THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER SENTENCE STARTERS (part two / ep5-8)
❛ Your life will take a complete change of course. Tonight. ❜
❛ Women are the natural leaders of the species. Ancient Egypt had it right. ❜
❛ I know we haven't always seen eye-to-eye, but we have to pull together now, don't we? ❜
❛ Okay, just because the door's open doesn't necessarily guarantee you a seat at the table. ❜
❛ You're not who I thought you were. ❜
❛ I really didn't want to think it, but...you're all fucking monsters. ❜
❛ Watching you shit on your principles would have been worth every fucking penny. ❜
❛ Why, if it weren't for you, they would all still be alive today. ❜
❛ The mind of guilt is full of scorpions. And I wouldn't wish their sting on anyone. ❜
❛ I don't need nor want to humiliate you, you're doing fine on your own. ❜
❛ Smart girls are only sexy until they don't wanna fuck you, and then they're competition, and then what do you do? You take them down a peg. ❜
❛ Don't have to be smart to be dangerous. I'm not scared of rattlesnakes 'cause they're so smart. ❜
❛ I assume I'm authorized to negotiate on your behalf with this individual? Unless you object right now, I assume I'm authorized to approach these negotiations from a hostile posture. ❜
❛ You're so out of touch with your human side...you can't even listen to anything outside your own head. ❜
❛ You've got to be smart. You have to realize, you can't trust people. Not you. Not anyone. ❜
❛ I haven't seen you sleep in like...I mean, it's been a fucking long time. Like, horror movie long. ❜
❛ You are losing it, honey. ❜
❛ Or maybe I know what's actually happening here. Crazy as it sounds. If all this crazy bullshit is right, then maybe I know how to stop it. ❜
❛ Well, she's... she's quite dead. Isn't she? ❜
❛ Life is insane. It is madness. The sooner you understand that, the better off you'll be. ❜
❛ The world might not be safe but listen to me, and listen carefully. I won't let anything happen to you. ❜
❛ All these terrible things and I thought, that's when people come together. But we've never been further apart. ❜
❛ I expect he's the kind of man you call if you, I don't know, accidentally kill a prostitute and need to dismember the corpse. ❜
❛ I like to think he killed someone. I like to think he's eaten human flesh. I like to think he took a piss on the tip-top of the world. ❜
❛ Tell me it's worth it. Tell me you know the risk and I'll be there with you. I'll back you up. Just tell me. ❜
❛ Shut your mouth, get your shit together. The fuck is wrong with you? ❜
❛ Men, when they think they're immortal, all they want to do is fuck. When they figure out they're going to die, all they want to do is fuck. ❜
❛ It just makes you think, you know, life is so fucking short. ❜
❛ You don't have to be a tyrant, but if you don't want to be consistently cruel, then you have to be sufficiently brutal at least once to establish authority. ❜
❛ Why the fuck would you do that? I'm sorry. Why the fuck would you do that, sweetheart? ❜
❛ You smell like shit and you look like shit, and you're acting weird. ❜
❛ If anybody spoke to me like this, there would be repercussions! You do not get a free pass! ❜
❛ I'm afraid you're ringside for my reckoning, old friend. ❜
❛ I thought it was an act. I figured you just played the housewife so you could keep a roof over your head. Spread your legs or suck his dick twice a week and you're set. You never have to work a day in your life. And I thought, "Good for her, she found her angle," but...this is really you. Isn't it? ❜
❛ I thought you only existed in the movies. ❜
❛ Words got us into this, words can get us out. ❜
❛ You're a collection of impeccable, elaborate masks in orbit of a stunted heart. ❜
❛ There are certain things one shouldn't have to face in life. Time enough for self-reflection after. ❜
❛ You're a monster, you know that? ❜
❛ I don't normally like to get my hands this dirty, but honey, you earned it. ❜
❛ You only ever wanted to be loved by him. You only ever wanted his approval. And it's still no fucking excuse. ❜
❛ I see you now. I look at you and I see... You. The poverty of you. ❜
❛ I don't know you. The man I know, the man that I love could never… But you're not him. Are you? ❜
❛ But I didn't know! Did I? I didn't know who I was dealing with. ❜
❛ That candle will last you an hour or so, then, I'm afraid, you're in the dark. ❜
❛ I find most people have a threshold qualifier. Something or someone they'd be unwilling to sacrifice, no matter how sweet the deal. ❜
❛ The real world is Darwinian. Survival, chaos, power. Leverage. ❜
❛ You feel it. In the air. We're sitting outside of time and space. ❜
❛ This is the moment luck meets opportunity. ❜
❛ In the ancient world, we'd seal this with blood, or spit. And then later, papyrus. But, a deal's a deal all over the world. ❜
❛ We're a... virus, I think. People, I mean. ❜
❛ But everyone loves something. And in that love there's collateral. ❜
❛ I have no collateral. Collateral is leverage. And I won't be leveraged. ❜
❛ I say this with love. Let it go. Let it all go. ❜
❛ There is a lot about my job I love. But there are moments like these that bring me no joy. ❜
❛ So I say, we stand tall and proud. Bill's come due. Let's not hide here in the basement like we've got something to be ashamed of. No. Not us. You and me against the world. ❜
❛ It may not have been perfect, but you can't say we didn't change the world. How many people can say that at the end? ❜
❛ I knew I would climb to the top of the tower on a pile of corpses. ❜
❛ It don't matter in the end why you did any of it. I don't fucking care why you did it. We don't want your confession, or your rationale, or your explanation. ❜

“So what if I broke my arm I’m still doing it.” for Clack? (Cloud/Zack, is that their ship name?)
It was really such a shame that duty came first. Maybe if he'd learned to slack off a little more, he wouldn't be in this predicament. Not that it actually was one, since he had no intention of changing his plans. The show must go on! Too late, Zack realized he'd said that last bit out loud. Thankfully, it didn't really matter since the only person who'd heard him was Kunsel. Un-thankfully, Kunsel was a lot more levelheaded and always the first to point out when Zack was about to do something stupid. "I think you need to hit up the medic ward first, man. You don't look so hot." "I'm always hot. At least according to my fan club."
"Har, har." It was obvious Kunsel was rolling his eyes under the helmet. Maybe that was why he always kept it on, so Zack wouldn't see him constantly looking exasperated. "Seriously though, that fight with the Behemoth really messed you up. I know you're a 1st, but you don't constantly have to throw yourself in front of us little people." "That's exactly what it means." Zack winced as he accidentally jostled his arm. "Fine, fine. But you still look like shit. Just tell him that you need to postpone your little shindig. If he really likes you like you keep going on about, then he won't mind." Zack jumped up, ignoring the surge of pain in his arm. "No way, man! Do you have any idea how long it took me to get up the guts to ask him out? Not to mention find a night we were both free?!" He flailed around a little with his good arm. "So what if I broke my arm? I'm still doing it!" Kunsel rolled his eyes again. Obviously it was hidden, but Zack just knew. "You're such an idiot sometimes." "Huh?" "You're a 1st. This guy's a cadet, right?" A goofy little grin formed on Zack's face. "Yeah." "So just rearrange his schedule so that he so happens to have a night off the same time you do." Zack opened his mouth to argue, but snapped it shut when he realized that his friend was...absolutely brilliant. "Heyyy, good idea!" His good arm slung around Kunsel's shoulder. "What would I do without you?" "Probably lose an arm." Kunsel chuckled and gently nudged Zack away. "Now call the guy and get your ass down to medic before I have to drag you." "Yeah, yeah." Kunsel only left when Zack actually picked up his phone, proving he wasn't going to do anything stupid and stand around much longer with a broken arm. He quickly dialed the number that was now as familiar to him as his own, his heart thudding uncharacteristically fast as it rang once...twice... "Hello?" His chest fluttered, his smile widened, and butterflies fluttered in his stomach. He allowed himself to swoon for a second, glad that no one was around to see him act like a fool. That was how Cloud's voice made him feel. "Hey Spike," he greeted. "Zack?" Even though Cloud was one of the shyest, quietest people he'd ever met, there was always a little lilt to his voice whenever they spoke, like Cloud was still amazed that Zack had taken an interest in him. It made the butterflies in Zack's stomach have little caterpillar babies and flutter some more. "Got it in one!" He grinned, only the jolt of pain that shot up his arm when he tried to switch his phone to the other hand reminding him why he'd actually called. "I'm really, really sorry, but I have to cancel our date tonight." There was silence on the other end for a good thirty seconds. Zack wasn't actually sure if it was because Cloud was disappointed, or that he'd actually referred to their little get-together as a date. "Want to have dinner this weekend? Maybe get out of Midgar for a little while?"
"...With me?"
"Yeah, you. I like you a lot, y'know." "...How come?" Cloud finally asked in a small voice, breaking Zack out of his daydreams. "I had this mission earlier today, right?" At Cloud's hum in acknowledgement, Zack continued, "It was mostly just supposed to be me observing, but then this Behemoth charged in outta nowhere. I had to step in." "What happened?" "We got it without any causalities, but it really hated me." He laughed a little. "It swiped me away like I was nothing and I slammed into a wall. My arm's broken."
There were a couple of beats of silence as Cloud let this sink in. "Oh. Okay, then. I guess you need to rest, right?" "Once I go down to medic, yeah." "What?" Cloud's disappointment seemed to immediately melt into concern. "You haven't gotten it checked out yet? How long have you been back? You said your mission was this morning!" "It was," Zack admitted with a sheepish chuckle. "I've been back for a few hours." "Why?!" "I..." Zack trailed off a little. He felt a bit like a fool for admitting this, but he liked Cloud an awful lot and had really been looking forward to their date. Dinner at a nice place, maybe a movie, walking along the fields outside of Midgar and stargazing... Finally, he let out a wistful little sigh. "I just really didn't want to miss out on being with you, my arm be damned." Cloud was quiet for a long moment, and Zack would've thought he'd hung up if not for the shaky little breaths in the receiver. Finally, though, there was a reply. "Does the medic ward allow visitors this late?" It was by far one of the last things Zack expected to hear. "Huh?"
"I mean..." Now Cloud sounded hesitant. "I know you're in SOLDIER, so it's probably not a big deal for you to get fixed up. And it's probably not what you planned for our....date." He paused. "But at least if I came to visit, we could be together for a while. If you want." "Of course I do!" Zack blurted out. Cloud was right - this was a far cry from what he'd wanted to do, but as long as they were together, that was really all that mattered. "Meet me at medic, okay? They usually like to keep me under observation for a few hours to make sure the mako's not doing anything weird." "Okay." Zack could hear the smile in Cloud's voice and he just about melted. "I'll meet you there." "Perfect." After he hung up, Zack just leaned against the wall with a goofy little grin on his face, staring into space. Visions of the medic doing something painful that would make Cloud want to grab his hand swam in mind. He ignored the logical part of his brain that reminded him that he'd had a high pain tolerance even before making SOLDIER. As he headed down to the medic ward, he remember Kunsel's advice and mentally went over his calendar. He was pretty sure he had next Friday off...and now, Cloud would too. And this time, he'd make sure no broken limbs got in the way.

FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT.
➳ request: Heyy! I hope you’re doing great and having a great day!May I request a scenario in which Akira Hayama gives his S/O a really spicy dish without knowing they can’t eat spicy things but they’re insisting to finish the plate and acting like they can handle the spice?Thank you in advance!
➳ character/s: hayama akira
➳ warnings: swearing, this is crackhead shit but it’s also a bit cute
➳ word count: 0.5k
➳ notes: i am LIVING for all these food wars requests. my favourite animes need more attention ;v; some of the stuff here comes from working in an indian restaurant, so i’m not entirely unknowledgeable lmaoo
𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 / 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭  / 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 / 𝐰𝐢𝐩 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭

hayama could not accept a loss for these autumn elections. the theme is fucking curry, he needs to win. and if he doesn’t win, then... it’s rigged. obviously.
knowing that he had indian heritage, you probably should’ve thought twice before agreeing to taste test for him. but uhhh, yeah, you definitely didn’t because here you are with a nice hot bowl of curry and a lil bit of raita on the side. hayama would’ve given you less, but he also knew that you hadn’t eaten today, so his loving instincts said ‘feed this bitch’.
as he put the bowl down in front of you - you have no idea how his hand can just grab the bowl from above and hold it by the rim - he placed a gentle kiss to your temple.
‘don’t be nice, tell me what you actually think, my dear,’ he said, leaning on the kitchen island and awaiting your feedback. as you took a bite, your face portrayed about thirty emotions all at once. ‘how is it?’ he asked.
coughing into your fist, your eyebrows furrowed and tears lined your eyelashes. ‘yeah, it’s really goo-’ another cough interrupted your sentence, alarming hayama.
‘are you ok?’
after hacking up your lungs just a little longer, you smiled at him. ‘i’m fine. it’s good, though you could never cook anything bad.’ hayama frowned at you slightly, waiting for your actual feedback. after a pause and maybe another twenty seconds of suppressing coughs and tears, you spoke again. ‘it’s got a lot of kick, don’t you think?’
a low chuckle filled the room and he pushed the small dish of raita towards you. ‘this will help make it milder for you if you want.’ his smile faltered as you dumped the whole thing into the curry, and even then you were still coughing.
‘yeah, i mean... it helps a little bit?’
‘you don’t need to finish it if you think it’s too spicy-’
‘NO, SHUT UP, I’M EATING IT!’
as you kept forcing the curry down your throat, you didn’t notice hayama leave the room to grab two things: a vomit bag and a box of tissues. when he returned, you were only about halfway through the dish, but you were powering through, even if there were tears streaming down your face and your were sniffing like crazy.
taking a tissue, he took your chin gently and tilted it towards him, wiping your tears from your face before leaning down to give you a gentle kiss. when he pulled away, he ruffled your hair affectionately.
‘thank you for enduring this pain for my sake,’ he said with amusement. he moved to walk away, but your hand took his wrist. turning back to you curiously, you held out a spoonful for him. taking a bite of the curry, he pondered for a moment, and though his spice tolerance was vastly better than yours, he found himself saying, ‘you know what... i think i see what you mean.’

Are there any Revenge-family siblings we haven’t met or heard about? We’ve seen the Hands siblings and the Boodhari siblings and obviously Alma and Charlie, but does anyone else have siblings who haven’t shown up in the stories yet? There are a lot of confirmed only children and the only sibling I can think of off the top of my head who has been alluded to but not shown up is Faith’s sister who was the one who gave Izzy her ring after she died.
( There may be, but they haven't made themselves known to me yet! But in the meantime, here's someone I never thought I'd write about)
Pru Morris was walking away.  It wasn’t the first time. At eighteen, she’d walked away from her parents' house with just the contents of her carefully packed messenger bag in boots that belonged to a dead girl. Those boots had carried her to her first three dead end jobs and then, at last, to a big accounting firm where an executive called her ‘assistant’ and meant ‘surrogate wife’.
For three years, Pru handled everything in the man’s life, including his actual wife. She never slept with him, but it was a close thing once or twice. The second winter, the boots had died at last with the sole slipping from the right one. She probably could’ve fixed them, but it felt right to put away childish things. She’d never even liked them really. But she didn’t throw them away, just tucked them in her closet and forgot about them.
Then the man got promoted and got a new assistant. Pru was handed over to the new man without ceremony. It was a silent divorce that she felt in bones, and she forced herself to start dating again to make up for it.
Drew Morris was fine. He had a good job, a good car, and he took her to nice dinners. He wasn’t flashy, but he was steady. When he proposed a few months later, it was with a decent ring and she said yes without much further thought.
The honeymoon was beautiful. Days in the sun and he held her hand and Pru felt loved for the first time in a long time. But then they got back and the handholding stopped. For a while, she was sure she’d done better than her mother at least. Drew never raised his hand to her,  rarely yelled.
But he also barely looked at her, barely spoke to her at all. On her birthday, every year he had a bouquet sent to her at work and every year, the card was the same tucked among the blooms. Pru knew his assistant had ordered them. It was the same message she had chosen for her executives a dozen times.
“How pretty!” One of the other girls at worked cooed. “You’re so lucky!”
“Lucky that someone else keeps his calendar,” she said flatly. It was year four.
Pru Morris was twenty-nine years old. She was sitting in her bedroom which was meant to be theirs, but Drew was away a lot. He told her to decorate it however she wanted, then wrinkled his nose when he’d seen what she’d done. ‘A little gaudy, isn’t it?” he’d said and all the pretty things she’d picked out became cheap and tatty all at once.
Maybe that was what she needed. A fresh take on the bedroom. She could redo it, get it right this time and maybe he’d want to linger. With a renewed sense of purpose, Pru got a garbage bag and started pulling things out of her closet that she hadn’t worn in a while. She’d do a purge, donate some things and get started on a fresh vision.
At the back of the closet, she found a pair of black boots. The right heel had come away on one. Pru fell to her knees and drew them out. Without any thought, she pulled them to her chest and started crying. The tears shocked her. Pru was not a weeper. She hadn’t cried on her wedding day or the day her executive dumped her. But today she wept over the broken leather and rubber, holding the boots to her as tenderly as a baby.
“Fuck him,” she realized as she held them tight to her. Pru didn’t swear, crisp memory of her father shoving soap into her mouth had ripped all that away. Even she said ‘heck’ she’d remember the horrible taste and his hand fisted in her hair.
But she didn’t taste soap right now. Just her own ears. “FUCK HIM!” she stood abruptly, letting the shoes cascade down. Then she went and got her suitcase and filled it with the few thing she cared about, some clothes and her toiletries. She ripped off her perfectly nice ring and left it on top of a note that was much politer than she wanted to be. She had her own money, carefully hoarded. Drew had been so afraid of her siphoning off his money that he insisted on separate accounts. Asshole.
She got a studio a few blocks from work. Cramped, but her own again. She put the boots by the front door as a reminder.  For good luck, she’d tap her toes against them as she went out the door to meet her lawyer.
In the end there was no fight and she got plenty of Drew’s money anyway. Enough that she could sustain herself in the studio for as long as she liked. For a few months, she stayed at work, talked like everything was normal and only mentioned the divorce if asked where her ring had gone. People fussed like she should be melting down, made sympathetic noises, asked if he had cheated.
She just shook her head and said, “Just went our separate ways.”  A few of the women stopped talking to her, but Jenny from the front desk and had groaned and said, “I KNOW that feeling.”
They went out for drinks. Jenny was raw and funny and Pru had no idea why they’d never talked before. She was divorced too and was happy to talk to Pru about every dating service under the sun. They went speed dating together and laughed over the awkwardness afterwards. Pru had had a lot of ‘friends’ over the years, but Jenny felt like a real friend.
“Hey, there’s a three bedroom opening up in my building, what do you think?” Jenny offered. “Get you out of that bachelorette special and me away from my horrible roommate?”
