i have this hc about murahimu with kiyoniji that's centered around mukkun's character exploration. Nijimura is Himuro's ex who now dated Kiyoshi when he came to the US to get treatment. Every time murahimu visits and Himuro asks Nijimura to hang out with them, he'd bring Kiyoshi.
Murasakibara got this inner turmoil that he never disliked Nijimura before and was indifferent toward his ex-captain;; all this time only ever listened to Akashi.
He got so pissed that Himuro still calls him Shuu but he wants Himuro to trust him and he knows that there was nothing between them anymore.
He's even more pissed knowing Kiyoshi befriended Himuro so easily. Mukkun learns so much after dating Himuro. He learns that he can't get special treatment despite Himuro's way of bribing him with food. When it comes to other things, other real life and social life things, he can't tie Himuro, and Himuro doesn't want to humor him with further bribing.
He learns that just because he doesn't like someone, he can't make Himuro feel the same way, and just because he doesn't like that person, it's not justified to be a dick esp knowing Kiyoshi or Nijimura never done anything wrong to him.
("I lost to Kiyoshi! That's enough reason to hate him!"
"Atsushi, I was there too. We lost to him but is that really a reason to not visit him at the hospital? He moves from another country by himself and he needs all the emotional support he can get.")
Now that Himuro is there, Nijimura feels like he can go back to how things are, playing basketball. He can play with the guys from the neighborhood court but he knows it doesn't feel the same. During his move to L.A. Nijimura was at his lowest, with no certainty if his dad will survive or not. Aside from being his ex, Himuro was also his best friend.
Murasakibara decides an ex-captain or not, he doesn't care because he only wants Himuro to himself. It's not the first time he turns a friend into a foe and even though it feels awful and it feels alienating, he just doesn't care. But it's even harder to tell Himuro how he really feels about Nijimura because Himuro knows their past and assumes Atsushi won't have any ill feelings. The best way he can do is to distance himself. Of course, this saddens Himuro.
Kiyoshi being the first to realize and tries to give Murasakibara the talk but ofc Atsushi resists so he has to physically corner him or bribe him with food or something. In the end, murahimu talk.
Maybe Atsushi 'tolerates' Teppei a lil bit now.

Next on Choatic Fanfic Recommendations
Do you like multiple ships in one fic? Do you like anime boys living their lifes after the anime is over? Do you like dumb basketball boys not understanding love/emotions?
Then, hypebeayst's 'I need you (to come get me)' is the fanfic for you.
This is Kuroko no Basket multiship fanfiction that takes place a few years after the anime. The characters are not much older, so they still the no brain basketball we all know and love.
This have KagaKuro, Midotaka, KiseKasa, and MuraMuro in all in established relationships. How they are dealing with having a long distance relationship and the struggles that come with it. Like any long distance relationship, there is some angst, but in the end it all works itself out to get beautiful fluff.
This is a good fic to read if you think, 'man this basketball boys are really gay and they should be friends who talk about how gay they are with each other'. It has a good wholesome feel, while also having more real world struggles that grounds in reality because you feel sympathy with this character. All in all a good read, that wouldn't take long and make your insides feel good after consuming it, like chicken noodle soup.
This is currently sitting at 5,804 words, 42 kudos, 7 bookmarks and 664 hits
The note I left was: These boys are doing there best because they have so much love for their partners

WILL U CONTINUE THE PRISON AU???? CAN I SEE MORE OF MURAHIMU??
Y Block has a unique relationship with the prison guards. Or rather, it has a paradoxical relationship with the guards and no one was entirely sure how it manages to function.
The paradox comes from the "Double Kings." Everyone knows that of all the so-called Kings of the Block, the guards hate Murasakibara the most. Murasakibara is the one that scares them the most, so they hate him the most. And they have a reason to be scared-- rumor is Murasakibara has killed more guards than any other inmate. He's certainly taller than any of the guards, and stronger, and harder to kill, if rumors are correct. (And Himuro puts a lot of faith in rumors-- they say the guards have done everything they can to get rid of Murasakibara, including bribing fellow inmates. Himuro knows that's true because after a month, they tried to bribe him to kill his cellmate, and that was a mistake the guards only made once.)
But then there's Himuro, who the guards like the best, if they could be said to "like" anyone. It takes Himuro just two weeks to get a measure of everyone in the prison, and by then his underground poker rings are up and running and include a fair amount of the guards on duty. Himuro has a way of acquiring things-- things even the guards have a hard time getting-- and that makes him a necessary favorite.
