Rain droplets can be heard splattering outside onto the windows of Jasper’s room, but no sound can disrupt the deep slumber of Y/N. You were sprawled out on Jasper’s bed (that was installed shortly after your visits became more frequent). You were laying on your stomach, your left knee raised up to your side and your arms buried under the ivory colored silk pillow. Your breathing heavy but quiet. The aroma of Timber & Patchouli filled the interior, being lit by the vampire shortly after the mortal fell asleep.
Jasper laid beside the human, his back pressed against the wooden headboard of his bed while his hand played with a strand of Y/N’s H/C hair, This was a usual event that happens, and he loved it. He couldn’t get enough of hearing the gentle, repetitive beats of her heart. It was calming for the immortal.
Whenever he felt stressed or overwhelmed, he’d stand behind the latter and wrap his arms around her waist. He then would hide his face in the crook of Y/N’s neck, breathing in the female’s pleasant fragrance, drowning out his thoughts with her heartbeat.
“Jasper..?” Y/N calls out groggily. You slowly, but eventually push yourself up with your arms so that you’re now sitting up. Your arms extending outwards while a yawn left your lips. “Yes, darlin’?” Jasper quietly chuckles, finding the tired mortal to be cute. “I’m right behind you, love.” His voice soothing.
“Mm.. How long was I asleep for?” You ask, turning around to face Jasper with half-lidded eyes. “Just a little over an hour.” The male hums, reaching out to pull you onto his lap. You shiver at the sudden chilliness of his skin in contact with yours, but you soon grow used to it. “What are you looking at? Is there drool on my chin?” You question after noticing the male staring up at you. You turned your face away from the latter, trying to wipe away any saliva from the corner of your lips. “There’s nothing there, hon’. I’m just appreciating the beauty that’s in front of me.” Jasper whispers the last sentence into your ear, pecking your cheek afterwards. You quickly turned your head back to look at Jasper with slightly widened eyes. You gently hit his chest before covering your face with your hands, “Jasper!” You giggled, wrapping your arms around his neck, “..thank you, love.” You smiled, leaning in closer to fill the gap between the two of you, his lips feeling so soft against yours.
A small, faint gasp left your lips once you felt Jasper’s hands firmly grip at your waist, his thumbs caressing your skin. He smiled into the kiss, his tongue dancing with yours. You hum against his lips, pressing your chest up against his broad chest. Your hands riding up his soft, golden locks. “Jasper..” You pulled away momentarily to softly whisper before leaning back in. His lips detaches from yours, leaving a trail of kisses down to your jawline. “Are you hungry, my love?” He asks, pulling back to look at you in your eyes. You smile and nodded, “Starving actually.“
“Esme insisted on cooking tonight because she couldn’t the last time you came over. She felt very guilty for having you leave on an empty stomach, so beware for a feast.” Jasper chuckles as he intertwines both of your guy’s hands together, bringing them up to his lips to kiss the back of your hand. “Oh god, how am I going to finish all of it? You and the cullen’s don’t eat food.” You pout as you make your way off of Jasper’s lap, worrying about how you’re going to finish all of the food. “It’s okay, just sleep over tonight and have the rest for breakfast tomorrow mornin’.” Jasper says as he shifts over to the edge of his bed, shortly standing up afterwards. “I suppose that’s fine. My parents are away for the weekend.” You shrugged, standing up from Jasper’s bed, laughing at Jasper’s enlightened face. “C’mere, give me a kiss.” You ordered, shuffling over to Jasper to wrap your arms around his neck, tipi-toeing to take the male’s lips into yours once again.
But the door slams open abruptly, revealing the tall, built brown-haired vampire. “Y/N! Dinner’s ready!” Emmet announces, immediately regretting his enthusiastic entrance when he’s met with Jasper’s glare. “Dude, seriously?”
“Thank you, Emmet!” You thank, equally as energetic as the brown-haired vampire. You looked over to Jasper with a grin, patting his chest in attempt to calm the latter.
“Oh shit— sorry. My bad.” He laughs, “I’ll just..” He trails off, speedily running down the hall to the stairway.
“Now.. where were we?” Jasper hums with a smirk, leaning in.
“Nuh-uh. C’mon cowboy. I’m hungry.” You laugh, quickly running away from the immortal before he has a chance to pull you back into a kiss.
“Hey-! Wait! That’s not fair!” Jasper calls out, using his vampire speed to easily catch up to the young woman.

"Let's run away together."
These were the words Jasper told you a few years ago. You met each other at school, you were sixteen, almost seventeen, and he was supposed to be eighteen. You arrived in the middle of the semester of senior year. Due to you amazing intellect, you were a year advanced and you found yourself in the same english literature class as him.
"Alright class, we have a new student joining us for the rest of the year." Mrs. Danvers told and you entered the class.
The sound of your heels click-clacked on the ground as you entered in the class, a low waisted blue jean along with a black off shoulder with pale pink furr at the top. Your hand bag in your right hand was made of pale pink furr to match your top and your school hand bag was around your left shoulder. You had a golden necklace with a heart locket, a bunch of golden bracelet around both wrists and very rosy cheek. Overall you guessed ut, you looked like the perfect mean, fake and plastic girl.
"Hi, I'm Y/n L/n/n I moved here from New York and I'm sixteen, almost seventeen." Your voice was sweet like honey and suddenly every boys of the class were drooling.
"Thank you miss. Y/n/n you can sit beside Longbottom." The teacher told and a red head boy quickly rose his hand to the annoyance of the rest of the class. The girls because you were competition, and the boys they were jealous.
As you reached your sit, you saw your new sitmate move the chair for you and you widened your eyes a little before letting out a soft giggle. At this sound every boys of the class awwed while the girls huffed as you sat down.
From the back of the class, Jasper heard his brother, Edward, scoff before rolling his eyes and the blond empath looked at you once again. He didn't knew why but he couldn't feel anything from you. He was curious, because he couldn't feel anything from you but you weren't numb either. It was as if you were feeling something but you weren't. Then Jasper realize that in fact you were feeling something, he was the one not feeling anything anymore. From the moment you stepped inside of the classroom, everyone else's emotions disappeared and only your calm state stayed. At the end of the class, Jasper wanted to greet you, only to be blocked by a bunch of boy running to carry your bag or propose you a bunch of snack and you disappeared between the hue of students.
The next time Jasper saw you it was at lunch. At first he didn't notice you, but when Bella's akwardness toward Mike and Carter's love sick feeling for Alice suddenly disappear, Jasper couldn't help but look up. And there you were, surrounded by a bunch of guys as they were holding your bag, trail of food or handing you some homeworks to copy.
"Please not the new girl." Jessica groaned and everyone at the table looked toward you.
"I had a class with her this morning. I heard that her father was the CEO of a car company that was moving here. She is so spoiled, in class she almost crying because Jane took her notebook and wouldn't give it back when she asked." Jessica started her daily gossip and Edward rolled his eyes.
"She can't fool just anyone with that smile." The mind reader huffed as you passed beside their table.
"Hey Y/n !" Mike grinned like a lost puppy and you looked up from your pink cell phone toward the sound.
"Oh hey, Micheal right ? In spanish ?" You tilted your head and Jasper suddenly felt like his dead heart skipped a bit.
"It's Mike actually... but it's fine ! Wanna sit with us ?" The boy grinned and you looked around the table.
Then there was a silence as you glanced at everyone, noticing their rather annoyed or uneasy expression on their face before that your e/c eyes met his golden eyes. It was as if the world stopped, you held your breath in aww as you looked at his golden lock and his sharp jawline. He had a pale skin, very pale, like three other people at the table but his looked the best of them all. His golden orbs were shining due to the light of the cantine and you couldn't help but want to press your pink glossed lips over his.
"Y/n ?" Mike called and you snapped out of your trance, looking back at him with an apologetic smile.
"I'm sorry. But I don't think I'll sit here." You walked away and the group could here the boys bombarding you with invitation to lunch as you went to the back of the cantine.
"Shoot ! Man ! It's your weird hair that scared her !" Eric teased and the two boys started to bicker.
"She doesn't seem that bad...?" Angela hesitated and Carter passed his arm around Alice's shoulders who looked tense.
"I don't think we should be friend her." The petite vampire expressed and Jasper frowned.
"Why ?" He asked and Alice shared a glance at Edward before looking back at her untouched trail of food.
"Just because."

After this day Jasper would see you everywhere, in the corridor, the parking lot, in class, he even saw you in the forest a few time, by a lake that flowed close to the town. Yet even with Alice and Edward's warning he couldn't help but want to see you. Whenever you were around, he would feel at peace. So he started to chance his path at school, passing by your locker so you would be near by, waiting until you start to head inside to head in english, parking his car near yours every morning. He wanted to be beside you as much as possible but still respect your boundaries.
"Alright class ! Today we'll start a few group project about the book rode in class. You will be paired up by two and work on a presentation of one of the book we studied in class." Mrs. Danvers announced and you looked up from your pink fluffy notebook.
