This was a few days ago @wanderlustcreamery in Venice. So good!!! Half scoops of my favorite #dairyfree Gianduja, pure cacao and hazelnut paste, inspired by Piedmont, Italy, and Vietnamese Rocky Road from their seasonal flavors, inspired by Vietnam and Hai Van Pass, which translates as “Sea Cloud Pass,” Vietnamese coffee with clouds of condensed milk marshmallow, crunchy caramelized cacao nibs, and french roast bit. Can you tell how delicious this was from the photo? One of the best dutch oven meals I’ve ever made. I added some @frontiercoop Vietnamese cinnamon, ground cloves, and curry along with a lot of other good things and cooked it on low to medium heat for more than two hours and it had the most beautiful flavors. I almost never use a recipe and go by inspiration and what I have on hand, so no two dishes are ever quite the same. Some video and photos in my stories and highlight “new food” if you’d like to see some behind the scenes. 💛💫 . With all organic, celery, red onion, carrots, Celtic sea salt, black pepper, paprika, thyme, thai basil, bay leaves, and more. Been browning the chicken and adding spices at that stage and then deglazing the pan with @hornitostequila recently! Deconstructed smoothie!!! Homemade!!! With a lot of love and help from @erewhonmarket and all the farmers, growers, harvesters, beekeepers, plants, trees, bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, sunshine, rain, Mother Nature, and so on. I love you!!! ☀️☀️☀️ . That creamy-color chunk in there is organic cacao butter!! Yes, you read that right, cacao butter. I just started learning a bit about cacao, the bean of an evergreen tree that all chocolate, cacao, and cocoa are made from. I bought some cacao butter for the first time yesterday, which came in chunks like this. I am now totally obsessed with it!!! It not only tasted delicious with these other foods this morning but it melts with our natural body heat and I used it as a moisturizer for my skin and even a little on my hair and I love it so much already!!! . Other ingredients I put into this deconstructed smoothie bowl: blackberries, Fuji apple, raw local honey, Vietnamese cinnamon, chia seeds, a tiny bit of ground cloves because I heard they’re healthy, a bit of spring water to get the chia seeds to become gel-ey, walnut dust (what was in the walnut container after I ate most of the walnuts), cacao nibs (I read this is the other part of the cacao bean when it’s made into cacao butter it separates into the two parts, cacao butter and cacao nibs).