Usually, it's not a good thing to be the person the guards like. But, Himuro finds, it's always good to be the supplier. Goods or information, Himuro makes sure he has what others need. And, fortunately, it's also good to be the person Murasakibara likes.
"I need more pocky, Murochin," Muraskaibara says.
"I can get you more in three days," Himuro says.
Murasakibara makes a small grunting sound, like this longer than he'd like but still acceptable. Then he says, "I also need a gun."
This causes Himuro to pause. "You do?" he queries, since Murasakibara isn't known as someone who used guns even when he was out. They called him “the Crusher King” for a reason, after all.
"Not for me. But I need one," Murasakibara says.
The other "Kings" must be planning something. Himuro knows that while Y Block accepts him as a "Double King," the other Blocks only acknowledge Murasakibara. The bond the five Kings have is a very strange thing.
"That might take me a bit longer," Himuro says carefully. "But I can probably do it. For you, Atsushi, I'd do anything."
Murasakibara doesn't acknowledge that comment. Then, abruptly, like it just occurs to him, he says, "What would Murochin want?"
"Want?"
"If you could get anything. What would you want."
"I can get anything," Himuro points out. But Murasakibara just continues to stare at him. Softly, Himuro says, "What do any of us want, Atsushi? I want the impossible, same as everyone else."
Murasakibara nods. "Yeah."
"Do you?" Himuro asks, because he's never once heard Mursakibara talk about life outside this prison that shouldn't exist.
"You make me want the impossible," Murasakibara says. "I hate that about you."
That's the closest Murasakibara has ever come to a love confession. Himuro decides he'll get the gun as quickly as he can.
A/N: Wooo Prison AU is like this thing I don’t really plan on continuing, but then I continue it. Thanks for the prompt, anon-friend! I’m glad you enjoy the AU =)

The price to be paid (MuraMuro)
also available on ao3 :)
Murasakibara was sitting on a bench, staring sadly at the bag of chips he had been about to open. Himuro was standing in front of him, a hand on his hip, waiting patiently for the younger to make a decision. He seemed to hesitate a while, glancing down at the bag full of junk food he had just bought. He finally sighed, putting his bag down and stood up, taking the basketball that Himuro gave him, smiling.
If this was the price he had to pay for his boyfriend to be happy, he could wait a few minutes before eating.

Kurobas Vday Challenge Day 3 - MuraMuro
Hey hey hey! This time is the turn of MuraMuro, which is one of the hardest pairings for me to write. But I love them too much not to write something about them XD
----
Contrary to popular belief, Himuro Tatsuya did not enjoy being called beautiful. He did when he was younger and more arrogant. When the obvious superiority of his acclaimed brother in the sport he loved so much was so frustrating that he was constantly searching for other way of validation. His looks were the easy option because everyone who ever saw him for the first time always said the same.
Wow, you’re so handsome.
Himuro-kun is the most gorgeous man I’ve ever seen.
That mole is so sexy.
However, it got boring after as the praising could not cover the void of skill he felt between himself and the rest of the players. So now the mere comment of his appearance made him turn down whoever approached him. Was it too much to ask for someone who would look at him at himself and not just a pretty face?
Not even him expected that person to be Murasakibara Atsushi.
Because when he met he giant purple man he only saw another genius who did not need to do anything to excel. The same one who took everything for granted but at that moment Himuro decided this time he was going to use it for himself. So he befriended Murasakibara because he was his teammate and that meant if he won he would win too, right? But then Murasakibara happened to be actual good company and Himuro saw himself spending more and more time with him. Because he might be lazy but what people usually did not see in him was his inherited kindness.
So far Himuro had seen Murasakibara give his precious candy to a kid whose ice cream had fallen on the floor. He always helped the old librarian putting the books on the top shelves. Also, Himuro was pretty sure it was him the one who watered the plans next to the court. And he never once called him beautiful.
Which did not mean he did not show his affections in other ways. Contrary to popular belief, it was Murasakibara the first one who kissed him. After all, he was too scared of ruining their friendship to do something until the purple giant decided “waiting was boring, Muro-chin”. So right at that moment, after a million dates and two years together, Himuro felt the sudden need to say it.
“You’re beautiful, you know that?” he said to Murasakibara.
