Clone wars hc

Been lurking on tumblr for a bit (while) and decided to throw my own clone wars hc cause the hyperfixation be hyper fixated (sorry for any spelling errors).

Kit Fisto and Obi-Wan are bffs - They both lose their robes and seem to flirt with anything that walks. meaning they have get togethers and give each other flirting advice.

Jocasta Nu and Admrial Yularen are BAMF, and are severly underrated. you don't get away with hurting someone they care about unpunished.

Rex's first thought of ashoka was "that's a child" followed by "that's a child on a battle field" and then "that's a child on a battle field with no clothes, what the kark".

One of the shinies from Monnk's battalion definitely asked Fisto (while high on pain meds) if he lactates and monnk and fisto lost their shit and couldn't stop laughing for 5 min straight.

Kix (and other medics by default) have tranq/hypo guns for any vode or jedi that try to leave med bay when on bed rest.

Fox and Amidala gossip and constantly talks shit about Palpatine

Kit Fisto Smile Supremacy, this man win's best smile, it never fails to cheer someone up.

Rex definitely twirls his guns before putting them in his holsters when he's done using them

Bly is obviously in love with Aayla, and he tries to hide it (and fails miserably) but he's so respectful about loving her and swooning, that Quinlan couldn't even give him a shovel talk.

the clones were absolutely baffled when they met the jedi's

Wolffe and Fox are twins, they might be at each others throats 90% of the time, but if you talk shit about the one of them, the other won't hesitate to beat your ass.

Monnk says the most off handed shit in a dead pan tone (ex. Monnk: well I'm not gonna live, laugh, love this. Fisto, laughing his ass off: I-I'm Sorry? Monnk: I'm just saying this is gonna be a bitch)

Plo Koon is Plo Buir, He's at least adopted the Wolf Pack and Ashoka

the 501st and Ashoka are siblings

Grey adopted Caleb Dume

The Iron Battalion/13th battalion took one look at Cal and immediately adopted him

Ponds isn't dead (cause fuck canon), he found Boba before his schemes could go off and made him a deal, He helps Boba plan the assassination attempts on Windu (he trust his general won't die, but he gave him more headaches) so there's no casualties, but slowly the attempts stop and now Boba just lives in the 91st venator's vents.

The first time Cody picked up Obi-Wan's lightsaber he thought it was so cool, and now he just wants to glue the damn thing into his hand

Hound spoils Grizzer, he absolutely adores the massif

Jesse make sure Kix is actually taking care of himself, and make sure he's not over working (and when necessary, he uses a hypo to make sure Kix sleeps, cause Kix will hold that over his head and pay him back for it)

Fox and Thorn are opposites but they are really close

The corrie guard has a list of all the good and bad senators

The most forms that Monnk and Cody (and occasionally Ponds) fill out are forms for more robes

Cody's name is Kote (but goes by Cody cause so many nat borns mispronounce it) and Obi-Wan randomly asked if that was his name, and Cody was just utterly shocked

After Umbara, Fox say a very traumatized trooper (it's Dogma) who is facing shitty consequences for doing the right thing and adopts him into the guard

After Kix woke up from his stasis and found artoo's (again, fuck canon) he would stay up on nights he couldn't sleep and watch videos of him and his vode from artoo's memory bank

Clones using their Jedi's lightsaber - Cody using Kenobi's lightsaber after he loses it for the millionth time, Rex using it to back ventress away from ashoka, Fox finding quinlan's in a dumpster (with quinlan in said dumpster)

Hound let's grizzer purposely tackle people when he can easily apprehend them because it's funny or because whoever he's chasing pissed him off and he's petty

Yoda is the ultimate menace (like srs palpitine hates his ass, but yoda -and everyone else- hates him even more)

Yoda still keeps in touch with Rys, Jek, and Thire (mainly Thire) after the treaty or smth

The Corrie found Quinlan Vos in a dumpster and now he won't stop bugging them (expecially Fox)

Fox is a walking encyclopedia of every republic laws, you do one minor thing wrong and he can quote every law you broke, word to word

A trooper (let's call him Sharks) from Fisto and Monnk's battalion can just get a group of sharks to gather around, at every planet, every time, without fail

Plo's disappointed dad sigh can make a separatist army fold into defeat

Kenobi absolutely loathes caf, he hates it with a passion

Each high ranking clone officer has to deal with something of their jedi - Cody has to deal with Kenobi flirting with seperatist and losing his lightsaber, Rex has to deal with his general constantly crashing ships, his batshit crazy plans and his general continuously using the force to throw him, Monnk has to deal with his general randomly "shedding" clothes, and all the clones have to deal with their generals and commanders not wearing armor (Except for Jaro Tapal, HE'S THE ONLY ONE WHO WEARS ARMOR)

Corrie Guard can sleep standing up, very useful when guarding in the pods during senate meetings

The nice Senators (mainly Chuichi, Amidala, and Organa) and Vos very often get things for the Coruscant Guards, and whenever the guard see's the gifts they are baffled and bamboozled

