Simple everyday devotions you can do for Mother Aphrodite
#1: Eat food that she likes, for example, Chocolate, pastries, strawberries, apples, and raspberries!
#2: Take a bath or shower. Even something as simple as cleaning yourself can be devotional!
#3: Make/listen to a playlist devoted to her!
#4: Wear devotional jewelry. All you have to do is say, hey, this necklace is devoted to you, and Bam!
#5: Sing a hymn! This goes for any deity, singing hymns is an easy way to pray and connect. And it doesn't matter if you have a good singing voice or not!!
#6: Show affection to other people!
#7: Make a poem inspired by her!
#8: Devote your outfit to her, you badass babe, that outfit looks amazing on you!
#9: Paint your nails!
#10: Say hello to her when you pass by the ocean, one of her animals, or just something that reminds you of her!
Khairete, lovelies!

Hell, the vast majority of ancient Greek characters are bastards and they all did good things sometimes too.
Mortals and demigods have a short life, but it is people who come up with and improve such a concept as “moral values”, yes, we constantly screw up, but still.
In the context of PJO, every notation from the gods about what kind of asshole heroes are, such rage boils inside me that you know, I really understand Luke and those who joined him. Real human revolutions were also built on blood, y'know (I don't mean it's good, that just the way it works).
This world is not black and white. Even fictional stories are more interesting the more gray the story.

Might repaint this since the arm is a little meh in my opinion. This is my first time working with realistic-ish anatomy and a darker tone, along with painting and rendering with procreate. I’m very open to criticism!
(Please help drawing this hand took a fucking hour)

I’m taking pottery lessons right now… and my teacher said “the kiln gods are being kind to me right now.” And that made me stop and think. Is there a god of pottery? I tried to look it up but it’s hazy.
In Ancient Greece, Athena was apparently the goddess of crafts, which is a bit vague. Hephaestus was the god of sculpting, but that’s not right either.
In Ancient Egypt, I found Khnum who made the other gods and humankind on his potter’s wheel.
I found two other gods of pottery in cultures I don’t know: Lianaotabi and Panthoibi.
But I wasn’t able to find anyone else. Pottery being such an important part of daily life all around the world, it seems like there would be more. Does anyone know of any other gods of pottery?
Edited: removed incorrect/inaccurate descriptor for Lianaotabi and Panthoibi peoples. Apologies, I found them through a random google search for “pottery gods.”

“I thought this city didn’t have any gods.”
The pigeon grinned a beak full of dog’s teeth. “Ha. They say there aren’t. They even kept most of them out for a while.”
“How did you make it?”
“By being smart. By hiding.”
She gave the one-legged, feral feathered thing a sideways look. “As a pigeon?”
“Sometimes,” said the pigeon. “Sometimes I’m graffiti on a wall. Sometimes I’m a coin dropped in a beggar’s hand. I am neon at night, the rain in the light. I am the song the busker sings. I listen to the prayers of those who come to the city with big dreams.”
“And in return?”
It grinned again. Steam rolled off its feathers, smelling of cigarettes. “I eat their despair.”
“That’s cruel.”
It moved its wings in something like a shrug. “That’s the big city for you.”

i was up wide awake at 1:30AM, with a throbbing headache and a final the very next morning at 9 along with the need to be up at 6--a small prayer to Lord Hypnos and quite literally in the middle of it, my eyes start to get lethargic. and i'm asleep in a minute.
i'm not even sure i properly finished the prayer but, i'm so grateful to be able to get sleep and write my exam afterwards.
praise the Kindly Lord Hypnos.
once again, i am in debt to you. thank you, my lord, truly.
