Noble OCs - Anastasia’s bodyguards

Paradiso nobles can’t fight at all. Their clan is the only non-combat clan in Lukedonia. For this reason, Clan Leaders and heirs are protected by bodyguards at all times.

This time I’ll introduce five bodyguards from Anastasia Faye Paradiso’s team of more than twenty.

The characters!

Topaz Agvain: Captain. Belongs to Raskreia’s generation.

Topaz is practical and flexible. She gets along with all of her subordinates and often asks for their opinion on matters before making final decisions because she believes that a good leader is part of the team and not just someone who gives orders from the top. Her subordinates sometimes even try to remind her that she’s their captain and they’ll listen to whatever she orders of them, but she insists on gathering everyone’s input. Even Topaz occasionally forgets that she is their captain.

Topaz is the youngest captain to ever exist in the entire history of Paradiso bodyguards. She’s even younger than Anastasia whom she serves. The nobles think she’s too young to be the captain of a Paradiso bodyguard team, but they later understand why she is in such a position because she does an excellent job. Perhaps her flexibility is due to her age since she doesn’t see things the way the older generations do, and it’s probably for the better. Not everyone needs to be a Primavera.

Topaz is committed to protecting Anastasia, but back then she didn’t apply as a bodyguard because she truly felt passionate about being one. Her parents pressured her into it. Directly serving the Paradiso as a bodyguard is extremely prestigious and they wanted their daughter to aim for it. Topaz loves her parents, so she put aside everything she had been working for up until now and gave up her dream of becoming a diplomat to train herself instead. Her application was a success and she eventually landed herself a spot in Anastasia’s team. Topaz went home to share the good news with her parents. Instead of being proud of her, they screamed at her, because apparently if she were more competent, she would’ve been placed into Titus’ team instead. Serving the Clan Leader means much more than serving one of the heirs, they said. Topaz was devastated and shut herself inside her room and cried nonstop for a whole week. Soon, she left home and started working. Things didn’t get better even after she separated herself from that environment. She’d tear up whenever she thought about how her parents responded to her achievement that they forced her to work towards in the first place. Her coworkers didn’t understand why this girl seemed so sad, but they didn’t ask in order stay polite.

Topaz admires Anastasia and broke into tears when the latter asked if she wants to be friends, since they’ll be seeing each other around quite a bit from now on. Anastasia noticed how her newest bodyguard seemed a bit somber and wanted to offer her comfort. Topaz eventually explains her situation to Anastasia and laments how she threw away her dreams to impress people who she thought loved her back, and admits that she can’t quit either because there is nowhere for her to go back to anymore. Anastasia sits down next to Topaz and reassures her that the Paradiso will be her new home now, and promises that she’ll always be here for her, not just as whom she serves but as her companion as well. Topaz starts crying even more. Anastasia and Topaz are great friends in the present day.

Topaz entered the team as an ordinary member and rose through the ranks very quickly. She became vice-captain within a few months, and got promoted to captain in two years. Topaz is an all-rounder fighter and boasts impressive offense and defense.

Topaz’ weapon of choice is a glaive.

Otieno Blerster: Vice-captain. Belongs to the Previous Lord’s generation.

Otieno used to be captain, and now he’s back to being vice-captain. He saw the potential in Topaz and suggested to Anastasia that they should switch with each other because he had a feeling that the young girl would do a great job. Anastasia approved, and Otieno is vice-captain once again. It’s nice to have the youngsters be in charge because they know better than most people these days. Besides, it’ll be great to get to chill a bit because captain duties have gone to someone else already. He’s not going to say that out loud though.

Otieno volunteered as a bodyguard because he had a debt to repay to Titus. His parents regretted having him and often neglected his needs, and never hesitated to tell him that he’s unwanted. They called him names and even told him that he’s the reason for their shortened lifespans despite being the ones who decided to have him in the first place. Otieno left home early because he didn’t feel safe there. From a young age, he had been all alone and had to fend for himself. Titus noticed a sulking Otieno loitering around in Minerva and concluded that this young boy seemed like he had no place to go. Titus didn’t ask any questions and personally instructed one of his Keepers to find a place for the boy to stay inside the tower. It didn’t take more than an hour for them to make arrangements. A very surprised Otieno receives a key to a nice, cozy room of his own. A safe place that belongs to him. There’s no one to yell at him or tell him he’s an eyesore here. Titus then showed himself and greeted the boy, and told him that he can stay here for as long as he wishes. Otieno is forever grateful and promised Titus that he’ll repay his kindness one day. Titus just chuckled and walked away humming.

