Also, some people may not even regard everything listed above as flaws.

Having negative traits allows incredible flexibility within your characters, what makes them intriguing, what makes them easy to relate to. If you want to write people, then write people. But they can’t be good and clean all the time.

I’m really liking Hazbin Hotel, but Jesus I am so sick of streaming shows having short seasons. It would’ve benefited so much even from just another 4 episodes to spread things out a bit.

It feels like the show was just getting started, and now we’re already at the conflict leading into the finale.

Okay but Charlotte was extremely generous to her children in regards to their marriages up until the line of succession was in question. She let all the boys secretly date whomever they chose and, most significantly, she didn’t sell off any of her daughters as alliance chattel (the way that she was). I love Raph and haven’t said that enough so to be more specific I love that Raph is a soft boy who loves bear plushies, a gross boy who eats an assortment of things that are definitely better left alone, a smart boy who is more than capable of taking down villains through planning and fortitude alike, a strong boy who is dedicated to training his muscles and fighting prowess, a teenage boy who loves his brothers but is more than happy to tease and roughhouse with them, an angry boy who sometimes lets his anger take a hold of him to cover the fear, a gentle boy who is generous with hugs and affirmations to those he loves, a capable boy who takes on more than should ever be expected of a teenager, a good boy who just wants to be a hero and slowly comes to realize the cost of that duty, a good boy who has no reservations about putting himself in the way of harm coming to his family, a good boy who’s a great brother and son and person and deserves only the best the world has to offer.

They get co-torture credits here. #Your favourite character is responsible for several horrible tortures and murders. #Was it justified? Honestly I don't think so. I think it very much needs to be over-the-top-violent to show how WWX has changed. #It was excessive force to satiate his need for revenge. WWX is consistently demonstrating how he feels justified in his actions #Up until now they have been for relatively noble causes. I'm glad nobody's questioned why Sunset's personality is so different in the AU, but I'll explained anyways. AU Sunset basically has Tempest Shadow's personality. I decided not to adapt Tempest because too many redeemed villains, she doesn't play an important role in the overall story, and her broken horn is so cool and unique to her as a unicorn that any adaptation wouldn't do it justice. So I fused the two together. Sunset's backstory and hotheadedness with Tempest's tired, jaded, anti-social disposition and fighting skills.

Anyways, I hope it's not too jarring of a change. The more I develop Sunset, the more you'll probably notice how OOC she seems. I'll probably end up adopting Sunset into an OC once I'm done with the AU, since she's basically a completely different character.

#i'm saying all this cuz i'm reading tempest's mini arc in the comics #and i'm thinking “wow. all of tempest's dialogue fits au sunset better than actual canon sunset” #just constantly silently stewing in her own head and suppressing eyerolls and avoiding hugs or long conversations with anyone #idk. i just find this sorta personality way more interesting and fun to work with than canon sunset #pre-redemption sunset's just a high school bully. post-redemption sunset's fun and complex but she's just a little too nice and apologetic #like. she kinda has protagonist syndrome where she's allowed to have flaws but not ones that make her disagreeable or hard to root for #so she just ends up a bit more boring than villain sunset. at least starlight got to keep her bitchiness and sass lol #gg20s sunset is an edgy badass loser who can reload a 6-shooter in a split second but also hasn't taken a bath or spoken to anyone in 5 day #wants to do her best in doing the right thing but doesn't know how #personal #delete later #tbh between redeemed villains i like tempest way more. but sunset's more popular so. majority rules