“Muro-chin is saying weird things again.”
“But it’s true, you are. I know I don’t say it much, but for me you are the most beautiful person in the world, Atsushi.”
Murasakibara closed the space between them, his tongue licking the trace of sweets on his mouth leaving Himuro breathless.
“And Muro-chin is the most delicious candy.”
Himuro had never received a better compliment.

Would you write more MidoTaka or Muramuro in your KNB shapeshifter au? I feel like these couples have been a bit neglected lately
Himuro thinks about his time in American, and mostly remembers loneliness. (And basketball. But mostly loneliness.)
There aren’t a lot of bear shifters in the world-- that’s just a fact. And they usually prefer forest regions, not cities. Himuro isn’t sure why his dad moved to Los Angeles, but it meant Himuro grew up without ever knowing another bear shifter who wasn’t related to him.
When he moved back to Japan, he sought out Yosen for a reason. Joining the basketball club feels like a homecoming. It’s almost dizzying to be surrounded by his own kind.
But Murasakibara.
*
Murasakibara doesn’t make sense. Murasakibara hits every single stereotype for bear shifters-- tall, muscled, attracted to sweet things, oversleeper, lazy, scary when angry. It’s as if he was picking characteristics for bear shifters off a list, and decided to choose “all of the above.”
Except, of course, for the part where he doesn’t shift into a bear.
*
He smells the wolf first, of course. But it takes him a bit to realize that the wolf is Murasakibara, and not just lingering wolf-scent on Murasakibara. It surprises Himuro so much that he almost trips on the basketball court.
Then he decides to avoid Murasaibara. He came to Yosen to get away from other shifters. And Murasakibara reminds Himuro a little of Kagami-- naturally gifted with raw talent. Himuro doesn’t need more of that in his life.
So, other than basketball, he doesn’t need to interact with Murasakibara at all. No reason to-- Murasakibara is in another year. They don’t need to know each other at all.
*
Except Murasakibara is always there. In the hallways, nearby during lunch and breaks, during basketball practice. Even when Himuro can’t see Murasakibara, he can smell him, and he’s not sure what to do with the fact that he has a giant purple shadow following him everywhere.
“Don’t look at me,” Fukui says, when Himuro broaches the subject with him. “He doesn’t follow anyone else.”
Finally, the only thing he can do is confront him. “Have I angered you in some way?”
Murasakibara blinks slowly at him, like he wasn’t expecting Himuro to actually talk to him and doesn’t know what to do with the fact that it’s happening. “No.”
Himuro waits to see if there’s any follow-up. When there isn’t, he says, “Then is there something you need from me?”
This draws out a long reflection, before Murasakibara says, “No. Not really.”
“Alright then,” Himuro says, keeping his voice pleasant. He wants to ask, Then why are you following me everywhere, but irrationally he feels like he’d lose if he did. So instead, he asks, “Why did you choose Yosen? There aren’t a lot of wolf shifters here.”
“That’s why,” Murasakibara says. Himuro frowns, feeling like Murasakibara didn’t respond, so Murasakibara just sighs dramatically. “I was tired of being around other wolves. Here’s as good a place as any.”
It’s so completely the opposite of Himuro’s experience, that Himuro doesn’t know what to do with that. Moreover, it’s the opposite of what Himuro knows about wolves. Wolves are pack animals-- they’re supposed to like being around their own kind.
“Sorry, I don’t really understand,” Himuro says, smiling. “But if you need anything, just let me know. I can’t help but notice you around.”
“You smell nice.”
Himuro isn't sure he heard right. “What?”
But Murasakibara is already walking away.
A/N:     I don’t get to write MidoTaka or MuroMura as much, and since I realized I technically don’t have any MuraMuro (from their perspective) in Company of Wolves, I went with them! Thanks for the prompt, anon-friend =D

Not So Fake
A birthday gift for @amakatarei! <3
Himuro was sick and tired of this.
It happened with every girl that came up to him, every doe-eyed, blushing, stuttering girl who thought that they could do what no girl could and win him over. He’d step back, politely take whatever chocolate or gift they held, and try to be as gentle as possible when telling them he wasn’t interested, especially on Valentine’s day. He knew he wouldn’t even touch the bags filled with chocolate.
In this sort of environment, he couldn’t just tell them that he wasn’t straight or he might meet resistance, and if he’d learned something here, it was to get along with as many people as possible. It was things like this that made him miss America.