Otieno kind of just helped around the library until Titus’ twins were born, and the Paradiso needed two more bodyguard teams. Otieno saw this as his opportunity to repay Titus and immediately took action. Otieno trained himself rigorously and eventually qualified as a Paradiso bodyguard and joined the team. His specialty is his impressive long-ranged senses and his role is to be on lookout for everyone. He is excellent with his bow and arrow and never misses anything he shoots at.

Otieno adores Anastasia and he watched her grow up. As a kid, she used to ride on his shoulders while grabbing onto his bright blonde hair. He carried her around when she got tired from playing and read books to her when she felt bored. To this day, Otieno keeps a small ocarina fastened around his waist because Anastasia loves listening to him play the instrument.

Otieno’s weapon of choice is longbow.

Naranja Elenor: Member. Belongs to Raskreia’s generation.

Naranja is smart. While Captain Primavera from Team Titus prefers the old fashioned “pick him up and run” approach for evacuation drills, Naranja is more innovative. She sets up invisible teleportation circles all over Lukedonia for Anastasia to use if there ever is an emergency. They’re idle until Anastasia decides to activate them, and they are designed to respond to her aura only. This is a safety measure to prevent anyone else from using them in case someone tries to abuse the system for whatever reasons. This makes evacuation drills so much easier and faster because no more running around everywhere. Of course, that’s an option too, though it’s the last resort. Titus is envious when he looks at his daughter’s team, while Primavera just comments on how magic is “unreliable” and the best way to get to safety is by running. That’s just Primavera’s prejudice against magic in general and she blames it on young people “taking too many shortcuts”. What she doesn’t know is that Anastasia’s team practices the classic run-for-your-lives drill as well. Of course Naranja is aware that having both is an option. Duh. The more the merrier.

Hand-to-hand combat may not be Naranja’s specialty, but she’s very good at figuring out how to set up her magic for the greater good. That’s how she got recruited without being a melee expert. Naranja is so grateful that their Captain Topaz is very open-minded and never nags anyone when she is uncertain about something. Well, the average age of her team members is much lower than that of Primavera’s, so of course they would be more welcoming of creativity.

Naranja volunteered as a bodyguard simply because she liked it as a career choice and it’s optimal in every way. Don’t have to work in a big group akin to mini society, don’t have to work alone either. The perfect balance for someone like her. Besides, her talent for magic circles will be useful. Anastasia seemed like she’d be a nice boss too. Naranja is very picky about who she works for and won’t easily compromise this aspect of her preferences. Anastasia is friendly and reasonable, and Naranja likes her easygoing nature. A good job and a good boss, who will say no to that.

Naranja tries her best to not looked tired but maintaining her teleportation circles does drain quite a big chunk of her energy. Anastasia is aware of this situation and tells her loyal bodyguard that it should be okay to turn off her magic for a bit. Naranja refuses and insists that they need to stay alert at all times, and keeping the magic circles there is her job. Anastasia just stuffs Naranja with candies and cakes as her way of showing appreciation for her employee’s dedication.

Naranja is also very good at offensive spells. She can blast holes into mountains if she wants to. She’d gladly do so if Anastasia orders her to “clear the path”, though that probably won’t happen because it’s unnecessary. Eh, who knows, maybe Anastasia would like to watch the sunset for a few more minutes and getting rid of the mountain ranges blocking out the light is the way to go about it.

Naranja doesn’t carry a weapon because her magic is her weapon. But, she sometimes uses one too, and her weapon of choice is darts.

Jaakob Landegre: Member. Belongs to Gejutel’s generation.

Jaakob used to be a member of Titus’ bodyguard team but the latter transferred him to Anastasia after she was born. Jaakob’s a great person and an expert at his job, so Titus entrusted him with giving a “head start” to his daughter’s team. This means that Jaakob is Anastasia’s very first employee, and all of the other bodyguards were recruited after him.

