The Disabled Tyrant’s Pet Palm Fish by Xue Shan Fei Hu -- a brief review (VAGUE spoilers under the cut)
Novel length: 156 chapters
My Rating: ♥♥♥♥½ / 5
This novel is a fun silly romp with plenty of face-slapping and courtroom drama. Overall, this is a fun one and while I enjoyed it very much it is perhaps not one for everyone. Our main character is pretty OP and seemingly able to overcome any and all trials with his powers of being a CUTE MAGIC FISH.
Content warnings and some VAGUE SPOILERS in regard to the disability and representation under the cut.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What kind of story is The Disabled Tyrant's Pet Palm Fish?
DTPPF is a transmigration story. So anticipate all sorts of transmigration shenanigans and tropes. It's also a story that is clearly meant for fun and not to be taken seriously. But that doesn't mean that it doesn't have heart -- there were a few times I teared up and cried as I got hit right in the feels. This is also a story with mpreg -- something that I hadn't anticipated just from the title and synopsis.
(If you are worried about the mpreg just know that it is vaguely referenced and kinda handwaved in a 'it just works' way. The novel does not go into the how or physiology. It just happens.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What about the disability? The tyrant is mute -- and there are some genuine moments of how he struggles with it. There's even a couple moments when he sort of uses his muteness to his advantage. It is an integral part of his character as it has changed how others treat and perceive him. It also affects his life in the imperial palace and his right of inheritance as one of the emperor's sons. It does not feel like an afterthought. That being said please check below the cut to see some more of my thoughts on this matter.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Overall while this story does have a good amount of courtroom intrigue, drama, and backstabbing I'm still left feeling that it's a fairly lighthearted and fluffy story. I think this is mostly due to how seemingly easily and consistently our main character and his love interest are able to solve the problems they run into. It was also terribly endearing as the reader to see the tyrant falling desperately in love and just wanting to tell the main character that he is loved and that he accepts him no matter what kind of creature he is.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who are the main characters?
Without going into details here's a little bit about our main squad:
Li Yu aka Xiao Yu - the main character of our tale, he is a modern young man transmigrated into a webnovel he had been reading... but as the protagonist's fish! He is tasked with helping the tyrant but how can he help when he is but a small fish? He gets creative and gains some special abilities that allow him to help cause chaos and help the tyrant before eventually he is able to regain his human form for a certain amount of time. (He is referred to as "Xiao Yu" at first by the tyrant as he is a "small fish" (xiao = small, yu = fish.))
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mu Tianchi aka Jing Wang - the protagonist of the novel Li Yu had been reading. His name is Mu Tianchi but is often referred to by his title "Jing Wang" especially at the beginning of the novel. He is said to have been born mute and as such he is not considered as a viable heir to the throne. This does keep him out of some courtroom drama but certainly not all of it. As the other brothers are fighting, scheming, and taking each other out Mu Tianchi does continue to prove to be very capable and difficult to manipulate. He also goes above and beyond when it comes to spoiling both "Xiao Yu" (the fish) and Li Yu (his human form).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wang Xi - protagonist's eunuch / advisor / assistant / caretaker. He's incredible and deserves so many props. He would do anything to help Mu Tianchi and Li Yu. I don't have much to say about him other than I don't know what Mu Tianchi and Li Yu would have done if Wang Xi had turned against them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chu Yanyu - the original love interest of the tyrant in the novel. I won't spoil things but I will say I wanted to yeet this character every time he showed up. Just when you think you've seen the last of him he. keeps. showing. up.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is the plot of The Disabled Tyrant's Pet Palm Fish?
The plot of The Disabled Tyrant's Pet Palm Fish follows Li Yu's journey on regaining his human form, helping prevent certain events he knows about from the novel, uncovering the conspiracies and mysteries from Mu Tianchi's past, and securing Mu Tianchi's place as crown prince. Meanwhile Mu Tianchi and Li Yu fall in love with each other of course.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Small critiques
I've only read this title once (so far) but unlike Silent Reading and Heaven Official's Blessing, I feel like DTPPF doesn't really have clear arcs in terms of where one book would end and the next would start -- I will be curious to see how Seven Seas splits this one up into volumes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are some characters that never get names. This is not the only webnovel I've read where this happens but every time it happens I'm a little disappointed. Like, on one hand it can be hard to keep track of a ton of characters and their names but... it also is just so weird to me whenever a character continues to show up but is only referred to as "the scarred man" or in the case of this novel "the princess of JinJue." She's a pretty great character but she never got a name!
I do hope that when Seven Seas releases their translation that they will include a character list like they have in other books to help keep track of everyone. Because when the emperor's sons are mentioned sometimes it's by their birth order or title and sometimes it's by name. And of course they all have similar names (they even share a generation name -- Mu TianZhao, Mu TianMing, Mu TianChi, Mu TianXiao, etc).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Disability representation in the novel
Without going into the HOW and WHY I feel it is important to mention that Mu Tianchi's disability is CURED pretty late in the novel. While I did find the outcome touching (when the main character hears the tyrant's first words and how the tyrant feels upon finally being able to speak) I think that this could be a touchy subject. I think that the novel could have not had the tyrant be cured and I would have enjoyed it just as much. And I imagine that if you're a person with a disability and or chronic illness that is reading a story where a main character struggles with his own -- only to end up magically and conveniently cured of his disability -- that it could be frustrating.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is also discrimination against Mu Tianchi for his disability -- he isn't considered a viable heir for the throne because he is mute, even if he is the best choice. Also since he has this disability the other characters (and the tyrant himself) worry that his children would also be disabled.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
content warnings: there's several times when jokes are made about bestiality (and a couple characters assume that Mu Tianchi's feelings towards his fish are not strictly platonic).
There is also various attempts of harm towards young children that might inherit the throne including poison, kidnapping, and threat of physical harm. Similarly, there are attempts at drugging (with aphrodisiacs, getting someone overly drunk, etc) and dubious consent situations -- (however this does not occur between our main couple). This is done in hopes of earning someone's favor, forcing them to take responsibility, and or moving up in rank and society.
There is also a character that was taken as a concubine (against her will) after her kingdom was defeated in war. All of this seems fairly standard to courtroom drama stories but I figured it would be good to mention. If you've also read this novel and think I've left some cw out let me know and I'll add them to this list.
Another user pointed out that the character of the JinJue princess is 16-- so there's some setting compliant marriages / relationships with folks who are under 18 years old. I would be surprised if she was the only character this applied to but I can't remember others right at this moment.

Mammals of the March of Maedhros
Fish, Birds, Flowers
Flora, fauna, geography and environment Masterlist
Other world building in the Himring tag!
The March of Maedhros was a cold realm in Northeastern Beleriand. It was located slightly Southeast of Dorthonion and south of the planes and meadowlands of Lothlann and Ard Galen. The March was a cold region with taiga forested hills and icy waters, including the sources of several rivers, namely Celon and Little Gelion which were located in the other Hills around Himring.
The March falls between the cold mountains on the Southern and Eastern borders of Dorthonion and the mountainous regions of the Gap and Thargelion on its own Eastern border.
Like my other posts of this kind I will include more world building notes at the end (relationship between people/elves and the fauna, symbology or significance of certain species in local cultures, etc), otherwise this would just be a long list of species. Please always feel free to ask more about this, it’s one of my favorite topics
Taiga and tundra: musk deer: reindeer, red squirrel, tundra wolf, altai mole, brown bear, snow vole, taiga shrew
Other forest: forest dormouse, northern birch mouse, pine marten, sable, common shrew, northern pika, moose, lynx
Hills and alpine meadow: grey marmot, forest steppe marmot, long tailed ground squirrel, wild horse, beech marten, northern badger
Northern reaches: snow leopard, wild yak, snow sheep
Throughout: red fox, brown hare, Eastern roe deer, field mouse
World building notes:
-As it’s probably obvious by the art in my background, the idea of snow leopards in the March is very important to me! Some of the most skilled among Maedhros’s captains hunted and scouted along side them and their image came to represent the ruthless, efficient and precise nature of his fighters in art and heraldry
-I also believe that they were wild otters in the rivers specifically northern Celon, the colder one, rather unique to the region. These were far larger than common otters and well adapted to the cold.
-Horses were brought in large numbers, including the descendants of Valinor horses. In the March they are bred for endurance, and ability to withstand the cold and train to respond to almost entirely non-verbal commands, especially by some sections of the scouts who ride them
-I always imagine a location or locations similar to Lake Baikal in Siberia, which is home the world’s only completely freshwater seal as well as cnidarian species that are not found anywhere else in the world. The seals in thr near frozen lake are abundant but are rarely slain. They are near inedible though their fat is highly useful for oils and their skins are occasionally used as well. The lake is located north of Himring and was originally the result of geologic activity in the Ered Engrin.
-Reindeer are kept by some of the Noldor and their allies in the more remote regions of the march. Their fur, skin, meat, and milk are all used.
-Pine martens and sables are dear to the Avarin groups of northeast Beleriand, some members even taking them as companions or scouts. They represent will and joy in stories and art
-I like to imagine smaller species of mammoths or woolly rhinos trek through the March on their search for fresh grass and vegetation.
As always please feel free to ask more, I really love world building and I always feel these posts are incomplete

Ice and Fire
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/53003444/
FA link^
Description copied from FA: Hector, Master of Ice magic and researcher of the forbidden forces of pure magic, is killing time and considering moving on to another town when she’s suddenly approached by a mysterious and dominant fox woman, who has a simple proposition for Hector: Use her illegal magic to make her as fat as she possibly can.
Back at it again with another upload. If you like stories about fat foxes getting unreasonably huge, this one is probably for you! Well, specifically lady fat foxes, and if it’s done in a very lesbian way that focuses a lot on the magic. If that sounds good to you, I encourage you to check this one out.
I was pretty anxious about this one after writing it, not a lot of people I showed it to seemed to get it, but after rereading it from a fourth perspective, I still stand by it as a fantastic work. Comments on this one would be PARTICULARLY appreciated, I always love receiving feedback regardless, but this one, if it’s to your taste I’d love to know.
If you enjoyed it and want to support me in continuing this endeavor, a tip to https://ko-fi.com/ancocalcen would be super fucking nice :3 And if you’re interested in commissioning me, send me an ask
Also this is part of a potential ongoing series of Hector interacting with all the elements, the first entry of which was Ice and Wind https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52475444/
Full story for those who don’t like FA under the cut
Ice and Fire By AnCo Calcen (Hector, Galactic, Soleil)
Hector was laid out on their back, hard at work conjuring their own entertainment. Her paws gently swished and sailed through the air, recreated on a far grander and majestic scale above her. Streams of frigid winds carrying powdery snow danced through the air above her, sparks of fire and electricity occasionally lighting up the display. If she’d been bothering to do it outside, or for a crowd, it would have undoubtedly drawn attention, but her recent hangout spot was proving to be far too dead for her liking.
Overlooking a quiet town was a grand mountain, and off the beaten path to said mountain, around the side and down a dubious footpath, was a tunnel. It had been a mine before the revolution, but its riches had long since been plundered even before the last monarch fell. At its entrance, repurposed from old working quarters, a night club had been established in recent years. The tunnel’s sequestered nature, obscured from the town proper, made it a natural fit for more intense and illegal activities, lookouts along the path providing protection from any investigators who might want to drop in and catch someone in their nefarious dealings. Hard drugs, illegal magic, body modification, and even just people looking for a loose atmosphere gathered in this place… or at least they had.
When Hector first ambled into town, the place had been quite popular. She’d found no shortage of individuals willing to swap notes with her, and somewhat more importantly, people willing to indulge her particular tastes. These days however, the place had grown increasingly quiet, a shifting political landscape that saw more and more of the prohibited activities that people congregated here to indulge in were gradually becoming legalized and moderated officially. A good portion of the Snake Tunnel’s clientele had stuck with them for a while, but many of them had come for the more minor taboos, and when offered a way to get them without rubbing elbows with the truly dangerous, they quickly retreated into the light to do so.
That was all well and good for them, but Hector wasn’t offered such a luxury. First and foremost, she was an outlaw with a bounty on her head, so she tried to avoid showing her face in public when she could. If her rivals had anything to say about it, her life’s work wasn’t going to be decriminalized any time soon. She had also just come to enjoy the place’s vibes, so she continued to hang around in the declining establishment, but things were getting to be a bit too dry. There had been a point where she thought this might have actually been good for business, as more practitioners of illegal magic would stand out without the crowds, but instead it only highlighted how few of them there were, or perhaps they had found the lack of a crowd to get lost in to be too much of a risk.
Hector’s mind flitted to such thoughts as she tried to ignore the rising feeling that she had gotten everything of value from this place that she could. She could recall a time when conjuring a localized snowstorm within the halls would have caused a ruckus, but everyone who remained had seen it before, and knew that Hector was powerful enough to keep such a thing contained and pretty without inadvertently freezing the whole establishment. People had also stopped commenting on her lack of proper attire, when she was usually so pleased to speak at length about her size and how it intertwined with her ideology.
Even now she wasn’t wearing anything more than her lab coat, though it looked like little more than a blanket beneath her. She was laying back across an icy reclining chair she’d conjured up, her magic somehow ensuring that the block of ice was comfortable, soft and only pleasingly cool to the touch instead of dangerously frigid. Above her towered her boulder of a belly, quivering about softly with the motions she made. Hector had been quite large for quite some time, the nine foot tall snow leopard sporting a truly monumental belly with a profane icon of primordial ice painted onto her pristine white fur, the same icy blue as her snowflake patterned sides. Indeed, it was hard to tell whether she had somehow managed to change the color of the fur itself, forcing her body to produce the new pattern, or if it was a simple dye job. Most of her excess weight settled into her belly, though every inch of her still spoke of immensely pillowy softness. Softness that was suddenly being explored by an interloper.
Hector nearly stumbled, losing their concentration and letting the spell run wild when someone suddenly flopped down across their belly, but she continued to maintain it through the pleasurable sensation of massive paws gently kneading into her softness. Looking down, she actually couldn’t see who was pressing into her enormity, the swell of her belly serving as effective cover for the sudden arrival. It was a surprise, but definitely a pleasant one. Hector often came here hoping to enthrall someone with her striking visage, but it was rare for her to catch someone’s interest these days, doubly so for them to not be timid and to just grasp her like that. “Enjoying the show?” She purred out, focusing all her efforts into her right paw for a moment as her left waved out to the side, expanding the seat out to create enough space for this stranger to come make themselves known.