"Before anyone ask. I am making the group and I want no complaining." The teacher told and everyone groaned in annoyance.
"I said no complaining ! Alright now let's form the group." The brunette teacher announced and started to name a few people of the class.
You weren't expecting anything. You would go along with anyone. You just hoped that you wouldn't be paired with Edward Cullen or Jasper Hale, even if he was handsome, because strangely enough, their entire family and himself hated you for some reasons.
"Tonny and Mark." Mrs. Danvers told and Tonny, your sitmate, groaned.
"Sad we could have been together !" He told you and you sent him a half sad smile.
"That's unfortunate." You replied and he slouched on his chair.
"Y/n and Jasper." The teacher announced and you felt your blood run cold.
Turning around toward the said blond, you ignored the whine of the boys and your eyes locked with his for the second time since you moved here. You couldn't read him. You didn't knew if he felt happy or horrified that he was paired up with you. Yet you knew that it was definitly not going to well between the two of you. He hated you for whatever reason and your father hated boys in general.
At the end of the class, you went to your locker, followed by your usual among of boys and put your english stuff in your locker before seeing Jasper approching you from afar. You quickly told the four boys around you to go and fixed your high poney tail before that the godlike blond stops before you.
"Hey." Jasper greeted you and you sent him a shy smile with a tiny wave.
"Hey, Jasper right ?" You asked. It was a habit of yours, always checking if you had their name correctluy first.
"Right, and you're Y/n right ?" He asked back even if he knew it.
"Right, that's me." You let out a shy, uneasy laugh and the boy smiled softly.
"So for the english project, are we doing it at your house or mine ?" Jasper asked and you frowned slightly.
"Cloud we do it at yours ? My father isn't really happy when I bring someone home, especially when it's a boy you know." You looked and away and Jasper nodded.
"Right okay. So this afternoon at mine ?" He clarified and you nodded quickly.
"Yes ! This afternoon, at yours !" You confirmed with an excited shime in your eyes and Jasper chuckled.
You were cute. He could feel how excited you were. He didn't knew if it was because you wanted to work of if it was because you would get to see his house, or even if it was because you wanted to spend some time with him, but he hoped it was the later, because he couldn't wait to spend some time with you.
So for the rest of the afternoon he waited patiebtly for the end of class to arrive and once he finished his biology class, he quickly made his way to the parking lot, seeing you already waiting by your car.
"Hey !" You greeted and he smiled a little.
"Hey, ready to go ?" Jasper asked and you nodded closing your cell phone before putting it in your hand bag.
Luckily, today your father was the one to drop you off at school which mean you didn't need ton follow Jasper in your car but could simply ride with him to his house. On the way there, the two of you had a short discussion. You discovered that he had two more sibling as a plus of Edward, Carter and Alice and that they liked to go hiking on sun days. You learned that the loved to have game nights when everyone was at home and you couldn't help but smile at the way he was talking about his family with such a big smile on his face.
"What about you ? Anything to share ?" Jasper offered and you thought, your eyes drifting to the scenery around you.
"Well, my mother dies when I was seven, since then I live with my father. In contrary of what people could think, he's a very present father even if he's busy with work. Sometimes, when he comes home, we have a few dinner together and we always share a few joke. He loves to bake so whenever we can' we're baking together ! We also paint a lot together, whivh you saw me a bunch of time by the river painting the scenery." You grinned and Jasper's eyes widened.
"How do you know that I see you ?" The golden eyes boy questioned and you giggled.
"You're not very well hidden by the trees you know ?" You teased and if he could, Jasper would have blush in embarrassement.
"It's okay, you can join me next time Jaz." You giggled before realizing how you called him.
"I mean-"
"It's alright. You can call me that." Jasper cut your apologize and you mirrored his smile.
"Alright." You looked back at the road as a soft music was playing from the radio.
You couldn't wait to know him more.
Tumblr media
Then you and Jasper got closer. At first it was only a few shy 'hi' or tiny waves but after two weeks on working on your project together, Jasper would pick you up everyday, and bring you home everyday. At first your father didn't like it, but he came around eventually. After three weeks of hanging out together, Jasper told you that he was a vampire. He knew it was dangerous but when you squealed and told him how cool this was, the empath couldn't help but love you even more.
"You can't be serious ?" Edward glared and Jasper huffed.
"Yes I am, I don't see why Bella could have dinner with us but Y/n can't." The empath replied angrily.
"Come on, you should have told us sooner, Esme didn't cook enough for two ! And Alice already told you to not hang out with that girl ! She is dangerous !" The golden brunette scolded.
"We all know that Bella never eat everything Esme made and no Y/n is not ! No one of you even tried to befriend her ! And what did you even see to be so reculant into meeting her ?" Jasper glared toward his sister.
"Jasper don't talk to your sister like that !" Esme stepped in and the blond rolled his eyes.
He had enough. Everytime you would come to his house for the english project, his family would say rude comment regarding you. From the way you dress for Alice to your weak looking body from Emmett to your parfum from Rosalie, they were always criticizing you somehow and each time Jasper could feel how it upset you or made you sad. He had enough of it.
"What did Alice see for you all to be so rude with Y/n !? Even you are Esme when we know that you are the sweetest woman on walking on Earth !" Jasper pointed out and the rest of the family stayed silent. Even Bella was there and she looked incredibly uncomfortable.
Then Emmett moved to open the door, revealing your figure about to knock at the door. He boy shoot you a tiny glare and you sent him an uneasy smile with a hint of fear.
"How long have you been standing there ?" The bearlike vampire asked and you shifted nervously under his gaze.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to overheard anything but then I heard shouting and I didn't want to knock in the middle of an argument. I can leave if you-"
"Yes."
"No." Jasper glared at Rosalie, who rolled her eyes, before sitting and joining you at the entrance.
Looking at you, Jasper frowned a little as he notived how you weren't wearing your usual tight shirt with dentel and a vest but you had a fletter sleeve white t-shirt instead, your usual low waisted jean was replaced by a high waisted jean with large leg, your heels were replaced by a pair of sneakers and your usual high pony tail was down, letting your hair cover your neck as much as possible, blocking the slight ordor of the different fragrance you used tonight. Jasper noticed how you tried your best to hide the freckles on your face with some make as one time Bella made abad comment about them. He noticed how you changed your entire look just to please his family's taste and he hated it. He loved how you would always ask him to tie your hair for you, or how he would count your freckles when he was bored.
"You look different." He acknowledged and you smiled brightly, but he could see it was fake.
"Yeah ! I didn't want to wear my usual style today ! Trying something new you know. Do you like it ?" You asked hopefully and Jasper frowned slightly as he heard Edward's snicker in the living room.
"It's... unusual for sure ?" The blond vampire replied as he moved out of the way, inviting you in.
"I must say, this smells really good Mrs. Cullen." You tried to compliment as everyone sat around the dinning table.
"Surely it smells better than you." Rosalie muttered, but made it loud enough as you could hear it from your sit and your smile fell a little while Jasper glared.
During the dinner the mood was tense. You knew it was because of you and Jasper could feel your guilty from across the room as you slowly ate your food.
"So Y/n ?" You immediately rose your head and looked toward Carter curiously.
"Jasper told us your mother was dead when you were younger. It must have hurt." The bruney male pointed out and you let out an uneasy laugh while looking away.
"Yeah it was." You muttered.
"How did she die ?" Bella asked blantly and you held your breath a little, image of your mother's death replaying in your head.
"She hum... she died in a car accident." You tried your best to not stutter and Jasper looked at you with worry, all he wanted was to comfort you.
"How old were you again ?" Edward smirked slightly, keeping the topic on.
"I was seven." You lowered your head and they hummed.
"That's young, how can you be so okay with it ?" Alice asked and Jasper glared at his siblings.
"Guys, stop." He growled lowly.
"No no, we want to know how did she cope with it all." Rosalie gave you a sickening sweet smile and you felt your stomach fell inside of you.
"I... Well I guess it was with time. And I was young, I didn't knew my mom very well-"
"So you didn't felt a tiny bit sad ?"
"What ? Oh no I felt devastated-"
"Were you in the car accident too ?"
"Yeah I was-"
"But you're fine ? Don't you think it's a little unfair for your mother ?"
"Guys. Stop. That."
"I think-"
"Don't you wish it was you ?"
"You don't even have a scar."
"I fould feel guilty if I were you."
"That's kind of unsensitive if you don't."
"I'm sorry. My father want me home." You stood up quickly without even looking up, afraid to show them you tears stained face.
Quickly walking out of the three story mansion, you didn't see the grins on the Cullen kids' faces and Jasper's worried and alarmed expression as you stepped in your car;
"Y/n/n I'm so sorry, I didn't-"
"It's okay Jaz. I don't even know why I showed up when I knew that your family hated me." You wiped away a tear as Jasper stood by the window of your car.
