Things I would have wanted from a teen wolf movie:

(partially keeping in mind canon and what characters are not currently returning)

I could seriously sit through hours of just Scott McCall going around and doing good deeds during his college years. 

Maybe guiding young supernaturals.

He's having a good time in vet school. Probably has a rad internship where he is the most loved intern by people and animals. 

if Stiles cant be there then nothing drastic happens so it makes sense that Scott wouldn't have to call in him, 

but maybe Stiles sends him a conspiracy board in an email to be helpful. It's probably too convoluted to be legible to anyone but him. 

Scott and Malia finally get to enjoy a long term relationship uncomplicated by supernatural means.

Mason and Corey also get to have this 

If we could have Kira back I would personally love for her and Scott to get back together 

(and honestly, if they’re going to put Scott and Kira together, then Scott and Malia, and put in the scenes of Kira and Malia together they might as well all date. That might be optimistic of me.)

Speaking of Kira, would love to see her come into her power as a kitsune

would love to have her back at all actually 

Malia doesn't have to go to collage because she's skilled as fuck in other aspects and her intelligence isn't based on how well she does in school.

I feel like she would enjoy being a park ranger or something.

We actually get to see Henry Tate be the good dad who loves his daughter that we were shown he was

If Malia wants a relationship with Peter he should just get his shit together and do that for her

Lydia just gets to do what the fuck ever, completely unincumbered by gross ass men and adults telling her she doesn't know what she's talking about. 

an actual apology from Jackson would be nice if he has to be there 

Buddy duo Liam and Mason show up and they have some fun shenanigans. 

If Corey can’t be there maybe he's busy with an exchange program or an internship

Personal pet peeve of mine: Reading a yandere story with a historical setting with the yandere reducing the target of their obsession to just sitting around all day when they are not being subjected to "affections" and it being written that way for "historical accuracy".

I mean, yeah, there were gender roles in the past, but those gender roles didn't feature women being completely reduced to fleshlights with no other purpose. That was a job and it was called prostitute or concubine, and many women didn't do it willingly. Even high society women had a lot of tasks.

Being into historical re-enactment really showed me that it didn't matter if you were a man or a woman, or even just a child; you really didn't have much time to be idle. Asides, idlness was/is frowned upon in many religions and cultures.

C'mon, even the thing with societal norms is that a great part of society didn't adhere to them 'cause it just wasn't feasible. The attitude went along the lines of: "Nice morals you got there. We're just gonna throw a few out 'cause else we're not gonna survive. Mary, go get ye scythe now, the wheat's not gonna reap itself." And high society geneally didn't really practise what it preached because it was commonly too interested in debauchery.

People didn't get married for shits and giggles either. The single lifestyle only really worked when you either inheired a lot/had relatives paying for you or that you were living under your employers roof and all your worldy possessions fitted in one bag. Or you just lived with your family until you kicked the bucket. I mean, the armour and weapons a knight had were often provided by their liege lord and a priest's housing belonged to the Church.

Also, the trope of arranged marriages is a bit overused at this point. How about more stories about both parties hating each other's guts, or the woman loving the idea of marrying her intended but the man wanting to run for the hills? The woman baby-trapping the man perhaps? Because all of that existed to!

Don't get me started on fashion. Corset =/= patriarchy. You don't see the women in Jane Austen or Mary Shelley novels complaining about corsets and burning them, so let it rest. Really, that trope of corsets being a torture device comes from men making fun of woman's fashion and actresses with illfitting periode costumes. Corsets were more comfortable than stays and only really went out of fashion due to women needing more flexability due to bicycles. Ya really think ladies removed ribs, in a period where there weren't antibiotics and doctors went from cutting up corpses to treating patients without washing their hands inbetween? Common sense, where are you?

Asides, the clothing having to be chaste and covering certain parts applied to everybody. Breeches went out of fashion because people thought women would become arroused by men's exposed calves. Such standards didn't only apply to the Victorians, mind you.

A General Guide to Writing Well, Now, & Consistently

In all my years writing, I have struggled with keeping writing as a fun and healthy habit. It took me five years (and many instances of writer's block and giving up) to actually have a basic set of guidelines to keep my writing going...

And I would like to share these "rules" with you all today!

Now, a bit of a disclaimer: developing the quality of your writing skills comes with time, research, and thinking. It may sound frustrating to hear, and you may hear it often, but the only way to get better at writing is to write and read often. Many times, just by jotting a silly thought down or reading fanfiction, you can spawn ideas without realizing it.

Now, to the list of tips that (I hope) will help you on your writing endeavors!

If you are not having fun writing your story, your readers will not have fun reading it. It sounds silly, but it's true! If you're enjoying your writing, you're more likely to write more and input more ideas into it!

Even if you have people to check your works, reread them on your own anyway. This may be a little frustrating tip for some, but let me tell you: I used to HATE checking my own stuff. The worst way I learned that personally checking it is a necessity was when my aunt checked it and pointed out tens of mistakes within my grammar, storyline, and characters. Check yo work, it will save you a LOT of embarrassment in the future.

Write anything. Read everything. As ambiguous and obscure as it will sound, it makes sense with context. As I mentioned before, the only way to get better at writing is to write and read often. Write anything your mind desires, that's simple enough. But read EVERYTHING; not only books, blogs, and articles, but also games, texts with friends, billboards, pictures with text, and (sorry, students) even homework as well. You'll be surprised how much your vocabulary expands when you actually pay attention to anything that is written (for me, it was video games. Seven-year old me knew vocabulary that I was taught in seventh grade because of it). And on that note...

