Do you crave art?

Being in lock down makes me miss visiting museums, exploring art galleries and spotting street art anywhere I go. If you also feel inspired by art, browse through the links below and you won’t regret it. The plus side is you can do it from your couch - if you go to those places in person the chances of getting to see everything in detail are slim and your feet will get tired.

National History Museum, London: Zoom in to fully appreciate the detail of the museum’s canopy ceiling and learn about butterflies.

National Gallery, London: Ensure Flash is enabled so you can feel like you are actually inside the gallery’s expansive halls. You can also click on each individual painting to get more information.

British Museum, London: You can listen to podcasts or join virtual tours. There are millions of objects to look at!

The Metropolitan, New York: I went to this place such a long time ago and I do recall it wasn’t free. Online is a different story!

Musée d’Orsay, Paris: Super exciting to visit this place online as I chose to see The Louvre when was there in person with a limited amount of time.

V&A, London: Virginia & Albert is one of my favorite museums. You can even visit a fashion section!

Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam: I’m a fan of Vincent’s painting style and being able to skip that ever growing queue is a huge bonus!

Museo Frida Kahlo, Mexico City: You can visit La Casa Azul and understand more about Frida’s life through her paintings and personal pictures.

MoMA, New York: More than 100 modern art works available.

Tate Britain, London: I’ve been to Tate Modern several times but never visited TB - a good opportunity to see the Lady of Shallot.

Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam: Find Dutch Golden Age paintings. Personally, I really like the Japanese ‘Paper’ collection.

Uffizi Gallery, Firenze: I’m not into the Renaissance but if you are, this online tour is for you.

La Galleria Nazionale, Rome: I love that this museum has a full collection dedicated to Surrealism.

Sistine Chapel, Vatican: If you have ever been to Vatican City, you know that the option to see this mesmerizing painting in detail from your room is incredible and much more relaxing.
