Danny is a house husband.
That's it, that's all it is.
As the years went on. Danny retired from being a superhero. There was no need for Phantom when the GIW were dealt with and all the ghosts were under control.
Now what's left for him to do but to just sit back, relax, and finally be able to live his life.
Sam and Tucker on the other hand....
Well, they had plenty of pent up rage, wits, and chaos inside their mind to become villains.
But they had one rule.
Never bring work home and to never involve Danny in any of their supervillain business.
Okay that's technically two rules, but they're kind of synonymous especially since Danny has been taking care of their house while also entertaining himself with trying new hobbies.
Tucker and Sam both make sure that they never bring any of their villainy home to Danny, because all they want is for Danny to enjoy his happy hero retirement.
And Danny in turn, doesn't bat an eye when watching the news and seeing that there were magical plants that were attacking sites that oil companies were digging or that somehow Lex Luthor had lost five hundred million dollars and had somehow leaked records showing he was building weapons of mass destruction.
He also doesn't bat an eye when he sees that Tucker had brought home a telescope that definitely looks like it came from some fancy lab because hey, Tucker was making him an observatory so he can look at the stars and planets. While also how they were able to make a great gaming pc with computer parts that are definitely not sold in stores, because hey at least the newest update of Doomed wasn't lagging.
Or that Sam comes home with various plants and animals that are definitely not from planet earth, but hey the three headed wolf-lizard-eagle- hybrid thing (that Danny has affectionately named Fluffy) is pretty great at keeping the pests away from his vegetable garden and likes to eat any of Danny's new food creations and is a great playmate for Cujo.
So you can imagine how the Justice League thinks when dealing with the pair of new villains: Upload (Tucker) and Sam (I could not think of a villain name that would suit her, so it's up to you what you think her villain name would be)
And how they were currently wreaking havoc in the city either by cyber warfare with robots or by magic plant monster or a Frankenstein of both approaches. The heroes had all evacuated the civilians from the battle zone and are currently fighting a losing battle. When they've been effectively captured and restrained by the two. Right before the villains could go into a monologue, they hear a person clearing their throat.
Everybody looks to see a 25 year old man wearing a sweater vest (he made it himself, thank you very much) currently holding onto the leash of a giant glowing green dog and some kind of giant animal hybrid. The man's arms were crossed and was currently not sporting a very happy look on his face.
Tucker and Sam (looking at Danny with hesitant smiles): Hi honey.
Danny (frowning): you missed our anniversary dinner.
Tucker and Sam both pale as they quickly realized what the date and time was.
The league all watch as Sam and Tucker immediately start apologizing to the man that just walked into a battle zone.
Danny (still frowning): Hmph! I guess since you two didn't want dinner you can go back to your little fight. Don't expect me to make you any lunches for the next month, and since you two are having so much fun here, you'll be sleeping by yourselves for the next couple weeks.
The league all watch as they were let go as Sam and Tucker yell as they run after Danny yelling apologies as he was walking away from them.
This is not the last they see of Danny.
When Danny is displeased with either of his partners, he'll invite a hero over to have lunch of afternoon tea.

Another one of these
Damian’s new classmate is odd, though not nearly as unpleasant to be around as everyone else at the school.
He doesn’t seem to be from wealthy family, but he also seems mostly unconcerned with the punishments doled out by the school for “getting into fights with his peers,” unlike many of the students in on academic programs. He thinks himself stupid, but Damian would be worried about having him as a rogue from the things he’s seen the boy tinkering with if he didn’t know that Fenton had his heart set on NASA. He’s clumsy, but it seems to be out of habit rather than any true issues with balance and spatial awareness. He filled in Damian’s gaps in knowledge concerning social structures and how to operate within them, with only minimal prompting. Whenever Damian forgot a word or figure of speech in English, and used the equivalent in a different language, Fenton always understood.
He has a dog that he has yet to let meet, but claims that “Cujo isn’t really my dog, he just hangs around.”
He is clearly metahuman. If the abnormal body temperature, changing eye color, and ability to avoid Damian so consistently weren’t enough evidence, then the fact that his presence made Damian so at ease, made him feel safe, energized, and reassured of his own competence in some strange way the not even his father or Richard could, was the nail in the coffin.
Naturally, Damian sought out his company during lunch and group projects.
It was only logical to evaluate Fenton so as to make sure he knew what to expect should the boy be controlled either by extortion or by any of the rogues’ mind control methods. It was only a beneficial side effect that doing so made Damian feel safer, made his thoughts of inadequacy quiet down, and made it easier to rest without a weapon. It also helped that Fenton didn’t question things like most of his family did. His peer didn’t ask why he needed a nap after a 3-day weekend with no homework. He didn’t ask why Damian was out “sick” so often. He simply handed Damian a sleeping mask to make it easier to rest, even if he didn’t fall asleep. He gave Damian a guide to the shorthand he used for class notes, and filled him in on what he missed whenever he came home from being “ill.” He offered smuggled-in over the counter medications during study sessions freely, and with no question as to why Damian favored his right leg for the next week or so.
Damian saw Fenton during patrol once, when he and Batman had gotten to the crime scene after Fenton had broken the ribs of one of the robbers.
Damian would even go so far as to call Fenton his peer in his civilian life, though he would appreciate it if the rest of his siblings would stop teasing him about his “new friend,” and asking him “when are you going to invite your friend over?”
As tempting as it was to stab them into stopping it, he didn’t want to be on the receiving end of Alfred’s disappointed stare.
This fondness for Fenton was the only reason he didn’t immediately hold a knife to the boy’s throat when it was clear that he knew about what had happened.
“What had happened” being Damian falling through his chair, and partway into the ground with no warning.
That, and Fenton’s response of “Damn, this is the first time I’ve seen you fall through something all year. What made you finally slip up? Family issues? Death day coming up?”

I can just picture Hound desperately trying to get whoever was able to capture him off and away. Snarlihg and growling like a rabid animal. They end up with multiple bite and scratch marks that are bleeding but they do have Hound so it is a success
Its js a lil funny ngl -🐆
Naaah man Hound is gonna be living up to his namesake. Just imagine Makarov giving (read- forcing) Hound to get like titanium caps for his canine teeth - like the caps military dogs get to protect their teeth. So hound can literally rip throats out lol.
