A guide to designing wheelchair using characters!

I hope this helps anyone who's trying to design their oc using a wheelchair, it's not a complete guide but I tried my best! deffo do more research if you're writing them as a character

Listen. Fantasy world building? Fun. Easy. You’ve got a nice little grab bag of tropes and creatures to work with if it doesn’t need to be that complex.

But sci-fi?

I am losing my mind with my sci-fi book. I don’t want it to seem like I’m copying any sci-fi series, so I’m making my own tech system. But I know nothing about tech, so it’s all completely random with the most hand wavy explanation.

Also, I’ve written a human character as the engineer when I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT AN ENGINEER CAN DO WITH EARTH SCIENCE. Listen. I know she’s way too smart for her age/backstory but I need SOMEONE who can deal with the tech and if the skills magically transfer over into this new form of technology seamlessly that’s fine. It’s just going to have to be that way.

AND you need to invent a whole new civilization/species on every planet you go to! And when your characters are nomad smugglers, they end up in at a lot of planets!

Sci-fi is hard y’all. Sci-fi writers have my respect.

I do not know who she is. I don’t know what her name is or was. But my subconscious always goes back to her, like it’s trying to force me to remember her name.
