i hate the uncanny valley sometimes because people will be like “oooooo if we’re afraid of this there means there must be an evolutionary reason 😱 if we’re so afraid of things that look human but aren’t then there must mean there was once something out there 😧” like yeah there fucking was actually. 1. homosapiens weren’t the only humanoid species. all kinds of other archaic humans existed alongside our species for some time, such as homoneanderthalensis. 2. dead bodies exist. they decay. they appear human but have distinct warping to features as they rot. same goes for point 3. which is diseases often warp the human form!! especially extreme ones that are oftentimes more fatal than not. we aren’t evolutionary scared of the “uncanny valley” because slenderman terrorized our ancestor some hundreds of thousands of years ago, but because coming into contact with a human that looks off often led to death. yknow. just like why we’re evolutionarily afraid of everything else. because it could kill us. diseases and other species could kill us. stop inciting paranoia in people goddamn.

A few questions for the Sundown era AU:

Did Wukong ever properly explain why he didn't want a cub? Or was it like brushed off, "Nope no babies" and then like "end of discussion Mac" type of situation?

Also is there a risk of Mac getting preggers on accident?

Does MK ever get like whiplash with how motherly Mac is in SD universe? Like compared to in his universe where Mac enjoys keeping MK on his toes; whereas this Mac wants to dote and smother him.

With all the rumors of Wukong cheating and all the marriage proposals coming in since the discovery of MK. We know people are more brave about insulting Mac. The poor monkey has to reach a breaking point. Like maybe it's after a rough meeting with the brotherhood where Azure was more bold with his flirting and trying to bond with MK. Or Mac just heard one too many negative things about himself and his marriage (all he lacks, and how he's shit, this was inevitable, etc) would he go into private to breakdown? Or reach out to Wukong for comfort (but trying to disguise that he's not asking for reassurance, that he is enough, but instead being like "no I'm just letting you cuddle me today, don't make me regret it" then proceed to cling to Wukong)? I feel like even if he went to do it privately Wukong would not leave him alone and would try to comfort him.

Yeah it was pretty much a "macaque please let's not talk about this you know how I feel" type of situation so they never really got to fully talk about it properly

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT????