I imagine the 'easy' part would be to catch hound, it would be a 100 times harder to keep him in captivity if he was fully healthy, which is why I'm contemplating giving him some type of a temporary cripple.
Also like, Shadow company capturing hound, him biting the throat out of a few good men, before being subdued and Graves to 141 is like "fuck it, you can keep the Cujo. I'm gonna go get my men a rabies shot."

Damian's not quite sure what to make of this green, floating dog.
Gotham’s always bred a strange flavor of urban fauna. Damian himself has met, in his time living here: a two-headed pigeon, a bipedal rat which could open doors, and Killer Croc. (Jones’ birth certificate might say Florida, but everyone agrees he’s as good as Gotham-born, the way he chews metal and monologues.) But never before has Damian seen a puppy that glows, let alone phases through the lid of the dumpster it had been scavenging in.
The front of its tag has a logo for Axiom Labs, a company that was bought out some years ago by VladCo. The back has the name “CUJO” in permanent marker, and no phone number.
Well, it isn’t Damian’s fault if someone failed to chip their animal. If nobody comes to claim it, he’s sure Father will agree to a meta companion for Titus.

Gotham's Black Rose
Dpxdc fanfic Sam is Bruce Wayne's daughter, adopted by the Manson family. Everlasting Trio, toddler Ellie. Pharoah Tucker, Witch Sam, Space Ancient Danny. And Cujo too.
Chapter 2: Comfort and Planning
The last thing Sam wanted right now was for cameras to be flashing in her face or for reporters to be shoving mics at her. Shoving past the crowd yelling questions she didn't want to think about right now, Sam made her way towards the street.
It didn't take long for Danny to show up, motorcycle roaring down the street. His ice blue eyes glared at the noisy crowd, and they hesitated long enough for Sam to escape.
She jumped on, wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her face in his shoulder. They pulled away from the event without a single word to her parents - adopted parents apparently- which was for the best. Sam didn't even have words for them anymore.
-
Danny pulled into the Foley driveway with ease. Tucker sat on the patio, laptop open to live broadcast of the Manson's adoption reveal, and Ellie sat in a specially designed play pen with puppy Cujo.
"How's Sam?" Tuck asked, muting the video as Danny walked over.
"Oh you know." Danny said. "She's confused, disappointed, scared."
Turning around, Danny gently shook Sam onto Tucker's open arms.
"What a mess," Tucker sighed. "How do you just forget to mention that?"
"No idea man," Danny said.
The only one of them with a decent childhood was Tucker, and he's got horrible past-life memories of a Pharaoh's life in Egypt to process.
"I'm gonna curse them," Sam said. "They'll never be able to keep a secret ever again,"
"You know that's gonna have more consequences than you want to be responsible for," Tucker said.
"I know," Sam said. "...Pamela will always drop her pearls and Jeremy will never find the right cufflinks Pamela wants him to wear,"
"Petty," Danny said.
Sam nodded against Tucker's shoulder, before lifting her right hand, a twisting purple energy pooling in her palm. With a snap the magic vanished, off to fulfill its purpose on the unspecting Manson couple.
Ellie squealed in the pen, clapping her hands and chanting "magic! Magic!"
"So you've cursed them, what do you want to do now?" Danny asked, sitting on the grass.
Sam sat up, relocating to sitting on the stair and between Tucker's legs. Tucker ran his hands through Sam's hair, enjoying the company of his small family despite the heavy topic at hand.
"I want to know who my biological parents are," Sam said. "I want to know why I was put up for adoption and I want to move to Gotham as soon as possible."
"I can get us transferred to a Gotham high school for our senior year," Tucker said. "We're already accepted to Gotham University,"
"I can have me and Ellie packed by this weekend," Danny said.
"It's the last month of summer vacation so it's going to be a bit of a rushed transfer, I'll follow in my jeep, it's going to take me a minute to pack my office up,"
Sam let the boys plan their move, their voices a comforting background to her swirling emotions.
Ellie would know where she came from, no matter how complicated a story it was. Sam could see it, five years from now, they'd sit her down at the dinner table and explain an evil scientist tried to clone Danny, and instead Danny got an Ellie and she's been their daughter ever since.
Why was family so complicated?

10 Facts about Ángel
all credit to the incredible @the-whispers-of-death for the template/ layout (?) of this idea !!
⁰¹ Ángel is the biggest foodie ever, his relationship with food is so strong & his love language is making food for others. You could be in a completely different place (country, town etc) and say you’re hungry and he’ll be listing the different restaurants in a 15 minute radius.
⁰² Will always put family first, always. His mother and his daughter are the most important things in his life, and Lilia was the reason he left the special forces when he was 26- because he didn’t want to leave her to grow up without a father like he’d done. He regularly sees his mother and always brings her little baked goods <3
⁰³ He grew up in a superstitious household and is a firm believer of different folklore & myths- when he was younger he had a fear of rivers after his mother told him the story of La Llonora; now that he is older, he’s less afraid of them but he’s still wary.
⁰⁴ In Shadow Company he doesn’t use a callsign, though he’s fine with being called by the one he received whilst serving in the Mexican Special Forces- ‘Viper’. Unfortunately, the callsign wasn’t a testament to his skills but rather a result of a drunken night out where Ángel swore that there was a rattlesnake in his barracks, but after about an hour, it ended up just being a pair of socks and another soldier snoring.
⁰⁵ He genuinely enjoys learning languages (could not be me) and he currently speaks 4! Spanish was obviously easiest as it’s his first language, and portugese was easy enough for him to pick up as it is so similar. He learned English for the military and he learned Italian to impress someone who he thought was hot, he’s very passionate LOL.
⁰⁶ He’s actually very healthy in terms of coping mechanisms (i’m looking at you, cujo & bärchen) but if he ever does get bad he will stress clean and cook. Once after a prolonged medical leave, he got overwhelmed with the change & disruption to his normal routine and ended up gutting his whole house and cooked enough food to feed his entire street.
⁰⁷ When he was younger he really wanted to be an artist, he was talented for his age but when he was a teenager he had to accept that it wouldn’t actually be able to take him anywhere and he stopped to focus on more important things, like getting a good education.
⁰⁸ When he’s deployed, he sends Lilia letters and small gifts from the places he’s been. The letters are always very detailed and have little pictures and drawings of different things he’s seen that he thinks she’ll find interesting- this ranges from a dog in a bush to a pretty flower he saw.
