So I'm on a productive stint with the comic(4 pages already complete!), so here's some previews. Also I wanna let folks know that I'm switching over to full color now.

I hit a wall with my interest in exploring halftones and it's not like I'm producing chapters very quickly that way anymore, so I may as well just follow my bliss and make the comic look cooler haha

The Jinxland Witchguard: Soldiers of the Coven Empire trained to serve the Coven's needs. The red ones are particularly loyal to Blinkelle.

Ended up designing an emblem for the Coven Empire as well while I was getting these guys designed. I reserve the right to come up with something better later, but for now the compass imagery feels appropriate lol

I'm not even a little active in whatever community there is for the Oz books, so I dunno how people feel about Pon and Princess Gloria and how they're usually portrayed by fans. Hopefully people like the interpretation in the latest chapter haha

I'm shuffling A LOT of the original 14 Baum books around in this comic to wrap them all into one big story, which I can only hope is kinda exciting and new for folks in the know.

YBR Is Not Dead, I Promise

I just want to let folks know I haven't forgotten about the comic! My updates are sporadic, but I promise I will have a week where I suddenly get the rest of the pages of this next chapter done at some point haha

I hope I'm not disappointing folks by only updating the comic once a month, my art is just better when I let myself tackle it when I'm in the right headspace. If I treat the comic like my job I'd probably take all the fun away and burn myself out.

But, just to give folks an update: I got the chapter scripted a couple weeks ago and the first page is entirely done. The chapter will be the usual length of about 10 pages.

I may also take a crack at making a tiny little lore wiki there over time, but for now I spent all weekend using my poor knowledge of coding to get it exactly how I wanted and I am tired haha

Finally finished this chapter after a burst of drawing! Wrist hurts now. Next chapter you can look forward to actually getting some action in this action comic, too, so that's exciting!

I feel bad for having so many chapters with just talking, but also action doesn't really matter if you don't lay the groundwork so maybe that's a silly worry.

Anyway, hope you enjoy and feel reassured that I didn't just abandon the comic!
