A woman who has lived in the neighborhood since 1994 and who remembers how it went from being a quiet community to being labeled red, feels better, but her peace of mind is affected by her son, who is young. She is afraid that the police or soldiers can wrongly arrest him. "I tell my son to get a background check so they can see that he is an honest person," explained the woman.

The same situation is faced by a mother from the Las Margaritas neighborhood in Soyapango. She, like the rest of the population, agrees with the war against the gangs, but not with the blows that six soldiers inflicted on her son because he was wearing checkered boxers.

The 23-year-old, who works with his father, was on his way to do some errands when he was intercepted by soldiers. They questioned him and searched him without finding anything illegal, but his crime was a checkered boxer. “Sometimes it scares me because the authorities are not right, they are grabbing the first one that appears. My son was beaten for pure pleasure just because he was wearing checkered boxers", explained the woman.

I can’t believe I’m going to be homeless in less than 12 hours

Ive slept in a car before but now i dont even have that…

I have a tent I think is the size of my queen size mattress I might camp out at the closest church parking lot instead of the pier

A guy came to help but I felt weird and didn’t want to sleep with him…if I’m going to be a live in girlfriend or roommate I wanted someone that I’ve met before or known for a while

Like Cody or maybe hasan idk

I feel bad turning him away since he came out here but he was saying stuff about not being able to afford things and living with his parents I just idk if I can do that I’m sorry I was desperate and said sure but I guess you could say I have cold feet or something

I also feel like if they’re willing to let me end up homeless they obviously don’t like me that much, even I let an old friend sleep at my old home for a week or so when they got kicked out

I should’ve seen a different guy earlier that would’ve given me 300$ and maybe I can try for airbnb or hotel idk :(

I can’t bring everything with me since I don’t have a car or even good walking shoes

Fuck I need to narrow down the necessities and hope I don’t get anything stolen when I go back and forth to get anything like cat food etc

I worry about getting kicked out of parking lots since moving my stuff is hard
