The Aquarium
"Have you even seen a fish before?"
"Of course I have!"
"Name one time."
"Finding Nemo, duh."
"I meant in real life," Sam huffs.
"Oh," you frown momentarily before turning away from Sam, who's standing in your doorway begging you to let him tag-along on your date today. "Either way, James' taking me to the aquarium, and he specifically said that you weren't invited."
"What part of your assigned handler do you two not understand?"
"Umm... the part where you've left us alone many times before- the only difference now is that you want to come with us."
"Well, what if something happens? You accidentally break the glass in a moment of culture shock? Or Bucky touches the glass with his metal hand and he breaks the glass? Huh? Then what?"
"Do all your disaster scenarios involve the glass breaking, Sam?"
"Yes," he nods definitely. "And maybe John showing up."
"John's not going to show up and I'll make sure that me and James are extra super-duper careful with the glass, promise! But you can't come!"
Sam dramatically groans, throwing himself face up on your bed. "You're only saying that because Bucky did. Is this how it's going to be now? You and Bucky. And Sam."
"Of course not! James just wants one night with just the two of us. I promise you'll go on our next date."
"Fine, but I'm picking where we go," he huffs again.
"You've got yourself a deal. Now which one?" you ask, holding up your only two dresses.
"The one with the flowers," Sam replies confidently. You look at both dresses one last time, agreeing with Sam's choice and walking to your closet to change. You're almost done getting ready when Bucky joins you and Sam in your room.
"Hello, beautiful," he winks at you, lightly pecking your lips. "Hello, man in my girlfriend's bed."
"So it's girlfriend now, huh?" Sam teases, sitting propped up on your many decorative pillows, hands tucked behind his head.
"And this is why you aren't invited!" Bucky smugly remarks.
"Fine," Sam sighs dramatically. "Leave me here- all alone. All by myself."
"Great, bye!" Bucky calls, grabbing your hand and walking the two of you out of your room.
"Bye, Sam!" you call as Bucky drags you out of your room.
"You're gonna miss me!" Sam shouts, getting up to follow the two of you.
And as Bucky and Sam are about to start arguing about why Sam's not allowed to join you two, the doorbell rings.
"Great," Bucky groans. "Who could that be?"
You shrug, walking over to the door. "I don't know."
And when you open the door, it looks like one of Sam's disaster scenarios has come to fruition. Because unfortunately, John Walker is standing in your doorway. "John," you awkwardly smile, keeping the door only open halfway. "What are you doing here?
He pushes the door the rest of the way open. "I had it on good authority that you weren't on any missions today- I thought maybe we could spend some time together."
"All three of us?" Bucky asks from behind the door, Sam now standing on the stairs.
John sighs in vague disappointment. "Sure, why not?"
"Call me crazy, but I think someone had an ulterior motive for coming today," Sam pointedly remarks. "Like someone thought someone else was going to be all by herself."
"You know, it can't come as a shock to you that I'm once again trying to be the bigger person here. I'm once again extending my hand in friendship, and you're always assuming the worst. It can't really be a that big of a surprise that I'm here, can it?"
"Well considering we didn't say your name three times in a dark bathroom, yes, it is a surprise that you're here," Sam taunts, his arms crossed in annoyance.
"We were actually on our way out, John. All three of us," you say, covering for Sam.
"Then I'll join you. Where are you headed?"
"James is taking me to the aquarium. With Sam," you add.
"Well, that sounds like a great team building activity! I'll be glad to join you."
"I don't remember inviting you," Bucky snarks.
"Well the more the merrier," John continues, looking right at you. "Right?"
"No," Bucky grunts.
"James, don't be rude," you quietly chastise Bucky, then turn back to John. "No, thank you."
"I was just trying to be nice, but I don't really need an invitation, it's an aquarium open to the public," John condescendingly reminds you.
"Look, John, we'd really like to be alone for our date. Just me and James- And Sam."
"You're going on a date? With Sam tagging along?" John challenged.
"He's my assigned handler. I'm not supposed to go anywhere without him," you state, echoing Sam's excuse from earlier.
"Why are you so intent on coming with us?" Bucky challenges, stepping closer to John. "She's not interested in you- get that through your thick skull."
"I'm offended," John scoffs. "Have you ever thought that I just wanted to be apart of your team? That I wanted to be included for once?"
You sigh, rubbing one of your shoulders nervously. "Fine, you can keep Sam company."
Sam pulls you away from John and Bucky's intense stare down, just far enough that they can't accidentally overhear and harshly whispers, "So now I get to go?"
"Play along and I'll let you pick the next two dates," you whisper to Sam.
"Three dates."
"Two dates and I'll throw in a movie night," you bargain.
"Just you and me? Or all three of us?" Sam asks, eyes narrowing in suspicion.
"Whichever you want," you quickly respond.
"You've got yourself a deal," Sam nods, clapping a hand over your shoulder. "Let's go to the aquarium!"
"Great," Bucky replies sarcastically.
"If you're nice, I'll make an extra special splash zone for John," you whisper in Bucky's ear as the four of you head out the front door.
He chuckles. "Maybe I am a bad influence on you."
-
"Some kind of date this is," John sneers. "It smells like fish in here."
"It's an aquarium," Bucky states in disbelief, trying to keep his focus on you and not how much he wants to punch John's face.
"I love it," you say, staring in awe as the fish swim above you in the giant glass tunnel.
Bucky smiles sweetly at you, watching you as you watch all the different types of fish swim above you. "I thought you would."
Like the good friend Sam is, he takes extra precautions to keep you and Bucky as far away from John as humanly possible.
But Sam has to applaud John, if only for his persistence because John Walker will not give up. Even though Bucky's glaring holes into the side of John's head, even though you've made no indication that John's even remotely welcome, heck there's not a single ounce of welcomeness between the three of you. And yet, John seems completely unfazed.
Sam's happy to take this one for the team. He's content watching how happy you look with Bucky. How you read each little notecard in front of each display while Bucky holds your hand and patiently waits for you to finish. How Bucky points out particularly colorful he think you'd like. Or how he tries to impress you with little fun facts that he definitely just read off of the little welcome pamphlet they gave him at the door.
At least for Sam, it's worth listening to John incessantly complain and make sarcastic, bitter remarks the entire afternoon.
You've only made it halfway through the aquarium, John and Sam both at your heels, when you hear on the overhead that the next dolphin show will be in 10 minutes. "Can we go?" you pleadingly ask Bucky.
"Of course," he smiles at you, then bends down to whisper in your ear. "Extra special splash zone, right?"
You can't help the giggle that bubbles out of your mouth as you nod at Bucky.
"Then what are we waiting for?" Bucky wryly teases, leading the way.
And just like promised, all four of you sit in the splash zone, but you pay a little extra attention to deter water away from the three of you and onto John, who's noticeably much more damp by the end of the show.
At the end of the show, you three stand up to leave and only pause when John makes a detour to go introduce himself to one of the trainers.
"What are you doing, John?" Bucky sighs, walking down from the bleachers. John simply ignores Bucky's question, but gestures to you three in his conversation. With a mischievous smirk, John waves the three of you over, introducing you to the trainer.
"He's going to let us feed the dolphins," John smugly declares.
"Really?" you ask, your voice filled with excitement.
"There's perks to being Captain America, sweetie," John loudly tells you. "Or even just being with Captain America."
Bucky loudly sighs, rolling his eyes at brazen come-on. "Real subtle, John."
"Now this, this is what I came here for," Sam remarks, ignoring John and Bucky and rolling up his sleeves. He walks up to the edge of the pool with you right beside him and confidently sticks his hand into the bucket filled with slimy fish.
"Doesn't that feel weird?" you ask, your nose slightly wrinkled at the questionable contents of the bucket.
"Weird as hell. But how often do you get to hand-feed dolphins?"
You nod with a newfound excitement and determination. "Alright, let's do it. Come on, James."
Bucky rolls his neck, already shaking his head. "The things I do for you, Doll."
John rolls his eyes, sticking his hand in the bucket. "I'm sure it's not that-" he stops once his hand is submerged in the contents. He shudders, removing a singular fish, and with a grimace he's walking toward the edge of the pool.
"How much trouble would I get in for pushing him?" Bucky jokes, now standing right next to you.
"A lot, but I'd bail you out."
"Yeah?" he laughs, kissing your temple.
"Sure," you nod again. "I may have to ask Sam how to bail someone out, but I'd do it for you."
-
"I'm going to use the bathroom before the film," John says as you all stand in front of the ticket booth for the short documentary about coral reefs they were playing.
"Well I only have two tickets for the showing, I wasn't exactly expecting two more people to join us," Bucky grumbles, watching John walk off.
"We'll take them," Sam eagerly replies, plucking the tickets from Bucky's hand.
"What?"
"Consider this a favor- another favor," Sam adds. "I'll put up with him for the next hour and a half and you two can go enjoy yourselves."
"Really?" you ask, smiling at Sam.
"It's not like he can just talk through the whole movie. You two get out of here, I'll tell him that you're inside and by the time he realizes you're not, the movie will already be playing."
You tightly hug Sam's shoulders. "Thanks, Sam. I owe you one."
"You owe me like four," he corrects, his tone light and teasing. "You should go before he comes back."
"Right," you agree, taking Bucky's hand and letting him lead you away.
"Where are we going?" you ask once the small theater is out of sight.
"Well, lucky for us- I saved the best for last," he replies, leading you to another section of the aquarium.
"I want you to know that I promised Sam that he could choose the next like four dates we go on." you mention, still slowly strolling to your destination.
He chuckles, "Of course you did."
"I'm sorry," you playfully pout.
He pauses your walk to bend down, gently kissing you. Smiling against your lips, he says, "I'm sure you can find some way to make it up to me."
"I'm sure I will," you hum.
It's only a little more walking through the aquarium when you cross the threshold into a completely different area. It's practically another room, the dim lighting, the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The large clear water tank that extends from floor to ceiling filled with the bluest water you've ever seen.
"This is the jellyfish exhibit," Bucky quietly tells you.