Rex called dibs on Domino squad after the moon mission

Echo and Fives without hesitation took Tup and Dogma under their wing

Fives, Hardcase and Jesse started a prank war in the 501st that accidently evolved into a GAR wide prank war (with Coruscant being neutral ground, cause the guard doesn't need to deal with that shit, doesn't mean they don't help out)

Fox holds ALL the blackmail, and has multiple informants in every battalion, plus he has the power to withhold caf shipments

Fox also regularly reads his batchmates mission reports to mae sure their ok

The Corrie guard accidently adopted a stray tooka and a loth cat, now they're the guards emotional support animals

Rex keeps complaining about his brothers flirting with their jedi's that he didn't even realized that he third wheeled between Anakin and Padme that he joined their relationship

every mothers or fathers day without fail, shaak ti and plo koon always gets presents and gifts from their children (troopers and cadets.... and ashoka)

Coric is Kix's Ori'vod, he didn't admit it at first but Kix grew on him and well medics stay togeth

Coric purposely avoided being CMO of the 501st because they are hellions, Kix wanted to strangle him after he realized what being CMO of the 501st meant

Rex was on the 212th with Cody when Anakin was still a padawan

Rex hates evals, natural blonde plus Kamino is a recipe for hell. Also he was shocked at Skywalker being nonchalant about his hair, Anakin just though it made him cooler

That's all I have for now, if you see any you've seen before my bad, I honestly just typed the first that came to mind and kinda spiraled from there. I'm just now starting to interact with tumblr, so I might upload more and maybe even some art if I can stay focused long enough.

I happened to do some research and apparently it’s considered rude in Japan to hug people :’) and it’s something usually only couples do, so why not write some first hug prompts with my fav team, yay! i always see first kiss but my touch starved ass believes in hug supremacy

type: fluff, gn!reader (implied female at yamamotos) x nekoma boys (unfortunately no teshiro)

warnings: none! maybe yamamoto being silly 🤗 also lowercase intended, not proof read so sorry for any typos !!

summary: you hugging your friend (who happens to have a crush on you) for the first time!

#1 TETSURŌ KUROO

when you approached the captain after practice, he wasn’t surprised. you guys would often walk to the train station together with kenma, so he assumed this was the case. “hey! finished everything up already?” you chirped, arriving in front of him and smiling. he nodded, gesturing at his bag and humming. “kenma’s still getting changed.” taking the chance of him extending his arm, you slipped below and pressed your body against his chest. he froze up for a second, about to hug you back until you had already slipped away from his touch. he beat himself up about it later </3

#2 NOBUYUKI KAI

“need some help?” his voice echoed in your ears and you spun around in surprise. “ah, kai! good morning! yes, i’d appreciate that.” you had been trying to build up the net for practice and kai had luckily arrived shortly after you. he fixed your mistake with ease, finishing it up faster than you expected. “all done.” he spoke, giving you a thumbs up. you hesitated, but gave him a quick hug that was extended by kai tightning his grip around you and patting your back a few times, before finally releasing you. in the end, you were more flustered about it than him.

#3 MORISUKE YAKU

“y’know, yaku, i think you’re a bit harsh on lev sometimes.” you spoke, facing the 3rd year. he stayed silent for a second, before speaking. “he deserves it.” before he was able to move on, you continued. “i don’t think you’re that short though, yakkun. it’s great for hugging!” a light red hue spread along his cheeks, him turning away from you. that was, until he felt your arms wrap around his body and he completely froze up, somehow being able to reciprocate your touch. “see?”

#4 TAKETORA YAMAMOTO

it’s no secret that yamamoto was scared to talk to girls, but you wanted to change that. when you found out why he was avoiding you, you did your best on befriending him and somehow managed to do it after two weeks of being the manager. yamamoto had insisted on walking you home, so you complied after his constant begging all day. arriving in front of your home, he bowed before you and wished you a good night. he started walking off until you grabbed his wrist and pulled him into your embrace. let’s just say, you broke him.

#5 KENMA KOZUME

with kenma, the hug was out of nowhere. the boys had just returned from their run (even though it was very cold outside) and most of them were warmed up, except for one certain member. he was pathetically standing next to kuroo, shaking like a madman, and you shook your head at his carelessness. you approached him, looking at him one last time before pressing your body against his in an attempt to warm him up. his cheeks heated up, but he didn’t really know what to do so he simply wrapped his free arm around you lazily, enjoying the heat. the rest of the boys couldn’t help but feel slightly jealous.

#6 SHŌHEI FUKUNAGA

when you saw shōhei getting the balls with inuoka, you just got hit with the urge randomly. he was there and you were cold, so why not? you got up from the bench, putting your notebook and pencil down and jogged over to him. he looked at you in silence, waiting for you to say something until you opened your arms and looked at him expectantly. he tried to understand what you were doing, inuoka having to come for help and pushed him forward slightly. finally getting at your idea, he shyly complied and wrapped his arms around you. when you parted, he was as red as a tomato.