Jaakob is the oldest person of his team. He’s the odd one out by age and everyone calls him “Grandpa Jaakob”, and he’s quite happy with it. Primavera thinks this is inappropriate and she insists that members should call each other by their full names because that’s the standard protocol. If that’s how she wants to manage her team, then so be it. Topaz isn’t going to enforce this rule on her subordinates and Anastasia agrees with her. Anastasia likes it when her bodyguards are casual with each other because she sees no need to be so strict with sticking to old traditions. If everyone is family here, of course some affection will come through. Even Anastasia calls Jaakob “Grandpa” and treats him as she would with her real grandfather if she had one. Jaakob adores the youngsters and refers to them as his kids. He doesn’t have any kids of his own and he’s more than happy to figuratively adopt his younger coworkers.

Jaakob is always smiling. His smile never changes. It’s impossible to tell if he’s happy, neutral, or upset. He even smiles as he’s bringing down an enemy. Speaking of which, Jaakob is great at offense. He is capable of fighting off multiple strong enemies on his own and never wastes any of his moves. He only aims for the vital parts and gets the deed done very quickly. He doesn’t even wipe his enemies’ splattered blood off his face after he finishes them off and just waits for it to dry up and fall off on its own. No one has seen Jaakob kill anyone as there hasn’t been a situation or emergency where it was necessary, but they’re all curious. Jaakob recounts tales from the old days when he accompanied Titus on their journeys through the more dangerous areas of the world in search of rare literature, and describes in detail how he mercilessly eliminated the enemies that stood in their way. Cool Grandpa Jaakob.

Jaakob is alert and walks in front of Anastasia whenever they are going somewhere, though that’s also because Titus tripped himself all the time. Poor Grandpa Jaakob thinks that Anastasia will trip herself just like her weird ol’ dad. It’s okay, Anastasia has a way better balance. Jaakob is still very cautious and he’s always ready to catch Anastasia if she falls. He’s just worried for her. Aww.

Jaakob’s weapon of choice is a longsword.

Haizea Mergas: Member. Belongs to Raskreia’s generation.

Haizea is quite shy. She stammers a lot and needs to try seven to eight times before she can successfully say “Yes Captain” without any pauses or breaks. Captain Topaz is very understanding and lets Haizea know that she can just do a hand gesture instead and that’ll substitute for a verbal confirmation. Topaz doesn’t want to stress out her subordinate by making her mentally rehearse her sentences over and over again because it’s simply unnecessary. Again, Primavera would be judging Topaz for being too lenient. As long as Haizea is comfortable, who cares? It’s not like they admit members based on verbal eloquence.

Haizea is sweet. She’s constantly checking in with her colleagues and asking if they need help with anything. Her fellow bodyguards care for her as well and would remind her that they are of equal rank so she doesn’t have to tend to them as she would with a superior.

Haizea volunteered as a bodyguard because she is in love with Anastasia. They met as children when Haizea visited Minerva with her parents and a very enthusiastic Anastasia held the shy girl’s hands and showed her around. They became best friends for the day. As of today, Anastasia doesn’t remember meeting Haizea, but the latter can recall the memory as if it was yesterday. Haizea tries to ignore her growing feelings for Anastasia to no avail, and ultimately decides to follow her heart. All she desires is to stand next to her childhood crush. Haizea is aware that Anastasia likes Seira, and she’s fine if Anastasia never returns her feelings. She’ll just guard her love from a distance and wish for her happiness. That is all she needs to be fulfilled. Haizea’s favorite flower is cherry blossoms because they remind her of Anastasia.

Haizea is very good with barrier spells. Her barriers can withstand attacks from all members of her team combined. She also makes small portable barrier charms for her colleagues and Anastasia to carry around. These barrier charms are single-use and active themselves automatically in the presence of danger.

Haizea’s weapon of choice is a mace.

Phantom Moth AU: The Phantom’s Backstory/Abilities

Trying to get this out of my head. Here are some headcannons I came up with for my Phantom Moth AU about the Phantom.

Like probably other people in the fandom, I like the idea of Tom Phan starting out as a normal Rabbid with big dreams at the bottom of the rung.

While exploring, an accident befalls him that oddly involves a gramophone and a bat resulting in his death. As a result, he becomes a giant ghost bat.

Legend has it that someone sent the bat to kill him for fortune and fame. Ever since, Tom wants revenge!

The only white bat in real life that exists (I think) is the Honduran White Bat, a cute bat that eats figs and constructs leaf tents to sleep in. Phantom is a little different. His color scheme is white and pink, and although he does like eating sweets every now and then, Phantom will eat almost anything. His favorite food? Any living being/souls. Don’t know if he would like making tents.