“Not really.” A somewhat bored voice called back in response, the taciturn bluntness earning Hector’s intrigue. She got her first glimpse of the visitor when a large black paw crested around the furthest edge of her expansive figure, and Hector could feel this stranger pulling themselves along her bloated body, their own softness pressing into her as their smaller but still prodigious and soft belly pressed into hers. Eventually the owner of the paw came into view, two triangular black ears peeking around the corner followed by a vulpine face that bore a slightly smug expression. Hector watched this stranger continue to sidle around their body, clearly enjoying the navigation process.
Once they came to rest on the additional seating Hector had produced, they were able to get a better look at the fox. While they weren’t as ludicrously towering as Hector was, the snow leopard figured they’d look tall when compared to most anybody else. Their body was covered with a soft coating of brilliant orange fur which was only highlighted further by the lights dancing overhead. Hector watched them move with great intrigue, pleased by the way the orange grew more fiery near their extremities, before suddenly sinking into an inky black color at the wrists. “Maybe you found something more fun to look at than my little light show. I know I have.” Hector said her last line while allowing a flirtatious purr to seep into her voice. “May I ask who’s been exploring my ice continent?”
The fox scoffed, at least a little impressed by the snow leopard’s joking tone. “Aurelia. I’m just a woman who knows how to appreciate the softer things in life. I heard there was a mage here who I might find… interesting.” She pressed her paw into Hector’s chest as she spoke, a shiver running down Hector’s spine as her somewhat modest tit was kneaded. The fox had very large paws, and Hector’s weight tended to settle more in her belly first, hips second, limbs third, and chest last, which all added up to the fox’s warm paws encompassing her chest entirely.
“Is… is that so?” Hector huffed out, still keeping her magic show going. If she wasn’t impressed by the lights, maybe she’d be impressed by her keeping it up under a little pressure. Hector continued to watch her, and she found that it didn’t take long to figure out what Aurelia had meant by the softer things. Again, her figure fell short of the pure display of excess that Hector so proudly sported, but she found it impressive all the same. Her build was decidedly bottom heavy, a fact emphasized by the fact that she seemed to only be wearing a shirt that was a bit too tight for her, one that certainly didn’t do a thing to cover her sagging apron of a gut. Aside from that, her impressive couch filling rear wobbled softly beneath her enormous fluffy tail, free from any confines. To compliment her burning orange fur, her belly was a soft, pale, peachy pink, which continued up past her simple blue shirt, bursting out into a forest of thick fuzzy fur around her neck. If Hector hadn’t been preoccupied, she figured she probably would have sunk her paw into that thick neck mane to see how much of it was actually fluff. “Aurelia… that means gold, right? I’d ask if it was my eyes that caught your attention, but you probably saw something else from across the bar first.”
Hector’s gentle golden eyes seemed to sparkle as she mentioned them, and Aurelia actually gave a small giggle. “You’re right.” She removed her paw from Hector’s chest, transitioning it to lay on the upper curve of her enormous belly. “I definitely saw this first. Don’t you think it’s kind of rude to ask for someone’s name, and then not give your own, Hector?” Her sultry gaze suddenly sported a confident smirk as she saw Hector’s ears pin back in realization. It was a minor social faux pas, but the fact that Aurelia seemed to already know about her quickly made her feel like she was falling short of expectations.
“You’re absolutely right… If I’d known you were coming to meet me, I’d have been doing something a bit more worth your time.” Hector suddenly clenched both of their paws, the snow storm standing still for a moment, before dancing briskly out of the cave’s entrance, a gentle icy wind that would carry on to who knew where. “I am indeed the Maven of Ice, Hector. Why would you seek out a mage like me?” She allowed her arms to flop down at her sides, a brief sigh of relief to have put the spell behind her. Truth be told, it was far less the strain of holding the spell so long that had her winded, and far more her muscles growing tired from having been held up so long. With Hector’s doughy bicep resting on the seat however, Aurelia took that opportunity to scoot up a bit more and rest her face against it, her softness being used as a pillow earning a slightly flustered purr from her.
“Like I said, I know how to appreciate the soft things in life. Maybe I came here just because I heard there was a really cute and fat mage who liked to display herself…” she nuzzled into her new pillow as she spoke. “Or maybe it’s because I heard this mage practices forbidden magic.” Hector’s interest was instantly hooked as Aurelia cast her bait. If there was one thing she loved in this world, it was talking about her magic. Aurelia seemed to notice she’d just loaded a hyper fixated info dump into the chamber, as she swiftly raised her massive paw and covered Hector’s muzzle with a single finger, cutting her off from speaking. “You should know that I’m not a mage myself, I barely know the first thing about working with magic, nor do I have any interest in theory or research, and I don’t want to hear your thesis on your latest discoveries.”
Hector’s ears drooped pitifully as she was cut off, and she felt a tinge of betrayal and contempt. It was rare that someone who wanted her attention didn’t at least feign interest in her ramblings, and she was about to blow Aurelia off. As much as Hector liked a good flirt, if she was just looking for someone to compliment her figure, she wouldn’t have come all the way out here. Before she could deliver Aurelia a piece of her mind, she found this fox’s finger pressing her muzzle apart with a delicate motion, her jaw lowering just a bit before two fat fingers were diving into her mouth, pressing her lips back and holding her jaws open. Despite approaching and telling them that she wasn’t even a novice at spell casting, and despite not wearing any weapons or something that would protect her from the force of nature that was Hector, she had still managed to dominate her with one simple gesture. Hector gulped, all thoughts of telling Aurelia off vanished, replaced by a burning desire to learn more about this strange fox.
“I’m sick of playing pretend at inflation bars. They won’t even let you go all the way, and they actually FORCE you to deflate before you leave, isn’t that bull shit?” She huffed, her recitation of her experience clearly dredging up a deep seated annoyance. Hector merely nodded meekly, still too stunned by having her mouth pried open and her tongue played with to properly respond. “And sure, I’ve managed to put on a good bit of weight, but there’s only so much I can do getting cute little simps to buy me a meal here and there. I don’t normally sink to coming to places like this. The hike up here left my paws tender and bruised, and I didn’t bring any money.” She withdrew her fingers when she was finished speaking, shaking her paw slightly. Hector’s saliva had frozen around her fingers, the ice imbued snow leopard radiating an otherworldly coldness, especially with how excited she was getting. “Gross, your muzzle froze my fingers…” She sighed, putting the icy digit into her own mouth, withdrawing one thawed paw pad. “So, what do you say?”
Hector was left panting softly, her mouth finally freed from Aurelia’s fingers as she worked to contain her breathing. “I would say… that I’ve frozen fools to their core for less than what you’ve just done to me. You know I practice forbidden magic, and yet you’ve come in here and treated me like I’m your plaything. Freezing you and smashing your statue would be among the less harmful things I could do to you.” She watched Aurelia, who simply nuzzled against Hector’s pillowy bicep once more in response. “And yet you don’t show a hint of fear. Normally I’d say you’re an over confident fool who thinks she can best me blow for blow… but I don’t think you’re so delusional as that. You radiate softness, I’m not sure spell craft would suit you, or blade work, or even sitting behind a desk. You embody the confidence and untouchable faith of the old nobility, and yet I don’t detect a trace of their magic in you.” That last comment made Aurelia flinch, her eyes darting away to hide from Hector’s piercing gaze. She’d often wished she was a princess, even if the monarchy had been overthrown.
“There’s nothing I find more endearing than someone who knows exactly how strong they are.” It was a bit of a struggle to heft her other arm up, reach it across her own swollen chest, and gently grab one of Aurelia’s love handles, but Hector managed it all the same. “And you my dear, have an unshakeable strength that I can only hope to emulate on my best days.” She slammed back down onto her back once the gesture was complete, huffing softly from the exertion. Perhaps it would have been easier to conjure an icy paw to make that gesture, but she felt wrong flaunting her magic before someone who was so clearly unimpressed with parlor tricks. “While I’d love to be able to inform you of the beautiful intricacies of my spellcraft… I’m willing to provide it for one so bold, free of charge. But I have to wonder… what is it you think I can do?”
“What I think…? Well… I probably couldn’t pin down half of what you’re able to do. I know you work with… uh, pure magic? Which is outlawed by the college all across the demesne…” The fox huffed, eyes darting to the side as she once again encountered an internal barrier, only to flick her gaze right back into Hector’s eyes as she continued undaunted. “I heard pure magic can overwrite reality, and let you change a person any way you want. So… do that to me, and make me enormous. You can do that, right?” Her voice didn’t speak of desperation, but rather an expectation, which would result in unbearable disappointment if it couldn’t be met…
Which made it difficult for both of them when Hector’s brow raised in concern, her face trying its best to show a placating smile. “Well…” She was about to go on a tangent about how it was much more complicated than that, but the fox gave her a deadly gaze that forced her to give the answer Aurelia wanted to hear, at least as close to it as she could actually provide. “Yes, that’s theoretically possible, and practically… within the realms of my abilities. If you’re serious… which I doubt you’re capable of not being, would you help me up, I’ll need to examine you a bit more closely.”
Aurelia seemed willing to accept that answer. She was demanding, but not unreasonable, and she was ultimately willing to defer to the expert’s position… so long as it was in line with her desires. She nodded as she sat up herself, her enormous rear splaying out beneath her as she gently wormed her arm beneath Hector’s back and aided the snow leopard in the monumental task of repositioning into an upright position. Once there, they stood up on their own power, huffing as they adjusted their lab coat which had gotten bunched up beneath them. Her tail extended from the slit in the back, the tails of the coat draped over each of her monumental orbs of ass. Slowly she turned around to face Aurelia once more, looking down at the fox who’s paws now once again rested on the floor.
“Alright, stay seated and I’ll examine you. All denizens are unique, and your makeup might make this easier or harder.” Hector took a deep breath, and the icy patterns along her side seemed to resonate with her magic, rising up off of her in a shimmery pale blue aura. This aura then enveloped Aurelia, the fox girl gasping softly as she was inducted into the aura. She sat quietly while Hector performed their analysis, though the look of concern on Hector’s plump features wasn’t inspiring confidence.
“What is it…? Don’t tell me there’s something wrong with me.” Once again, it came off less as a plea than an order.
“No… well… hm. I suppose it would have been nice if the easy thing were true.” Hector sighed, crossing their arms and tapping their paw. Behind them, their tail swayed about in eager excitement as she began to think how she would conquer the task set before her. “Yes yes, I know you don’t want to hear a technical explanation, I’ll limit myself to just what you need to hear. I’m sure you’re able to tell that I’m associated with ice above all else. I specialize in pure magic research, but my own aspect is Ice. I can work wonders with pure magic using ice as a catalyst, and if you were ice aspected as well, I really could fulfill your dream easily. It would take one touch of my paw, and I could manipulate your form as easily as I manipulated that snow storm. Unfortunately… your aspect is Fire. I had a feeling, you can often get a sense of these things from a person’s fur, but I try not to judge.”
Aurelia gave a slight huff, her eyes casting downward in disappointment. “Fire, huh? I’ve never been a big fan, are you sure? Actually, don’t answer that. You said you can still fulfill my request, right? Don’t tell me your magic is only useful for ice aspected people.”
Hector felt her fur bristle at the disrespect, the doughy fox having clearly struck something of a nerve. “Of course not! I pursue my research for the good of all denizens, not just those of us blessed by the sign of ice!” Despite her impassioned defense, she couldn’t help but droop when Aurelia didn’t back down. “But… Fire is definitely the hardest of the six elements for me to work with in this regard. If you were wind or water, it would be just as easy as if you were ice, and even electricity and earth have their pathways. Fire is… somewhat antithetical to Ice, but even in these disparate extremes are the forces of our world able to find harmony.”
Aurelia didn’t exactly mind Hector indulging in a bit of rambling, but she continued to be unimpressed by the jargon. “So you’re saying I’m going to be a challenge to work with?” She rolled her eyes, shifting her weight to one side. “Not the first time I’ve heard that… but unless I’m mistaken, it also sounds like it’s a challenge you’re up for? You seem like you love a good puzzle, so if I need to be your test subject, I suppose that’s just how it will have to be.” She certainly wasn’t pleased with the answer, but Hector had shown her enough that she still managed to feel a sense of confidence that she wouldn’t let her down.
Hector gave a firm nod, rubbing their paws together as they proceeded to pace back and forth. “It will be trying, and the results a bit wild. I’ve never tried this theory before, but if it works, I’ll be able to bring my research to a whole new level…” Suddenly looking around her, she frowned at the surroundings, finding them insufficient for her machinations. “I’ll need a lot of room…”
Aurelia gave a small shrug, looking up at Hector but sweeping her eyes across the largely abandoned bar. “There’s plenty of room here. Not like anybody’s really filling the seats, and well, I do kind of like an audience.” She admitted, hoping to placate Hector, as she really wasn’t keen on moving to a second location, but when it came to actually working her magic, Hector wouldn’t be swayed by the pillowy princess’ demands.
“Absolutely not. There’s far too many contaminants, and the magic of others would interfere with the experiment. Worry not, my fiery foxy friend. I’m sure a large, delicate thing like you must be so tired after your long march here.” Standing up to her full height, Hector slowly drew her arms up, magic coursing through the air around them. Bright auras danced around her as she channeled her magic into a spell, several seconds of focus dedicated to aligning her energies. Both paws hung up to the sky for a moment as her paws left the floor for just a moment, before she threw her arms forward, a powerful mass of energy bursting from her figure, surging around Aurelia before settling in to the icy throne she sat upon.
Aurelia didn’t flinch from the display of power, even if several others who watched from a distance seemed put off by such a forceful spell being deployed. She did give a small gasp of shock when she suddenly felt the seat beneath her lift up, a throne perfectly sized for her breaking off from the main block of ice and raising slightly into the air, her paws dangling inches away from the ground as the makeshift throne sprouted short icy legs, the hard paws at the end skittering softly against the floor as they found their footing. “If you’d like to relax, you can simply lean back and stay seated… though I’d understand if you would prefer walking yourself, it may be your last chance to.”