#7 SŌ INUOKA

in this case, inuoka was actually the one who initiated the hug. while on a walk, he saw a couple hugging and his mind immediatly wandered to you, happy with the idea he just got. once he entered the gym building after changing into his correct attire, his eyes landed on you and he jogged over to your side, grinning at you. “ah, good morning sō! do you need something?” you smiled up at him. he nodded. “can i hug you?” he asked, you blushing a little bit at his direct behavior. “oh! sure!” you agreed, standing up and extending your arms for him. he squeezed you against him tightly, you laughing a bit at his intensity. he hugged you more often after that :)

#11 LEV HAIBA

like inuoka, he was the one that initiated the hug. since one of his parents was european, hugging was normal in his family and he just wanted to do it one day when he saw you all cuddled up in a jacket you borrowed from a friend. he thought you looked cute, so he went up to you and engulfed your body in his arms. “oi- lev?!” you exclaimed, surprised at his gesture. nonetheless he didn’t let go, and waited until you hugged him back to release his grip.

#12 YŪKI SHIBAYAMA

“yūki, could you help me with this?” you called out, showing him a riddle on your phone. he nodded, sitting down next to you and explaining it to you, waiting until you finally understood. in that moment you were just grateful for his help, and didn’t hesitate from getting up and hugging him quickly. personally he thought it was too short, ignoring the small blush on his face at the sudden body contact. he definitely gave you multiple hints of wanting another hug after that.

• Just somehow he is always touching you whenever you wake up.

• This means y'all have the cutest pictures whenever the members catch you asleep though.

• On long car journeys this boy falls asleep on your shoulder instantly.

• It's pretty impressive.

She'll usually pay due to her modelling giving her more money than the average high school student, and she insists because of this.

-Ann is all for physical affection, she is all over you every chance she gets. Cuddles, kisses, spooning, you name it. You MIGHT get some PDA out of her but not a lot, unless she just gets one of those sudden bursts of confidence out of seemingly nowhere.

-At home dates work for her too. She's totally on board with snuggling up on the couch absolutely drowning in blankets to watch a movie. Bonus points if the two of you fall asleep together just like that.

-As for the more...explicit parts of a relationship, the kind that hormonal teenagers get the most excited over...yeah Kamoshida did some serious damage on that front. If you wanna do that with her, it's going to take a while before she builds up the confidence to wanna explore that. You'll have to bring it up in conversation first, though.

-It is not an uncommon occurrence for you to find some sort of sweet treat on your desk as you go into school in the morning. Nothing big, just a little something Ann found while out in town that made her think of you.

Makoto Niijima

-Ahh, the student council president. Calm, composed, put together, and has zero idea what in God's green Earth she's doing when it comes to an S/O.

-If she was being completely honest she barely has any idea how she managed to even get an S/O in the first place, but she certainly won't be caught complaining. It's nice to know she has someone she knows she can count on for a change. At least anyone that's not just her sister.

-Makoto is the type to show affection in subtler ways, namely through worrying about you. Your grades, your health, your diet, she makes sure you're on top of it. It could come off as overbearing at times, but she does it to show she cares about you.

-She's much more of the shy type when it comes to more direct displays of affection. The subtle brushing of her hand against yours before it eventually rests on or holds it, her head on your shoulder as you two are sitting together. It'll take a bit before she becomes more confident to show how she really feels, but however she does it, watching the normally cold, professional student council president unwind like that is always quite cute.

-Take her to see an action movie, particularly a Yazuka movie, and she's super engrossed in it, no matter how much she blushes and stutters as she tries to initially deny it. If you're a fan of those movies too, that's even better for her.

-Study dates are a regular occurrence. If your grades aren't looking the best, Makoto is about to come in clutch and save you, whether you like it or not. She won't really be mad though, as long as you show you're at least trying your best.

-Outside of that though, she much prefers dates at your place or hers. Watching a movie, making dinner together, and just in general talking about whatever comes to mind. It's a very cozy, homely atmosphere.

Futaba Sakura

-The social shut-in neet. The only shot you're having at a relationship with Futaba is if you're a Phantom Thief. Otherwise you will have no idea she exists.

-You thought Makoto was nervous going into a relationship? Yeah you haven't seen shit yet.

-Your first order of business in this relationship would pretty obviously be getting Sojiro's approval. Being a Phantom Thief and helping her get out of her room is a nice start, at the very least. Once you've proved yourself to him though, you've secured yourself the ultimate wingman.

-It's going to take quite a bit of convincing to take Futaba out somewhere. Your best bet would be Akihabara too look at all the tech stuff, video game/anime merch, and other general nerd things. All the while she's attached to you at the hip of course. If you leave her sight for even a second she'll never forgive you. At least that's what she says, anyway.

-Most dates are obviously going to be indoors, whether in her room or at Leblanc. Watching anime, playing video games, just about what you'd expect. All the while she'll nerd out about lore/story and teach you anything you're confused on or show some super cool tech in whatever video game you're playing, after thoroughly trouncing you, of course. Will probably make jokes about being your sensei and stuff like that.