"It's so beautiful," you marvel at the giant jellyfish slowly float past you.
"It is," he agrees, looking at you instead of the jellyfish.
"You're so corny," you tease when you catch him. "I love it."
The two of you sit on a nearby bench, watching the jellyfish flounce past your sight and taking in each other's presence. Your legs are swung over Bucky's lap, practically sitting on his lap. And you two sit there, laughing, talking, enjoying being alone for the first time on this entire date.
You're in the middle of a particularly intense kiss when you hear Sam's familiar voice.
"There you are - we were so worried about you," Sam stiltedly states, very obviously lying.
"You know it's really bad sportsmanship to go AWOL on your fellow team members." John groused the second he spotted the two of you.
Bucky sighs deeply, reluctantly pulling away from you. The two of you quietly sigh as you stand up off of Bucky's lap, Bucky standing up and wrapping an arm around your waist. "It's also rude to invite yourself on dates, but here you are."
"Some date this is. I'd treat you so much better than this, sweetie," John remarks, winking at you.
"You're really starting to piss me off, John," Bucky spits through gritted teeth.
"I mean, really? You could do so much better than him," John condescendingly sighs, staring Bucky down with the most smug of smirks. "I honestly don't know what you see in him. I have a lot more to offer you than a semi-reformed assassin."
Your eyes narrow in suspicion at John, holding out your arm to stop Bucky from lunging at him. "It really bothers you that I'm with James. Why? Why me? Why can't you accept what is?"
"Maybe I just really like you, have you thought of that?"
"Yes," you admit. "I have thought of that, but that's not it. You're- you want to prove something, like I'm an object or something. You want to prove that you can steal me away from them, but you can't. You can't steal me away from James. Or Sam. There's nothing you can say that's going to change that my loyalty will always be to them."
"Maybe I do want you."
"You don't know me," you vehemently object. "And I don't care that you hit on me. I don't care that you constantly flirt with me. I care that you make James uncomfortable. That you make him think he's not enough for me. And that's why I'm going to ask you one last time to back off. Back off or I'm not going to play nice. And I won't tell the two of them to be nice either," you say, your eyes flickering to the two angry men ready to pounce on John.
"You've been spending too much time with the Winter Soldier. He's getting to you."
"Or maybe you just underestimate me."
"I see."
"I mean it, John. I'm not playing your games anymore," you vaguely threaten, taking Bucky's hand. "Now, since we've gone through the entire aquarium, we're going to go finish our date elsewhere."
You and Bucky start to walk away leaving a shockingly quiet John behind you. You've only made it a few feet when you whirl around realizing you're forgetting something very important. You turn around, grinning largely at the man next to John. "Come on, Sam."
"Thank God," Sam sighs in relief, quickly jogging up to join you and Bucky. "So...where are we going?"

Yomi Hellsmile and Martina Electro Relationship Headcanons (GN Reader)
Notes: I got really carried away with these! (O_O;) I was going to write headcanons for them together as well, but this post was getting super long. But if you're interested in that, feel free to send another request, dear! With the way my askbox looks, I'll become the person known for writing about Martina and Yomi. Not complaining tho, lol! I hope you enjoy the fruits of my indulgent labors.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yomi Hellsmile
Getting into a relationship with Yomi would not be easy. He’s standoffish, rude, and devoted to his work. He would have to know you for a long time before even thinking about pursuing a relationship.
Yomi is surprisingly romantic. He knows he’s handsome and how to charm people. As director of the peacekeepers, he can take you out almost anywhere. His preferred places are ones where the two of you can be alone.
Yomi is the possessive type. Like the way Kanai Ward is his city, you are his partner. No one else is allowed to think about you he does. He’s got a nasty jealousy streak as well and isn’t fond of people throwing advances at you.
What he considers advances is vague though. Depending on how he’s feeling that day, someone just speaking to you in a way he didn’t like is eligible to be framed for murder.
Dates are few and far between. He’ll tell you early on that Amaterasu comes first. But sometimes he’ll surprise you with a night out. Yomi would buy out an entire restaurant so you could spend time in private. He enjoys more expensive tastes, so they’ll be decently fancy places.
When it comes to affection, Yomi is on the rougher side. Kissing would usually incorporate some type of biting, his favorite places being the neck and shoulders. He’s a strange man so he’s not above drawing a little blood.
He acts like he’s giving you some grand gift while being affectionate. Even if he’s coming to you for a hug or kiss, Yomi will tease you like you need him. As a fan of being dramatic, he’d go as far as calling himself ‘your savior.’
As much as he likes you, his sadism knows no bounds. He’ll be mean towards you, but in a somewhat loving way. If you mess something up, he’ll be sure to point it out, more than likely laughing. Yomi may or may not help you out, it all relies on his mood.
Want a kiss? That’s too bad, he’s much too busy to entertain you right now. He’ll come to you when he’s ready. Or jump on you the minute you turn your back.
There are two sides that fight inside his brain: one that wants to show you off to every and anyone, and the other that wants to keep his romantic life to himself. The first one usually wins as he can’t keep his hands off you.
If you worked at Amaterasu Corporation, Yomi would seek you out during the workday. Maybe asking you to do tasks for him like gathering files or preparing his afternoon tea. Or he’d have you accompany him on a homicide case. He thinks he can make you swoon by showing off his sense of justice.
If you were a regular Kanai Ward citizen, he would be a bit more private about your relationship. Crime is rampant there and he knows that there are very few, if any at all, people that like him. Yomi doesn’t know what he would do if some disgusting criminals were to harm you because of himself. Yes, he does, and it wouldn’t be pretty.
If you were a detective, it’s just a big mess all around. He wants to see your corpse hanging above his mantle yet craves the feel of your lips crashing against his so bad. Purposefully goes out of his way to be a nuisance in cases you’re working on. Yomi is not above an alleyway make-out session before sending the peacekeepers after you.
Tumblr media
Martina Electro
Martina is a bit easier to court, but she holds herself in high regard and expects the same from her partner. She won’t accept anything less than what she deserves.
Unless you are in a position of power higher than hers, Martina would take more of a leading role in figuring out this relationship. She plans dates out weeks in advance, she is a fan of high-end café’s, shopping, and museum dates.
One fact about Martina that everyone is aware of, she loves talking about her partner. She’ll talk about you when brought up, she’ll talk about you unprompted, she’ll talk about you even if no one is listening. Martina will constantly sing your praises.
If there’s something to know about you, Martina will know it. She knows how you like your food and drinks to be prepared, hobbies, how you prefer your bed to be made. It sounds obsessive, and it kind of is, but this is how she shows her love. Her love language is being involved with your life.
Martina isn’t one to be jealous, she’s pretty secure in her relationships. People know her status as a peacekeeper and won’t come near you anyways. However, that doesn't mean that she doesn’t get possessive. Keeping you near her and in her grasp really gets her going.
Speaking of getting her going, she’s very reactive to affection. If your attention is a drug, she’s addicted to it. Holding her in your arms, kissing her anywhere, will make her flush a deep red. At first, her kissing is very clinical, like she’s analyzing you rather than kissing. But with time, she gets more enthusiastic, more relaxed. She doesn’t mind PDA either if you’re the one dealing it.
Despite her devotion, and borderline obsession, Martina is still her own, headstrong woman. If you do something she doesn’t like, she will be sure to tell you. Unfortunately, she’s stubborn by nature. If it comes down to arguments, it’ll usually be her way or no way until she cools off and gets more level headed.
Maybe it’s the homunculus DNA, but she enjoys your smell. There’s no real rhyme or reason to it. The familiarity of your scent is just something she likes. Borrowing pieces of clothing or spending time wrapped in your blankets are just heavenly. In the comfort of her own home, Martina would love to hold you in her arms, her face buried in your neck or hair. Watch out though, she has a bit of a drooling problem.
Motorcycle dates with Martina! Bring a thick rain coat, or not, she can provide one. She’ll take you out driving around the outskirts of Kanai Ward. There’re not many places that are very scenic, but there are a few places where the two of you can be alone. Make sure to hold on tight because she loves showing off with all types of tricks.
Post game, when she’s working in accounting, Martina will want to have a long talk with you. She knows the way she acted while working under Yomi was awful, and she wants to be completely transparent with you. However, working in an office now gives her more time to spend with you. If you surprised her with lunch one day, she might just die from joy!
If you worked at Amaterasu Corporation, she would want you by her side at all times. Follow her around and help at crime scenes. If you were a common peacekeeper, Martina would have you added to her team. Being her personal assistant is a fun thought. Her cute, devoted assistant that does as she says. But, that’s a post for another time.
If you were a citizen of Kanai Ward, she would be a bit condescending. She’s the beautiful vice director of the peacekeepers and you’re probably some poor office worker. She would talk down to you both unintentionally and intentionally. Nevertheless, she does love you. Martina would absolutely spoil you with gifts and lavish dates.
If you were a detective, she’s going to have a lot of fun tormenting you. Not much makes her happier than a cute face twisting in despair. Unlike Yomi, Martina doesn’t want you dead. No, that would ruin the fun too quickly. She would love to personally crush any hope you had of being a detective in Kanai Ward. She’s aware that she’s attractive and would try to use her charisma into getting you to join Amaterasu.

I showed my mum pictures of every muse on my blog and got some HILARIOUS descriptions of who they are as people, so now I am sharing this.
Please enjoy. I did.
Okay here's my blog promo picture, which is what I used to show her all the muses. I'm going to go row by row and tell you how she described each character (some were in pairs, I'll say when that happened)
Tumblr media
First, Asahi: "Almost like Clark Kent. A geek sat in his office and then he goes and does something amazing." 8/10. He's not superman but he is surprisingly good when he steps onto the court.
Norman: "Wants to be a private eye." 5/10 not quite accurate, but I could see it.
Gemima, who got paired up with Conny: "They're just annoying. Just look at them, you know they're annoying." 1/10 it was funny, but they're very sweet little girls.
Bruce: "Thinks he's gorgeous." 0/10 ma'am you do not know the self-hatred this man possesses.