For a while, Phantom has been hiding underground, only going out at night to feed and mingle while making a secret reputation for himself. But when he decides to do the contest and finds the one being he could be a partner to, he’s convinced to become more active. To get closer to MC and to be in the spotlight, Phantom decides to appear in the daylight as Tom Phan. Basically his canon form except he does his hair, moustache, and clothes casually, he’s at a height more acceptable to the public, and since the spotlight is not on him, instead of a gramophone, there’s just a belly. He also sprouted legs with his powers so he appears as a normal Rabbid. He feels it’s necessary to not be in the spotlight so he could rise to fame and dote on MC normally. At night, he’s back to his giant monster self.

Phantom’s true form is 100 feet tall with a wing span and gramophone to match. And his teeth are fangs.

His sound powers are enhanced in this AU. Along with the canon powers, he is able to control his volume, mimic other voices, throw his voice around, hypnotize others, and use echolocation.

Devouring people and souls not only makes him bigger, but each prey consumed adds a voice bank to his gramophone. Meaning that he could be his own chorus and use other voices to his advantage.

Phantom does have the power to eat someone and they’ll be safe. Depending on who the person is, they end up in different areas. For example, if MC asks him to protect their bodyguard Otieno, Phantom would send him right where the gramophone is. It’s basically the most protected area because that’s where the voices reside. It’s like hearing everything at full volume in there. If it’s MC, however, he would send them right near where his heart would be. Semi-related note, he is not above putting the MC as jewelry to wear.

The more of a bond Phantom has with MC, the more power he has and the more fused they seem. At one point, if the MC feels a strong emotion, their voice would come out of Phantom along with his in a perfect blend.

Just like canon, Phantom is not as popular as he acts compared to the other monsters in the city, but he is slowly rising into power.

Seeing so much Trolls content reminds me of something I made long ago and I thought I’d made a quick post about it just to toss it out there. This concept was made years ago, so don’t expect it to be perfect or anything.

Two words; Siren Trolls

Basically a sort of subspecies of Techno Trolls from farther out to sea. They don’t live in a reef but rather use caves or kelp forests as their homes. And yes, I say homes because they’re not united under one ruler or anything. They either go solo or in pods, and nomadic pods that don’t settle down aren’t unheard of. Siren trolls are much larger and have more predatory features due to their omnivorous diet. Techno trolls are like sea vegetarians, but Siren trolls eventually evolved to eat practically anything they could find.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re strictly scavengers, though. While they could choose that lifestyle, they’re also fully capable of doing their own hunting. And as their name suggests, yes, their most commonly used hunting tactic involves luring in prey with their singing. They’re basically like if techno trolls were combined with orcas. Absolute menaces.

Their fingers look kind of like claws at the end, and some of their teeth are much sharper. And just like orcas, they can be born with black and/or white colors. They typically have territories that stretch for miles and miles, which they can cross easily. And something that you might not expect from them is that their jaw strength is more than enough to crush bone.

And incase you’re wondering, siren trolls being the equivalent of sea bergins is a no. While they could, siren trolls find techno trolls too nice to hunt. Think like that news thing that claimed sharks don’t eat manatees because they’re so nice.

My favorite part is my first siren troll OC, Otieno. He lives in a cave not too far from the Rave Reef (and by that I mean his cave is 23 miles away), and he gets along with Trollex since despite Rave Reef being left alone by siren trolls, his territory still surrounds it, so almost any marine species capable of eating techno trolls is automatically a potential meal for him. And accidentally saving a species much smaller than you a few times gets you a good reputation among them. If he was awake during the events of TWT, he might’ve mistaken Barb’s ships for actual anglerfish. Or see that they’re just rock trolls and attack either way because they’re clearly causing trouble.

I don't talk enough about my Duke Thomas love interest enough, so here are some facts about Diamond Otieno!

She is a professional teen actress, and her little stint as a lantern was seen as her taking a break from the acting world after reports broke she stormed off set. (The press did not capture the moment a red ring flew at her.)

When she returns to Earth, she goes right back to acting. Her fans are wondering what the fuck happened because after being gone news breaks she is going to return on a singular episode of some obscure drama.

Then news breaks she is dating the newest Wayne boy, and everyone is so surprised because of the absolute icon behavior to have a good career, dip, return, and bag one of the richest men in the world.

