A Meet the Robinsons fanfiction by CreativeSoul27 (my FF.net and Ao3 username 😊)

{Summary: Franny's stressed the night before the most important concert of her music career, so Neil devises a plan to cheer his wife up (with Wilbur's help, of course).}

Some concepts for my comic Los Brujos. I did this mostly for fun and as practice, and it kinda helped me understand my ideas for their world a little better. If you’ve followed me for a long time, you’ll know I’ve been developing this story for some time now. I even had a webcomic that had to go into hiatus (due to personal life events, but also I was unhappy with some story choices.) Their story has always stuck with me and it’s a big life goal to finish a book about them. nowadays I’m much happier with the story…really simplified a lot of convoluted stuff haha The goal seems a lot more likely now!!

Currently Los Brujos is the story of three Puerto Rican brothers aspiring to be exorcists — specifically ones that focus on helping disturbed spirits heal and pass on.

5, 6, 12, and 25 (the last one lol) for the artists asks! Don't mean to go HAM in the inbox here but then I was like wait a gosh darn second. It's SATURDAY. I WILL go ham in the inbox!!!

5. Anything you haven’t drawn yet but want to?

I STILL only have the desire to draw TSC related stuff, so I wanna plan out more environments and spaces. I REALLY wanna tackle the Bypass at some point but that shit is HUGE and works with a lot of perspective so it will remain on the back burner for now lol.

6. Which artists inspire you right now?

You KNOW I gotta plug the amazing @kscribbs. The shape language, the movement, the faces and expressions. It's all just so good! I strive to be as established and cohesive as K's art fr. Her use of texture also is so illustrative and I love it to bits!

Another artist that I'd like to learn more from in terms of special effects is @elioli-art. They're behind one of my favorite webcomics The Moon and Me and their handling on special effects and light and shadow is masterful. Also serves as a huge inspiration for the moon motifs in CC.

Besides that though, I don't really have specific artists that I turn to. I take inspo from literally any piece of art that I like the style of. It has a RANGE and I take mental notes from each one of them and just stitch them into my own style. Literally anything that looks cool is subject to be put into the inspo pile.

12. Show your favorite drawing from this year

Oh boy, there's actually a lot of good contenders for this one! Getting REALLY into TSC has forced my art to change/improve immensely so there's actually a lot of ones from 2023 so far that I really like.

I like the one with Lucy at the ready with the staff. I like the Mother Nature pinup with her legs in the air. The doodles of Dite have a found place in my heart. POP CAT JACQUELINE is also up there. But I think my favorite favorite of the year so far has to be the fist fight in the alleyway.

I really popped off with the lighting and effects in a way that I can't seem to recreate 🥲

25. Based on your recent reference searches, what would the FBI assume about you?

Safe to say that they think I've either severely burnt my hands, or I've been in the ice for too long. Wonder how those searches would've gotten there 👀👀👀