Research what you don't know. Please, this one is genuinely important (I'm biased because it's one of my pet peeves). This includes words you don't know the definition of, spelling, and even generic, real-life information you want to add into your stories (e.g. I actually spent four hours researching how gemstones are categorized for my sci-fi story: Eco-Adstrum). Unfortunately, sometimes researching and fact-checking your ideas before writing them down can prove to be unmotivating, especially when you're wrong. But, it's always good to stay optimistic and be creative enough to twist the actual fact to mold it to your stories. Unless you're writing non-fiction, then maybe don't do that last bit.

If you have no ideas, keep wiggling your pencil. To those that recognize that phrase, yes, it is not my own. This is a piece of writing from former Tumblr user "officialtheonite" (I was only able to find the post because it has been reblogged multiple times) and their fifth grade writing teacher. Essentially, even if you have no ideas, keep writing. Write ANYTHING, even if it doesn't make sense. You will always be able to double-check it later and you will save yourself a lot of wasted time sitting around trying to stir the soup in your brain.

Balance the usage of your names and pronouns. To this day, I still struggle with this. I tend to use an abundance of pronouns when I'm referring to a character, so much so that sometimes, it becomes unclear on if we are still talking about aforementioned character or if we're talking about a different character entirely. Use names when the focus or action of a character is on stage; use pronouns if we are still talking about said character (even if we are talking about the same character, make sure you at least reiterate their name when there's a new paragraph).

I'll be editing and reworking this list as time goes on. I hope these tips can be of use so some of you all. Feel free to ask me any questions if needed. Enjoy writing and keep at it! I believe in you all!

I might be the only one upset at this, but what happened to Neil saying that Aziraphale and Crowley rescue each other? If I'm remembering correctly, in an ask he said that Aziraphale has saved Crowley plenty of times and it just wasn't in s1? It's such a tv show good omens thing and I don't take what is said outside of the media as canon, but S2 has only enforced that Crowley saves Aziraphale and not the other way around. That Crowley saves the day, that Crowley is main character material, and that Crowley is supposed to be who we're rooting for and sympathize with more. Having Azirpahale say out loud that saving him makes Crowley happy (like so many other things, explicitly said instead of shown) pushes it more and more. I don't like it. And I don't like that even after that scene where Aziraphale says he does have a plan, he does one thing and is like that was my plan that's all I've got. It's a characterization thing and a pet peeve for me mixed into one. Idk if anyone else feels the same way, but this whole saving business has gotten away from me.

You're definitely not the only one struggeling with that characterization.

They way they are presented reinforces a very cliched (and imbalanced) character dynamic.

Aziraphale is the soft (albeit slightly bitchy) reluctant one and Crowley the bad boy with a heart of gold who saves the day.

Which is a) boring af and b) pretty straight.

Which is why it works so well in fandom.

It's a character dynamic that a lot of people are familiar with, because typical romances work that way, we have a lot of them and are used to them, so they resonate.

It does take away from the uniqueness of their characters though.

The fun thing about Crowley and Aziraphale is that they are not fullfilling typical roles.

(Book) Crowley tries to be cool, but is failing spectacularily, while Aziraphale is supposed to be the rightous one, but his moral compass is all over the place.

That dynamic creates comedy and some great philosophical points to think about.

And it could have easily be transferred to the show.

I also agree that the one-sidedness of the tv relationship makes it feel a bit off.

Yes, Aziraphale makes heart eyes (thank you Michael Sheen for saving the script I guess), but is pretty passive otherwise.

He doesn't even ask why Crowley's plants are suddenly living in the Bentley, even though he carries them around.

It might be the lack of Terry Pratchett, it might be Gaiman, it might be Finnemore (I'm not familiar enough with his work).

It's a shame though, their original dynamic is amazing.

I do recommend 'Crowley gets summoned and Aziraphale saves him fanfic, there's some really good stuff.

(If I remember correctly there's also a bamf!Aziraphale tag, for balance).

I 100% agree with you! I can see them working really well together. Both on the battlefield, and behind the scenes as a couple, of sorts.

Izuku is, of course, the most calculated thinker of the trio. Time and time again he's outsmarted opponents and villains much bigger, much stronger, and much faster than him, and I have no doubt that he would whip up the same smarts around you. While he does get a bit more distracted because, well, it's you we're talking about (your beauty is very distracting to the poor broccoli LMAO), he isn't stupid. Every flirt you throw in his direction in an attempt to catch him off guard, every discovered escape attempt, every lie you've ever told him to find the chip in his armor that will help you escape from his grasp; he sees through it all. And he's planned for it all, too.

I love to imagine him as a super manipulative/cunning Yandere. While he does not behave like this Canon-wise, he's proven to be a very quick learner, so I think he'd adapt to the lifestyle pretty smoothly. I am not saying he will, or wants to, hurt you with his new talent! More like he'll feign innocence and trick other people around him into getting his way. He knows he doesn't look super threatening with his round face and freckled cheeks, but looks can be deceiving. He uses what he once viewed as his flaws to his advantage. He cons, lies, and tricks his way to your side, and gets so comfy sitting on his throne that he isn't too keen on leaving.