“That’s an awfully bold claim for someone looking to try an unproven theory.” Aurelia smirked as she moved away from the edge, lounging back in her seat and letting her hand paw gently rest on her belly. “I think I’ll enjoy the chance to rest my paws you’ve so graciously extended… though I feel like I’d be doing myself a disservice if I didn’t at least ask where you were taking me.” She hadn’t been planning on leaving the Snake Tunnel without first having her request seen to, but she supposed she’d acquiesce if it were her only option. Fortunately, she found her seat turning to follow Hector as she went further down the tunnel, away from its entrance.
“I don’t plan on whisking you away, we have quite a great deal of space to work with right here.” Hector lumbered and waddled her way past the back exit of the bar, a wide door that had once served as a gateway to a life of hard labor. The simple wooden housing facade gave way to a massive sprawling cave system, huge craters marking its cavernous ceiling and walls, evidence of the ore long since plundered. The ground beneath them continued as a wooden walkway, with splintering pathways of stairs leading to abandoned digging sites. Hector gave a soft pondering sigh as she looked about for the best place to get to work, spying a crater with a lovely naturally flat floor. She descended the small staircase that led to it, the ground beneath her transitioning to a cool obsidian. The crater itself could have easily contained the bar they’d left behind with room to spare, and was free of all debris. It was the perfect stage for her experiment.
Aurelia looked at the vast crater, thighs rubbing against each other in excitement as she thought about the possibility of overflowing such a massive enclosure all on her own, though she tried to temper her excitement by reminding herself that Hector probably couldn’t deliver on such a grand fantasy. She also found herself gripping the edges of her seat as the thing suddenly began to descend stairs, causing her to shake from side to side and lean forward. If she hadn’t been so quick to steady herself, she likely would have been flung clear. Her fur was frizzed from the sudden motion, and she was shooting Hector with a death beam of concentrated annoyance from her eyes, though apparently it wasn’t a very effective one as all it did was make Hector give a nervous chuckle as she smiled back at her. “Apologies, I forgot about your little throne and the stairs…”
“Huff… It’s fine, just… don’t do that again.” She flipped her hair to hide her frazzled state, and wasted no time in hopping off the seat now that they’d arrived at their destination. “So… this old mine is where I’ll have my great transformation? Is this going to take long? I haven’t exactly eaten in a minute.”
“Don’t worry, if this were a time consuming ritual, I’d have made sure to ply you with a meal first. You’d be less likely to interrupt me if your paws and mouth were busy feeding your lovely muzzle.” Hector sighed softly at the thought, holding her paw aloft and slightly to her side, just out of her own field of view as she continued to analyze Aurelia. Her paw glowed softly with magic, resonating with the air around them, and the stone in particular. A wisp of magic began to trace along the vast and empty floor, leaving a white residue behind, tracing out a massive circle as it went. “The prep time shouldn’t be too long, though you may find yourself a bit drained at the end of it. At the risk of getting interrupted again, I’ll explain some of the basic theory as I work, in layman’s terms of course.”
Aurelia couldn’t help sighing in defeat. “If you must… I guess it’ll give me a better idea of what to expect.” She rested one of her massive paws on her hips, Hector keenly observing how far they stuck out to her sides. Her thighs were truly massive, each one nearly wide across as her soft belly which hung down to her knees, and Hector couldn’t help but wonder how such a strongly defined figure would react to forcible magical expansion.
“Well, this mine… I suppose you’re familiar with the idea that metal is antithetical to magic? Perhaps it’s better to say it repels it. Natural caves like this are rife with magic as the metals and ores within expel magical energy into the air. Normally monsters feed on this ambient magic, but an abandoned tunnel like this one, that still sees humans parked at its entrance, means that very few monsters are actually willing to settle here.” As Hector spoke, the circle completed, and the wisp broke off into several smaller recreations, each one tracing out intricate patterns on the floor. “We’ll be harnessing three forces, the abundant magical energy in the air, my own considerable reserves, and your own pristine depths of magic. It’s actually quite fortunate that you’re not a magic user, the pure energy and fire in you would be more mixed, and I wouldn’t be able to manipulate it as well as I’ll be able to.”
“All the energy in this cave huh…?” Aurelia looked around her surroundings once more. While she couldn’t detect more magic here than anywhere else, she had to admit there was something ominous about the space. It seemed to continue off into endless splintering pathways and tunnels, the size of it all making her head spin just a bit. And all of it would be directed into her? Maybe she shouldn’t let her hopes get too low either.
“As a side effect, you’ll likely be far more attuned to the forces of nature that govern our world, but I doubt a girl like you is interested in such metaphysical concepts. Well… I suppose your results could be more considered the side effect but I digress. Please back up to the edge of the arena.” Hector finally lowered their paw as the wisps finished their work, the icy sprites fizzling out like a snowflake melting in the sun. That paw was then gently placed on Aurelia’s back as the two of them inched away to the limits of the pit where the ground changed from the smooth obsidian to craggy rocks, which Aurelia did not appreciate being forced to stand so close to. Stepping on such jagged flooring would be far from pleasant.
She didn’t have to worry too much about inadvertently misstepping for too long however as Hector held their paws aloft, power surging through the air as they focused their considerable internal energy reserves to fuel the spell she was casting. The ground began to shake slightly, and with one forceful gesture from Hector, a bright light flashed and hung for a moment. Aurelia covered her eyes, unsure of what she should have even been bracing for. When she didn’t feel any immediate changes beyond a slight chill, she slowly allowed herself to peak, only to be met by the quizzical sight of a looming spire of ice jutting out of the ground. The massive cone filled nearly the entire crater, and was completely translucent, making it a bit hard to even notice it at first. Not a single impurity existed within the cone of frozen water, and when Aurelia looked through it, she saw clear through to the other side.
“That’s… a lot of ice. But I don’t see how it helps me at all.” She frowned, and moved to touch the ice block out of curiosity, though she too froze in place when Hector’s paw suddenly grasped her wrist.
“Do not! Touch that. Ahem…” She cleared her throat, gently guiding Aurelia back to her stance from before before releasing her wrist. “Apologies, I should have said that before actually completing the spell. You mustn’t touch it prematurely. I know that will only spur you to wanting to touch it even more, but I must stress that there will be no fantastical backlash of magic that would turn you into a towering quivering mass of blubber. All that would achieve is ruining this ice base and calling the whole experiment off.”
Aurelia felt quite called out by Hector’s warnings, and for good reason. She had enough sense to know that interacting with the mass of ice was probably a bad idea, which was why she wanted to touch it all the more desperately. After learning that it would merely ruin the spell, she felt a bit disappointed. “Alright, so I can’t touch it. How does you making a twenty foot no touch ice tower help either of us?”
“This ice isn’t normal ice, as I’m sure you’ve been able to put together so far. It’s the purest Ice I can currently conjure. Not only is it free of any non ice particles, but it’s also free of other elements as well. It would be more accurate to call it crystalized magic than anything else. Other than being an impressive feat, on its own, it’s rather useless. I can manipulate the ice with magic, but the pure energy inside would still be out of reach, and will escape as it melts, which it will do relatively soon. That said… that’s only if we allow the diverse and mundane realities of our world to melt it away, which is not what we’ll be doing. A practical demonstration is in order before we move on to the full experience.”
Hector finished her little speech and only then released Aurelia who snatched her paw back, gently rubbing her wrist. “Is this where I come in? You said my… reserves or whatever would be important.” “I’m glad you’ve been following along, perhaps you’ve a better head for this than you like to let on?” Hector purred slightly, feeling a great amount of self satisfaction in that moment. Rather than dwelling on it however, she turned her attention to the ice and held her paws up to it, her body glowing softly as a section of the ice split off, seemingly of its own volition. The chunk of icy crystal floated up, a massive hunk nearly as large as Aurelia herself held aloft between them, levitating between Hector’s paws. “This is the tricky bit… Just take a deep breath and let it out very slowly, as deep as you can manage.”
“Al… alright.” She had to admit she was a bit confused, this whole thing had taken a turn for the esoteric that she really was having a hard time following. Hector’s instruction of breathing deeply made her think that something strange was about to happen to her, and she was proven right as she did as commanded. A deep breath was taken, inflating her diaphragm, before she began to slowly release it out. To her complete shock, rather than a harmless breath, a mighty torrent of flame sprang forth, as if she were breathing out flammable gas that had just struck an open flame. She felt an odd burning sensation spreading out from her core, as well as a strange hollow sucking feeling down to the tips of her paws. It wasn’t painful, but she did find the sensation utterly alien.
The jet of flame initially threatened to blow past the block of ice and engulf Hector instead, but the snow leopard’s piercing golden eyes flared, drawing energy from a ruby studded ring on her left paw. The flame stopped short of her, and she felt her muscles quivering as she struggled to maintain the suboptimal demonstration. It was exceedingly difficult to manage the ice and the flame at the same time, but somehow she managed all the same. The flame swirled around the ice, covering it up in a sphere of rolling flames which Hector slowly began to compress, drawing her akimbo paws slowly closer together. The sphere of fire grew smaller and smaller, Hector’s paws shaking as she looked to be grappling with a monstrously unstable force. She really should have done this a bit further from the main block, but she tried not to let such self doubts distract her from maintaining her focus.
The flame didn’t spring from Aurelia’s mouth for very long, and once she stopped acting as a makeshift flamethrower, she was free to watch Hector compress her charge further and further, before with one final surge of fiery passion, the flames shot up into the air and vanished into light wisps of smoke that fortunately flowed up and away from the block of ice. In the space where the ice had been, an odd, jiggly mass remained. Aurelia slowly took a step forward to get a better look at what it was, before it seemed to grow a mind of its own and lunged at her mouth. Her beady black eyes shot open as wide as they could as her muzzle was suddenly covered, her paws instinctively moving to try and cover her mouth, but the magical flood pouring into her was far too powerful to be interrupted. As the substance slid across her tongue, she was struck by an intensely familiar taste and texture, and she began gulping on reflex. It was ice cream, pure and simple strawberry flavored goodness. She couldn’t quite understand what was going on, but swallowing large quantities of ice cream was at least not so utterly alien to her.
The hollow drained feeling she’d felt having her magic manipulated out of her was suddenly replaced by a strange overwhelming fullness. She’d had someone pour melted ice cream down her throat before, but this wasn’t anything like that, she quickly found. Her belly inflated slightly under the deluge of creamy goodness, but to her shock, she felt an unusual sensation accompanying it. It was unfamiliar, but deeply nostalgic all at once, as she realized she’d felt it before, just not like this. She was getting fatter. Not slowly over the course of years, she was actively growing fatter in this very moment. She could feel her arms sagging just a bit more, her thighs wobbling as they were suddenly competing even harder for free space. It only lasted for a moment before the glob of ice cream finished forcing its way down her throat. The fullness dissipated quickly as well, but the changes didn’t.
“Wh… what was that!? That was amazing, I’ve never tasted something so… I-I don’t understand, how did… did I somehow… bake ice cream?” She was just as confused as to the specifics of what happened to her as she was excited and aroused by the results. She allowed her paws to roam over her figure as she waited for Hector to explain, instinctively tugging at her small shirt. It covered even less now, and her chest had swollen a small amount, making the garment tighter still.
“It’s a reaction to your desires. Pure magic is very receptive to emotions and memories. The Ice was melted by your fire, force acting against stasis. But since that was pure ice, not just mundane frozen water, and that was… as close to pure fire as I could get, rather than simply being reduced to a puddle, all the ice melted away, leaving behind the pure magic within. Wrapped in a cocoon of our magic, it resonated with your desires and memories, turning into ice cream, but once the fire was gone, it remembered where it came from, and so it dove right back into you. You absorbed the pure magic into your body, and without anything else to do or direct it, it did what it does best, and settled onto your frame as nice, lovely, rich.. Blubber.”
“I melted the ice, but not the magic… I think I understand…” She wasn’t sure how much she’d grown, it wasn’t like she’d swollen up to massive proportions over the one glob of ice cream, but it was notable, she could tell she was fatter, and now she needed more. Her gaze fell to the massive ice cone beside her, mind reeling at the realization that they had that much ice for her to consume. “I see… you really are as impressive as I heard.”
Hector’s tail swished happily behind her at the praise, the euphoria of it briefly overtaking the feeling of strained exhaustion she was developing. She didn’t want to let on just how taxing that little display was, but she was also having a hard time catching her breath. “As I said, that was a demonstration. For the main show, the process will be a bit different. You’ll have to shoulder more of the burden, but the effect will be far more pronounced… Unfortunately we’ll have to hurry, that flame increased the temperature, and ice can only stay pure for so long…”
Aurelia watched Hector with a mixture of wonder and caution, though her ambition won out over her compassion as her tongue flicked out over her lips. She’d hoped to catch another taste of that amazing ice cream, but of course all of it had swarmed past her mouth, not leaving a smudge behind. “I’m ready. Come on, I don’t want to let one more pound melt away. What do I have to do this time?”
“I love the enthusiasm… alright…” Hector straightened back up to her full height, and gave a wave of her paw as she cast another spell. This time it was for her own benefit, a pseudo ice based healing spell freezing her muscles into a slight stasis. She wouldn’t feel any more tired… for now. “That’s better. Alright. Round two will be a lot less efficient, but that’s fine. I’d need a full dedicated team of fire and ice mages to get this whole thing into you without any loss, so we’ll be taking a different approach.” Steady on her paws once more, Hector held her paw out for Aurelia, stepping up to the section of ice she’d cut off. “Take my hand, I’ll be putting you inside.”
“Inside…?” She wasn’t sure she liked the sound of the command, but she’d gone too far to back down now. She took Hector’s paw in her own, and the Snow leopard walked forward. The wonders didn’t stop, as the ice block seemed to warp around Hector’s form, creating a tunnel for the two of them to pass through. Hector guided her forward, the two of them lumbering together, and Aurelia felt the chill in the air climbing rapidly. She could see her breath forming clouds of steam, and she found herself instinctively holding her breath.
