Genuine question - is what George did really that bad? People generally don't ask for verbal consent to cuddle, especially not when the other person has positive body language that shows they're into it... I mean fuck, I guess that would mean I've assaulted my boyfriend hundreds of times at this point because I just go up to him and hug him or cuddle him
// tw sa
You know your boyfriend. You know what his level of comfort is and your relationship. I'm assuming the first time you met your boyfriend in person you did not immediately start touching him without asking him.
I'm assuming your boyfriend was not also incredibly intoxicated and in a hotel room at a convention. It doesn't matter if they have "positive body language" when they're drunk.
I'm assuming you also didn't put your hand up his shirt and rub and tickle on his bare skin that first time you met him.
It was not just a cuddle. It was groping and tickling. It was the fact that she was young person who had never been around these people, in the hotel room of the two most famous people at the convention, and drunk. Any one of those things should have been enough for him to realize he should keep his hands to himself.

It really is evident to me that cis people, on average, view trans identity as this idea that we transition for social benefit.
I was listening to my manager talk about how she "understands how chicks would want to be guys" because the only thing a guy has to deal with is "awkward boners." She then said she can't "understand how a guy would turn into a chick" because it isn't like "being a chick is all that good."
I had to stop myself from being offended because it's really incorrect what she said. Being cis would be easier. I had to closet myself to make sure I could get this job, so how is my manhood easier than being cis?
This plays into the idea that not only do trans people only identify as their gender for social/financial/political gain, but that being trans even earns you that in the first place. I'm sorry to say, but being trans is not easier than being cis. We don't have anything to gain, politically/socially/financially, by being trans.
I need cis people to understand that this mindset is part of the reason why it's so fucking scary and exhausting to be trans around cis people.

Okay this is a genuine question; please do read and abide by what I'm asking:
I've seen people say that the Tumblr alt text feature is limited in its use, and I get people writing descriptions on image posts I have either made or reblogged that already have full alt text descriptions with some frequency. However, I've never seen any explanation why, and I do not know if this is true but the reasoning got lost in the game of Tumblr telephone, or if it's a misunderstanding/a highly individualized situation that got inappropriately extrapolated.
If you rely on image descriptions, are there issues with the built in alt text feature that make written descriptions below the image better for you? If so, could you please explain (briefly) what those issues are?
Follow-up question: does it help you when people tag images as "undescribed?"
Note: unless you are writing both on behalf and at the direct request of someone you know who uses Tumblr and relies on image descriptions, if you do not rely on image descriptions, DO NOT ANSWER.