When he's with the other two, he is complacent, but a little peeved. He wanted to have you to himself (as all of the Yanderes do), but he figures sharing you is better than constantly fighting others for your unwilling hand.

Don't worry, he'll love you until death comes to drag him off this earth! He understands it's new and overwhelming to be surrounded with so much love all the time, but he'll be patient. If he can suffer years at Kaachan's side being degraded and beaten 'til he felt like a speck of trash on the grimy sidewalk, then the words you throw at him hardly even sting. He'll endure it because his love is Plus Ultra!

Uraraka's a fun case because she already has a crush on one of the two in the group! She adores Deku, to the point where it might evolve into another obsession of hers! To her, that makes the formation of this group even easier to adjust to.

In Uraraka’s imagination, this relationship is a fantasy land. She's the cute princess who can kick ass, but choose to wait around for her one true love. Izuku, the Brave Knight, comes along and she thinks that is where her 'Happily Ever After' ends. When all of a sudden, another beautiful royal stumbles into her fairytale. You! You're just the sweetest thing she's ever met, you make her feel like she's on Cloud 9 every time you smile at her. When your eyes meet, Uraraka feels as dizzy as she does when she uses her quirk for too long. This is it! Her true love! Well, Deku makes her feel the same way, so how can this work...? That is the moment Ochaco decides that she actually has two true loves! (Good thing Deku has fallen in love with you too.)

However, all things considered, she's greedy.

It's not like that's a bad thing! Or, at least, she hopes you don't see that as a bad thing...she just loves you so much! At times, it gets very very hard for her to share you with the other two boys. Uraraka has convinced herself that you swoon over Izuku and Iida. As if you're head-over-heels in love with them, but you don't act that way around her. All you seem to be around her is scared and nervous. Uraraka thinks about the multiple times she's turned her back to you, wondering if those are the moments you wait for to shower the boys in love, affection, words of praise, kisses, hugs—everything she wants from you but gets denied in a whine of protest.

It's a delusional thought, for sure; she doesn't even give you that much time alone to be able to try something like that with them. But, the more she indulges in the idea, the more irritated she gets. Not at you! At them.

Maybe she should try harder to get more quality time with you, skip a class or two to personally bond with you. She wants warm hugs and gentle kisses from your luxurious lips! You won't deny her for too much longer...right, cupcake~?

Iida. Tenya, Tenya, Tenya. What a methodical boy he is. I think of Pandora's box when I see him, especially when he's written as Yandere. Simple, even clean kept on the outside, but housing a house of horrors on the inside.

We truly get to see the berserk inside of him during the Stain arc. The way he behaved around the villain, the irrationality of the decision he made, I believe it was only a tiny glimpse at his true unhinged ways. And that's when he's in the Canon series! Not even a Yandere, and already so crazy! It just shows that he'd do anything for the people he loves. Even kill another human being.

I think he'd try so desperately to keep that psycho wrapped up, and he'd do a great job at it too! Collected, rational, the perfect stick-in-the-mud nerdy guy. He's cool with the arrangement of the three of them taking care of you. To be honest, there's no one he trusts more with your safety than his two closest friends. He always tells you that he's your knight in shining armor, and to come to him for anything you need assistance on. He will protect and provide.

However, his cheery attitude takes a sharp 180° turn when he finds you trying to escape one day. He'll get in your face, take you away from where you were trying to leave from, pin you to the wall, and scream in your face about how dangerous the situation was. About how badly you could have hurt yourself, how heartbroken and worried the three of them would have been, how you can never truly escape them since they'd—since he'd never give up looking for you. He’d leave you trembling in your boots when he’s done, possibly with fat tears streaming down your cheeks and actively seeking comfort from the other two because of how scary he'd become.

It'd take a while for Izuku and Uraraka to trust him being alone with you again. You were still shaken up after that night. But it wasn't because of the rough physical treatment he'd used, it wasn't the yelling, it was his eyes. They shifted so dramatically from the kind, understanding, deep sea blue to a searing steel gray in seconds. The eyes you grew to recognize, and sort of trust again, had become strangers in those slim ticks of time. His eyes reflected the mechanical drive of his bloodlust, his aggression.

He was more machine than man at that moment. A robot designed to keep you prisoner in their isolated vault.

And that thought alone was your true realization that leaving this mad trio was near, if not entirely, impossible.

Overall, I think their trio would work phenomenally well! It would be so sweet, so fluffy, as long as you behave. However, there is definitely some serious underlying jealously between the Yanderes that will have to be fixed. If it isn't...well, before long, they will tear each other apart from the inside out~!

i dont think that everyone who enjoys a piece of media needs to be writing 1000 word meta on its Totally Deep Themes TM or ~deconstructing its use of visual metaphors~ or whatever but as an aromantic person i think im more than a bit justified in complaining about how so much of fandom culture is centred around shipping to the point that finding content about the themes/narrative/character development/storytelling/etc for certain pieces of media rather than what two characters people think should be fucking is nigh impossible.