-A fun little trick to do is to peck her cheek when you're playing something together to catch her off guard. She'll go red as a beet as her brain completely stops working, after which she'll accuse you of cheating. She'll try to eventually show affection herself in similar ways though she'll get super shy about it and act like it didn't happen. It's pretty freaking cute.

-Also she will 100 percent borrow your clothes without your permission, no matter how oversized they are. She has commandeered your entire wardrobe.

Haru Okumura

-What. A. Sweetie.

-If you're aiming for a relationship with this heiress, you're gonna have to play the long game for a bit. When you were about to be married to Sugimura you'd probably need a break from anything romance related for a while as well. Once Haru does feel ready enough to give relationships a try again with someone she actually cares about it's really something.

-Haru is the soft kind of girlfriend, both figuratively and literally. She treats you with nothing but patience and kindness, and trusts you more than anyone else. She does anything she can for you and will push aside anything and everything if you're ever in need.

-Cuddles with her are soft, fluffy, and warm. It's almost like a sheep, you could stay like that with her for hours.

-Her favorite type of date is naturally anything involving gardening. If you're inexperienced with this sort of thing, Haru is more than happy to teach you everything you need to know. Ask her to do so and the smile on her face could replace the sun.

-The easiest way for her to show affection is through gifts. She's the heiress of one of the largest companies in the world, she has more than enough to spend on you and then some. If you say anything about something cool you want when in her general vicinity you'll be getting that same thing not even a week later. To be frank, you'll probably need to be careful when talking about that sort of stuff, she will have zero inhibitions when it comes to gift giving.

-And don't even get me started when things like Valentine's Day, Christmas, and god forbid your birthday roll around lmfao.

-Whether it's at home baking sweets, spending time a cozy cafe out in Shinjuku, or at a restaurant so fancy that you feel underdressed no matter what you wear, Haru is down for all of it. The only detail that matters to her on a date, and her life in general is that you're there.

-And for the love of God do not let this woman drive, you are gambling with your fucking life.

Sumire Yoshizawa

-A relationship with Sumire would probably start out...awkward. Especially if you knew her while she was posing as Kasumi.

-A lot of guilt and low self-esteem will make the relationship a work in progress to begin with. An S/O of hers will need to be there for her and assure her that she is enough. They're in love with Sumire, not the image and identity of Kasumi she placed upon herself.

-It won't be forever, though. She'll eventually bounce back, knowing that she needs to be there for you like you are for her.

-Sumire is loyal above all else. You showed your loyalty when your stuck by her through such a strange, confusing and difficult time in her life, and she's damn well gonna make sure she returns the favor.

-It'll take a while for her to warm up to it, but she is all in for physical and verbal affection. Anything to show just how much she loves you. Just not in public...

-Sumire would definitely work best with an S/O that praises her for everything she does. It gives her a warm, fuzzy feeling inside and makes her feel satisfied.

-She'd definitely be the type to want to push you to be your best self, physically and mentally. She knows what the latter is like more than anything else and doesn't want you to fall into the same trap. Physically active dates are her forte. A jog around the park in the morning followed by a good breakfast at a restaurant somewhere and she's in Heaven.

-Speaking of which, you better have a good amount of money on hand whenever you go out on a date, lest you run the risk of her draining it dry on food. She'll at least have the decency to know when it's better to stop most of the time but when she gets going, she really gets going, especially if you have a hearty appetite yourself.

-You're naturally sure to catch her gymnastics competitions, whether online or in person. It serves as a motivator for Sumire. Knowing you're watching from somewhere really gives her that extra drive to do her best. You're the reason she's gotten this far, she won't let you down as long as she has something to say about it. Not just in her dreams to be a world class gymnast, but in her entire life.

After the defeat and imprisonment of the Titans in Tartarus, Zeus and his sibling’s authority seem all but assured. But there comes another challenger. From the union of Gaia and Tartarus is born Typhon, a fearsome and powerful creature who seeks supremacy of the cosmos. As previously discussed, Typhon was the father many of the famous monsters from Greek myth. (*see Protogenoi 5: Echidna Mother of Monsters)

Hesiod describes the storm god as having a hundred snake heads with glowing fiery eyes, and crying out terrifying hisses and bellows of bulls, lions, and dogs. Apollodorus describes Typhon as having a human upper body, but coiled serpents below, with snakes for hands, great wings, and filthy hair, and being so enormous that his head touched the heavens. Zeus and Typhon clash in a battle that is described as primordial and cataclysmic with raging sea waves, lightning storms, and scorching winds. Olympus reels. But Zeus, with his lightning bolts, eventually thrashes the rebel god, sending Typhon down through a scorched earth, to join his other siblings in Tartarus.

Apollodorus gives us a more complex and colorful version of the conflict, where the Olympian siblings transform into animals and flee to Egypt to escape the beast. Zeus, with adamantine sickle, grapples with Typhon, losing the weapon, then having the sinews of his hands and feet cut. The beast deposits Zeus in a cave and hides the sinews in a bear skin, with a she-dragon maiden Delphyne to guard him. But Hermes and Aegipan sneak in and return Zeus sinews, who then re-enters the battle on a winged horse chariot pummeling Typhon with lightning bolts. The creature flees to Mount Nysa, where the Morai (fates) trick Typhon into eating poisoned fruits. Now weakened, Typhon throws entire mountains at Zeus retaliation, but Zeus casts Mount Etna upon the beast, finally defeating him.