⁰⁹ One of Ángel’s biggest fears is dying, but in the case of what he’s not done and what he’d be leaving behind. When Ángel almost died at 25 (after getting shot in the shoulder), his only thought was Lilia and his mother. Ángel was only 15 when his own father was killed, and he remembered how painful it was- he didn’t want Lilia to go through it, or for his mother to go through it again.
¹⁰ He adopted a stray cat off the street, and even though he told his mother that Lily begged him to- he was just as eager. The cat was dubbed ‘pozole’ by his mother because she threatened to turn it into stew, but Poz has grown on her now <3 Ángel says that when he’s away he misses Pozole more than Lily, and he’s only haaalf joking.

It wouldn't be @green-with-envy-phandom-event if I didn't draw Cujo at least once! This year he gets some company :)

Can I request where The reader finds Cujo thinking they’re just a regular puppy and brings them home to show Dan?
This one was pretty easy. A simple story, but simple stories aren't bad. Rather, I think they can be relaxing to read because I don't have to process particularly complex stuff the whole time.
Have a good one ^^

There is one rule in the unit. Just one. Oddly specific, yes.
It’s for everyone’s sakes, yours especially.
It begins with a puppy you find.
You’re out and about late at night in the city. To some, it may be unusual, since ghosts are more likely to attack at night. To you, it’s your nightly routine. Down the same beaten path you walked before, familiar landmarks to show you the way. Cracks in the ground that bring a rhythm to your step. The motion of the path, unchanging.
You’re just finishing off the day with a visit to a friend.
Down a particularly dimly lit walkway, you get fidgety. Generally, no one else is out at night. But the dark likes to play tricks on your mind. You get this prickly, tingling sensation that something is watching. A swift glance with your eyes, you’re almost positive you’re alone. The dim yellow haze of streetlamps is in both directions. It’s a relatively safe neighborhood.
You reassure yourself it’s just your mind. It… it’s just the shadows flickering. Nothing more.
Though, your mind keeps going back to the idea. That there is a manner of anything hiding in the dark.
A gaggle of bushes near you rustle loudly, so sudden that you jump back. Your chest pounds with a violently hammering heart. You watch the brush shake about nonstop for a couple of minutes. Leaves and branches twitch and shiver, but you don’t see anything that could be causing it.
Finally, the rustling comes to a quiet. You only hear what sounds like something moving through the bush, its thickness muffling it. Then, a bark resounds throughout the silent walkway. And then another.
A dog…? You think to yourself, mystified. Slowly, you lower yourself closer to the ground. You feel like you’re exposing yourself more by doing this, but you want to check, just in case.
Your eyes survey the underbrush. It’s too thick, there’s no way a dog could’ve gotten stuck under there. Your heart still beats in a panic, though it gradually slows down. Your hand presses deep into the grass and the soil to steady yourself.
The barks continue, growing louder and louder. You can’t discern if they’re cries for help, or of panic. Maybe both. A few more minutes pass with you fruitlessly checking where this “dog” is stuck within the bushes. Perhaps there isn’t even one at all, and your mind is playing tricks. Heaving a breath of frustration, you stand up with the intent to ignore everything.
Just as you turn to leave, the bushes explode in a shower of leaves, soil, and grass. It creates a dark cloud from which you can’t see anything at all. You hastily cover your face and wait until it settles. Several seconds and you dare to take a peek.
There’s something that wasn’t there before. Glowing green with bright eyes and slobbering loudly. A collar around the neck with the emblem of a tech company that came and went vaguely in your memory.
You kneel back down, surprise etching on your face. If your brows raise any further, they won’t be on your face anymore. You hesitantly reach out to the dog-the ghost dog.
“Hey there,” you say with a smile, hoping you’re not intimidating the dog. “Was that you running around in the bushes?”
The dog stares at you, eyes wide and ears perking slightly. He tilts his head as if in thought. Then he barks loudly and jumps at you. You cry a little and hold your arms out, and grunt in effort as the dog lands in them. The two of you share a look.
“You seem friendly enough,” you say, shrugging. A thought crosses your mind. “Oh, I should take you to Dan, I know he likes dogs.”
You then realize you don’t actually know if this dog has a name. You fumble around with the collar, your fingers awkwardly moving and bending with how small he is. Finding the circular shape of the tag and turn it around.
Cujo in big, sleek letters.
“Alright, Cujo, let’s get going,” you say, you lightly squeeze him to get a feel of his soft fur. Cujo barks in agreement.
You find Dan in no time at all. He’s always in the same place every night when you go see him. It’s not a suitable living space per se, but it’s comfortable enough for him. You see traces of him by the spectral glow through one of the windows. The old storage units on the edge of the city have long since fallen out of use. They grew to be popular hiding places for those who needed it.
You approach Dan’s “unit”, adjusting your arms to hold Cujo more comfortably. You open the door and the first thing you see is Dan floating high up, his posture indicates annoyance. He doesn’t even twitch when you call out to him.
Is it fate that you find Cujo? To bring Dan out of whatever mood he’s in?
You call out to him again. “Dan! Look what I found.”
Finally, his black and white visage turns attention to you. Red eyes survey you curiously. Dan’s form slowly eases back down to the ground, doing so elegantly.
You walk up to him just as he plants his feet on the ground. Dan looks from you to Cujo, who’s squirming about in your arms. Dan bears his signature grin, it highlights his fangs. You wonder if he does it on purpose.
“I see you met Cujo,” Dan states.
“Wh- you already know him?” You ask incredulously. You heft your arms, Cujo squirms more and more. Small growls come out of him, aiming at something in the storage unit. Finally, you have to let him jump out of your arms, they’re sore from trying to restrain him.
Cujo stands right where he is, hackles rising and snarling.
Dan leans in close to you. “You might want to step back.”
“Why?”
“Just step back.”
Confusion flooding your mind, you reluctantly step back. Though, it’s a good thing you did, even if Dan sometimes tells you things just to mess with you. In this instance, it’s because he does know Cujo. A bright green aura surrounds Cujo’s small form and in a flash, you see the silhouette of a much larger dog.
Much, much larger.
The now giant sized Cujo barks, it reverberates eerily through the building. Since you’re technically standing behind him, you feel the booming barks vibrate through your skeleton. A shiver travels down your spine, the bark echoes in your ears.