Kili hilariously got paired with Fili, and my mother said they both look like they're thinking: "Where the fuck did I park my horse?" 25/10. She has never seen the hobbit and I laughed SO HARD because she knew if anyone was going to lose a horse it was those two idiots.
Jedediah was missed because she recognised him and wouldn't have had to guess his character.
Oikawa: "Boring." 2/10 it's funny because he'd be so insulted, but he's far too dramatic to ever be boring.
Ray: "Angry." 10/10 perfectly accurate.
Emma: "A trendsetter." 7/10 Technically she did inspire an entire crazy escape plan, so I'll take it.
Camilo: "The annoying friend who sings everything." 5/10 accurate, but I deducted points because despite loving Encanto and having watched it multiple times, my mum did not recognise Camilo and thought he was a girl XD
Pietro: "Super fast. If he ran it would be fast. If he rode a horse it would be fast. He'd want to be moving fast." 8/10 I think the icon gave her too big a clue (though she said she didn't realise he was running and thought his hand was up because his wrist was broken), but I would LOVE to see Pietro's superspeed transfer to a horse.
Ori: "He has a speech impediment and is a bit slow." 0/10 more of an unfair judgement than my mother usually gives people, and not accurate at all. Ori is very smart and I love him.
Revali: "Bit of a mean bastard." 10/10 perfect yes he is.
Yamaguchi: "Looks shocked at the world." 9/10 he is, in fact, intimidated by most of the world, so I'll accept that as a correct answer.
Kagari: "Wants to be in a boyband." 8/10 not correct but given that my depiction of Kagari is deaf, I did laugh quite hard at the irony.
Don: "Know-it-all. Thinks he knows everyone's secrets and he doesn't." 3/10 Don does like to think he knows more than he does, but he definitely doesn't think he's really super smart and knows everything about everyone.
Bilbo she vaguely recognised (enough to know he was a Hobbit) but had nothing to say about him.
Thaumas: "Physically strong." 6/10 his whole character is he's too pretty and wants to be left alone because too many people are into him, but there's nothing to say he isn't also physically strong.
Viktor: "What happened to it's eyes?" 9/10 I have no words.
Tsukishima: "He has a 'fuck off' expression." 10/10 yes he does.
Hawthorn and Attalea she had nothing to say for because she 'wasn't sure what was happening'.
Damien: "That's Billy Bullshit. He's two-faced." 3/10 technically he keeps the two sides of himself very separate, but he's not mean or bitchy and he's learning to embrace every part of himself and I love him for that.
Piers: "Scary." 6/10 he's a sweetheart but many young pokemon trainers would agree with my mum XD
Miguel: "Geeky gay Jesus." 10/10 not accurate but sheer perfect anyway.
Nori: "He's a wannabe wizard." 9/10 not AT ALL but I loved that anyway.
Tyler: "He wants to be a personal trainer but he can't." 4/10 it was funny but he dresses that way because he's gay and also we have watched Turning Red more than once so again, I don't know how she didn't recognise him at all.
Kenma: "A sulky teenager." 9/10 yep. Yep he is XD
Lucien: "He looks gay." 9/10 he would be very happy to know that he is not being mistaken for a heterosexual being
Jack got missed because, like Jedediah, she knew who he was.
Ryan: "He thinks he's the strongest but he cries if he can't find the red skittles." 10/10 I have NO IDEA why she went for skittles but she's completely right.
Takuto: "Tarty, because she reminds me of somebody." 6/10 well yes, Takuto could be described as a tart, but is not a she, and now I want to know who he reminds her of XD

Slightly less mean (but longer) rephrasing of my text post from yesterday: I think having a girlfriend is the best because it's a girl who is your friend and you can do "friend" things with her. Yeah, you two can also have sex, which is super fun, but it's secondary to your friendship and sometimes not even necessary. I think the ability to have sex with someone is nothing special—sure enough, if I'm to trust the Internet about it, everyone wants to do it and is doing it all the time. You all can't stop bragging about it! What I read decidedly less about is people being friends with their partners. How come nobody is shouting about that from the rooftops? Is it because happy people leave no history? Is it because you're all too embarrassed? Or is it because all you can get out of your intimate relationships is a couple of orgasms and not actual love?
Is that what you really want? Would you really prefer the former over the latter, if both were offered to you? Is everyone's mind so clouded by being single and touch deprived that all you can think about is someone handling your body? I've been with the same person since I was a teenager for about a decade and a half, and I've never felt that pain, so I genuinely don't get it. Like Blanca says, in relation to her love for Pedro Tercero in Allende's House of the Spirits, she cannot comprehend the other girls' suffering, the horrible pangs of longing that they feel for their dream boys in school, not when she's had what they've all wanted since she was 13.
I think this kind of urge, wanting to love someone but not getting it, this kind of urge, if not fulfilled, gets corrupted into just wanting sex as a proxy for true intimacy. I like to think everyone used to be a romantic at one point in their life before their hopes got disappointed, sometimes to such a pitch that they swore off trying to love someone for the rest of their lives. Then their intimate lives become a string of short relationships, casual sex and trying every kink under the sun just to feel something. Hey, if the person you're currently with shares your kink, you might even pretend that you've made something more than what is unfortunately, in most cases, just a superficial connection!
If I weren't disabled now and could still draw pain-free, I'd have half a mind to just go balls to the wall with my artistic output, I'd dramatize the relationship with my partner in comic form, I'd demonstrate by example, I'd show you how good you all could have it, you know, man, the Pop Team Epic lifestyle! but alas! Perhaps even if I could do that, even if I did do that, you still wouldn't get it.
And really, would I care to do it for you? All you do all day is reblog horny mousegirls with fat tits and you dare to imply, by the magnitude of your posting output, that yours is the life to live. The life of longing, rather than the life of having. You dare propagandize to me without my consent, you dare imply that I am the two-bit loser for not wanting to stick it into every vaguely hot person on the street, you spit on fidelity because you've never experienced it. Even worse, if you do love somebody in your life, you still feel like you need to fit in with the crowd of horny people around your age, you're performatively sexually available in order to be socially acceptable. How spineless. Yeah, you assholes. This is about me being better than you! And how I'm targeted for it! I am beset by enemies on all sides!! I'm basically just like a Dostoevsky protagonist!!! ahahaha
okay, sorry for posting lesbian screeds on main. you knowwww....... but, you know. :) all i can do on this earth is put out a kind of energy—love, care and infinite kindness—into my art, the kind of energy I think deserves to be represented more in pictures. I suppose I've been unconsciously doing it for a long time already, well I guess this is my manifesto that I'll keep at it, going forward. Miss me with that capitalist shit of selling cheap facsimiles depicting soulless sex to the young, lonely and desperate. i refuse to engage in it, it's irresponsible to my fellow travellers on earth.
peace, if you have a friend, kiss them on the cheek today :>

hi bee! so i have been trying to get into writing. it's something that i really want to do. but i have so many ideas and i just can't stick to one of them for the life of me! one week i'll be super passionate for one of my ideas and the next i've thought of something even more appealing to write. do you have any tips for how to keep on track?
oh I know this struggle. it's something you have to work on, but it's also something I've found improves for a lot of people as they get older? at least that's what i've found. even if it's not an age thing though, you'll still get better at sticking with one idea the more you write. all aspects of writing, including sticking to a single idea is like working a muscle. you have to learn how to dive into a story so deep, you don't want to leave it to work on anything else because there's so many ways you could go with it and the exploration of the ideas and characters feels endless.
basically what I'm saying is that there's no easy solution for how to stick with a single idea outside of just practicing it. but also don't make yourself miserable forcing yourself to stick to one idea if you really don't want to write it anymore. writing should be something you enjoy. if you're no longer having fun with a story, drop it. the more you write in general, the better you'll get at sticking with one thing for longer and longer. and you're going to have an easier time practicing your writing if you're actually having a good time with what you're doing.
if you really want to try and stick to one idea though, I'd recommend brainstorming unexpected directions for the plot to take. try not to plan things out entirely before you start writing. you can have a vague direction for where the story is headed, and i'd recommend knowing your ending, but keep things in the middle a mystery. I've found that that helps keep me invested quite a bit more than if i know the entire story ahead of time. brainstorm unexpected directions for the plot to take. think of new settings you can throw the characters in to progress the story while also giving you exciting new things to write about. keep it interesting for yourself! enrich your story brain like a tiger in a zoo enclosure. throwing in a dramatic dinner party plot beat is the writer brain equivalent of throwing the tiger a new rubber ball to play with
hope this helps!

Wish review 🌟 | Analysis
Tumblr media
I just saw Wish today. I loved it. It was funny, it was lovable, it was cute, the songs were great too. It's not a big movie as the story isn't so groundbreaking and super dramatic. But not everything has to be. You can't compare this movie to Frozen, Encanto or any other Disney movie because it's its own movie. Definitely a classic I will say. If you're looking for something chill, not or big of a story, something simple and light-hearted, touching at times then this is your movie. I guess everyone's used to big changing stories which is why it's not so attracted to audiences. The story was a shirt so it did feel like things were happening a little fast but that doesn't overshadow it too much. And like I said it's not anything like Frozen as some initially thought it'd be. And I'm not just being biased, but Frozen is on another level especially with where the franchise is headed. But that's not to say Wish isn't fun and worth watching. It's just a more simple, cute, fun story. Fun trying to catch the Easter eggs too.
Now for the characters. Spoilers below!
Let's start with Asha. She's a great protagonist who is only doing what her family and Rosa deserve. So selfless. She wants to grant her grandfathers who turns 100 and her mother's Wish, and in order to do it she signs up as Magnifico's apprentice. But when she cuts to the question after "At all costs". Magnifico doesn't grant the wishes until a month to a year later so because she asked as soon as she gave hers it got to him and he snaps which gets Asha to learn he'll never give the wishes back. She goes through a lot in this movie but doesn't give up. If we're going by personality she's a bit like Anna and Rapunzel in the sense that she's a little goofy and quirky but she's got less than those characters do.