Freckled Alastor Supremacy 🛐🛐

Third art, from the left side, is an old art that I did when I was still quite new and haven't watched the full show yet as I tried to draw Hiromi(OC and also an old design of hers) and Alastor in Vivzie's artstyle and it turned out down right awful lol. 5/10 👎 jk

seijoh road trip ¡!

(bc i’m on a super long car ride right now)

let’s start with seating arrangements (assume they’re in an suv or something bc those maniacs would not be able to fit in anything small)

iwaizumi’s driving (i don’t think this needs an explanation)

matsukawa’s in the passengers seat. always. he’s the oldest sibling so therefore the front seat is his god-given right, sitting in the back is just too foreign for him

(he’d also put together a pretty nice playlist for the trip let’s be honest)

kindaichi’s also usually a front seater (when he drives w his family), but with anyone else he prefers the very back row. it’s nice and secluded :)

plus he always sits next to kunimi, and kunimi needs the seclusion

speaking of needs, yahaba gets car sick ridiculously easy, so he needs to be next to a window so he can have easy vomiting access

like actually, the slightest bump or turn will make him throw up.

watari’s right there next to him (he’s the only one sane enough & versatile enough to handle being in the very center of everything)

oikawa’s sitting behind iwaizumi, partially to be a helpful navigator and partially to annoy the fuck outta him

makki’s in the third row. i don’t have much to say about this, he’s just chill. you could put him on the hood of the car and he’d be all “this is cool man”

kyoutani’s in the trunk lol

he’s a trunk guy?? he’d sit back there with his dog and enjoy being away from everyone (plus he kinda hates the feel of seatbelts, they’re too constrictive)

hanamaki is the king of snacks. chips? he’s got em. chocolates? he’s got em. cookies? he’s got em. that boys bag is the equivalent to mary poppins’, the snacks just keep coming

kunimi’s blasting music/white noise/anything into his earbuds the entire ride. he NEEDS his shit to be charged because he’s not about to listen to people talking (read: arguing) for hours on end

kindaichi’s always the one who had to go to the bathroom immediately after they leave the rest stop

“why didn’t you go back there??”

“I DIDN’T HAVE TO GO THEN-”

when everyone falls asleep iwaizumi likes to listen to true crime podcasts

the only thing is, watari is physically incapable of falling asleep in cars (i am projecting) so he just has to listen in horror as a narrator describes the most gruesome, bloody murders he’s ever heard

they accidentally left kindaichi behind once at a gas station (it was only for 5 minutes, but he sobbed uncontrollably)

after that they made sure to do a head count at every stop

every half hour oikawa will get bored and make them all play games like i spy, 20 questions, truth or dare (mostly truths), etc.

cue kyouhaba crawling over the seats to beat the shit out of each other during punch buggy

kunimi’s splayed over kindaichi for half of the trip

so hanamaki will be having a conversation with kindaichi and trying so hard to ignore the fact that kunimi’s head is in his lap and the former is combing his fingers through the latters hair

oikawa switches out to drive so that iwaizumi can sleep for a bit, but ends up screaming at some dumb crap another car did and is banned from the wheel (road rage oikawa supremacy!)

kyoutani’s the “are we there yet?” person. every ten minutes he’ll ask how much longer until they stop

when they do stop, he’ll just go run a lap or two. then come back ten times happier than before, he just needs to stretch his legs !!

mattsun will look up fun facts about each place they visit to entertain everyone :) he’ll be very “dad”-ish about it, like “woaahh, listen to this kids” and “jeez louise that’s a cool little nugget of information”

(we need more dorky matsukawa he’s a total fucking nerd sometimes)

he likes to recline his seat all the way back just to piss yahaba off (he moves it back upright but only after making the second year say please)

yahaba practically falls to the ground when they pull over at rest stops. everyone will go get food/water and pee and he’ll still be kneeling on the pavement holding his stomach when they get back

(when i said the guy gets car sick i MEANT CAR SICK)

in between podcast episodes, iwaizumi will look back at all his sleeping teammates (and a mortified watari) and just think about how much he loves his friends :))

like they’re singing to a corny song, maybe they’re admiring the reader and what they did that day, anything that gets them all nervous and embarrassed once they realize that the reader is standing there, maybe a different scenario for each one (awkward n blushy boys supremacy)

Happy birthday!!! I hope it was an amazing day <<3333!!!!! Anyways I LOVE all these characters (though I have a harder time writing for silver and sebek)(hopefully diasomnia chapter reveals more of them). I also love blushy and flustered boys! I'm going to split this post in two since there's 8 total, so this one will have four and then the next four will come later! (bc,,, i simply cannot stop writing about the scarabia duo,,,)

PT 1: Riddle, Ruggie, Azul, and Jade (You're here)/ PT 2: Jamil, Kalim, Sebek, and Silver (WIP)

Minor TW for blood on Azul's part but it's not too much

Riddle:

He had not believed that there was anyone around. After a particularly stressful week, the boy had wanted nothing more than to tend to the hedgehogs that he had considered to be akin to his own children.

