Azuki Nagamitsu

Azuki takes one goddamn look at this baby saniwa and is immediately claiming it as his child. Yes he’ll fight the entire citadel to stake his claim, he’s signing the adoption papers right now. No you cannot stop him. He can and will hold all of these children. He has big enough and strong enough arms.

“Pray tell, little one, do you like sweet things?”

“!!!”

Oh Azuki is a bit of an enabler. He does cook and bake a lot so expect him to sneak a lot of sweets and stuff to the lil kid. He already does it with the little ones around the citadel but even more so if he has a close relationship with the child saniwa. Yes he will ensure that they eat healthy and go to bed on time and maybe he’ll bribe them with sweets to finish their chores on time and all but hey, he does care for them a lot!

Azuki always calls them adorable, cute, and so on and so forth. He adores kids and maybe he has a photo album of adorable pictures of the lil saniwa and the rest of the kids around the citadel just napping together and sleeping together and holding hands and being cute, no he’s not crying.

HIs favorite thing to do with the kid is to go shopping with them! Holding their hand as they walk through whatever aisles they are looking at. Yes maybe he’ll sneak some of their favorite treats into the shopping cart, and maybe he’ll have to curb the child’s habit of snacking on everything but he caves in the end. He’s weak to their puppy eyes. Please help him, he might not be strong enough.

Is that one parent at a recital or something of their child’s with a video camera, crying, and screaming: “YOU’RE DOING AMAZING SWEETIE”

Azuki isn’t much of a fighter, it doesn’t mean he won’t fucking throw down with the government though. Watch him invite them over for a spot of tea and if they even make a damn negative comment about his master he’ll probably drop some poison in there. No he won’t he’ll just hug the kid closer to him and be that one meme of protecting Kevin Hart.

Azuki is already giving out head pats to all of the kids in the citadel, but to the Saniwa he’s rather physically affectionate. If they want a hug, they can get one. If they wanna hold hands? Hell yeah! Forehead kisses? Damn right he will. Loves giving them head pats and calling them a good kid the most.

Yes he will read them a bedtime story and of course it’s always ones filled with good morals and life lessons!

Azuki is also damn good with sewing. He will make little scarves, and patch up the clothing for the saniwa and even make some clothing for them! He loves it when they are warm and comfy in whatever clothing they like!

Yes Azuki spoils them rotten but he knows his limits. He is the typical overly proud dad who is happy whenever his kid is happy!

Ichigo Hitofuri

The minute Ichi-nii sees this lil kid is his master, he is already bending down to their level and asking where the fuck are their parents. He’s a bit shocked to see someone so young to be his master but he won’t mind. He does have a LOT of little brothers after all! He can take care of them, adding another lil sibling into the bunch won’t hurt anyone!

Adoption papers? Signed? Awataguchi? Accepting of their new sibling. Government? uNFORTUNATELY STILL ALIVE. He knows what it’s like to have trauma and some of his lil bros do have quite a bit of it. Honebami, Yagen to name a few, and pushing such a duty on to such a young person like this...Ichigo won’t lie and say that he isn’t angry at the government for doing this. They don’t deserve this, why can’t they live their life out as a normal kid????

Oh Ichigo has experience in taking care of children and his brothers will also pitch in to make sure that the Saniwa is loved for and taken cared of! They have an army of tantous, two wakizashis, and a tachi at their beck and call now. No one is going to hurt them ever again.

Like Azuki, Ichigo adores children and this little saniwa is no different. Yes he’s rather stern at times and he doesn’t like raising his voice at them but he does need to be a guiding hand at times. He would never hurt them, and he just wants the best for them. He may get angry at them and scold them but he is doing it gently.

Yes the little saniwa is going to get roped into AWT48. Ichigo will personally help them sing and dance as well! If they have stage fright, no worries! He’s happy to still perform for them none the less.

Cuddles. Oh man this little saniwa is never going to be without physical affection. From Ichigo’s cuddles and head pats to the rest of the Toushirous just loving on the kid and random hugs outta nowhere, this kid is going to be so loved. 

Ichigo can kinda cook? Not as good as like Kasen or Azuki or anything but he’ll at least make something edible. Probably some instant stuff from a box, more like it. He can decorate it super good though!

If the kid has nightmares, Ichigo is the first to wake up and comfort them. His bros have nightmares a lot and he’s a light sleeper anyway, so he can relate to that - and is always there for them!