The apartment got a lot of light and Jenny was a good roommate. They hung out a lot, but also gave each other space. And the first birthday Pru had in the apartment, Jenny gave her a framed print of the poster for A Walk to Remember, Pru’s favorite movie. Pru had cried for the second time in as many years. Jenny had hugged her and not judged.
“Hey, is it okay if I move these?” Jenny asked when they were both on a cleaning kick. The boots sat by the door still.
“No!” Pru said then winced.
“I don’t mean away,” Jenny assured her. “I got us a shoe rack. Is that okay”
“You did?”
“Mhm, so we don’t have the water dripping onto the hardwood, there’s a mat that goes under it.”
“Yeah okay.”
Jenny set the boots on the lower rack, noticed the broken sole.
“They were my sister’s,” Pru blurted, the words no longer able to stay behind her teeth.
“You have a sister?” Jenny’s eyes went wide.
“She died. When we were still kids.”
“Oh wow, that must’ve been awful.”
“We didn’t get along,” Pru twisted her hands together in front of her. “Fought all the time like everyone else in that house, but I figured we were sisters, you know? It’d work out. It always did on tv. And then she just died. Mom and Dad tried to toss all her things, but I got a few. I didn’t even know why...I was fifteen. Just seemed wrong to make her disappear like that. She had his thug boyfriend, took her ring from me. My parents took her bedding, her cassettes, most of her clothes and just tossed them. I hid her boots under my bed. Grabbed her hair brush too, but I lost it somewhere along the way.”
“Oh, Pru,” Jenny hugged her and she hugged back. The boots stayed on the shoe rack.
Dead at seventeen. Pru was thirty-one. It could happen, she thought as she tapped the boots with her toe each morning. She tapped them the day she changed back her name. She tapped them the day she saw the poster for an interior design class. She tapped them the day she got her certificate and the day she headed out to meet her first client.
No one ever called her work gaudy.
“You’re a miracle worker,” Patrick said when he walked into his new kitchen. “This is exactly what I wanted.”
“You had a really clear vision,” she told him eagerly. Patrick was on the short side, closer to her height and his hair was thinning a little. He dressed beautifully though and had poured over samples with her just as invested as some of her female clients.
He was divorced too, pictures of a daughter scattered around the apartment and a bedroom set aside for her visits.
“You’re great at visions, Pru,” he told her eagerly. He paid her and as soon as the check was in her walled, he said, “This is probably really inappropriate and I hope I’m not putting you on the spot, but would you...get dinner with me some time?”
“I’d like that,” she beamed and she did like it. They both kept their places and Jenny teased her about being ‘the other woman’.
“You’ve got it wrong. He’s the other woman,” Pru announced and then Jenny cried on her, which made things feel a little more even.
Pru Callahan wasn’t walking away from her past  any more. She was running towards the future. And she’d need some sturdy boots for that. With her heart in her throat, she brought them to be repaired and re-soled. That winter she spent every day in fashionable outfits, accessorized with vintage Docs.

October 20 - Dusk
Day 19 Day 21 All Days (Prompt list)
Something about fall meant Evan was incapable of getting through the day without a nap. The cold weather, the constant rain, it really wasn’t his fault that it was perfect nap weather every day. He got home from class around noon and then worked at five almost every day. After eating and doing the bare minimum amount of homework, he had a solid three hours left for napping.
On Mondays, he didn’t work so he tried to skip the nap and be productive. But, if he was particularly tired on a Monday, he got to let himself drift off with no alarm to interrupt.
That’s how it was today. He hadn’t slept well the night before so the second he arrived home, he crawled into bed, pulled out his laptop, and fell asleep before he even found something to watch.
He woke up at dusk. The last remnants of sunlight were disappearing behind the horizon. It wasn’t raining anymore but it was still overcast and cold. Evan’s favorite kind of weather.
He sat up, feeling groggy and disoriented. He didn’t feel well rested, he felt even more exhausted. His mouth was dry and his head ached. He rubbed his eyes and climbed out of bed in search of water.
Jared was in the kitchen cooking dinner when Evan came in, squinting at the harsh light.
Jared eyed him. “You look like you just woke up.”
“I did.” Evan filled a glass with water and drank the entire thing. “You know when you take a nap but you wake up feeling worse?”
Jared nodded, stirring his pot of pasta. “Been there buddy.”
Evan leaned against the wall. “Did you make extra?”
“Why would I do that?” Jared scoffed even though he’d clearly made more than one serving.
“Can I have some? Please? I haven’t gone grocery shopping in so long.”
Jared heaved a big sigh. “Fine. You can have some. For twenty bucks.”
“You’re using four-dollar sauce and ninety-nine cent pasta.” Evan crossed his arms.
“You’re paying for my labor Evan.”
Evan rolled his eyes. “Whatever, fine.” He knew Jared wouldn’t actually charge him. Probably.
Jared dished up two bowls of pasta, passing one to Evan on his way to the couch. Evan settled onto his side and watched Jared scroll through movie choices.
“Lilo and Stitch.”
“I want to watch something new.” Jared said, scrolling past it.
By the time they were halfway through eating, Jared had to admit there was nothing new that looked even marginally appealing. So he put on Lilo and Stitch.
Evan finished eating and set his bowl on the coffee table. He was still sleepy. The rain had started back up and that plus the soft glow of the TV were making him fight to keep his eyes open.
He glanced at Jared. It had been a while since it had happened last. But this felt like the kind of moment where Jared would let it happen.
Evan scooted over on the couch, leaning against Jared just a little. Testing.
Jared didn’t say anything or shove him away. He allowed it. So Evan scooted down and laid his head on Jared’s shoulder. Jared shifted but only to free his arm from under Evan’s weight.
The first time they’d had a moment like this had been a night very similar to this one. It had been raining and they’d been watching a movie. It had been much later at night and they’d both both on the brink of falling asleep. And then Evan did. Only for a minute or so but when he woke up his head was nestled on Jared’s shoulder. And Jared was fully awake. Saying nothing.
And now it just happened sometimes. Not every night, just occasionally. Maybe once or twice a month. They never talked about it, during or after. They had an unspoken agreement to never acknowledge it was happening.
Until now. Until tonight when Jared shifted and said, “I don’t remember offering to be your pillow.”
Evan hummed but didn’t move yet. “I can get up if you want.”
Jared said nothing.
A song in the movie started and ended before either of them spoke.
Jared shifted again. “You can stay.” He said finally. “But I’m moving my arm.”
It took Evan two seconds after it happened to realize Jared meant he was going to put his arm around Evan.
And that made it different. Because they weren’t supposed to talk about it. They weren’t supposed to put arms around each other.
Evan was going to scream.
“I can feel that every single muscle in your body is tensed.” Jared said.
“Well… I’m stressed.”
“You started it.”
“What?” Evan lifted is head to stare at Jared.
“You came over here to lay on me so like… it’s your fault if you’re stressed.” Jared shrugged. He was still intently watching Lilo and Stitch. “Do you think they ever went tried to get her in therapy? I think it would’ve really helped her.”
“Well,” Evan slowly laid his head back down. “Getting an alien dog fixed a lot of her problems.”
Jared laughed.
By the time the movie ended Evan was barely awake. Jared’s voice was soft in the dark.
“You’re less tense.”
“I’m less stressed.” Evan mumbled. He let his eyes close. “Put another movie on.”
Jared said nothing. He just picked up the remote and started scrolling through the options.

kōtarō bokuto
♡ you sighed, crossing your arms over your chest - you knew he was a bit boyish sometimes but you never expected him to be so childish in regards to a simple request
♡ ‘bokuto, i have so much on my plate!’ you cried, tightly gripping the sheets underneath you, ‘planning the wedding, going to work, doing almost every chore in this damn house and filing all our fucking taxes!’
♡ you momentarily paused to look at him, expecting a look of sympathy but instead getting an eyeroll which prompted you to continue, ‘and all i am asking for is you to run a few errands! that’s it! why are you so opposed? i thought you enjoyed grocery shopping?!’
♡ bokuto pulled his night-shirt over his head as he stormed to his side of the bed, ‘it’s not fun without you!’  he whined childishly, plopping himself down next to you and gasping when you had the audacity to shuffle away from him
♡ ‘it’s not supposed to be fun, bokuto!’ you yelled, completely fed-up with him at this point, ‘a few errands, that’s all i ask of you!’
♡ bokuto notices how your voice shook and your lashline glistened; he didn’t want you to cry so he begrudgingly gave it, but with a strong comment to go along with it so you knew that he really didn’t want to
♡ 'fine! i don't need you anyway!'
♡ then proceeded to dramatically pull the duvet over himself and pout, averting his gaze to the wall opposite
♡ in this context, he hoped that you’d understand his comment and not take him too seriously but since you were already on the verge of tears, this simply pushed you over the edge
♡ you buried your face in your hands and hid under the blanket in hopes he didn’t realise you were crying but his senses are just different when it comes to you so try stifle that sob all you want, he’s still going to hear it and he’s still going to instantly pull you into his arms while frantically apologising
♡ ‘please don’t cry, (y/n)! i really didn’t mean it- i do need you! i love you so much, my life wouldn’t be the same without you! you do so much for me and i am so sorry for not showing you how grateful i am! like you’re so pretty and kind and talented and smart - only geniuses can do taxes - so i’m just so lucky to be with you and i can’t wait until we’re married. please, don’t leave!’
♡ eventually his praise slowly became pleas as he begged for you not to leave/hate him
♡ he does not want to lose you bc of a silly comment he made-
♡ eventually his endless pleas started to become more than background noise to your sobs, so you finally hugged him back, whispering, ‘i can’t wait to marry you too, kō.’
♡ this action lifted a massive weight off his chest and he let out an audible sigh of relief, his grip on you loosening, ‘mhm, and of course, i’ll run the errands, babe. i suppose, it’s the least i could do.’
♡ you hummed in agreement, glad that a part of your mental stress had been relieved, allowing you to finally relax in his arms and perhaps doze off in his loving embrace
♡ ...
♡ ‘mm, you smell like marshmallows, (y/n)- can i add marshmallows to the shopping list?’
Tumblr media Tumblr media
kiyoomi sakusa
♡ he spoke as if you were making some crazy, otherworldly request but in reality, all you were asking was for him to take paternity leave to help you care for the baby
♡ you’re not really a baby-expert so you thought that sakusa would be happy to stay home and learn how to care for the child with you - as a couple, as a team
♡ but he was extremely opposed to the idea, spewing out a much of nonsense as to why he needs to go to work, but a part of believed that he just didn’t want to deal with his child - or maybe, he didn’t want to deal with you
♡ ‘sakusa, how do you expect me to raise a whole baby on my own! they need a lot of attention - i don’t think you understand how big of a commitment this is, you can’t treat it like a hobby!’ you cried, having long before burst into tears because your mind told you the worse - that he didn’t actually love you, he lied about wanting a kid, he lied when he said ‘i do’.
♡ usually during arguments when he notices that you’ve started to cry, he’ll drop everything he was doing to shuffle over to you and wrap you in arms, then whisper sweet-nothings into your ear until you feel better but today, he showed little consideration to your emotions as he continued pacing through the living room while you bawled your eyes out on the couch
♡ ‘i thought you loved (c/n)! you were so gentle around them but it turns out you’re not even willing to take a paternity leave to help take care of them!’
♡ ‘what happened to the man i married?’
♡ ‘kiyoomi, you need to revaluate yourse--’
♡ you wouldn’t allow him to get a word in, which was probably for the best considering he had nothing good to say
♡ but you were forced to cut yourself off when heard the sound of shattering so you immediately search for the source of the noise and there stood sakusa, his hand resting on the decorative table in the place your framed wedding photo once was - now, it was laying smashed on the ground surrounded by it’s own glass shards
♡ he pushed it off like the petty bastard he was
♡ while you sat stunned, staring the mess he just voluntarily made, he quickly turned on his heel and strolled away at a leisurely pace, 'my life was a lot easier before you entered it.'
♡ that was the last you heard of it for the next three days - you were giving each other the silent treatment
♡ you couldn’t have any sort of grain for three whole days bc they are all on the top shelf and you usually make him grab it for you but you refused to talk to him-
♡ you were the first one to break it though as you noticed that he hadn’t went to work for the last three days and curiosity got the better of you
♡ ‘kiyoomi.’ you called out to him from the kitchen but he didn’t even look up from his book - ‘parenting for dummies’ - causing you to scoff, ‘why aren’t you going to work? did something happen?’
♡ finally, he sighed and shifted his gaze off his book but only to shoot you demeaning look, as if you were stupid, ‘paternity leave, duh.’
♡ the corners of your lips twitched into a smile, which you quickly forced away when you recalled the events that occurred three days ago and the hurtful things he said, instinctively looking over at the decorative table to remind yourself of what he did
♡ but to your surprise, the picture was no longer laying on the ground, pooling in shards of glass but rather, it sit on the table with a brand new frame - which had both of your initials engraved onto it along with the date of the ceremony
♡ you didn’t need to choke out an inquiry as sakusa noticed your stunned expression and answered on his own, ‘i bought a new frame. i hope you like it.’
♡ of course you liked it; this one was a chic black with silver decals which matched your living room aesthetic way better than the other, tacky blue one did - plus, this one was customised which made you love it even more
♡ ‘i do. i really do. but i don’t like your attitude lately.’ you muttered, shaking your head as you waddled over to the couch
♡ sakusa was quick to wrap his arms around your waist and pull you down next to him, ‘i’m sorry, love.’ his voice cracked slightly as he whispered in your ear, ‘i cannot put into words how much harder my life would be without you. i just..hope you understand.’
♡ it’s not that sakusa was bad with words; he was just too emotional and overwhelmed to produce a long, coherent sentiment for you so he just prayed that you recognized that everything he said on that day was meaningless
♡ ‘i love you, (y/n).’
Tumblr media Tumblr media
atsumu miya
♡ you rolled your eyes, ignoring him and continuing to type your essay until atsumu slammed your laptop closed
♡ ‘please, (y/n)! you know how much this means to me! i’ve been waiting for this festival for years!’
♡ you scoffed, folding your arms and patiently waiting for him to move his filthy hand off your laptop, ‘i do and i’m proud of you. but i have a lecture that day and my exams are just around the corner - and you know how much my education means to me.’
♡ atsumu had to take a moment to suppress a gag at how sickening and condescending your tone was, ‘it’s just one lecture, (y/n)! you’re not going to fail your exams because you missed one lectu--’
♡ ‘you don’t know that.’
♡ atsumu blinked twice, a unimpressed expression painted on his face as he let out a sigh, realising there was no possible way he’s going to be able to get through to you - i mean, he’s been trying for the last 20 minutes to no avail
♡ he ran his hand through his hairs, turning on his heel, heading towards the door and left
♡ but not before peering over his shoulder to shoot you a nasty glare and spitting, ‘you’re so selfish. you can’t even do one thing that’d make me happy - you never can.’
♡ that was the final thing he said to you for the next....20 minutes
♡ that’s actually a new record for him - usually he storms out of the room, sulks for a minute or two then renters to beg for your forgiveness
♡ but not today. he was so mad that he needed 20 whole minutes to cool down and come to his senses
♡ but once he did, when he came back into the room, he expected to see you typing your essay or studying as usual since his words don’t usually effect you too much
♡ so of course he was shocked when he slipped back into your shared bedroom to see you with the duvet tossed over your whole figure, faint sobs coming from underneath
♡ his immediate reaction was to pull the blanket away and offer himself as your source of heat, so he wrapped you in his muscular embrace, ‘b-babe.’ he stuttered, eyes-wide as he never would’ve thought you’d take his words seriously, ‘are you okay?’
♡ he knew that was a stupid question but he simply asked it to determine how sad you were - and considering you weren’t able to babble out a reply, that wasn’t a good sign
♡ ‘you’re not selfish.’ he reassured you while rubbing circles on your back, ‘if anything, i was being selfish- and nothing makes me as happy as you do, (y/n). i- i really didn’t mean it.’
♡ he paused only to place a kiss on the top of your head, ‘i love you- and to show you how much i love you..i’ll drop you off at your lecture on that day, and take you to the festival afterwards; does that sound good?’
♡ you were finally able to choke out a response but only to explain how unachievable his idea was, ‘my lecture finishes at 5 and the festival ends at 7, and there is a 45 minute drive between the two- you’re only going to be able to spend a little over an hour there.’
♡ ‘and i’ll have a blast in that time!’
♡ you sighed, your lips twitching into a small smile as you buried your face into his chest as you really couldn’t look him in the eye, ‘and why can’t you just go without me again?’
♡ ‘who the fuck am i going to play dance dance revolution against if you don’t come?’
Tumblr media Tumblr media
shōyo hinata
♡ you crossed your arms over your chest, internally regretting ever opening your mouth to try calm down fiancé as now, not only is he even more angry, but also most of his anger with now directed at you rather than manager, like it was previously
♡ eventually, you started to develop a headache from all his screaming and shouting so you politely asked him to calm down, to which he replied, ‘calm down?! you’re the one who made me mad with your rude-ass comment and now you’re telling me to calm down?!’
♡ you preferred it when he was demanding for you to say ‘butt’ instead of ‘ass’ because now that’s he spent more time with bokuto, he’s started swearing more often and to be honest, it’s scary when a 5″4 ginger sunshine is yelling at you, calling you a ‘rude-ass’
♡ ‘shōyō, if i’m completely honest, i have no idea why what i said was so mean and i have no idea what’s going on- why are you so mad at your manager?’
♡ suddenly, he twisted his neck to look at you as if you had just been possessed, ‘what?’ he inquired in a hushed tone, his voice hoarse and oddly sinister
♡ you quirked a brow, too tired of his constant bitching to pay attention to his tone of voice, ‘yeah, you speak too fast, shōyō.’ you said with a shrug, checking your nails to ensure that he knew that you truly did not care about how he scowled at you, ‘plus, i just don’t understand why this gets you so worked up - i try, i really do, but i guess your volleyball problems just go over my head.’
♡ hinata clenched his fist, realising that he wasn’t going to make any progress by complaining to you. he whipped his head away before storming off, not even sparing you a final glance, ‘you just don’t get it; you don’t understand anything i say and you don’t even make a fucking effort! you just think you are so much better than everyone - well, you’re not! try coming back down to reality with the rest of us, and then we can talk.’
♡ followed by a slam of the door which rattled through the whole apartment
♡ you really had never seen hinata so angry before in your 6 years of being together
♡ the words he said were far from pleasant and a part of you wondered in he genuinely meant them, perhaps he had been supressing those thoughts for ages and now that he was finally mad, he could let it all out
♡ though you tried to reassure yourself that everyone says things they don’t mean when they are angry, but the tears started flowing on their own
♡ hinata didn’t plan on seeing you for another few hours as he had the idea of heading over to bokuto’s, have a drink and cool down but when he hopped out the shower, he realised he had left his phone in the bedroom - where he left you.