When she is older, Diamond becomes quite fond of wine and buys her own winery because she loves the drink so much. She is definitely the wine aunt at family gatherings, ready to indulge the younger members in the latest gossip.

Diamond is pansexual, but she never mentions this. In fact, Duke didn't know she was pan until he came to her panicking about their relationship because he is a he but he is also a they (agender Duke supremacy) and Diamond just goes 'It is fine, I don't have a preference either way go be gender non-conforming'.

She has gotten into a legal dispute with Spectrum the company over her team's name also being Spectrum. She won.

Her favorite Green Lantern is Kyle Rayner because they are both artists, and he sometimes helps her escape the other corps because he understands deadlines. It helps that he reminds her of one of her teammates.

Despite not liking the other lanterns besides her team, she does deeply admire Carol Ferris and feels more at home with the Star Sapphires than with the Red Lanterns.

Diamond is older than Duke, but only by one year. It is kind of agreed his canonical age is sixteen, so she would be seventeen.

I imagine she was fifteen when she got her ring.

While Diamond gets along alright with the general Batfam, she gets along best with Cassandra, Stephanie, and Harper.

Diamond was so nervous to meet the We Are Robin gang, because she knew how important they were to Duke and wanted to make a good first impression.

Diamond definitely had one of those temporary pop careers companies try to stick onto child actors, and she gets embarrassed anytime anyone brings it up because she finds the songs she recorded to be bad and her voice average.

I am still working on her teammates, but one is an orange/blue lantern who is an artist and another is a green/yellow lantern who is basically if Sinestro and Hal had a child.

I have no clue what her suit would look like due to her being a teenager so I can't go back wild with the sapphire influences, but I think it looks kind of like the Brave & Bold animated design mixed with Yrra Cynril's outfit with more armor.

She'll probably make it into the Classverse as a Zodian under the Virgo designation.

ok so i forgot to do this earlier but here is my propaganda post for @transfemswagbracket oc bracket!!!!

here’s why YOU should vote for VICTORIA OTIENO in the upcoming TRANSFEM OC BRACKET!!

victoria is one of the main characters from one of my numerous original stories. she is the pilot and engineer and engineer of the space pirate crew of the Insurgence, their souped up stolen starship.

aside from getting the crew from place to place, vic also keeps the ship in great condition, often with help from her partner, copperheart jack. when she’s not flying the ship or tinkering with some project, she’s usually in the ship’s library or talking fashion with Tim, the ship’s first mate.

but! this contest is not about who is the best space pirate pilot/engineer/fashion icon! this tournament is about transfem swag!! victoria is transfem, which is a pretty prominent part of her character and her development. she is also intersex and bisexual. when it comes to presentation, she tends to be rather fluid. when she was younger she experimented with drag, which is how she came to realize that she felt more comfortable being perceived as a woman. however, she didn’t seriously begin transitioning until she met the rest of the crew. for the first time in her life, she was surrounded by people like her, who wanted to see her grow into the person she was most comfortable being. now she is very comfortable living and presenting the way she wants with the people she loves most :3

Appearance and Personality

Appearance: Alzir has rather a very tall and slender male body build but he is muscular underneath his clothing. He has long and beautiful pastel blue hair which he ties it into a single but low ponytail which it reaches to the ground. He has ivory blue eyes which they change into snow white and then glow whenever he uses his willow magic. Alzir is rather a calm individual but his level of patience had its limits.

Personality: Born as the second eldest child in his family till he became an uncle of three kids from his two younger siblings who were now married to their beloveds. In the past as a kid, he has more responsibilities than his older sister whom he never ever mentioned about for the rest of his life. Would clearly state that fact that he and the rest of the family didn't get along with the eldest child ever since her birth, as he reached to adulthood, she was kicked out of the family for hidden reasons but is known for being a disgrace in the family.

Before all of it falls down, he used to look up to her a bit but it stopped permanently after his sister changed when his younger brother and sister were born. He and the rest of the family knew the reason why... But decided not to speak of it, especially after she mysteriously died to an unknown cause of death.

The current Alzir we're seeing, who is know a full-grown young man is a calm and kind gentlemen with rather handsomely features as a forest whisperling. Would explain why he was somewhat popular from the other schools but never notices it in the end.