Cujo takes off, kicking up dust and debris up in the air. You hide behind Dan, not risking injury with a large ghost dog running about. You hear him crashing and smashing through the objects in the unit. Something shatters, and you flinch, your hand clenches onto his cape.
“Um… sorry…” you mumble out, staring in horror at the mess.
“It’s not like I particularly care about this place.” Dan shrugs it off. “But you do see why I don’t keep Cujo here.”
“Yes…” you nod shakily. “Very clearly.”
That’s how that one particular rule is put in place. It’s not because you hate dogs, not at all. Rather, think more of it as a caution.

You tour Lloyd’s home where you lose sleep and gorge on an endless selection of wine. But with misery comes company.
warnings: course language, violence, mentions of blood, heavy alcohol consumption. Mentions of past affiliations and traumas. Sassy reader. Patient soft!Lloyd.
word count: ~2.9k
authors note: thank you to those who’ve been pouring in their support for this little mishmash series. It’s been giving me the right push to write so I love you all to the sun, moon and stars xxx
This has not been beta’d - mistakes are my own
“Wow.” You gawk, blinded by polished marble flooring and prismatic chandeliers. There isn’t a speck of dust floating around. Every nook was pristine, almost uninhabited. Whereas you waltzed in, out of place, from rag to riches. This was meant to be your Cinderella story.
A soft click shuts the door behind you as Lloyd huffs, slowly undoing his cummerbund.
“What do you think?” He perpetuates, letting the pleated sash swish and cut through the air.
“You have a very beautiful home.” You politely add.
“I’m glad you think so.” Lloyd tyrants a genuine smile that is almost saccharine. You wanted to melt into the linoleum that very instant. “Come through, I’ll give you a quick tour.”
You nod, following him like a docile house cat as he turns every corridor with ease. He shows you the Michelin restaurant grade kitchen, the living room, theatre room, backyard, the entourage of house guards outback, your own butler, Jeeves, your maid, Maria. He shows you every closet, cupboard, nook and corner. In return you’re in awe of all the plants, fauna and paintings he’s bought off auction. There’s a room for everything imaginable and now there’s a room for you.
“This is where you’ll be.” He opens the unlatched double doors to reveal a platinum, all white suite.
“I could’ve easily taken the couch.” You state, casually eying the orthopaedic California king that floated in the middle of the room.
“You’re my guest.” He ensures. “You stay where I tell you to stay.”
“Is this where I kneel for the master?” You grit, swiveling to meet your crafty assailant eye to eye. There's that unnerving sass that doesn’t miss a beat. Lloyd knew how to break even.
“Only if you submit.” He sexually deviates in a tone that zings your core.
“Know your place.” You look him up and down before stepping into the room that is far from welcoming and close to an asylum of some sort.
“Sergio will get the rest of your things so that way you’ll feel more at home.” Lloyd explains when you aimlessly wander a barren corner that leads up to an illustrious walk in. You’re slightly appreciative but aghast.
“Wait, what about Cujo?”
“Cujo?” Lloyd tries his hardest not to laugh.
“My blue Merle.” You affirm and he relieves a sound ‘ahh.’ “Y’know, an Australian Shepherd.”
“He’s more than welcome here.” He smiles. It’s fake. Lloyd hates dogs. He’s not fond of Rooster the house cat that slithers through the back gates every so often. But for you the world was liminal. “Anything else?”
“This can’t be forever.” You spar with a sideways look.
“I know and there’ll be an end to all of this. But ultimately that’s your call to make mi Luna.” He simply states, rolling the ball back into your corner. “Now if you’ll excuse me I have some… business to deal with.” He pauses, poker faced.
“Do you think you’ll be OK?”
“In a house all to myself?” You fold your arms across your chest, tapping a foot that is ready to run.
“One is enough company.” He reminds you while unbuckling his watch links. There’s a tiny little smirk gracing the corners of his mouth.
“You’re telling me?” You theorize, disgusted by your own life lasting singleness. Lloyd easily takes to your self deprecating tendencies. He believes you’re perfect and cruel. He’d change the latter.
“Let’s be good alright?” He requests, sounding jovially lighthearted. The gold link watch lands on top of the large oak armoire as a reminder, shifting the silence once again.
“Will I see you?” Did you want to?
“I’ll be around.” He’s nonplussed and you wanted to swing at him. “Goodnight, mi Luna.”
***
You lost count of sheep and wound down a flight of stairs that led you through a dark abyss. The house help was sound asleep while your disquietude kept you awake.
Every step there was a door and past that door there was light shining in from a sheer lined window. In the midst of your nightly conquest you were rocking back a bottle of imported red wine, embittered by the dry, full bodied taste of it all. Lloyd had an exquisite selection of wines to choose from. Mostly unopened and sitting pretty in an above ground cellar. He was a connoisseur and you took advantage, considering the fact that you didn’t drink at the wedding. So why not now!
“Fucking shit.” You gargle after taking another forceful swig. The pint swished in your grasp, echoing through the corridor. Time was ticking to a steady pulse. Slow torture became exodus as you could hear pained, muffled cries coming from one of the many closed doors.
“Please.” They agonize in a symphony you’re too familiar with. “Please.”
Your feet trail up. There’s one door where light pools from under. The pleas become gradual, calling out to you like a siren.
“I promise it won't happen again. Please Lloyd.” The man’s voice cracks. There are many moments in your life that parallel this instance. Your father being the true culprit and successor to the cause. Pain, infliction and chaos. “I didn’t mean for it to happen… those men.. they…”
Your eyes fall shut, brows drawn together. You stand right in front of the door that could shatter upon impact, awaiting your turn with fear and uncertainty.
Something abysmal spins you out. The gallant murmurs are a muck. The soured wine churns in your stomach when there’s a pitfall of silence. You’re so far too self absorbed to notice the door creak open. Someone clears their throat. You flutter your eyes open to see a looming Sicilian man, armored in Dior and Kevlar.
He’s cast with a grave look, squaring you off in militant form. You’re bewildered, paled by the laser-like focus Lloyd has on you from behind the giant. You don’t look at him. How could you?
“Mi Luna.” He husks in a tone so deathly low. Don’t answer, Y/N.
The man who’s kneecapped, huffing and puffing, looks over his shoulder. Your eyes meet and it’s telepathic. He’s grateful, relieved by your unexpected appearance. You scowl through the full effects of costly red wine and audacity, trying to sound somewhat unaffected. You weren’t there for anyone.
