Makaria, goddess of blessed death🥀

hi!! here's me Makaria along with refs:D

shes really fun it's been awhile since I've had a "simple" design

lore ⬇️⬇️⬇️

in my retelling, Makaria was originally a human who's home was under attack. she decides to sacrifice herself to the gods in the middle of a bloody battlefield, causing her to be struck by Zeus lighting like pictured.

Because Hades was also present from all the deaths around her in her last moments, it was decided that she would be one of his pupils.

Makaria ends up working with Thanatos after Zagreus's death, and it becomes easier for Than to grieve with her support. Makaria becomes vital to the death process, verifying humans with her kiss of death before sending them to the underworld.

Because Makaria is a human that was turned into a goddess, she doesn't have a true form like my other gods will have !! every instance where Zeus gives powers, however, leaves the person with his lighting scars. Mak decides to often cover hers up with face paint!