“Don’t get separated from me, for best results, I need to put you as close to the center as I can manage.” The mage kept their subject pressed close to their side, and using the markings on the floor beneath them to guide her steps, she eventually found the center of the circle. The fox was swung around to Hector’s front, before the snow leopard tucked her arms beneath the plump fox’s arms and lifted her up. Aurelia felt herself yelp in return, unused to being lifted so easily. Hector might not have been the most muscular snow leopard ever, but she was tall and easily able to apply leverage, and from the chill wrapping around her doughy ass, it was clear Hector’s magical muscles were also engaged in lifting her up. “There we go… We’re at the horizontal center, but this is as close as I can get you to the vertical center without diminishing returns. I’m going to step back now, and you’ll be encased within the ice. You won’t be able to hear my voice, but just keep calm, and keep breathing through your nose. If you do that, you’ll come out unharmed, and with your wish granted.”
Aurelia felt a shiver of excitement mix in with all her regular shivers, and she nodded swiftly in response to Hector’s directions. She opened her mouth to respond affirmatively, but just as she did, Hector’s support left her body. Rather than dropping to the ground however, the snow leopard took a quick step back, and the fox was swallowed up by the ice which settled back into its original position, regardless of her presence. The clock was now ticking, not just for the ice block slowly melting, but for Aurelia herself, trapped within the supernatural frigid force. Being trapped in a block of regular ice would already be bad for one’s health, but being trapped in unfiltered stasis was liable to send her into a deep freeze sleep if Hector didn’t act fast.
She made it back out of the magic circle that acted as the outer limit for the ice, though she already noted a slight puddle on the floor at the furthest edge, the mundane forces melting through the outer layer, turning it back into regular ice and water. She was thankful that everything was proceeding according to her calculations, but she had never been the best at acting under pressure. Despite that, she continued to work quickly. Determined not to let Aurelia down as they held their left paw out once more, the ruby set on their finger flaring to life. A small laser of condensed heat bore a tiny hole into the ice, forming a ludicrously tiny tunnel connecting Hector and the fox. This ludicrously tiny passage was all Hector needed to reestablish the connection she’d formed with Aurelia earlier. The second time proved easier than the first, as she was able to focus solely on controlling the raging force that lay dormant within her. By Hector’s calculations, At least half of the ice would melt due to outside factors, but with her current power, that was as efficient as she could manage.
Link reestablished, Hector’s consciousness dove into Aurelia’s spirit, and coaxed the flames to life within her. Rather than breathing it out in a steady burst of flame, her body gave off small waves of pure fire that melted through layers of ice, transmuting it into puddles of pure energy that resolidified into ice cream. Like tenacious slime based life, these puddles of ice cream congealed together, before snaking along Aurelia’s body, and diving into her mouth. The frozen fox could barely think with how cold she was, but once the process began, she was able to breathe steadily. She was thankful Hector had told her to breathe through her nose, as her mouth was suddenly engaged with the strenuous task of gulping down the prison that surrounded her. As Hector found her rhythm manipulating the force of fire within Aurelia, so too did Aurelia find a rhythm for her gluttony.
She felt full before too long, and at first she figured that feeling would fade once the sweet sludge filling her dissipated back into foxy blubber, but she seemed to be taking it on faster than she could transmute it herself. As a result, her belly bloated outwards, the flabby apron normally clearly segmented into two soft rolls was swiftly pumped outwards into one solid mass of ice cream packed fox belly, and only seemed to grow rounder as more poured into her.
Of course, even though she couldn’t burn it all away at once, her magical metabolism was still hard at work. She didn’t dare open her eyes for fear of getting ice or cream or water into them, but she didn’t need her eyes to feel the way her ass swelled lusciously out behind her. Even with her bottom heavy weight distribution, she even felt her chest glorp and swell with blubber, two perky peach colored tits ripping through the weak fabric of her shirt as her back swelled in tandem, rolls forming along her posterior, the weight piling into her arms overflowing onto her back.
It was an entirely new experience, even the vague feeling of slowly growing fatter over time couldn’t compare to this supreme indulgence. No matter how painfully full she was stretched, the energy pouring into her body seemed to prevent that from becoming a problem. While her body did push out uniformly, taking on a more spherical look as weight struggled to find locations to settle, limbs burying into swelling sides as paws sunk into swelling limbs, her distinct shape seemed to persevere against the unrecognizable and uncontrollable growth. Her thighs and rear were taking on the brunt of the growth, swiftly expanding to the point where she could feel it pressing into the firm ground beneath her.
Her body was radiating heat not just as pulses of magical flames from Hector’s intervention, but also as a simple consequence of her growing so massive, heat building up in her fluffy fur. As the ice melted from within and without, Aurelia’s swelling body proved to just be another factor causing the ice to melt more quickly. The ice cream didn’t stain her fur, magically compelled to sink into her mouth as it was, but the resulting water from melted ice made her fur slick, rivulets traveling down the channels of stretch marks that were beginning to form where she was growing fastest, along the lower curve of her belly and along her thighs.
Hector gasped for air as they continued to maintain the experiment, exhaustion creeping past her magical defenses. She could prevent the strain on her muscles, but even a master of magic like her had limits to how much magic she could manipulate in one go. She was already forced to work outside her comfort zone by manipulating fire instead of ice. The only thing that kept her going at this point was the hazy sight of Aurelia blowing up like a blubbery sun through the hazy surface of the ice. Water running along its sides had spoiled the perfectly translucent illusion, distorting the image of the fox contained within, but Hector hardly seemed to care. “Such a noble bearing… Her body, her soul, it all yearns for this pillowy new reality..”
The experiment could only be prolonged through sheer force of will for so long however. Water was rapidly spoiling the purity of the ice, and Aurelia found herself gurgling slightly as water mixed in with the onslaught of ice cream. Her gut peaked out of the top of the ice cone, wobbling in the frigid air of the cave, and the ice that she was magically melting was now growing more sparse, losing more of its purity as it had to travel further to get to her all devouring maw. Despite feeling every ounce of magical cream she’d swallowed, she still found it in herself to turn her head in a rare moment of reprieve, chomping down on a chunk of ice that remained near her head, and Hector felt their ears perk up at the revelation.
“Oh, you’re so right, I can’t believe I didn’t think of that earlier… Well, perhaps it wouldn’t have worked so well without a massive furnace.” Finally allowing herself to give her fire muscles a break, she cut off her control of Aurelia’s aura, leaving a small flame burning at the back of her throat. Exhausted as she was, Hector nearly stumbled over. Before fully losing her balance, she caught herself, one paw slamming down into the ankle deep pool of water that had formed around her. The ice that remained around Aurelia, a sad unevenly melted shadow of the magnificent spire that had been there moments ago, lifted into the air, spraying water about the area as Hector swiftly purged the surface level impurities. The Ice that remained had formed into a ring, the center thoroughly carved out by Aurelia’s blimping body. Hector was forever thankful for the intrinsic properties of ice, the substance only able to melt at the points that were exposed to air, and so a thick core of pure ice remained.
One kneading motion later, and the ring had refashioned itself into a long shaft of ice, just the right size for Aurelia’s bloated mouth that still hung open slightly. “Mff… buh… put it… in me…” Aurelia gave a gurgling command, her entire body sloshing from the force of water and cream settling within her. Hector didn’t need to be told twice, and with surgical precision, she guided the rod into Aurelia’s waiting mouth. The eager fox wrapped her mouth around it, the fire burning within her allowing her to withstand the supernatural cold, sucking it greedily as the flame got to work. Hector couldn’t help the way her cheeks warmed at the sight of her licking over the rod, and while she wanted to instruct her to stop, that her lascivious display was causing more of the ice to melt than was necessary, she certainly didn’t have the heart to do anything but give in to Aurelia’s desires, the remaining icicle slowly but surely vanishing down her throat.
As the tip of the rod met her internal flame and burst into more delicious ice cream that she barely even needed to gulp to get down her throat, She showed off one last impressive display of growth. Once the last of the ice was pushed past her frigid lips, she gave one final mighty gulp, and suddenly silence hung in the air around them. Both of them were panting and exhausted, the sheer force of having her body grow so far beyond her expectations coupled with having so much of her never before seen magical potential forced out of her knocking most of the wind out of her. Hector meanwhile shuddered and gasped, her breath wheezy and ragged, and while she attempted to maintain her composure, she took one step forward and all her strength left her at once. She could have suffered some serious damage if there wasn’t a massively bloated landing pad of fox blubber for her to crash into instead.
The snow leopard sunk into Aurelia’s bountiful body, who at this point defied any comparison of being small, certainly not against Hector’s comparatively diminutive frame. She grasped onto thinned fur, trying to hold herself up, even as Aurelia let out a gurgly series of displeased sounds at being groped so harshly, but ultimately she couldn’t keep her composure, and fell from the enormous fox’s belly, sliding down to slam into the pool beneath them, sending a spray of ice cold water that splashed over Aurelia’s body.
She truly had grown massive. Even if the entire ice pillar couldn’t have been transformed into pure foxy blubber, the results were still phenomenal. No longer suspended in the ice, her body had sunk down, and with the weight being nearly evenly distributed between her ice cream packed belly and her titanic rear, she was easily able to settle into a sort of seated position. Her limbs looked completely non functional, big fat paws stuck out from arms that couldn’t bend any longer, though she still tried to reach out and rub her overstuffed enormity. Her fat foot paws stuck out delicately from her enormous legs, thighs and calves blending into one another, weight obscuring many of the finer details of her anatomy. Each of her enormous fiery ass cheeks was bigger than Hector alone, soft heavy orbs of pure blubber that smushed under their own weight, and all the weight of the fox above them. And she still wasn’t done growing.
All the ice may have been consumed, but there was still a fair bit of ice cream within her body that still needed to be transformed to its true purpose as indolent blubber, and it was hard at work fulfilling its life’s mission. Her entire figure sloshed and shook as she tried in vain to move about and get a better look, to try and check on Hector, to so much as move an inch. She couldn’t manage it. Even if she could shift herself into a position where her dainty bloated paws could contact the ground, even if she’d been a body builder of legendary proportion, she wouldn’t have been able to manage so much as a waddle with her bloated and blubber bound proportions. So, she was forced to sit there, trapped in a sea of herself, as she felt her body push outward, her belly slowly surging large enough to press into Hector. Soft ripples ran through the water beneath them as she grew, which rebounded as gentle waves to slap against her jiggly softness, and cause light ripples to reverberate through her massive figure.
It was everything she’d ever dreamed of. She could barely twist her arms enough to reach her face, her bloated paws just managing to squish into her enormously engorged cheeks, giving them gentle kneads and feeling them wobble around. “Hnff… H-Hector… Get up… I need someone to… touch me, or feed me, o-or something, you can’t just leave me like this!” Her helplessness to see her desires met was driving her wild, her bloated features flicking between elated glee and desperation, genuine frustration at her newfound immobility cascading against the joy of pure indulgence.
Laying on her back, panting raggedly, eyes barely able to focus from exhaustion, Hector could still hear Aurelia’s voice, and feel her expanding softness pressing into her side. With all the steadiness of a newborn fawn, Hector’s paw lifted up once more, before slapping against Aurelia’s blubbery enormity, a resounding slap echoing through the halls. Aurelia gave the closest approximation to a jump her enormous figure could manage, followed by a shuddering Moan as Hector slowly pulled herself upright, dragging herself along the lower curve of Aurelia’s massiveness. The fox couldn’t see Hector exploring her vast softness for all the weight between them, but she could feel Hector’s round soft belly pressing into the slick surface of her grand gut. Hector nuzzled against her, tongue lapping over a deep stretch mark as she gave a hearty purr, face buried in a roll of blubber as she listened to Aurelia’s stomach gurgle and groan, hard at work finishing up its daunting task. The feeling of the snow leopard kissing her belly sent the blob into overdrive, her body bucking and sloshing violently as she struggled to contain the pleasure within her massive frame. “I’m coming, princess…”
True to her word, she used the last of her strength, one fat paw sinking into the cavernous navel that Aurelia had developed to use it as a foothold to heft her entire body up. It took a bit of effort, but eventually Aurelia saw one dazzling white paw crest the furthest reaches of her blubber, followed by a devious looking face. Hector scaled her new mountainous form, nestling herself up to Aurelia’s side, still wheezing from the exertion. She nuzzled herself right up to Aurelia’s bicep, the massive wing of blubber serving as an excellent pillow as the rest of her body made a wonderful bed. She opened her mouth to try and speak, but words weren’t coming. Instead, she just leaned closer, dragging her tongue along Aurelia’s enormous cheek.
Her soft pink tongue compressed and rolled the fat swaddling Aurelia’s face, prompting her to let out a delighted squeal. She looked happy to see Hector had mustered the strength to haul herself up so high, and she showed her appreciation in a way that made the tired snow leopard freeze on the spot. With a swiftness one wouldn’t expect of her new enormity, she twisted her face so that Hector was looking directly into her eyes, and the fox snapped forward, her lips wrapping around the icy tongue that had been dragging along her cheek. Hector felt herself being pulled along, her entire form guided by Aurelia’s mouth on her tongue, a soft shudder of excitement rolling through her body as the fox sucked on her tongue and ran her own along it. Before she knew it, she’d rolled over completely, her paws steadying herself on the shelf of fox ass that nearly rose to Aurelia’s shoulders, the enormous vulpine smiling up at her with all the confidence she’d displayed when she’d been a much smaller vixen.
“So… it looks like I made the right call trusting you.” She huffed out after releasing Hector’s tongue. Without Aurelia holding her proverbial leash, Hector was free to flop back down again, her face now resting on the fox’s cheek as her exhaustion overrode her desires once more. “As payment, I’ll let you sleep off your labor on me for tonight, but then you have to carry me out of here in the morning.”
Hector nodded softly, her eyes shut as sleep was already beginning to seep into her being. “I… I can do that… I’ll make you breakfast too, you must be starving… I hope your new life pleases you princess… You’re a natural at this…” She reached up, gently petting and kneading the other pillowy cheek beside Aurelia, who’s eyes were beginning to droop as well.
Back at the entrance of the Snake Tunnel, dozens of people watched the scene reach its conclusion, a murmur spreading through the gathered crowd. No one dared approach the couple, but no one knew what to do. Someone would come looking for the governor’s wife eventually, and nobody in attendance knew how to handle the fallout that would result from the most powerful figure for miles finding out that their wife had used illegal magic to turn herself into a multi-ton blob. Nobody wanted to see Hector get caught for her consensual display of magic, but if guards showed up, she probably couldn’t have actually protected herself at the moment. A silent agreement rippled through the gathering, an audience made up of bar regulars and a few people who’d been called here to view the spectacular scene. Even if the guards would arrive before too long, they were committed to helping Hector with her eventual escape, but everybody was elated at the prospect of seeing the enormous fox about town. Some stuck around to watch the amazing sight of fiery orange and red fur wobbling about, others went back to what they were doing, and nobody quite knew what the morning would bring.