♡ begrudgingly, he slid into the room with the intention of grabbing his phone then leaving but that went to shit when he noticed that you were bundled up under the blankets, and he could hear distant sniffles coming from underneath
♡ and hinata only has four moods: mad asf, happy asf, loving you & volleyball...asf
♡ so upon seeing you in such a state, presumably because of what he said, elicited his mood to change from ‘mad asf’ to ‘loving you’
♡ he pounced on you, causing you to fall sideways and squeal but he simply did not give a fuck
♡ ‘baby! i am so sorry! i didn’t think what i said would make you cry!’ he blubbered, or at least, that’s what it sounded like since you couldn’t actually see him due to the fact he had trapped you under the blankets, ‘i don’t know why i even said that! you’re not like that at all- i don’t think of you like that!’
♡ he paid little regard for your pleas of mercy as you squirmed frantically under the blanket, trying to escape his grip and body weight. he simply continued babbling on about how sorry he was and how amazing you are, ‘you are down here with the rest of us - i just said for no reason. please don’t be mad! you are - what does bokuto call it again? - oh! a humble--’
♡ ‘shōyō! i’ll forgive you if you get off me right now - i can hardly breathe!’

“I heard you dropped by this weekend,” you said as a greeting, a playful smile on your lips. “Looking for me?”
If the tips of his ears didn’t tinge pink, you would have guessed Shouto was completely unaffected by your words.
“Mn.” He drew his attention away from your gaze and pointedly adjusted his cufflinks. “Good morning to you too.”
You laughed, accepting you wouldn’t get anything out of your attempt at teasing. “Morning, Shouto. How was your weekend?”
The cafe was quite busy this hour, but Miyazaki took over the other register to alleviate the stress (though, what she really said was so you and pretty boy—who happened to be rich rich—could talk). Whatever the reason, you were glad for a small break whenever you could get it.
“You could say it was busy,” he replied, sounding a bit tired. For the first time since you met him, you actually noticed how exhausted he looked. You wanted to put cucumbers on his eyes and lay his head down on your lap to coax him to sleep. Nonetheless, he smiled softly at you. “And yours? I hope you were able to have time to rest and relax.”
You nodded. “I just slept a lot and caught up on the shows I missed throughout the week.”
“The real way a weekend should be spent.”
His voice was teasing but he didn’t sound mocking. Just...somewhat playful. There was something about his tone that made you want to hear it again.
“Something tells me you need a weekend away where you could just relax and do nothing,” you commented, tapping the back of your pen to your chin. “Do you not have any days off at work?”
He considered this. “Depends what you mean by day off.”
“If you have to ask that, that probably means you don’t have a day off, huh?” you said with a frown, holding your hand over your chest as you sighed dramatically. “You poor thing. Overworked and tired. Maybe I should steal you away one weekend and get you to just relax.”
You were only half-serious.
“Maybe you should,” agreed Shouto, sounding full-serious.
“Maybe I will,” you blurted before you could stop yourself. Maybe you could if you actually had his number… Then, feeling shameful you said, “But, ah, anyway, what can I get for you today? We actually have cheese danishes again!”
His face brightened. “You do? I’ll take five dozen.”
With a laugh you took down his order. You really weren’t sure where all these pastries were going when he bought it, but judging from his expression, you figured it must be somewhere good.
“And for your drink?”
“This time I’ll have a large green tea with almond milk, please.”
You nodded but tilted your head to the side in question. “No coffee with extra shots of espresso today?”
“I add too much sugar and creamer to my coffee,” he admitted sheepishly. “And with all the baked goods I’ve been eating I realized I may have had an excess amount of sweets lately.”
With an understanding laugh you patted his hand that was resting on the counter woefully. “I can definitely relate to that. If too many sweets are bad for you they shouldn’t have made it taste so good.”
Shouto glanced down at where your hands touched, an expression you couldn’t quite discern on his face. Averting your gaze, you quickly pulled your hand back. Was that inappropriate of you? Did he find it too pushy?
“Oh— Sorry about that,” you said, rubbing your elbow with your opposite hand. “Got a bit ahead of myself there.”
“No, it’s fine.” He blinked once. “I didn’t mind.”
Unsure if he meant anything by that and unsure if you were reading too much into things, you simply brushed the topic off and moved on to getting his order in telling him the price.
“Paying by card again, I’m assuming?” you asked before hitting the appropriate button on the screen.
“Correct.”
By now the sight of the sleek and pretty credit card was one you grew rather fond of as he scanned over the payment terminal and signed his name. Was it weird you wanted to examine his signature more closely? Shouto seemed like the type of person who would have a fancy signature that somehow looked like art.
As per routine, you told him his order would be ready for pick up at his right and, before he left the register, he thanked you and gave you another $100.
Did it feel any less strange than the first time he tipped you? Not really, no. But you still weren’t going to complain about a generous tip from a willing customer.
Before he left with his cheese danishes and cup of tea in hand, he stopped by next to you with a small smile.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, Y/N.”
You grinned back. “Can’t wait, Shouto!”
— ✩ —
This went on for a whole other week. By this point, he had given you over $1,000 in tip and you were starting to feel like you should give him something in return despite him assuring you he didn’t expect anything.
When you told your friends about the nice guy you met while you were working and they asked for the details, the first thing they said in response to your situation was, “Sugar daddy?”
Before they planted that thought into your head, you just took it as a rich businessman who hated the rich and believed in redistribution of wealth—you couldn’t complain about that. That made him even more appealing, if you must say. But once Kaminari and Ashido whispered those two words, you couldn’t help but see the comparisons.
You had no issues with sugar daddies or sugar babies; as long as they were two consenting adults, what did it matter to you? It just wasn’t something you were looking for at the time and you didn’t want Shouto to get the wrong impression or involve yourself in something you weren’t ready to.
As you commuted to work for your next morning shift, you told yourself today was the day you’d thank him one final time for the tips, but tell him you couldn’t accept anymore. You were sure he’d be understanding but you also hoped it wouldn’t deter him from coming to see you. That was the last thing you’d want.
“Mrs. Miyazaki,” you said between customers. “When Shouto comes in, do you think I can step away from the register to talk to him for a little? I promise it’ll be brief!”
She waved her hand dismissively. “That’s not a problem. Are you finally going to ask him out or something?”
You scratched the back of your neck. “Or something, yeah.”
Thankfully, by the time Shouto arrived today, it was later than he normally came, meaning rush hour was almost dying down.
“Good morning! Someone’s a little late today,” you teased. “Overslept?”
“I wish,” he sighed wistfully. “I had a meeting early this morning and it just ended. Didn’t have a chance to pick up some coffee or pastries beforehand.”
You frowned. “I’m sorry to hear that. I hope whoever was hosting the meeting at least provided you guys drinks and snacks!”
He paused. “He did, but… I just thought yours were better.”
Smiling at the compliment, you preened. “Well, I can’t say I’m not surprised. And I’m glad you were able to drop by still. Would’ve missed you too much otherwise.”
Again, you were only half-serious.
“Hm. I would’ve missed you too.”
And again, he seemed full-serious. Not that you minded.
After taking his order and watching him pay, you pulled him to the side, looking over at your boss so she knew what was going on. She gave you a brief nod as you turned your attention to Shouto.
A lapse of silence went by and he spoke up, “Did you have something you wanted to say?”
“Yeah, actually.” You wrung your fingers nervously, hoping you wouldn’t say anything to offend him since you knew his actions were coming from a kind place. “I just wanted to say… I’m not really looking for a sugar daddy right now.”
He blinked once. Then twice. “Pardon?”
You stared at him, unsure what to say.
“I— Sorry. I wasn’t… It’s not my intention to be a...sugar daddy either.” Shouto’s face flushed a bright pink that made your own cheeks warm up in response.
“But the—the money? I just… I guess I thought…” You winced.
So he wasn’t trying to pick up a sugar baby… Well, this was awkward. But regardless, you think you’ve gotten close enough to him to the point where it would feel weird accepting money from him.
“I’m sorry if I was unclear. It really is just a tip to show appreciation for your service here.”
You shook your head. “No! Sorry, that makes sense! My friends just said… And then I…” you trailed off, feeling a million times more flustered than when you started. “Sorry about that. The sugar daddy mishap aside, I still wanted to say that I really appreciate the tips you gave, but I don’t think I can accept them anymore.”
Slowly, he nodded, adjusting the collar of his dress shirt. “I understand. Did something happen?”
“No, nothing happened!” you were quick to assure. “I really am thankful, but… I think we’ve gotten too close for me to be comfortable accepting that much money, you know?”
Shouto tilted his head to the side, listening intently.
“Like,” you tried to explain, fiddling with your apron, “over the past few weeks I just think we’ve gotten to know each other more and I think of you as a friend of sorts now.” You peered at him through your lashes, hoping your words were making sense. “I think as a relationship develops—for me, at least—adding money into the mix can cause weird power imbalances if not communicated properly. And I just don’t want that for us.”
He thought through your words for a while before agreeing. “I get what you mean. I wouldn’t want to unintentionally make you feel like you owe me anything, so if you’re not comfortable with it, I can stop.”
“Thanks, Shouto,” you said with a beam, glad he was so receptive. Really though, what else did you expect? From your interactions with him you took him to be kindhearted and open. Of course he wouldn’t be upset over this. “But just to be clear, this doesn’t mean you should stop coming! Right? I don’t want to stop being your friend or anything!”
With a small laugh, he nodded. “Sure. I wouldn’t want to part with my favorite cafe. And I’d like to keep being friends as well.”
Those words warmed your heart. You really were nervous about this confrontation earlier; you didn’t want voicing your opinion to mean ending your friendship. (Although, if you sharing what you were comfortable with was enough to end a relationship, then you supposed it was bound to be a toxic and stifling one in the long run and it was good to know in the beginning to end it before it could grow.) Turns out, however, that you didn’t even need to worry about that. He was understanding and sweet and you were glad to have gotten this out of the way.
“Well, as new friends,” you said, gently nudging his side, “maybe we should get to know each other more? Exchange numbers… Hang out outside of this cafe…” You ran through some suggestions, almost bouncing on your feet in excitement. “I mean, I know you’re always so busy and might not have much free time to hang out. But— If you’re ever free one weekend…”
“I’d enjoy that,” he cut in, saving you from blabbering your mouth off and accidentally embarrassing yourself. “Didn’t you say you’d steal me away from work to relax? I’m still holding you to that.”
The beginnings of a smirk formed on his face as he looked at your flustered expression. Was he teasing you?
You huffed, pretending to be insulted by his playful mocking. “Guess I’ll really have to do it then.”
“Guess so.”
“Maybe you should give me your number first so we could plan it.”
“Okay.”
He handed you his phone and you handed him yours, both of your adding your numbers to the contact list. Smiling, you held the phone in front of the two of you to take a contact picture of yourself for Shouto’s phone. To your complete surprise, he laughed before promptly following suit and taking a selfie for his contact image.
“Cute,” you said when he handed you back your phone.
“You too.”
Placing your device back in your pocket, you looked at him, hand on hip. “Since when did you become such a smooth-talker? Am I going to have to guard my heart now?”
His only response was a shrug, but you could see hints of a smile playing on his face. The two of you seemed to be smiling a lot lately, you couldn’t help but notice.
“I should probably let you go to work now—and I should go back to mine.” You gestured to the growing line at the front of the store. Your manager looked like she had things under control, but you didn’t want to take advantage of her kindness. “You should text me later though. If you want.”
“I’ll do that,” Shouto promised, picking up his drink and pastry boxes from the side counter. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Y/N. And… I’ll message you soon.”
As you watched him leave the store, you were certain you had a silly look on your face as you stared in a trance.
“I’ll turn my phone off silent just for you!” you said to his back, hoping he understood what a momentous occasion this was. Your phone was always on silent (unless you were playing a game, of course). But for Shouto, you could handle hearing the obnoxious ringtone and text tone.
With an amused expression he nodded before waving goodbye.
Later on that day, at the end of your shift, you noticed a new message from a certain someone that made your stomach flutter.
Shouto: Hi there. It’s Shouto :)
You never knew those four simple words would be enough to keep the grin plastered on your face up until the moment your head hit your pillow to fall asleep. But, damn— Were you glad that happened to be the case.

Hi hi! I'm back with another chapter. This one might not be as good(?, it's a really fluffy chapter so bear with me.
warnings: sugar daddy jae, he's a big baby, tooth rotting, kinda long.
sugar rush m.list.
taglist: @thoreeo @trustmahluv @sunny-nyu @nanascupid @silent-potato
“Sir, there’s a girl asking to see you.”
“Hey, I’m not a girl!” He chuckled as his finger pressed the button to communicate with his secretary.
“Hey, I’m not a girl!” He chuckled as his finger pressed the button to communicate with his secretary.
“Hey, I’m not a girl!” He chuckled as his finger pressed the button to communicate with his secretary.
“Let her in.”
Only a few seconds later, your head was peeking through his door.
“I brought you coffee.” You extended your hand out, showing him the carton containing two iced drinks. “Are you busy?”
“Not at all, come in.” You sat on the elegant, individual sofa in front of him, his desk serving as a separation. “Are you here to spy on me? Don't you trust me with your father's case?” He pouted, typing something in his keyboard while your palms started sweating.
How could you not trust the man with the highest case winning index in the whole country?
Briefly, after your encounter with the other lawyer, you'd googled him as well as his company. Because of his incredibly high fees, he didn't have many clients, but those few who had enough money to cost him were almost assured to be on the winning side. So then, why hadn't an excellent lawyer like him popped up when you'd first looked for popular firms? Simple, he wasn't popular.
Just like a hidden gem, only a few had the pleasure to know Yoonoh, and you felt beyond grateful for paying that stupid membership weeks ago.
“No, no!” You were quick to defend yourself, frantically shaking your hands to support your previous statement. “Just wanted to be of help.”
Truth to be told, after receiving your first weekly allowance, an unsettling feeling had been squeezing your heart ever since. Call it guilt or whatever, but it didn't set right to be receiving si much help from him when you hadn't had the chance to do anything in return. The least you could do was trying to be polite.
“You shouldn't be spending your money on me. I'm the one supposed to spoil you, remember?” He grabbed the plastic container by the lid, sipping the bitter liquid with an amused smile. “But thank you.”
“I paid my rent yesterday.” You blurted out, trying to avoid the uncomfortable silence threatening to settle between the two of you. “And I still have money left to save for my father's hospital bills, maybe even buy a present for my aunt.”
He admired how noble you were, making sure those around you had enough before even thinking to do something for yourself.
“I have a party this Friday, would you like to attend with me?” Your presence wasn't required as it wasn't a big event, but by the look in your eyes, he knew you were itching to do something in return for his kindness.
“Yes, of course!” Your orbs sparkled with excitement, finally feeling yourself useful.
“If you don't mind waiting, we can go buy something for you to wear right after I finish with this.” For what seemed like the tenth time in less than ten minutes, small beads of sweat rolled down the back of your neck. Thank God he wasn't able to see them. “Oh, come on, don't give me that look!”
“You’ve already done so much for me. I can buy the clothes myself, don't worry.” With a deep sigh, Yoonoh rose from his chair, taking long strides to surround the desk separating you. “W-what are you doing?” Now kneeling on the floor beneath you, his face was dangerously close to yours, coffee breath crashing against your nose.
“Using mind control to convince you to let me take you out.” He stared at you for a couple more seconds before saying: “Is it working?”
“I think your mind control is broken.” You whisper, unable to hold back the small giggles bubbling at the back of your throat.
“How about now?” He batted his eyelashes, trying to act cute despite his bold features. You shook your head.
Just as you thought it was over, his hand went up to cup your jaw, his thumb drawing uneven figures on the ticklish skin.
“How about now?” He repeated. You stammered, unsure of what to say. “Sorry, that was inappropriate.” Aware of your awkwardness and the rising heat in your cheeks, he stood up, walking back to his chair. “But I do want to get you something, would you let me?”
With your mind busy and your guard low, you nodded, unaware of the silly smile on his face.
“I have a few novels on my shelf in case you want something to kill time.”
“Thank you.” You moved to the huge bookshelf facing his desk, grateful your face wasn't visible anymore.
The books were ordered by genre and size, starting from the biggest law-related textbooks to pocket-sized novels, ending with the smallest one he had. The little prince.
Your eyes widened in disbelief. Yoonoh didn't seem to be the type to read that kind of heartbreaking yet beautiful book. Nonetheless, as many said, you can't judge a book by its cover.
An hour or two later, you were halfway into the first book of flowers in the attic, immersed in the small world the author had created. Yoonoh had finished his work a few minutes before, but distracting you when you were reading so vividly, seemed like a crime. He enjoyed the way your eyebrows would knit together every time something shocking happened, clearly too immersed in the novel to notice his intense gaze.
“Y/n...” He whispered once he noticed you were starting a new chapter. You blinked twice, hands clutching the book tightly as you noticed he had finished his work. “You can take it home, don't worry.”
“Sure?” He flashed his pretty dimples as his eyes turned into half-moons.
“You can come back for the rest of the saga when you finish this one. Take as many books as you please, I’ve already read them all.”
“Thank you.” Another act of kindness you had no way of returning. His favors just seemed to be piling up before you could even return any. “Would you like to have dinner with me today? I'm a great cook, or so did my father said.” You blurted out quickly, twisting your hands nervously as you waited for an answer.
“I’d love to. But I might have to attend some work calls if you don't mind.”
“I don't, maybe I'll even have time to bake a cake while you're at it.” God, how bad he wanted to take a picture of that adorably nervous smile.
“Great, so it's settled. Dinner at your place after we go shopping.” He had already put his blazer on, offering his arm to guide you out. With shaky fingers and sweaty armpits, you grabbed it, walking by his side with his secretary’s gazed glued on you. So much for a girl, huh?
Once seated in his car, with the book resting on your lap, you allowed yourself to relax. Yoonoh wasn't a bad person, on the contrary, he was very kind, so there was no use in keeping your guard up when he was around.
“Ready to roll?” You cringed at his use of slang, making him drop his head back to laugh. “What? Isn't it a thing you cool young adults say?”
“Maybe twenty years ago, Yoonoh.” It was the very first time you used his name so informally, and, oh how good it felt to hear you saying it?
“Fine, I won't use it anymore.” He poked your arm like a little child, and for a moment, you wondered if he was actually more than a decade older.
Several bad jokes, two dresses, and a quick stop at the grocery store later, you arrived at your apartment. Yoonoh held everything while you entered the passcode, struggling not to drop a can of vegetables that was starting to bend the edge of the paper bag.