Bedtime stories with morals and lessons? Of course! Duh! It’s a group storytime! All day every day!

Ichigo is the big brother everyone wants. The caring big bro who will take a bullet for you, and will probably have some choice words for the government. He cares for you as a parent would, and is just always there!

Horikawa Kunihiro

“....Ah, a second child to take care of.”

Horikawa already has a child on his hands kane-san and he’s already pretty motherly so adopting a kid like this isn’t too out of his range. He’s a lot gentler with them than he is with Kane-san, but no less strict.

No he cannot trust Kane-san around this child. ONe time he left them alone and the kid was stuck in a tree and Kane-san had a broken leg trying to save the damn kid. He will only let them interact under his or another sword’s supervision. Can and will fight Kane-san just to protect this kid.

As Horikawa is good at cleaning, he always tends to the kid’s room and helps them wake up on time. He will most likely be the hawk mum, watching over them with every change he can get to ensure that they are doing their work on time.

He won’t spoil them as much as Ichigo or Azuki would, but he would praise them and reward them in his own way! Mostly with praise and a head pat and a forehead kiss if they’ve been extra good! Yes he’ll cook for them and give them treats but nothing super duper big.

The minute the saniwa calls him Hori-nii or something he will cry. Hell he’ll take being called mom. He doesn’t mind! He’s just happy that he can be there for them!

Oh dude Horikawa will spoil them not with food but with lil things! A flower from the forest, a lil trinket from the store as he passed by, so on and so forth! He knows his limits though.

Yes Horikawa will not hesitate to storm the government building and demand to see whoever the fuck is in charge. He wants to know who the fuck was responsible for this. This is a literal CHILD, where are their PARENTS. Who aLLOWED THIS? Horikawa is now this child’s mom.

He’s like that mom that panics whenever the kid goes missing for like one second. There’s a lot of dangerous things the kid could get into (see the tree incident) and if they get hurt, expect Horikawa to be at their side quicker than Hasebe. Hell he can beat Hasebe in speed and in over-protectiveness, dO NOT TEST THIS YOUNG MAN.

Is also that one mom that is at the kid’s recital, crying joyous tears of pride as they perform. Always has a camera on him to capture such a beautiful moment.

Yes Horikawa is the mom friend and he will not hesitate to become the mom to this saniwa. He will ensure that they go to bed on time and keep them healthy. Will wake them up on time and just be that one parent who is always a presence in their life, knowing when to back away but keeping in touch. Like having ya mum as ya best friend!!!

Mikazuki Munechika, Ichigo Hitofuri, and Kogarasumaru Being Parental Figure to Saniwa (GN!Reader)

♡ Mikazuki is an amazing person to have as a parental figure. He is kind and laid back. He would never judge you on whatever you have questions about and listen to them wholeheartedly.

♡ However he does have a problem at picking the right moments to tell one of his jokes. Sometimes, when he sees you upset, he will try to make a lighthearted joke to make you smile... Sometimes it may come off like he may not care but he does!

♡ He is also someone who wouldn't give you the answer you are looking for right away.

♡ He will beat around the bush and hint at things but he wants you to come to the answer yourself. Sometimes even letting you make mistakes for you to learn. He knows learning is hard but he wants you to be able to accept any mistakes you may come upon and be able to keep moving onto the future.

♡ If you need moral support, he is there with his favorite tea and some snacks.

♡ Mikazuki can be pretty scary at times since he can read people like the book. He will explain exactly what you did wrong but what though process made you come to that conclusion.

♡ All the while never demeaning you. He is very old and made plenty of mistakes himself. It would be hypocritical of him if he chastised you over making a mistake.

♡ Being human means making mistakes and learning from them to become a better you every day.

♡ He knows it's a hard pill to swallow and it hurts even more when that mistake involves others getting hurt along the way.

♡ But he is there with his hot tea, ready to wipe any tears you may shed along the way with his gentle smile.

♡ Even if there are days where you think you are not growing and becoming a better person, he is there to remind you how proud he is of you for continuing and not giving up.

♡ After all, change is never a straight line. It's a line with many bumps along the way and sometimes you may even fall backwards at times.

♡ He is there through it all, ready to catch you when you fall back and feel like you can't get up again.

