(Part 1)

Description: You seem to always have some suspicious bruises, Malcolm get worried.

It started when your shirt slipped up one day, and Malcolm saw a large purple bruise creeping up your side. He'd asked you about it and you brushed him off, telling him you'd simply fallen down the stairs.

Again at home one day, you'd come over to visit and on your inner thigh lived a dark fresh looking bruise, just barely covered by your dress. Just as last time, you'd brushed him off, he stopped asking after that.

He knew something was wrong, no one just accidentally got a fist shaped bruise on their stomach. Malcolm wanted to ask but didn't, he knew you would only lie. But he started taking note, never forgetting about the suspicious bruises.

It had been months now and he was getting really worried. If someone was hurting you he had to stop it. He couldn't let you get hurt. That's why he's here, in Gil's office, trying to figure out a way to help you.

"If it is what you think it is Bright, it's good that you came to me. We can talk to her tonight, you and I. Try and figure out the best way to help her, but for right now we have a case." He held Malcolm's shoulder softly and led him to the interrogation room. Dani greeted them with a sharp nod.

"I traced the payments to an owner of an empty warehouse, he used an alias for both. Me and JT are gonna head out. Bright, you in?" He nodded and followed her out.

The warehouse was a dusty blue and the sky was dark. The group approached the building cautiously, Malcolm watched as they cocked their guns.

Walking towards the side of the building they could hear yelling and jeering coming from inside. Dani leaned against the wall and motioned for the group to go in.

They pushed down the door roughly, guns blazing as they stormed in. Their yelling couldn't be heard over the large crowd. Gill tried to yell over the noise.

"Go to the centre of the crowd!" He whipped his hand around.

Bodies crashed into Malcolm's, trashing him wildly. He pushed through the crowd, suffocating in piles of bodies. When he finally made it to the center he could finally see what all the fuss was about.

Two people stood in a make shift fighting ring, a woman and a man. The woman seemed to be winning, she landed a strong punch to the man's jaw and he jerked back, falling to the ground with a loud thump.

Another man walked to the center of the ring, grabbed the woman's hand and yanked it into the air.

"Winner! Collect your bets over there!" The woman's face came into view, a face he recognized well.