His patience's level is enough for anyone to see on the daily basis he seems pretty easy on the students around at campus but knows how to be serious when it comes to his classes, which that's no lie of course. Especially when he's giving training sessions his niece and nephews at the dorm.

Alzir can be a little curious when it comes to new things that he isn't familiar with since he's often busy from time to time. Though it depends on his opinions on how he views it throughly, but he can rather be blunt almost on anything afterward.

Remember, his patience level has its limits if you do something to high pressure his blood veins. Thanks to his older sister who was kicked out of the family and then died, he was now wary of other people true intentions, so truly he can out up an deceiving act. You might need to he a hundred percent honest with him or you'll be facing pure conquesenses in the aftermath.

But alas, what has been planned might not be enough to satisfy him, so expect him to do more till you break.

What a handsome man to be seen, but he's more with his features if you know the real him.

Trivia

-The name 'Alzir' is a Arabic sailboat name of a star of the Gemini constellation. While his surname 'Otieno' is primarily a male name of African - Kenya origin that means Born At Night.

-He's based on Naru (From Ori Game Series) and Totem Camp Fires (From the Last Camp Fire Game)

-He's one of the a few who got along with Sunako in a normal manner.

-Seems to know the half-myths in the school cause he visits the Island of Enchantment once or twice, but is quite interested in Freya in a friendly manner. It appears he only one who knows about her fear of communication but decided not to know.

-He's mostly attentive to his niece since he's her mentor for training sessions.

-Quite popular, but doesn't notice that fact in the end. He doesn't seem to care about it but is friendly but clueless.

-Don't mention about his height, kinda hates it if someone brings that up.

-Might seem to know about the Purelia and Diabolical Races.

-Knows how to handle his classes quite well, somewhat a little strict when he gets serious.

-Knows how to handle some forest creatures who can be rather feral at the Silvanotte dorm can also communicate with them too.

-As mentioned, he used to look up at his older sister a little bit but after the birth of younger brother and sister came, things changes which caused the eldest child to turn into an abusive person in the household, after that she lost her willow magic and was kicked out of the family. About a month after Shirrira was born, she mysteriously died at unknown cause. This caused him to turn what he is now thanks to her.

-Often collects different kinds of stardust ever since he was a child.

-Likes white Lilies cause it reminds him of his younger sister and family.

-Became a member of the royal council a week later after his sister got kicked out.

-Alzir's voice is rather calming and relaxed but the time darken whenever he's in a bad mood. Which is why I chose Shougo Makishima to be his voice actor.

OCs for the Phantom Moth AU

Hey guys. Trying to get this out of my head before it disappears, but I finally got an idea for some of my OCs for the Mario + Rabbids AU I came up with, The Phantom Moth. It took some research and reading great fics from mutuals to get something going. A few musical terms here and there as well!Without further ado, here are the OCs that will appear in my AU Fics:

Brio Harper (They/Them)

The Main Character and Protagonist for the AU! I'm still undecided whether or not to keep them or experiment with reader fic. I had never written the latter before. Well, maybe once a few years ago. But I'll figure it out. Brio is a gender-neutral musical name meaning vitality. Brio is a genderfluid nonbinary human who loves entertaining and creating things as well as living life and making new friends. They love several types of music and the supernatural/monsters. Due to their small rise in popularity, a childhood bully has placed a monster curse on them. The main focus in the AU is Brio coming to terms with their identity and what happens when the curse affects them in more ways than one.

Otieno the Rabbid (He/Him)

A black and white Rabbid who acts like the MC's bodyguard, agent, and advisor. He is loosely based on my past pet rabbit Marceline. To describe him, if he were in the Mario and Rabbids canon, he'd be similar to Edge but a little more energetic. Maybe not a Spark Hunter, but a Spark Defender? In this AU, Otieno is a rebel/vigilante type who's somewhat retired and somehow became friends with MC/Brio to the point that he helps them out however he can whether it would entail being a spokesperson or escorting someone out if they were making MC/Brio uncomfortable. Otieno left behind his shadows, but the shadows are on the hunt for revenge.