He was in his gym uniform, not wanting to get his dorm leader uniform dirty, and hunched over, in the cage and giggling softly as the hedgehogs squeaked and nipped at his fingers. He cups one of them in his hands, pulling it out and petting it's smooth forehead, chuckling and kissing it softly.

"Have you all been lonely?" Riddle asks quietly, turning to the others. He looks around the open garden, warm sun kissing his pale skin as he peeks around the tall hedges, ears perked in the half-hope-half-fear of one of his dormmates seeing him in such a state.

No screaming of Deuce, no obnoxious laughter from Ace. He didn't hear the tapping against a phone screen, or Trey's heavy footsteps on the grass. Perhaps, Riddle thought, he truly was alone.

He felt as though the heavy weight on his shoulders was lifted off as he hurriedly takes each hedgehog out of the cage, sitting cross legged on the ground and placing the small animals in the small area that his legs had created. Some of them try to climb his pants and escape, making him chuckle softly at their squeaks. He gingerly lifts one into his lap, petting it gently.

Warmth fills his heart when it nuzzles into his open palm. The others soon follow, clambering over one another as they try to climb higher and higher up. He lays down, the cold grass tickling his cheeks as the boy squirms as they crawl up his neck and lick at his face, making him laugh loudly and pick them up and move them away.

He looks down and stifles another joyful giggle seeing them resting on his chest, a few of them trying to bite at his shirt and others dozing off. He picks one up gently and nuzzles his face into it's own small one, affection filling his heart and threatening to spill out into the rest of his body.

He smiles softly at the small animal, chuckling.

"Hey, Riddle, I found this little guy when I-" He all but yelps and whips around to face you, standing dumbfounded next to the hedges and holding a small hedgehog that nuzzles into your palm. Heat crawls up his neck and burns his ears and eyes as he gulps, mouth opening and closing in mortification.

"It-I- I- I was si-simply-" He stammer, sitting up quickly (though, not too quickly as to keep the animals on his body safe).

To his surprise, you make your way beside him and sit down, your knees touching as you reach over and place the hedgehog atop his head. He gasps, lungs refusing to work as your hand gently brushes his cheek on the way back.

You smile softly at him.

"Don't be embarrassed! It's cute!"

He swears he could feel his heart explode in his chest, mind racing as he gulps back another squeal. He was sure that late at night, accompanied only by the moonlight, he would bury his face in his pillow and giggle like a schoolgirl looking back on this moment.

As of right now, he could not think of anything else to do but stammer and try to calm his racing heart. He meets your eyes only to see them pressed into joyful crescents that make the butterflies in his stomach swarm as he mumbles an apology, standing and running out of the garden, leaving you and the hedgehogs to watch him leave in confusion and disbelief.

Ruggie Bucchi:

The hyena sits up and groans, running his hands through his messy hair for the umpteenth time as he struggles to read the words on the pages. They dance around the page as he knits his eyebrows on his forehead, phone resting beside the open book for if he needs to look up a definition or a concept. He had asked to study with you to seem smarter than he was, to impress you somehow, but he was failing.

"Should've asked Leona to teach me this shit beforehand..." He thinks to himself bitterly, glancing over at the human who lays on his bed, reading through their history book and taking notes off to the side. They kick their feet and look over to him as he sits hunched over at his desk. He looks away, face warming up as he sighs, looking up another definition.

He tries not to show his annoyance or embarrassment at being unable to understand a textbook, but he knows that you wouldn't hold it against him. Ruggie told you bashfully before your first study session about how he couldn't go to school as a child, and was just now learning what his peers had learnt years before. You were understanding, and you were patient as you sometimes helped him define a word or solve a basic math problem.

He chews on his pen, sighing in annoyance as he looks up another word, scribbling down the definition in the margins of his already filled notebook. Most of his pens were already chewed through, a nervous habit of his since he was a child. Normally he has something else to chew- whether that be a popsicle stick or the plastic thing you had given him as a gift after you learnt of this habit, but he had no popsicles, and the chewing thing was in his gym locker (put there for the moments before particularly stressful Magshift matches). Normally he wouldn't chew pens, and he always had his magical pen to write with, but he'd even caught his hands idly lifting the magical object to his open mouth when he couldn't figure out one tricky question.

He hears you giggle and he turns quickly, pouting over the pen in his mouth. You laugh more and cover your face as the boy's face flushes a bright red and he jumps at how your gleeful expression made his heart turn, biting down on the pen and sending a cascade of ink into his mouth.

He winces and gags, sputtering as the ink drips down his chin, face flushing crimson in embarrassment now.