“Ready, hand me something.” You both entered with your hands packed with different things. You went to your room to leave the new dresses while Yoonoh set the paper bags down on the kitchen counter.
“So...” He clapped loudly. “What are we cooking?”
“I bought the ingredients for lasagna. Is that okay with you?” He nodded, lips pressed and dimples in display. “Alright, let's do this.”
It would've been of great help if Yoonoh had told you he didn't know how to cook. But of course, part of the fault was yours for not noticing when he tried to add ketchup to the recipe.
“I burnt it.” He looked at the semi-carbonized pasta with disgust, feeling ashamed of having ruined your dish. “Let’s just throw it away and order something.” He was about to touch the hot container until your grip on his wrist halted his movements.
“We just pulled it out of the oven.” You shook your head in disbelief at the man standing in front of you.
“Sorry.”
Despite Yoonoh’s endless complaining, you ate the lasagna. The flavor wasn't that bad when you scratched off the burnt parts, especially when accompanied by a cold glass of wine.
“It’s not that bad.” You repeated over and over again. A phone call interrupted him from self-pitying any further. “Go on, take it.” You continued eating while he spoke in the living room.
It wasn't until a couple of minutes later that you realized he was whisper yelling at whoever was on the other line. It was your first time seeing him angry, and you didn't like it one bit. The way his face turned completely stoic, his eyes cold as his hand rested on his hip. Sweet, caring, Yoonoh was gone.
“I told you I needed it for today.” He said through gritted teeth. “You better get it before I arrive back at the office, or you can find yourself another job.” Even after he hung up, Yoonoh stood in the middle of the shared area, clutching his phone so tightly, it seemed like it would break any minute.
You wanted to ask if everything was alright, if he needed any help, but most importantly, if the things he needed were related to your father's case, but all the words stuck to your throat like insects in a spider web.
“I need to go.” He simply said, not even bothering to fake a smile. “Thank you for dinner, I'll see you on Friday.” With his free hand, he grabbed the coat hanging from his chair and left, slamming the door on his way out.
Was that the real Yoonoh?
A shiver ran down your spine. What had you gotten into? From what you'd seen, it was only about time he would show his true self to you as well.
All the trust you'd built up during the day, had crumbled down in a matter of seconds. The worst part? You didn't even feel entitled to be scared, not after all he'd done for you.
‘Just keep your distance.’ You repeated like a mantra as you got ready for bed, leaving the book you'd borrowed right where he'd left it, afraid it would burn your fingertips even with the slightest touch.
(...)
The week wasn't nearly as long as you'd wanted it to be, and soon enough, you were struggling to zip the dress you'd bought days ago. Your makeup was done, and Yoonoh had texted you he was on his way, yet, you'd been fighting with the zipper for at least ten minutes. Your fingers were cramping, and the clock was ticking.
Just when you'd finally started to drag the small piece of metal, the doorbell startled you, causing you to let go of it.
“Fuck!” Have you ever felt so desperate that tears start pricking your eyes? Well, that was the exact case happening at the moment.
You opened the door with the salty water collecting at the corner of your eyes, surprising Yoonoh, who was wearing his best dimply smile.
“What’s wrong?” He had a bouquet poorly hidden behind his back, probably to apologize for the night he abruptly left and almost knocked down your door.
“I-I can't zip up my dress.” Your voice came out shaky, giving away the emotions burning your gut. Thankfully, Yoonoh didn't seem to notice, and if he did, he didn't mention it.
“I’ll help you.” He, not-so-discretely, put down the bouquet, gently turning you around to your discomfort. His cold hands touched your back as he dragged the zip up, noticing how tense you were but deciding not to comment on it. “Oh! You haven't moved the book from where I left it.”
“I haven't had time to read.” He hummed, crouching to reach for the bouquet and hand it to you. “Thank you.”
“It’s my way of apologizing for the fit I threw a couple of days ago.” A fit? That was one way to call it.
“It’s okay.” You lied as you pushed the corners of your lips to form a credible smile. “Let’s get going.”
The flowers were left on the kitchen counter before you left. The ride in the elevator was awfully quiet, and Yoonoh had no idea what had happened. You were so chatty the last time he saw you, so of course, he was taken aback by the sudden change.
“It’s not going to take long, so we can head out for some drinks later if you'd like...” You nodded, for you knew speaking would only expose your discomfort. “Is everything alright?”
“Yeah! Just nervous about the party, that's all.”
You stood by Yoonoh’s side for the rest of the evening, smiling and nodding at his acquaintances’ comments. At one point in the evening, a man, not much older than you, approached you both with a wide smile.
“Dude, I hadn't seen you in ages. Stop sending your workers and come see me yourself.” They hugged. Why were they hugging?
“Y/n, this is my brother, Sungchan.” The man with puppy-like eyes embraced you tightly, almost as if welcoming you to his family. “Sungchan, this is y/n, my girlfriend.” He said it so naturally, it’d take a detective to figure out the truth about your relationship.
“I’ve heard a lot about you. I'm sorry for your father. But don't worry, we'll take those bastards down.”
“I’m not following...” You blinked repeatedly, eyes going back and forth between Yoonoh and his brother.
“Sungchan is a doctor. I asked him to look at your father's case for further evidence. My assistant was supposed to pick up the report the day we had dinner, but she forgot to drop by. Now we’re a day behind schedule.” The dark cloud surrounding him seemed to be slowly dissipating as you heard his explanation. “This is an important case, and I want to be as meticulous as possible.”
Thank you didn't seem the right thing to say at the moment, at least not with Sungchan standing there, so you simply grabbed his hand, squeezing it to let him know how grateful you were.
To your surprise, he didn't even flinch as he locked your hands together, causing a small giggle from Sungchan.
“Okay, love birds, I'll get going.” He waved you goodbye, making his way to another table where his friend waited for him.
“Can we talk?” You whispered in his ear, afraid one of the numerous attendants would hear you.
“Sure.” Without letting go of your hand, he drove you to a small, private garden just outside the ballroom. “Are you gonna tell me what's wrong now?” His thumb caressed your knuckles with gentle strokes.
“I’m so sorry.”
“What for?”
“I pushed you away at the minimum trouble when you were only helping me.” He hummed as if he already knew about it. “And it will probably happen again, so please, be patient with me. I'm going through-” Your face collided against his chest as his arms draped over your shoulders, squeezing you tightly.
“Call me reckless, but I've wanted to do this for a while.” Your hands hung at the sides of your torso, unsure what to do next. “You can push me away, I'll understand...”
Instead, your palm found its place in his back, rubbing up and down the designer jacket. Your hair started turning messy from the night breeze, some strands striking Yoonoh’s chin as his embrace only grew tighter.
“Let’s get out of here.” He mumbled, crawling the back of your head with his hand. “Sungchan can deal with my father's friends.”
“Are you sure?” His hum vibrated through his chest, making you giggle at the odd feeling.
Once seated in his car, his hand found yours like a magnet, the warmth emanating from it comfortably enveloping your skin.
The calmness of the atmosphere was interrupted by a call from his brother, who seemed to be anxiously explaining something through the phone.
“Just tell him I had a work emergency.” With that said, he hung up, placing his hand back again on top of yours. “Sorry, he said it was urgent.”
“It’s okay.” An unsettling feeling pinched your stomach, but you decided to dismiss it, immersed in the chilly weather of the dark streets.
You arrived at the river, where Yoonoh asked you to wait for him while he bought a couple of beers. It was a sight to see, both of you clad in fancy clothes, barefoot and chugging down can after can.
“I think I like being with you.” You declared, mind fuzzy from the alcohol intake.
“I think I like it too.” The tips of his ears were rosy, revealing he was as intoxicated as you, maybe even more.
“Would you like to visit my father with me tomorrow?” The words flew out of your mouth before you could even realize. Afraid you'd killed the mood, you tried to excuse yourself, only to be interrupted by his lips grazing your ear, placing a timid kiss on your lobe.
“I’d love to.” It was the sweetest peck, no ulterior motives behind it, just pure affection.
“Are we going too fast?” In your drunken state, what you had felt like a real relationship, not a simple agreement. And this sure felt like a first date.
“We’re moving at our own pace, I believe.” He dropped his head on your shoulder, pressing against it to relieve the dizziness clouding his mind. “Are you okay with that? Maybe you don't want to be with an old creep like me, and I'd totally get it. Just don't let me get my hopes up if that's the case.”
“You might be old, but definitely not a creep.” Your fingers combed through his abundant hair as your mind wandered into the future, grateful for the fact that he wouldn't become bald soon. “Or are you?”
“I don't think so.” Anyone who walked by would've seen a couple of goofs, too intoxicated to talk without slurring the words, but you were living in your own, comfy bubble. “I should get you home before it gets too late. Come on, I'll call a driver.” He tried getting on his feet to no avail, stumbling back a little before falling back on his ass.
“My apartment is nearby. You can stay for the night.” You grabbed both pairs of shoes as his arm surrounded your shoulder for assistance. “If you keep supporting your whole weight on me, we're both gonna fall.” People on the street shot you a couple of funny looks, which was understandable since it wasn't usual to see two drunk idiots walking barefoot in the middle of the night.
“How long till-” Hiccup. “-we get there?” His stare seemed to worsen with every step. “God, I think I might throw up.”
“Stop acting like a teenager, we're almost there.”
As soon as you arrived at the small apartment, you sat him down on the little step where you changed your shoes. You left both pairs on the rack, proceeding to put on slippers to enter the house.
“Don’t leave me here!” He whined, stomping his feet like a little kid.
“Just wait for a second!” His attitude was starting to get on your nerves to the point where you couldn't feel the effects of the beer anymore.
You grabbed a rag from the kitchen cabinet and dampened it under the sink. Yoonoh was half asleep when you walked back to him.
“My head hurts.” He mumbled as you sat in front of him, placing his left foot on your lap. “What are you doing?”
“I don't have any slippers that will fit you, and I don't want your dirty feet making my house dirty.” With utmost delicacy, you wiped away the dirt from his toes, noticing the small scratches caused by the gravel he walked on.
He touched your hair while you finished with his other foot, tangling the strands with fascination.
“Done, get up.”
He followed your indications as you guided him to your room, where you laid him down on his side in case he threw up.
“Are we visiting your father tomorrow?” He asked while snuggling under the covers.
“Sure.” You cleared his forehead from the strands falling in it, grazing the soft skin of his forehead. “Sweet dreams, gigantic baby.”

Nice Things…
Tumblr media
Hello All! Coming back with little writings here and there as my inspiration comes along. A little episode inside of the Something to do with Jackson sphere (1, 2)
Let me know what you think! @negrowhat you know I gotta tag you in everything lol
Jackson decides you both are in need of a little rest and relaxation. Nothing is better then a nice beach house complete with a gigantic bath tub.
About 4k words; Warnings: Very light smut like its super light, but I’m obligated to say it includes fingering a praise kink and a bathtub.
Laundry shouldn’t be difficult. Well in retrospect it wasn’t difficult at your old apartment. The laundry room there was stocked with 5 very old very worn washing and drying machines. They were faithful and predictable. They only had about 3 options and 2 dials. Simplicity at its best. You missed them every time you had a load to wash and dry. You had been living in Jackson’s apartment for months and you still couldn’t figure out his machines. For one thing they were sleek and black, very modern, apparently super efficient. They worked via a touch screen and the breath of options that appeared every time you fired them up made you nervous. Twice you had shrunk a favorite article of clothing. You had also ruined your running shoes, the washing machine seemed incredibly aggressive to you. But today was going to be different. This was your only task. You could do this. The touch screen lit up, you took a breath, the beeping started and an array of options appeared. Water temperatures, agitation speeds, your finger hovered over the first option- “BABY, THIS IS WHERE YOU WERE!?” Jackson’s voice boomed in the laundry room. You turned, frantic that all his noise would upset whatever fragile understanding you had. “Jackson!” You hissed, “shush!”
  His hands snapped to cover his mouth. He looked around his brows knitted, “what’s going on?” He whispered. “I’ just,” you turned back to the machine but you didn’t feel the same confidence, “I’m trying to figure out your stupid space aged washing machine.” You confessed, “everytime I put something in here I ruin it.” “Maybe you’re thinking about it too hard.” He walked up behind you and looked down at the same screen. “Baby?” He began slowly, he touched the screen flicking left twice until he got to a place that said ‘presets’.  “Why don’t you just use these instead of trying to pick through all those other settings? This is what I use.” “You’ve got to be kidding me.” You muttered softly. There were easy to understand presets displayed proudly.   “You didn’t know about these?” He asked, “I could have sworn I showed you the last time you shrunk your sweater?” You rubbed your face in continued disbelief. All this time. “The dryer has presets too, did I show you those?” He kept talking because of course to him this wasn’t a big deal. You had made it one, once again, something tiny had become huge to you.   “You want me to help you with your laundry? Since I’m home today I wanna spend it with you ok?” When you took your hands away from your face he was beaming like the sun at you. You wondered how he could look so worry free. His job was so stressful, he barely got time for himself or you yet he was always beaming. You wanted to be a bit more like him. Just enough so that inanimate objects stopped irritating you for no reason.            “If you want to help sure, but this stuff is kinda boring. You sure you don’t want to nap? Or I could make you something to eat?” You offered.          “We can do that after, this won’t take long.” He pointed out. He wasn’t wrong. You selected the ‘delicates’ option since you wanted to wash your undies and bras first.          “Ok, delicates first then.” You looked in his direction expectantly. The two baskets of laundry were already separated.            “Just pass me the stuff in the blue basket.”  You instructed, “I’ll do them first.”   He dutifully began to hand you clothes. Some things he stopped to look at. “When did you get this bra?” He asked holding up a flowery bra that you had bought a few weeks ago.   “Like two weeks ago?” You guessed, maybe three. Your hand was outstretched waiting for it. “Oh,” was all he said before he handed it over, “I haven’t see you wear it.” He said softer. “Well, it’s a bra Jackson…” You tried. He handed you a few pairs of underwear which you put in. He was a touch less cheerful as you finished loading. He helped with the detergent and softner before he got the machine started. “I feel so dumb,” when you turned to him he frowned. “I really wish I had remembered about the presets. I’ve been having a battle with this machine since I got here.” You confessed. “Baby...I really don’t think it’s a big deal.” He leaned down and pecked you. “You can ask me questions you know? Before you make a mountain out of a molehill.” “But I’m so good at that.”  You pointed out. He kissed you again. His hands trailing down your arms. When you pulled away he pouted. “Let me at least finish the chores, I have a few things more I wanna clean.” You complained. He accepted this and let you go, “I’m gonna have two weeks off...do you have a lot of work?” He asked. It took you a moment to think about what you had to do, some things could wait and really only one required you to finish immediately. “I just have to finish one job then I think I can take some time off.” You stretched and looked at him with curiosity. “What did you want to do?” He pushed some of your hair behind your ear, “can we go on vacation?” “Where did you want to go?” You spoke as you tied your hair up. “Someplace warm?” You asked. He nodded, “an island!” It seemed like a solid idea. You thought it over, Jackson in his usual fashion grew impatient. He tapped his feet and poked out his lip, “we can have a private beach house…” He edged closer. “That sounds...isn’t that a little extravagant?” You often wondered when you would be able to accept Jackson’s penchant for spending on you. There was something that always made you cringe. “I don’t want you to spend too much-” He frowned and you snapped your mouth closed, “you deserve…” He began. You sighed, “nice things.” He accepted you finishing his sentence quietly before he went back to trying to convince you. “It’ll be private...no cameras...just you and me.” He had basically backed you against the machine. He leaned forward and set his hands on it, caging you in. You couldn’t look away. “We live together but I always miss you,” he kissed you and it was mostly soft. “I’m gone a lot and I feel horrible about it,” he kissed you again nibbling on your bottom lip. “Do you miss me when I’m not here?” “Like crazy.” You whispered. His eyes were on yours, pupils wide. His breathing picked up as you snaked your arms around his neck. “So let me take you to the beach, let’s spend a week....please.” His kiss was less soft more insistent. He pushed until your back was pressed to the machine, the hum seemed to burn through your blood. You kissed him back, hands gripping the hair on the nap of his neck. The time apart always made the time together feel like a single point in the universe. There wasn’t a whole apartment, a whole city, there was just you and Jackson. Starved for each other, hungry to touch and feel. He was so good at making you melt, so good at making you desperate for him. You tasted him and whimpered. The beach was suddenly a fantastic idea, more time alone for more of this. He ground against you and his moan made your knees weak. “Ok,” you managed to say against his lips. He pulled away and beamed at you. The unmistakable look of getting his way. “So we’ll go the day after tomorrow...I actually may have set it up already.” “Jackson.”
You had never been swept away before. In past relationships you had lacked the time and your partners seemed to lack the motivation. It hadn’t bothered you truly because how can you miss something you didn’t have to begin with? You thought about it as you packed and he buzzed around the room with excitement. “Don’t forget bathing suites!” He warned, “and sunscreen!” “I have both.” You answered slowly, “and something nice for dinner...right?” When you looked up he was zipping his bag up. “Yes, and then...not much else…” He raised his eyebrows quickly suggestively and you giggled. He stopped to touch his hand to your leg, “I love you in anything.”   “If it was up to you, I’d just walk around naked all the time.” You said slowly. He considered this then said, “only if you want.” Then he was moving again, his energy nervous all throughout the room. “Are you almost done?” He asked. “The car will be here soon.” You just needed to decide on your one nice outfit. It had been a while since you had really gone out. He had seen you in just about everything you owned...except.... At the back of your closet you had hung a tropical print skirt and top set. It was out of your comfort zone but the print would really work. “Hurry hurry baby.” He chided. You had just enough time to grab it from the closet and stuff it into your bag. He took your hand and led you. The smile on his face relaxed yet you could feel the excitement bubbling out of him. He kissed you in the elevator before the doors opened, then led you to the long black car idling at the apartment building’s entrance. He opened the door for you and waited till you were settled before he put the bags in the trunk and got in next to you. Then his hand was back in yours like it belonged there. “Do you think you’ll get recognized at the airport?” You tried your best not to sound nervous but the thought of screaming fans made your stomach heavy. “I don’t think so, we’ll be in then out.” He brought your linked hands up for a kiss. “Don’t be nervous, it’ll be fine.” You settled into the seat and tried your best not to worry. The media in a way wasn’t very interested in you and Jackson’s story anymore. When they did happen to catch photos of you two together it wasn’t big news but most of the comments were still pretty awful. It was better for your mental health to not read them but every so often you saw yourself online and couldn’t stop yourself from looking. The general take was that you were literally a weight dragging him down. It never seemed like a good idea to comment back, better to just read it all in silence, and really it wasn’t all bad. There was a spattering of people who liked you. Who said nice things and said they were cheering on the relationship. People who pointed out that Jackson was happier with you in his life. You weren’t sure if you would give yourself that much credit but you hoped that he felt how you did. He leaned over, “what are you thinking about so hard?” He planted a kiss on your cheek startling you out of your own head. He had a way of knowing when you were thinking yourself down a rabbit hole. He redirected you gently and patiently. His hand squeezed yours again.   “Nothing, just the work I left...hopefully I did enough.” You said. He knew it wasn’t that, but he didn’t push.. He kissed you on the cheek again, “don’t worry about it, just try your best to relax.”  He whispered. It took you a moment of second guessing, but there was no real use in fighting with Jackson. Especially since you actually did need a relaxing vacation. There would be no worries on the beach, that’s all you had to tell yourself over and over and over again.
