Derek Powers

A corporate shark of the highest order, Derek Powers would stop at nothing to become the most successful businessman out there. He ran Powers Technology and attempted on numerous occasions to take over Wayne Enterprises. Bruce Wayne had long since stepped away from the company and once Luscious Fox retired, Powers finally had the votes needed to orchestrate a merger, creating the conglomerate, Wayne-Powers with Powers himself as the chief executive officer.

Wayne-Powers would go on to branch into multiple fields, absorbing numerous smaller companies and making Powers incredibly wealthy and powerful.

In his unhinged efforts to augment his wishes and influences, Powers began to focus on weapons manufacturing, specifically biological agents to be sold to overseas entities. Herein, Powers had his scientists cultivate a deadly, mutagenic nerve toxin. In order to test this toxin, Powers arranged for an employee to be infected, making it look like an accidental leak.

Dying from the infection, the employee managed to smuggle out information on what Powers was up to, passing it along to Warren McGinnis. Powers was aware that McGinnis had this information and he had his agent murder McGinnis and stage the scene so that it appeared a random crime perpetrated by the street gang known as The Jokerz.

Warren’s teenage son, Terry, looked into his father’s murder, an investigation that ultimately led him to Bruce Wayne and resulted in the youth taking on the mantle of the new Batman. As Batman, Terry was able to break up Powers’ scheme and prevent the sale of the biological weapon. In the ensuing fracas, Powers was exposed to a lethal dosage of the nerve toxin.

Powers was rushed into treatment and bombarded with mutagenic radiation in hopes of counteracting the toxin. The process succeeded in saving Powers life yet left him gravely transformed. He was changed into a living dynamo of radioactivity with translucent skin. Somehow he was able to evade prosecution and remained the CEO of Wayne-Powers. Yet his condition continued to worsen and his efforts to reverse it all failed. He slowly descended into madness and the super villain known as Blight.

Actor Sherman Howard provided the voice for Derek Powers, with the nemesis first appearing in the debut episode of Batman Beyond.

hunter is a lot of things as a yandere that are all due to his upbringing by emperor belos

hunter is clingy, obsessive, possessive and overprotective of you, all because you are his favorite person!

he even isolates you from the world around you, because he so desperately needs to have you for himself

growing up, he was never someone's favorite person and now that he has you, he can't lose being your favorite!

hunter depends on you and needs to have you in his life, otherwise it would be completely meaningless…

he's only so overbearingly clingy, obsessive, overprotective and possessive because he couldn't live without being your favorite person

and to make sure he always stays your favorite, he keeps you hidden away from the world

but there is one boy who dares to defy hunter and force his way into your life; edric blight!

edric had the wrong idea about your relationship from the start and always misread the signals you were giving him

you were just being polite when talking to him, but edric was convinced you were secretly in love with him and not hunter!

because of that, edric is quite condescending and can come off as quite a douche, because he's just so convinced that you're in love with him

he's always flirting with you and playfully teasing, though sometimes he can come off more as a bully with his teasing

the way he talks about your relationship with hunter, mocking you for liking the golden guard, can often get you to tear up, only for edric to brush it off as him just making a joke and you being too sensitive

whenever edric makes you cry, he won't leave you alone until you assure him that you aren't mad at him, training you to say things like "i'm never mad at you" or "i still love you"

deep down, he knows he can't easily steal you away from hunter, so he has to condition you into loving him, by regularly training you to say that you love him

hunter and edric absolutely despise each other!

hunter locks you away to keep you away from edric, yet edric still manages to sneak in and steal you away for a date outside

while hunter is the nice one out of the two, the one that makes you feel loved, edric is the one that makes you feel free!

and you really do need both of those things; love and freedom

slowly, the two boys have to accept that, even if they'd rather be the only one in your life

they'd rather kill each other than have the other steal you away from them, but they know it would only make you sad if they died, so they don't hurt each other

after all, they both do want you to be happy…

It would be really, really cool if the headcanon that Deathslinger hunts the other killers for Talbot to experiment on during Halloween was real, and for his blighted cosmetic, he had the orange serum stuff on his clothes but he wasn't actually affected by the serum itself, sort of similar to the survivor cosmetics, as "compensation" by Talbot for completing his bounties

Also would fucking explain why he HASN'T GOTTEN A BLIGHTED COSMETIC YET