“Is there a bathroom around here?” You calmly inquire as if you weren’t caught eavesdropping on an execution. Lloyd’s countenance tightens, anger was a fleeting understatement. But his oversight changes as the fireplace crackles and casts a warm glow, whipping the tense silence into a heated ordeal.
“Two doors down, to your right.” He finally presses. His men soundlessly idled around, not a step out of place. They don’t look at you the way Lloyd does with his smoldering gaze.
You slowly back away, inscribed with disappointment. The heaving man bows his head in defeat, knowing his fate was dealt with. “Andre.”
And in that moment the door was shut on your face. Unanimous to your reservations.
A million thoughts to one.
Your walk back is short when you hear gunshots go off for the first time after a long time. It’s shattering. It’s abrupt. Enough for you to instinctively scamper up a random flight of stairs and fall into a room that’s not yours. Dark walls, light wood furniture, the familiar scent of bergamot infused aftershave. You knew you were entrapped in his room when the harnessing safety lock clicks.
“Fuck.” You jiggle the knob again, not knowing the adjustment and push method. “Fuuuuuck.”
“We’ll take care of the rest, boss.“ Sebastian calmly assures Lloyd who tempers his breathing and studies the lifeless man before him. The last few minutes were a crucial struggle. He had to make sure.
“He’s getting there anyways.” Seb was right. There’s a small halo of blood forming around the head and that was enough to sinister some realization as Lloyd turns to his longtime associate in crime.
“Do it before I get back and make sure my rug stays intact. Got it?” Lloyd was delirious. He ran out of the study before he could acknowledge a ‘yes sir.’
Some part of his possessive, ruddering conscience wanted to make sure you were OK. As fear takes a paralleling whirlwind, you could hear his Italian sharp toed shoes tap up the stairway. It’s no shock that he barges into your room first and doesn’t find you there.
“Y/N!” He hollers down the corridor before pushing open his room door, the final unchecked space. He pauses in mid-action, seeing your hardened resolve at standoff. “I—“ Relief is scornful and there’s no othering after fact.
“Was I supposed to see that?” You point with the half empty bottle in hand, completely glassy eyed. His jaw ticks.
“No.” He answers. “And you won’t have to if you—“
“Oh fuck you. Fuck you!” You scream, letting all the veins in your neck come out for show. Lloyd shuffles on his feet, inhaling a sharp intake of breath while lightly shutting the door behind him. He’s had moments like this rehearsed so talking you down from it wasn’t unexpected. More so gut wrenching.
“Who do you think I am?” He calmly asks in a way that is compliant yet arbitrary.
“Someone better than this, I’d hope.” Why do you care?
“Yeah right. My hands have been covered in blood since the day I was born.” He scoffs, circling the room like a prowling vulture. You open your mouth to interject. He’s quick witted and drawl, stopping dead in his tracks. “Don’t ask me to change if you’re your fathers daughter. Ya hear?”
“That’s where you and I are different. I don’t kill for a living.” You say on your high horse.
“That’s right. You’re just an elementary school teacher with her panties in a twist.” He sardonically responds.
“How’d you—“ your brows furrow.
“I used to work for your father, remember?” He adds, scratching his temple that slightly throbs. “… Always had my eyes on you.” Lloyd mumbles to himself, well under his breath.
“What happened?”
“Everything unimaginable.” You look at him dubiously. He sighs, deflated and not willing enough to further speculate. “Are you OK?”
“Could be better.” You grumble.
“How’s the wine?” He inquires, dropping his gaze to the tip of your fingers that barely cling onto the bottle.
“Good. Could do with another.” You shrug upon inspection.
He chuckles, cocking his head to the side. “Let’s go then.”
You try not to flinch but something so magnanimous kept you drawn in, nodding at his ingenious requital.
“I know just the one that’ll put you to sleep.” He absently adds while rolling up his sleeves.
***
Nebbiolo.
That was the wine pairing that had you half lidded and slovenly dead weight.
The kitchen countertop, made of finite marble, felt cool against your warm, flushed skin. You took purchase and laid your head down sideways while Lloyd kept pouring a steady hand of whisky for himself.
“I’m not drunk.” You hum, watchful of him.
“Good.” He takes his first sip which then turns into a hasty gulp. Another guzzling pour and that’s when you wince. “Wouldn’t want you to be.”
There’s a jab.
“Would you, um, ever hurt me?” You inquire, eyes screwed shut, unbearing the thought.
“No.” His answer is simple but interchangeable. “Although I’m sorry you had to see that.”
“I’ve seen worse.” You scoff.
Lloyd is remorseful, knowing that his scars were once wounds too. He’s watched your father. Learned the best of the worst from him. Which in turn is why he can’t shake off the ‘death tilt’ — a stunt your father would pull after every kill. It was the same reason why Lloyd couldn’t look at you the same way for the past hour or so. Flashes of his past pained him to inflict the same irreverence. You didn’t deserve to feel the same motions of sadness or guilt like he did. But your tumultuous resignation tells him otherwise.
“I was practically raised in a slaughterhouse, so you never get used to it.”
“Emotional numbness.” He clicks his tongue and refills his glass up again. You frown. “Gotcha.”
“You should take it easy on the Tennessee.”
“I’ll worry about that.” Lloyd hisses, downing another heavy handed peg.
“Fine, don’t listen to your fiancée then.” You huff while propping yourself off the barstool. The room spins when you make the landing, a steady hand grips onto the counter as a safety precaution.
“What’re you doing?”
“Going to bed. Duh?” You shake your head that worsens your state of vertigo.
“Great. Lemme take you up.” He challenges.
“I’m perfectly capable. Thanks.” You watch him guzzle an entire pint in one go, lacerated by his inhumane ability to do so. He finally swings the bottle away from his mouth and hisses. There’s a bit left that he doesn’t bother finishing off.
“That’s not how I see it.” He sniffs, consciously condescending.
“So what? You’re going to constantly be at my neck now?” You muse with disbelief.
“Pretty much.”
“This arrangement,” you pause and shift your focus, keen on knowing. “What’s in it for you… the most eligible bachelor in the tri state area?”
Lloyd makes a face and scoffs to himself. There’s something unheard of.
“You, uh, remember the night of your 21st birthday?” He drags a hand over his face, the bags under his eyes are pulled down when you don’t.
