1. When they were little, just starting to really talk, Jason couldn't say her name. He called her Chocolate until they were four years old; sometimes, he still does, when he's being silly to try and make her laugh.

2. Despite the fact that she sometimes has a hard time telling exactly what's real, Charlotte is often the best at pulling Jason out of his intrusive thoughts and OCD spirals when he gets stuck doing repetitive behaviors. She puts herself in his space and demands his attention, whether that's holding his face so he has to look at her, or taking his hands when he can't stop himself from doing something over and over again and just holding them tight.

3. Jason hates reading out loud; he's slow and always feels awkward. The one exception he'll make to this is when Charlotte's having a bad day. They'll cuddle up together in one of their beds and he'll read to her from whatever he grabs off the shelf.

☀️ : Gwen literally adores you. She loves playing pretend with you, and will drag miles into her shenanigans. If you like dress up, she'd usually play knights and dragons.

🎧 : if you're noise sensitive, he'd make sure to keep his music down or personally buy noise canceling headphones (he designed it himself)

☁️ : If you stim, he stims too. He has a swaying stim, a dancing stim and a leg tap stim. change my mind

💤 : not a super strict caregiver, but you have a bedtime. He can usually be convinced for a longer bedtime schedule for that night with some puppy eyes

💤 : he lives for physical affection. He loves to have you sit in his lap or keep his arm around your shoulder. He was awkward at first when it came to physical affection, but came around rather quickly

🖍️ : if you like to draw he'll let you draw in his notebooks. He'd always end up putting them up on his walls. Ganke thinks it's a nice change of colour

🖍️ : the only person he trusts to babysit you is Ganke. Ganke is one of the most chilled babysitters out there. Semi-verbal caregiver but usually gives you things you might need and letting you do your thing

🖍️ : if grown close overtime, Ganke would Share his comic books with you

Miles held your hand gently, with a hint of firmness and protection with it. You regressed during school about 2/3 through it and he found out about it. You felt embarrassed since this was the second time this week, but truthfully he didn't really mind. In fact it just made his 'big brother' side come out more. He smiled gently, nudging your shoulder slightly with his. trying to gain your attention as you spaced out. "You okay there, bubba? You seem to be more spaced out than usual.. are you okay?" He seemed to be concerned for you. But kept a gentle tone for you, so he wouldn't scare you accidentally. You shook your head, pouting your lip slightly. You raised your arms up, doing the small Grabby hands to catch his full attention. And unsurprisingly it worked pretty well. He stopped walking and turned to you. "Yeah? You want me to pick you up, little one?” he asked, tilting head slowly before his small neutral smile turned into a goofy grin. "Aw, well, alright then.. c'mon bud” he smiled, picking you up without a struggle. He rested you carefully on his shoulders before walking again.

in terms of weirdness, my specialty tends to be in macabre history, so I'll bring the stories about body snatching and that time I almost could have gotten Certified Vintage Victorian Smallpox™️ and you can tell me all about the Kennedy assassinations and true crime cases!! and we can bake treats while we do it!! ☺️☺️ honestly sounds like a dream 🥰

this is also a super random story but it's related to being The Weird Kid and really made me laugh: so at the end of the semester I asked my students what was one thing they learned from the class. it didn't have to be like a dry academic fact or anything, just something super cool or shocking or mind-blowing or whatever - something they would remember after the course ends. and in one of my sections I had one student say "I don't think I can ever forget how you told us that the Victorians ate mummies" and another one who said "pretty sure I'm always going to remember that time when you explained how they buried too many bodies in the cemeteries of Edinburgh and when it rained that one time all the decomposing corpses just floated out into the street." like, I am so incredibly proud that this is my legacy 😂😂

I owe you a massive apology, Charlotte, for taking so long to get to this!! I’ve been sick for the last week and this ask just got buried in my notifications and I didn’t see it until recently. So apologies for that and thanking you endlessly for the virtual cake!! I’m sure it was absolutely delicious!! 🥰

(Putting a read more cut because I ended up typing up a lot more than I thought I would lol)

That all being said, you talking about your Lego Titanic reminded me of a little memory I have. When I was thirteen and on a trip to Las Vegas, there was this Titanic exhibit at one of the hotels on the Vegas Strip. They had recreations of various rooms from the ship and even a little section of the ship itself?? I’ll include pictures because I swear, it was one of the coolest experiences ever. It was equal parts euphoric because it was a hyperfixation of mine at the time and I was going into such overload but also kind of haunting because of this one detail.

When you started the experience, they’d give you a ticket with the name and information of some random passenger. You’d get to see details of where on the ship they were staying, who they were traveling with, where they were going and everything. Then by the end of the whole experience, they had these massive walls that had the names of who died and who lived through the sinking. And I remember the card I got was for a woman who was traveling with her father and stayed in the servants quarters. And she didn’t make it.

So being like…thirteen years old. It was this haunting experience sitting there and realizing that I now knew the existence of this woman that may have otherwise been inconsequential if she hadn’t died the way she did.

I’ve had a few different little experiences like that with certain museums and they’re certainly very emotionally heavy, but they’re meaningful to me. They fuel this want in me to be more connected with humanity? Which sounds super alien to say lol. But I just…it blows my mind sometimes knowing that as vast as the human experience is, it’s also so unifying to see how people before us experienced it.

Anyhoo, long ramble aside, UGH, I LOVE THAT STORY ABOUT YOUR STUDENTS. Sometimes I think that’s one of the greatest things about being neurodivergent. Just having the largest mental catalogue of absolutely bonkers information like that that almost no one else knows?? Like that’s how you get people interested in learning lmao.

in terms of suggestions for grad cap decor, I think I would be remiss if I didn't recommend the wanderer above the sea of fog by caspar david friedrich. it's one of my favorite paintings, and I feel like it could be appropriate here since the figure is looking out across the vast landscape below, almost as though looking into the future and all that lays ahead ☺️ so that's an idea!

if I remember correctly, you're a fan of artemisia gentileschi? because if you want to feature a badass historical female painter in the very act of creation, you can't go wrong with self portrait as the allegory of painting

This one is from the wedding of Charloote and Yami,. You can see a bit of a shine in Charlotte's eyes that is clearly full of emotion. She is just beautiful. Next to her is clearly Yami, but also subtle. In traditional Hino clothes. I also think (just a head canon at the end anyway) that they have a missed party. Both traditions of Hino and Clover.