hm. well, let’s see…
-my fics got more autobiographical while fusing worlds of fantasy, i.e., wrote/began writing some of my best work while saturn was in aqua
-my art got a lot honest, too. part of it being i’m working mostly by hand rather than digitization: i still do digital art but i’m having to be wise about it with the rise of ai and everything
-two very sexy men named joey and alex (joey at 0° degrees aquarius, alex at 4°)
-befriended amazing people
-started vocalizing more questions
-started “seeing things as they are”, i.e., people who are all talk and no walk, “fake it til you make it” is bullshit always has been and always will be, and things that are too good to be true, but also good people coming from all walks of life and small miracles in the strangest of places like bowls of soup or the twinkle in alex’s eyes or the way a cloud looks
-started standing up for things i believe in (supporting art and artists, supporting science at its root, taking care of your body, lgbtq+ rights and all things pertaining to sexuality, supporting people from different backgrounds, supporting men as well as women because there’s way too much cartoon “feminism” that’s just an excuse for people to be dickheads to boys and men while acting like girls and women are perfect in every way)
-started becoming really bored and disenchanted with “rockism” and i began paying more attention to smaller acts, weirder shit, and different genres without being all like “why isn’t this more popular?” out the gate in junction with the basic stuff because it’s buried in the same way diamonds are buried
-realized that i’m only a small part of an even bigger thing
-animals began warming up to me more (they always have but it was especially the case then; lots of cats and dogs, but also lots of birds, reptiles, horses, fish, billy goats, deer, elk, and even a couple of foxes?)
-gained 40+ pounds as of my writing this (30 in 2021, 17 last year, and i lost a couple so far this year: 40 pounds is still 40 pounds, and i can barely see my toes anymore when i look down 😅) and figured that it’s actually been a lifelong dream of mine to be very chubby, like i’ve always felt it in hindsight, from looking at my belly in the mirror and wishing it was fat to wanting dessert in a restaurant when my parents refused it. but i also want to stay healthy, like… i like wendy’s, arby’s, dairy queen, jersey mike’s, jack in the box, dutch bros., chili’s, el pollo loco, in n’ out, and outback steakhouse as much as the next fat girl but i actually prefer eating at home, and i eat mainly whole food at that, too—i like foreign food, too, mainly your asian stuff like japanese and vietnamese food. i’ve repressed a lot of desire out of fear of being judged for my weight (pluto is going to make me extra chubby? i’m kinda down 😆😋)
-shit got really erotic with me, like… more so than when saturn was in capricorn because it was all me in aquarius
-with my weight gain, i’ve grown very strong, like i don’t think i would have been able to shovel a pathway through 2-foot snow drifts for my mom, my dog, and myself without having this big, round “mountaineer woman” belly on me. i’m also way more flexible than i was in high school, too (i do miss riding my bike from home to the cafe nearby for coffee and pie, though)
-i’ve grown very disillusioned and displeased with mainstream culture, be it on tv or the internet, and i’ve just decided to go with my heart and what i like and i don’t care if i’m alone in it, too
-my intuition got absurdly sharp during that transit, too, like things would manifest to me after i talked about it in throwaway fashion or thought about it in fleeting detail
-been traveling a lot, usually to the beach or down to l.a., or even just doing “common people” type stuff like going to the movies or to a nice restaurant
-returned to things i loved as a kid that i sort of had to give up during my teen years like meteorology and comics and cartoons i grew up watching and horror and eating whatever i feel like (i had one of those little pies you get at walmart, blueberry of course + a piece of cake the other day: 8 year old me was in bliss!)
-discovered my heritage after not really knowing my whole life (i’m two parts latin, two parts from the british isles, one part scandinavian, and a tablespoon of baltic states: i always thought i was native american and german)
-my mom’s got saturn in aquarius, too, and during her own return, she picked up more hobbies like those diamond paintings, legos, and sewing (she and i are also big on funko pops, rocks, gardening, and books)
-she and i also got into a discussion about dreams in life a couple of times during that transit, how i want to make a comic book someday and go back into ceramics and art glass and working with my hands, while she wants to write and publish a novel and get more into carpentry
-problems with the house came up, too, like my stepdad dying and ownership of the house going into limbo, the septic backing up, the place being ungodly cold in the winter and hotter than holy fuck in the summer, and recently, losing the internet for four days
-saw a lot of weather during that transit, too, like… california is pretty much known for having nice day after nice day after nice day after nice day to the point of monotony, but i saw… snowstorms, the thickest fog i’ve ever seen, the brightest rainbows i’ve ever seen, awful heat waves, monsoon flows, hail, a couple of bomb cyclones, floods, hydrological outlooks, sleet, a shitload of rain, stupidly high winds, whatever tf was happening last spring when i didn’t put my winter clothes and warm blankets away until the end of june, snow up to my hip, the place actually looking like anchorage alaska at one point, and even funnel clouds
-the big thing is “acab” (all cops are bastards)… you know what’s really weird is i actually met a lot of cool cops during that transit, guys who were really good guys, like they were actually doing justice in front of me, a heavyset woman of mixed race. social justice should never be trendy, either: you stand for something because it feels right to you, not because it’s expected of you.
-i’ve also always known the power of lurking, just observing behavior, but saturn in aquarius really made me love doing that. there’s so much power in just watching people and seeing how they behave, especially when they think you aren’t around.
i should also mention that saturn was in my 8th house and conjunct my moon at one point, and i had my saturn return last month on the 17th, too! those transits get way too of a bad wrap, imo: questioning my sexuality and gender to the point of feeling overwhelmed and completely lost aside, saturn in the 8th is actually pretty cool at some points—in some cases, fun. and the saturn return can actually be the best thing to happen to you, too. saturn on the moon was kind of tough, though, like i often felt really robotic during that.

Ice And Fire
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/53003444/
FA link^
Description copied from FA: Hector, Master of Ice magic and researcher of the forbidden forces of pure magic, is killing time and considering moving on to another town when she's suddenly approached by a mysterious and dominant fox woman, who has a simple proposition for Hector: Use her illegal magic to make her as fat as she possibly can.
If you enjoyed it and want to support me in continuing this endeavor, a tip to https://ko-fi.com/ancocalcen would be super fucking nice :3 And if you're interested in commissioning me, send me an ask

The Disabled Tyrant’s Pet Palm Fish
One day, Li Yu transmigrated into a fish. Furthermore, this fish even had a master. This master was the sinister and terrifying, mute tyrant from a novel. The system gave Li Yu a task. If he wanted to change back into a human, he had to obtain the tyrant’s heart.
Li Yu full of tears: System, please wake up. I’m only a fish. He can’t even speak. How can we interact?
System: Stop jabbering. To take down the tyrant, you must attack his heart.
Li Yu: Can I ask, does the tyrant have a heart–
Li Yu did his best to blow bubbles at the tyrant, but ended up being captured by the tyrant and raised carefully in a huge, ginormous…… fish tank. The life of a fish was filled with all sorts of blessings.
Everyday, Mu Tianchi watched the little carp swim around happily, pondering when this fish would finally transform into a human.
The little carp didn’t know. It’s not that the tyrant had no heart, it’s just that he already gave it away to the little carp that accidentally saved his life.

“I asked for one.” Natasha mutters, under her breath.
“This isn’t a jet.” You add, the closer you get, the worse it becomes.
“I realize that!” The man who’d been standing with his back to you whips around to defend himself. This must be Natasha’s friend. “But you know what you didn’t give me? Time. Or money. I’m not made of jets.”
“Aww, he’s sensitive.” Yelena coos, “I see why you keep him around.”
“I’m not sensitive.” He protests.
“Of course not,” you smirk.
“Listen you-“ he breaks off. “Who are you again?”
“Y/N Y/L/N,” Yelena introduces you, climbing aboard. “She’s my partner….” She shrugs, “you name it really.”
“Partner works.” You chuckle, joining her in the cockpit.
“If you say so,” Yelena waves a dismissive hand. Getting a feel for the controls.
“Wonderful,” the man acknowledges your title.
“Thanks for the ride, Dick.” You salute him through the front window.
“It’s Rick,” he calls back.
“I know.” You give him a thumbs up. Waiting until he turns back to his conversation with Natasha. Taking the opportunity to lean down, kissing the top of Yelena’s head.
She cranes her head back to see you.
You nuzzle your nose against hers, until an exaggeration throat clearing tears you apart.
“We don’t have time for this.” Natasha, of course.
Yelena scowls at her, “yeah, yeah.”
Breaking Alexei out of a maximum security prison using only an earpiece, stowed inside of an action figure is a terrible plan. Nearly as bad as using him for information on how to locate a facility that’s impossible to find, run by a man who’s too slippery to kill.
That doesn’t stop you though. Generally speaking it’s going well. Until one of Yelena’s shots triggers an avalanche.
“Woah.” She marvels at the scene before you, her masterpiece. “Now this would be a cool way to die.”
“Yeah,” you holler back, sarcastically, over the chaos.
“You were getting no where with your tiny guns.” Yelena points out.
“Slow and steady wins the race,” you remind her.
“Fast is better. Solves problems.”
“And clearly creates new ones.” You jerk your chin toward the mountain.
“Get us out of here!” Natasha’s voice blares through the headset.
“I’m on it.” Yelena assures her. Moving into a better position for extraction. “Watch the side window.”
At her request you shuffle to the main ship. The prison guards are still putting up a fight. Inmates running in every direction.
“Alright, Natasha’s with us.” You confirm, once she’s secured her place on the black hanging rope. “Circle between the walls on your left to grab Alexei.”
“Yeah, no problem.” Yelena snarks, steering the plane away from another explosion.
“You’re doing a great job.”
“Don’t lie to me!”
“Fine,” you huff. “The spot is tight and the angle is bad. I don’t know how you’re gonna pull this off.”
Yelena is silent, processing the information. “Lie to me a little.” She amends.
“You got this.” The blinding wall of white threatens to swallow Alexei whole. You’re holding your breath too as the rope moves past the metal bridge he’s standing on.
“Well?” She yelps, impatiently.
“I don’t know. I can’t see.” Once the snow and ice clears, you spot two figures carefully scaling the rope. “Yelena?”
“Hmm.” She hums, expecting the worst.
“I knew you had it.”
“Yes,” Yelena sighs, before falling into easy laughter. More invested in this than she will ever admit.
————————————————————-
Unfortunately, entertaining as Alexei may be, he has next to no information about Dreykov.
Instead he drawls on and on about how the man wronged him. Stuck him on that “boring mission” in Ohio. Then tossed him in jail and threw away the key because of…hair? A party?
You weren’t entirely sure. You excuse yourself to the vacant seat beside Yelena. Giving her thigh a reassuring squeeze.
Full lips twitch up into a grin.
“Tell us where the red room is.” Natasha grumbles.
“I have no idea!” He shouts, and then in Russian. “Why don’t you ask Melina?”
“Mom Melina?” Yelena whips her head around.
“We thought she was dead.”
“You cannot kill a fox that swift,” Alexei sucks in a breath.
You choke on your own saliva.
“Ew.” Natasha winces.
“What?” The man shrugs. “She was the master mind. His architect.”
“Are you telling me that Melina works for the red room present day?” Natasha leans closer.
“Yes,” he nods. “Remotely, outside Saint Petersburg.”
“I don’t think we have enough fuel for Saint Petersburg.” Yelena decides, after checking the needle on the gauge.
“We’ll make it.” Alexei waves away her concern.
“Ok,” Yelena mutters.
You look over at her.
“We’re not going to make it.” She mouths, with a shake of her head.
You smirk, closing your eyes and relaxing into the seat. It’ll be nice while it lasts.
Before long you’re falling into a controlled crash, at the Saint Petersburg city limit.
“So,” Yelena jumps out onto the dirt. “Are we there yet?”
“No, you will know when we are there.” Alexei begins snorting like a pig.
——————————————————————-
You take a seat in the chair opposite Yelena inside Melina’s humble abode. Her pigs can be heard carrying on out in the yard and Alexei’s early snorting makes perfect sense now.
Your eyes dart around the three women at the table uncomfortably as noises continue erupting from the bathroom. “Everything alright in there?” You bellow, loud enough for your voice to carry down the hallway.
Another groan is the only response.
“Let’s drink,” Melina’s voice breaks the tension. She fills each of your shot glasses in turn.
“Thanks,” you raise the clear liquid and toss it back. Feeling it burn it’s way down your throat before going back for another.
After a moment a clunking from the doorway calls your attention.
“It still fits.” Alexei announces, having stuffed himself into his old costume.
Melina whistles, with a slow clasp as he approaches the seat at the head of the table. “I never washed it once. Come eat.”
He hums a tune under his breath, reliving days gone by. “Look at us, family back together again.” If you didn’t know better you’d think it was sweet, he seems…happy.
“Well,” Melina swallows, dishing mashed potatoes onto his plate. “Seeing as our family construct was just a calculated ruse that only lasted three years, I’m not sure we can use this term anymore.”
“Agreed,” Natasha perks up. “So here’s what’s going to happen-“
“Reunion then.” Alexei offers instead. “I want to say something right off the bat.” He says to the woman who’d once been his wife. “You haven’t aged a day. Just as beautiful and supple as the day they staged our marriage.”
Melina moves closer, “you got fat, but still good.”
“I just got out of prison,” he confesses, “I have a lot of energy.”
“Ooohooo.” The older woman exhales.
You can’t help the bubble of laughter that forces its way from your chest. Covering your mouth with your hand as Yelena takes another shot.
“Please don’t do that.” Beside you Natasha looks physically ill as she protests. Swallowing down her disgust she begins again. “So listen. Here’s what’s going to happen.”
“Natasha don’t slouch. You’re going to get a back hunch.” Melina flicks her fork in Natasha’s direction.
“What? I’m not slouching? I don’t slouch.”
“Eh, listen to your mother. Up! Up!” Alexei joins in.
“I told you, I don’t want any food.” Yelena pushes her plate away.