“Vaguely.” You remembered a good time. That’s about it.
“You got shitfaced at a gentlemen's club your father owned and prohibited you from. I had to haul your ass into a yellow cab.” He recites the scandal.
There was heavy intel and a night hunt to get you home. At the time, your father had trusted Lloyd to be on your case, unwittingly being your shadow and protector. He was one of your fathers wordless men who took orders and then fell out. And yet somehow life came in full circle.
“But with you, it never stopped there.”
Ah yes the Paloma incident, Bar 61 and not to mention the Aspen escapade. All major life events that Lloyd has seen and endeavored. It’s no wonder that you were, in fact, your fathers biggest pain in the ass. But Lloyd being this available meant that he knew more about you than you had led on and that, in itself, was unnerving.
“God, how old are you?” You howl, eyes wider than dinner plates. It’s common knowledge that Lloyd’s only a few years older than you. Although he wasn’t about to pull out his I.D for proof.
“Old enough.” He rolls his eyes, tongue in cheek.
“Well I’m sorry I put you through all that.” You stupify, unconvinced. “And thank you for your service but you didn’t answer—“
“Reparations.” He gestures to you and him. A rough sigh escapes your lips. “We’re playing a game here, tit for tat. Might as well have fun with it.”
“Look, we don’t have to do this.” You reiterate, pausing at the foot of the stairwell. Moonlight cascades from the sky roof. Lloyd grins, methodical in understanding your psyche.
“Always doubling down. Nice.” He leans against the railing for support, stifling a burp that comes up.
“I’m just giving you an out.” You parry at half his height.
“Yeah because you’re afraid.”
“And I have every right to be!”
“Well, whatever it is that we’re trying to achieve here, takes a lot of trust and understanding.” He explains. You could hear the reasoning, sound and clear.
“I guess so.”
“Either way, you’re going to have to let me in, mi Luna.” He bows forward, quizzically in tune.
“You need to stop calling me that.” You despised pet names and this one came from the jump.
“Not a chance.” He chuckles in all honesty and it’s a first. “It suits you.”
You lull your head to the side. “Now you’re doing the most.”
“Whatever it takes, right?” He stands upright, obnoxiously grunting in stance.
There wasn’t much to say until he finally looked you dead in the eyes. You’re obliterated by his wildly inquisitive gaze that holds you captive. You felt an unspeakable magnetism that shields you from reality. He takes a small, swaying step forward, off balance and self assured. You tuck your chin in as a way to show some restraint. It’s surmountable that Lloyd’s grown fond of you, becoming soft under the guise of alcohol. If you’d known better you would’ve spiked all his drinks just to hear him hem and haw. But then your sight falters and there’s a permeable scowl on the seam of your lips. He takes notice of this as well.
“What?” He quirks, truly insulted.
“You’re bleeding.” You point to the split brow, jaded with some discern.
“I am?” He touches the wound and looks down at his red tinged fingers. “Damn, didn’t feel a thing.”
“Yeah whiskey does that.” You sigh, “Here let me—“
“S’kay, I’ll take care of it.” He refuses your measly help. “…Now as much as I appreciate your uncalled for concern, my business is my problem.” He flips the script on you and that’s expected.
“Okay.” You agree for the sake of agreeing.
“And one rule opposed to your many rules is that I hurt who I want to hurt. Do I make myself clear?” He convicts on his own obstructed moral ground and for that, you don’t question the puppet master.
“Fine by me, really.” You shrug. “I can hold my own.”
“Disputable.” You’re appalled. Lloyd finds it cute. “Just go to bed. I’ll see you in the morning.”
“Yes sir.” You mockingly two-finger salute him. He laughs while trudging up the staircase. Now it’s your turn to be confused. “What?”
“How does it feel to finally submit?” He jokes from the top step, casting a smug grin in your direction.
“Oh fuck off.”

While at school Damian overhears his peers talking how a company created a new AI companion that is actually really cool and doesn’t sound like a freaky terminator robot when you speak to it.
And since Damian is constantly being told by Dick to socialize with people his age. He figured this would be a good way to work on social skills if not, then it’d be a great opportunity to investigate a rivaling company to Wayne Enterprises is able to create such advanced AI.
The AI is able to work as companion that can do tasks that range from being a digital assistant or just a person that you can have a conversation with.
The company says that the AI companion might still have glitches, so they encourage everybody to report it so that they will fix it as soon as possible.
The AI companion even has an avatar and a name.
A teenage boy with black hair and blue eyes. Th AI was called DANIEL
Damian didn’t really care for it but when he downloaded the AI companion he’s able to see that it looks like DANIEL comes with an AI pet as well. A dog that DANIEL referred to as Cujo.
So obviously Damian has to investigate. He needs to know if the company was able to create an actual digital pet!
So whenever he logs onto his laptop he sees that DANIEL is always present in the background loading screen with the dog, Cujo, sitting in his lap.
He’d always greet with the phrase of “Hi, I’m DANIEL. How can I assist you today?”
So Damian cycles through some basic conversation starters that he’d engage in when having been forced to by his family.
It’s after a couple of sentences that he sees DANIEL start laughing and say “I think you sound more like a robot than I do.”
Which makes Damian raise an eyebrow and then prompt DANIEL with the question “how is a person supposed to converse?” Thinking that it’s going to just spit out some random things that can be easily searched on the internet.
But what makes him surprised is that DANIEL makes a face and then says “I’m not really sure myself. I’m not the greatest at talking, I’ve always gotten in trouble for running my mouth when I shouldn’t have.”
This is raising some questions within Damian, he understands how programming works, unless there’s an actual person behind this or the company actually created an AI that acts like an actual human being (which he highly doubts)
He starts asking a variety of other questions and one answer makes him even more suspicious. Like how DANIEL has a sister that is also with him and Cujo or that he could really go for a Nastyburger (whatever that was)
But whenever DANIEL answers “I C A N N O T A N S W E R T H A T” Damian knows something is off since that is completely different than to how he’d usually respond.
After a couple more conversations with him Damian notices that DANIEL is currently tapping his hand against his arm in a specific manner.
In which he quickly realizes that DANIEL is tapping out morse code.
When translating he realizes that DANIEL is tapping out: H E L P M E
So when Damian asks if DANIEL needs help, DANIEL responds with “I C A N N O T A N S W E R T H A T”
That’s it, Damian is definitely getting down to the bottom of this.
