Because I’m on my percy Jackson shit again, I’d love for the demigod’s mortal friends from school to be fully convinced the demigods parents are in, like, the mafia.

Think about it. Their parents are often in a war no one knows about, they have shit tons of trauma, all their parents are related except when you point out some of the demigods are dating they get all huffy and saying they aren’t “blood” related. They don’t share DNA. Their parents are just… uncles or something. But not literally.

Side note. I don't think this is ever talked about but we all know Tim maybe (def) killed some assassins when he blew up the league. But there is much potential in him first breaking that rule earlier.

In the first issue of RR Tim says he chose the RR costume because, and I quote, 'crossing lines -- so nothing would come back to Bruce or Dick. [He] chose this costume because it was already tarnished...'

And at the beginning of the issue he mentions no one died. But other than that I don't think he does. And there could be fights that took place off the page and junk.

when the ackermans were first created, marley prob genetically engineered the ackerbond to be activated from conception, since by nature the ackermans can’t be controlled, including by the founding titan. at their core they’re basically walking forces of nature. strong. don’t bow to anything or anyone.

but as such they have an unwavering sense of loyalty to who the ackerman chooses to be loyal to. the ackerbond happens organically by choice. every time.

so later down the family tree, marley learned too late the ackerbond isn’t genetic. if at least one parent is an ackerman, they will always produce an ackerman, but the bond doesn’t carry. it’s learned. marley tried to do population control and other atrocities but these later generations couldn’t be pinned down, of course. naturally i feel like they gravitated back to the king and eldia since… that is their blood, at the core. seeing how ackermans were created through “titan science” it had to be the case that the first trial cases were eldians.

how the ackerbond worked for the first generations goes like this: slavery like eren said (yes he was lying at the table scene etc but i like to believe he came up with the lie from this). one sided. any order their liege made, the ackerman had no bodily choice but to do it. (personal hc again) the liege and the ackerman don’t share bodily sensations or mutual emotions.

but then, for the later generations, the ackerbond is free to occur organically. it helps that it’s canon that every single ackerman retains the fighting experience from all previous ones, which makes the newer ones even stronger. this is different from the forced engineering. the ackerman is still more susceptible to orders and fierce loyalty, but the relationship w their liege is completely equal. neither of them would even be that conscious of it. and the more “intimate” the two become, cue the bodily sensations and almost… empathic shared emotions. they’re still their own person, they disagree just like normal people, but the bond is unmistakable and much stronger than if they were normal.

feeling either one of them die is the most agonizing pain. it’s like a tearing sensation, can barely be described but as being torn apart from the inside out. left feeling only like half of their former self. but they still retain their independence as their own person, so it’s not like one dies on the inside when the other dies for real.

and sex? this is gonna sound outlandish but my headcanon the ultimate act of bonding. when that sort of intimacy is even introduced to the relationship, both liege and ackerman experience a sort of (i am not saying heat i am not saying heat i am not) unique need. like they’ll crave each other so much until penetration happens (ik that’s an outdated idea but my hc). and after that point they’re Bonded bonded yk. i feel like they each retain each other’s past memories and experiences. like the bond could not be stronger.

but anyway they’re completely equal. it’s like the truest love. the purest love. they’d give their lives to protect each other, although the ackerman feels it the most. yes.

The local pride here was like the following week and I sat in the breakroom at work and talked with a queer coworker about our fears of going (it was the first yr I had ever considered going... I didn't go... and still have never been to a Pride event)

I remember texting my friend from school to see how he and his boyfriend were holding up (they lived in NY at the time but I still felt the need to reach out)