and i get that this wasn't what your original post was complaining about at all nor do i particularly think you were considering an aromantic perspective on this at all, which is fine, but i feel the need to make it very clear to you that not everyone who bitches about how fandoms are too obessed with shipping is some pseudo-intellectual wannabe media critic or a homophobic 'why cant two guys just be friends anymore? type, although those are obviously equally deeply annoying problems too

fandoms, and the world at large, could do with being far less romance centred. of course of im not arrogant enough to think that just because that shipping is one of, if not the most common type of fancontent then that must mean its the only way ppl enjoy media, but that doesnt make its overwhelming prevelance any less alienating or just straight up fucking irritating

dude i understand where you're coming from, but its not hard AT ALL to find content for the themes, narrative, character development, storytelling, etc for Disco Elysium. if you're not finding it on tumblr then i urge you to go looking for it on the internet because there's essays upon essays about all this, even video essays on youtube if you don't want to read.

as a disclaimer, i'm not saying nobody on earth is allowed to be peeved over people reducing DE characters to yaoibait, i think there's plenty to criticize there. from a gay perspective, a nonwhite perspective, an aromantic perspective, etc.

But the thing is that gay people are not going to stop making shipping content, and neither should they. when you encounter a fandom that is dominated by gay people you are going to have to deal with the fact that its going to have a lot of romance and sex and shipping in it because the homosexuality. it's not just because shipping is popular in all fandom spaces including among straight people, it's also because we're alienated from the heteronormative hegemony.

especially in the case for gay people in the third world, creating gay content is not only a form of coping but its one of the few ways we can empower ourselves while immersed in conservatism. and honestly i don't want it to stop! we need this. i don't know what that means to me re: the plight of aromantic people in fandom spaces, but if accommodating to everyone means gay people have to censor their own gay content or keep it cordoned off, untagged, hidden, then i don't want it. because for the longest time pre-2010 that was the status quo in fandom spaces. gay content was seen as fujoshi brainrot no matter where it came from. i'm glad it's not the case anymore and i'm not gonna act like i want it to go back to the way it was before.

With the Solider Poet and King being popular, I find joy in people using it for fandom and other things because it’s about Jesus’s second coming. They are listening to Jesus music unintentionally! Also a little peeved for the same reasons 😂

I don't know why you think I'm the Oh Hellos person around here when Laurelin, Kaylie, and o-lei-o-lai-o-lord are all sitting next to me haha. But yes! I do know exactly what you mean. It is a rather odd tension, isn't is?

I frequently feel just the same way about Narnia, LotR, hymns and sacred music, Biblical imagery - anything that comes from the sacred sphere, really. It's such a wonderful form of common grace that the secular world gets to experience anything sacred, and yet as a Christian it feels profane that they should get to twist and turn the sacred into the mundane. It's even worse when people actively profane that which is sacred.

If you'll allow me to pontificate a bit: one of my great formative experiences was a choir rehearsal I experienced as a high school freshman, maybe a month after becoming a member of the highest level ensemble in my long-time choral program. Our repertoire, at this point, happened to include a glorious setting of Psalm 8, "All That Hath Life and Breath Praise Ye the Lord," and Copland's "Zion's Walls." We were taking our halfway break and I was chatting with the other members of my section and one of the older girls (I may have been the youngest?) said something like, "I wish we didn't have to sing all this religious sh*t at the same time."

I (tiny Christian school, unaccustomed to dealing with The Secular even in choir, my one activity in which I was not surrounded by other Christians) did a double take and said something like, "Wait, you don't like the music we're singing?"

"No, I like the music. Copland's great. I just get tired of the religious sh*t after a while, don't you?"

And it was at that moment, I think, that I realized that she found the music beautiful in spite of the fact that it was sacred; I found it beautiful in large part because it was sacred.

That's a hard tension to exist with. I was actually really angry after that incident because I felt like these other choir members were hypocrites, singing things that they not only didn't believe, but actively called "sh*t." I was furious.

And yet, through common grace, those girls got to sing praise to God without ever knowing it. They got to do the very thing for which they were created - to glorify God and enjoy Him - and that is a beautiful, beautiful thing.

Everyone using "Soldier, Poet, King" for their fandom stuff is just the same. They get to experience the sacred, and perhaps even to glorify God. They're doing the most human thing in the world, after a fashion.

I have the tiniest fort at the seaside now, just an outpost, aquifiers everywhere, 13 dwarfs. And to secure the entrance (and also to dig deeper, duh, we're dwarfs here) it first goes down a nice hole in the ground with a slope several levels deep. Normal stuff.

Only now I have these merchants who've been stuck since year one because a dingo man scared them. And they're all depressed by now and some of them dead (they have memorials set up. so sad. killed by NOT FUCKING LEAVING and the local wildlife). And ever so often I get the "There's a fight going on!!" alert symbol and I go "nooo I have only 13 dwarfs".

And then I checked.

And it's Urist McSlipperyslope. Who is stumbling around obliviously. Falling into my entrance hole over and over again. And then just crawling back out at some point. To repeat it over and over again.

Now I keep thinking about my fort and how "that one dude who keeps falling down the slope" might just be a normal part of their lives and lore. Like how every human town IRL has this one person everyone knows because they're a bit. peculiar. and like try to hand you their pamphlets in front of the mall. About their pet peeve or their book or aliens controlling the pollination processes of the trees and so they specifically are targeted with hay fever. You get it.

And in my fort. It's Urist McSlipperyslope.