"No no, none of this is your fault don't feel guilty please I should have known they were going to be like that. None of this is your fault they were just a bunch of asshole please don't cry darling." Jasper put one of his cold hand against your cheek and you grabbed his hand in yours leaning in his familiar touch.
"I'm sorry Jaz... For not being good enough for you or your family... I'm sorry I couldn't reach their expectation." You started your car and Jasper moved away with sad eyes.
"Please don't leave me darling." He whispered and you looked down at your lap before sending him a sad look.
"I'll see you later Jaz." You drove away and Jasper watched your car disappear between the trees of the forest, his hand slowly clenching into fist.
He was mad. He didn't understand why was his family so rude with you. They all accepted Bella when she forced herself on the family why could they not accept you even after how hard you tried to reach their standart, how hard you tried to understand their life style and always covering for them whenever a teacher would ask here they are when they hunt. Jasper hated how his family blantly hated you for no reasons at all when all you did was making him happier than he ever was.
"Why would you do that ?" Jasper whispered not even turning around to face his family.
"Jasper you have to understand-"
"WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT !?" It was the first time Jasper rose his voice and his eyes were dark, almost black.
"Jasper don't-"
"Please don't. You two did nothing while they are harassing Y/n questiong that clearly made her uncomfotable what is wrong with you all !? I was finally at peace !! I was finally truly happy, not because someone else felt happy but because I felt genuinly happy for once in my immortal life and you had to ruin it !? You had to be rude, you have to make her feel worthless !?" Jasper growled and his siblings and Bella frowned slightly.
"Why do you care so much anyways ?" Emmett crossed his arms on his chest.
"BECAUSE I LOVE HER !!" The empath reveale and everyone stood there in disbelief.
"I love her so much it fucking hurt to see her and feel her so demaged by the one who are supposed to support me forever. I don't understand why you would accept Bella when she pratically forced herself on our famil but can't accept the strongest and kindest girl walking on Earth. Why do you all hate Y/n so much ?" Jasper asked deseperatly but only got the silence as an answer causing him to scoff at his family before starting walk away.
"You all are unbelievable."
That night, Jasper showed up at your window to see you curved into a ball, soft whimper and sniffs audible from under your cover.
"Oh darling..." The words slipped from his lips and you looked out of your cover with glossy eyes, only killing his dead heart even more.
"I'm so sorry darling... I love you so much I'm so sorry..." Jasper whispered as he slided beside you and you immediately vurled inside of his arms, seeking for the warmth only he could give you even with a cold skin.
The both of you stayed in that position, for a while, him slowly caressing your hair and you sniffing from time to time as you listened to the silence inside his chest, calming your nerves. After a while, Jasper looked down at your figure debating if he should do his next move or not. But you needed to get away from them. Both of you.
"Let's run away together" His voice was calm and you looked up at him with red eyes from crying.
"But your family-"
"Won't do anything. I don't think I can trust them for a while after tonight." Jasper cut you and you frowned.
"Is it because of m-"
"Darling, nothing is your fault. We're going to pack your bag and tell you're dad what happened. He will understand." The vampire told you and you hesitated before nodding.
"But what about your family ?" You questioned silently.
"This is their fault. They will have to assume the result of their actions."
Tumblr media
So here you were six years later, barely twenty-three years old, cooking in the kitchen waiting for your husband to come back from his day at work. Yeah Jasper was working. He was actually working in the library near the town you decided to settle in. You worked too, you were a teacher for pre-schooler. Then you heard the bell ring at the door and your dog, Fanny, barked loudly causing you to frown.
"Fanny ! Don't growl !" You scolded as youi wiped your hand on your appron before opening the door.
There stood a girl, she looked like she was eleven or something, and she held a box of cookies in her hands with a smile. To be honest she kind you reminded you of someone but you didn't knew who.
"Hey, can I help you dearie ?" Your soft adult side came out and Fanny ran at your feet.
"Hello ! My name is Renesmee and I'm here on behalf of my family ! My four siblings, our two parents and I moved a couple of miles away and we wanted to invite you and your family for dinner. These are for you." The girl grinned while handind you the box of cookie and you sent her an apologetic smile.
"I'm so sorry, I'm already making dinner. Come on in thought." You invited and the golden brunette smile while stepping inside of the house after you.
The little looked around in aww as the vintage style was all around the house. On the wall there was a few painting, along with some pictures of your dog, yourself and Jasper all around and the smell of fresh bread greeted Renesmee as she sat down.
"It's very pretty here." She complimented and you smiled.
"Thank you, my husband and I settled here a few years back ourselves. You could invite your family for dinner thought. I always love to meet new people." You replied and Renesmee nodded gently.
"Come by in thirty minutes, everything should be ready by then." You added and the girl nodded before walking out of your house, escorted by Fanny who got a few scratches behind the ears as a reward before that the little waved see you later.
So now, thirty minutes later, you were placing seven more plates around your dinner table that you extanded. You texted Jasper to tell him about the unexpected guests so he could prepare and you smiled as the bell rang and Fanny ran to the door.
"Ay you big girl, out of the way." You shooed her away before opening the door, a bright smile plastered on your face as you saw seven people by your door. They all looked oddly familiar but you and your amazing memory couldn't remember from where you knew them.
"Hi, hello ! You must be our new neighbor. I'm Y/n L/n/n-Hale, please come on in." You moved out of the way, missing the glance the family shared between themselves before stepping walked in the dinning room and they all sat around the dinning table while you grabbed some hot plat with a kitchen glove.
"You're house is lovely." A wavy brunette woman complimented and you grinned, she looked around twenty-six to twenty-eight years old.
"Thank you, my husband and I designed it a few years back, he should probably be home soo-" Your reply was cut short when Jasper bargged inside of the house with a serious yet worried expression.
"Darling are you alright !? I've smell a couples of vampires around the house and-" Jasper cut himself when he noticed who was sitting around your dinner table while you froze in confusion.
"Jasper ?" The father of the family asked and you forwned slightly before that it cklicked inside of your head.
"Shit !" You swore under your breath as you finally recognized the people in your dinning room.
"What are you all doing here ?" Jasper growled slowly making his way to you.
"Jasper we weren't-"
"Why are you here ?" Jasper glared and you moved around the table to join his side.
"Jaz, honey, calm down alright ? They were not going to do anything." You bit the inside of your cheek as your husband leaned into your touch.
"If he is my uncle Jasper then are you the problematic mean girl ?" Renesmee asked and you turned to her in confusion.
"I'm sorry ?" You replied.
"Y/n was anything but problematic." The ex-soldier stepped in and Edward glared at him.
"She made you run away from us ! We're literally your family !" The golden brunet replied and you looked down, it was the same thing all over again.
"If you all weren't that awful with her I would have never proposed her to run away with me. You all were blantly rude and totally ignored her discomfort, you made her question her whole being from her personality to her way of dressing, I had to spent years, YEARS, to help her regain her confidence again do you know how helpless I felt ? Listening to the love of my life criyng herself to sleep without being able to make her feel better because it would have just creat her some fake happiness ? Do you know how I felt when no one of you even tried to befriend her while alml of you sacrified your life plenty of times for Bella while she was just human ?! You disregarded my feelings and thought only because you were selfish enough to think that I only belonged with you. You made me run away from you." Jasper revealed with venom as his eyes darkened and the room fell silent.
"Jasper we're so sorry..." Alice's voice was small as she took a step foward and you felt Jasper hold tighten around your waist.
"The day Y/n arrived at school I- I saw you both together. And you were happy. But the rest of us weren't. And then I saw you both running away and I thought- I thought that Y/n somehow turned you against us. I saw us fighting over her I thought- I thought that she would break us apart somehow and..." Alice trailed off and you frowned slightly at the realization.
"You didn't want to lose your best friend and brother..." You finished silently and everyone turned to you.
"I know how that feels." You chuckled bitterly before moving away from Jasper's hold.
"Jasper was the first person you ever considerated family, you both spent years together before finding the rest of your family. Even I could see the close bond between you two. Between you all." You smiled softly, disappearing in the kitchen before coming back with a letter.
"I understand why you did what you did. You could have probably be less harsh sure, but I understand. And I forgive you. Not because I know that Jasper would never forgive you if I don't but because I genuinly forgive you all." You put the letter on the table and everyone awwed at your kindness.
"We got your letter Rosalie. At first I didn't believe that you would be the first one apologizing, after all you were probably the scariest, but your words really had an effect on me." You told and the blond godess smiled.
She sent you this letter over four years ago, you didn't knew how the letter actually got delivered at your house but when you received this letter, you and Jasper just had marry and it was probably one of the best wedding gift ever.
After that everyone was now in the living room, catching up with each other. Jasper was still a little bit tense, his family understood why, but you didn't pay attention to it and continued to smile, offering them a cup of blood you had in your fridge in case Jasper had an emergency. You learned about Bella's pregnancy and the whole half-human, half-vampire baby war while the Cullens learned how Jasper made a lot of improvement being around humans.