The girl this time was seriously getting on his nerves. It was almost pathetic how pushy and not-so-subtle she was, smoothing down her skirt, fluttering lashes, even squeezing her arms slightly together to accentuate her breasts. If only she knew how sickening it was to him.
“But…” Her eyes blinked, starting to well up with tears. “Are you sure…? I thought we had a moment there in math class when you picked up my papers for me.”
And suddenly he was done. He’d never asked for this, and to hell with societal norms. “Look. I said I’m not interested, and I never will be. If you must know, I’m seeing a guy.” There, it was out. She could judge him as she willed, shun him maybe, but he didn’t care at this point. “Good day,” he continued, and turned, briskly walking around the building and off campus. It was only when he’d cleared the gates that he broke into a run.
There was really only one place to go, one person to talk to, if he wanted an end to it all.
Finding Atsushi in his house was more than normal at this point; it was expected. He noted the abnormally large pair of shoes in the entryway and let out a breath of relief as he hung up his scarf and coat.
“Atsushi?” he called into the house. His parents wouldn’t be home until late, as usual, so he didn’t bother keeping his voice down, especially since he needed to talk to Atsushi urgently.
He was rewarded with the sight of Atsushi slumped over the coffee table, working through some sort of homework. Hurrying over, he put both hands on the table in front of him, forcing him to look up. Himuro didn’t know what he looked like in that moment, but it was enough to make Atsushi’s eyes widen a little.
There was no beating around the bush to be had. He knew Atsushi hated it when he did that anyway. “Atsushi, I need you to pretend to be my boyfriend.”
He didn’t know what he expected - a flat out refusal, a discomfited, strange look maybe, but he was immensely relieved when he didn’t get much other than just a question.
“Why?”
“This is why,” he said, reaching behind him for the bags of chocolate. He set them down on the table and continued, “If I get another of these, I will probably go crazy. And today I told the girl - I told her I was seeing a guy.”
The taller one’s face relaxed a little, and suddenly Himuro couldn’t read it. It startled him - he was so used to being able to read Atsushi, but this time there was nothing. Had he said something wrong?
But after a moment, Atsushi shrugged and turned back to his homework. “Sure,” was all he said, penciling in an answer.
Himuro breathed another sigh of relief and opened his backpack, pulling out his own study materials. He situated himself as he normally did, next to Atsushi with his homework and textbooks in neat stacks around him.
“I’m sorry,” he went on. “You were the first person I thought of, and we spend so much time together anyway… Well, I’ll figure it out. Thanks, Atsushi.”
Atsushi glanced up and nodded, pulling over one of the chocolate packages. It was a familiar routine, and Himuro settled into it, relaxing and basking in the comfortable silence and welcome company. Maybe he should have done this much earlier.
At first, the gossip stayed at the edges of his vision, words whispered behind hands that quickly stopped when he looked their way, and no one bothered him for at least a week. It was blissfully peaceful, and he hadn’t even had to do anything that he knew would make Atsushi uncomfortable.
But he couldn’t deny that sometimes… Sometimes he wanted to take advantage of the fact that they had to appear to be in a relationship. He caught himself on more than a few occasions wanting to reach over and take his hand, or hug his arm or waist, maybe rise onto his tiptoes to press a small and easy kiss to his cheek. Of course, there were other things too, but he didn’t think Atsushi would appreciate them.
But maybe he’d restrained himself too much, because it didn’t take nearly as long as he’d hoped for some girl to come up to them during lunch.
“I don’t think you’re actually dating,” she said. She raised an eyebrow at the both of them, and honed in on Himuro expectantly.
“Oh?” He frowned slightly for emphasis. “I was under the impression that we could have our own opinion about whether we were dating or not.” Atsushi slowly looked up at the girl warily, and Himuro made a mental note to diffuse the situation before Atsushi had to step in.
“Alright, but even though you spend a lot of time together, no one has seen you two ever kiss or hold hands or anything.”
“Do we need to? It’s not your place--”
His voice faltered when he felt a pair of lips brush against his cheek.
“Is that enough for you?”
Himuro turned in amazement to see Atsushi stand up and stare the girl down, and with his height it was enough to make her slowly back away and turn, briskly walking down the hall. He stayed standing for a few moments after she’d left, and then sat down again, going back to eating. He must have felt Himuro’s stare on him, however, since he looked up a minute later.