"He's been here since we've been here. He mumbles about the dingo men in the bushes a lot and also the rain being annoying. He doesn't eat or drink or sleep. He just wanders. Sometimes he falls down the slope. Yeah, don't mind him, he doesn't want our help. It's sad, really. Anyway, for dinner is Horse Tripe Roast, yes, with finely minced horse milk."

Hi, I followed you because you have a lot to say about jin guangyao and I enjoy reading it. When I first watched cql I thought he was an enetertaining and satisfying villain both to watch and also to watch being taken down in the end. Such drama! Much style! Then I read a lot of meta about him and watched the show again and realised how much he was being set up as a villain without there being much truth there. The more I read/thought about this, the more interesting and sympathetic I found him.

I am still reading more and more points which point out ways in which the ending and jin guangyao's portrayal is misleading - like the post today pointing out that nmj didn't know that jgy had a part in his death, for example. nmj apparently just hated jgy by the end of his life and that was why his fierce corpse kept attacking jgy. I am a little skeptical about that last part - it may be true but I can't help but feel that the hatred was pretty equally shared around which makes blaming any one party pretty pointless.

I really enjoy jgy as a character. I also enjoy nmj and jzx (who you were vague blogging about today) and tbh I love pretty much the whole cast minus a few obvious dickbags like jgs. Before I take what these posts have to say at face value, I guess I wanted to know, how much do you dislike nmj and jzx? Neither the nmj post nor your jzx post come across as though they are characters you (or op) like. I personally love them and as much as I want to learn about jgy and see different sides, I don't really want to read a lot of negative content about characters I love - especially if it's not written in a way that is particularly balanced.

I hope this does not come across as impolite or disrespectful. I think I am feeling a bit defensive but I don't want to be rude or for you to feel upset or angry. The obvious thing to do is for me to say I should agree to disagree and just unfollow if it's too much but that always feels so drastic to me - maybe I am misreading/reading in bad faith!

first of all, i definitely think JGY also hates NMJ by the end. absolutely mutual hatred there, stemming from a range of reasons, justified and otherwise.

i definitely reblog some stuff from people who actively dislike NMJ, so I wouldn't blame you at all for unfollowing me if you don't want to see that! i actually really like him-- i watched CQL first and totally bought it when the Wens lied and said he was dead and was really sad! i think his structural role is so interesting, and in many ways the story only works if he is both a guy you don't know much about, but think is pretty cool from what you do know. then you find out things that paint him in a far less flattering light, but there's a kind of tragedy in that.

i actually quite like jin zixuan as well. again, CQL first, i loved his moment with the swords at evil wen summer camp, this unexpected proof of how his pride could be a good thing, and in fact had some courage to go along with it. i was so so shocked and sad when he died!

what makes me occasionally get salty about NMJ and JZX both (and again, that totally happens, and i don't blame you at all for not wanting to see that) is honestly over-exposure to fanon takes on them, which i feel are overly simplistic and smooth over the things that make them interesting in favor of making them just really nice, stand-up guys. for NMJ in particular, i think you'll often see JGY fans going extra hard on all the things that are bad about NMJ because they/we feel like we're always implicitly pushing back against fandom's love of him with reminders that he did bad things, too.

the JZX thing is just a total personal pet peeve honestly-- i think he's fun and interesting because he's probably not the nicest or most generous person, but he is ride or die for this one lady and, by extension, sometimes her family. but if he was out here wanting to become besties with jin guangyao, he had a whole year+ to do that and... did not do that. that's okay!! he's a more interesting character for being an imperfect guy!!

my favorite characters are lan wangji, jin guangyao, and jiang cheng-- i like my little guys to be an absolute mess and a bit mean and to not make good choices. throw in the desire to-- not exactly defend JGY, but to resist the parts of fandom that paint him as a 2D villain, and the accompanying attempts to discuss/remind people of the ways those characters hurt JGY/are maybe not such good people because of how they treated him, things can absolutely take on a tone where it seems like characters like NMJ and JZX are being disparaged. but for me, i like them more for being imperfect.

Irissë was curled up in a chair in the sitting room, reading a book on the Great Journey and ignoring the sound of her brother pacing overhead, when someone began rapping sharply on the door.

“Irissë, can you get that?” Findekáno called.

She put her book down with a sigh. “I'm coming,” she said as she neared the door. She yanked it open with a huff, but her irritation changed quickly to surprise when she saw Elenwë standing on the steps. Her horse, Tinwë, stood unsaddled on the lawn a few strides away.

“We're going riding, Irissë,” Elenwë said. “Come on.”

Irissë looked Elenwë up and down. Her long, golden hair was loose and windblown, she wore no cloak or shoes, and dust coated the hem of her dress, cut high to accommodate her swelling stomach.

“Right,” she said. “Give me 30 seconds.” Ducking back inside, she hurriedly tied her hair back and shoved her boots on. As she laced them up, she shouted up the stairs, “Káno! I'm going riding with Elenwë – not sure when we'll be back!”

“Irissë,” Findekáno shouted back, clearly peeved, “you said you'd be home today! I wanted to--”

Whatever he'd wanted to do was lost as she left the room, pulled the kitchen door shut behind her, and jogged the few yards to the stable. Nórimo champed and pawed at the straw when he saw her. “Ready for a good hard ride, boy?” she asked, rubbing his nose. “I don't think Elenwë is planning a trip to the market.” She looked at his saddle and bridle on the wall as she unlatched his stall, shrugged, and led him out bare before mounting up.