There weren’t any cameras, no reporters, no mobs of fans. He had his mask pulled up and dark sunglasses on. You were wearing one of his caps and your own mask pulled up. The two of you looked like any couple on their way to a romantic trip. He only let go of you to pass through security. Once his hand was out of yours there were new worries. An airplane. The last time you had flown you were forced between a grumpy office worker and a woman who seemed to have bathed in perfume. You remember distinctly how the office worker had complained about her perfume and how she called him lonely and sad. It had been for the most part very unpleasant. Suddenly all you could think about were all your worse flights.  You fumbled through security, including the awkward second search. Taking his hand on the other side calmed you down a little bit. “You’re making a mountain again.” He said into your ear. “I can’t remember ever having a good flight,” you squeezed his hand and almost missed a step. “Every flight that lands safely is a good flight baby.” He chimed happily and just like that you relaxed a bit. He was right of course. Bad seatmates didn’t make a bad flight. Small things didn’t have to be big. Once again you tried to calm yourself, to convince yourself that you were on vacation. You were being swept away and it would be great if all your extra thoughts could be swept away too.
“This is the house?” After a flight you slept through, and an ok trip through the airport that involved a car rental associate who was star struck, here the two of you were. The house was directly on the beach. From the outside it didn’t look like much which made you feel a bit better. If he had rented a beach mansion or something along those lines you would have worried the whole trip about how much all of it had cost and...and if you were really worth all the trouble. But this,...this was so quaint and so cozy. “This is it.” He pulled into the driveway and then put the car into park. You got out admiring the house’s slightly cracked white paint, the green ivy underneath the two small windows on either side of the weathered wooden door. The waves sounded incredibly close and you guessed the beach was literally right in your backyard. Jackson was behind you with your bags. “Here,” when you turned he was holding the key towards you all smiles, “open her up.” He instructed. The key got stuck for a moment in the lock. You panicked per usual but it gave when you pushed your shoulder against the heavy wood. “Be careful,” he clucked his tongue at you but you ignored him. You were stuck looking at the inside. Everything was so bright. You sucked in a breath because of all the light. There were huge skylights all throughout. The entryway was neat, a small blue weathered table held a bowl where Jackson dropped the car keys. He pressed his hand to the small of your back and your feet automatically started to shuffle step forward. The entryway opened into a small kitchen with white tile and teal cabinets. The appliances didn’t look new aged or terrifying like Jackson’s. The big white well loved looking stove was comforting. Through the kitchen There was an open airy dinning room and living room. The living room ended in two gigantic glass doors that opened onto a hedge enclosed patio. The bricks were weathered but still a good red. There was a round picnic table with a few shelves, a rack with two surfboards, and what looked like a hot tub. He wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed your cheek, “let’s look at the bedroom.” It was through a doorway off the kitchen, past a half bathroom. The bedroom suite seemed to be all windows. There were three huge windows with breezy white curtains. The bed was gigantic four poster deal, piled high with pillows at the head. The comforter was white like everything else. “There’s one of those clawfoot tubs,” He led you a little further in, towards the doorway of the bathroom. The tub was huge. There was a shower head on the wall above it. Another two windows, more light. “This place is beautiful.” You finally got out. He squeezed your hand, “I know you like simple things and I thought this place would be nice. The beach is right down a back path and-” You tipped your chin up lips pursed asking for him to dip and kiss you. “Thank you so much for bringing me,” you spoke against his lips. He wrapped his arms around your waist. “You’re welcome.” His smile was triumphant. He only let you go to help unpack but beamed the entire time like a happy child. You knew this look, his eyes were centered on yours. He licked his lips before he kissed you. “I picked this house because it’s cozy and…” He trailed off to kiss you again. “And?” “And you never wanna have fun in my bathtub so I made sure that this house had one that was so big you couldn’t argue with me about soaking together.”  He explained. “Jackson.” He beamed again his face back to innocence, “don’t you want to soak with me?” He asked. “You don’t just want to soak,” you pointed out. He shrugged, “humor me.”  In truth he had begged to soak with you plenty of times but the tub in his apartment made you nervous. You had this vision of the two of you settling in and getting stuck or getting in and overflowing the tub in an embarrassing splash. Well maybe it wouldn’t be embarrassing to him but in your mind it was motifying.  You bit your bottom lip and considered the big claw foot tub in the house again. “I guess there’s no harm in a nice soak.” You said softly.  He could barely contain his excitement, he moved deliberately trailing his hands down your waist then squeezing. He searched your face before he broke out into a grin that made you laugh.   “Jackson,” it was hard not to laugh at him. “Jackson right now? You don’t want to eat first?” He cocked his head, “I do, but let’s do that later, my back hurts from the flight.” You made a ‘sure’ face but didn’t argue. It was better to humor him, he gave your bottom another not so gentle squeeze before kissing the top of your head. “So a nice bath, then I’ll make you food,...” he trailed off and took your hand.
The fragrance from the bubble bath he found was making your head feel dreamy and relaxed. His back was against one side of the tub and yours was on the other. He insisted on massaging your feet and there really wasn’t any huge point to arguing. He rubbed away while you sighed slowly to yourself. “You have the cutest little feet.” He murmured. “They’re so gross.” Your response was automatic, years of having being told they were flawed in some way meant that you were use to parroting back the words when you were complimented. “They’re perfect on you.” He dug deep into the sole of your foot and you couldn’t help but groan. “Always say nice things about yourself.” He murmured. “Yeah I know.” You sunk lower into the water and he took the invitation to work his hands up your leg. It was hard for you to say nice things about yourself all the time. You were use to your self deprecating jokes. But he was quick to redirect them, he always told you to make it nice instead. His hands were steady on your body focusing your mind back into the moment.  It was never gonna be just a soak, but you didn’t do anything to stop him. He felt the back of your knee and a shiver ran up your body. His eyes were focused on your skin, “you’ll let me do this at home now right?” He pulled himself a little closer so his hands could go further up, “a nice hot bath, foot massages.” “You’re very good at them,” your voice was barely above a whisper. His eyes seemed to darken. He leaned farther forward, upsetting the water and bubbles so he could kiss your forehead. Under the water his hand had made it all the way up which meant his fingers were in a prime position to rub you where you were most sensitive. He kept the pressure light, teasing you. A whine broke past your lips. He ducked his head and kissed you. “I want you to relax,” he said softly against your lips, he dipped his fingers inside of you. It was so hard not to squirm, he pulled them back and forth slowly before he stopped. You gripped the sides of the the tub and tried to urge him to move. His eyes were mischievous. “Jackson,” You tried to roll your hips to get him to do anything but tease you. He cocked his head, “say something nice about yourself.” The command confused you. Your brow furrowed and for a moment you were confused, “what?” He pulled his hand completely away and touched your face instead. “I read that it’s nice to hear compliments from others but reinforcing it with words you say to yourself is even better.” His voice was earnest his hand dipped into the water again and found your breast. “Something nice…” He played with your nipple and you whimpered. Your mind was reaching for something, any sort of compliment that would make sense. “I like my thighs.”   He beamed, triumphant, then pinched your nipple lightly, “what else baby? You’re so beautiful there’s a million things to compliment.” You were so use to his praise that it was hard to give yourself the same attention. He switched to your other nipple and kissed your forehead again. “One more.” He encouraged. You swallowed, his hands sending pleasure and want all throughout your body. You willed your brain and your mouth to talk, to say something so he would give you what you needed. “I have nice skin...the cream you gave me makes it so soft.” You admitted. He liked that, he kissed you harder. He had both hands involved now, tickling the sides of your tummy. The giggle that escaped your mouth made his smile even wider. “The most perfect skin.” He spent the rest of the bath praising you. Cooing all his favorite compliments while he played with your body. It didn’t take long before your hands gripped the side of the tub and you called his name. Your body locked and then the pleasure ripped through your limbs in what felt like a blaze. Dimly you knew you had splashed water and maybe that would have embarrassed you, but there were more important things. Like the way you still shook while he kissed you everywhere he could reach. If you felt dreamy before your mind was downright foggy now. “You liked that baby?” He asked, finally pulling away to look at you. Your bones felt like jelly, thank god the tub wasn’t too deep. There was no doubt in your mind you would have melted further into the water. It took you what felt like hours to barely nod your head and indicate that yes you had indeed liked it. “It’s so cute when you say my name like that.” he went back to sitting across the tub from you, a smug smile on his face. You didn’t know what face you were making but hopefully it was satisfied. “Let’s just spend the rest of the time here.” You finally got out. He didn’t argue with you, just rested his head on the rim of the tub, “as long as you’re happy that’s all I care about.” You sat up a little, “I’m the happiest I’ve been in forever.” “Perfect.” He spoke softly and maybe it was more to himself than you but he was right. The feeling was perfect.

It’s Unfair [p2]
Young Bruno Madrigal
-> female pronouns//reader insert//fluff//third person pov//time skips//Romance
*Part two*
~~~~~~~
She finished her chores that took up a lot of the day. By dinner, Bruno hadn’t been found and she was a total wreck. Others started to notice it too, Pepa and Julieta, who the latter had been extremely kind to her, even brought up her bundled nerves.
She made a B-line to the pond, the whole time while in the forest, desperately calling out his name in hopes of a response. This can’t be it for her. By a miracle she spotted him curled up near the pond, staring deep into it. “Bruno!” She happily exclaimed.
He jumped and shriveled up, turning his back. “What? You here to push me in again?”
She came up to him, hand extended even if his back was to her. She couldn’t believe he was still around. She guessed he really wasn’t lying when he said that magic didn’t work that way. “No, no, no. I’m here to take you back. Your mother is worried sick and there are people searching for you.”
“And w-why should I trust you? Do you have any more traps along the way?”
She sourly glared and put a hand on her hip, pointing toward him. “Why would I-!” She started, then registered her tone. A uneasy feeling sits in her stomach as she looked upon his form. Shivering and scared. The girl cooled off and bent down, the sound of thunder crackling in the sky as droplets of rain begin to poor down with hardly any build up or steady progression. “I’m sorry.”
“What?”
“I’m sorry for what happened.” She placed a hand on his shoulder that he immediately shrugged off. She began to shiver, her clothes sticking uncomfortably to her form. She moved on. “Can you just follow me back?” He didn’t respond but the raining picked up. “Your family is worried. I mean... if it wasn’t obvious.” She waved her hand around. He at the least perked at the mentioning of his family. “Everyone is worried and looking for you. I promise, no pranks or jokes.”
He didn’t move at first. She grew worried, not knowing what else she could say. Though, to her relief, he eventfully faced her then fully stood up. “Fine. Let’s go.”
“Thank Jesus.” She muttered under her breath, then took the lead. Half way there, ripping through the deafening silence and wanting to get her mind focused on anything but the claws of guilt wrapped around her heart, she spoke.
“What were you doing out here?”
He didn’t respond.
“Uh… my name is [Y/n]… if you didn’t know.”
“Okay.” He shortly said.
“…nice weather, isn’t it?”
He didn’t respond, but she heard him lightly huff. Not much of a laugh, but she’ll take it. After their appearance was announced, the showers ceased almost immediately and it was like it never stormed. People expressed their relief and she was given praise and thanks for finding him from the moment she got back; only two souls knew that they were undeserved. he and Bruno knew she didn’t deserve. And yet, he didn’t correct them, shift blame or accuse.
She hadn’t known what to feel about it. Did he want something in exchange? No doubt he did it just to help. She had hardly been nice to him. Though, she planned to do her best to make up for that. She wasn’t relieved from her job as señora’s helper and she was glad. For the past couple of months, she always made room for any assistance Bruno needed after her chores had been done for the day. She added to her every other day routine treaking going to his room, knocking on his door, and asking if he wanted anything. She also made sure to ask whenever she saw him, which was maybe once or twice. He still hasn’t responded nor taken to her assistance, but she hasn’t given up.
Today, she knocked again and asked once more. “Do you need anything? At all.”
Her eyes widened as she stepped back, sweeping in a sharp inhale. The door actually opened and what waited for her was a confused and mildly bewildered Bruno. “I-I, what are you even... I, uhm, n-no.”
She slumped as he moved around her. “Ah. Well at least you responded today.”
He stopped and looked back. “Hmm? W-What do you mean? I’ve always said no.”
She lifted an eyebrow. “Yeah, in person, but what about all those times I knocked and you didn’t say anything?”
“All those times? This is the first.”
“No, I’ve been knocking ever since the day after you got back.”
“Seriously? Gesh, I don’t hear a thing outside my door unless I’m right at it. If someone wants me, they have to come in.” He gripped his arm and looked back at her. “Have you really been doing that this whole time? You didn’t quit at some point?”
“I have no reason to lie to you.” Her eyes narrowed. “But how big can your room be if you couldn’t hear me? You can just say you’re angry.”
“So you think I’m lying now?” He tittered. “Have you seen any of our rooms?”
She shook her head. While Julieta had been nice, and even nicer after ‘finding’ Bruno, she was never given the invitation, and she frankly didn’t want it. And Pepa? The air still got colder every time they were in a room together. Literally. “I don’t think they’d want me in there.”
He shrugged. “For good reason.”
She slumped but agreed. That’s fair. “Where are you going?”
“No where special, I guess. Just a walk.”
“And you’re sure you don’t want me to there to hold your hand so you don’t get lost again,” she teased, ignoring the part of her brain that happily went to imagining their hands together as they strolled in the moonlight. She gulped. He only gave her a blank stare and she slapped her face, “sorry, sorry… let me rephrase. Do you want company?”
“No.” He flatly said. “I-I’m okay.” He followed in a softer tone then left her there.
She was left wallowing in her pity. She groaned and her face fell into her hands. “I’m such a cabrón.”
Some days later she luckily ran into Bruno again as she was cleaning, catching him as he was leaving the home. She called out and stopped him. “Bruno, I’m sorry. For other day. I want to make it up to you. For everything.”
“…I don’t entirely trust you.”
“Then why not just tell others the tr-hmh!”
“Keep down. Sorry.” He lowered the hand he quickly covered her mouth with and stepped back. “I just... I can’t. I wanted to, trust me. I just can’t bring myself to. I keep thinking about how they would treat you and I won’t be the driving reason that they do.”
“Ah... then-”
“If you’re only helping as thanks, please don’t bother. I’m not doing it for you. It’s my own flaw.”
“I don’t think caring about others is a flaw. We’d be in a better situation if I were any good at that.” She admitted with a gentle bite of her lip. Bruno’s shyer and reserved expression lessened. “But for now, just let me help you. Hopefully if I’m around you long enough you’ll rub off on me.”
A small rosy tint rose to his soft face, unable to hold a moment of eye contact. “I... Don’t you need to finish? What will my mother say?”
“I’ll take whatever she says and clean twice as hard when I come back.”
“Listen, just finish your work.” He turned his back and she reached out to grip his green rauna.
“Please. If you need me, just ask.”
He gave her a pitying look as her eyes begged at him to at least agree. He looked to consider something for a bit before giving in and gently smiling. “Okay. Fine. You really don’t quit. If you want to do me a favor, find me a new book. A romantic drama novella, if you can.”
She lit up and clasped her hands together. Her mother had plenty of those. “I can do that!”
“Thanks.”
Just two days later she was at his door after a busy day. She raked her knuckles against the door, halting midway in remembrance of Bruno’s words. So, instead, she left it in front, and went home.
The following day, Bruno was the one to greet her in the morning as she let herself in ready to get to work, a smile on his face, and a book in his hand. “Have you read this?”
She stumbled on her words that got caught. His smile was so cute. “I, uh… yes?” Why did she lie? “D-Do you like it?”
“Ah, it’s fantastic! I’m so glad, I needed someone to talk to about it! I finished it and at first I wasn’t into the pairings until suddenly she started acting weird towards him and who wouldn’t have guessed it was her evil twin that replaced her! Then their mother had faked her death and…” he went on and on and she sat there and listened. He sounded so passionate and more fuller than life than she has ever seen him as he ranted. She hung onto his every word, shifting her focus between his talking and his rapidly changing face. Happy, excited, anger, surprised, happy, anger—
“Hello? Hello? Can you hear me?”
She snapped back. “Sorry, huh?”
“I uh…” he began to dim, much to her dismay. “I’m talking too much, aren’t I? So-.”
“No, no, keep talking. I do enough of running my mouth as is.”
He still didn’t look convinced. “You looked distracted. Ah, you need to get to your routine. I’m bothering you, I’m sure you already know it all-“
“Please, no. You aren’t. And I… okay I’m sorry, I really haven’t read it, and I know I know, I just I didn’t want you to be disappointed. You just looked so happy. Bruno, I can listen to you all day.” Oh, had that left her mouth?
At first his embarrassment seemed to worsen, but then he looked surprised and flattered. “I can talk about it more… after you’re done.”
“Good. I’ll finish quickly.”
Later on they rejoined and he talked and talked like before; about the newest book, and after done with that, the others he apparntly had stuffed in the shelves stationed in his room. Her heart was wonky. It was so adorable seeing him happy. She preferred this than his shivering from before. She brought him more and more books and they would sit in the living room, outside, or wherever else to chat. He became more comfortable with her and one day had invited her to his room. Huge was an understatement. This room shouldn’t even exist—nothing on the outside looked like it could be holding such a tower.
The stairs, oh the stairs. She panted as she reached the top. Bruno laughed at her, but went her speed. She was too tired and felt that some of her deserved his mocking to retort.
“Bruno, you should have seen my mothers face when she realized it was me that used up all her clay.” The girl laughed as they sat at the very top, laying in his hammock. She laid on one side and him across, their feet’s next to their heads. It was late, she didn’t know how late, but she didn’t care. “Worst part about it is that when I tried showing off my creation, I stupidly tried to carry it over to her and then I dropped it! Oh, she reminded me of a bull!”
“I’d be angry too. Did she have commissions?”
“Of course, as always. I am not as good as her yet, but I want to get better and soon start some of my own.”
“When you do, I want to be the first one.” He shuffled a bit in the hammock they shared. “I already know what I want.”
