Be sure to stand up for yourself

And the things that you believe.”

But life is not that simple,

Not a story from a book.

If you think you know your ending,

Then you sadly are mistook.

New hopes and dreams arise from life,

And try to shake away the pain.

And though we cry of things we’ve lost,

We mustn’t overlook the gain.

The most important things in life

Change, as we knew they would.

But I hope you say, when you look back,

“I have been changed for good.”