“Ammë would have fits if she saw that,” she said when she reached the front of the house, pointing to the fish pond. “Good thing she's not home.”

Elenwë followed her finger and saw Tinwë drinking placidly as the fish darted to and fro around her nose. “Oh dear,” she said, bringing a hand to her mouth as she blushed. “I didn't even notice!”

Irissë laughed. “It's all right. But let's go before Káno decides to come after us.”

Elenwë nodded and mounted Tinwë, and they headed out of the city.

“Race you to the willow,” Elenwë challenged, once they had reached the hills outside of Tirion.

“You're on,” Irissë said, leaning forward over Nórimo's neck with a broad grin.

The horses thundered over the hills to Irissë's favorite tree, a great, sweeping willow whose boughs drooped all the way to the ground, creating a perfect screen for whomever chose to sit beneath it. She had spent many afternoons there with her cousins and, more recently, her sister-in-law, who had turned out to be wilder than she seemed at first glance.

Glancing to the side, Irissë saw that Elenwë was beginning to pull ahead. “Wow, look at that!” Irissë cried, pointing to a random spot in the air.

“What?” Elenwë craned her neck, looking around wildly for whatever Irissë had noticed, and Irissë took advantage of her distraction to urge Nórimo forward with a whoop.

“Hey!” Elenwë shouted behind her as she reached the tree, “you cheated!”

“You fell for it!” Irissë said, laughing. She swung to the ground and gave Nórimo a pat on the neck, letting him loose to graze.

Elenwë stuck out her tongue as she, too, dismounted, pushing her tangled hair out of her face. Flopping onto the ground, she let out a deep sigh. “It's so nice to be able to breathe,” she said. “I was going crazy in that house. I feel like no one has anything to do but fuss over me these days.”

“It's that bad?” Irissë asked, lying on her stomach beside her sister-in-law. She reached over and began to play with a few strands of Elenwë's hair.

Elenwë smiled at her touch. “They can't agree on anything – your mother tells me to eat beans, my mother tells me to eat lots of spinach but no meat, Meldalossë says spinach and beans are good but that I shouldn't avoid meat, and Turvo treats me like I'll break if anyone so much as looks at me oddly.”

“Small wonder you're so stressed.”

“And the worst bit--” Elenwë stopped, blushing furiously, and said quickly, “You can't tell anyone I said this.”

Irissë nodded solemnly. “You know I won't.”

“I know,” Elenwë acknowledged. “But the worst bit – the worst bit is that we've done nothing more than kiss since I told him I was pregnant!”

“You've-- wait, why?” Irissë stared. “He's crazy about you! What is he worried about?”

“He's terrified that we'll hurt the baby somehow if we do anything,” Elenwë snorted. “It's ridiculous.” She rolled onto her side so she could look up at Irissë's face. “I even thought about asking Meldalossë to tell him that it's nonsense! But she's so stern – I'd be embarrassed. And I don't know that he would listen to her. She is very close to your uncle's family.”

“That should be a good thing, shouldn't it?” Irissë asked, reaching over and rubbing Elenwë's shoulders. Elenwë relaxed under her hands, and Irissë smiled. “Meldalossë's overseen sixteen pregnancies just between Miriel, Haruni, Ammë, and Aunt Nerdanel, and at least a dozen more outside the family. She knows what she's doing.”

Elenwë was silent for a moment. “Turvo-- look, you can't repeat this to anyone, either,” she finally said. “Turvo is really worried about your uncle. He's afraid that Fëanáro is going to try to do your father harm, and maybe the rest of your family as well. And I don't want him to start thinking he can't trust Meldalossë to take care of me.”

“Uncle Fëanáro wouldn't do that,” Irissë said, with more confidence than she felt. “He wouldn't dare.”

Elenwë snorted. “I don't think there's anything he wouldn't dare if he thought it would serve a purpose. He frightens me, Irissë. Even you can't deny that he's been volatile lately.”

“No,” she said, quietly. “You're right. And – well, I haven't seen Curvo much, now that he's married, but Tyelkormo has been odd as well. Evasive. More quick-tempered, too, and that's saying something. Even Káno and Maitimo had a fight a few days ago. I can't even remember them ever fighting before. But look,” she said, moving closer to Elenwë, “let's not talk about this now. We can't do anything about Uncle Fëanáro, but I can solve one of your other problems, if you want me to.”

“Oh?” Elenwë asked. “Which problem is that?”

In answer, Irissë leaned in and kissed her gently on the lips.

“Oh,” Elenwë said softly, looking up with wide grey eyes. Irissë's breath caught in her chest, and she caressed Elenwë's breasts through her dress.

“We don't have to,” she said, swallowing.

“No, I think I like this solution,” Elenwë whispered. She reached up and pulled Irissë closer for another kiss, loosening her hair from its tie.

When Irissë lifted Elenwë's skirt and slid her hand up between her thighs, Elenwë's soft moan seemed like the most glorious sound she'd ever heard.

“Feeling a bit better?” Irissë asked afterwards.

“I think so,” Elenwë said, laughing a little. They were sprawled beneath the tree, Elenwë's head resting on Irissë's stomach as Irissë deftly worked some of the tangles from Elenwë's hair. “Better enough that I can go home tonight and not feel like screaming. That's something.”