“I’ll do it for free.”
“How sweet of you.”
“Of course. I would do it for anybody else that had a room like yours.”
They shared a laugh as his foot nudged her head. “Eww, get your stinky feet away from me.”
“I know you love it... you helped the others too, though, didn’t you? With their own homes and shops?”
“Mmhm. I do it on my off days. I couldn’t just watch them work all day without at least offering to help and it soon became part of me.”
“I wish I was like you in that way.” He became slightly dreary. “I help but not in a way I would like.”
Her feet tapped the side of his head. “You do your best.”
“Thank you. Can you keep a secret?”
Her brow quirked. “Are you trying to be funny?”
“Not at all.” He shifted so that he was next to her. Her body warmed up. He lifted her so that he was beneath her shoulder. “I’m going to tell you a story.”
“Another book? I feel like I heard them all?”
The vibrating from his sweet laugh made her heart spike. “No, this is of my own. Do you want to listen?”
“Always.”
After it, she gently clapped. “Wonderful. You’re such a great story teller. Does that help you with telling visions?”
“I wish. People still tend to get upset… I’m not as good as delivering stories to strangers. I get nervous. I’m surprised you haven’t asked me for one.”
“I still feel funny about magic.”
“Still?”
“I don’t know… yeah. I still think it’s unfair.”
“Hmm. You know, what is really unfair is how you still haven’t told the truth.”
“Bruno…”
“They deserve to know.”
“I can’t. It’s been a long time, hasn’t it?”
“It’s never too long to tell the truth. Sometimes I wonder if you’re here because you like me or because you’re guilty.”
That struck her. Shit. Why had it?
She left feeling conflicted and was like that for the next three years. Bruno and her relationship stayed stagnant but her feelings grew stronger. It became less and yet more clear why she was around; as her feelings grew more and more, so did the guilt.
And one day, she couldn’t take it. She told Alma. The disappointment rippled, especially once she told her to leave. From there, others heard—whether Pepa or Julieta , hell, Bruno, were the ones to say something she didn’t know. But she was prepared for the years waiting consequences.
Her parents? The shame they radiated was painful. Each time they spoke, or looked at her, it was like a spear ripped through her chest. She hadn’t went to see Bruno since that day. She had hardly left her home. She stayed in her room to clear her head for some time. Though hard, she was able to sort through her inner self and reflect.
She, in the night, went to go clear her head at the pond, where it all started. Maybe for some kind of closure—
“Boo.”
She jumped and gasped at the startling sound.
“Did that really scare you?” They teased.
She turned around and saw Bruno. He was so much more grown since they were 15. His hair was longer, at his shoulders, and a small moustache was beginning to form. Still lanky, not much taller, and his face still while soft, was more defined and mature.
“You don’t have to be here.” She said.
“I want to be. I miss you.” He sat down next to her. “Why have you been avoiding me?”
“I haven’t… really…”
“More lies?”
“Fine, fine… I was… too ashamed to see you. I can’t show my face to my parents, even less to the others. I miss helping them with their homes, I miss helping your mother around the house. I miss seeing you… but I can’t.”
He gave her a soft, sympathetic look her. “Thank you. You didn’t have to.”
“I needed to. Though it’s hard to show myself… it is of my own doing after lying for years. I feel better. It made things clear. It was worth it… and also, Bruno, I never did properly apologize.”
“But you-“
“Just let me say this. I’m sorry for pushing you, for teasing you, for leaving you here alone. I can only now imagine what it would have been like and for that I hope you can forgive me.”
He stood up. She looked over at his offered hand and took it. He lifted her up and let go. “What you did as cruel. I couldn’t swim, thankfully it wasn’t deep. I felt embarrassed, I felt alone.” He started, letting out some resentment. But then he sighed. “But I have been given the time to forgive you, they have not. I can give you a vision to see when-“
She shook her head. “No. I’ll live through the present. I know it’ll take time if they do decide to forgive. I’ll just have to work hard to prove I’ve changed. I was just jealous that it seemed easy for you all and in reality, it isn’t all that different. You went and go through pain like us and use your gifts to try your best to help. Thank you.”
“You don’t-“
She lifted a finger. “There is more. Bruno, you are a wonderful person. I cherish our friendship and now I know for sure that while at first I reached out because of guilt… I stayed because of you.”
She lifted her palm to place on his shoulder, only to hesitate and retract it. Bruno, faster than she had ever seen him move, reached out and grabbed before it lowered, leaving their palms connected in the air. It was a tight squeeze before the grip softened. He looked to the side and chuckled, obviously as unsure as her on what to do next. She had an idea, a really tempting one, but waited for him. He deserved to lead wherever he wanted to take them.
He eventually brought their hands down a bit as his eyes lingered on her face, then slowly, he guided her towards him as he brought his other hand around her back for a gentle, but secure, and comforting hug. The girl sighed with content as she leaned into it and wrapped her hands around his back, resting her head on his shoulder. He was warm, incredibly warm.
“Thank you. I just… I feel like I am not worth being hated.” He mumbled.
“It isn’t just that, you know. I had to, no matter who it was.” She turned her head so it wasn’t facing his ear. “But you’re worth more than anything to me. I don’t deserve your kind looks and encouraging words. Your blessed forgiveness. To be so close as I am right. You are such a better human being than me.” She, after so much time of bottling in her affection, couldn’t muster up the will to hold back any more of her feelings.
“Oh, don’t say that, please. You are different now. Your laugh is pure, your true smile holds enough light that angels are jealous of it. Your growth over time is beautiful and I’m glad to have been apart of the journey. You are a magical flame I don’t ever want to go out.”
She shuddered. His words made her flutter, she felt like if she wasn’t being help onto, she would fly away. She could return the gesture, but instead she pulled away and smirked. “Well now I feel bad, I was kidding before with the unworthiness. That’s what you sound like, y’know. Feel free to keep giving me compliments though.”
A blush rose upon his face as he playfully scowled and nudged her back with his shoulder. “You’re so mean. Such a tease.” She giggled. “I’ll work on it.”
He shook his head before going still with his gaze steady on her. She didn’t dare tear her eyes away as he got closer to her, in whatever burst of confidence he mustered up. His breath tickled her lips as they hovered just over hers. His beautiful hazel eyes flicker between them and her waiting look. He then spoke, softly, “are you okay with this?”
“Y-yes. You?”
“Of course.” He candidly said, taking her by surprise. This was certainly different than what she was used to, but it wasn’t bad. Not at all. Albeit, she began to grow impatient as he still didn’t move. Maybe he wanted her to?
“Are you going to move?”
“O-oh.” She began to lean in, so close to getting what she wanted. He pulled back last second, ripping her of the contact. Her eyebrow quirked. He held a confused look mixed with a dorky smile. “What’re you doing? I meant are you okay with moving out of the way. I wanted that flower over there.”
She stepped back with a heated face as she crossed her arms, watching as he went behind her to pluck the beautiful plant a few steps away. “That is not what you meant and you know it! And you call me mean!”
Swiftly, a small peck was placed on her face before her hand was grabbed, and a flower was placed in her hair. “Sorry, cariño. I needed payback of my own.”
She crossed her arms, but couldn’t contain her gleeful smile. “Fair enough.”
Tumblr media
Glancing around your dining room table you felt defeated by the amount of packages staring back at you. You were surprised by the latest delivery of clothing you had received for PR from a few high end designers. You knew you shouldn't have been shocked, dating a CEO of a multi million dollar cooperation came with many perks. Yet you never imagined anything like this. Knowing the mess would only stay on the table if you didn’t start tackling it. You began opening up a few packages, finding bags and shoes. Even the latest spring wear from the major brand ‘Liyue Qixing’ sat in a box for you. Before setting your eyes on a more intricate looking box. Opening it to discover some of the most beautiful lingerie you had seen in a long time. Looking at the brand name ‘Scent of Spring’. You didn’t recognize it, but you were quite enamored with the pieces inside.
Forgoing opening any more packages you quickly gathered the items in the box and wandered off to the bedroom you shared with your boyfriend. Selecting a ivory and gold silk longline balconette bra, with matching thong, and harness. The gold tulle flowers that patterned the silk and lace were soft and delicate under your fingers. You couldn’t go a second longer without wearing the beautiful set. Quickly stripping off the clothes you were wearing and slipping on the lingerie. Loving the feel of the soft lace and silk against your skin. Staring at yourself in the mirror.
‘This lingerie had to be designed by some deity who knew Zhongli’s taste.’ You thought to yourself as you admired the way the balconette bra exposed half of your breast and how the thong straps cut into the flesh of your hip in a sexy way, giving your body a more defined silhouette.
A light bulb went off in your head, walking over to grab your phone and opening the camera app, returning back to the mirror. Posing yourself quite provocative as you snapped several photos, dropping to your knees and taking a few more photos, before flipping through them. A coy smile playing on your lips as you went to call Zhongli.
Tumblr media
Zhongli was startled by the sound of his phone ringing on his desk, glancing down to see your contact photo, a smile immediately forming on his face, he swiped to answer.
“Hello (name), is everything alright my dear?” Zhongli greeted as he turned from the documents in front of him and leaned back in his chair. You seldom ever called him when you knew he was going to be in the office all day, preferring to email him if you needed anything so he assumed this must have been important.
“Everything is fine, just calling to see what you were up to.” You greeted over the phone. Zhongli let out a small sigh, relieved that nothing was wrong.
“I’m just preparing for a meeting with Fatui Industries in a little bit.” Zhongli started, glancing at the clock to check the time. “What are you doing today my dear.” He asked, knowing you didn’t have much on your schedule today.
“Well I was going through some packages I received, you know the PR kind. It was mostly clothes from some nice designers.” You hummed, he could hear you twirling your hair in your fingers as you spoke.
“Oh really? Hopefully they sent things that are your style.”
“That’s why I was calling actually. There was this one package, the clothes are really nice. But I think they’re more to your taste, and I wanted to get your opinion on them.” You confessed.
“Of course, I can do that when I get home for you if you would like.” Zhongli replied, glancing at the clock noting that he had about 27 minutes until his meeting. “I should be done with work after I meet with Signora and Childe.”
“I’m actually sending you a couple photos right now, please check your email and tell me what you think.” He couldn’t put his finger on it, but you seemed awfully excited about all of this but he complied with your request.
“Of course, one moment.” Opening his email, quickly finding the one from you at the top and opening it, his eyes widening in realization as he enlarged one of several photos in the email. His voice catching in his throat as he examined it.
“Are the clothes to your liking, sir.” You cooed from the other end of the phone, knowing very well they were in fact to his liking.
“Ms. (Name)..” Zhongli growled quietly.
“Yes sir?” You asked innocently, Zhongli aware of the game you were playing, but nevertheless here he was clicking on the next photo, feeling his pants grow tighter as he continued to view the photos. The one of you on your knees sending more blood rushing to his already aching erection.
“Are you being a good girl right now?”
“I’m always a good girl Sir.”
“Are you? You don’t look to be acting like a good girl in these photos.”
“Then should I send you some more photos so you make sure I’m being good?” He could feel himself getting riled up just by the implications of what was being said.
“Well… I’ve already sent them so hopefully you don’t mind.”
Not needing to be told twice Zhongli refreshed his email inbox to find a new message. Opening it to discover new attachments. Slowly he clicked the first picture. Finding you not in front of the mirror in the bedroom anymore, but now on the black sateen sheets of the bed the two of you shared. Angling the camera in a way to show how you would look if he had you pinned down. You looked ravishing, from the way you let your cleavage spill out exposing your nipples, to the way you spread your legs.
The next photo your hand was on one of your breast cupping and pinching the nipple. The next photo was taken lower, your hand was now in your panties clearly teasing yourself. And the final attachment was a video, it was no more than 15 seconds, but in those 15 seconds you show yourself pumping your fingers in and out of your pussy, before dragging your fingers out of yourself and licking the wet slick off your digits. Zhongli was taking deep breaths as he watched. His eyes following your every movement.
“Sir…” You moaned, lust lacing every syllable. “Do you think I look like a good girl in those photos?”
Zhongli couldn’t say anything for a moment. Letting the video replay itself over and over, his eyes finding new things to focus on each time it replayed. From the way your plump lips wrapped around your fingers or the way you quivered when you plunged your two digits into yourself. He just wanted to see you do more.
“When did being a good girl equate to acting like quite the little slut? Surely I’ve taught you better than that.” Zhongli replied firmly, as he adjusted the way he was sitting to accommodate his throbbing cock.
“This is what you’ve taught me…” the breathiness of your voice letting him know you were in fact still touching yourself as you replied.
“I don’t recall teaching you to send provocative photos to me while I’m at work.” He glanced at the clock again, 16 minutes until the meeting. Fuck.
“Did they make you hard?” You asked suddenly.
He was not a liar, so he wouldn’t lie to you. “Yes they did…”
“Did they make you want to come home and stuff your big. thick. cock inside of me.” The punctionaction of your words were breaking him down.
“Yes they did…”
“Master are you going to come home so I can show you how much of a good girl I am, when I’m milking your cock.”
“My Lily… I-” Zhongli wasn’t used to you being this forward with him.
“I need you to come home and fuck me now. Because if you don’t pump me full of your cum I might go crazy.” You whined your voice working wonders on his resolve. “Please… Please come home and breed me sir.”
One final weak glance at his clock showed he had 9 minutes before they would arrive.
You moaned again calling his name out through the phone, the thread holding his composure together snapping.
“You’re not allowed to cum until I get home do you understand.” Zhongli growled into the phone, quickly on his feet, grabbing his bag and making his way to the door of his office. “Do you understand?”
“Yes sir..!” You exclaimed.
“I hope you understand you won’t be walking for the next few days my Little Lily.” He warned before leaving the safety of his private office.
“Yes yes! Hurry please.”
“I am.” Quickly saying goodbye and hanging the phone up  with you, while walking towards two approaching figures.
“Mr. Zhongli goo-” Signora began, reaching her hand out to greet him, but he didn’t meet it.
“My apologies, there seems to be an emergency at home, can you meet with my assistant to reschedule.” Zhongli haphazardly explained. “Again my deepest apologies.” He finished, turning on his heel and b lining it to the exit. Letting the receptionist know that he was leaving and scrambling for the parking garage.
Tumblr media
“What do you think his emergency was?” Signora stood bewildered where Zhongli had left her and Childe.
“Do you think everything is alright?
Childe seemed to be having the best laugh of his life as his colleague pondered the obvious.
“Trust me everything’s fine.” Childe said in between laughs. “We should probably reschedule for Monday, he’ll probably need the whole weekend off.”
“This is why I hate partnering with you, you’re too vague sometimes.”
sweet talk
[tamaki suoh x reader]
author’s note: been rewatching ouran and found the time to write smth small. basically a really late valentine’s fic lol. i’m drafting an idea for takashi as well atm. maybe kyoya after? ;)
word count: 1,844
At this time of year, the weather is chilly, the air cold even without the presence of wind and warranting the need for a scarf to avoid a red-tipped nose and numb cheeks. Most days are gloomy, the overcast sky glaringly bright and difficult to look at. But today, it would seem the divine hand in charge of the course of the seasons has granted a reprieve, the clouds parting so the sun might wash over the grass that you and Tamaki sit upon currently, in the garden of the Suoh estate.
The gardeners had finished their tasks this morning, as instructed by Tamaki the night before. It gave you two the opportunity to be out there alone in the afternoon. The hedges are trimmed and tidy, and the smell of freshly cut grass is strong. You inhale deeply, chest puffed, and sigh in satisfaction as the scent reaches your nose. It had been so long since you sat out in a garden, owed to the fact it had been too cold for that lately.
Tamaki chuckles at your enthusiasm and rifles through the picnic basket he’d brought with him. He pushes aside the array of deserts—cake slices, chocolate bars, fruit tarts, and more—their colorful wrappings crinkling loud enough to grab your attention.
“Where is it…” he mutters.
You tilt your head. "Where is what?”
The tip of Tamaki’s tongue sticks out the corner of his mouth, evidence of his concentration, and when he finally finds what he’s searching for, he holds it up like a first place prize, complemented by an exclamation: “Aha!”
It’s a small plastic pouch, clear with red stripes and tied near the top with a matching, shiny red poly ribbon to keep it closed. There’s what you assume to be candy inside, in various colors, but you don’t recognize it. You’re still just as clueless, but you don’t need to voice your question because Tamaki can see the confusion written across your face.
“It’s commoner candy!” he explains. “Well, commoner Valentine’s candy, more specifically.”
You continue to watch, intrigued by what he’s brought, as he pulls at the ribbon to loosen it and opens the pouch, reaching inside for one of the pieces of candy. He holds up the heart-shaped treat, gripped carefully between index finger and thumb, and angles it so you can see what’s written on it: Sweetheart.
Upon realizing there’s wording on it, and that the same must go for every heart in the bag, your eyes light up. “Cute!”
“It is, isn’t it?” Tamaki agrees, voice quiet as he observes the candy. The nickname is printed red though the lettering isn’t too sharp, which gives away that it was done by a machine. “Haruhi got one for all the host club members, and I wanted to share mine with you.”
When he turns to you, amethyst eyes warm like a summer night, you smile. And when he offers the bag of heart candies to you, you eagerly reach in for one. “How thoughtful!” You turn over the piece you picked out: Only You.
“Well, shall we try them together?” Tamaki inquires, and you nod. The two of you pop the candy into your mouths in unison, then sit silently for a moment in contemplation.
It’s… unique, is the best description you can come up with. The powdery, pressed substance is basically a sugar bomb that melts once it comes in contact with your tongue. But it isn’t the quality of sugar you’re accustomed to—it’s far and away from the refined sweetness of the handmade confections stashed away in the picnic basket Tamaki brought along. Still, this mass-produced goody is delightful in its own way, in taste and novelty, for you have never seen such small candies with words on them, and you say as much to your boyfriend, the last traces of the heart candy lingering on your lips which you lick away.
“They’re charming,” you remark, reaching for another piece. “For when you can’t find the words or get them out yourself.” You read what’s written on the yellow heart you grabbed, then turn it to show Tamaki: Be Mine.
Tamaki’s attention briefly diverts down to read it as well, and the corner of his lips lifts in a lopsided grin as he meets your eyes again. “Sure, they can be useful for some people, but I can get by just fine without candy telling me what to say. How could I call myself the king of the host club if I weren’t able to string together pretty words?” Always conducting himself with some semblance of dramatic flare, he puts a hand to his chest, and the sunlight reflects off his eyes in a way that makes it seem like there’s a tear or two forming in the corners.
As usual, his acting is impeccable, and you can’t contain your smile; he’s such a natural. You have no objections to his claim as king of the school’s host club, and if you’re being honest, you wish you had even half the charisma he does, that some of the skill he possesses at waxing lyrical would rub off onto you via proximity alone.
