My *Updated Winter Skincare Routine + Some Tips 🎀

I have tried out some new products and have found some new personal favorite skincare items for the winter! I figured I’d update on my current morning and night skincare routines and add in some tips (based on things I’ve been doing that have been working for me). I am not a dermatologist or professional, these are sino,y my routines and what works for me!

🩷 Morning Skincare Routine

Wash my face with Cerave Hydrating Face Wash and cold water

Pat dry with a paper towel

Apply Jumiso Vitamin C Serum

Follow up with Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Cream

Use sunscreen, Beauty of Joseon Rice + Probiotics SPF 50

that’s my simple little morning routine! I love it so much more for than my super complicated routine because sometimes it’s nice to just get in and get my skincare done for the morning.

🩷 Night Skincare Routine

these two things stay the same every night, but the rest differs by night

Oil cleanse on dry skin with Anua Pore Control Cleansing Oil

Follow up with using the B.Lab Matcha Foam Hydrating Cleanser

Monday/Wednesday/Friday - Exfoliating

Use the Cosrx AHA/BHA Toner

Pat in the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence

Use the Torriden Dive In Low Molecule Hyalorounic Serum

Next, I pat in the Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum

I use the Cerave Eye Repair Cream on my under eyes

Lastly, I use the Cosrx All In One Snail Cream

Tuesday/Thursday - Retinal Eye Cream Days

I use the Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner

Next, I’ll use the Torriden Dive In Low Molecule Hyaluronic Serum

Then I’ll occasionally use the Skin 1004 Centella Asiática Ampoule serum

Then I Pat a bit of the Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Cream under my eyes

Lastly, I lock it all in with my Etude Soon Jung Hydro Barrier Cream

Saturday - Basic Day

I’ll use the I’m From Rice Toner on this day

Then I’ll use the Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Followed by either the Anua Peach Nicain Serum OR the Beauty of Joseon Glow Serum

I’ll Pat the Cerave Eye Repair Cream into the under eye area

Then I lock it all in with Etude Soon Jung Hydro Barrier Cream

Sunday - Full Self Care Day

Before double cleansing, I use the Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Face Mask (I love her)

Then I double cleanse

Then I’ll use the Anua Toner Pads

Then I use my Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence

Then I use either of my Hyaluronic Serums depending on how I feel

Then I’ll use the Axis Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum

Cerave Eye Cream of course

Then I use the Cosrx All In One Snail Cream

Every Night -

I pat a little Hyaluronic acid serum into my lips and seal it with Vaseline

a lot of products, yes, but I went crazy and bought a bunch of skincare and now I’m using it and my skin loves all of it honestly! My skin is not super sensitive so I use everything within reason in a way that won’t irritate it. For me, I know what works for my skin and what doesn’t, and that’s been the most helpful thing. Now, for some tips,

🩷 Skincare Tips

Apply vitamin C to dry skin! I’ve heard this helps with absorption and the way the serum works!

Pat face dry, do not rub! Rubbing irritates the skin and pulling on it aggressively like that isn’t good long term

Use clean paper towels! May be a bit wasteful but it’s a lot cleaner then using a face towel that you wash once a week

Apply Hyaluronic Acid to damp skin for better absorption!

Apply all serums to your clean fingers to pat into skin as dragging the droppers across your skin can collect bacteria and what not

Always use sunscreen! I myself sometimes forget or I skip it and that’s just not good for your skins health long term

drink your water!!! Hydrated skin starts from within, lovelies

Use products that work for your skin type! Avoid fragrances if you have sensitive skin, avoid snail mucin if you have a dust allergy, etc

Cold water in the morning to refresh your skin and wake you up

if I've washed my face + done my skincare the night before, I do not wash my face in the morning. I simply splash with cold water and do my morning routine.

learn your skin type! this will help you determine what products will be beneficial for your skin type and goals. My skin bounces between oily and dry depending on the weather, if I did skincare, if my pillowcases are clean, etc.