In his frenzy to not get ink on his clothes, he doesn't even notice how you'd rushed to grab a towel, gently holding his face in your hands and wiping the substance from his mouth. He coughs up more and you fight back a chuckle, Ruggie letting out an annoyed, embarrassed, and shy whine from the back of his throat. His ears are flat on his head as he pouts up at you, face still red as his heart races at speeds that he couldn't even imagine. He fights the urge to clasp a clawed hand over his heart and beg it to slow down, that he couldn't hand the waves of emotions that were slamming his mind and body.

You chuckle and wipe the last bits from his lip, sitting back.

"Go wash your mouth out-" Ruggie stands and, realizing that he could very easily blow his (very obvious) nonchalant cover, decides to try to gain the upper hand. He places a hand on your cheek and chuckles, tracing his claws down your neck and tracing along your arm. He revels in the goosebumps that rise on your flesh, fighting back his own blush as he grabs your arm and raises it to his mouth, licking a long, black stripe along your skin.

"Go wash your arm," He laughs at your flustered expression as you smack his stomach, making him double over and ignore the chemical taste that coats his throat. He laughs even harder when he sees that he left a trail of black along your face.

"That was so gross!"

"You laughed at me first! You had it comin'!" Ruggie grins when you huff and whine, waving his hand as he enters his room's bathroom. "Let's call it a day!" He shouts, washing his mouth out and splashing his face with cold water, pressing a damp towel to his face and ignoring the way that his heart still fluttered and his face still felt as hot as the savanna in the summer.

Azul Ashengrotto:

Azul sat hunched over his desk, glasses cast off to the side as he sighed, hand cramping from scribbling away at paperwork for so long. His normally neat silver hair was unken=mpt and frizzy as it cascaded down his faceHis back aches from his hunched over position, and his limbs beg him to move after being seated for hours upon hours on end.

"'Zul?"

"Mn?" He barely has the energy to respond to you properly. The VIP room is dimmed, and the lounge outside is cleaned out for the night. The only visitors since ten at night have been the twins, coming in to tell Azul that the Lounge had been properly closed and everything went well.

"Are you okay?" The cecaelia nods, not even sparing you a glance as he continues to work on his paperwork. Another hour passes as he sits up and stretches, taking a big breath and groaning when his neck cracks a few times from the change in position. Leaning back, he chews idly on his nails when he reaches a problem, wincing when he bites down too far and blood drips down his finger, threatening to drip down onto his paper. The nail hangs off to the side, still attached to his finger as he curses under his breath.

He hears a gasp and his blood runs cold as he stares up at you, sky blue eyes wide in mortification as the tips of his ears turn red and his heart pounds in his chest. He had somehow forgotten that you were still still present, and that you were watching him bite his nails. He stammers and tries to come up with excuses as you approach his desk, grabbing the first aid kit from one of the drawers.

You sit on the arm of his plush chair and he can feel your warm breath dance across his face. Your legs practically cross over his, and you hold his injured hand as though he were made of glass, your own soft hands caressing the finger and searching for the nail clips. .

Azul's head spins and he feels although he were going to faint, a sweat forming along his collar as he gulps, unable to do something as simple as breath around you as it catches in his throat and he stares up at your expression, heart longing to pull you in and hold your face and connect his lips to your own soft-

He yelps quietly when you tug the nail loose, tossing it into the trash and applying antiseptic, wrapping his finger in a small bandage.

"I-ah-" He clears his throat, trying to regain his composure. "Thank you."

You nod and smile down at him, raising his bandaged finger to your lips and pressing a faint kiss to the tip. Azul could swear that he blacked out for a second as he gasps and his chest constricts, heat from before returning tenfold. To his dismay, you hop off the chair and grab your things, heading towards the door.

"Get some rest, okay?" He can only gape and nod, waiting until you leave to grab his coat from behind his chair and scream into it in half-embarrassment and half-disbelief.

Jade Leech:

It wasn't everyday that Jade got time to himself. He was often running around, either trying to keep control in the Lounge, chasing after (or encouraging) his twin, or doing normal student activities. He hadn't much time to himself in the past few weeks, and it was starting to get to him. No matter how much sleep he would get, he would still awaken with deep eyebags. His police facade would drop more quickly, and he even noticed how he was snapping at his brother and Azul much more than he normally would.

Jade was exhausted, and it showed in the way his skin had lost its luster and how his eyelids would threaten to droop at every moment that he wasn't up and running around.

He felt bubbly when he looked at his schedule and noticed that after classes, he had an entire afternoon off. The blank space in his schedule made his heart soar and he beamed, walking with a pep to his step between each class (one that terrified his classmates).

Once he finally collapsed in his desk in his room. Floyd was away at a basketball game, Azul had shut down the lounge for the afternoon for routine cleaning, and he was finally alone.

He sighs happily, stretching back in his chair and running his hands through his hair as he reached for one of his terrariums, some of the pieces old or moved out of place from the lack of attention that they'd been receiving.

"I'm sorry, little one," The mer mumbles, opening the lid and moving around the materials with a small pair of tweeers. He could feel the stress of the day slowly ebb away with every passing second. His shoulders were more relaxed, his eyebrows were no longer knitted on his forehead, and all the tension on his back seemed to be gone as he began humming softly, an old song from his hometown that his mother would sing to him.