“They would’ve come in handy for me that day I confessed to you,” you admit shyly, and it’s Tamaki’s turn to tilt his head, confused but waiting for you to expound. “These candies say all the things I wanted to say to you then.”
The day you came to terms with your feelings about Tamaki and the day you actually revealed them to him were different, and the time in between had been spent in a state of conflict over whether it was worth mustering up the courage to approach him about it. There was little doubt in your mind that the president of the host club received declarations of love left and right, a routine part of his week, a clockwork consistency like that of waking in the morning and laying down to sleep in the evening. You’re a drop of water in the ocean; what could possibly make you stand out?
For all that, you figured you should confess anyway. Rejection was still an answer and it was better than nothing. At least after the gentle let down (because truly, Tamaki is, without fail, graceful in matters of love, both the reciprocal and the unrequited) your turmoil over what he may say would finally be put at ease.
Though you rehearsed over and over what you would say and how you would say it, the practice ends up being useless, and you weren’t sure why you even bothered. Once you met his kind gaze—expectant and patient, giving you the opportunity to gather the words in the stretching silence that would be oddly too long in any other context—the resolve you had slowly been building on your walk to the meeting point by the fountain crumbled. You tripped over your words at the sight of his tender smile. Tamaki just had that effect on people, and you wished he’d look at you that way always. To be on the receiving end of his affection was to bask in the warmth of a sun that never sets.
It’s a feeling you’re distinctly reminded of now, sitting in the garden on an uncharacteristically sunny day for winter and the center of Tamaki’s attention, and you think you might be set alight from the sheer intensity (due mostly to Tamaki; the sun is poor competition in contrast). He wears that beautifully soft expression, mind clearly having thought back to your confession as yours just had. But it seems his recollection differs slightly, for he presents a counterpoint.
“I thought you handled it perfectly.” He sets the bag of heart candies on the grass and braces himself with his now freed hand, which allows him to lean closer to you. He enters your bubble but you never mind it, and his touch is feather-light as he brushes your hair behind your ear.
You’re unpersuaded, however, and raise a brow. “Really?”
Tamaki chuckles and nods, blonde hair bouncing with the singular motion. “Your eyes spoke for the words you had trouble finding. I might be the one stringing together pretty poetry like diamonds around your neck”—his fingers slide lower to trace the curve of your collarbone left exposed by the cut of your blouse, and you shiver—“but you have no need for words at all, much less the turns of phrases on pieces of candy.”
“Is that why you liked me too?” you ask, remembering his own confession that had followed closely on the heel of yours. You keep your voice hushed because given how close to each other you are, there’s no need for any higher of a volume.
Tamaki hums in confirmation. His index finger delicately taps once, twice, thrice, on the hollow at the base of your throat, a sort of absentminded movement while absorbed in his thoughts, before he once more brings his hand up, cradling your cheek. “You say you’re a drop in the ocean but you’re the drops of morning dew on the roses just outside my bedroom window. My heart flutters to breathe you in.”
You smile, bashful, and set your hand over his, interlacing your fingers. Your cheeks have darkened in a blush Tamaki would like to kiss. “Okay, I’m convinced,” you concede with a murmur. He’s so close to you now. “When I admitted how I felt, maybe it didn’t go as badly as I thought.”
This elicits another laugh from Tamaki. Instead of acting on his desire to run his lips along your silken skin (there would be time for that later), he settles for a quick peck on your nose, then reaches into the pouch of heart candies, temporarily abandoned but not forgotten. His fingers curl around two pieces and he pulls them both out rather than dropping one, but he sees the words on them before you do since his hand obscures them from your view.
“The powers governing destiny have destined our souls for each other,” he declares. “Because you and me, it’s love.”
He uncurls his fingers to reveal the candy in his palm, and you look down at them. The green one reads You & Me, and the blue one It’s Love. This prompts you to giggle. It’s music to his ears.
“What happened to not needing candy to tell you what to say?” Your tone is playful.
Tamaki shrugs, unable to hide his amused grin. “I pulled them out at random. If this is the universe speaking to me, who would I be to argue?”
You have no counter to this, not that you think there even is one. Destiny is destiny and as Tamaki feeds you one of the hearts and you bite into it, the sugar once more dissolving on your tongue, you can only thank those powers which make the world turn for conferring their blessing upon the two of you in such a deliciously sweet way.
𝒅𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒈𝒐- 𝑡𝑜𝑢𝑦𝑎 𝑡𝑜𝑑𝑜𝑟𝑜𝑘𝑖
first piece ! this one has a massive tw
reader tries to unalive themselves, vomit mention, cursing as well, but its touya so do we expect anything else
1.9k words all together, and there's an alt ending too hahah.
enjoy!
it wasn’t always like this. touya started to notice his partner’s downward spiral pretty quickly. he didn’t want to admit he was worried. he couldn’t show anyone he was worried. even them. but he couldn’t ignore the pure panic starting to build in his chest. it sat on his chest like a white rage, making his limbs tremble a bit.
they're fine. If they needed something, I would’ve been there.
he began to repeat this like a mantra, a deep breath pulled in every so often to hopefully shake off whatever this was. was this a panic attack? last time he’d had one, he stood in front of his father, pulling out fistfuls of hair with his small and already scarring hands. no. it’s not that. then what is it?
“hey, bacon bitch. we have to go over the mission for tomorrow. will you go find l/n?”
shigaraki. with a sigh, touya’s arms uncrossed from his chest, and he nodded before making his way back into the base. the walk from the bar to their shared room wasn’t long at all, yet the door was closed.
that’s weird, they usually keep the door open.
a swift knock replaced the silence in the air, the odd feeling in touya’s chest dropping to his stomach as no answer came. again, he knocked on the bedroom door, a bit more urgency within his movements now.
“babe? are you in there? shiggy called a meeting.”
Nothing.
“y/n?”
silence. his breathing became heavy, taking in large gulps of air to fill the sudden emptiness he felt. his head shook and a stapled hand around the door knob, his wrist tilting to turn it.
he was half expecting to see his significant other asleep, but the bed was empty, and felt cold against the palm of his hand. bright blue eyes scanned across the bedroom, falling on the open closet, a few articles of clothing laying on the floor in front of it. it was like someone had looked through their belongings. it may explain the closed door. one of the members had come in to snoop, probably toga. no, that wasn’t it either. toga would’ve mentioned something she’d found on her hunt. upon further inspection of the pile of clothes that had been looked through, it seemed like there was something missing. a small box, maybe? if it was something like that, touya had never seen anything of it, or what was inside of it.
“touya~ ya coming? the meeting is about to start.”
“i told you not to call me that.”
“but you let y/n call you that.”
“that’s different. they're— ”
“speaking of, have you seen them anywhere? I haven’t laid my eyes on them all day!”
another shock wave of worry rushed through touya. he stuttered a bit as he spoke.
“Y-You haven’t s-seen them?”
“nope, not once today. i’m sure they're around somewhere. i’ll see you at the meeting.”
and with that, the young blonde basically skipped away, calling out for twice on her way down the hall. did they go out? no, no. they would’ve at least told someone they were leaving the base. touya slid his hands in his pockets, abandoning his now very lonely bedroom to look through the others. with each room, he came up empty handed, finding not even a trace of his love. shit… wait, was that—?
a soft, familiar sound wrapped around his waist and pulled him from jin’s room and to the bathroom door. humming? y/n only does that in the comfort of their room. only after tough missions, or when touya relives the terror of his childhood in his dreams. so, why? before he can even think, his fist pounded against the slab of wood.
“doll? are you okay?”
the voice that followed sent a chill through his warmed body.
“touya…?
“baby, you sound sick. i’m coming in.”
“you can’t.”
“what do you mean i can’t”
“i don’t... want you to… see me like this..”
like what? touya didn’t understand. he couldn't understand. he’d seen his partner through plenty of lows before, but this felt different. were they trying to—?
his hand wrapped around the door knob, but unlike any of the doors he’d opened before, this one was locked. touya figured his mind was just playing tricks on him, and that this wasn’t actually happening. the door in front of him wasn’t really locked, right? however, when he tried to open the door again, it remained sealed.
“y/n. open the door. now.”
only an airy giggle followed his demand. was this a joke? were the events of today all a part of an elaborate, sick prank the league pulled together without him knowing? touya, again, shook his head, pressing his ear up to the door as if that would give him some kind of clue. it didn’t. he kept his hand wrapped around the locked piece of metal keeping him from his beloved, the almost comforting feeling of his quirk completely engulfing his palm. as the metal starts to melt, he threw his body against the wood, finally gaining access to the small room.
in the bathtub was where he found his darling, their head leaning lazily against the wall behind them as eyes fought to stay open. an empty pill bottle and it’s cap laid idly on the tiled floor next to the overflowing tub.
“get out.”
“no. what did you take?”
“it doesn’t matter.”
y/n’s words were slurred as they spoke, and touya paid no mind to their protests as he reached forward to grab the bottle on the ground.
“morphine? how much was in here? when did you take this?”
“touya. i love you.”
“answer my question.”
“i’m sorry…”
his eyes moved from the bottle to his significant other in the tub, as they began to sink into the water. the empty bottle was thrown to the floor, wrapping his arms under y/n’s to pull them up. their head rolled back, eyes following suit as their breathing became almost nonexistent.
“shit. no, no. y/n? baby, answer me!”
nothing came from them, remaining unresponsive in touya’s arms. against his better judgement, a hand moved to land a harsh slap across the unconscious one in his arms face. no reaction.
“fuck—!”
touya dragged them from the bathtub and moved himself and his partner in front of the toilet, quickly supporting their head with the palm of one of his hands. he sat himself beside his love, keeping them up as he pulled their jaw open. a grimace sat across his face as touya’s first two fingers pushed themselves down the other's throat, only to pull his hand away when he felt a gag. bile and the previously swallowed pills pushed their way up from y/n’s stomach and into the toilet with a harsh cough following. two cold, wet hands braced themselves on the sides of the bowl, another gag pushing what was left of the medication out of y/n’s body. their voice was hoarse as they spoke.
“why didn’t you just leave me there?”
“you were going to fuckin’ die.”
“that was kinda the point, touya.”
blue eyes widened at those words, his breath catching in his throat as the two looked at each other. y/n’s breathing was labored, still fighting against the sleep that was trying to pull them away from touya. a very careful, scarred hand moved to rest against the cheek of the other.
“you can’t leave me.”
“bub-”
“shut up. you’re not allowed to just leave after everything. what am i supposed to do without my butterfly?”
no words followed, yet the smaller one in touya’s arms remained awake against their own will. good. arms moved to wrap around y/n’s waist, tugging them closer as he stood. a grunt pushed past his lips as touya hoisted them up from the ground.
“what are you—”
“hush, i’m just taking you to our room.”
as if they had accepted defeat, y/n’s weight rested against touya’s body. an arm hooked under their knees, the other staying around their waist as the taller male lifted them and started carrying them to their room. y/n shifted a bit, resting their head against touya’s shoulder, eyes fighting to stay open with each passing second.
“baby, can you stay awake? please? for me?”
the smaller one in touya’s arms only groaned in response, their head again rolling forward as they started to cave under the heavy weight of exhaustion. touya could only panic, his steady hands now trembling as he lightly nudged the door to their room open with his shoulder. he made his way over to their bed, sitting the other on the edge. y/n didn’t support themselves like touya was expecting, but as he started to move from the bed, he felt the weight of the other move with him.
“shit. hey, y/n. c’mon, let me see those pretty eyes.”
another groan filled the air, and touya felt a sigh of relief rush past his lips. dull eyes pushed open to look back up at touya, their normal brightness now dark with the come down of whatever high had been chased. cold, damp arms snaked around touya’s neck, a steady breath fanning across the burned skin,
“why can’t i just take a little nap?”
“because you could slip into a coma. i’m not letting that happen. sit still, I’m getting you warm clothes.”
he didn’t mean for it to come out like an order, expression flattening while cold hands moved to rest on his shoulders.
“can i have a hug instead?”
touya hesitated, breath pausing for a moment before ultimately shaking his head.
“let's get you dry clothes first… just work with me. please.”
y/n could hear the desperation in his voice, nodding slowly as their hands removed themselves from his shoulder, pulling the sheets into their hold.
touya slowly pulled away, eyes glued to his lover as he did so. hurried movements carried him through the room, his eyes darting to y/n while he filtered through the closet for clothes. finally, a sigh of relief passed through his lips as he returned to them with a set of dry, warm garments. his of course, y/n wouldn't have it any other way. he stood in front of them, their head tilted down, eyes almost losing the battle to stay open. his hands felt more steady now, motions flowing easily through them when he captured their chin in a loose grip, kneeling down to make eye contact.
“hey, angel. think you can stand for me?”
they, of course only nodded in response, the weight of today's events slowing their body. changing was quick, touya’s hands doing most of the work while also managing to hold them up. the wet clothes were discarded, thrown to the side, but a mental note was made to take care of them later.
“i love you, touya.. i'm sor—”
“no, baby. don't apologize. you're safe now, that's all that matters.”
his hands warmed, taking their chilled face into them with the most reassuring smile he could conjure up.
“how about that nap, y/n? still tired?”
“absolutely fucking exhausted.”
“yeah, i thought so.”
he pulled them into bed, tucking their head into his chest as his breathing became more steady. y/n was out like a light, he was certain of that once slow breathes sent a chill down his spine. his head dipped down, pressing a feather light kiss to the crown of theirs.
“i’ll keep you safe from now on… i promise.”
Chapter Six:
That night, Y/N had plans with Wanda and Vis to go out and get a drink. However, when she called to double check, they asked if they could reschedule for another day. She told them that she was actually planning on staying a full week from Monday and that anytime that week would work for them.
So she spent the afternoon hanging out with Chloe who came home in the late morning. They went shopping in the art district and caught up over coffee before going thrifting and heading back home before dinner.
Once dinner was over, where Sherri, Thomas, Chloe, and Y/N hung out as a family, the parents went to bed early and Chloe went over to a friend's house to hang out again. Leaving Y/N by herself reading a book on the back porch.
After reading the same page for the 10th time, she let out a huff from not being able to still her mind from the events of the morning.
She looked over at the clock, seeing it was only 9:00. But in her head, it was six. She bit her thumb as she stared at the clock ticking away with each second. After about 14 tiks, she rolled her eyes before going upstairs and changing.
Maybe a night in town by herself would be nice. She noticed there was a bar Wanda and Vis had mentioned that was next to where they planned to eat and figured she deserved a drink after today.
So she put on a pair of nice jeans and a simple t-shirt with an old jean jacket that was twice her size from highschool. She fit into a little better now, but it was definitely still giant on her figure. Grabbing her dad’s car keys, she made her way to the mystery bar.
Tumblr media
______________
Upon arriving at the bar, she realized it was a Saturday night, so it was busier than she had planned.
She found a seat at the bar and ordered a local beer before scanning out the place.
It was nice. Not really a dive bar, but an actual nice bar. There was still a pool table and a little game spot to the side, but there were booths full of people eating and talking, and even a DJ with a small dance floor on the other side.
It was a neat little place. Nothing special, but they seemed to know how to make a good drink given the reviews on the menu they proudly displayed from past customers.
Y/N was going over the menu having finished her last drink pretty fast, but before she could even read the second option on the menu, a familiar voice sounded behind her.
“Well, looky here. If it isn’t Mrs. Barnes herself.”
Y/N furrowed her eyebrows turning at the comment and instantly, her eyes widened.
“James?”
“Hey, sweetheart. What are you doing here?” he sauntered to the empty barstool by her. She noticed a weird sway in his walk that helped her put two and two together that something was off with him.
“I’m getting a drink,” she answered confused, lifting the beer bottle in her hand.
“I thought you didn’t drink,” he slurred. “And a beer, hmm? I figured that if you ever did start drinking, it would be the fruity stuff,” he chuckled, leaning his head in his hand that was propped on the counter.
She paid no mind to his thoughts and shot him a glare. “Are you drunk, James?”
He pouted his lips and shrugged with an ‘I don’t know, am I?’ look on his face. It quickly dropped and turned into a smirk as he readjusted in the seat.
“You know, I hate that you call me James now,” he huffed, swiveling in his seat to face forward at the bar.
“It is your name,” Y/N shook her head with a sigh. Lord this was going to be interesting. She looked around trying to find Steve or Sam even. “Are you here by yourself?”
“It’s only my name to people who don’t know me. My friends call me Bucky and you’re my friend,” he pouted again, but wasn’t looking at her. Only swirling the amber liquid in the glass tumbler she realized he had in hand now.
“Friend’s a stretch,” she mumbled, taking a long swig of the new drink. He didn’t hear her though. She looked around a little harder and couldn’t find any sign of someone they knew. “Really. Are you here alone?”
“Yes, and so are you,” he noted, finally turning to her.
“Yes, but I’m not plastered.”
“Give it some time and you could be,” he winked.
She shook her head watching as he almost slipped from his chair.
“Ja-”
“Please don’t call me that, doll. I don’t have it in me to hear you make me feel like a stranger,” he mumbled flagging down the bartender. “Can I get another one please?” He asked, raising his now empty glass. The bartender looked at him with a judging eye, and Y/N jumped in before he could possibly say yes.
“A water. He’ll have water instead,” she smiled softly. “Please and thank you.”
“Got it,” the bartender nodded before going to get him a glass.
“That’s not what I asked for,” Bucky groaned.
“We don’t always get our way, do we?” Y/N sighed, taking a long pull from her own drink. When she finally pulled away, almost emptying the glass, she noticed Bucky staring at her. “What? What are you looking at?” she said, slightly off put by the longing look he was giving her without even trying to hide it.
He broke when he noticed her giving him a weirded outlook and stood up.
“I need to go to the bathroom.”
Without a second for her to react, he stood up quickly and walked to the back where the restroom signs hung above.
The bartender came back a minute later and slid the glass of water across the counter in replacement to the empty tumbler that he took back.
“You know that guy? Is he bugging you?” he asked, looking at Y/N who was now holding her head in her hands.
“I do. He’s an old family friend,” she answered looking down. “Can I get another?” she asked, shaking the now empty beer bottle to the man with a small pleading smile.
“I can get you something stronger you know? I feel like you may need it,” he said, and she noticed his tone had changed from just a server to something a little more flirty. His smirk giving away his intentions.
I mean, he wasn’t a bad looking guy. He was a young, probably early 30 year old guy, who for sure made time in his schedule to go to the gym. He had a clean shave, showing his sharp features too.
“Is it that obvious?” she chuckled, sending him back a small smirk of her own.
“You look a little strung out,” he chuckled, going to get another drink made up without her having to say yes.
