In early March of this year I visited Sedona during a nice snow storm that blanketed the red rocks in several inches of fresh powder creating a winter wonderland that only happens in Sedona for a very short time. This snow only lasted a day. I'm often asked if I edit my photos and I always answer "absolutely ". Adjustments need to be made for any image to reach that difference between capture and vision. Here is a prime example between what the camera sees vs what my mind sees and it's my job to take what the camera captures and get a print that most closely matches what I saw in my minds eye. Went #camping with my wife @jamieraptor in the #kaibabnationalforest for some #landscape and possible #wildlife #photography On our way back to camp from this shoot we were growled at by an unseen and agitated bear! The light was low as the sun had already dipped below the horizon and we had about two miles to hike through some very unforgiving terrain to get back to camp. That's when we heard the bear from ahead of us about 50 yards or so. Another irritated growl/huff a couple minutes later let us know the the bear was circling around us to the left. My wife and I started making a bunch of noise (slapping my tripods legs together and talking loud) to let the bear know where we were so we wouldn't surprise it. We got to camp without incident. However, a few minutes after getting back we heard another bear! A little farther out but still too close for comfort. We decided to break down camp in the dark and head home. We were almost through tearing down camp when the bear that was further away let us know that it was now closer, much closer. I heard it huff and snort. It was walking down the dirt road barely 30 yards from camp! Black bears can run up to 30 mph and a charge can cover that 30 yards in a matter of seconds. Continuity and change, although opposites, both are equally important in business and personal growth. Continuity in business is vital in such things as quality and professionalism. If either of these begin to decline due to lack of motivation, caring or bad management of money and time your customers will note this and take thier business elsewhere. Personally, continuity is important because you only see results when you stay with certain regimens like eating right and working out. That being said, if changes don't happen in your business, whatever your business is will grow stagnant causing the general public to believe that you've nothing new to offer them. As for changes in your personal life, you will not improve those things that need to be improved without changing what you do or read. For example, if you go to the gym and never change your workout routine, your gains will plateau and all that work will not pay off.
