Performance pics from this month! I'm so proud of the sets I did, and I placed in the finals EVERY TIME - even won a lip sync battle! As a beginner King I can't believe how much I've been able to accomplish in so little time, and I'm excited to keep pushing myself into better things!

I applied to a local newcomer pageant, so hopefully I was able to impress them enough to let me compete! I will know in a week or so. 🙏

Gotta say I feel bad for a lot of trans people. I was having a discussion with a trans guy about how transmen are not safe and often feel uncomfortable in male specific spaces, especially male prisons, and they just wouldn’t acknowledge that was possible. The argument they used was that maybe some transmen would feel that way if they don’t pass, but that they wouldn’t post-transition.

This is just blatant wishful thinking. Even when I passed I felt uncomfortable in male restrooms because I understood that there is a power dynamic between me as a female vs a male. Especially in a space as vulnerable as a bathroom. It really makes you understand that you cannot escape the realities of your sex, regardless of whether you pass. If I had ever been clocked in male restrooms it would have made me minimum uncomfortable, probably unsafe.

They also wouldn’t acknowledge that passing transmen are not seen as men. I’m sorry, but you’re delusional. Trans people are seen as trans people or as their birth sex. They are not seen as the sex they want to transition to IF the people around them know they’re trans. Once people found out I was trans, nobody saw me as a “real man” anymore because I was literally never a real man, I was never male. Trans people need to accept that the most they can do if transition into trans people, not into the opposite sex. You’re detached from reality and doing yourself a disservice otherwise.

Ce dimanche 5 Mai à lieu une mobilisation nationale de plus de 800 personnalités, organisations et associations pour se battre contre l'offensive réactionnaire et anti-trans de ces derniers mois.

Cette offensive, relayée par plusieurs grands médias (Figaro, le Point, Valeurs actuelles, le JDD, Marianne, Europe 1..etc) coïncident avec un certain livre complotiste sorti le 11 avril dernier et avec la proposition de loi des sénateurs du parti Les Républicains, qui veulent :

- Interdire la transition sociale et médicale des mineurs - Leur imposer des thérapies de conversion - Punir les médecins qui accompagnent les mineurs trans de 2 ans de prisons

Au delà des mineurs, le rapport de LR veut avoir la possibilité d'interdire toutes transitions des adultes jusqu’à 25 ans, une mesure qui est déjà adoptés dans certains états aux USA.

A côté de cela, ces mêmes partis laissent les enfants intersexes être mutilés à la naissance par soucis de "conformité"/"normalité". Ces attaques réactionnaires de la droite et de l'extrême droite à l'échelle internationale visent le droit à disposer de son corps, et donc directement les droits reproductifs comme l'IVG !

Féministes, LGBTIA+, antifascistes, nous devons faire front ensemble contre ces attaques des droits humains fondamentaux ! Rendez vous le 5 Mai IRL ou en ligne pour celleux qui comme moi ne peuvent pas aller manifester :

starting HRT doesn't have to be a huge momentous all-or-nothing decision. you can just try it like you would an antidepressant you've been informed of the risks of.

there won't be any immediate irreversible changes overnight. you can always stop, change your dose, change your delivery system, decide it's not the right time. you can even microdose if you want to.

you don't have to tell anyone. you don't have to announce it if you don't want to.

stop waiting for a perfect time in your life because it won't come.

stop waiting to reach a mythical level of certainty that never comes to anyone, for anything.

you've been thinking about it long enough. if you have the opportunity, just give it a shot. you're worth the courage it takes to make a change in your life.