"We're very sorry for the way we treated you before Y/n." Esme apologized one last time and you shrugged it off.
"Please forget it, the past is the past and we have plenty of years ahead of us." You joked and they all smiled.
"Are you planning on being turned by the way ?" Bella asked you and shook your head causing a few of them to rose their eyes.
"I'm waiting until I'm atleast 25 years old. I want to enjoy my youth as much as possible without passing like a weird girl being married to a twenty year old librarian. But until then I'm just fine while being human." You announced and the rest of the Cullen nodded in understanding while you poured Renesmee some apple juice in a tea cup.
"I still can't believe we thought you were bad..." Emmett muttered and they all shared an awkward laugh while you brusted in a fit of giggle.
"It's okay really. And it got me some times alone with Jaz for a while." You replied and your lover passed his arms around your waist, resting her chin on your shoulder.
Then a loud gasp was heard.
"ENGAGED OR MARRIED ALREADY ?" Alice rushed to your side, grabbing yours and Jasper's hand quickly and the rest of the family widened their eyes.
"Engaged. Y/n forced me to wait until all of us will get along again. She wanted my family to attend the wedding as much as hers." Jasper kissed you cheek and you chuckled leaning into his touch.
"Bless that girl, I hope you didn't expected to have you wedding without me." Alice playfully glared and everyone laughed.
If someone would have told you five years ago that you were getting along with Jasper's family you would have give them a big sad smile with an 'I wish' for answer. Now you couldn't wait for the awaiting future with your new family.

Fated Mates pt.2
a/n: here's part two, I really like this so I hope you do too!
pt.1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your pov
“Jasper’s gonna be here soon, I better go finish cleaning up before he gets here” I sighed to my friend. She demanded that we facetime before he came over so I could tell her all about him.
“Okay just remember to get his favorite color, I have to start planning the wedding.” She smiled. I was about to yell at her when I heard Jasper’s truck pull up. Checking the mirror one last time I ran down stairs to open the door.
He smiled at me when I opened the door, “Hi”
“Hey, come on in” I chirped
Jasper’s pov
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified walking to her door. I was absolutely petrified but according to Alice that was normal. The second she opened the door with that beautiful smile on her face all of my nervousness was replaced with something else, something I often felt radiating off of Edward when Bella entered a room.
If anything could make my cold heart beat again it’d be her, I’m sure of it. My attempts to stop the “butterflies” as Alice called them, were all failing as she led me into her living room.
“So what book should we do for our project” I asked as we sat on the couch
“What about The Vampire Diaries?” She replied fairly quickly, “Have you read them?”
“Yes I have” I laughed, I actually read them not long after they started gaining popularity. I like to keep up with what people think about vampires, and Alice loves reading romances so I get forced to read them anyways.
As we started working I found myself watching her more than focusing on the actual work. I watch as she glides the scissors through the black sheet of paper, the way she cocks her head ever so slightly when she focuses on getting the edges perfect. Everything about her made me fall more in love. I wasn’t sure it was real when Alice talked endlessly about falling in love, but watching her was enough to make me believe everything Alice had rambled about in the past few decades.
Hours passed by with occasional conversation here and there, but mostly we filled it with a comfortable silence. It wasn’t awkward to be around her like when I had first saw her in class, it was easy, almost like we had known each other all our lives.
By the time the sun had set completely, we had almost finished the project completely. I couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed that I no longer had an excuse to see her more.
“Would you wanna hang out again soon? Like Friday?” She blurted as we walked to the door.
“I’d love to,” I said, a little quicker than I would’ve liked, “It’s a date”
“A date” She beamed up at me, opening the front door.
I couldn’t hide my smile as I started the drive back home.
Your pov
“Oh my god” I squealed, facetime my friend again, “we’re going on a date. Emmy, a real date!”
“What?” She yelled, clapping her hands in excitement, “when?”
“Friday”
“No way”
“I’m serious”
“I want all the gory details”
I spent the next three hours on the phone with her, going over every detail of the night up until the moment I called her.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you this excited” She laughed
“Me too, god I can’t believe he actually said yes. I was fully expecting a hard no.” I sighed, my cheeks were starting to hurt from how much I’ve been smiling. I can’t stop this feeling in my chest, screaming to be near him again.
“Is it possible for me to be in love already?” I asked, my eyes widening as I fully processed what I had actually said.
“Absolutely, and from the way you were talking about him I’d be surprised if you weren’t” She smiled, “My best friend, finally in love.”
Oh my god, I’m in love with Jasper

Story Description: A self-proclaimed 'lone-wolf,' (Y/N) had always walked through life on her own. As much as she wanted it, she could never find the right fit among other vampire covens. But when she decides to cruise through Forks, Washington she meets the famous Cullen family and their resident brooding blonde with a pessimistic point of view toward his love life. It might just take a stubborn vampire to change his mind.
A/N: I really hope I did your request justice and that you like it 💖 loved doing a Jasper request, but really missing those Rosalie ones now 😬

Sealed with a Kiss
“Well, it’s not like I wanted to be here anyways,” (Y/N) yelled out as she slammed the door of the house of yet another clan.
It was usual for her to spend limited time amongst vampire families. She’d met so many clans that had been keen on having her become a part of them. Yet as much as she wanted to belong somewhere, (Y/N) had yet to find a group that didn’t get on her last nerve in a short amount of time.
She had grown used to it – the lonely nights, the quiet trips, the constant looking over her shoulder. She had done it now for over eight decades and as time went on, she found it easier and easier to do it. Her abilities allowed for her nomadic lifestyle. Sole vampires were not known for lasting long by themselves, but no one could do what she could. (Y/N) had gotten out of some dangerous situations thanks to her illusions. No one can get you when they don’t know what they’re looking for, she would say. The girl could fend for herself, and she excelled at it.
But she wanted it. She wanted to find a place where she belonged… the someone she belonged with. Every coven she went through she’d hear the stories of how the mates had found each other, how eternity did not seem so long when they had that person by their side. Knowing there was someone out there that was destined to be by your side.
(Y/N) was okay in her own company for now. Traveling from one side of the globe to the other, becoming a story in the mouths of strangers. She entered people’s lives for a second and disappeared by the next. That’s how she had lived since she had been turned, that’s how she expected to go on for the rest of her life.
“Hi there!” A perky voice had startled her. A task only another vampire could do.
(Y/N) was standing at a clearing, sure she was alone until she was faced by a pixie-like girl and a man with prince charming hair. They were different from the vampires she had come across before. It was their eyes. The golden hue of distinction between their group – vegetarians, so to speak. She’d only heard of one family that was famously known for following such a lifestyle.
“You’re Cullens,” (Y/N) observed. She had meant for it to come out as a question. “Anything I can help you with?”
“Yes! I’m Alice,” she started. “And this is my partner, Luca. We’ve been expecting you, (Y/N) (Y/L/N).”
“I’m guessing you’re the fortune teller of the Cullens.”
Alice giggled at that. “It’s actually precognition, the psychic phenomenon of seeing, or otherwise becoming directly aware of, events in the future.”
“Alright,” she responded with a hint of annoyance. “And is that supposed to mean anything to me?”
“Well, Alice had a vision of you a little over a week ago. She knew you’d be coming here,” Luca explained. “We believe you are going to be an integral part of our family.”
“Look, as great as it would be to be part of a unit, I don’t do families,” (Y/N) said. “I’ve had my fair share of vampire clans, and I’ve left every single one.”
“The difference this time is that I know how everything will play out (Y/N).” Alice gifted the girl a warm smile, the kind that would draw anyone in.
“You crave belonging,” Luca stated. His eyes were trained on her. They had changed from their golden color to a bright emerald green. It was the first time (Y/N) had seen a power like this. She was transfixed by his gaze, but not by the peculiarity of his power, but because she felt frozen in place. “You push people away at the first sign of discomfort because it’s easier than allowing others to truly get close to you. People tick you off quickly, and that’s why you’ve led a life of solitude. Yet you deeply desire the feeling of inclusion. It’s not that you don’t like people, it’s simply that you haven’t found the ones you belong to.”
“Didn’t know I signed up for a therapy session,” (Y/N) grumbled. “Desire intuition?”
“Correct,” he smiled.
“Can’t get anything past either of you, huh?” The pair chuckled and shook their head no. The girl let out a sigh of defeat – they had her down to a t. “I guess I could give it a try.”
“That’s all we can ask for.”
The girl joined the pair in their drive back to the Cullen house.
Alice could not stop smiling as she stared at their guest through the rearview mirror. She recalled the images she had seen in her head. (Y/N), Rosalie, and her laughed as they tried on stupid outfits; them going into town and pretending to be college kids out for a drink; spending endless nights talking about their adventures and their past lives. She couldn't wait for the sisterhood the three girls would share as honorary Cullens.
Truth be told, the short vampire had another motive for being so insistent. Jasper.