“Saying it's been an eventful day, would be putting it lightly,” she sighed loudly.
The guys nodded his head in understanding and smiled as he shook up a new concoction. He poured in impressively into a glass and placed a cherry and lime on top before handing it off to her.
“On the house for that one then,” he winked. She smiled, adding a hint of flirtatious eye contact to the man, might as well. She was single… Kinda. “Hey, we make a mean batch of shredded chicken nachos too if you're hungry. I might be able to get you a discount.”
“Oh, I’m actually-,” she started, but was quickly interrupted.
“She’s vegetarian,” Bucky practically growled at the man behind the bar as he took his seat back.
“Oh,” the guy said, taken aback.
“He’s right, but thank you for the offer,” she smiled politely before sending Bucky a glare. Unfortunately he didn’t see it as he was sending a glare of his own to the man on the other side of the counter.
Knowing Bucky would make matters worse, she decided to move on from the bartender for the moment.
“I’m so sorry about him,” she scoffed, placing a hand on Bucky’s shoulder to bring his attention back to her and deter his evil stare from the innocent person. “I think I’m going to get him home actually.”
“I’m not going home yet,” Bucky spoke up, being ignored by the two anyway.
“Probably a good idea,” the mystery bartender man nodded before looking back at Y/N with that flirty grin again. “Listen, I don’t know if you’re here very often, but I’ll be on shift tomorrow the same time if you wanted to drop by. Maybe I can get you some of our famous fries instead,” he winked, leaning more her direction.
“That actually sounds nice,” she began.
“Well, I hate to break it to you sir, but she’s married,” Bucky said with a deep voice almost perfectly sober now.
Y/N shot him wide eyes and saw that any form of drunkenness was hidden in that moment. He had become a big alpha male right there and was showing he was not one to mess with. Was he seriously jealous? Of a man offering her a drink and fries?
“James!” Y/N smacked his arm.
“What? Am I wrong?” he responded, a hint of anger in his response to her as his eyes showed pain when he made eye contact with her finally.
“Yes! Very!” Y/N responded.
“On the contrary, I’m not,” he said, taking a step closer.
The two were now chest to chest as he looked down at her and she looked up at him. The tension high and their eyes staring into the others soul. Anger and hurt in both their stances and stares.
“I need to go help another customer,” the bartender spoke up awkwardly.
Y/N broke from the stare down and sent him an apologetic look. Bucky was still looking at her as if his eyes were magnetically attached to her face.
“I’m so sorry,” she paused looking for a name tag and seeing Bradley inscripted on a metal plate pinned to his shirt. “Bradley. I don’t know why,” she hissed looking at Bucky for a second who rolled his eyes at her before she turned back. “He’s acting this way.”
“It’s fine. You guys have a good night,” he waved off with a kind smile before sending Bucky a weary look and going back to his job.
Y/N took a deep breath before turning to Bucky who was still inches from her and looking down at her. His face was stoic and grumpy.
“How did you get here?” He didn’t answer her harsh tone. “James, how did you get here?” she said, this time leaving no room for silence as she gave him a death glare.
“I drove,” he answered deeply.
“Give me your keys,” she laid her hand out in front of him.
“No.”
“Stop acting like a literal child and give me your keys.” The stubbornness between the two only grew as the other refused to break. “Fine, don’t give me your keys. I’m driving you home either way.”
“I’m not ready to go home,” he slurred some. His facade of trying to cover his drunkenness was fading as he eased up on trying to intimidate someone now.
“Well, I say you are. Come on,” she rolled her eyes, taking his hand and dragging him to the door.
“Hey!” he fought back, but she was walking too fast that his alcohol soaked brain was only focused on not tripping and couldn’t work on stopping himself.
“God, you are a mess. Can’t do anything without fucking supervision,” she mumbled once they were outside.
“You have a mouth on you,” he said as he crossed his arms and waited for her to fish out the keys.
“Yeah, well, some of us have changed since college,” she retorted.
“I’ve changed,” he said softly.
“You sure as hell aren’t acting like it,” she said through her teeth, frustrated in not finding the keys fast enough.
“Do you only remember our bad moments? Is that all you allow yourself to think of?” he shot back, but she ignored him and opened his door before moving to the driver side.
The car ride to Bucky’s shared apartment with Steve was filled with tension. Bucky sitting like a scolded child on the side while Y/N was the parent furious with him for causing a scene in a public place.
“That Bradley guy flirts with every girl that walks in there,” he mumbled about 5 minutes into the drive. He didn’t get a response. When he looked over to see if she had reacted at all, all he saw was a bitch face on her that was focused on the road ahead. “He’s kinda a dick from what I’ve heard the girls say about him that go in and out.”
“Are you there that often that you know the waitstaff's dating profiles?” she sassed.
“No, I’m just saying from what I know, he doesn’t deserve you.” He had said the last part so softly, that if the car wasn’t as awkwardly quiet as it was, Y/N wouldn’t have been able to make it out.
She turned to look at him finally and saw him with his head propped against the glass of the window. He was avoiding eye contact and had opted to watching the city lights pass by for the rest of the car ride.
Y/N wasn’t sure how to respond or if she even should. What was the point anyway? He wouldn’t remember any of this in the morning and she wasn’t supposed to care… At least that’s what she told herself.
She was able to get to the apartment after Wanda sent his and Steve’s address thankfully.
“Ok, we’re here,” Y/N parked in the front of the apartment.
It was one of those buildings that looked like a house in a neighborhood where all of them were side by side going up 3 floors. But in their case, each floor was a different flat/apartment. It was updated and in the nicer part of town, so clearly he and Steve were well off.
From what Wanda had said, Bucky was on the top floor and Steve was renting out the middle floor within the next month. So he had been crashing at Bucky’s until the lease for the current tenant was up and the space was open.
“Thanks,” Bucky groaned. He had sobered up some from the drive, but considering how far gone he was earlier, he couldn’t be that much better.
He opened the door and sloppily got out of the car almost tripping on the curb and stumbling to the steps.
Y/N groaned leaning forward and hitting her head on the steering wheel by her hands.
“Don’t do it Y/N. Don’t do it,” she repeated, but when she looked back up, he was sitting on the middle of the steps with one hand rubbing his temple. “And you’re going to do it…”
She got out of the car and came to the front of him. Her anger had dissipated some and now she felt pity for the poor guy.
“You good?” she asked, and he looked up with her in surprise.
“I got a little dizzy,” he answered before going back massaging his head.
“Need some help?” she sighed, offering her hand.
He slowly raised his eyes to look at the gesture before looking at her.
“Why are you being nice? I’ve only been a drunken dick to you tonight,” he groaned, taking her hand anyway. “I’m surprised you didn’t dump me off and speed away.”
“Yeah, well. We’ve all been dicks at some point. Doesn’t mean we don’t deserve a helping hand here and there,” she nodded as they walked up the steps. “What button do I push?”
“Last one on the right,” Bucky said, putting his head back down as he stuffed his hands in his pockets and leaned on the door for support from the world spinning around him.
She did as told, and the button let out a blunt ring as it called the floor above.
“Hello?” a voice replied.
“Steve? It’s Y/N,” she answered.
“Y/N? What are you doing here?” Steve asked in shock.
“I’m delivering you your drunk best friend. Mind ringing me up?” she answered in a tired tone.
“Uh, yeah, yeah! One sec.” The bell sounded, giving the two access to the unlocked door now.
Bucky rolled away from it as Y/N opened it for them both and they started their way to the nice elevator off to the side by the stairs.
Once the doors shut, Bucky looked over to Y/n who had been avoiding eye contact the entire time. He finally took in her presence and noticed she was wearing one of her favorite jean jackets from highschool. One that he had actually gifted to her. He chuckled a little at it as it still hung loosely on her even after all these years.
“What are you laughing at?” she asked.
And when he met her eyes, he didn’t see the harsh bite back that he had received most of the evening. Instead, there was a small sense of amusement in her question.
“Nothing, just the jacket,” he pointed.
She looked down as if she forgot what she was wearing and then it registered.
“Right, you gave me this for one of our anniversaries,” she chuckled some. He hadn’t heard a genuine laugh from her this entire day. Sure it was the smallest and diluted chuckle ever, but It sounded nice.
“Still have the patch?” he asked.
She pulled it away from her body some and looked in the breast pocket, nodding.
When he had got it, it was nothing special but an older, worn out, and thrifted jean jacket. But to make it special, he found a little iron on patch of the world to put inside the pocket. He had told her that she always had the world in her pocket with the light that she was for it. She would and could do just about anything to make a room and this entire planet light up just by smiling.
Tumblr media
Bucky couldn’t help the goofy smile that came across his face knowing she didn’t rip it out in spite at some point in all these years. That jacket had a little more meaning to them then just being a shield from the brisk air.
Once the elevator reached the floor, Y/N motioned Bucky out.
“I don’t know where to go from here, so I hope you’re sober enough to point me the right direction,” she smirked playfully.
Bucky returned it, not wanting to chance taking away the civil actions happening in the moment.
“Right,” he agreed, coming out and making his way down the new hall. “Steve,” he shouted loudly. Lucky for them, they had the whole floor to themselves.
Steve’s head poked out of the door less than a second later.
“Hey,” he said with a confused face that was attempting to be covered by a kind smile.
“I’m going to go inside before I made more of a fool of myself,” Bucky mumbled, pushing past Steve who moved to the outside of the hall. “Thanks for bringing me back, Y/N,” he said with a tight embarrassed smile. “Sorry for being a dick again.”
Not that Y/N would have said anything back, but even if she had, he stalked away with his head low and disappeared into the apartment before she would have a chance.
“Do I want to know?” Steve sighed.
“Uh, even I’m not too sure what went on tonight,” Y/N responded, putting her hand in the jacket pockets and rocking on her feet.
“Do I need to apologize for his actions?” Steve chuckled, looking down at her bashfully.
“He’s a big boy Stevie, he can take responsibilities for his actions,” Y/N chuckled back.
“Right. You would think he would act like the grown man that he is, but it looks as though we were both thrown for a loop tonight.”
“Guess so.”
“Hey, Wanda told me you’re here for the week now. Your travel plans changed. Are the rumors true?” Steve asked, moving the subject away from the awkward one.
“Uh, yeah. I was going to text you tomorrow morning, but looks like I was beat to the punch.”
“Well, we’ll all have to hang out soon then. It’s been too long,” he winked. The two gave each other a quick hug, but Steve didn’t let go and looked down at her. “How are you doing? Clearly the other part of this equation isn’t doing too hot,” he noted, looking in the open apartment door before back at her.
“Seems we are handling the second part of this divorce a little different than the other, but I can’t say it’s been fun,” she responded, following his eyeline. “Uh, listen. I hate to see you for like two seconds after all this time and split, but I’m kinda beat from the day.”
Steve pulled away and patted her back nodding.
“No, no. I completely understand. I know from experience, drunk Bucky isn't an easy one to take care of. Plus... Everything else on top of that.”
“Yeah...”
“You go ahead and head home. I’ll call you later to set up a time for the team to meet and catch up. Sound good?”
“Sounds like a plan, Cap,” she winked.
He rolled his eyes with a smile before waving her off. “Want me to walk you down?”
“Nah, I parked right out front. I should be fine,” she shook her head as she headed back for the elevators. “Um, his car is still at the bar by the way. You may need to go pick it up tomorrow. I didn’t want him driving home, given his state.”
“Thank you for that. I’m sorry again,” Steve grimaced.
“Don’t apologize, just uh… Just get him some advil and lots of water. I’ll see you later.”
“Will do. Bye, Everest!” he bantered back with her own nickname.
“God, haven’t heard that one in years,” she laughed before the elevator doors shut.
With a heavy sigh and lots of thoughts on her mind, the car ride home felt like it never happened.
Ok I really been wanting to see Giant dream and Tiny Tommy vore fluff. Just some fluff and noms. Ans Maybe another where it is Giant Dream and Tiny SBI Fluff and noms also. It is wired I am sorry. Saw you asking for requests.
I did the first one! (Also sorry for the lack of uploads today, been really busy.)
Warnings: Soft vore, mention of rough past, slight dehumanization?
Words: 1.4K+
The god and The Strange Boy
The temperature of the room was almost unimaginable, he had no idea how he had coped with it for so long within that prison, the now outside fresh air feeling foreign, cold. It was a strange sensation, but a welcome one.
He wondered how everybody was doing, how things had changed within his time within the prison. In his opinion it was an unfair sentence, it wasn’t his fault how things had changed within the SMP, it wasn’t him that should’ve been held responsible.
It should’ve been them.
He remembered how he’d get visited by him in the prison, he was almost scared. Asking for advice on what to do, he wanted so badly to hold him close to his chest and comfort him, but the prison’s containment prevented him from doing so.
At first, the exile. He hated him, wanted to kill him. But, in his exile he came to understand the boy and his beginnings, the boy had opened up to him, so he comforted him and even opened up himself.
Dream didn’t have a good past, he was known as a monster back in the day, he’d changed when he met Sapnap and George but reverted to his old ways somewhat when the whole L’manburg started happening.
But this boy. Tommy. He thought the boy acted on selfish decisions, was arrogant or worse but that wasn’t the actual Tommy. To some extent, yes but if you really knew him as Ranboo or Tubbo did. He was definitely someone else.
Whenever you see this side of Tommy, it’s mainly a defence mechanism. Because the boy had a rough past himself. One that neither found family knew of, Tubbo and Ranboo only knew parts of this past. But to say the boy had it rough, he really did.
He wasn’t sure why Tommy ran away from exile; he was there for the boy. He thought maybe he scared him. Or the loneliness? Whatever it was he didn’t know but in the meantime, he wanted L’manburg gone. So he teamed up with two others are known as Philza and Technoblade to destroy it.
In the remains of L’manburg, that’s where he saw the boy again. Looking betrayed but all of them. When in reality, all they wanted to do was protect him. Dream, as much as this ancient god didn’t want to admit but, he saw this kid as his own.
Afterwards, Techno and Phil returned to their home in the Antarctic, being the blood god and the angel of death. They had similar titles as Dream. But as for Dream, he was punished by other’s, held in prison to what many saw as home.
He hated the place but put up with it with the visits of Tommy, he had apologised for running and began to talk to Dream how he used to.
Tommy was in no way a god, he was mortal. Small compared to many others. He was a mortal adopted by the gods, taken in to be one of their own.
When in reality, he was left to survive as a plaything for these gods.
Dream saw him as no such thing, and as much as Techno and Phil hated to admit it they cared for the boy as well. Despite not being there as much for him as Dream. They had a reputation to maintain.
Now, with his newfound freedom, he was looking for his brother. It had been a while since his last visit, and he had no clue where the boy had gone.
He looked and looked, no one had a clue as to where Tommy’s current location was. It was just known he wasn’t at his dirt hole as much as he once was.
He questioned everyone he came across; he didn’t find anything suspicious until…
Until he ran into the God of bees and the God of portals. Ranboo and Tubbo.
When asked, they acted suspiciously different, as if they were trying to hide something from them.
And he was correct, when followed he found that these gods had founded a new place to call home, one off the knowledge of others. Much like the Antarctic. It was called Snowchester.
The three had founded a mortal son that they wished to hide. And with it, Tommy was there. He found him.
Tommy pulled on leaves about twice his size, trying to uproot what seemed to be potatoes in the cold winter snow. “Tommy?”, he asked whilst standing beside a nearby tree.
The boy jumped out of his mind for a moment before turning to Dream, “DREAMM! MY MANN! Wassup?!”. He said enthusiastically but Dream could see that he had frightened him.
He laughed and smiled, then approaching the boy. “I’m good, out of prison now. I’ve seen you’ve been doing good with yourself”. Dream then held out his hand to the floor, allowing Tommy to stand on as he sat down near the tree.
“Yeah, been working where I can and stuff, sorry bout not visiting”, “It’s fine Tommy”. “How’d you even find me anyways?”. “Followed Tubbo and stuff”.
“They’re gonna be pissed!”. Tommy laughed, “They won’t be, not when they realise, I mean no harm”. “That may be the case with Ranboo, not so much Tubbo, he’s not only the God of Bees y’know”.
Dream nodded in understanding. And then there was a moment of peace between the two, “It’s weird honestly?”, Tommy looked up at Dream. “How we both get along? Don’t you find it odd?”.
“Well Dream, I’m pretty sure it’s because of how great I am! I am Tommyinnit after all!”. Dream smirked from under his mask and put a fingertip to Tommy’s hair and ruffled it playfully.
Tommy’s expression turned from happy to silent grief as he looked away from Dream, “Hey Dream?”, “Yes, Tommy?”, “Am I ever going to be able to go home?”.
A thing about the god realm is that if humans were to cross the barrier, they’d never be able to return. They’d be at the mercy of the gods.
Dream looked down at Tommy and moved his finger to gently rub the boy’s back, making the answer clear. He’d been told it many a time, but he knew the boy couldn’t help but cling onto hope of going home. He couldn’t blame him.
The two sat in the comforting silence for a while longer, until the cold winds started to pick up, it didn’t affect himself, but it did affect Tommy. The boy was shivering now with no shelter for him nearby. He’d freeze soon enough.
Tommy looked up to Dream, seeming to know the plan already. Dream moved Tommy to his lap as he used his hands to unclip his mask, when the mask was removed it revealed a scarred face with his eyes black with glowing green pupils. A sight nobody usually saw.
He then picked up Tommy and brought the boy closer towards his face, where he breathed and covered the boy in warmth, Tommy clung to him. He opened his mouth to reveal a multitude of sharp fangs.
But that didn’t stop Tommy from stepping in himself, Dream using his tongue to make sure the boy didn’t trip or anything, once Tommy was safely in his mouth, he closed it. And moved his tongue to taste at Tommy.
He purred slightly as he felt the taste of Strawberries and a mix of other things, Tommy laughing every time he and the tongue crossed paths.
Once he deemed the boy ready for decent, he titled his head back and swallowed.
He traced the boy’s descent with his finger, and slowly felt Tommy drop into his stomach, safely tucked away. He rubbed there for a moment, feeling Tommy move and shift into a comfortable position.
He signed in relief when he felt the boy tiredly put his hands to rub at the stomach walls and fall asleep. He must’ve been tired from all the work he’d be doing.
He began the journey of finding a place for the night but was stopped when he heard the yell of his name. “DREAM!”.
He turned and saw the god of Explosives, Tubbo. Who seemed ready to explode and a slightly angry Ranboo, he seemed conflicted about something? He drew out his sword for a fight.
Later, they were all sitting by the fireplace, covered in injuries. “Why didn’t you say so earlier?”, Tubbo spoke in a sassy way as he sipped on his tea. Dream had a hand covering his stomach as he looked to Tubbo, “Well, it doesn’t matter now. You all are now under my protection.”.