♡ Ichigo is much kinder than Mikazuki in regards of telling you advice. Mikazuki wouldn't offer an opinion, instead letting you make your own. Ichigo will give his intake!

♡ If Ichigo thinks your plan may not be the best and you should fall back and change it up, he is the first one to say it.

♡ It's all out of care. It's not because he doesn't trust your instincts on your choices but rather wants you to see other sides of the situation as well to make sure your choices are thought out thoroughly.

♡ You may even grow a little irritated with him if it happens often because you may doubt his trust in your abilities.

♡ If you go through with your first plan and it does come out as a failure, you may see Ichigo a little heated under the collar for not listening but that quickly will change if he sees you just as beat up over it.

♡ He would gently pat your head and give a princely smile he is always known for, telling you it's okay and that it isn't the end of the world. You can try again.

♡ Ichigo will understand that he needs to hear you out more and will change that in the future, asking questions and making sure he understands all sides to your point before telling you to take it back to the drawing board.

♡ As an older brother to many siblings, he is very protective. Sometimes a little too much so and it will feel suffocating.

♡ He will work on that and let you make your own choices as well without his word. Especially if it's something he may not have too much knowledge about. He trusts you but sometimes he wants to be safe than sorry.

♡ Ichigo gives the best hugs. If you are ever upset about something that happened or a mistake you made, he will wrap you in his arms and give soothing circles on your back as he hushes your cries.

♡ You may even find yourself falling asleep in his arms from how calming it is.

♡ He wouldn't dare wake you and instead be perfectly still until you come to. Putting a finger to his lips if anyone comes in to not wake you.

♡ Ichigo is the best at emotional support and advice out of everything and will play as therapist at times where he will make you lay down and he would sit next to you as he asks you questions.

♡ If he thinks you did really well that day, he gives you a candy! The big brother spirit never goes away with him...

♡ Kogarasumaru is a mix between the both of them. He is very kind and will give advice but also won't spell it out for you.

♡ You will find he actually has a catchphrase whenever you go to him for advice; "What may this father help you with?"

♡ He is the father of all the swords but in turn, will also take the position as your father at times. Being caring and trying to give the best advice he can to the young one under his wing.

♡ Kogarasumaru has a soft heart and can't handle seeing others cry.

♡ If you cry in front of him, he is handing you a handkerchief and sliding right next to you to rub your arm.. all the while saying "Oh dear.."

♡ Kogarasumaru has been around a long time so he is able to read others just as well as Mikazuki and have a fair share of battlefield knowledge at his disposal.

♡ Unlike Mikazuki, who would let you figure it out on your own, he would offer comments on how other people may be feeling due to certain actions to help you determine your reaction to situations.

♡ He understands that people can be hard to understand, especially in the heat of the moment. So he is there to be the neutral force to help calm the storm within your head all with his elegant smile.

�� He never undermines you for things you may not be aware of. The learning journey starts somewhere for everyone, no matter how young or old they are. You showing interest in wanting to learn is enough for him to give his wisdom.

♡ Kogarasumaru will seem a little foolish at times where he will show his array of information about battle tactics and the compassion he has for the human emotions... But not understand how to get a fruit out of a tree.

♡ As long as you show as much respect for him, he will always hold you highly in his heart. He is willing to learn just as much as you are.

♡ You are a child he wishes to protect the most from hurt... But knows that he can't protect you from everything.

♡ He will always be there when you need him. His soothing advice and tissues for you whenever you find yourself needing them.

One Punch Meister

This is quite random, but it made me laugh so hard - something I’ve been sorely needing.

I was chatting with Atorier while she started a new otome title, Yumekuro (Dream Meister and the Recollected Black Fairy). It’s one of those collect-all-the-cool-guys gacha games, and the characters - Meisters - are each associated with a Fairy who boosts their powers and whatnot. 

Naturally (and as you may know if you’ve seen some of my old posts), one of the things we like to do when we explore a new thing together is look at the character designs from a position of complete ignorance and be playfully “judgey”. We assess and discuss designs, guess personalities and what aspects are being played up, and so on. It’s entertaining and also works our own character design philosophizing, inspiring, thinking muscles.

So I was clicking around the official site and checking out the character bios, and I came across this fairy.

I was like, haha, he looks like Genos from One Punch Man, and his name is even Machina! Ha ha, so amusing.

After a while I clicked onto the Meister he's associated with. 

This is Cyrus, the Moon Knight.  