hey there! ive finally made an art blog! im going to try post more just… stuff, as usually i reserve my art posts for either special occaisions or specifically public-oriented works, and it kinda bums me out to not just have a place to dump my art anymore, so here you go!
(more details and helpful info below!)
who are you?
in hopes of providing some relevant lenses to view my work through, ill give some personal details here. if these lenses dont suit your interpretation of the work, thats alright! view as you please, though i do still think these will always be important context in said viewings.
my name is zelda (she/her) and im a queer jewish 20something who struggles quite a bit with illness both physical and mental.
ive always been kind of enthralled by impressionism and what it really means to use suggestion and spirit as a stronger tool than portrayal and form.
i have a particular draw to fantasy and magical aesthetics, especially the world-building within.
i am a serial overthinker, and tend to see alot of meaning and symbolism in things that plainly do not have them.
while yes i am jewish, my relation to faith is complicated. if you see me type “god” im using it in a turn of phrase with no meaning. if you see me type out “g-d” i am being religious. yes i know thats not how its supposed to work. its meaningful to me.
what will you post?
as previously mentioned, here im trying to make a concerted effort to post a broader variety of things with a wide selection in quality and topic, so unfortunately here the only real uniting theme is going to have to be that i made it. still! to help navigate the space, listed below will be a list of tags i will try to keep to, all of which this post will also be tagged as, since i know tumblr search can be finicky.
#the self and the other
these will be about me, my friends and loved ones, or possibly both
#differing mediums
these pertain to other works or universes, as well as fan content
#harsh tones
this is gonna be the rough stuff. topics will be tagged as needed.
#jaunty doodles
funny business. shenanigans, even.
#lesssfw
listen this blog is for a wide breadth of content, so please if you do not want to, or otherwise should not be seeing mild to moderate nsfw content (i dont rlly plan on posting straight up porn here) block this tag.
wait— is there anywhere you do post more direct nsfw?
maybe, yeah. but before any of that i would like to set some ground rules. these are my spaces for me to share my work for others to see. if you arent a fan of what i post, ill make no attempts to dissuade you from that. your discomfort is your right. I would however request that you dont make your discomfort an issue i am epxected to remedy. ill have no harsh feelings if you arent a fan of my less safe for work content, or even anything it may tangentially relate to, and need to take the necessary steps to curate your experience in those regards. i will be far less than happy if people cant behave because i post content that is not to their personal tastes, within reason.
all of that being said, yes, if you are an adult fan of my other work, feel free to check out @shinyspadetiptail
do you take commissions?
yeah, usually. im not really at the point where i have to close and open them for availability reasons, so shoot me a dm and ill usually be able to give you a response pretty quick on.
price tends to vary by project, and i always set $20 per hour of canvas time as my baseline, but generally simpler stuff like limited detail icons and emojis run in the $20-$30 range, while fully detailed halfbodies tend to run in the $40-$50 range, and fully done fullbodies range more $70-$80. aside from that, backgrounds are a little too context dependent to put a full price estimate on and extra characters can and will cost extra.
usually whatll happen is after laying out the basic price range we’ll talk, and ill thumbnail until we have smth we can agree on, and once weve got an idea of what were going for ill give an estimate that ill try to stick close to, barring any major changes or complications. from then on ill try to send updates whenever i work, and then when im relatively close to finished ill ask for the payment either through paypal or cashapp, after which ill send on the finished piece and any expected variations. in some cases, this may be changed, and payment may be done half at the start, and half when relatively close to completion.

People in the saltburn tag deifying Felix like the movie didn't demonstrate that he does the exact same thing as Elsbeth - takes people in when they're interesting and he can feel good about "helping" them until he gets bored (multiple people say multiple times that he's does this charity-case thing before). He pretends not to care about his Status, he's flippant about it, but when Farleigh asks for money he goes completely Lord of the Manor with very little provocation. Oliver's bike plan wouldn't have worked so well if Felix hadn't been so entitled as to manipulate him into walking his bike back to the dorms. His ability (and willingness) to be the one to shine a light on someone and then turn it away at his leisure is a big part of his character and the class commentary of the piece.
He does do and say nice things. But a handful of people SHOULDN'T hold the power to become gods of their own little worlds due to money and fear of loss of opportunity, no matter how nice and personable they initially presnt themselves (of believe themselves) to be. Does he "deserve" his wealth any more than Oliver does by the fact of being born into it? I certainly don't think so.

in regards to the Roundsey situation, the multiaccounting wasn't exclusively in the past it was because of comparatively recent activity. it was actually slightly unrelated to the mentioned funneling it seems like
the active winning account was made in 2022. here is the part of the user's tumblr post that explains everything, I have underlined the relevant parts
1) there was funneling between the user's old accounts in 2017
2) the user made a new account (the winning account) in 2022 after losing access to the old ones— but, about a month later, the user regained access and sent a dragon to the new account from an old one, in 2022
3) this cr linked the new account to the old ones (and regardless of old funneling or not, this user still would have had the accounts locked because there were multiple accounts and a dragon was sent from the old ones to the new one)
this isn't meant to be accusatory (because this is all explained in that post), I think it just. gives a more complete image of the situation that I think some people have missed despite all the information being available. the user's accounts weren't closed over old funneling (maybe partially), but because of multiaccounting in general— with activity linking the accounts as recently as 2022. I believe regardless of whether funneling occurred, if the user was still caught the accounts would have been closed regardless
