My partner recently referred to acotar as “ACOTAR: The Last Faebender.” And I haven’t recovered since. What is this, a crossover episode?

I was watching Dungeon Meshi with friends, and one of them commented that Marcille basically used human transmutation to bring Falin back. Which, I mean, they have a point?
And seeing how that turned out in the latest episode, I’m pretty sure Marcille’s now having an Edward moment . . .

Warning: Dungeon Meshi spoiler meme time
Still here? Delightful . . .
I mean, where’s the lie?
Also, why was this last episode so wild? *side eye*

This post has inspired me to create something beautifully cursed.
So on the topic of Delicious In Denny’s . . .
All I’m saying is, Laios and Senshi would open that pit up! Straight crabcore (mimicore?) activities! Summoning circle pit! Moshing? More like Meshi-ing.
I must be stopped :p

Since we already have memes of Dungeons, Dragons, and Dives, I want a Hell’s Kitchen x Dungeon Meshi crossover. Call it “Hell’s Dungeon,” or “Delicious In Hell.” Whichever is more cursed.
The final boss of the dungeon isn’t a mad mage, it’s just an angry Englishman (I mean, arguably they’re the same thing? lol) Come on, Gordon screaming “where’s the ooze sauce?” at Senshi or calling someone a “Paladin Sandwich” would be peak content!

Horimiya: Piece Episode 9 Watch Thoughts
In a shocking turn of events, Yasuda continues to prove he’s just as awful as we all knew he was. Who could have guessed?
Meanwhile, I’m starting to feel as if the whole of Piece resembles a show such as Daily Life of High School Boys or D-Frag more than it does the first season of Horimiya, considering the emphasis on the recurrent shenanigans of the guys in the friend group—the misadventures of Ishikawa, Miyamura, and Sengoku in particular (though of course, Iura and Yanagi are included as well). I won’t say that I am opposed to the different focus/the higher prevalence of comedy in Piece, just that I wasn’t expecting it.

Horimiya: Piece Episode 7 Watch Thoughts
I love the Sakura character development! I’m always here and supportive of more Sakura content. And seeing Yanagi a bit more was fun as well.
Getting insight into Sawada’s trials and challenges socially with others in her class helps to flesh out some of her motivations a bit more, I’d say, which was interesting. And the pseudo-sibling dynamic between Miyamura and her is fun, in all its awkwardness.
I now kind of want to see a segment that is a parody/pastiche showing us a Konoha plot line (the “theme song” in the ending persuaded me).

So, my thoughts post-viewing The Place Promised In Our Early Days are that there seems to be a positive trajectory in Makoto Shinkai’s movies in terms of quality, moving from his earlier films to his later works. While I’m not going to outright say that TPPIOED is a bad film, it does at times feel somewhat underdeveloped. And the conclusion is sudden, to say the least. If I had to sum up the film’s themes pithily, I’d say, “teen angst, but make it parallel worlds.”