Chanson the Peek-A-Boo (He/Him)

Phantom's Right-Hand Ghost! Before being Phantom, Thomas Phan was a normal Rabbid outcast who would sometimes hang out in the lonely parts of the city. Near a graveyard/sewers, Thomas met two supernatural beings who had forgotten their names. One of them was a Peek-A-Boo who Thomas took a liking to because he could lure in anyone and enjoys talking about literature and the arts. He and the eccentric being love hanging out with Thomas. One night, something happens, and the two see Thomas in a ditch, wounded with a large bat and a phonograph. They both try to help but to no avail. They then witness Thomas's death and his transformation into Phantom. Still feeling enraged and confused at what happened to him, the Phantom unconsciously makes his only friends grow as well. After the breakdown, the Phantom decides to make a new name for himself and employ his friends into being his staff, also naming them. Chanson (French for Song) is the second in command and Phantom's advisor. He is the one who helps organizes the contest for Phantom to get a partner. Strict and Serious but understanding. He is used to Phantom's antics and has similar but minor siren powers like Phantom.

Misfix the Medician (They/Them)

The Healer of Phantom's staff. They along with Chanson are friends of Phantom when he was Thomas Phan. Unlike the others, Misfix gave a name for themself. It's a mixture of "misfit" and "fix". They are a nonbinary Medician who is in charge of healing anyone despite their eccentric and excited personality akin to the mad scientist trope. They are the wild card, but the best at what they do. In the main fic, they examine MC/Brio after the contest. They have three siblings who stay with them and are also employed by Phantom. Misfix is the second oldest. Along with Chanson, Misfix is the other giant of the staff who loves their size.

Deciso the Spellraiser (She/They)

The supposed holder of the brain cell for the staff besides Chanson. She is unrelated to the Spectral Siblings but is friends with Adagio. Deciso (Musical term meaning firm) is a living mage who can float, cast spells, and summon anything. She is considered a recent hire when one night she visits Adagio and discovers that he and his siblings are part of a comeback plot for some giant monster ghost bat. She joins the staff mainly to help the siblings out, but to also not make Phantom upset/eat her. Deciso acts like a mediator and deals with the relations between the upper/daily world and the dark underworld they live in. Out of the staff, Deciso is the only one who keeps her regular size, so she gets carried around a lot. Despite her initial worries, Phantom does not want to mess around with her. Mostly no-nonsense, but she does know how to let loose once in a while.

Glissando the Oozer (He/Him)

The Sniper of Phantom's staff. Misfix's younger brother. He is also the apothecary/poison master of the staff, able to detect poisons and create potions along with Deciso's help. Whenever there is an enemy monster that Phantom cannot handle or they need to kidnap someone, Glissando (musical term meaning to slide) is on the job to poison the monster or make elixirs with side effects. He is sly and sneaky. A chill kind of guy. He, Libero, and Adagio are size shifters curtesy of the Phantom.

Libero the Ghostly Walker (He/They)

An Extra Assistant to Phantom. The youngest of the siblings. Unlike his siblings, Libero (musical term meaning free) is a pure ghost who wears chains. While he and the rest of the staff liked to sing, he was the one who sang beautifully/the most. While Phantom's power grew back in the early stages of his transformation, there was an incident that made Phantom weak and damaged his phonograph. Libero comes to help but during this vulnerable time, he gets absorbed into Phantom. With the help of his family, he does get back out, but without a voice. His voice was unconsciously taken by Phantom which was used to repair him. Although Libero was saddened, he would gladly sacrifice his voice for an amazing ghost such as Phantom. Since he does not have any distinctive powers like his siblings, Libero acts as moral support and helps in the background whenever he can. He is mute and he uses sign language and writing to get his thoughts across. He can hum, but it would mostly sound like a ghostly moan with no distinct voice to it. Very curious, kind, and shy. Phantom (and eventually MC/Brio) would be the only ones who could hear him speak in their minds. Phantom can use Libero's voice in addition to all the others he absorbed in his voicebank to his advantage. Libero's voice is of a higher/lighter register.

Adagio the Depleter (He/Him)

The assassin of Phantom's staff and the Eldest of the Spectral Siblings. He is the typical brooding big brother type who doesn't want to deal with anyone and would protect his younger siblings with his life or afterlife as it were. He initially went against working with Phantom, saying that Misfix should get out of the situation by themself but after much convincing (ie. Hypnotism/Persuasion and threats), he reluctantly joined the staff. Adagio (musical term meaning in slow tempo) works along with Glissando in dealing with enemies of Phantom's plot. He knows how to steal the life force of his victims and has given pointers to Phantom on the matter. He along with Chanson acts like the foil to Otieno; bodyguards who would do whatever it takes to protect their charges.