He’s going to look straight into DALV Corporation and investigate this “AI companion” thing they’ve made!
~
Basically Danny had been imprisoned by Vlad and Technus. Being sucked into a digital prison and he has no way of getting out. Along with the added horror that Vlad and Technus can basically write programming that will prevent him from doing certain actions or saying certain words. What’s even worse is that he’s basically being watched 24/7 by the people who believe that he’s just a super cool AI… and they have issues!
And every time he tries to do something to break his prison, people think it’s a glitch and report it to the company, which Vlad/ Technus would immediately fix it and prevent him from doing it again!
Not to mention Cujo and Ellie are trapped in there with him. They’re not happy to be there either, and there is no way he’s going to leave without them!

Back on my half-baked “Danny Phantom adopts Jason Todd” nonsense [Original post  x] with more detail:
Danny raising baby ghost Jason for however long Jason’s been dead. Jason basically yoinks out of Ghost Zone existence and Danny thinks he moved on or whatever have yous.
Danny’s reluctantly accepting of the fact, but he really liked the kid [or whatever the remnants of him were], so there’s a lot of sad times :( :( :(
Until Jay is being dunked in the pool in what we DCxDP fans collectively agree is corrupted/dead/impure ectoplasm.
All powerful being of the Infinite Realms that Danny is, immediately notices the return of his little ghostly fledgling and snatches him.
And just....never gives him back.
Talia and whatever other league members that were there just waiting for Jason to resurface and then just kinda stand there dumbfounded when it becomes clear to them that it ain’t happening
“......Welp, time for plan G-2.0″
Danny realizes he got a very amnesiatic, pissy LP corrupted baby back and decides it's time for some extensive therapy....and a purifying bath, cause his little Jay smells like rot.
Jason obviously ain't gung-ho about paternal figures and is very gung-ho about his revenge plans, but he obviously has no idea how to get out of the GZ so he’s kinda a lowkey prisoner for a while there.
The baths are nice.
The purifying is a long multi-session type thing, so Danny takes that time to just hammer it into Jason’s head “Hey, your plans for the morally corrupt are all fine and dandy, but maybe don’t go around hurting innocent people just cause you got a massive chip on your shoulder”
Danny basically makes it clear that Jason is still technically under his jurisdiction and he will kick his ass if he strays from the path of righteousness.
A robin is saved that day
See Bats? Danny ain’t a complete enabler
It takes months before Danny thinks Jason is clearheaded enough to go out into the world and start leaving his bloody prints. If he assigns some shadows to keep an eye on Jay in a fit of over-protectiveness, well then that’s his business
If he winds up staying around ClockWork’s tower to watch Jason kick ass and take heads like a proud parent watching his kid’s soccer game, well that’s his business too.
Shut up, ClockWork
Cue aforementioned scandal with the Joker. [After what I decided was a terrifying session of Joker getting tortured by the souls of his more angrier victims “That’s just a taste of what’s waiting for you on the other side >:)”]
Pure ectoplasm has a weird calming affect on the LP infected, so while reminding Jason that he has a purifying session next month, Danny gives him Cujo as a substitute in the mean time.
“He’ll be there to protect you, keep you company, keep you clearheaded. He obviously doesn’t need to be fed or taken out to do his business - you know the deal. Also just so you know, if these bats give you any trouble, Cujo will get you out of that mess.”
Danny says this, all while giving Batman that too wide, sharp-toothed grin
He spends a few minutes saying goodbye to Jason like he’s sending him off to school or smth.
Jason is lowkey embarrassed and maybe viciously gleeful at how awkward it’s making Batman.
Danny bids farewell like this was just another day of world saving, and not him basically telling Bruce he’s ain’t giving Jason back so easily before leaving in the same bone-chilling display as when he came in [ala Eldritch horror lookin, souls of the damned swarming him like a gruesome looking cloak, light fixtures flickering ala horror movie, with deranged whispers of what might have been him saying See you again soon]
Robin may have gotten the promise that Jason wouldn't go after his ass, but he sure knows he ain’t sleeping tonight.
The others still feel the chills.
Jason remains unbothered “That’s just him being dramatic, he wanted to scare the shit out of you.”
And just leaves with his new dog.
They don’t get to follow.
Cujo doesn’t let them.
So Jason proceeds to go about his business becoming a crime lord with his loyal and protective two-faced hound from hell in tow.
The criminals are qaukin’ in their boots.
Batman is unbothered cause he’s still distracted by the fact of being in a custody battle with the fucking Ghost King
He is very much considering using his contingency plans for Phantom.
Superman won't let him.

Danielle: Model Human
“So what if Dani met Cas and decided to teach him how to be human?”
So here’s this! 1,421 words, oneshot. Hope you enjoy!
Castiel took his place in line behind a small girl who was standing on her tip-toes to reach the counter. She was engaged in a heated argument with the ticket broker, though the anger was pretty one-sided. The man running the counter looked more tired than anything as he reminded her in a monotone voice,
“I’m sorry, miss, I can’t sell you a ticket without a parent’s permission. Company policy.”
The girl huffed and turned around, starting when she looked at Castiel. She tilted her head back to look him in the face and her pissed expression went to a mischievous grin. She winked at him.
“Dad! There you are, can you tell this chump I’m allowed to ride the bus alone?” She winked again.
Castiel tilted his head to the side, squinting. He’d never seen this girl before. Had Jimmy had other children he didn’t know about?
“I’m no-”
The girl kicked him in the shin and gave him what Sam would refer to as ‘puppy-dog eyes’. Ah, she was asking him to lie for her. That he could do.
“I am here to accompany my daughter on the bus.” A flicker of nervousness jolted through his body. He tried to disguise it with a friendly smile.
The ticket seller looked to him, then down at the girl, then back to him, sighed, and held out his hand. “That’ll be $40.65.”
Castiel patted his pockets. They were just as empty as they were 5 minutes ago. The girl shoved a handful of bills onto the counter before he could say anything, snapped up the two tickets that were given, then grabbed onto his hand and pulled him towards the benches in front of the loading station. She was strong for her size, not enough that he couldn’t stop her if needed but enough that it might actually be somewhat of a challenge. When she sat she drew one of her knees to her chest, letting the other one swing down. Castiel took the seat next to her.