“What?” His voice came out muffled around the onigiri he was currently consuming. “We’re supposed to be dating.”
At a loss for words, Himuro swallowed and nodded. It took him a while, but he managed a “Thanks, Atsushi.”
He was all the more confused now.
The gestures of affection increased after that, and Himuro was torn between confronting him about it and possibly ending everything or continuing to let things be as they were.
The first was as they were walking down the hallway, and Himuro felt a nudging at his hand. Looking up, he saw that Atsushi’s gaze wasn’t even pointed in his direction, but his pinky finger had curled itself around his. Needless to say, he had to try a little extra hard to keep his face neutral.
In another instance, they were eating lunch, and under the table, Himuro felt his foot become ensconced between two others, but Atsushi seemed to be intent on devouring an umaibo. Himuro was honestly too comfortable to move his foot, even if it had been an accident, so he left it there, and if he ate his own lunch with a little more force than usual, no one had to know.
All throughout the week, it seemed like Atsushi was always letting him know with small touches here and there that he was very much present, and if his aim had been to not let Himuro forget that he was there, it was very much working.
But now he couldn’t take it anymore.
Obviously, Atsushi was trying to tell him something, and dare he hope…? The signs clearly pointed in the direction he wanted them to go in, but he had to find out, one way or another.
So here he was, at the park half an hour too early to leave for school, shivering as he kept his hands jammed in his pockets. He just hoped that Atsushi had gotten his message, since he’d left early the previous day.
Himuro was rewarded for his efforts as his unmistakably tall teammate appeared at the end of the path and drew closer to stop in front of him. He looked up at Atsushi’s face, looking for anything out of the ordinary, but the taller boy’s face was relaxed, normal.
“Sorry to call you out so early,” he started, suddenly unsure. “I just… needed to talk to you.”
“I know.”
His eyes flicked upward, taken aback. “You… do?” When he got a nod, he continued, “So you know what this is about?”
Atsushi didn’t speak at first, and walked over to sit down on a nearby bench, waiting until Himuro slowly joined him to open his mouth. It seemed as if the entire world was holding its breath.
“You like me.” It wasn’t a question, and Himuro was now gaping.
“What? I…” Well, he couldn’t deny it now, could he? There was no point if Atsushi already knew. So he took a deep breath and met his eyes. “Do… do you feel the same way?”
It took Atsushi a moment, but he slowly asked, “Does it mean you like someone when you constantly want to hold their hand, or give them a hug just because, or maybe…” At this he tilted his head slightly, studying Himuro. “Kiss them?”
It was all Himuro could do not to collapse against him right then and there out of sheer relief. Instead he let out a breath, and let the corners of his mouth pull upward. “Yes, Atsushi. I believe it does.”
The answer was immediate. “Then yes, I do.”
“Would you perhaps like to date - for real, I mean?” Himuro swallowed, reaching for the closest thing, which happened to be Atsushi’s hands, to grip tightly, and took comfort in the fact that he squeezed back.
“I’d assumed we were dating already?” The taller one’s face scrunched slightly in confusion. “Didn’t you…”
It dawned on Himuro that all those gestures that Atsushi had given him throughout their tenure as fake boyfriends had been genuine. He’d been a fool - an utter, complete fool. Didn’t he know that Atsushi didn’t give out even his approval lightly? If the other had thought him important enough to instigate tokens of affection without being prompted, that alone should have been clear enough that he was indeed special to Atsushi.
But it was also funny.
“Why are you laughing, Murochin…?”
He hadn’t realized that he was laughing out loud, but he suddenly needed to kiss Atsushi, show him that his efforts hadn’t gone to waste. So he cupped his cheeks and brought his face down toward him, planting a lingering kiss on his lips right there. When they parted, he could see an extra tint in his boyfriend’s cheeks, not just from the cold.
“Come on, Atsushi,” he said, standing up and looping his arm through the other’s, this time for real. “Let’s go to school, and I’ll tell you about it later.”

This is my attitude to these shippings. I love MuraAka so much ❤ AoKi is my favorite shipping after MuraAka. I think that AoKaga is normal, but I don’t really like it. I don’t know who is more suitable for the relationship to Hanamiya… Imayoshi or Kiyoshi… And I hate MuraMuro and AkaKuro, sorry. Because MuraAka has taken my heart.