“Eat a little something Yelena, for God’s sake.” Melina says, piling food onto her plate.
Yelena groans.
“Are you kidding me? Stop it all of you. This is ridiculous.” Natasha bites out.
“Me? I didn’t do anything. That’s not fair!” Yelena argues.
“It’s true, she’s just sitting there.” You shrug.
“Here’s what’s going to happen,” Natasha roars, effectively silencing the room. “You’re going to give us the location of the red room.”
Melina purses her lips, avoiding the topic. “It’s like when you told them they could stay up to catch Santa Claus.”
“That was fun!” Alexei recalls. “Look out girls, he comes down the chimney. And when the cookies are gone you know he is there.”
Melina clicks her tongue.
“What? I want them to follow their dreams, shoot for the stars girls.”
“No good.” Melina disagreed.
“Killing Dreykov isn’t a fantasy. It’s unfinished business.” Natasha looks between the two of them.
“You cannot defeat someone who commands the very will of others.” Melina says, softly. “You never got to see the culmination of what we started in America. After the perfect partner project was rejected, we took a different route.”
“The perfect partner project?” You repeat, racking your brain. You’ve heard that somewhere before.
“Why’d Dreykov scrap the project?” Natasha’s voice cracks like a whip.
“I don’t know.” Melina’s eyes dart down to her plate.
You can see that she’s lying.
“That’s when we turned our focus to chemical subjugation.” Melina continues, “the control is so profound that when the subject is instructed to stop breathing. They have no choice but to obey.”
Yelena shakes her head. Perfect lips turned into a frown. Hazel eyes glistening with tears as they meet your own.
“That’s enough.” You warn the older woman, seeing the expression. The last thing you want to do is cause her anymore pain.
“No.” The blonde insists. “Tell me more about the partner project.”
“Yelena, we don’t have to do this.” You shake your head.
“Yes, we do.” Yelena slams her fist against the table in frustration.
“The extraction was messy to start. A high profile missing children’s case in North America. But the bond was very strong. Enhanced through targeted conditioning and subliminal messages. Until something happened that Dreykov did not anticipate.”
“What happened?” Natasha wonders.
“The girls became…attached.” Melina’s mouth twitches, “so they were separated.”
“Do you know who they tested on?”
Melina’s guilty eyes land on you. “I am sorry.”
“No,” you suspected, maybe. Somewhere in the back of your mind. You spent the first six months in the red room under solitary confinement. Rapidly and rigorously conditioned in a matter of weeks instead of years. Preparing you…for her. The teenager girl you couldn’t stand, the woman you eventually came to love.
“You,” Yelena laughs, although it’s not particularly funny. “Us.”
“Yelena-“ you reach for her hand across the table.
“Don’t,” she snaps. “Don’t tell me that it will be ok. They stole your life because of me. I never asked them to do that. I never asked for you!”
“I know.” You assure her. None of this was ever her fault.
“That’s right, because you know everything. Don’t you, Y/N?” Yelena scoffs, her hands balling into fists on either side of her dinner plate. “You know what I think. You know what I feel. Look at you. Ready to come out of your own skin because I am unhappy. Prepared to move mountains, prepared to start wars.”
“Like you’re any better.” You challenge, she knows you like the back of her hand.
“That is my point!”
“I’m sorry that this happened.” Alexei interrupts. Surely gearing up for a ‘father of the year’ speech. “But we are here now. All together! Wasn’t that worth a few years of-“
“Shut up!” Natasha growls at him. “You are an idiot.”
No response.
She moves her attention to Melina, “and you’re a coward. You’re a coward. And our family was never real. So there’s nothing to hold on to. We’re moving on.”
“Never family, huh?” Alexei throws up his hands. “In my heart I am simple man. For a couple deep undercover Russian agents I think we did pretty great as parents.”
“Yes,” Melina nods her agreement. “We had our orders and we played our roles to perfection.”
“Who cares? That wasn’t real.”
“What?” Yelena’s voice breaks.
“That wasn’t real.” Natasha repeats for emphasis. “Who cares?”
“Don’t say that. Please don’t say that. It was real. It was real to me. You are my mother!” Yelena all but sobs. “You are my real mother, the closest thing I ever had to one. The best parts of my life were fake.” She pauses, drawing in a steadying breath. “And none of you told me.”
You swipe at the tear that escapes your eye. Traitorously running it’s way down your cheek. It was never fake. Perhaps arranged, but never fake. The way you want to wrap her up in your arms, protect her from her own sadness. The way your heart breaks in time with hers. That is real. It has to be.
She turns back to the woman who she considered a mother. “Those agents that you chemically subjugated around the globe…that was me too.”
Finally she addresses Natasha, “and you. You got out. It is impossible to escape. Are you going to say anything?” A pause. “No.”
She pushes her chair from the table, taking the bottle with her as she stands. Turning her back in the four of you.
“Yelena.” Natasha calls after her. Guilt eating away from the inside out.
“No.” Yelena dismisses her a second time. Moving into the next room and closing the glass doors behind her.
You look down at the plate of food in front of you, now lacking any appeal.
“I had no idea.” Melina whispers, wringing her hands.
“I’ll go to talk to her.” Alexei offers, rising to his feet.
“About what?” You hum, “how you handed her over to a life of pain and suffering at the age of six? How you experimented on her? How you didn’t come back for her? Yeah. I’m sure that’s just what she needs right now.”
With that you excuse yourself, back out to the front yard. Slowly circling the perimeter of Melina’s cottage. Not looking for anything in particular. Just killing time until someone produces information about how to get to Dreykov.
The blinding light that appears moments later catches you off guard. A team of men exit one of the three circling planes. Since you couldn’t find the red room, this is the next best thing.
—————————————————————
Waking up is disorienting, coming to from a tranquilizer always is. It’s bright, almost blindingly so. It takes a moment for your eyes to adjust. You attempt to use your hands to cover them, only you can’t move your hands.
Leaning up as much as your restraints will allow you discover that you’re strapped to an operating table. And you’re not alone.
“Yelena?”
“Miss American Pie,” she drawls from a similar position. Neither of which gives you much chance to escape whatever fate awaits.
“You’re not allowed to die mad at me,” you grumble.
“I’m not mad at you.” She blinks slowly, as the surgeon marks a clean line at the perimeter of her hairline. “I’m just mad.”
“Yeah,” you let out a laugh, turning back to the light above the gurney. “Me too.”
“You are my perfect partner.” She murmurs, while gloved hands busy themselves with preparations. “I don’t know if that makes it better or worse.”
There’s a beat of silence between you. Acceptance…peace. “I love you, you know.”
At this Yelena smiles. A genuine, happy, smile. “I know.”
Something to remember her by.
The syringe at your neck releases a sedative into your blood and you fall asleep. One last time.
—————————————————————
Dying is peaceful, gently rocking in the ocean. Then swaying more violently, giving you the urge to be seasick. Your body should move with the force of it. But something holds you steady, something warm.
“Yelena?” You croak.
“Not quite, but there is resemblance, huh?” A different voice greets you.
“Alexei?” You realize, pushing yourself into a sitting position.
“That’s a girl, up you go.” He says, clapping a hand against your back.
“What happened?” You ask, “where’s Yelena?”
“Still inside,” Melina confirms. “Brought you here so you’d be safe.”
“Natasha?”
“They’re coming.”
You sigh, ready to jump out the open door of the hovering chopper.
“What are you doing?” Alexei demands.
“Going to find them.”
“Wait! Y/N, wait.” He pleads. “There’s something I must tell you. I tried to tell Yelena but I don’t have earpiece.”
“What?” Your brows furrow.
“Never mind that.” He shakes his head. “The point, is you were right. What you said about Yelena. We complete our mission, we move on. But losing her, losing my girls is my biggest regret.”
“I’ll tell her, don’t worry.” You give his shoulder a squeeze.
“Please let me finish.” He stops you again. “She carried your unconscious body through burning building, through explosions. This is not easy, you are very heavy.”
“Oh, Alexei!” Melina scolds him.
“Not that.” He amends, “you know what I mean. It is dead weight.”
You nod, “sure.”
“I look at you together and I see true love and I am happy. You are family now, and this time…we are going to stay together. We’re not leaving without you.” The older man says, helping you onto the metal grate of the falling red room.
Not a second later an explosion rings through your ears, sending Melina, Alexei and your get away vehicle spiraling to the ground.
“It’s the thought that counts,” you’ll make a new plan.
You run toward the flames and gunfire. “Yelena!” You call out, searching the surrounding area.
“Y/N,” Natasha finds you. “What are you doing?”
“I can’t find Yelena.”
“I thought she was with you.” The woman frowns.
“Well she wasn’t!” You bite out, fear and frustration getting the best of you.
“Don’t worry, we’ll find her. You go-“ the red head pauses. Her eyes focused on something behind your head.
You turn to follow Natasha’s gaze. Finding her. Yelena. The wild, unpredictable, firecracker of a woman. On the wing of the jet with Dreykov inside.
“Yelena! Stop!” You rush over, realizing what she’s about to do. Her staff poised at the propeller.
She pauses at the sound of your voice.
“He’s not worth it.” No one is worth it. Not when she is the cost.
Yelena smiles, eyes alight with mischief, “I love you, you know.”
“I know.”
Natasha tries to reason with her. “Don’t do it!”
“This was fun.” Yelena tells her sister, jamming the propeller and effectively destroying Dreykov’s jet. The force of the explosions sends her backwards, hurtling towards the ground with the remaining pieces of the red room.
“Put your pack on and jump.” Natasha tells you. Rushing for the nearest parachute. “I’m going to save my sister.” She dives head first over the edge, without putting on her harness.
“Not if I get there first,” you challenge. This would be a cool way to die.

Out of the Little Grove (3/?)
Tumblr media
The first thing that hit her when she stepped off the Zeppelin in Nome was the marshy smell of the Snake River that purled past the airfield. The second thing was the cold. Though it was summer, there was a chill underlying everything; the kind of cold that waited for you just round a bend, the kind that hid in every shadow. The cold made the air seem brighter somehow, the sunshine as high and clear as a rung bell.
Scully could see her breath. Hendrick ruffled the fur around his neck, making a feline chuff of displeasure.
“Ah,” Mulder said, with an irritating air of serenity, “the north.” As though he had just walked through the door of a pub where everyone knew his name. Cass gave him a look askance and proceeded to trot down the short metal plank to the ground, her nails clicking with each brisk step.
At the base of the plank waited a short, grizzled man dressed in a sheep fleece-lined vest and a pork pie hat, fingerless gloves on hands that were laced together in front of him, patiently expectant. His dæmon sat up on her haunches next to him, a portly raccoon with her paws held in just the same way.
“Mr. Mulder,” he said, “Ms. Scully. Welcome to Bekingland.”
Mulder and Scully took the last few steps down the plank and reached out to shake hands with the little man, who held onto Scully's hand a fraction too long, his eyes softening in the light of the cold summer sun.
“Frohike?” Mulder asked, to which the man nodded, and then pointed down to his dæmon.
“Annie,” he said, introducing them. Hendrick and Cass politely touched noses with the raccoon. “Come,” Frohike went on, turning on his heel and leading them to the area where their luggage awaited them. They obediently followed, Scully looking this way and that at the high, snow-capped mountains that stood as a purple and white backdrop like a ring around the valley in which they stood.
Once they collected their things and were a ways away from the porters and the other passengers, Frohike looked at them over his shoulder.
“Apologies, Detectives, but it would be best not to advertise your employment by the Magisterium while here amongst the Beking.”
“Your accent,” Mulder said, nodding, “you don’t sound Beking yourself.”
“I am New Danish by birth,” he explained, turning them onto a wet gravel path that led from the airfield down a gentle slope toward the port. “I grew up in the north, just outside of Pontchartrain on the border with New France.” His dæmon kept glancing back at them as if to assure herself that they still followed, her fat striped tail swishing over the prickly, frost-covered grass at their feet. “I have hired a boat to take us up the Snake,” Frohike went on, “the captain and crew know our business, but you will want to be on guard while on shore. This land is not entirely lawless,” he said, “but not entirely… not.”
With that they approached the town center which fanned out from the center of the port, and Frohike swung a right toward the northernmost pier, a long stretch of wet and slippery docks with a heavy anbaric crane on one side and a row of small steam coasters on the other, all bobbing gently in the surf. Each boat was painted a different bright color, which had been worn by the sun and wind and was flecked by paint chips and gull guano. Frohike pulled up to a stop at the steamer tied to the furthest-most berth on the end, a faded red Gulpie that reminded Scully of her father’s own barge, and she felt a small smile push into her cheeks.
“Your chariot, my lady,” Frohike said, giving her a wide smile. A man with stringy blond hair jumped up onto the deck and held out a hand to help her aboard, his arctic fox dæmon peering at them curiously. Scully ignored the man’s hand and tossed him her canvas rucksack instead, jumping easily down onto the bobbing deck with the confident expertise of a sailor’s daughter. Mulder, looking at her with impressed surprise, did so far less gracefully, and the blond man had to grab his arm to steady him when he almost fell in.
Frohike jumped down onto the deck with slightly more grace and hooked a thumb at the blond sailor.
“Langly,” he introduced him simply.
Frohike led them along the deck and into the small interior bridge. At the helm stood a man of average height, looking the part of a sailor with an oatmeal colored cable knit sweater, a long, warm looking navy peacoat and a woolen cap upon his head. He had a trim cinnamon colored beard and wide eyes, and his dæmon, a red squirrel, was perched on his shoulder.
“Captain Byers,” Frohike said, and the man turned to them, “this is Detective Inspector Scully and Detective Inspector Mulder.”
The captain reached out to shake their hands and his dæmon, whose name they would soon find out was Mia, nodded to Hendrick and Cass.
“Welcome aboard,” he said. “Would you mind showing them to their berth?” This he said to Frohike, who nodded and led them down the steps of a companionway next to the helm that led into the interior of the small ship.
To the stern, Frohike pointed out the small mess and engine room beyond it, from which a thin redheaded man was stepping through the hatch, wiping greasy hands on an already greasy rag. He had long hair and a red puffy down vest that had been patched with various colors of fabric. He startled a bit when he saw them but nodded at them with a smile when Frohike introduced them, his calico cat dæmon Ulle partially hiding behind his legs.