Jasper Cullen had spent over a century and a half in search of his mate. Much like Edward and Rosalie, Carlisle had thought Alice would have made the perfect pair for the young vampire. Yet as hard as they tried, neither could see the other as anything more than a friend – a sibling, more like it.
Then, Luca Carmichael came into her life. A boy with hair that seemed to defy gravity and was turned after he’d asked Carlisle to do it. Just a week prior he’d been diagnosed with terminal cancer, barely days of life left, and Carlisle had given him the option of eternal life. He had just turned twenty years old and had far too much life to live. He’d been grateful to have some time to put his affairs into order, just in time to go into a surgery where he would “die” on the table. At least, his family would have closure and he could go on living for days on end.
The day after his “surgery” Carlisle brought him to the family home where he met Alice Cullen, the peppy girl who could light up any room she walked into. Not long after the pair fell in love, tying their lives together in a wedding ceremony. The moment they had met, they both knew they were destined to be together for the rest of eternity.
And that’s what Alice wanted for Jasper as well. The poor boy had led a tortured life, and she could not come up with someone that deserved love more than him – maybe (Y/N) was a close second. What she was sure of was that both of them had been waiting long enough to find the person that would make eternity bearable.
The drive wasn’t long, the car slowing down signaling (Y/N) that they had arrived at their destination. It was a beautiful residence. The perfect blend between modern architecture and the ageless flora surrounding it.
“Welcome to our humble abode,” Alice perked. “Everyone’s waiting inside.”
“Yeah, humble,” (Y/N) thought. But said, “Let’s get this over with.”
Luca opened the door for both girls, standing behind them as they made their way inside the house. And just like Alice had mentioned, the whole family was waiting around in the immense white living room. For the first time, (Y/N) felt intimidated meeting new vampires. Their golden eyes all fell upon her as she passed the threshold, and she couldn’t help but freeze in her step.
“Well, everyone this is (Y/N) (Y/L/N),” Alice announced to the room. “Come on, I’ll introduce you to everyone.”
Alice took her hand and pulled her toward all the couples in the room. She started with Carlisle and Esme Cullen, the parental figures of the clan. They both offered her a warm smile, and Esme gave her a tight hug. Then, Rosalie and Emmett. (Y/N) was taken aback by Rosalie’s unnatural beauty and Emmett’s daunting size. The blonde gave the new girl a simple smile, wary of the stranger that had just come into their home. On the other hand, Emmett picked (Y/N) up in a crippling hug that had her tensing up at the sudden contact. After came Edward, Bella, and their daughter Renesmee.
“And this is Jasper,” Alice smiled. “He’s the second youngest, right behind Luca. He does have a special ability – pathokinesis.”
“Sensing and changing emotions,” (Y/N) stated. “That’s handy.”
“It can be at times,” he responded, doing his best to suppress a chuckle that was threatening to spill.
He couldn’t help but be curious about the girl. Alice had mentioned that she would play a big role in his life, one he’d been looking to fill since Maria took his heart and ripped it to shreds. But so much time had passed that he’d given up on the idea of love. Jasper had concluded that no one was meant to spend their life with him, no matter how much he wanted them.
“Welcome to the family, (Y/N),” Luca said. “I hope you find your time with us… life-changing.”
Before she knew it, six weeks had come and gone. It had been the longest time she’d ever been with a coven without losing her mind. She’d found solace in a friendship between Rosalie, Alice, and her. She was surprised that Rose had warmed up to her in such little time. (Y/N) learned quickly that the blonde’s natural resentment toward new people came from how protective she got of her family. Once her walls came down, the three girls quickly became close friends.
For the first time in her centuries of life, (Y/N) felt like she was part of something — something that made her feel special. She passed every day with a warm feeling in her unbeating heart. She has finally found her people. She has even started adopting their vegetarian lifestyle. And they all had accepted her, welcoming her into their small family as if she’d been there her whole life. All but one person.
Jasper had strayed far from the girl. Rarely engaging in conversation, avoiding being left with her by himself, declining any invitation to go hunt. He was avoiding her like the plague and she had no idea why. (Y/N) felt a strange pull toward the man. As hard as he pulled away, the more she wanted to get closer. Still, nothing she did helped her find some common ground with the boy.
“I just don’t get why he hates me so much,” (Y/N) plopped onto the couch with a thud as Rosalie and Alice giggled at her. “Guys, it’s not funny. I sincerely think he despises me.”
“He does not,” Alice retorted. “He just doesn’t want to accept certain things he knows to be true.”
“Like what, Alice?” The brunette refused to answer, locking away the answer in her mouth. “Seriously, what do you mean by that?”
“You’re so mean, Liz,” Rosalie laughed. “She means that before you came here, she had a vision and…”
Suddenly, Alice jumped from the couch and was covering Rosalie’s mouth with her hand. She erupted in laughter as her blonde sister tried to pry her off. Though, any effort would be unsuccessful since the girl had quite a strong grip.
“Alice, if you’re not gonna tell me, I’ll get someone else to. You’ve only got two hands.”
“I just don’t want anyone to interfere,” she resigned. “You’re both supposed to get to this conclusion by yourself. And I don’t want anyone meddling and changing the future.”
“But it’s been so long and nothing has changed between jasper and I,” (Y/N) sighed. “Can’t you just push us in the right direction?”
“Nope!” Alice responded as she took off running, a blur of blues and brown disappearing into the forest.
But (Y/N) was stronger, faster, and an excellent tracker. She was able to follow Alice to every corner she tried to conceal herself in. They zoomed from one side to another, trying their best to put a stop to their conversation. Alice wanted things to happen naturally between Jasper and (Y/N). She had seen her best friend be so miserable for so long, she wanted nothing to get in the way of his happiness — not even herself.
At one point, Alice lost track of the direction the other girl was going and did not notice she was headed straight into her. They collided with a loud bang, (Y/N) making quick work to pin Alice to the ground.
“Please, Alice!” she exclaimed. “Just tell me what you know.”
“Fine,” she giggled softly as she pushed the girl off her. “I saw the life you’ll have with Jasper. You two, you’re meant to be together.”
(Y/N) couldn’t help the snort that came out before she started laughing. “Me and Jasper?” she laughed. “He can barely stand in the same room as me, and we’re meant to be soulmates or something? I was thinking friends, but mates?”
“Have you not wondered why you’ve found your place so easily with us?” Alice ignored the girl’s cluelessness. It was an amusing thought but knowing what she knew gave her peace of mind. “You were meant to find us — or we were meant to find you. You’ve always belonged in this family, and you belong with Jasper.”
Realization dawned on the girl. Her whole life she had been searching for the place she fit in, the people she fit in with, and now they were at an arm’s reach. Still, dread fell upon her as she understood just how hard Jasper was working to avoid her. But (Y/N) was nothing if not determined, and she would get him to pay attention to her.
She devised a plan with Alice and Rosalie to force them into close confines. If they were stuck in the same space, they would have to talk eventually.
“Jas, can you help me with something in the office?” (Y/N) heard Alice call out. She was inside the room, pacing inside as nerves and anxieties flowed through her. “It’ll be very quick!”
The girl heard the man’s footsteps up the stairs, slow, steady, harmonious. He always walked with a melodious stride, she’d noticed. Everything about him was a work of art, as beautiful and as captivating as any masterpiece in a museum. And much like a masterpiece, she could look but she could not touch.
“Alice?” Jasper’s voice rang through the room before the doors closed and locked behind him. “What the hell? Alice?! I’m locked in here!”
“That’s on purpose,” (Y/N) said meekly. “I asked her to do this.”
“(Y/N), I-I… what’s going on?”
“I’d like to ask you the same thing,” she retorted.
“What ever could you mean?” Jasper stammered. “It was unknown to me that there was anything going on between you and I.”
“And that’s the problem, Jasper,” the girl breathed. “I have been here for months now, and we haven’t had a single conversation beyond passerby chats and one-worded answers. We both know we’re meant for much more than that.”
“I don’t think I am meant for much anymore,” he chuckled dryly, turning from (Y/N)’s burning gaze. “After a century and a half of being by myself, I’ve renounced myself to solitude. No vision from Alice could change that.”
“But I’m here now, Jasper,” she reached out. “Aren’t I proof enough?”
“Alice’s visions change. I’ve seen it happen many times,” he continued. “Just because you’re here now doesn’t mean you’re permanent. I mean, you’ve said it yourself, you don’t last long with families.”
“You and I both know you’re being absolutely stubborn.” (Y/N) was growing desperate. The more she tried to break down his walls, the harder she hit herself against them. “What is it gonna take for you to at least give me a chance?”
“Look, (Y/N), I’m sure you are a very nice girl and someone out there is the right person for you,” Jasper sighed. He ran his fingers through his hair in frustration, the conversation becoming far too personal for his liking. “It simply can’t be me. I think it would be best if you just moved on, (Y/N).”