You’ll notice in this screenshot the text I highlighted in blue, showing that his voice actor is Furukawa Makoto.

I burst out laughing. I listened to his voice files and then I squinted at the name and then copied it and looked it up several times because I kept thinking, It’s late. I must be imagining this or I must have misread it... I was so amused. This must have been planned/intentional!

Anyways, Atorier is very pleased because she managed to gacha both Cyrus and Emilio the Sun Knight together. (Emilio’s seiyuu, also perhaps not so coincidentally, is Tamaru Atsushi - her favourite Touken Ranbu character, the princely Ichigo Hitofuri). It was meant to be!

My girls - Ichigo (left, DDH-07) and Kuwana (right, DDH-06) who are my current RP muses.

Ichigo is based on a gender-flipped AU human version of Ichigo Hitofuri from Touken Ranbu. She does not have amnesia and so she’s basically Tenka Hitofuri and is a rather sassy princess~!

Kuwana is based on Kuwana Gou from Tenka Hyakken. She’s been AU’d into Touken Ranbu and Tonbokiri is her husband~! That buff teddy bear bread squishie she’s holding represents Tonbo! XDD He is her buff teddy bear~ :3c

Kuwana should actually be taller than Ichigo. Kuwana is 5′ 6″ in canon while I imagine (girl) Ichigo to be around 5′ 4″. (Original boy Ichigo is 5′ 8″ in canon.) I do have a DDS body for Ichigo which is shorter than the DDdy body Kuwana is on but... I didn't like how Ichigo looked on the DDS body so I put her on a DD body instead.

Anyway, that’s how they ended up being roughly the same height in doll form!

3. Which starter sword did you pick? What is he doing now? I chose Mutsu because he’s great.  He’s currently somewhere in the high seventies level-wise; unfortunately, he’s been outshined in strength by a crew of tachi, an extremely popular jackass, a holy sword, and a ghost-killer, but he sometimes goes out on expeditions and front lines stuff anyway.  I imagine he’s trying to bring the Internet to the Citadel.  (Terrible life choice.)

6. Without considering the performance of the swords, which type of sword do you prefer?  Hmmmm... ignoring the gameplay aspects of the swords it’s a tie between the wakizashi, uchigatana, and tachi.  There are just too many great swords!  (With gameplay I’d choose wakis and ootachi.)

10. Have you ever done anything weird to your swords?  Well, I have a habit of feeding Ichigo Hitofuri duplicates of his brothers... and there’s the time I fed Nikkari a duplicate Ishikirimaru... I’m considering, just for grins, making a team that’s all of the Shinsengumi swords plus Mutsu.  The amount of pure rage would probably scare off even the Kebiishi.  A themed team of swords that hate fighting (e.g. Ishikirimaru, Juzumaru, Kousetsu) would be fun and viable, if sadistic; besides, I don’t even have Juzu or Kousetsu.  (This is not counting the shitposts, as those are outside of the game, but making Souza into a magical girl was pretty damn weird.)

12: Who loses troops the most in your Citadel? And who is the most skilled at making troops?  I haven’t really been keeping track of the latter (although I’m guessing Shokudaikiri is among the best at making troops, given that what I can remember of his track record is solid) but the former is a weird question only because of how frequently I use a wakizashi in places I probably shouldn’t.  (Nikkari’s already gone for Kiwame, but he does still lose troops sometimes on 7-2 and 7-3.)  Proportionally speaking, Horikawa’s been pretty bad at keeping troops; it’s a shame, as I like his impact stat, but he’s hard to use when he can’t keep troops.  In terms of pure numbers of troops lost, however, that award probably goes to Nikkari because he has one of the highest scouting stats in the game and he’s generally great, so he’s nearly always in my party.  Tsurumaru may be second only because he gets more troops to lose and I’m trying to beat 7-3 so I can try and get Kikkou (curse that low drop rate, because I want him on my first run).  The other era 7 maps (grinding for the other Sadamune brothers because stats and the appeal of having a lucky sword) haven’t been much kinder.

Despite his appearance giving off the impression that his social status was way above hers, she had an inkling that he was… unhinged. After all, who, in their right minds, would randomly talk to a stranger just because they were nearly huddling together from the rain?

There had also been this off-chance of him being a murderer, and that he was using this excuse to get rid of the evidence so that she could be framed for murder instead of him and—

She shook her head inwardly, knowing that her imagination was getting the better of her.

