The reason for this poll is because I know some people don't have all of these setup, myself included, and in case of emergencies I would like to know which one people are more receptive to, just in case the only reason some folks don't donate is because their preferred medium isn't listed.
Please reblog to break containment. This could help lots of folks out.

Hey guys. I’m sorry to ask but I’m struggling financially atm. I’m unemployed and looking for a job but so far I haven’t been lucky enough to get an interview anywhere and I’ve got a few bills adding up. If anyone can spare anything I would deeply appreciate it. Ways to donate are under my description. Please reblog this as I am desperate for any help I can get. And I’m sorry again for asking for help but I don’t have any other options at the moment.

Remember, you are providing the foundation for my work, so please include what you want to see in the story.
Specify your preferred point of view and tense (first/second/third person, past/present). If not specified, I will default to third person and choose the tense that best suits the story.
If applicable, indicate the specific version of the character you would like me to write (e.g., Bogus Journey era Bill and Ted, Batman Beyond era superbat, comics Moon Knight).
Specify the desired word count range for the story. Ensure that your story idea can feasibly fit within the word count you are paying for. If unsure, feel free to ask for guidance.
If you don't have a detailed idea for a fanfic, that's alright! We can discuss general concepts, and with characters I'm familiar with, I can work off more general information. The above information is for when you have a specific story in mind, allowing me to create the content you desire.
For characters from fandoms I'm not sufficiently knowledgeable about, you can follow the guidelines outlined in the section for original characters. Additionally, you can provide informational videos, articles, or other resources

How do Apple Pay and Google Pay handle sensitive card info?
The diagram shows the differences. Both approaches are very secure, but the implementations are different. To understand the difference, we break down the process into two flows.
1. Registering your credit card flow
2. Basic payment flow
☝️ The registration flow is represented by steps 1~3 for both cases. The difference is:
Apple Pay: Apple doesn't store any card info. It passes the card info to the bank. Bank returns a token called DAN (device account number) to the iPhone. iPhone then stores DAN into a special hardware chip.
Google Pay: When you register the credit card with Google Pay, the card info
is stored in the Google server. Google returns a payment token to the phone.
✌️ When you click the "Pay" button on your phone, the basic payment flow starts. Here are the differences:
Apple Pay: For iPhone, the e-commerce server passes the DAN to the bank.
Google Pay: In the Google Pay case, the e-commerce server passes the
payment token to the Google server. Google server looks up the credit card
info and passes it to the bank.
In the diagram, the red arrow means the credit card info is available on the public network, although it is encrypted.
-Over to you: Apple needs to discuss the DAN details with banks. It takes time and effort, but the benefit is that the credit card info is on the public network only once. If you are an architect and have to choose between security and cost, which solution do you prefer?

BARCELONA–Hola desde MWC! I’m here for my 10th time to cover the giant tech event formerly known as Mobile World Congress. I’m here through Thursday morning, which the past nine years of covering MWC have taught me will be barely enough time to take in the show and probably not enough time for Barcelona tourism. Before I left, I wrote an extra post for Patreon readers sharing my notes on two…

Google's Payday Loan Algorithm: Targeting Spammy Queries
Tumblr media
In 2013, Google launched the Payday Loan Algorithm, aiming to effectively combat spammy queries associated with payday loans, high-interest loans, and aggressive marketing tactics. As an expansion of Google's ongoing effort to improve search quality, the Payday Loan Algorithm targeted industries and queries notorious for spammy content and abusive practices. In this article, we'll explore how the algorithm was designed to work, its impact on various industries, and offer some insights on how to stay compliant with Google's guidelines.
Understanding the Google's Payday Loan Algorithm
The Payday Loan Algorithm was released in June 2013, specifically targeting spammy queries, which commonly include loan-related searches, as well as queries related to adult content, pharmaceuticals, and gambling. The purpose behind the algorithm release was to filter out low-quality websites that attempted to manipulate search engine rankings through black hat SEO practices, such as content spamming, keyword stuffing, and other manipulative tactics. The algorithm has since gone through several updates, with the most notable being Payday Loan 2.0 and Payday Loan 3.0. These updates were designed to enhance the algorithm's spam-fighting capabilities, expanding its scope to detect both spammy websites and spammy backlink profiles.
Impact of the Payday Loan Algorithm on Affected Industries
The introduction of the Payday Loan Algorithm had a significant and immediate effect on industries known for using aggressive marketing tactics and spammy content. Many websites operating in the payday loan, adult, pharmaceutical, and gambling niches experienced considerable drops in their search engine ranking, giving them little choice but to adapt their practices or face irrelevancy. The algorithm leveled the playing field, penalizing websites that relied on spammy tactics, thus rewarding compliant websites in the process. The overall impact resulted in improved search results in the targeted industries, discouraging black hat SEO practices and promoting legitimate businesses.
Staying Compliant with the Payday Loan Algorithm
To maintain or improve search rankings in the era of the Payday Loan Algorithm, consider the following suggestions:
1. Focus on High-Quality Content
As with any other Google ranking-related algorithm, high-quality and relevant content is paramount. Ensure that all of your content, including articles, product descriptions, and web pages, is accurate, engaging, unique, and adds value to the user's experience.
2. Avoid Black Hat SEO Tactics
Refrain from using black hat SEO techniques, such as keyword stuffing, cloaking, and content spinning. Instead, focus on ethical and sustainable SEO practices, such as keyword optimization, useful internal linking, and a clear site structure.
3. Build a Clean Backlink Profile
Avoid using spammy or manipulative link-building tactics, such as buying links, partaking in link schemes, or engaging in excessive reciprocal linking. Instead, work on generating organic backlinks from reputable sources by creating valuable, shareable content and collaborating with related businesses and reputable websites.
4. Implement a Clear User Interface
Ensure that your website has a clean design and user-friendly interface to provide an enjoyable user experience. Abide by guidelines related to ads and pop-ups by avoiding intrusive ads or misleading ad placements that impede user experience.
In Conclusion
Although the Payday Loan Algorithm specifically targeted spammy industries, the key takeaways apply to any website: focus on high-quality content, adhere to ethical SEO practices, and place user experience at the forefront. By doing so, you can safeguard your website against future Google penalties and maintain a strong online presence.