don't touch your face, at least not with dirty hands. always make sure your hands are clean before touching your face

don't pop acne! not only with this leave the chance of scarring, but it spreads the bacteria from one pimple to the rest of your face

brush your teeth before doing skincare. when you brush your teeth after, you may rub off the stuff you've applied or mix it in, which is not the best for your skin

those are all the tips I currently use in my everyday life regarding my skin! I hope this was useful!

i will also do a sheet mask 1-2x a week, and use an exfoliating toner pad once a week!

who got you into kpop? technically... the jonas brothers kjbgsjkgbksg because i first got into wonder girls when they were touring with them in 09 😭

what does your skincare routine look like? okay honestly... my routine is super involved and i use quite a lot of products because like, my skin went through hell in the 4 years i had really bad cystic acne and then after being on accutane for nearly a year like it was so ruined, extremely reactive and hypersensitive for several years, so since i've managed to repair it basically completely on my own i'm a bit obsessive about my routine... like you definitely don't need all these steps in most routines lol. but anyways i use the hada labo gokujyun basic oil cleanser at night to break down makeup/sunscreen, both am and pm i use the cerave hydrating cleanser which is super basic but i'm scared of cleansers i've had many bad experiences lol and this one works. both am and pm i follow cleansing with the niod sdsm mist which is so fucking expensive and whenever it starts getting low i dread having to restock but it really, really helped calm my skin down. i use the make p:rem safe me toner for layering lots of hydration and the cosrx propolis toner to soothe and start infusing moisture. for serums the ones i use are the skinfood honey propolis essence and the vegreen reishi serum which are both extremely soothing (i don't use them at the same time) and i usually use the ordinary's granactive retinoid 5% but i've run out and not been able to restock for a while. i use the illiyoon ato ceramide concentrate cream as my moisturizer, mixed with some squalane for extra lipids since my skin is so dry, and in the evening i use the cosrx propolis sleeping mask on top. i have a cica spot treatment from innisfree and my sunscreen is either the isntree hyaluronic sun gel or the beauty of joseon rice and probiotic sunscreen. and when my barrier needs extra support i use the stratia liquid gold before my moisturizer.

My current skincare.. No breakout breakout kleub *hamdallah*

Bulan2 lalu beberapa serum, moisturizer, toner kaya lsg empties hampir berbarengan, mana THR belom cair.. Sadddd! Sunscreen pun hampir habis. Lg cari2 rekomen sunscreen yg cucok nihhh msh bingung milihnya.

Akhirnyaaa my new babies dadang jugah~ lagi coba2 produk kroya nih yg udah jadi wishlist dari lama hehe. Beruntung.. Sepupuku baru pulang dari kroya yg ikut suami ditugasin disana, ceritanya titip nih beli di marketplace sana harganya jauh lebih murceuuuu cuy. Aku titip moisturizer Illiyoon sama Cosrx Snail mucin yg terkenal ituuuhh. Moistnya ngga tanggung2 segede dosa.. 200ml dong mana pakenya seuprit2 karena teksturnya cream diperuntukkan utk dry skin, padahal aku oily. Ya emg aku dan sepupuku salah deal2an setelah menimbang2 knp milih yg cream hadeeehhh. Emg agak greasy, namun semenjak aku skinkeran kadar minyak agak berkurang memang. Jadi pake moist tekstur cream ini oke juga bikin kulit kenyal sama halus bgt finishnya, wlpn emg agak oily. Pas kan lg summer gini, trus kalo pake serum atau produk berbahan aktif kaya retinol dan aha bha bikin kulit kering. Oiya sunscreen missha jg oily tapi finishnya bikin haluuuuusss. Gpp deh bahan2 yg bikin oily kalo finishnya glowing dan kenyal mah gas aja wkwk.