“We can always do this again,” Irissë said, trying to sound casual. “You know, if you start feeling too stressed.”

Elenwë reached up a hand and caught Irissë's fingers with her own. “I think,” she said, “that I'd like that very much.”

Hii would you mind doing a romantic Hazbin Hotel match up? My pronouns are She/They and I am bisexual! I am most definitely a people pleaser and accommodate my personality and sense of humor based on who I'm around. But I'm also an ambivert, when I don't see any of my friends or are with new people, I tend to be more quiet and distant but when I'm with my friends, I joke around, and get loud. I love drawing, making bracelets, painting, just being with my cat, and listening to music. It all brings me a sense of comfort in some way. My pet peeves are definitely loud chewing, loud typing, and just mouth noises. Other information is that I HATE people talking about me or my friends right next to us as if we can't hear them. Being an overlord she's out quite often but she tries to take you along if you'd like or make up some time for you and her to spend together

If anyone starts talking about you both when she's around she most likely has 10x the gossip on them and will threaten to spill the tea if they keep being jerks to you guys

Carmine is also a semi-active muse in my brain that unfortunately I'd have to debate about bringing him back since his fandom is dead in the RPC. Being part of some really niche fighting game isn't helpful for his case, I think.

― RP PET PEEVES? One-sided engagement - if I am throwing ideas at you and you're constantly give me the textbook equivalent of a nod, then I'll take it as a sign to spend my time elsewhere.

Getting ideas lifted off my muses or lore, which is super noticeable if someone's interacted with me and shortly after they start having similar ideas of their own. Inspiration is one thing, but it can just be incredibly frustrating when you have it happen to you in ways that you can't tell if it's them getting inspired or them having no creativity and using you as a stepping stone.

People not reading my rules or the information I have up, which isn't to say they need to memorize EVERYTHING. But essential things, I will notice. The first litmus test of following my blog is if you unironically refer to my character as Cillian OOC. I would probably just hardblock at that point, as it shows you didn't read my carrd enough to make a distinction.

― EXPERIENCE / HOW MANY YEARS? I have dabbled a bit in RPing on DeviantART from 2011-2012, but on Tumblr, I started in 2012-2013 with a different muse in a completely different fandom and in a different era of RPing. Judas was my second ever major blog that I made. Occasionally I look back at his very first blog, so what I'm building here is a recreation of those times. If you know you know.

― FLUFF, ANGST, OR SMUT? I have a big preference for angst, but can definitely do fluff. Can't write smut for a few reasons, but also it's just hard to write it.

― PLOTS OR MEMES? I prefer some plotting but can absolutely just wing it too! I definitely prefer memes for interaction, since there's little pressure to keep it going into a thread if we want and it serves as points of engagement imo.

― ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S)? I used to think I had almost nothing in common with Judas but. We absolutely are more alike than meets the eye. Deep down, we're both petty and do things for Spite and Attention lmfao. A lot of the aesthetic I enjoy is also shoved onto him. Cillian shares my aesthetic for outfits and my love for collecting plushies, but nothing really more beyond that. Ronan has my love for extremely bland, white people food. Hilariously enough, I see the most of myself in Carmine despite him technically being a canon muse. Both of us have no idea what the hell is going on at all times, and all we know is that we're bored and pissed off and need to blow off steam. Also the color red. And blood.

NAME: currently we mostly go by Wilds on here, though I (the host) am uh... between names, ha. went through some shit this year that i'm pretty sure triggered a host change/a new host split SO.

PRONOUNS: they/them collectively. it/its too if we're friends i think. it's complicated. host also uses she/her and (rarely, these days) he/him but again... complicated...

MOST ACTIVE MUSES: i mean. the corinthian, obviously, but which Flavour of him i want to write really depends on the day... over on my multimuse it varies WILDLY and often just depends on if there's a particular plot point or theme i'm rotating in my head a bunch.

RP PET PEEVES: look if i get into that here someone's gonna snipe me from the rooftops or something for having an honest feeling in public. i don't like lack of communication (or the passive aggression that comes with it), people feeling entitled to my time/attention/replies, or anyone making me feel obligated to do anything ever tbh.

EXPERIENCE / HOW MANY YEARS: i've been RPing for like uhhh... 17-18 years at this point. jesus.

PLOTS OR MEMES: hmm... it's sort of both. i honestly like ic asks most of all: not memes, but not threads either. i like having a sort of 'foundation' to work off of and going back and forth with it, but i can only really plot extensively with someone when i've gotten to know them well. i LOVE memes but i tend to need a lot of them because if you only send one there's a solid 80% chance i won't have an answer in mind KJNSDJKNSDF

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: medium i guess! i need to get comfortable doing short as hell replies again but i always worry people will take it as a lack of interest. i don't tend to do suuuper long replies because i have trouble remembering everything i've written lmfao

IDEAL TIME TO WRITE: somehow, 3-4am. i am rarely AWAKE during those hours right now but it's still just peak writing hours for me, probably due to lack of distractions.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S)?: baby i'm not even like myself. but in all seriousness, i feel like as a writer you're always gonna be putting bits and pieces of yourself into your characters - particularly for RP which is a much more uh, 'close contact' form of writing, i feel? i can separate myself very well from my characters when writing fic or other stories, but RP i feel requires you to step into their shoes a lot more often and more consistently... so yknow. anyway man i have DID you'd better believe there are pieces of lots of us in all of our characters. good luck guessing where they are (it isn't hard).