Magnifico, a very interesting and loved villain. Honestly I don't remember his backstory because he only tells Asha and it's very vague. But due to events of his past he wants to avoid, he keeps the wishes to himself to keep Rosa safe. But I guess as he became powerful, greed and power hunger came to him. He loves his wife a lot and listens to her mostly but it's not until he gains more magic from the book that gives him his powers in the first place that he turns evil and more power hungry. He even threatens his wife, Queen Amaya. His song "This is the thanks I get?!" is quite catchy and one of the best songs in the movie. To his defeat the power of people's wishes and Star brings them the strength to defeat Magnifico having him out in a mirror. There was no other way to cure him so because he would only get more evil putting in the mirror was his only option.
Amaya, the real Queen of hearts. Amaya has to be my favourite character. She felt like a mother to Asha, her friends, star and the animals. She didn't side with her husband until she saw how evil he had really become. She's quite pretty and very much reminds me of Elsa which I'll get to in another post.
Asha's friends. I like them being a nod to the seven dwarfs. That was nice. They were lovely and supportive in their own right way. But then there's Simon. Who tells Magnifico about Asha stealing wishes because well... I don't honestly remember but it wasn't a logical reason in my opinion. Magnifico grants him his wish in return only to make him evil too. Then at the end he apologises and all is forgiven. But then you wonder what the point of his betrayal was. I mean in the beginning all of the friends call him boring which is quite sad. Like who says that to their friend? This isn't his reason for the evil turn either so..
Star and Valentino. I loved Star and Valentino . They're chaotic duo. Star is very cute and Valentino is well interesting..
Conclusion:
Now though this movie has its few flaws like all movies do and though it's not a big blockbuster that doesn't mean it deserves the hate it gets. A Disney movie can be chill and simple. But I understand that it's a film that marks 100 years of Disney and it didn't lead to their expectations but it's still got that Disney element to it. And so I loved it. A Disney classic for sure ✨

Top 5 non-big three mecha (Gundam, Getter, Mazinger)
oh shit I forgot to answer this in a timely manner! Assuming you mean shows/games as a whole, not individual mechs? If thats not what you meant just tell me and I'll try and make a list of those as well. Anyways:
5) Martian Successor Nadesico: one of the first mecha I ever watched, and something I'll always respect for its ability to run both comedic and dramatic stories so intertwined without much unintended whiplash for the viewer. I ended up never finishing it due to IRL circumstances
4) Armored Core: While the settings are universally pretty dark by my standards, FromSoft's usual storytelling leaves things vague enough for me to tolerate it. Gen 2 AC greatly influenced how I feel a mech "should" move in a 3d space when I imagine one.
3) Patlabor: Like Nadesico, is a fascinating premise able to run both comedic and dramatic storylines, though Patlabor keeps them largely separated. A lot of the designs have that elusive "just unrealistic enough to be fun" quality to them that makes me find Real Robots so interesting. The soundtrack has quite a few hits as well. Didn't finish the TV series due to streaming services changing, but love the OVA and first 2 movies.
2) Macross Plus: A part of me wants to put the whole franchise here, but considering how variable the musical style, animation quality, and overall tone can get between different entries, I chose the one I'm most familiar with. Its mysteriously nostalgic to me, something about the music, something about that late 90's early 2000s era its from, I'm not fully sure.
1) Super Robot Wars Original Generations (Games, Not Shows): It almost feels like cheating, putting this here. SRW OG has a little of everything the mecha genre has to offer while remaining both legally and tonally distinct from all of it. But an aspect I love it for that I rarely hear talked about is how well it Gradually Escalates from a reasonably grounded (for a sci-fi) setting to the Rule Of Cool Shenanigans its more well known for without the player really feeling a big disconnect until more than a few games into the saga. And for something that is still technically a crossover, that is no small feat. Also the soundtrack is consistently incredible, especially comparing the GBA versions to other games on the system.
(Honorable mentions to the Front Mission series and Dai Guard, FM doesnt make the list because every game I've played has some irksome mechanic that annoys me, Dai Guard doesn't make the list because I've only watched like 3 episodes so far)

In response to your post, I'm curious as to what your outlining process is like. Do you do it entirely in chronological order, or do you separate out different plots and subplots and work them out to the end before weaving them all together?
I don't outline.
I very, VERY seldom work anything out on paper or digitally -- the closest I'll come is if I've got a complicated chapter with a lot of POVs and moving parts I'll sometimes do a thing with index cards (nearly always after I've already written the bulk of scenes) where I put each POV character's name and a very brief description of the scene on each card and lay them out so I can see what's going on, but since right now I usually don't have more than two POV characters in a story, it's been a minute since I've done that. (The last time was for Morning 9.) More often I'll essentially think out loud in chat at a friend or very occasionally on Twitter, but that's just going "hey, wouldn't it be cool if?" or "do you think XYZ would work?"
Mostly what I do is work through a story mentally. I have what I call keystone scenes, what are the dramatic scenes that I then build the rest of the story around -- ideally I'll have a couple in the beginning, a couple in the middle, and a couple near the end.  These tend to be very visually and/or emotionally dramatic scenes.  I’ll then build the rest of the story around them, working out the best way to get from one scene to another, but I almost never write any of that down, and it can all change in progress.  For example, Thor was not originally intended to come back in Yonder -- I wanted to keep the possibility open so I put the seeds of “they never found a body” in Chapter 2, but I didn’t decide for certain for a few more chapters. The 2012 Thor and Loki conversation wasn’t planned.  The summoning of the Nine wasn’t originally planned.  What was planned for Yonder, the original keystones, were the scenes where 2023 Loki knocks out 2012 Loki, the scene during the Time Heist where Loki has to take a moment with the Tesseract while Steve and Natasha are waiting, and the final scene with Loki and Natasha’s conversation.  That’s it.  I built the rest of the story out from there to make sure I could get those scenes; the two Time Heist scenes stayed pretty much as they had originally been envisioned (up until Thor’s arrival, the Loki and Natasha conversation was originally going to take place in the kitchen of the Avengers compound, because I didn’t decide until relatively late that I wanted to include 2014 Thanos’s arrival and a battle sequence.  The Hulk being the Vormir sacrifice was planned from the start but wasn’t a keystone scene since there’s not actually...a scene attached.  The longer I work on a story the more keystones will develop, so I always have more scenes I’m building to/around.  (And I do occasionally cut keystone scenes if they don’t work out once I get there -- there’s one from Backbone that never made it in.)
For me it’s kind of a combination of puzzle pieces and connective tissue (these are all very mixed metaphors).  I spend a lot of time working out how to get scenes I want in and if they make sense and how to tie them in together, and I almost always have a vague idea of where I’m ultimately going -- sometimes the idea of the specific scene, sometimes in terms of character development (like, I know Bruce is not going back to New Asgard at the end of Horizon and that’s going to lead directly into the Professor Hulk development, but I didn’t know exactly what from the events of Horizon were going to lead to him making that decision until last week), but it’s all very flexible.  Horizon was always going to be about the super soldier serum.  Steve was always going to get kidnapped.  I then had to figure out who was going to do that and how they were going to manage it.  The Red Room was not the original big bad even if Madame B was; Sterns was always going to be there, but Hammer was going to play a bigger role until I started writing and there’s just never been an opportunity for him to be on the screen.  There’s a cut subplot from Horizon about the black market for the super soldier serum that I started writing and just did not work.  I wanted to get Yelena into this story but I had to figure out how to do so in such a way that neither Loki nor Steve actually meets her, since they meet for the first time in Yonder.  Horizon was originally intended to have more flashbacks than have ended up on the page, but they didn’t work anymore after Steve got kidnapped.
But yeah, I don’t outline.  I do plot, but it’s very flexible; I’ve run myself into corners numerous times in the past, which is why for years I wrote 1-3 chapters ahead.  (I actually had to break myself of this coming into the MCU because it was messing with my head.)  I usually know a rough sketch of the events of upcoming chapters, but not specifics.  (I was bouncing some stuff about Horizon off Reena this past weekend, but kept going “this is definitely happening, but I’ll feel out XYZ depending on what feels right when I get there.”)  I do write the scenes in each chapter in order -- I’ll sometimes go back in edits and add in another scene if I feel like one’s missing, but more often what I’m doing is filling out material.  I don’t plot that out in advance.  Right now I’m writing with very limited POVs, which helps -- I’ll occasionally write flashbacks out of order and keep them in my back pocket, but the flashbacks in Horizon 3 and 6 were both written in the same order they appear in the story, back and forth with the main timeline scenes.

Animorphs Book 3- The Encounter
A Tobias PoV story. Tobias is probably my favourite character (along with everyone's favourite Andalite), and this book reminded me so much of why he's my favourite. In what seems like a completely contradictory statement, it was overwhelmingly sad how much he struggled in this book over his identity. I related to him a lot growing up, but while part of it was the cool freedom he had with no school and other activities, I can recognise now that a big part of it was more related (and not intending to be dramatic or anything) to that feeling of feeling trapped and not fitting in with others, wanting to do so many things but being unable to do them while seeing my peers able to do it. That's a struggle not uncommon to teenagers, but to lots of marginalised groups as well, but few other books I've read really get you to feel that in your gut, like an empty pit as you wonder what everyone else is doing with their time when you aren't around, what they might think or say about you, and whether you are really included and part of the group or if you're just kind of tolerated and get by.
To me, this book struck the both at core of humanity (empathy, belonging, emotions that are mostly uniquely human, etc), and what it can feel like for any group to not fit in with "everyone".
Cassie is through and through an emapth, in that she's shown to understand what other living beings experience (animals and humans) and she can reflect that feeling without making it about herself and she's open to being wrong about any of her reflections.
Rachel, Jake, and Marco continue to also all have their own personalities developed in the books through their own actions and reactions to things. Whereas in other stories the author would tell you details about the person and their personality, Animorphs continues to show it, which I really love and appreciate about it.