“Fenig,” Frohike said.
“Call me Max,” the man said, nodding one extra time and then quickly ducking back into the engine room.
Their guide turned to them then.
“Now,” Frohike began, putting his hands on his hips and looking at them with an odd air of unsure sternness, “this ship is small, but agile, and we’ll be needing that the further north we go when we get into the northern tributaries of the Snake River. But it only has two sleeping berths, one for the captain and one for the crew. Captain Byers has generously offered you the use of his berth,” to this he looked at Scully, “but I’m afraid there is only room for four hammocks with the crew.”
“You mean there’s nowhere for me to sleep?” Mulder asked jovially.
Scully glanced at Mulder and then in at the mess, wondering if there was perhaps a place she or Mulder could sleep, but it was it was a small, tight area with no room at all to lay prone much less prone with an also sleeping large-ish daemon, which they both had.
“The Captain’s cabin does have a bed big enough to share, if you’re comfortable with that, but it’s a small one,” Frohike went on dubiously. “We can maybe try to string up a hammock in the engine room – Fenig has offered – but it’s monstrously loud in there, and we’ll want a well-rested crew for the trip we have ahead of us. It’ll be an arduous one.”
Mulder looked to Scully with raised eyebrows. He was making this her call.
“My partner and I can share the Captain’s cabin,” she said, her stomach threatening butterflies, “it’s not a problem.”
Frohike nodded and showed them to the tiny room, the bunk barely big enough for two, with a small lower shelf where their daemons would be relatively comfortable, though they too would have to share the space.
“Cozy,” Mulder said, and Cassiana’s small round ears twitched.
“Is there anything you’ll be needing from the port before we shove off?” Frohike asked from the doorway.
“I guess we’d be able to answer that question better once we know what exactly you’ll be needing from us?” Mulder said, and Scully peered curiously at Frohike, eager to hear his answer.
The little man took a big breath.
“We think there’s a hidden witches’ settlement far to the north,” Frohike went on, “hidden by a spell of some kind, on an area of government land that they plan to mine. The Beking government has sent out three groups of their own inspectors, none of which have returned.”
“And they want us to…?”
“Investigate only,” Frohike said, “find out whatever you can. Which group, the name of their queen, which spells are being used upon the land. Your reputation for investigating odd and unusual things precedes you. The Beking will take the information you gather and implement a removal strategy, by which time you will be well on your way back to New Denmark.”
Scully looked to her partner, who shrugged.
“In that case,” he said, “we likely won’t need much other than our wits.”
Frohike nodded. “I’ll leave you to get settled in. We’ll be off with the tide.”

All the Youkaimatsus so far
JExcept sets that have all of them as the same youkais (Nekomata, Tanuki and the various Kitsune sets from Tabimatsu)
Pinup Poster from the Osomatsu Character Book #6 (July 2016)
Tumblr media
A classic. The very first iteration of Youkaimatsu. Kind of hard to find since it was a bonus poster from the character book, so unless you were actively looking for the book, you wouldn’t find this.
Osomatsu - Kitsune (unknown how many tails he has but is often depicted in fan artworks as 6 or 9, 9 meaning strongest/wisest a kitsune has been, Spirit Fox)
Karamatsu - Karasu-Tengu (pun on Kara, Bird Man)
Choromatsu - Dodomeki (usually a woman cursed with long arms littered with many bird eyes because of greed. Most popular one imo)
Ichimatsu + ESP Nyanko - Nekomata (Two-tailed cat, legend says that cats who live longer than a 100 years gain a second tail)
Jyushimatsu - Rokurobi (available in two flavors. Long Neck and Floating Head. He is the former. Theorized to not actually be a youkai but created for entertainment. Also used as a literary device for a wandering soul.)
Todomatsu - Yukki Onna (Also a joke on Todo being scared stiff. Yuki Onna pull tricks on humans that usually end on the person’s death via cold. Has a harsh and soft side)
Youkai Units from The Great Youkai War event from Hesokuri Wars (November 2016)
Tumblr media
Most popular Youkaimatsu set, this baby could get milked for miles, but for some reason isn’t. Has a lot of variants (Awakened, Darkness, Snow, Sakura and Hyakki Yagyou) and connected to a lot of other sets: Denki Mystery, Colorless Overalls, Mononoke and a bunch of others. She is the top DOGG set.
Osomatsu - Shuten-Douji (Oni Leader with a penchance for Sake, literally carrying a big ass bottle of it on his back, since he is the leader of the sextuplets and the one seen drinking beer the most)
Karamatsu - Aoandon (Summoned after 100 supernatural stories are told. Originated from the blue (ao) paper lanterns (andon) that were sometimes used to give a chilling atmosphere)
Choromatsu - Daitengu (Great Tengu, Tengus were theorized to be ascended souls, but also has its origins in a Dog Beast that looked like a comet. For some reason Dog Beast turned into Bird Man. The bird man’s beak is often anthropomorphized into long noses. Tells humanity to behave by throwing invisible stones at them)
Ichimatsu - Nine-tailed Kitsune (So wise. So powerful)
Jyushimatsu - Inugami (Dog God that possesses people)
Todomatsu - Bake-Danuki (also known as tanuki, mischievous spirits, mostly known in pop culture for their BIG FAT NUTS)
Dayon is a miko, a shrine maiden. Hatabou is an Onmyoji, an exorcist, Dekapan is a kannushi, a shrine priest. Totoko and Iyami are regular civillians
Youkai Hyakki Yagyou merchandise from Animate Girls Festival (September 2017)
Tumblr media
One of the lesser known sets, considering that it’s just designs for a line of merch but their designs are so good? Why don’t people use these designs more often.
Osomatsu - Karasu-Tengu
Karamatsu - Nine-tailed fox
Choromatsu - Shuten-Douji (A possible reference to Season 1 Episode 2 where he gets the most drunk?)
Ichimatsu - Mizuchi (Legendary Water Serpent/Dragon)
Jyushimatsu - Kamaitachi (Beast that rides on dust devils. Cuts people using it’s scythe-like nails. The wounds are sharp but painless)
Todomatsu - Ungaikyou (A haunted mirror that can be used to trap spirits. The spirits in the ungaikyou can manipulate the reflection shown on it’s reflection.)
Kitsune Servant Set from Tabimatsu (September 2017)
Tumblr media
Ok I know I said I wouldn’t cover the Kitsune sets from Tabimatsu since there are like 5 different Kitsune sets, but this one is noteworthy cause they have secondary Youkai traits other than the regular kitsune traits.
Osomatsu - Oni’s horns
Karamatsu - Tengu’s wings
Choromatsu - Orochi around his neck
Ichimatsu - True Kitsune (Or Nekomata’s paw?)
Jyushimatsu - Wanyudo (Flaming Wheel)
Todomatsu - I don’t know, but there’s something around his neck?
Japanese Youkai set from Shimamatsu (January 2018)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shimamatsu was such a good game, what a shame it ended so soon. The 3D models were so cute. Edit: The two designs are from before and after evolution!
Osomatsu - Enma-san (A wrathful god in charge of judging souls in the afterlife. Resides over hell)
Karamatsu - Yamato no Orochi (Eight headed and Eight-tailed serpent/dragon)
Choromatsu - Kamaitachi (wields an actual scythe)
Ichimatsu - Youkai Catman or a Bakaneko (Catboy, furry)
Jyushimatsu - Yobuko (lives in the mountains, repeats whatevers shouted into the mountain, explains the phenomemon of Echos)
Todomatsu - Yuki Otoko (Snowman, a Yuki Onna basically)
“Inn” Osoma and Choroe from Osomatsu Season 2 Episode 17
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A BUNCH OF PEOPLE REMINDED ME AND HOW COULD I FORGET THE BEST YOUKAI EVER. Osoma baby,,,, I’m so sorry..... Srsly, this skit was so good, I hope they make more skits like this where they make entirely new characters out of the framework of the sextuplets.
Osoma - A Zashiki-warashi, child spirits who live in store rooms or extra rooms, they died buried in their homes. Pranksters but meeting one is said to bring good fortunes to families. Osoma gets crossovered a lot with the other Youkai sets in JP fanart. A popular pairing is Dodomeki Chorosuke (from Denki Mystery) and Osoma also Kitsune Osomatsu (from the poster) and Osoma.
Choroe - Not necessarily a youkai, in fact in the episode she’s presented as just a regular human. But is theorized often to be a Yama-uba. An old woman banished to the mountains. She provides shelter to weary travelers (in the myth it’s just a humble shelter but you know. an inn is also considered a shelter) before eating them. In one story she eats the recently birthed baby of a woman who had to give birth in the mountains.
Mononoke from Hesokuri Wars (May 2019)
Tumblr media
Technically they are all the same type of being, Mononoke, but they look different from each other. Mononoke can posses individuals and cause suffereing and even death. And technically they aren’t Youkais but Onryos, vengeful spirits. But Onryos can also be used to refer to youkais and truthfully I just wanna include this set cause their designs are so cool looking. This set’s attacks contain glimpses of units of other sets.
Osomatsu - Bear themed
Karamatsu - Wolf themed
Choromatsu - Rooster/Chicken themed
Ichimatsu - Spider
Jyushimatsu - Boar
Todomatsu - Bull or Ox
Edo Rock The Great Youkai Harvest Festival from Tabimatsu (October 2019)
Tumblr media
This set is interesting cause rather than youkai alone, they are also musicians. This set also has another set like Hesokuri called The Great Youkai NEET which is basically the awakened versions, properly showcasing more of the youkai traits.
Tumblr media
Osomatsu - Shuten-Douji (Again, we need to stage an intervention for you damn)
Karamatsu - Karasu-Tengu (Again)
Choromatsu - Mizuchi (actually riding said serpent)
Ichimatsu - Black Kitsune (Hot Topic, Goth version)
Jyushimatsu - Frog. Just. Frog. (could be a reference to the legend of Jiraiya, the ninja who could shapeshift into a frog/ride big frogs. His mouth is cover just like a ninja is too.)
Todomatsu - Kamaitachi (could be a reference to season 1 where Todomatsu wields a scythe)
Iyami - Oni (not sure if he’s any particular oni but he does have the horns and metal club)
Atsushi - Ibaraki-Douji? (White hair and singular horn, most imporant servant of Shuten-Douji)
Promo Merch from Sega Cafe collab (September 2020)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Edit: Thank you @zenryokubatankyu for notifying me! Another set of promo youkais! You can get them by random by ordering a drink or meal at the now-defunct Sega x Osomatsu collab cafe. And the return of F6? Damn I haven’t seen you since Season 2!
Osomatsu - Oni
Karamatsu - I’m not exactly sure but he seems like a Mizuchi, a water serpent/dragon. He also could be another legendary serpent/dragon though.
Choromatsu - Kappa
Ichimatsu + ESP Nyanko - Karasu-Tengu
Jyushimatsu - I’m not sure, at first i thought it might be a crab youkai judging from the legs, but upon closer inspection he has spider webs on his robes, so they may be spider legs instead. Could be a Jorogumo, a youkai that wields fire breathing spiders with it’s spider legs
Todomatsu - Bakaneko (I think? The veil could be the napkin a bakaneko puts on it’s head)
Ayakashi Sextuplet’s Retro Halloween Cafe merch from Web Kuji (October 2020)
Tumblr media
Thank you @gradelstuff for telling me about this! Ayakashi are Youkai that appear above nearby bodies of water. Although the youkais they’re dressed up as (or are?) aren’t really what you would call ayakashi? Although it’s cafe themed, it isn’t actually from a cafe collaboration. These designs are merchandise meant to be won through lottery. So if say you really love Kara and Choro’s designs (I do), then tough luck buddy!
Osomatsu - Oni
Karamatsu - Now you may think he’s Dodomeki since he’s covered with eyes, but turns out there are two other eye-relateed youkai! Mokumokuren is a youkai phenomenon where eyes appear from torn paper walls and tatami floors, initially i thought this was it given the checkered pattern he was wearing. But he might actually be a Hyakume, a youkai covered head to toe in yellow eyes specifically. Underneath those eyes is a body of flesh roughly in the shape of a man. This Youkai isn’t particularly malicious, only detaching one of it’s many eyes to follow you and survey you for criminal activiy. He might also be a BackBeard, a youkai allegedly from the US, err that would make him a cryptid I guess? A Backbeard is often characterized as a shadow with a Yellow eye with a red iris in the center. Note: Backbeard’s true origins are not known as there doesn’t seem to be any cryprid called a Backbeard, it first entered the Japanese public eye as an antogonist in the show Gegege no Kitaro. Although ever since then this “yokai” has appeared in other media and games in Japan.
Choromatsu - He isn’t exactly dressed as it (only themed as it) but the youkai he represents is the one he’s holding, a Kasa-obake, One of my favorite youkais and it’s literally iconic. Thought to be a Tsukomogami, an object that gains a spirit after it turns 100 years old.
Ichimatsu - Edit: I’m not sure but he might be a Kuchisake-Onna. In the description attached to his teaser, it makes mention of specifically his wide smile, his dos dagger and his beautiful shirt. A kuchisake onna is a yokai that wanders in the street covering her face with a mask (skull mask for ichi) and a sharp object (his dos dagger). TW GORE DESCRIPTION: She asks you if you think she’s attractive and depending on your answer she muders you with her scissors, plunging it into you OR she takes off her mask showing her wide smile, her mouth slit at the corners to her ears and asks “how about now?” and depending on your reaction she cuts you in half with her sharp object OR she slits the corners of your mouth to look like hers. END DESCRIPTION. Ichi has the mask, sharp object, wide smile and “attractiveness”. Obviously it would be inappropriate to portray ichi in the same fashion as the kuchisake onna so he was probably given the internal organ tattoos to represent the gory yokai. (internal organs usually = gore in japan). This is speculah and he might be another youkai but this is all i can think of rn.
Jyushimatsu - sailor themed Jiangshi. Jiangshi are basically Zombies originally from Chinese culture. They hop around, and crave for life force. this little jyushimatsu has taken to tomato juice instead. (Bonus: the zombie that osomatsu is in the zombie set in hesokuri wars is also a Jiangshi)
Todomatsu - Kitsune (sly fox)
“The Night Path” Youkai from Osomatsu-san Season 3 Episode 6 (November 2020)
Tumblr media
The latest and what sparked me to make this post tbh. This set reuses the Rokurobi design from the very first Youkaimatsu iteration! Full circle yo! I like to think of this set as an addition to the original youkaimatsu, since they’re both from the primary sources.