Stalling, she asked him, “… Are you talking to me?”

Despite the lack of lighting in the shed and his head and face concealed by the hat, she knew the moment he turned his head at her direction, he was glaring at her for asking such a stupid question, especially since it was only the two of them inside the shed.

“Is there anyone else here besides the two of us?” he asked sarcastically.

She shrugged, not knowing how to respond, especially since a joke about seeing a ghost standing beside him died on her lips.

The man was definitely not right in the head.

“I keep my promises.” He continued, as if she had not asked such a stupid question. “You can have this useless piece of junk. Sell it, and maybe you can get some coins for it and help you alleviate yourself from poverty.” Without even bothering to look at her, he tossed the tantou at her direction, making her yelp as the short sword hit her arm.

“W-why are you—” she was at a loss as to why he would hand her something so expensive-looking.

“It’s yours now; don’t bother me with it.” He said coldly.

To her surprise, he bolted immediately from the shed, despite the heavy rains, leaving her bewildered and at a loss on what to do with her newly-acquired dagger. The lacquered sheathe may have looked plain, but the handle of the sword was textured and designed with gold platting that even a commoner like her could tell that it was no ordinary weapon.

But… why would he give this to me?

It puzzled her that a stranger would give her a weapon and telling her that he had no use for it… unless she had been right from the start, and that he was really a murderer and he wanted to frame her.

But he mentioned about this helping me.

She wondered if her appearance looked so frightening that he mistook her for a beggar… and upon realizing that it was possible, all she could do was sigh.

In any case, I guess it’s mine now.

While she was still skeptical over her newfound weaponry, she figured she should turn it into her lucky charm.

So, Japanese swords.

Each of the Three Great Conquerors of Japan had a sword/dagger that they consider very important. Oda Nobunaga had Fudou Yukimitsu, Toyotomi Hideyoshi had Ichigo Hitofuri, and Tokugawa Ieyasu had Monoyoshi Sadamune.

By the name itself, ‘monoyoshi’ literally meant ‘lucky thing’, and the sword was considered to have brought Ieyasu great luck in the battlefield. Curiously, this was the sword that Ieyasu had with him during the Siege of Osaka, a campaign that decimated the Toyotomi clan, and burned down Osaka Castle, along with several precious swords, Ichigo Hitofuri included.

What makes this all the more ironic is the fact that Monoyoshi Sadamune used to belong to Hideyoshi, who passed it on to his son, Hideyori. Ieyasu was then given Monoyoshi at one point. In the present times, the sword is part of the Tokugawa Owari Branch’s collection.

Ballroom Dancing | Kasen Kanesada, Ichigo Hitofuri

Ichigo Hitofuri

When Ichigo learned about ballroom dancing from you, after catching you listening to the music and dancing on your own. He became oh so curious about that side of you. Perhaps you dance for fun or you are a former professional dancer, but Ichigo would not help but be utterly captivated. 

He would wait until you are finished dancing on your own to clap, “Master, what were you doing?” he would question oh so curiously.

When you explain to him about ballroom dancing he will cock his head to the side and hum in deep thought, glancing between the device that plays the music and you, before smiling and holding out his hand for you to take.

A princely bow from his hip and a gentle smile, “May I have this dance then, master? If you would be so kind to teach me.” and when you do take his hand, he presses a kiss to the back of your knuckles and you almost faint from his angelic presence.

His little brothers will tease and hem and haw at him when they notice that he’s spending much more time with you than them. Of course it makes sense that he would want to spend time with you! You are his master and significant other after all, and there are times when Ichi-nii needs time to himself~!

The dancing is slow at first, clumsy and he steps on your toes sometimes and vice versa. Of course he will apologize soon after but sweetie seeing the way his cheeks flush in embarrassment? Hello???? Kiss him?

Whenever you two dance, hand kisses are still fucking mandatory. I don’t make the rules. 

His hand on your waist, or yours on his, whoever plays whatever part - it’s a sort of bliss you two share.

Of course don’t be surprised if his little brothers come in to watch! They’ll try to mimic your movements and it’s honestly the cutest thing. And then some of them will taunt Ichi-nii just to see him all flustered. Please help him, he can only do so much. 