Final thoughts about this one, they're all so young and so afraid that it really creates a gripping story for me because I must keep reading to make sure they're okay in what happens next, especially in moments where they've settled on the fact that they might die and they still jump into the situation. I know super vaguely from the internet that the story isn't a 'hold your hand, everything is gonna be okay' tale, but here I am, holding my own hand and saying, "everything is gonna be okay".
(so far I've managed to keep these mainly spoiler free even though the books have been out for decades and there are probably spoilers out there. But if any of my future posts do have anything spoiler ish, I'll try to remember to tag them at the beginning of the post)

Catching up on the MCU!
:readmore:
Black Widow:
I think I'd be more into this movie if Natasha wasn't super fucking dead.
Yelena is great.
The family thing stretches suspension of disbelief, but since none of them had anything even close to stability after that, I'll buy it.
Quit torturing the pigs!
After Red Guardian being a joke I expected the fight with Taskmaster to be either a joke or a damn, he can fight moment, and it was turned out to be a more realistic, even fight. That's cool.
There's an potential army of maybe superpowered, definitely top trained BWs out there. Sure, they probably want different lives, but judging by the end of the movie they won't be against a team up. That's very cool.
Natasha could have leveraged all this into a pardon (and maybe did, since she apparently met up with Ross?) and still she immediately goes "prison break time, baby".
Rewatch: Maybe for Yelena.
Shang-Chi:
The rings go back and forth between looking cool and looking really dumb.
Me: "The monsters sounds Cthulu-ish."
Also me: *no reaction to the name Dweller-in-Darkness.*
Katy's cool, and having her be useful by practicing the bow and arrow, and then hitting a giant target that's standing still is a good way of making her useful, without making it too much.
I think Trevor survives because people let him talk and then realize he's basically living in a different reality and can't be blamed for his actions.
Morris is adorable.
Wish there'd been more of the forest, that was a great bit of horror.
Really like how Shang is just rolling with the plot. Man is delightfully chill about it, all things considered.
Also like how it, despite the world-ending threat, feels more like a very dramatic, fighty family drama. Dad was a great tragic, villain. Not to mention must have been very good with horses.
So sis is not shutting down anything, huh.
Wong is always cool.
Rewatch: Definitely.
Eternals:
Too long. Can we put a two-hour limit on these.
Constantly mind-wiping people, making them fight to protect people and then expecting them to step aside and let everyone die. Yeah, that was going to end badly at some point.
That said, "Humanity is special" got taken a bit too far, I think. After millions of years, this is where you get cold feet? Not entirely buying it.
How many people were the deviants eating anyway, if they were slowing down the emergence?
Normal boyfriend (Dane?) was surprisingly likeable.
Bollywood guy is kinda funny. I don't like him, but I'd keep him around.
Nooo, Gilgamesh! Too likeable to live. Thena is somehow supercool and forgettable at the same time.
Ikarus or whatever had obviously evil written aaall over him, and the indoor eyebeam scene was still a good way to show how little he cares about people. Shame he's also boring. Why is it always the powerful one that decides to go full asshole? To have a big fight, I know, I know. And then the fucker just flies into the sun.
Tinkerbell girl is the worst, though the rock to the head was hilarious. Quit whining and learn to style yourself as an adult. Half your problems solved, right there.
Absolutely love the deviant design. A bit rubbery-looking, but the vaguely skinned look with tentacles is working for me.
Sersi is not... a very good leader. Maybe next movie. Her costume just makes me think of a Green Lantern.
Druig is on the ball throughout the entire movie, and he doesn't even know how much. More of that guy.
Makkai is likable, but seems to be mostly around for moving people out of the way. Wouldn't mind seeing more of her though.
Phastos rules. Sure, dickhead broke free, but that trap was way more effective than I thought it would be.
So the dead baby Celestial is just hanging out in the ocean now. Neat. Will in no way be a problem in the future.
Wonder how many people is digging into old family legends these days.
Rewatch: Nah. Stopped caring as soon as the movie was over.
Multiverse of Madness:
I had hoped the "you break rules, you're a hero, I break rules, I'm a villain" would be more than standard villain bullshit, but I'm not sure it would have been as fun as watching Wanda go full villain all over the place. Because it is extremely fun.
I appreciate the speed of plot here. Straight to the point, no holding back the reveal.
Love the visuals.
Lol at Strange casually burying himself.
Love the implication that Strange is kicking Mordo's ass on the regular.
So the Illuminati are clearly supposed to be great heroes, but aside from Xavier they all seem like... well, kinda dickish. Also, lol at Black Bolt's death. That just looked dumb. Reed, this is why we don't tell the bad guy what powers people have, even if you're trying for a peaceful talk-down.
That's a hard no the the 616 stuff.
Fuck yeah, self-possessed zombie Stephen and multiplying rotten hands!
Wong seems to have hit a "this might as well happen" point. No wonder, really. Shame about his... assistant?, she seemed cool, and she did manage to wreck the Darkhold.
Feel like they could have done more with America, but at least she's introduced now, and her crystal star portals look great.
Ever word Wanda says just hammers home how badly she's lost it, especially the "every mom makes her kids by magic" line, but the "I wouldn't hurt anyone" line takes it to a whole new level. Lady, you're half a minute away from throwing the kids through a wall, and you're definitely fucking them up emotionally. True A+ MCU parenting.
Just ending it like that, huh. From dramatic screaming to everything is fine, next adventure.
Rewatch: Don't know. Plot's fine, but a lot of the fun was tied into the spectacle and not knowing what happened next.
Love & Thunder:
I wanted actual adventures with Thor and the GotG, so that was a disappointing start. Well, the actual beginning of the movie was good.
I'm amazed there are asgardians left at this point.
I fucking hate Korg. How dare the movie hopespot me with his death and then not follow through on it.
This Thor is the worst Thor.
The new armor was nice tough. The black one, the other one looked like plastic.
The humour in this movie does not work for me. How is it possible to be even worse than the rest of the MCU when it comes to letting emotional moments stand?
Except for the "half our warriors are always dead" joke, that was hilarious.
Mjolnir in pieces was awesome.
I wish Valkyrie had feelings.
The Shadow realm was really creepy. Gorr appearing during story time was very dad-ish, like a monster version of a dad telling dumb jokes.
The kids fighting was half cool, half ridiculous, but I dig the Princess cutting a monster in two and the one with the rabbit.
Boo, don't be a quitter, Gorr. But lol at Gorr's kid actually being named Love. Go for a namechange, kid, it's a bit much. At least she's with the Asgardians, they've got "everyone I love died" down to an art by now.
Sif dying of actual battlewounds won't get her to Valhalla, but Jane dying of cancer, a disease, does get there. Not very consistent, these rules. Did Thor accidentally wish her there or something.
Unless it's less dying in battle, and more heroic sacrifice they're going for. Not very heroic to lie there and die when you can get up and get help.
Ending was cute. Tiny girl with giant weapon is always cute.
Rewatch: No.

I'm quite (read: very) curious about The Magician and BGCD. Can I have some fun facts about those WIPs lol—
Oh howdy! I haven't actually spoken about my wips on here in a hot minute, so it's nice to have an excuse to talk about them. Thank you!
The Magician is currently my main wip! I built it around my superhero special interest, so it's the easiest one to get my brain to engage with consistently. I really need to redo the intro I have up for it because it's kind of outdated at this point, but I can still hit you with some fun facts!
This wip is kind of an homage to some classic superhero media like the 60s era Batman show or the old Superfriends cartoon. I just think modern superheroes tend to take themselves way too seriously. (And you can't tell me that this isn't peak supervillain behavior.)
It was originally going to be a more traditional superhero story with Ms. Psychic as the protagonist, but I wrote a couple scenes from April's pov to try to get to know her better, and she just totally stole the show.
I was apparently projecting some of my autistic traits onto April a couple of years before I even knew I that I'm autistic, which I think is pretty cool to be able to look back and see. April's autism diagnosis is technically a spoiler, but whatever. It actually plays a pretty big role in her character arc later on.
It's going to be a trilogy! Incredibly vague spoilers, but book one is about April trying to make it as a big name supervillain through a bunch of wacky antics, and books two and three are going to be all about her redemption arc after some things happen that make her realize that maybe becoming a supervillain wasn't such a great idea.
One of my favorite reoccurring jokes is that most of April's friends turn out to be some flavor of asexual. She's just like, "Yeah, I'm the Magician! Of course I'm great at finding aces!"
This wip has a huge cast and only like two cishets lmao.
April is just such a dramatic little shit, and I love her so much. This bitch really decided that the only real superhero in the whole city is Her Nemesis and spends like half of book one being mad at her for fighting other supervillains.
April is definitely a Dumbass Gay™. This causes So Many Problems while she's trying to hide her secret identity from her girlfriend because she's just so afraid that Claire wouldn't actually like her if she knew the truth. This spirals so far out of control (RIP).
BGDC has actually been on hiatus for a while because I was having major issues with some plot stuff, and it was stressing me out way too much. I think I have a solution to those issues, so I'll probably be working on it again as soon as ADHD brain is cooperative enough to let me fix my outline. If all goes well, it might be my wip for NaNoWriMo!
Anyways, I've got a few fun facts for you!
BGDC actually stands for Be Gay Do Crime because I've been too lazy to come up with a proper title for this wip. (The Magician technically isn't a proper title either rip)
This wip has a way smaller cast than a lot of my other stories. It's been a bit of a struggle for me, ngl, but I guess that's just something that happens with road trip stories.
Juliet's bastardization arc is a very Fun Time. She starts off as a relatively normal person who was just put in a very bad situation, but things just keep spiraling from there, especially as she gets closer to Irene, who is a Very Bad Influence™.
Irene has a metric fuckton of Backstory Trauma™. A lot of it kind of boils down to the fact that she grew up in a tiny religious farm town in Texas in the 70s, which was not a great time or place to be a queer woman.
Irene tries to keep up the gruff serial killer type persona she's got going on, but honestly she softens up a ton when Juliet's around. She's just,,,, Very Gay.