The blonde started to mess with the door’s lock, knowing his way expertly around the house. But before he could open the door completely, his back was slammed against the massive wooden doors. (Y/N) was closer to him than she ever had been before, he could feel her unnecessary breath on his perfect face. She was strong, stronger than any opponent he ever faced. It surprised him.
“I’m not going anywhere, Jasper,” she said. His jaw was held firmly by her hand, forcing him to stare directly into her eyes and nowhere else. “I finally understand that my place is here, and I know it is by your side. So whether you like it or not, you are stuck with me. It’s about time you deal with it.”
In a surprising turn of events, Jasper allowed himself to feel her emotions — how pure and intense they radiated off her. He was overwhelmed with the rush and did something completely uncharacteristically. The man flew his hands up to her face and pulled her into a deep and passionate kiss.
The sudden action startled (Y/N), but it didn’t take long before she melted into the man’s embrace. He’d leaped from avoidance to a very physical display of his affection.
What was unbeknownst to the girl was that Jasper was always listening. A trait he’d used as Major, Jasper always kept an ear to the ground. Whilst she opened up to his family members, he was gathering knowledge. To her, he was still a complete stranger. But he already knew why they fit just right.
“Well, that was a quick turnaround,” (Y/N) chuckled as they separated. “I should have locked you in a room a couple of weeks ago.”
“I’m sorry I pushed you away this whole time, (Y/N),” he said, a little of his southern accent slipping through as he let his guard down. “I have never had the best luck in matters of the heart – some could say I’ve had the worst luck. It was easier for me to simply give up and abandon any idea of a romantic partnership. Building up walls seemed to be the rational thing to do. Even when Alice revealed her vision, I went out of my way to convince myself it wasn’t real – even as you walked through the doors. Distancing myself from this situation was easier than opening myself up to the possibility of heartache. If I allowed myself to be close to you and you then chose to leave, I don’t think I could handle it.”
“Well, you’re in luck, Mr. Cullen,” she grinned as she wrapped her arms around his neck. “I’m not going anywhere.”
They weren’t sure when they fell in synch with each other, but it wasn’t long before the pair was inseparable. No longer were they considered individuals, much liked the rest of the family, they were now known as (Y/N) and Jasper – where one was, the other was always close.
As time passed, the two grew closer and closer. Confessing to each other the sins of their past lives. Who they were, who they used to be, who they wished to become. Yet, neither noticed they were falling for each other.
For Jasper, it started when he felt comfortable. Whenever he was with her, he felt the same way he’d make others feel. There was a calmness that fell upon him. Where he was usually on edge and the bloodthirst taking over his sense, now there was simply her. (Y/N) brought upon Jasper the necessary component to anchor him to the moment. She made him feel in control – behind her eyes she didn’t hold the worry and pity his family always had. He felt seen.
(Y/N) didn’t recognize the change at first, but everyone else did. The girl was less sarcastic, less snappy – just less. She involved herself more with the Cullen family, immersing herself in their lives and their stories. Then she noticed she stopped feeling trapped. The need to escape and disappear had dissolved from within her. She finally found the space where she belonged, the arms she fit between, the life she had longed for.
“Is this how everyone feels?” (Y/N) blurted out. Jasper and she were laying on the ground in a clearing, their eyes studying the starry night sky.
“What do you mean, darling?” Jasper chuckled. She played with his pale fingers, trailing up his forearms, tracing the scattered scars that lived there. When others touched his bare arms, he’d flinch at their touch. But not with (Y/N), never with her.
“Love,” she confessed. “I don’t think I’ve ever felt this way before. I’ve been going through life thinking I knew what happiness was, but during these months with you by my side, I now know I was merely having a taste. I’m in love with you, Jasper. And for the first time, I’m not afraid of that feeling.”
Jasper propped himself on his elbow, using his free hand to brush away some hair from (Y/N)’s face. His lips traced hers, a mere ghost of a touch to the flesh. There was a glistening gaze behind their eyes, a smile stretched against their faces.
"I’m in love with you too, (Y/N),” he whispered. “Completely and irrevocably in love with you.”
They closed the distance between them, savoring the moment with their mouths. Their arms wrapped around each other, leaving no space in between.  They rolled around the grass, engulfed in a fit of laughter and kisses. At that moment, they were sure the world did not exist. It was just them and nothing more.
It’s funny how life simply happens to you, (Y/N) thought. She had gone through decades of life feeling lost and unwelcomed, hoping for the day she could finally feel at peace. The girl had built up her walls, her defenses the only thing protecting her heart against reality. All it took was an impromptu trip to Forks, Washington for her life to fall on the track it was always supposed to be on.
“Where are we?” Jasper broke her out of her thoughts.
The scenery around them had transformed, and (Y/N) knew exactly where they were. Her brain had shared a vision between them. “This is my favorite place on earth,” she smiled. “It’s where I used to go to when I felt lost. The place where I’ve always felt safe.”
“Used to?”
“That place is now with you,” she responded. “This is now just a beautiful memory for me.”
“No,” he chuckled.
“No?”
“This will now be the place where I will promise before everyone we know to be by your side until forever ends,” Jasper smiled. “If that sounds like something you’d like, darling.”
“I would love nothing more,” she grinned. “You know, Jasper, that means you’ll be stuck with me for a very long time. Do you think you can handle that?”
“From now until the end of time,” Jasper returned the grin. “That I will promise you.”
A promise he sealed with a kiss.

☼ replica pt3 (Jasper Whitlock) ☼
Tumblr media
summary; alice finds out the trust about you.
warnings; swearing, a couple threats.
wc; 1.3k
notes; i will not be making a part 4 to this. do not ask.
If life somehow turns out the opposite of what you’re hoping for, and you end up teaching, then you’re going to make a vow to never hand out tests, ever. You get the purpose of them, it’s to test the information of what you’ve been learning for the past unit, but is it really necessary?
You’ve got high grades on all of the assignments so far, maybe a few questions marked off, but nothing that he should be genuinely concerned about. Besides, each time he calls on you in class, you know the answer to the question. It’s not like you sit there with a ‘yikes!’ facial expression, waiting for someone behind you to cough out the answer.
You think they should start giving tests to the students who aren’t passing the assignments but could ace a test, give them the chance to raise their grade. You guess that it doesn’t really work that way, though, does it? Normally the students are good at the homework and they fail the tests because it’s hard to be prepared when you’re put on the spot—weeks notice in advance or not.
Well, the least the teacher can do is lower the impact on grades. All you’re saying is: why should one test decide whether or not you pass or fail a class? Especially when you’ve been so good about homework and trying to study for the mini quizzes? Why should one test put you behind? It’s bullshit.
Unfortunately, all of that being said, you’ve got one of your first exams of the year coming up next week. This year, the teachers at Forks High School have decided to semi-band together and try not to schedule their exams on the same day if they can help it. It allows the students who benefit from cramming to actually succeed.
You used to be like that, a long time ago. Until you realized that if you start studying weeks in advance, by the time you reach the test, you’re prepared and the information is second nature, and not bobbing around on the top of your head. You wish you could’ve learned this trick a long time ago, probably would’ve saved a lot of tears.
You flip another page in the notebook, trying to read what you wrote a couple weeks ago, but you’re only skimming the sentences, absorbing half the information. You let out a sigh and roll over on your bed, staring at the ceiling for a moment. You need a break, just a few minutes will be better than sitting here struggling.
You slide off of the bed, stretching your arms above your head. Right as you let out a yawn, a tingling—almost tickling—sensation begins in your stomach. You let your arms fall to your sides, eyebrows twitching together, reaching for your bedroom door knob.
You hurry out, down the hall, and down the stairs. You’re home alone, for now. Your parents shouldn’t be back for another two hours, at the very least. And since they decided that you were enough of a handful, they never gave you any siblings. It’s a shame, you’re sure that you could’ve been bothering them instead of being responsible.
The tickling goes gut-wrenching as you swing the front door open, mouth screwed. You already know who it is before the door opens all the way. You can see her black sleeves, and then the sleeveless puffy white vest that she’s wearing—as if an outfit like that makes any sense in weather like this. You suppose that it doesn’t matter to her, though, she doesn’t feel the cold.
Alice Cullen stands on your porch, fist raised to knock on your door. She’s wearing an outfit that you’ve never seen her wear before, very in character. She and the rest of the Cullens seem to have an endless closet, and it never repeats. Makes you wonder where the used clothes go. Do they donate them in mass? That’s at least three-hundred and sixty-five outfits. At least.
“Alice.” You smile, “How are you? I haven’t seen you at school in a couple of days.”
She presses her lips together, nearly looking you up and down, “Can I come in?”
“Not really.” You shrug, “I can’t have friends over unless they’re approved by parents, if they even catch wind of it, I’ll be grounded forever.”
“It’ll only be a minute.” She tries to reason, taking a step forward.
“I said no.” You tell her, watching her face. You’re not afraid of her, or her persistence. You’re not moving from this doorway. You’re not going to invite her into your house.
