seeing discourse starting about steve possibly still having some sort of feelings for nancy, and i would like to remind you of something:

nancy was the first girl steve was ever in love with. she literally broke his heart, that is not debatable. he has not spent extended time with her in like a year and a half. he is struggling to figure out what type of relationship he wants to have and in his mind? nancy was the entire fucking package. while he is no longer in love with her, i don’t think it regresses his arc if he realizes “shit, i wish i could find another girl like her.” he’s probably always going to have a soft spot for her, i think that’s a given. and it can be hard to get over your first love! unless he says “yeah i still love nancy”, i’m not going to assume he does.

this annabeth chase casting is so important because it's gonna show black girls that they're not just sexual objects for white men. it'll show them that they can be loved, that they're beautiful, just like princesses. this show is gonna have a white boy loving a black girl for her intellect and spunk, not just her body. i am so happy.