I've got some fun Crimes planned for this wip! There's some murder, some bank robbery, some good old fashioned running from the police, but I think my favorite would have to be that super gay jewelry store heist where steal engagement rings for each other. It's a weirdly sweet moment.

hellooo! i'm new here on tumblr and i was just wondering if you had any good blog recs that are larry-related? i'm noticing that people on here have way more info than on twitter (as well as just being overall less confusing haha) so i wanted to check out some blogs to just make my experience in the fandom a bit better. thank you so much!!
Me trying to decide between being helpful and gatekeeping my favourite blogs:
Tumblr media
Alright, the helpful side won, damn my parents for raising me to share and be kind.
So first off, quick disclaimer: please try your best to follow Tumblr fandom rules when going to these people and don't be rude to them because they're amazing and I love them so if you mess with them I will track you down and make Hell look like an all-expenses-paid trip to Ibiza.
Now that that's out of the way, here are my favourite blogs, the ones I check every day and got me through the research stage when I actually started to get involved in all things fandom:
@twopoppies: queen of fic recs, always has good discourse, her anons can be very sus sometimes so we keep an eye out for those, perfect mix of kind and sassy, wrote this absolute masterpiece that everyone should read and I couldn't resist mentioning
@daisiesonafield-blog: our lord and saviour, her blog is so organised it can only be the work of a witch because no ordinary human has as much patience as she does to keep it all so neat, pretty much every resource you could need as a Larrie can be found on her blog, it's like having your mom give you a little pamphlet with the location of every single item in your house cause you always forget that the red shirt is in the bottom left drawer. As if that wasn't enough, she's also smart, kind, and runs the @larrytimelines blog, so that really just proves my theory that she isn't actually real, just a figment of our imagination
@indiaalphawhiskey: the Biggest of all the Brains, she puts things you only vaguely imagine into coherent words, just God Tier theories and discourse that blow my mind every time I read them. She also wrote Our Lives, Non-Fiction which is fairly well-known on Twitter, at least in my circles, although my personal favourite is Barefoot In Blue Jeans. Overall, if it has words, she's amazing at it.
@awesomefringey: the nicest person I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with, and I sincerely admire her patience. Leading expert in all things thirst over Larry, but scrolling through her blog will also cause you breakdowns 9/10 times cause she's always putting Larry gifs on our dash. She's the dramatic aunt at family gatherings that'll sneak you vodka when your parents aren't looking while also offering to get you to bed when you inevitably get smashed.
@lesbianslovelouis: the SASSIEST and we LOVE IT, she says things like they are, no filtering, no bullshit, just so genuine and honest you can't help but love her. Also at the start of some very important discussions such as Louis' very soft elbows, the Broli secret relationship, and the "Harry is a mermaid, Louis is a cat" ongoing investigation. quick disclaimer tho, if you want to go to her blog, you better follow Tumblr rules and not be an obnoxious and entitled dick otherwise she'll eat you alive and I'll enjoy every second of it
@skepticalarrie: yet another one with a super-organised blog (seriously which demon did you make a pact with to keep it that nice? I don't understand how). Smart, smart, smart, I've been going through some of her lyric analysis from HS3 lately and it's just so well-done, it makes you see things you maybe hadn't noticed before but make SO MUCH SENSE. Also has a bunch of explanations for things that make us scratch our heads like the "Louis and Harry are mortal enemies" narrative
@genuinemusic: my go-to for all things HS3. Her analysis of AIW is an absolute masterpiece and I can't wait for the rest. Also so cool to read her first listens to the album cause you're already getting a taste for the analysis and I'm nothing if not a whore for deep thinking, it's the English student in me.
@cuethetommo: business queen, the best blog to go to for anything ticket-related, whenever I'm sad I just go through her ASK ME WHY I LOVE HARRY STYLES and MOST BEAUTIFUL BOY tags and then I'm good again. Also has a really organised blog, and her HARRY MERCH tag always makes me feel better when I get angry that Harry's merch honestly sucks
@hellolovers13: my big sister loml, they have the greatest fics (we beta each other's fics too so they're a big part of mine), number 1 niall fan, also a big taylor fan so obviously we love. just overall an amazing person that everyone should follow. they keep me updated on pretty much all things fandom bc I've been very out of touch lately lmao
@lovingstheantidote: literally an amazing blog, joins me sabine and co for thirst time, always has very good opinions and thoughts, and just such a sweet and lovely person (except for when we're thirsting in which case it's time to sin). 10/10 blog, love it
@ladychlo: another amazing blog that I check on the daily because they're just hilarious really and if they're not making posts that make me smash the reblog button, they're reblogging them themselves which makes for a very nice dash for me. a must-have, I would say
as for update accounts, the only two you need are @dailytomlinsonson and @stylesnews which also happen to be the larry love story of tumblr, we ship them so hard as we fucking should tbh
Those are the ones I keep up with the most, even tho there's tons of good people out there that you should definitely check out, so don't be afraid to just branch out on your own, check out random blogs, see if their blog is something you could keep up with.
Since you're from Twitter, there's one main thing you should know about this: NO ONE CARES ABOUT FOLLOWERS. We believe in curating your experience, so follow whoever you want, unfollow whoever you want, and don't worry about saying the wrong thing cause it won't bring in more followers. Tumblr is the best place for you to just be yourself without the fear of being judged or cancelled.
Edit: here is a list of general Tumblr guidelines, and here is a list more catered to the 1D/Larry side of things, I recommend reading both.

"Keiko-- Keiko, it's two PM!" I said into the phone, sending an apologetic look to my coworkers. "And I'm at work. You can't be calling me, especially when you're drunk so early in the day."
"Uggghhhh, you're so mean!" I sighed softly at Keiko's response, the office phone on my desk beginning to ring.
"Keiko, I have to go now, I'm sorry! Call Taichi and tell him to bring you home."
"Wait-"
I ended the call, rubbing my eyebrows as I picked up the other phone. "Armed Detective Agency, how may I help you?"
It's been around three months since I've started working at the Agency, and I have to say, it was a pretty great job. It paid well, kept me on my toes with the many different cases we took on, and my coworkers were great... despite how weird they were.
"That's like the seventh time your friend called you this week," Ranpo spoke up from his desk, the man literally surrounded by snack wrappers.
I sighed deeply, rubbing my eyebrows. "I know, I'm sorry everyone. She's not usually like this... I know she likes to drink, but... never to this extent."
"Maybe there is something going on?" the cute Atsushi suggested and I frowned. "Maybe you can try to find out?"
"It wouldn’t be wise to just push yourself into someone's private life like that," Kunikida added and I nodded in agreement.
Of course I couldn't. Not with who her boyfriend was. I was her best friend, but even I knew not to step in. "Besides, she always says she's okay when I ask..." I said thoughtfully, too distracted to continue my work. I could believe her, right? Besides, she had Taichi. He loved her, and always made sure that she was protected and taken care of. He always made sure to be around her when he wasn't away, keeping her to his side at all times. I thought maybe he was being a bit too protective, but I also understood because of his... profession.
"Alright, alright, we have a schedule, people. Let's not get too distracted here," Kunikida exclaimed and I laughed softly. The only one with a schedule was the super punctual man himself, but I still went on to do my work.
"Speaking of work..." I started, unimpressed as I Iooked to the empty desk across the office. "Where the hell is Dazai?"
Atsushi just hung his head and sighed, Kunikida gritting his teeth at his desk. "I tried calling him but he wouldn't pick up," Atsushi sighed again and I huffed, standing up from my desk. "I'll take my 30 now. I'll be in the cafe and I'll try to get Dazai to bring his scrawny ass to work."
The Agency was on the fourth floor of the building while the cafe was down on the first, very convenient for me. I was lazy and the coffee and food was good. I dialed up Dazai's number as I descended the four flights of stairs, pressing my phone to my ear.
At the top of one flight, I stopped when I heard a familiar ring tone blare out, and when I looked down to the bottom of the stairs, I saw the man of the hour. His brown hair was wavy as ever, his signature tanned jacket looking immaculate. I watched as he just looked at his phone, watching it ring before he put his phone in his pocket.
I hated him. "So you were just gonna ignore me?!" I shouted down the stairs. Dazai whipped his head up, eyes going comically wide.
"Bella!" he exclaimed, practically running up the stairs right towards me. I gasped and back away quickly, back hitting the wall as Dazai caged me between his bandaged arms. His forehead pressed against mine and I will my face not to burn as he looked at me with those pretty brown eyes of his. "I missed you."
My heart skipped a beat, my mouth going dry. Still, I glared up at the man. "We just saw each other yesterday," I gritted my teeth, trying to ignore the feeling of his soft breath against my face. I was thankful my voice didn't crack. "And you have plenty of paperwork to do still on your desk."
"Ehhh, I'm tired and I'm busy," Dazai nonchalantly waved that off, now standing away from me and waving his hand dismissively. "Got better things to do."
I scoffed and crossed my arms over my chest. "Yeah? Like what?"
With that, Dazai took my hands in his, a hopeful look on his face. Here we go again. "Double suicide."
"No." I immediately declined him. "My answer is still the same as it was last week."
Dazai visibly deflated, covering his eyes dramatically. "Sweet death... she evades me yet again..."
"Yeah," I deadpanned, brushing past Dazai and heading down the stairs. "Anyway. I'm heading to the cafe to get something to eat."
"Oh!" Dazai exclaimed, hooking my arm with his as he quickly came up to my side. "I'll go with you!"
"You have work to do!" I yelled at him, trying to push him back up the stairs. "Go before Kunikida has an aneurysm."
"But I don't wanna!" Dazai whined, quickly turning the tables on me. Now he was behind me, his arms wrapped around me and pinning my arms to my chest. I felt his breath against my left ear and I shivered deeply. "I wanna spend time with you..." he whispered softly, his voice dropping. I bit my bottom lip, looking over at him over my shoulder. I shivered again, the usual brightness in his eyes gone. I've only seen that look on his face a handful of times, and it never failed to make me feel completely on edge. Like I was in danger.
I liked it.