She takes a deep breath, “Fine, I wanted to ask if you’ll stay away from Jasper. You’re causing problems between the two of us, I’m sure you understand.”
Your face twists, “Jasper and I are only friends. There’s nothing more between us beside that.”
“Regardless, it’s not coming off that way.” Alice squints at you, “You’ll find other friends at Forks, it’s not hard. Bella found friends easily.”
“Yes, she did, didn’t she?” You murmur, eyes wandering away from her face and onto the street, “A whole nest of vampires that call themselves vegetarians.”
Alice straightens stiffly, face smoothing out to become unreadable. You tilt your head at her slightly, wondering how much you should reveal to her. It truly was a coincidence that your parents wanted to move here to Forks, but it was a complete accident that you’d find Jasper again.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She manages to get out.
“What, like it’s some sort of secret?” You muse, “You couldn’t be more obvious.”
It’s nice, watching Alice squirm in front of you. You’re sure that it’s not easy to get a vampire to do that. How they didn’t pick up on your questions to Jasper is a whole different story. Little details, allowing you to put the pieces together.
Honestly, when you first arrived, it was a whole new place. It wasn’t until Jasper noticed you, and insisted to stay and talk to get that bit of nostalgia, did your memories—very faded memories—begin to come back to you. Not quite in black and white, but it would’ve been appropriate for that time period.
It’s the way he would talk to you carefully, predict your movements before you made them, you knew he had something to do with your distant past. And when he said, “It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen her face” while avoiding your eyes, and he talks so specifically that it’s impossible not to pick up on.
Last week you meditated for the first time since you moved here, and the answers came to you slowly. Who you were back then, what you meant to Jasper. You vaguely remember seeing him at some point after you’d turned eighteen, but you were so distracted by the whirlwind that consumed your life. You died peacefully, and since you led a kind life, you were brought back here.
You were reincarnated to haunt a boy you’d lost several lifetimes ago.
You wish you could say that you felt strongly toward him. Maybe feelings of love or hatred or anything—it’s nothing more than friendship. If he feels some sort of other way, you’re not sure if you’ll feel the same way at all. It doesn’t mean that you won’t try, though.
And maybe in some capacity you feel bad for Alice. However, with her showing up on your doorstep, demanding that you leave Jasper alone, who is practically five times your age, then that is not a you problem, that’s a him problem. You’re not in control here, he is.
Alice has composed herself, you’ve closed the door another couple of inches, trying to signal to her that it’s time to go, “Listen, Alice, I have no interest in stealing your husband. If you’re concerned about it, you should talk to him.” You lean forward slightly. “And if you come to my doorstep again, trying to tell me how to live my life, I will ruin yours, understand?”

Baseball:
“What do you mean I can’t come?” I frowned at the blonde vampire. We were walking through school on our way to our last class before the day would be over. Jasper had just told me about what he and his family had planned for later today and as soon as I heard that, I wanted to come. But he wouldn’t allow it.
“I mean, you can’t come.” I glared at him, but he just shook his head with a smile. I couldn’t understand why not. It was just baseball.
We walked into the classroom and took our seats next to each other. Jasper, who had been holding my hand the whole time, let go to take his stuff out of his bag. I did the same but decided to ignore him for the rest of the class.
He soon tried to take my hand underneath the table, but I pulled it away. I could see the confused look on his face out of the corner of my eye and grinned internally. Now he knows how I feel when he won’t explain stuff.
It continued like that for the hour we spent inside the classroom. Whether it was physical touch, notes he tried to pass me or when he tried to speak to me, I ignored it all. And as soon as the bell rung, I grabbed my stuff and jumped to my feet. As quickly as I could, I left the room and made my way to another classroom, where I knew that Alice was having her last lesson for the day.
I waited outside the door, growing slightly nervous as I saw Jasper walking towards me.
“Come on Alice.” It was barely a whisper, but Jasper clearly picked up on it because his eyes widened and his pace quickened. But before he could reach me, Alice walked out and noticed me.
“Hey Y/N!” She hugged me carefully.
“Hey Alice. I have a question. Jasper told me that you’re planning on playing baseball tonight. Can I come?” Alice eyes lit up and a grin took over her face.
“Of course-” “No!” Both of us turned to look at Jasper who’d just arrived at our side.
“Well, Alice said that it’s okay for me to come along. So, I will.” I grinned, proud that I found a way. He looked annoyed, but the grin wouldn’t disappear anytime soon.
Jasper tried to argue with me, just as the rest of his siblings joined us.
“What’s going on?” Emmet had his arm around Rose and smiled at us.
“I’m tagging along to your baseball game.” Jasper opened his mouth to disagree, but I shot him a glare and with an exaggerated sigh, he gave up.
“Yes! Finally! I thought Jasper would never let you join us.” Emmet and I high fived before our little group walked out of the school building. Our ways parted at the parking space. While the others jumped into one car, Jasper and I got into another one and took off. He had been silent the whole way and I started to feel bad.
“Jasper…” He glanced at me for a second before his eyes returned to the road. I sighed before I continued. “I didn’t do this because I want to hurt you or something like that. But I want to be part of your life. No matter how dangerous it may be. I love you and I love how protective you are of me, but I still need to experience stuff. You can’t shelter me from the entire world.” This time, he sighed and nodded. His hand moved to my lap, where he slid his hand into mine and intertwined our fingers.
“I know, love…I just…it’s going to be loud and I know how you react to loud noises. I don’t want you to be uneasy or in pain.” He glanced at me again, a concerned look on his face. I smiled in return.
“I’ll take some earplugs, as well as my noise cancelling headphones with me, okay? And if it gets too much for me, I’ll let you know immediately. And even if I don’t, Edward definitely will. Besides, you’d also feel it.” Jasper nodded and squeezed my hand.
“Okay. Let’s get your stuff and maybe you should change.” I looked down at what I was wearing. The flowy dress I had put on that morning reached just above my knee and the matching ballerinas I slipped into seemed more and more unfitting the longer I looked at them.
“Yeah…that’s probably a good idea.” Jasper grinned and without taking his eyes off the road, he raised my hand to his lips and pressed a soft kiss against my knuckles.
We soon pulled into my driveway and Jasper got out. Before I could even attempt to open my door, he was there and opened it for me.
“I swear…I anyone ever sees you doing that, I’m going to kill you.” He smiled. Both of us knew that that would never happen.
He accompanied me to the door, where he gave me a goodbye kiss. Nothing but an act to keep my mother of our backs for a bit. I waved him goodbye before he walked back to his car and drove away. After telling my mom that I was home and that Jasper would pick me up again in an hour, I rushed up to my room, finding Jasper already waiting for me.
He was leaning against the windowsill and grinned. I rushed over to him and fell into his arms. At school, both of us tried to not show too much PDA, but once we’re alone, we could cuddle, hold hands and kiss as much as we wanted.
His arms were wrapped around my waist, holding me close to him. I looked up at the vampire and smiled.
“Hi.” With a soft smile, he rarely showed, he leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to my lips.
“Hi.” I grinned back at him, before I pulled away from the hug. I walked to my wardrobe and pulled out a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Without hesitating, I slipped out of my dress and grabbed the shirt. I was about to pull it on, when two cold hands closed around my waist and pulled me flat against a chiseled chest.
Jaspers lips immediately latched onto my neck and started nibbling on my skin. A shiver ran through me, making the man behind me chuckle. He spun me around and pressed his lips against mine while his hands traveled to my thighs. Without any effort, he hoisted me up. My legs automatically wrapped around his waist, making him groan quietly.
I pulled away with a giggle and held a finger in front of my lips. We really had to be quiet. Explaining my mom why Jasper and I were making out would be easy, but explaining to her how he got into my room without her noticing, would be a completely different story.
He used his nose to push my finger out of the way, pressing his lips against mine again. His grip on my thighs got tighter and tighter and I knew that I would have bruises in the morning, but I didn’t mind. Neither did I mind it when he started marking my neck.
Of course, no one dared to even think about me in a romantic way since Jasper and I became public, but he still loved marking me. Just as I loved marking him.
A moan escaped my lips as his teeth bit down on that one spot. As a response he suddenly crashed me against the wall, reclaiming my lips. Neither of us noticed the noise that had traveled downstairs.
“Y/N? Are you alright?” My head was clouded, barely registering my mom’s voice. But Jasper’s lips felt way too good on mine. And answering would’ve meant pulling away from them.
“Y/N?” This time her voice sounded closer and both of us pulled away at the same time, eyes wide and breathing hard.
“S-Sorry! I just…I lost balance while trying to put on some jeans. I’m okay though!” I prayed that she bought my excuse. My eyes were pressed shut as I anxiously waited for a response.
“Be more careful next time.” I heard her footsteps walk away from my room and I sighed in relief, my eyes flickering down to the blonde vampire who still had me pressed against the wall. He smiled sheepishly.
