So apparently this is an actual thing, kinda though not usually for color. It’s called bio-mineralization and several species of insect including leaf cutter ants do it to in crease the strength and sharpness of their mandibles.
What if the reason for the vivid coloration of Dragons and the hardness of their scales is due to high metal content and then the metal oxidizes. Because historically a lot of paints have used metal oxidizes as pigment for paints.

I’m reblog if for three reasons. First I’m very forgetful. Second this is a wonderful resource. Third I know at least one of my players follows my blog on here and I want them to be mildly concerned about the ideas this gives me.

When you say vultures protect the living from the dead, and vultures are holy creatures. My brain instantly goes “the vultures protect us from zombies.”

Vultures are holy creatures.
Tending the dead.
Bowing low.
Bared head.
Whispers to cold flesh,
“Your old name is not your king.
I rename you ‘Everything.’”

“In 1404, King Taejong fell from his horse during a hunting expedition. Embarrassed, looking to his left and right, he commanded, “Do not let the historian find out about this.” To his disappointment, the historian accompanying the hunting party included these words in the annals, in addition to a description of the king’s fall.“

The human body is a strange thing when it’s sick most of it solutions are basically just you playing a high stakes game of chicken with death. Like a fever you are cooking the sickness in hopes that it cooks and dies faster than your brain does.

to the Individual or group that decided that plants who grew from seeds should to be called sporophytes and that plants grown from spores should be called gametophytes. From the bottom of my soul in whatever shape it may be. I hope your pillows are always hot and hope your dreams are filled with pain for the thousands of botany students whou you have thus cursed.