MOST ACTIVE MUSE(S)?　Faye lol. Idk why I ever try RPing others. I'll be good for a while but I always come back to this idiot

◈　RP PET PEEVES?　I have a few but of course, I don't remember the majority now that I'm asked about it. But the main one is when I see someone complaining about not getting any interactions or anything and you and others have been liking starter/plot calls or sending memes over and over and nothing ever comes from it. In my own personal experience, the person crying about not getting interactions is only looking for it with a certain follower(s) but won't try and initiate the interaction. It's understandable if you legit are struggling for interactions and you get crickets but when it's clear people are trying to interact...man that grinds my gears. It's extremely inconsiderate and I usually bounce when I see that. Another thing is one-sided plotting/RPing. I usually always try and come up with a few ideas, even if they're basic or the usual trope because sometimes they turn into something exciting but this also depends on both people being open to trying to keep it moving. It's no fun when one person isn't giving anything to work with. Though, sometimes one person will have a good idea and can lead but again it needs some help from the other person. I have others I'm sure, but these are the two main ones. I like to think I'm pretty chill.

EXPERIENCE / HOW MANY YEARS　Close to 2 decades probably. I've been RPing since gaiaonline and AOL/Skype

FLUFF, ANGST, OR SMUT　 All of it, I think there's a time and place for each. I do tend to prefer angst because I love character development and pushing characters to their breaking points and seeing them go beyond their limits or reacting in high-stress situations. I love it when they discover new things about themselves. Fluff is fun for shorter threads when you need something light hearted in between the angst lol. And then smut...well I'm so out of practice I refuse to even have it on my main blog lol. I don't need to embarrass myself. I think it's fine and fun but I do get tired of it if that's all there is. Again, I'm here for the character development.

PLOTS OR MEMES　 Either. I don't have a preference but I try and see what my partners prefer. Sometimes things work better when you plot things out so you have an idea to follow but sometimes, especially with new interactions its easier to just have a random meme. I also feel like sometimes it may take a few tries before you find the right thing that clicks for a good thread or character interaction.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES　 Depends on the day. Sometimes it's nice to have a shorter reply but I do admit sometimes they're hard for me to do because I want to make sure there's enough going on to keep a thread going. But sometimes the brain just doesn't want to work so longer threads, even if I'm super excited for it just don't happen.

TIME TO WRITE　Whenever I get the chance lol. Sometimes its easier in the morning because I haven't used all my brain power but its so rare I can even do so I take what I can get.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S)　As far as Faye? Uhh...only a little bit lol. Mainly just her love of the ocean and space and the fact we're both red heads. But she's way more wild/reckless than I am and gives less fucks about what others think or say about her. She also is always looking for trouble to get into while I prefer to fly under the radar. My other muse I currently play on a different blog is also a level headed doctor so I guess with him we're both chill and love pineapple lmao. Even characters in the past I've only shared one or two things. I dunno, I deal with myself on the daily and would rather explore something different than myself. Obviously, I need some things to align so I can understand the character but eh.

EXPERIENCE: OOoh boy buckle up. I used to RP WAAAAAAAY back in the day in a chatroom called animechatroom I think (I was like...10 ok). Then I moved from there to GaiaOnline in middle school. And I RP'd in the forums on Gaia until the end of my freshman year of high school where I started on tumblr with my bestie irl. I had a humanized Rainbow Dash blog from MLP: Friendship is Magic. If any of you have been around since then and know me from back then, my url was theloyalrainbow. I took a break for a few years to focus on college, and now I'm back! So over all, roughly 20 years of experience.

PREFERRED ROLEPLAY TYPE: I prefer novella-type RP. No topic is really off-limits for me, but I do adjust my own descriptions and subjects for whatever my partners prefer. My strengths as a writer lie in combat, conflict, and angst. I'm open to writing any and all moments though!

PET PEEVES & DEALBREAKERS: I have a few things to list and explain!

I have a harder time with threads that aren't plotted. They don't have to be super extensive, I just need enough of a direction to go on so that things don't get stale.

I would prefer that we at least chat a bit before actually starting to RP. It hasn't happened to me yet, but I likely won't respond to starter posts that haven't been discussed with me prior to seeing it pop up on my dashboard.

PLOTS OR MEMES: I highly prefer plots over memes! But that doesn't mean we can't meme on the side! Just know that plots will get more attention than memes!

LONG REPLIES OR SHORT REPLIES: As you've probably already noticed, I tend to write fucking novels with most of my threads. I don't expect anyone to ever match my length, but I need something to work with more than a single paragraph or a handful of sentences. I get really excited about Cyra interacting with other muses and I can't help myself when it comes to telling stories.

BEST TIME TO WRITE: Honestly, whenever I'm awake and not playing games or working on art. You could message me at any point in the day and I will respond the moment I see the notification pop up.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSES: I firmly believe that I've taken a few aspects of myself and exaggerated them a bit to better fit my idea of who Cyra is as an individual and using my own lived experiences to help me write her better. Not everything she does is something I would do, and not everything I would do is something she would do. A lot of her personality is inspired from multiple sources, but her desire to help people is one thing that is definitely derived from myself. If anything, Cyra is more like my cats than me. XD
