I think I’d love Baldur’s Gate if it wasn’t straight high fantasy. I’ve been basically almost fully burnt out on classic and high fantasy as a genre personally and thus the entire world around it does not interest me at all but the gameplay would be my jam and none of the characters vibe with me personally from what I’ve seen.
Something like that in the Shadowrun universe would be my jam. I’ve only played the three games but man Magipunk or Elfpunk or whatever the genre is is my fav setting fusion.

there's this concept i've loved for aged that i've just found out has a name--Elfpunk--which is like taking fantasy stuff and putting it in modern stuff, the main example i can think of is the Disney movie Onward, where it's literally just like today mostly, but like with fantasy stuff.
google for a much better definition

"And into the forrest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul." ~ John Muir 🍃
❧Woodland Goth: is an aesthetic that combines dark, romantic elements of Goth culture with light subjects like flowers or woodland animals. It has been recently revitalized by Internet culture, but has actually existed as a facet of Goth music and fantasy literature/film since the 80s. (See Elfpunk on the Mythpunk page.)
It can be considered a lesser-known, typically nameless facet of Goth (most commonly found in ethereal wave) which was and is rife with the imagery of fairy tales, folklore, poetry, ballet, and mythology in contrast to the stereotype of vampires, zombies, and horror movies. In basic terms, it’s a hybrid of fey imagery, Glam Rock glitter, and the lighter side of 80s Goth.
Elements of Woodland Goth are similar to Goblincore, Fairycore, Cottagecore, Trad Goth, and Romantic Goth. It’s also important to note that unlike Fairy Goth (on GothTypes), it’s not a cosplay-centric style and actually features modernized clothing.❦

Season 14: The Archivist's Shadow - Echoes of Forbidden Knowledge (12 Episodes) Starring: Elf Flint (Jeanne Grousaud), the seasoned elfpunk detective grappling with the legacy of knowledge, and Chloe Lee (Jessica Parker Kennedy), the dutiful daughter of the Archives with a rebellious streak fueled by curiosity. Themes: Forbidden Knowledge, Power and Responsibility, Challenging Authority, Family Legacy Music: Orchestral with suspenseful and epic elements, incorporating electronic undertones to reflect the technological aspects of the Archives and the mysterious nature of forbidden knowledge. Episode Breakdown:
Whispers of Shadows: Strange occurrences plague the Archives: misplaced artifacts, cryptic messages, and unsettling whispers echoing through the ancient halls. Elf investigates, drawn into a mystery that seems intertwined with forgotten lore. She encounters Chloe Lee, the brilliant but rebellious daughter of the Archivist, ostracized for her unorthodox approaches and thirst for forbidden knowledge.
Echoes of Time: Flashbacks showcase Elf's own experiences with forbidden knowledge, highlighting the allure of its potential and the dangers of its misuse. Marionette, delving into dusty grimoires, uncovers references to a hidden faction within the Archives, obsessed with acquiring and wielding forbidden knowledge.
Labyrinth of Secrets: Elf and Chloe, despite their initial distrust, form an uneasy alliance to navigate the hidden passages and secret chambers of the Archives. They encounter traps, guardians, and cryptic puzzles, each unveiling a piece of the hidden faction's plot.
Masks of Knowledge: The hidden faction emerges from the shadows, led by a charismatic individual claiming to possess knowledge capable of shaping the future. Their motives are shrouded in secrecy, leaving Elf and Chloe torn between suspicion and intrigue.

Fractured Loyalties: The faction offers Chloe access to forbidden knowledge, tempting her with answers she craves but raising concerns about her allegiance. Elf grapples with the possibility of Chloe betraying her, adding another layer of complexity to the mystery.
Divided Archives: The faction infiltrates the upper echelons of the Archives, sowing discord and manipulating leadership. Marionette becomes a target, their loyalty questioned due to their connection to Elf.
Facing the Truth: Chloe, disillusioned by the faction's true intentions and realizing the danger of wielding forbidden knowledge, rejoins Elf. Together, they expose the faction's leader, revealing their twisted desire for power and control.
Echoes of Choice: A climactic confrontation ensues within the Archives, pushing Elf and Chloe to their limits. The leader unleashes a powerful artifact, threatening to rewrite history and unleash chaos.
Breaking the Chains: Elf and Chloe, drawing upon their combined knowledge and skills, utilize the forbidden artifact against the leader, reversing its destructive potential. The faction crumbles, leaving the true purpose of the knowledge shrouded in mystery.
Legacy Redefined: The Archives undergoes a period of introspection, reevaluating their approach to knowledge and access. Chloe earns a respected position, bridging the gap between tradition and innovation. Elf grapples with her own legacy, embracing the weight of knowledge while advocating for responsible use.
Echoes of the Unknown: A seemingly unremarkable individual, touched by the artifact's energy, exhibits the ability to access and manipulate information in unimaginable ways. A cryptic message hints at a future threat emerging from the depths of the collective unconscious, fueled by the echoes of forbidden knowledge.

This is Hotspur, the main character of a comic my dad’s been working on for a while now. In recent years, I’ve become a part of the project as well.
It’s been some time since we last sat down and worked on it or even brainstormed, but life is starting to slow down to where we may be able to get back on track soon.

For the past few months, I've been lowkey obsessed with Rachel Maksy's trying out made up aesthetics video on youtube. I decided I would finally put together some outfits of my own based on the aesthetics in her video.
Here is the first one I did. Elfpunk

Cranky Kong's DND Planning 15
Hello! I haven't done too much, but i have done a few things.
First, I have been practically forced (idk what the tone indicator for exaggeration is [if there even is one {there probably isn't}] and i don't wanna google it, lest i get distracted, so i'm gonna say /exg for now) to dm a campaign (i didn't go with this one cause i wasn't ready) I am busy (or rather procrastinate a lot and count hobbies as high density fun and don't get around to them) so I didn't have time to completely make a new campaign, but i got a map done. I think I discovered more about how I dm in the first session, and that is that I do a bunch of lore dumping and details for no reason (literally no one cares about the intricacies of fucking mouse jousting [except me of course <3]) and that i do quite a fair bit of improv (though both of these qualities can be linked to both the players, the lack of campaign having been planned, and how i view myself [like these players are fairly inquisitive so i had to keep coming up with details about mouse jousting, i didn't have anything planned so i had to come up with stuff, and i like to think of myself as detail oriented, so i could be thinking like that's how i dm but it's not {not saying it's not just saying it's a possibility}] Also for this campaign the asetchci (i never know how to spell this, you know what i mean [in case you don't, i think asthetic is closer spelling but still apparently not right]) is called Elfpunk, and I just learned that word earlier today so i'm pretty excited i have a name for it. It's basically like you take all fantasy stuff (the elves, the dragons, the dwarves and the orcs and the golbins and the magic and the andthandtheandhtatnahfhdsjkghjdsfhj) and you put it in the modern day setting (the movie Onward is a great example of this) (also in a DND context Dimension 20: Fantasy High is a good example).
ALSO I CHANGED A SENTENCE IN MY OUTLINE THAT I HAVEN"T DONE ANYTHING ON SINCE I LAST POSTED I AM MASTER OF PRODUCTIVITY

If there is one thing she knows about these ruins, it is that they are portals to the distant past. She moves closer to the window to read the old, ratty journal of a life long deceased. Despite their age, the isil-wafer pages still seem to glow in the soft moonlight. Perhaps tonight she will learn second-hand whether the stories of the Elders are true.