"Ugh," I sneered, rolling my eyes and shaking myself out of his arms. "Fine, fine. I'll treat today, okay?"
"Yay!" Dazai's jovial nature returned as he followed me to the cafe. I shake my head at the strange duality of the man. We sat across from each other, the redheaded waitress named Lucy that obviously had a crush on Atsushi giving us some menus.
As I looked over the menu, I looked over at Dazai, the man humming as he mulled over his choices. I bit the inside of my cheek, just feeling that maybe there was more to Dazai than he let on.
Tumblr media
The weekend soon arrived and I was in a bit of a sour mood. I was at the boardwalk, sitting on an empty bench after getting off the phone with Keiko. We were supposed to spend the day together, but she had called me thirty-minutes late, all of a sudden saying that she couldn't make it.
Her tone of voice worried me, she sounded rushed and breathless, totally unlike her. "I'm okay. I'm sorry for flaking out so suddenly," she said before she ended the call. I blinked at the screen, a bit put off by the entire thing. Just what was up with her?
Though I couldn't dwell on it, for there was a presence behind me. "Well, well, look what we have here," a teasing voice whispered into my ear before blowing into it. I shrieked, jumping off the bench before spinning around.
"Dazai!" I hissed at the laughing man standing on the other side of the bench. "You scared the crap out of me!"
"Bet it got your heart pumping, huh," Dazai hummed happily, skipping around the bench and right over to me. "Bella, I missed you~" he hugged me tightly in his arms. I sighed deeply, half-heartedly wrapping my arms around him in return and giving him a pat on the back.
"We saw each other yesterday."
"Eighteen hours is too long, bella."
I rolled my eyes, pulling away from the huge and giving Dazai a look. "You're so dramatic, dude," I say with a laugh, shaking my head. "What are you doing here?"
"Hmm, well I thought this would be a great place to think about how to commit suicide," Dazai began and I gave him another look. "But, I saw my bella looking so sad and lonely! I just had to rush to comfort her!"
Dazai hugged me again, squeezing me tight. I let out a struggling breath, writhing a bit in his hold. "You're killing me!"
"Oh! Let's commit do-"
"No, oh my God!"
I turned and stormed away from the suicidal man, shaking my head when I heard him call out for me. "Bella, wait!" He latched onto my arm, pressing his cheek against mine. "Tell me what's wrong. I am your trusted friend and coworker~"
"More like trusted pain in my ass," I mumbled before sighing, walking over to the boardwalk railing and staring out into the ocean. "It's Keiko. She was supposed to be with me today, but she just called and canceled..." I frowned deeply, eyebrows pinched in worry.
"What else did she say?" Dazai asked quietly, having gone serious once he saw the look in my face. "How did she seem?"
"Off..." I answered immediately before I looked over at my companion. "Or am I just imagining things? Yeah, I'm disappointed she flaked out but...." I hung my head. "I don't know..."
"Well, it could be nothing," Dazai suggested. "Or it could be something. There's no way for you to know."
I made a face at his vague ass answer before sighing again. "I can only trust her. She was the first friend I made when I moved to Japan, and I was excited to see her today. I've been having a rough time lately."
"Is something bothering you?" Dazai asked, and I shivered feeling his gaze on me.
"Eh... just depressed," I answered offhandedly. "Lonely. Normal sad girl shit, ya know."
That made Dazai snicker under his breath. "Yeah, I know. But luckily for you," Dazai started, arm draping around my shoulders and pulling me to him. "I'm here to save the day!"
I couldn't help it, I laughed before I wrapped my arm around his middle, letting him hold me against him. "You'll hang out with me today?"
Dazai grinned. "It would be my pleasure."
Tumblr media
Time flew by so quickly, that I was surprised to look at my phone and see that it was damn near seven in the evening. Gaping, I looked up, seeing that the sky was slowly turning dark. "Holy crap, Dazai. Did we really spend the whole day out here?" I asked in shock, looking over at him. "What the hell did we do?!"
"What didn't we do," Dazai whined, slumping against me. "I'm tired... and you still wanna ride the stupid ferris wheel!"
"It's not stupid," I said with a pout. "Besides... we're already in line."
"Meh," Dazai grumbled, still keeping his body pressed against me as we waited in line. He was behind me, his chin pressed on my shoulder. I tried not to shiver as I felt his breath along my neck.
Soon enough, we were in our carriage and slowly riding up to the top. I took a few pictures as we did so, Dazai looking over in amazement.
"You think the drop from up here would kill me?"
"Yeah, and would scar everyone here."
"Oh yeah... can't have that."
I rolled my eyes, glancing over at him and pausing for a bit. Dazai was still looking out over Yokohama, an expression I've never seen before on his face. He almost looked... sad. Very handsome, his side profile absolutely perfect. But he still looked sad. I took a quick picture, smiling as I looked over it on my phone.
The carriage stopped and I couldn't help but grin as we just swayed softly up in the air. "Thanks for spending the day with me, Dazai. It would have sucked if I had spent it alone."
"Ahh, don't sweat it, bella. I couldn't possibly leave you out here alone," Dazai answered dramatically and I laughed and rolled my eyes.
I felt a vibration in my pocket and I grabbed my phone, smiling at the cute selfie that Keiko sent to me.
'I'm so sorry for bailing! I'll make it up to you, I promise! ❤ mwuah'
"Is that Keiko?" Dazai asked and I nodded, sending her a quick reply.
"Yeah. She seems to be doing okay," I said, feeling a bit relieved.
"That's great!" Dazai exclaimed, getting up from his spot and carefully making his way to sit beside me, much to my horror.
"Dazai! We're not supposed to move around!"
"We're fine!" he waved me off dismissively. "Now you can stop worrying about Keiko and focus on what's important. Me."
I raised my eyebrows at him. "You?"
Dazai hummed. "Yes, me. And how I'm taking you home tonight."
My jaw drops, face heating up at his words. "Wh-what are you talking about?"
"You know exactly what I'm talking about," Dazai answered, his voice dropping a bit as his gaze and entire mood changed. His gaze was darker now, his lips curled up in an almost dangerous smirk. "I think it's time we stop tiptoeing around each other and just take what we really want."
My mouth went dry and I quickly became flustered, turning my head away. Immediately, a hand is grabbing my face, Dazai digging his fingers into my cheeks as he forces me to look back at him.
"Nuh uh, you look at me when I'm speaking."
His authoritative tone makes me freeze, heart pounding in my chest as I stared at Dazai, completely bewildered. I knew there was something more about him than he had let on, and whatever it was, had me in fight or flight mode.
"Now, when we're done here, we're gonna leave and head back to my place, okay?" he asked me, but his tone made it seem like it wasn't a request, and it sure as hell didn't match the seemingly innocent smile on his face; not when it didn't reach his eyes.
I nodded, Dazai removing his hand from my face. His smile sent shivers down my spine.
"Good."
Tumblr media
"Mmn... fuck, Dazai..." I moaned and gasped softly, the man on top of me littering my neck with angry red and purple marks, two of his fingers working inside my pussy. I was completely naked on his bed, Dazai only in his underwear-- and his bandages still wrapped around his arms and chest.
"Hey, what did I tell you?" Dazai whispered against my neck, curling his fingers and smirking when I cried out. "Call me Osamu. Don't make me tell you again."
I frantically nodded my head, crying out again as he sped up the pace of his fingers, his mouth moving down to my chest. "F-fuck, Osamu!"
"That's it," he whispered, taking one of my hardened nipples into his mouth. My fingers curled into his soft brown hair, head tilting back and eyes screwing shut as Dazai continued to pleasure my body.
It wasn't long until he pushed his hard cock into my wet pussy, the both of us groaning at the feeling of us finally connecting. I was on my knees and elbows, pillow placed under my hips. Dazai started out slowly, biting his lip as he watched his dick disappear inside of me.
"Fuck... I'm gonna burn this sight into my memory," Dazai groaned, making me whine as I shook my head.
"D-don't stare like that..."
Dazai chuckled softly, his hands grabbing my hips as he started to move faster, thrusting harder. I moaned and whined, it seemed to be the only thing I could do while Dazai fucked the shit outta me. "Osamu... please..."
My whining made the man above me grin widely, his thrusts becoming rougher, almost wild as he suddenly reached out and grabbed a handful off my hair. I yelped when he yanked me up, my back now pressed against his chest and his other hand wrapped around my throat.
"What is it, bella?" he hissed into my ear, pounding away at my pussy and making me cry out again. God, it was too much all at once. "What does my pretty little subordinate want?"
I whined. "I want to cum... please Osamu..."
He cackled, pushing me back on the bed, grabbing my hips so hard, I knew I was gonna bruise. "Cum then," he hissed down at me, pushing my face into the mattress. He fucked me relentlessly, fingers finding my clit and rubbing harsh circles. That made my vision go white, my scream muffled as I came hard, body going rigid as pleasure overtook my body.
"Shit, you're squeezing me so tight," Dazai grunted. He pulled out, ignoring my whines as he stepped off the bed. "Get on your back."
I barely rolled over halfway until there was a strong grip on my ankle, my body being pulled down the length of the bed. Dazai stood at the end, wasting no time in pushing my legs back by the back of my knees, and plunging his cock back into me.
I looked up at him through teary eyes, and I knew I should have been afraid of the mad look that was in his eyes, the way his lips were curled up in a snarl. But it just made my pussy clench around him in arousal, eyes rolling to the back of my head.
I came a second time as he did his first, and much to my ultimate pleasure, we weren't finished there. We pleasured each other through the night, until we wore each other out and fell asleep entangled in the sheets.
Tumblr media
I woke up the next morning, groaning in pain as I felt my body ache. I forced myself to sit up, looking around blearily and humming softly when I found Dazai sitting on the edge of the bed, his bare back to me.
"Good morning," he sang to me and I giggled softly, carefully moving to kneel behind him. The blankets fell from around me and I pressed my bare chest against his back. "Hm, that's nice."
"Morning," I said softly, peeking over his shoulder. "What are you do-"
I stop, staring as Dazai wrapped seemingly clean bandages on his heavily scarred left arm. I swallowed thickly, my mind running at what could have possibly been the cause of those scars.