Jade beams, humming louder and lost in his own world when he feels a tap upon his shoulder. He stifles a gasp and whips around, eyes wide as he looks at the Prefect, heat rising to his face. The human stands, arms up as if to prove that they were defenseless.

"Are you... okay?" The ask him quietly. He gulps, breathing returning to normal as he looks between them and his terrariums.

He knows the flush on his face is apparent, and he could feel the sweat pool in his palms that rest on his lap.

"Yes. Of course," He practically spits out, mind racing too fast for him to come up with a longer response. You chuckle nervously, raising your hand and placing it on his shoulder.

"I called your name a few times and you weren't responding..."

"I was busy."

"I see..." You smile, and Jade fights the urge to gulp down the butterflies once more as he stares up at you, eyes glazing over in adoration that he fights with every ounce of energy that he has. His stomach turns as you ruffle his hair playfully, placing a book on his desk with a picture of various flora on the cover. "I found it in Ramshackle's library... did you know I have a library? Anyways, I thought you would like it."

He nods and runs a shaky hand over the cover. "Yes. Thank you," He mumbles quietly, turning his face to meet your gaze. "Thank you." He repeats, much quieter this time. You chuckle and nod.

"Anytime..." You turn to leave, bag slung over your shoulder and you turn, smiling at him once more and making his chest feel as though it was full of flame. "Also, you have a nice singing voice. It suits you." And with that last comment, your gone, and Jade can release the breath he didn't realize he was holding, clutching his chest and covering his mouth that had twisted into a wide grin.

He turns to his terrariums, feet tapping more than they were before you came.

Trauma Porn vs Representing Black Struggle in IWTV

TW: Domestic Violence (Focus) Rape (mentioned 1x)

Spoilers for the IWTV AMC Series

I think a lot of the distraught or incredibly positive reactions to Episode 5 of IWTV’s ending from black fans is because of the noticeable lack of genuine representation of black IPV let alone black queer people facing IPV at all. So not only was the scene without a trigger warning and absolutely out of nowhere (with of course the obvious foreshadowing and Lestat’s abusive behavior setting it up) but it was something that has barely been done for mainstream genre TV.

So as a black fan, seeing violence towards black people (trauma porn) is certainly not new to me... but seeing black queer people’s stories focus on IPV is something that I haven’t seen. It leaves me incredibly conflicted in ways that cannot be transcribed.

Genre TV, media in general, and even reality has an obsession with whitewashing (pun unintended) IPV towards black people unless it’s specifically meant to degrade us and utilize racist stereotypes. Rarely ever does IPV towards queer black people get spoken about in real life, let alone in fiction. So for a story to just be for real for a hot minute about that topic is both disturbing and jaw dropping.

I oscillate between “I can’t believe they would ever put this on TV” and “I’m so glad that they made this a plotline because nobody talks about this,”. IPV perpetrated by white people towards their black partners especially from a historical context is not talked about. And it certainly is not the focus of period pieces or literature as often as it should be.

This is even being taken away from us TODAY in history books; centuries of rape and domestic violence from the slave trade to Jim Crow is being censored RIGHT NOW. This is not isolated behavior.

And to see white IWTV fans sidestep this entirely back during the final stretch of season one to complain that having Lestat (who canonically abused Louis in other ways) assault Louis somehow ruined LESTAT’S character and THEIR SHIP. While completely sidestepping what themes they were intending and got across (you know like genuine media literacy) and the onscreen brutalization that happened without warning is disgusting.

Being able to cherry pick quotes and argue about whether or not slapping is “DV” is not only gross but it’s just not media literacy. That’s literacy... like good job bestie you can read! But it’s certainly doesn’t mean you have the range or comprehension to understand the intended themes of Episode 5 at all. And until white people begin to understand the nuances of being a black person being abused by a white person who holds power over you, it’s going to continue being out of reach.

It’s one thing to dislike it’s inclusion, because I also agree. But I’ve noticed that The Great Lestat Discourse TM has become the discussion rather than the perspective of how white supremacy aided in perpetuating domestic violence and the choice to show gory and unflinching physical abuse without a trigger warning.

White fans being disingenuous and asking Louis to fade into the background until Lestat (the white character) becomes the focus for TVL. While constantly mocking and ignoring the concept of IPV towards black people makes the point for me as to why this was an interesting and purposeful direction to head in. IPV is so ignored that when IWTV includes it, fans went out of their way to argue whether or not their favorite white boy would DARE TO DO THIS, and not why the writers did this and what they were attempting to say. IPV and queer victims of abuse are so ignored that after this happened people started making posts talking about APOLOGIZING TO A FICTIONAL LESTAT for writers “slandering” him! Discussions about abuse in interracial relationships during Jim Crow are so far ignored that people started to publicly doubt that actual domestic violence in interracial relationships existed at all! So badly that the writers had to come out and say that they wouldn’t make Louis “not the victim” when recontextualizing episode 5.
