Today is the 10th year since Kenneth Mond was created! I made him on 29 April 2014. I really didn't expect him to come back until I started writing with him again in 2021, since he was made for a subplot of a long-finished (but unreleased) project, but I'm so happy I wrote with him again in Regards. Happy 10 years, Kenneth!

I've knit a blue infinity scarf! This one uses 100% wool yarn, and a pattern I first learned in 2015. It's the pattern and colour I had in mind when I gave one of my characters a soft blue infinity scarf in my first novel, actually.

I did some sewing again tonight. A pair of black linen pants was in need of mending (I put them through just a little bit too much last year, especially at my old job — I gave my toughest battles to my most dress-code compliant clothing). It's a maxi skirt now! :D I feel like this is my go-to method of altering pants now when the condition is a little too critical to do a simple closing of a tear or a few. This transformation was easier to do for the linen skirt than the mini skirt that used to be my main pair of black jeans; initially being a wider-legged garment gave me much more material to work with, so I didn't need to make a front-panel the same way as before.

Wow I have some very old art on here. Drawing Oriel and Rhiannon again lately has made me very nostalgic for 2017-2019, but I shouldn't be nostalgic for then, because my art skills I feel great about are here in 2024 with me. But. It's strange to think that so many years have passed since then. The books I wrote then don't feel quite as old to me as they really are, either.

I always feel so strange mentioning Oriel by her full name when I also have to mention the book that she’s from because Madder shows up in both and I’m afraid that people will think she’s supposed to be the protagonist? But really Seth is the main character and I’m so afraid that it gets confusing when I give Oriel more attention in my art and otherwise? It’s probably a really silly thing to worry about, but I can’t help but wonder if people find it a little misleading! It’s so hard not to give Oriel a bit more attention though….. I always thought my favourite character would be one of my protagonists, but I guess I was wrong?