Ichigo adores the intimacy the dancing you two brings, and he will get a little greedy, squeezing your hand and just tugging you closer, chest to chest: “Do forgive me for bringing you closer, I just...well,” he would say with a light flush. “I wish to be closer, if that is okay.”

Every dance ends with a kiss. Mandatory! 

Yes Ichigo and you are together but it’s the little things in life that make him happy. Just having you in his arms???? The intimacy? The way you smile when you dance and the way his own lips quirk into a smile???? Oh Gods it’s the best feeling.

Prefers just simply slow dancing like waltz and stuff, if he’s feeling ready for it, he’ll go on to like harder dances. Anything with you by his side!!!

Kasen Kanesada

There is no doubt that Kasen will be utterly enamored if he catches you dancing on your own one day. Stopping everything he was doing at that moment, eyes wide, mouth slightly agape, heart shuddering.

When you finally notice him, he has to jolt back to his senses, clapping in a languid way but enough to let you know that he was more than amazed with how you had danced. “You were absolutely enamoring, darling, what sort of a dance was that?” 

Ever since you have shown him the art of ballroom dancing, Kasen had almost become obsessed with it. The elegance, the closeness???? The way you two can hold each other in your arms and enjoy each other’s presences to the fullest??? He may go a little pink at the thought of being oh so close to you but in his heart, he is oh so giddy!!!!

He begins to all kinds of research by your side. If you are a professional dancer he would want to ask for lessons from you. If you just do this as a hobby, he will go on the internet just to watch and learn. Prefers learning from you, the expert in his eyes. 

He will want to learn eVERYTHING! All of the tricks! All of the dances! All of the moves! Foxtrot, waltz, so on and so forth! Don’t be surprised if you stop learning about the waltz and then suddenly go on to the tango or something! It’s a new art form to master and to appreciate.

Whenever you two dance, you just have to get dressed up! Kasen and you will have to have matching outfits! You just gotta! Kasen just thinks you look absolutely amazing in whatever you wish to wear. Maybe you two will perform in public? Who knows. 

Sometimes Sayo and his brothers watch, Souza and Kousetsu amazed by the music and elegance while Sayo watches on with almost confusion but equally amazed. Kasen might even teach Sayo a little bit if the lil one wants!

Kasen may be slightly reluctant to admit it, but the first few times you had held his hand and directed his body alongside yours, he was flushing oh so bright and his heart hammered in his chest! So close to you like this was oh so sweet, but embarrassing! He loves it though, and almost craves the physical intimacy the dancing provides. 

Because of your dancing, this will also introduce Kasen to various kinds of classical music from composers! He will listen to them while writing poetry, and the said poetry might even be about you two! Of course he will hide them in his little private journal of poems and will only show you and no one else. He will end the citadel himself if Izuminokami found the damn thing. 

Forehead kisses are almost mandatory when you two finish a dance, an elegant finishing bow as the music dies and then one of you pulls the other into their arms for another round of dancing? No! Surprise kissy! Kasen dies every time if you do it, especially if someone is watching. 

To Kasen, your dancing time is your time. No one else is to interfere, and he will happily clear out his schedule just to be by your side.

5'3 black hair, blue eyes, fair skin, cancer, infp. I'm very shy at first. When I find someone with similar interests I open up a bit more easily. Hi! Could I request a Yasusada x male!sword!reader scenario? (Or Hotarumaru if you'd rather not write Yasusada??) thank you!

this is a bit long so the rest is under the cut

It was nice joining the castle and living with others justlike myself. all swords who perfectly understand each other. but one of themstood out as he stayed by my side more than the rest, he was the one who greetedme when I arrived, and the one who showed me excitedly around the place and introducedme to the others, and the one who watched my back during every mission we wenttogether.

Yasusada have been there every time I needed him… and whenhe wasn’t there, it simply became boring and hard to do anything.

.. I honestly and stupidly thought that he’s being there forme, and only me!

but as I stayed here and saw how he acts around the others,greeting them every morning, helping with their works, fight beside them inmissions, I realized I was mistaken.

This realization did nothing but throwing me in a loop ofoverthinking and pain. and made me back away from him.

I knew how I felt toward him all along… but that because Ithought he felt the same right? now I know he doesn’t these feels must go away.

It’s not that easy. 

Today is the perfect day to go on a mission, the sun shiningbut the weather’s not hot, and everyone in a good spirit after staying coupleof weeks with no missions at all.