Oiya toner dr Corsx ini dpt sepaket 3 lg promo bgt. Yg 1 exfo toner, aha bha dan vit c (mantep yah lengkavvv), trus hydrating toner yg cimit warna biru, trus propolis toner cimit warna kuning. Trus serumnya baru kebeli 2, somethinc niacinamide 10% sama retinolnya. Dua2nya mantuuull.. Alhamdulillah tipe kulit badakku kalo nemu produk baru coba sejauh ini ngga breakout :') jerawat jg kalo muncul 1 atau 2 aja itu jg cpt kempes, apaqa skin barrier ku semakin kuaddd?

Waktu mudik, kadang skip skinker kadang pake.. Males ih kaya tiap harinya capee, cape seneng tapinya. Pas lagi bare-faced gitu sepupu2ku blg muka aku bersihan dan cerah.. Awww alhamdulillah perjuangankuuu, baru rajin 1,5 thn laluuu pake basic (facewash, toner, moist, sunscreen) skinker drugstore dan hibahan adik seadanya karena msh ragu dan takut ngga cocok. Selang 3 bulan yg pertama liat hasilnya adalah my one and only my number 1 supporter @sagarmatha13 katanya "yang, glowing euy mukanya cerah" makin semangat ngga tuh dipuji suami, trus smpe skrg masih suka dipegang2 mukaku, iri yaa~ hahaha. Dan aku tipe yg ganti2 produk kalo dah abis, yg bertahan sampe 5 jar itu cuma moist viral the originote ituu ahaha enakeun mana affordable pula. Walapun ganti2 alhamdulillah masih aman ini kulitku, dasar kulit badak yah.. Pokonya yg paling penting buatku skrg skinker yg ada kandungan aha bha, vit c, retinol, niacinamide.. Apapun merknya. Utk saat ini emg lg dominan produk kroya, baru bbrp hari dah cucok sih. Oiya, terlepas dari "keberhasilan" my skincare journey ttp yah bagian bopeng2 mah ngga akan ilang, harus di laser guysss.. Pricey kan, makanya nabung! Hahahaha.

Oiya, suamiku skrg rajin lagi skinkeran.. Sempet rajin bgt thn lalu, males lagiii. Skrg baru mulai lg deh walaupun cuma malem aja wkwk padahal proteksi skinker am penting ih apalagi sunscreen. Semangat yang, kita glowing bersama eaa

Hada labo foaming cleanser, Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Lotion, Illiyoon ceramide ato cream, muji oil cleanser, papa recipe bombee honey sheet mask, kikumasamune high moist lotion, apieu madecassoside cream, purito deep sea cream — are my current holy grails :) (this is a mix of Korean and Japanese brands)

Hi Anon! Lemme share a photo so I can easily remember the products I use lol

1. Cleanser - Cosrx good morning low ph gel cleanser

2. Cosrx one step pad original clear pad

3. Dear klairs supple preparation toner

4. Cosrx snail mucin essence

5. For spot treatment: body shop tea tree oil and the ordinary niacinamide

6. My old moisturizer was Cosrx oil-free moisturizing lotion pero I switched to Illiyoon ceramide ato soothing gel just for the sake of trying and nice naman sya.

Once or twice a week I use the ordinary aha bha peeling solution. Daming products pero sana nagttake effect na no? One advise lang, don't stop your routine once your skin has gotten used to it kasi it'll cause a bad breakout :(

Hi omg, I'm so sorry for just now seeing this, but for dark marks, I usually recommend FADED by Topicals and a good sunscreen. As far as dryness, you can use the Gokujyun Premium lotion/toner. It has 7 different forms of hyaluronic acid and you can find it on Amazon. Also, the ILLIYOON Ceramide Ato Lotion moisturizer. It's thick, creamy, unscented, and repairs the skin barrier. ok i think the illiyoon ato cream is in my holy grails, im so happy with it, the beauty of joseon sunscreen honestly a bit of a bummer..i had high expectations because of the hype but its an alright sunscreen. no strong smell, nourishing, no white cast but does leave a slight dewy/greasy look at least when you first apply it, also has a slight tacky feel. I honestly feel its a bit too expensive considering theres equal if not even better ones for cheaper.

#been looking at bondi sands and theyre australian so the quality in terms of actual protection should be good