But deep down, I knew that the cause was Dazai himself.
"Do... Do you have enough?" I asked softly, not knowing what else to even say. I didn't want to pry or seem insensitive, just having to get over this metaphorical punch in the gut myself.
"Yeah, I'm fine!" Dazai answered, turning to face me with a cheery smile on his face. In a matter of seconds, I was flat on my back, Dazai on top of me with his lips pressed against mine. It was easy for him to make me forget about what I saw, his kisses stealing my breath away.
"I have to go," he said softly, pushing himself off me after a moment.
I nodded solemnly, watching him continue to get dressed. "Alright. See you at work tomorrow?"
He smirked at me. "You know the answer to that."
I rolled my eyes again, just as my phone started to ring. I grabbed it, sending Dazai a quick smile before answering the call.
"Hey Keiko, guess who got fucking laid." That made Dazai snort while I grinned, though my grin fell as I didn't hear Keiko go off like I thought she would. "Keiko?" I shared a look with Dazai.
"Hey... I need you. Can I come over?"

Shun and Aren's relationship is simultaneously so adorable and hilarious.
Like first you've got Aren, who when he was introduced had just transferred schools and dropped his usual (very physical) method of befriending others, but is now lonely and wants to make friends.
And then you have Shun, whose main goal in the series before he befriended Aren was to make friends! And he did... sort of... succeed in befriending Saiki and Nendou-- they hung out a lot and cared about Shun in their own way. But clearly Shun still wanted to have a really corny poster-child of best-friendship, showing frustration for Nendou's annoying tendencies and Saiki's resistance to being around Shun almost all the time. Like in one episode, when Shun is daydreaming about being a hero, he fantasizes about Saiki calling him by his given name (as opposed to his family name), so you can tell that increased closeness is something he still really wants. And what gets me about that in particular is that very same episode, Shun and Aren become friends, and from then on you only see them referring to each other by given name ^D^ By being friends with Aren, Shun gets some of that cheesy closeness he really wants, but that Saiki is too reserved to offer him.
But yes, when Shun and Aren first speak, Aren is already disheartened by all his friendship attempts up til then failing... and they do that amazing bit where Shun does his chuunibyou monologue and Aren mistakenly thinks this is how all normal people sound. And THEN, even better, some of Shun's chuunibyou terminology are actually things that Aren recognizes... from the world of delinquency. So they're able to have Aren's first satisfactory conversation at PK Academy, and it's completely incomprehensible to anyone else. Beautiful. Amazing. In the anime I don't think they ever do that again, so I thought it was a one-time joke and from then on Aren has become more aware of Shun's delusional qualities... but they actually do it again in the video game. Several times (you can check it for yourself on tumblr user silenthikari's blog). Shun makes some really weird dramatic statement, and Aren either translates it into something meaningful, or translates it into having some equally weird meaning in the delinquent world, and they are able to have a terrible and hilarious conversation this way. Overall their dynamic of Real-life Delinquent Who's Trying To Seem Nerdy and Real Nerd Who's Trying To Seem Tough And Cool is so funny when you think about it (and made more compatible with the fact that Shun is brave when it counts !!). I honestly don't know if I prefer the version of Aren who responds to Shun's chuunibyou monologues with delinquent monologues, or with passing over it while slightly confused... Maybe both. Both is good.
But yeah, Aren is super concerned about keeping his delinquent past hidden, but when Shun figures it out, he decides to judge him based on his current self and not his past, which Aren really appreciates, and it's sweet.
I also like how they spend so much time together and share their interests. In the manga Shun is really into the series Odd-Eye Persona Cerberus, but no one else he knows likes it or even really likes the magazine it runs in, but Aren shows up and HE LIKES THE SERIES... and he follows the other series in that magazine, and of course he and Shun immediately have a conversation about it that is unintelligible to everyone around them. ❤️ In other words, Shun finally gets to share his nerdy manga interests with someone else now that he's friends with Aren! And in turn, Aren is able to share his interests with Shun-- they of course get really into motorcycles together. Also they just hang out in general all the time; they're constantly sharing panels together and in the manga it's mentioned that they spent one summer break just hanging out all the time, to the point where Shun has been influenced by Aren to become foul-mouthed, which is very funny.
I also like that they're so supportive of each other. They compliment and hype each other up A LOT, on their actions, looks, accomplishments, whatever. That doesn't mean they're blind to each other's faults or unfailingly sweet to each other though, which I think is realistic and interesting. They have their casual petty arguments where they make fun of each other or call each other dumb. Also, Aren is aware that Shun is not the best at drawing and even avoids being paired up to do portraits of each other in art class. He's not a big fan of Shun's writing when he first sees it either, which (along with the disapproval of Nendou and Saiki) hurts Shun's feelings-- but in the manga he at least tries to compliment (pretty awkwardly; that's Aren for ya) Shun on something by saying he used a lot of complicated vocabulary. He also privately expects Shun to show up to the class play unprepared, thinking he can be unreliable. But when Shun shows up with an epic costume, Aren mentally takes it back and thinks he's amazing. And when everyone was stranded on an island, he doesn't put Shun on the raft group even though he wanted to go because he gets motion sickness, but Aren just states this straight-up and doesn't dwell on it. He is a person who's very geared towards showing his feelings and acting on them, so he doesn't spare Shun the harsh truth (except when he does), but to my knowledge he never goes out of his way to put Shun down, esp for things he's sensitive about.
And Shun also has moments of not supporting Aren's actions 100%. When Aren draws the protagonist of their manga with a ducktail, Shun tries to let him know that he finds it weird, and after going back and forth a little Aren's like "yeah sure I'll draw him with the hairstyle you want" and they immediately get over it. And in the video game Aren explains the instructions of something in a really vague way and Shun's like "that's so unclear man, here let me", and after he's finished Aren's just like "as expected from Shun! That was so detailed ^D^". And then there are several times in the series where Aren's about to get into a fight or do something aggressive and Shun holds him back, and honestly that's just a Good Friend thing to do. I think it's cool-- Aren looks out for Shun (ex. taking care of him when he gets motion sickness), and Shun looks out for him in turn. And this is kind of just my thinking but it seems like Aren gives Shun more... confidence by being his friend (and a really supportive one at that) and rubbing his delinquency off on him a little, and Shun helps Aren with his own goal of living a peaceful life by trying to keep him out of trouble and doing non-aggressive activities with him, like building forts, studying, playing video games, etc.!

How do you create your characters? Any tips or something?
Thank you for the ask!
Honestly, I wouldn't say that I'm a person you should ask for any tips ×) in this area, at least.
Anyway, I'll just tell you how I usually come up with any ideas, and you absolutely don't have to follow it, it's just the way that is the most comfortable specifically for me.
Generally, I usually need to base my ideas on something. When it comes to personality, I usually appeal to the MBTI or Zodiac Signs (I also tried to work with Enneagram, but it's difficult for me to get it yet ×)) as those are the personality topologies I'm familiar with the most. Of course, I don't write a personification of any of those existing types, so my characters do not 100% embody them. But it helps to choose some specific and unique traits and understand in what direction to develop and show character's behaviour.
Another important factor for character's personality is their past, specifically connected with the family atmosphere they had. It doesn't have to be excessively angsty and dramatic (really, please, don't create drama for drama, it feels super fake), but rather show how the family dynamics were affecting characters' life and points of view. I personally like psychology and try to make everything to have a reason, even though I may be bad at making it come true ×) Generally, family dynamics and dynamics with other people are really helpful to make your characters realistic and multi-layered, as they help to make your characters interact with different people differently.
At this point, Emilio is probably the best character of mine, because he acts like a total jerk only when he's around Valerio as he doesn't like him (for reason, anyways). I haven't told enough about him yet, but I can assure you that he's not completely obnoxious.
Anyway, what comes to my other characters, I didn't make Ángel's parents divorced jusy to show how positive and bright people can express deep emotions too or just because he's my personal favourite and make faves suffer is extra enjoyable. It had some influence on his personality and generally on how he perceives the world, and I'll really try to portray it properly.
The same for Frida. Her difficult relationship with her parents is one of the most (if not the most) important part of her character, and again, I'll try to give it justice.
I'm not sure what to say about characters' arcs and developments, as I haven't 100% figured it myself ×) but I think that the main thing about it is to understand your characters' main flaws and show how they work on it and try to improve themselves. It works in case of Ángel and Frida in my story, as Ángel is literally a ball of flaws and it will bother him at some point. Frida is too self-sacrificing and shy, so it will be important for her to learn how to speak up and generally show her strengths to others, specifically her parents.
Also, I think this is important to give your characters some hobbies. It makes them very much humans.
I can't say much about the appearances, because, honestly, I have a clear picture only of Fausto, Ángel, Frida, and maybe Valerio ×) Anyway, I think you just don't need to limit yourself. If you want your characters to have different body types or unique facial features, go for it. The only thing that keeps me in line is genetics and generally specific ethnic features. Literally all of my OCs are latinos, so I will never make them have light skin or blonde hair. Plus, I think it's also important to remember the time when they live. The fashion of our time and previous centuries are super different, so I wouldn't make any of my OCs follow the modern trends. But again, it's just me. As long as your concept fits your character and your story, you're good.
Anyway, despite the fact that I'm overall so thoughtful and such, most of the best ideas I came up with were spontaneous. I had a very vague concept of Valerio when I just got to writing, but now, he's literally the best written character of mine (I think so, at least ×)) He's got a backstory, a quite clear personality, hobbies, suspense around himself, and a more active character arc in the future. He was interesting, he is interesting, he will be interesting, and I really hope that I'll be able to make it properly.
But I didn't spend hours of figuring out how to build his concept. I've simply got a specific idea, and it kept developing in a natural direction. I can't give any examples yet, as Valerio is the main source of intrigue in my story now, but you'll definitely see it someday.
And I think that's it? Honestly, I don't have any more to say, but I hope it was helpful in any way!