I wonder who aruji choose to go this time… I wish it’s me,it’s been quite a while since I stretched my muscles.

“everyone listen” came Hasebes voice “these are the names ofthe ones who’re going today”

everyone gathered to hear the names, “Yamanbagiri Kunihiro”,he tried to hide his excitement with not much success, “Nikkari Aoe”, he smiledin satisfaction, “Yasusada Yamatonokami”, he’s going … ,” Tsurumaru Kuninaga”, god helpthose going with him,  “Ichigo Hitofuri”,his little brothers are happier than him for some reason, “and the leader isy\n”, ME? I’ve never taken the lead before!!

“I-I don’t think this is a good Idea”

“sorry y\n, it’s aruji’s orders… I really hoped it’d be methis time”. Hasebe didn’t show much interest in what I have to say… the leader,how am I supposed to do this? I am new here and with not much experience, willit be alright?

We’re leaving now.

The swords standing behind me, the little once stillcheering for their brother like it’s his first mission ever, Nikkari doingsomething with his jacket, Yamanbagiri staring at me waiting for us to leave, Tsurumarustretching his arms and looking ready to take whatever’s coming, Yasusadafixing the tie on his hair. as I looked towards him he left up his head and oureyes met for a split second… No stop this.

“is everyone ready? here we go!”. if he did not look at meat that moment, we probably will still be at the castle right now…

Everyone did a great job at this mission. everyone but me…

I kept thinking about him that I did not notice two of the enemiesattacking me, and what happened next? it got WORSE, he took them both byhimself, like he always did. I’m not sure if he asked if I got hurt because I ranaway from him, and made sure we’ve been separated the whole time until we’reback.

now we are back I don’t know if I can even look at his way. embarrassmentmixed with all the old feelings is killing me!

everyone got to their rooms and I’m still sitting here, forwhat reason? of course thinking about him…

“are you alright y\n?” … that voice!! “you’re not your usualself lately. something bad happened?”

“why… no.. yah I’m fine”. I tried to avoid his eyes as much asI could

“Did something happen in the last week? or the week before?”

“n-no .. nothing at all”.

“have I done something bad?”

“what?”. what the hell is he saying now?

“I don’t know. you seemed angry with me for quite a while… Ifigured that I’ve done something without meaning to that made you mad”

I didn’t even have to answer, he did anyways.

“you were amazing at the mission today, you’ve killed morethan you ever did in a mission!”… Did I?..”you usually kill one or two buttoday you got THREE!! you also helped Ichigo with one, that was AWESOME!!”…hearing him saying that.. “I got so excited when you became the leader, it’syour first time! we will remember this mission forever”

“I don’t think so”

“why is that?”

“I put you and the others in danger… this is not somethingfor a leader to do”

“it’s alright stuff like this happens”

“… sorry for troubling you today”

“y\n.. not at all. we’re team aren’t we”

“Kashuu always told me to be stronger and faster, I neverlisted to him until you joined us”

“why me?”.I meant to tell him he also was amazing when hekilled two at once all by himself….

I turned my head his way… he’s already looking at me withthose eyes …

“I’m not sure… something about you makes me want to bebetter. it’s like wanting to be up to your standards”… even in this darkness I cansee his face redder that usual.

“i… don’t know what you mean”

“we were getting closer, and then you turned away from me allof a sudden…. I thought I may be the problem” there’s some sadness to his voice

Hakusan x Ichigo recollection - Brother of the tsurugi

Hakusan: I feel a Touken Danshi behind me… I have determined it to be Ichigo Hitofuri.

Ichigo: Ah, I’ve been found out before I’ve even had a chance to greet you.

Hakusan: Is something the matter?

Ichigo: I was just a bit worried about a brother of mine being here all alone. 

Hakusan: Brother… that is true, we were both crafted by Toushiro Yoshimitsu, however, I am a tsurugi.

Ichigo: Well, I’m a tachi, our younger brothers are wakizashi and tantou. We’re all different. 

Hakusan: Katana and tsurugi are different. They will all think I am very weird. (Hakusan is a double-edged sword while the other Awataguchi are single-edged.)

Ichigo: Why would we think our own brother is weird?

Hakusan: I am different from the other Touken Danshi who are katana. I am incapable of conversing normally like a person. 

Ichigo: There’s nothing wrong with having a brother who is bad at speaking. That’s what I feel.