Jyushimatsu - Rokurobi (Again)
Totoko - Amabie (mermaid with three legs? prophesized about either good harvest or an epidemic, trivia: “Amabie” trended when Covid 19 hit the world)
Hatabou - Azukiarai (a youkai that originated from the sound of something like beans being washed near a river, anyone who comes near will fall into the river)
Dayon - Nopperabou (Faceless spirits that take the form of humans. They are harmless usually, they just scare humans)
Dekapan - Kappa (Mischievous River spirits)
That should be all of them!
Recap:
Osomatsu has been a Kitsune, Shuten-Douji (twice), Karasu-Tengu, Enma-san and an Oni
Karamatsu has been a Karasu-Tengu (twice), Aoandon, Kitsune, Yamato no Orochi and a Mizuchi (?)
Choromatsu has been a Dodomeki, Daitengu, Shuten-Douji, Kamaitachi, Mizuki and a Kappa (No repeats!)
Ichimatsu has been a Nekomata, Kitsune (twice), Mizuchi, Bakaneko and a Karasu-Tengu
Jyushimatsu has been a Rokurobi (twice-ish), Inugami, Kamaitachi, Yobuko, a Frog from Jiraiya and a Jorogumo (?)
Todomatsu has been a Yuki Onna (twice), Bake-danuki, Ungaikyou, Kamaitachi and a Bakaneko
You can definitely see a trend (lmao), I’m looking forward to more Youkaimatsus from Osomatsu-san!
bonus:
Osomatsu-san cameo from Yokai Watch!!!

Do you have headcanons about the flora and fauna of Himring? or any feanorians realm?
Note: in the Himring tag I now have multiple posts elaborating
Flora and fauna of Arda masterlist
More headcanons
To be updated soon
Disclaimer: I used both what we can extrapolate is likely indigenous to the region based on descriptions of the landscape and climate as well as my own headcanons and inspirations and reference books on similar habitats as well as The Atlas of Middle Earth and The Flora of Middle Earth
I really love working on and researching these! and as always feel free to ask more, even if I’ve already done a place I’d always enjoy going into more detail of tacking a more specific kind of life there
The March of Maedhros was a realm in East Beleriand that fell between Dorthonion and the Blue Mountains and was next to Maglor's Gap. It was primarily hills and plains in a cold, possibly taiga region. The fortress of Himring was the stronghold of Maedhros on one of the more prominent hills
The Flora and fauna of the March of Maedhros and around Himring is hardy and adapted to a cold, harsh climate.
Flora around the lake or lakes could include species of Myriophyllum, marsh thistle, hornwort, Sphagnum Moss, feather moss, bog rosemary, partridgeberry, reindeer lichen, ground elder, sword-leaf dogbane, bog sedge, spring vetch, white spruce, cloudberry, cowslip, dwarf cherry, and a variety of species of heath, iris (yellow dwarf iris, Iris relicta, etc), and fern (oblong woodsia, leathery moonwort, spinulose woodfern, etc)
Of course many of these plants would have a relatively short season as the winters are long and the cold weather is even longer. I go into a bit more about my headcanons about the climate here
I’ve always imagined snow leopards around Himring. @houndsofvalinor-art did an absolutely gorgeous piece based on my headcanons for that! It’s the one in my blog background/header!
I imagine a location or locations similar to Lake Baikal in Siberia, which is home the world’s only completely freshwater seal as well as cnidarian species that are not found anywhere else in the world. The seals in Himring’s near frozen lake are abundant but are rarely slain. They are near inedible though their fat is highly useful for oils and their skins are occasionally used as well.
Birds are often migratory, spending only certain months of the year in the area (though not all). Some possibilities are snowy owls, ptarmigans including rock, willow, and white tailed ptarmigans, tundra swans, snowy buntings, larkspurs, plovers, and species of goose and loons.
Other animals include the sable, stoat, red and arctic foxes, marmots, elk and reindeer, mountain hare, mountain goats, arctic wolves, and I like to imagine smaller species of mammoths or woolly rhinos trek through the March on their search for fresh grass and vegetation.
I hope this is ok, @ladyofthestarlight ! If you have more questions or want me to go into more detail in a specific category (ferns or birds for example) let me know!

Going To Disneyland With The Slashers Headcanons
Requested by anon!
Charles Lee Ray/Chucky:
In human form, Charles fucking hates it. He barely even tolerates it for you.
In doll form, Chucky loves it. Free food and souvenirs, and he doesn’t have to pay to get in (”Why would I pay $200 of our hard earned money to go sing with woodland animals?” was always his argument). He can sneak onto rides, he can hide and pose as an animatronic. He laughs every time he makes a child point and cry.
Beetlejuice
Knows literally everyone in the Haunted Mansion. “Ghostie Hostie! It’s me, ya boy!” Everybody thinks he works there. He pretends he does so he can lead them off to weird places of the park when all they wanted was a dole whip. Haha. That wasn’t funny Beej, that kid is crying now.
Jack Torrance
He tolerates it, but if it makes his girl happy, he’ll pretend he’s having a good time. He just won’t go on It’s A Small World. Anything. But. That. After a while though, he can’t take all the screaming little brats, and hangs around the Tower of Terror. Come to think of it, he’s still there... wait-- is that a black and white picture of him with the guests in the lobby?!
Tiffany Valentine
Is a huge fan of exciting rides, and is obsessed with everything Minnie Mouse. Will take a billion photos with you in front of the castle, and squeal every time she sees a princess. Her favourite ride is Snow White’s Scary Adventure-- a perfect mix of princesses and spooks!
Michael Myers (2007 or 1978)
Doesn’t really understand the hype. He spends half an hour admiring the pumpkins on the Haunted Mansion lawn having an existential crisis. He will hold your hand and take all your pictures for you if you ask him. You have to watch him like a child, because he’ll keep wandering back to stare at the pumpkins. Oh shit, look out! Loomis is in the doom buggy behind you two shouting about evil in the park.
Otis Driftwood
Complains aaallll day, grumbles, mopes, etc, but secretly, it’s making him pretty happy. Kind of. He didn’t get shit like this in his childhood, so it’s sort of therapeutic. If any character tries to talk to him, he flips them off. This almost gets you thrown out eight times. He likes Splash Mountain, and cheers (too loudly) for Br’er Fox to “kill that hip hopping little fucker before I do!” And why does he keep yelling "RUN RABBIT RUN!" at Br'er Rabbit??? Shut up, Otis. Please shut up.
Baby Firefly
Is having the time of her life, but has absolutely no regard for park rules. “What do you m e a n I can’t take my top off on pirates of the Caribbean, it was WET!” Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters is her favourite ride, because you get to shoot stuff. Pew pew.
Captain Spaulding
Kind of loves it?? Also he’s having a really great time terrorizing the children who keep coming up to him and asking him if he’s a real clown. “Heya kid! Go find your mama and tell her I said to go fuck herself! HAHA!” Disney tries to hire him as an entertainer, he tells them he wants a million dollars for it. Oh, he also really likes the Blue Bayou restaurant. Says their menu needs more fried chicken. Is thrown out.
Doomhead
Doesn’t want to be there. Would literally rather be dead. He doesn’t have time for this shit, especially when he should be preparing for the next 31. W h y did you bring him?
Stu Macher
Pretends he thinks it’s stupid at first to look cool, but is actually a little kid again. He holds your hand and drags you to his favourite ride, California Screaming, which he makes you ride 10 times in a row. All around, you’re incredibly dizzy by nighttime, but Stu’s excitement is worth it. It reminds him of happy times when he was a kid, before his parents divorced.
Billy Loomis
The perfect date. You two take pictures together, get Mickey and Minnie shirts, hold hands on all the rides. Billy likes going to some of the live shows too. Will do something cute, like ask the Dapper Dans to sing a romantic song for you two while you share a Matterhorn Sundae at the Carnation Cafe.
Killer Klowns From Outer Space
It’s a theme park, so they’re happy to be happy with you there! :))) They like the  Ferris Wheel the best, and practically empty out Gibson Girl’s ice cream supply. Oops. The cast member just went screaming cause Shorty jumped over the counter to grab some more. Oh no-- Slim just threw a waffle at Rudy. Security’s coming. Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Art the Clown
Loves It’s A Small World. You know why. He wants to chop off all the heads and hang them from strings, then fill the water with blood. You know what goes on inside that head. You know.
Pennywise (1990)
Gets annoyed with the children very quickly, and tries to munch quite a few. You have to watch him very closely, or there’s a fat chance the SWAT team will be called. You’ve explained that you’re at a very famous theme park, and can’t eat any children. Papawise clearly doesn’t give a fuck.
Pennywise (2017)
Realizes this is a big theme park and is basically a buffet, but understands after you explain that he can’t eat anyone in a place this public. He then moves on to taste testing literally everything in the park, because he’s hungry dammit, and the rides make his molecules float so he doesn’t like them. His favourite restaurant is Ariel’s Grotto.
Freddy Krueger
Thinks this is very dumb, but likes Sleeping Beauty’s castle. Heh. Heh heh.
Jason Voorhees
Much like Michael, Jason doesn’t really understand the hype around the park, and doesn’t know the characters, so he just gets his pleasure from watching you and the magic in your eyes. He thinks it’s adorable and will never get tired of it. Will hold your hand. Make sure his mask is on tight, cause he almost lost it on Space Mountain and had a fucking field day.
Bubba Sawyer
You made him watch a whole bunch of Disney movies before going, so he knows everything about everyone. He gets very excited about his favourite characters he sees walking around (he’s partial to Alice in Wonderland) but is too shy to meet them unless you walk up with him. He’ll also give you piggy back rides when your feet get tired! Don’t take him to the Tiki Room, loud noises upset him.
Chop Top
Is having the time of his LIFE. You will have to DRAG him from the park at the end of the day. He runs up to characters and asks them a bazillion questions that are sooo fucking hard to answer, sorry you have to deal with this nastyboi asking what your hair growth routine is today Rapunzel, but god is he excited. He wants to hit every ride, but gets lost trying to get there. He also buys a very nice pair of mickey ears to hide his plate. Don’t ask him to ever take them off, he won’t.

In this life I will know passion.
I will be poised and ready for it,
utterly and truly engulfed with the desire to be someone,
to create something.
In this life I will be wounded,
and angry,
and sad and scared and bursting at the seams with untapped energy.
In this life I will yearn,
maybe for something better,
maybe for something more dangerous,
but regardless,
I will be passionate.
I will scorn and be scorned,
living life the way I want to even if it hurts,
even if it tears at my skin,
ripping up parts of me that shouldn’t exist in the first place.
     But,
I think that in my next life,
I could become a bumblebee,
so fat and happy and so,
so ardently in love with everything I see.
Buzzing and buzzing and buzzing until I just can’t take it anymore,
and my pitiful little wings finally give out.
In my next life I want to be forced to take a nap in a blooming flower,
just barely big enough to hold me,
cradled like an infant’s head between the palms of her mother,
safe and warm and so,
so secure,
nestled in the sweet embrace of the earth.
Maybe an excited child will give me sugar water that’s more sugar than it is water,
when he finds me,
dozing and dying and dusted in pollen,
because he learned about it in science class and he wants to be good,
so,
so good.
In my next life,
maybe he will help me,
because I’m too tired and too weak do anything but flutter,
and it’s so,
so hot out here in this bright and blazing world,
filled with undiscovered wonders just beyond my achingly limited reach.
In my next life,
I will want him to think that he saved me with his sugar water,
more sugar than water
even as I lay dying,
and I will want him to think that my absence in the flower bud the next day is his doing,
because he did everything right.
     Or maybe,
in my next life,
I will be a fox that dies while chasing a rabbit;
or a snow lion that desperately climbs the tallest mountains in search of food;
or a sheep sheared just a little too close;
or a goat that screams in the night,
stillborn babies at her feet;
or a fish with too many colors to live long enough for glory.
I could be a dog,
or a cow,
or a lizard or a snake.
I could be a cat,
or a horse,
or an elephant,
covered in gold and jewels and celebrated just for being alive,
hunted for greed and a little bit of ivory.
Or maybe I could be a bird,
bright and loud and mean,
with a wingspan fit for a god,
soaring just beneath the clouds.
     Or,
maybe,
just maybe,
in my next life,
I could be me again and get it right this time.
In my next life,
maybe I could stop hurting so much,
and maybe I could be kinder.
In my next life I could wash babies,
massage gentle soaps into their soft,
bruisable skin with more tenderness than I should be allowed.
Maybe I could hold them to my breast,
naked and squirming and trusting because they have to be,
because they rely on me to keep them safe,
and fed and loved,
so they can hear my heartbeat,
warm and protected in the arms of a glowing saint.
Maybe in my next life I will remember to the end,
not forgetting that I loved,
who I loved,
why and when and how I loved,
how I ached and burned.
Maybe in my next life I will get to see you again,
and maybe I will get to experience that passion that I wanted so,
so badly,
when you run your fingers down my face and press kisses into my hairline.
Maybe in my next life I will get to yearn,
and maybe I will get to be sad,
and angry,
and full of so much excitement for being alive that it will be hard to breathe sometimes.
Maybe I will be dangerous,
and happy,
and better,
and maybe I will realize that everything I have is exactly what I need,
and then maybe,
just maybe,
I won’t suffer quite so much,
or quite so intensely.
In my next life,
maybe I will learn how to love and be loved,
utterly,
truly,
ardently,
and maybe I will learn to understand more about what should and should not be in this mess of a universe.
     Maybe,
in my next life,
I will be a bumblebee,
or a dog or a horse or a cow,
or an elephant decorated in more ways than one,
or a bird that can’t seem to fly high enough.
Or maybe I will be a goat that screams or a fox that dies,
or a snake,
or a lizard,
or a sheep sheared a little too close,
or a snow lion in search of something,
anything,
to fill her belly.
Or maybe I will be a cat,
or a colorful fish doomed at birth to be eaten by something much bigger than her.
Or maybe,
and this one is my favorite,
I will get to be me again,
as I am now,
except that this time I will understand what happiness is when I find it,
and I will not let it go.
