fast approaching mondays
With the fast approach of Monday the 21st, and the struggle to finish summer reading for AP literature and research all of the answers to my never ending questions looming over my senior year. But ya it’s gonna be great! (I say with a more or less sarcastic tone through the screen). It’s hard to not know what’s gonna be in your future and all of the possibilities and the different routes to achieve your goals. At least I finished school shopping and finding a refuge within the aisle of flourescent highlighters and all of the planners you would want to buy. I mean it motivates serious organization and planning skills and serious effort and keeping up with it all. Can I seriously not just hire someone to organize my potential soon to be notes? (asking for a friend). This is weird but it does give me enormous pleasure to be organized and if I could buy ANYTHING, it would have to be school supplies even if me and school aren’t always on good terms... I mean, that’s weird right?? But I have optimism for this great year to unfold and me not have to plan or stress about college soon to be. But waking up early never becomes a routine to me no matter if I wake up at 4:45 in the morning every single freaking day....... Yeah, still doesn’t become a routine. It is extremely difficult when you see bodybuilders in high school when you have to choose between good grades, sleep, or a social life.. But that doesn’t even cover it all. You have to factor in eating healthy, because it’s so easy to just eat junk when you have to rush to work right after school, or excercise to balance out all those cheat meals (whoops) #accidental , or when you actually want to look presentable to society and somewhat look decent but the weather is totally against you that day and turns your hair into an absolute frizzball. I mean is it just me, or is the temptation to eat a glazed donut with extra glaze super tempting??? And you would think.. that after being a chubby 6th grader, I would want to be extremely healthy and go vegan and worship cows. No. I relish in a good, juicy burger every now and then. More now than then but we’ll look over that small fact. But then again, I don’t bash super healthy food. Healthy fried rice with steamed vegetables is pretty darn good. I could eat that everyday if I had a personal cook and a fit trainer who could turn anyone into a walking 6 pack. But I believe it can happen to anyone, and if you believe that.. then you’re already halfway there :)

Junior Year onto Senioritis
So hi guys :) this is my first time ever making a blog and I am super duper excited!!
Last year was my Junior year of high school and it was the most overwhelming year yet!! It was honestly an awful year.. awful doesn’t even do the year any justice. It was my first year to take an AP(advanced placement) course which is kind of like prep for college... and I took 4... I am definitely NOT an overachiever and felt overwhelmed because of the lack of readiness and prep work I had done to pass with an A. There are a few things I did learn, some of them the very hard way but nevertheless I learned them and here they are. Some may even help you. :)
1. ALWAYS bring your headphones and charger!! That does not mean play games or constantly text on your phone.. (nice try!). That does mean that it gives you your little place to focus and get work done and help zone out some people that just need Jesus lol.
2. Don’t expect to walk out with the same friends you walked in with. This is sad but accurate. You will make friends along the way and drop some too. It’s just the way of life and people do change. Some people are not who you thought they were and others allow you to be the best part of yourself. High school is a place to grow as a person and with the skill set you want for life so either those people are going to grow with you or ya gotta cut em loose.
3. Popularity is not important!! Make friends with everyone and don’t be that person who cuts friends off or burns bridges because you think you’re cool. You’re really not and you might hurt a friend who was actually your friend for someone who is TEMPORARY.
4. Study now, love later. High school guys are still maturing and it is important to make friends instead of have boyfriends that turn into awkward situations you want to avoid CONSTANTLY in the hall. It does happen. Yes.
5. GPA GPA GPA. Gotta stress this constantly. If you care about your grades, you will be happier and people will ask you how you are successful which in turn, will make you feel fantastic about yourself and want to help others succeed.
6. Last but not least, just be yourself! High school is full of people trying to be someone they’re not so don’t turn into that person.
I was someone who took mostly AP, and I had low B’s and wasn’t on top of my work like I should’ve been. But it’s never too late to start caring and motivating and bettering yourself. I was intimidated so many times by smarter kids than I was (or who appeared to be smart) and I shouldn’t have let that intimidate me. I am now onto my Senior year and will soon be taking the SAT and applying to colleges. I am nervous but that does not mean that I will hold myself back from being the greatest that I can be. God is in control of everyone’s life and he knows the future and the plans he has for every single one of us.
