A small illustration for Pokemon Concierge. I really love Haru’s mug and kettle so I decided to do a little scene with them and make some packaging for tea bags and honey ,which I really enjoyed doing! I loved the show, I know it’s short, but it’s an extremely cozy and cute story that I think used its 4 episodes very well and also, the decision to use stop motion was such an amazing one! I also loved Karen Fukuhara’s performance as Haru, she embedded the character with such genuine awe and amazement that I think all of us would feel if we where surrounded by Pokemon 💖 And I especially love Haru’s interactions with Psyduck, they were so lovely together 💖 I can’t wait to get the chance to draw some fanart for the show!

What is royal honey in this context I am curious.

Is it The Stuff (y'know.) or is it something else

Not exactly.

Royal Honey is a special type of honey used to enhance the essence of the Queen of a Hive, in this case Vespiquin.

When a Female Combee evolves, their hive will harvest and feed her the Royal Honey to help her produce pheromones that the hive will use to acknowledge her as Queen.

People can eat it, and it is very sweet, but it's not encouraged to eat because too much of it can make other creatures sick.

It's one of those things that really is just made for that species.

You won't die or anything but people don't always react to it well, and some people can have a more tippy time, but it's really like eating raw sugar syrup from a factory, it will mess your stomach up.