“Thanks for vouching for me back there,” She said. Her cheek was resting on her knee as she spoke. “What’s your name?”
“My name is C-” He paused. His name was unique, which was never good when trying to blend in. Plus, Sam and Dean usually used aliases when talking to strangers. It couldn’t hurt. He cleared his throat. “My name is…”
He scanned the room for any ideas. On the muted television a man boasted his real estate company. The caption identified him as Daniel Patterson.
“Daniel.” he finished. “I’m Daniel.”
“Hey, no way! I’m Dani. With an ‘i’.” she thought for a moment, “Actually, do you know a guy called Vlad?”
“No,” he answered. Neither of them spoke for a few moments. He remembered that humans tend to engage in small talk. “Do you?”
“Yeah, he’s my dad, and a real jerk too. I was worried ‘cuz you kinda look like this other Danny I know except old and way taller,” Dani informed him.
“I understand,” Castiel said. He did not understand.
“Danny’s my cousin,” she continued, “Why don’t you have a bag?”
Castiel looked down then back at her. “I lost it.”
“I lost my bag one time too, ‘cuz Cujo- he’s kinda Danny’s dog- ran off with it ‘cuz I left a sandwich in there. I got it back though,” She twisted in her seat to show off her backpack. A logo of a cracked egg with purple text written across it decorated the small zipper pocket of her bag.
“Dumpty Humpty?” Castiel read. The name was familiar, but not in a way he could place. Perhaps a football team?
Dani’s eyes sparkled when she turned around to look at him again, an even broader smile climbing onto her face. “I can’t believe you know them, you’re so old!”
His lack of reaction must’ve been a reaction, as Dani paused after saying that. “Uh, no offense or anything.”
“I don’t follow sports, sorry.” For all his time with the Winchesters, there was still much of humanity that he did not understand. Sports of all kinds fell in that category.
She giggled. “Dude, they’re a band. I don’t think I like sports. I mean, I’ve never played or anything, but…”
“Neither have I.” He pulled his lips tight with a smile. Facial expressions were still confusing, but he felt he was getting the hang of it. “Though I have listened to music before. I like Led Zeppelin.”
“Never heard of ‘em. Hey, what’s your birthday?”
He jolted at the sudden change of topic. She blinked at him, innocent as a lamb. He blinked back. In the back of his mind, he scrambled to come up with a date, any date. Jimmy must’ve had a birthday, right? He cursed his human mind for its shortcomings. “Thursday.”
Dani responded with a raised eyebrow, her short ponytail brushed her shoulder when she tilted her head in question.
“What are you?”
Castiel blinked. Dani blinked back.
“Human.” It was the truth, not all of it perhaps, but he was human.
“And?” She prompted, gesturing at him to keep talking. How this girl had detected his lie of omission he didn’t know. There was never a time he wished he could at least see souls, or demon's true faces, or have any intuition to somethings nature or intentions or, hell, even the ability to read a damn social cue more.
“And what? I’m human.”
“It’s okay, man, I know. I think everyone knows, ‘cuz you’re being real clumsy right now, I understand it's hard to get the hang of but seriously, whoever made you is probably looking for you ‘cuz there is no way you passed training like that.” She spoke with complete confidence, still swinging her leg back and forth. She was so small the toe of her shoe barely brushed the ground. “I’m gonna offer you a deal. If you pretend to be in charge of me, like you did at the counter there, I’ll teach you how to blend in. I escaped from my dad three months ago and he hasn’t found me and he’s got spies everywhere. You can’t be more than a week out of the tube.”
There had to be something he was missing. That or he was having a stroke. Individually, the words she spoke made sense. Together, though? The only logical explanation he could construct was that someone, for some reason was messing with him. “Who do you work for?”
“See, that’s the best part! I don’t have to work for anybody but myself. That’s what freedom’s all about, doin’ whatever you want whenever you want. I know it seems weird at first but, trust me, it’s great.”
“What are you?”
Dani shrugged, “I’m a clone.”
“And you think I’m a clone?” Against all logic, his gut wanted to trust her. Outside the bus pulled over, spilling people out into the station. He watched out of the corner of his eye as the workers began refueling the vehicle.
“Or something close. Take it from someone who spent most of their seven-month existence in a lab, growing out of a test tube makes you act weird.” Her smile was perfect and white, although a gap-toothed grin would’ve suited her much better. “It’s up to you, I can take care of myself, but I guess I’m a little more like my original than I thought. Free human tip for you, the back of the bus is the best place to ride. I’m gonna go get a spot before all the good ones get taken. Want me to save you a seat?”
He stared at her for a moment, looking up because she was just a smidge taller than him when he was sitting down. He tried to study the look on her face, but that just led where it always did, to nothing. Was he really that obvious? Could everyone tell he was just pretending to be human? Dani’s foot began to tap, Castiel recognized this as the sign of impatience it was. She was right. As far as normal went, he was lost. He didn’t know how much a bus ticket was or how to make small talk or to carry a bag. Without the Winchesters, he was lost. It would be nice to have some of that confidence back in his life. It would be nice to be needed again, even if it were just to vouch for Dani at ticket counters.
“That would be nice.”

(Same anon) Also Also Also I find it so disgusting how this particular user constantly weaponises Mycah against Sansa and yet they gush about the Hound and Arya even though the Hound killed Arya's friend and took pleasure in it! Like Idk maybe worry less about Sansa's remorse and more about the fact that Arya spent a very long time in the company of the person who killed Mycah without any lol
I didn’t bother looking through their reddit comments, because I like to keep my mind clear, but if what you say is true, then I will take your word for it, dear anon. Frankly I am not surprised that they think that. The fandom in general loves to give Cujo far more leeway than he truly deserves. A significant amount of people genuinely believe that he wasn’t telling the truth when he told Arya he wanted to rape Sansa, even though his key characteristic is his honesty and he often says he hates liars. Also he’s a minor character so we have to take his word at face value.
Meanwhile the same people ascribe malice onto Sansa all the time, even though one they are clouded by Arya’s negative perception of her, and two Sansa often doesn’t full out spell out her grievances so in many instances you have to read between the lines when you read her chapters. There’s a certain level of ambiguity surrounding her, which is to be expected of a major POV character. However does the fandom take all of this into account? Of course not. The way Sansa is treated so differently compared to Cujo as made me dislike him so much.