“Sorry ‘bout that, love.” I rolled my eyes with a smile and leaned down, to peck his lips. After pulling away again, I took a deep breath and leaned my head against the wall, eyes closed. That was a scary moment. I was still trying to calm my beating heart, when I felt a tug on my left breast. My hand flew up to my mouth to stifle the moan that rushed out of my mouth. Jasper smirked against my skin, before he bit down again, no doubt leaving a mark.
My hand stayed pressed over my mouth until his lips and teeth stopped their assault. As soon as I was sure he was done, my eyes flickered open and found his honey-colored ones.
“Couldn’t resist.” He grinned and I gently slapped his shoulder, not wanting to hurt myself.
He slowly set me down but held onto me until he was sure I was steady. One more kiss before I slowly pushed him back, giving myself some space to put on the clothes I’d chosen earlier. After I was done, I checked the time and noticed that the hour I had told my mom about was almost over.
“Don’t you need to get changed too?” Jasper looked surprised. He had forgotten about that. I chuckled at his reaction and pushed him towards the window.
“Go get ready. I’ll be waiting outside.” He nodded and climbed onto the windowsill. Before he jumped down, he demanded one more kiss. With a smile, I cupped his face and pressed my lips against his one more time. This time, I had to stop him before it got to heated again. An annoyed groan left his lips, but I just pushed him out with a smile.
He landed gracefully and waved before he disappeared into the woods. It wouldn’t take him longer than ten minutes to be back, so I quickly grabbed a bag and threw everything I thought I might need inside.
Ear plugs, headphones, phone, keys and wallet. I also grabbed Jasper’s baseball cap, which he had left at my place a few weeks ago, and put it on. I was about to walk out of my room, when I remembered that I’d be wearing sneakers instead of ballerinas. I grabbed a pair of socks and made my way downstairs. Sitting down on the last stair, I first pulled on the socks and then my favorite pair of sneakers.
My mom walked out of the living room with a smile.
“Are you okay honey?” I was confused for a second before I remembered my ‘fall’.
“Yeah, probably gonna have a bruise tomorrow though.” That wasn’t a lie. Technically.
I just got done with lacing up my sneakers when I heard a car horn outside. He was quick today.
After checking that I really had everything, I jumped to my feet and pressed a kiss to my mom’s cheek.
“I’ll call you when we’re on our way back.” She nodded and wished me a good time, before she opened the door for me. I ran out and jumped into Jaspers waiting arms. He caught me and spun a few times, making me laugh. As he set me down, I turned back to the door, seeing my mom still standing in it and watching the two of us with a smile. She waved and Jasper returned the gesture, before he opened the car door for me and I slipped inside.
We soon arrived at a clearing, hidden away in the middle of the woods. No human would come across this. Especially not with the looming rainclouds above our head.
Jasper, as always, opened my door and I stepped out, smiling as I saw the rest of the Cullen family. I walked over to Carlisle and Esme, which I hadn’t seen in some time and hugged both of them.
“It’s nice that you finally got him to agree to let you come with us.” Before I could answer, Jasper appeared at my side, holding my bag.
“I didn’t. She asked Alice and she said yes. This little minx tricked me.” I grinned up at my boyfriend and stuck out my tongue, causing the others around me to chuckle.
With Jasper’s arm around my waist, we walked over to his siblings. Emmet and Rose were already swinging bats, making fun of each other. Alice was off to side, staring at the sky while Edward was staring at his phone. He was probably texting Bella.
I slipped out of Jasper’s grip and walked over to the brunette, tapping him on the shoulder. He looked up and raised an eyebrow in question.
“You should invite her next time. It would be nice to not be the only human.” He chuckled and nodded, before turning back to his phone.
I returned to Jasper who had picked up a bat and played around with it. As he noticed me approaching he stopped, instead holding it out to me.
“Have you ever played?” I shook my head and without saying anything else, he stepped behind me and wrapped his arms around me, placing his hands over mine. With the bat in hand, he slowly showed me how to swing and after a few tries, he pulled back, letting me try on my own. He nodded, satisfied and grabbed a ball, standing a few steps away from me. He raised an eyebrow and I nodded. He gently threw the ball in my direction and I tried my best to hit, barely missing it.
Emmet’s booming laugh could be heard all over the clearing, making me turn and glare at him. He just raised his hands and turned back to Rose.
“Don’t worry about them. You were really close, love.” Jasper had retrieved the ball and stood back at his position. I nodded at him and this time I managed to actually hit the small. It didn’t fly far, but it flew, and a grin took over my face. I jumped up and down in celebration and was soon joined by Jasper, who had just quickly caught the ball.
He wrapped his arms around me, and he twirled me around. I was laughing in his arms as Alice’s voice rung out across the field.
“It’s time.” Jasper sat me down and slipped his hand in mine. I was confused. It was time for what? My boyfriend led me over to where his family was already gathered. They were choosing teams when we arrived.
“You are with me, Alice and Edward.” Carlisle addressed Jasper, who nodded.
“And you are going to be the referee.” Esme grinned at me and I chuckled.
“Sounds good.” They took their places but before they started, Jasper handed me my bag.
“Put at least the ear plugs in. You’re going to need them.” I nodded and did what he told me. His team was the first one to run, so for the first hit, Jasper stayed by my side with his arms around me. I cuddled into his embrace, getting ready for…whatever really. I didn’t know what to expect. But as Rose pitched the ball and Edward hit it with his bat, I knew what Jasper was talking about. I jumped at the loud noise which carried even through my ear plugs. Jasper immediately gave of a calming wave and the two of us watched as the others rushed around.
“Do you now know why I didn’t want you to come?” I nodded but smiled at him.
“I’m still glad that I did. I’ll just put on the headphones too and I’ll be fine. I promise.” Jasper nodded, concern written all over his face, but at least he didn’t drag me back to the car.
The next one to hit was Carlisle and Jasper continued to hold me. I was now wearing the headphones and had music playing. The noise wasn’t as bad this time so I didn’t jump. Plus, I knew what was coming and could prepare myself accordingly.
The game continued and Jasper’s team was in the lead. But soon, it started to rain. Something the others didn’t really mind. Jasper immediately handed me an umbrella, before he continued.
By the time the game was over and Jasper’s team had won, all of them were completely soaked and covered in mud. I laughed as Jasper walked up to me, his arms wide open. The closer he got, the further I backed away, until it turned into a play of catch. Jasper never actually touched me, just chased me until I took refuge in his car. He acted as if he was about to open the door when I quickly flicked the lock and stuck my tongue out. He chuckled and shook his head before he used some of the mud to draw a small heart on the window, making me smile.
I watched him walk to the back of the car and opening the trunk. He used the door as a cover and quickly changed into dry and clean clothes.
The other came to the car and bid their goodbyes. I waved at them as Jasper jumped into the driver’s seat and started the engine. I smiled at him, my fingers combing through his wet locks. He caught my hand and pulled it down, placing kissed to my fingertips before intertwining our fingers.
Music came out of the stereo and Jasper and I started to sing along, laughing at each other’s skills. Or lack thereof. Too soon, we pulled into my driveway.
“Are you coming to my room?” Jasper nodded at my question and got out of the car, opening my door quickly. As always, he accompanied me to the front door, where we shared a goodbye kiss before he returned to his car and drove off.
I quickly greeted my mom and she asked me how it was.
“Fun. As always.” She smiled and I kissed her cheeks before I walked up the stairs. Jasper was waiting for me and wrapped his arms around me as soon as I walked in. I giggled as quietly as possible as I felt his wet locks against my face.
“What?” He had slightly pulled back, but his question wasn’t genuine, given away by the grin on his face. With a smile off my own, I pushed him until he was sitting on my bed, before I disappeared into my bathroom and grabbed a towel. I returned and sat down behind him, starting to dry his hair with said towel. The longer it went on, the more he leaned against me, until his head rested against my chest. I looked down and smiled at him, before leaning over him to press a kiss to his lips.
With his supernatural speed, he maneuvered the two of us so that he was laying on the bed and I was straddling him. I rolled my eyes with a smile and leaned down again, continuing the kiss before I laid down on his chest. His arms wrapped around me and I sighed with content.
We spent the rest of the day like this, quietly talking to each other until I started to get tired. Jasper had me get changed, ignoring my protests that I was too tired, before pulling me close to him and wrapping the blanket around the two of us. My head rested on his arm while his lips were softly pressed against the crown of my head.
It didn’t take long for me to get drowsy and it got harder and harder to keep my eyes open.
“Go to sleep, love. I’ll be here when you wake up.” I nodded against his chest and closed my eyes.
And he kept his word, being the first thing I saw when I woke up.

"Darlin'?" his country accent rings out through your dark and empty room, his vampire eyes easily letting him locate you hurried in the covers on your bed where you sniffle quietly.
He watches in the reflection of your mirror as you squeeze your eyes shut, almost af if it would hide you from the world. If he wasn't so worried about you right now he'd chuckle at the sincerity and childishness at it.
"Bad day, Darlin?" he tries again, and you hum back in response - unable to get your voice to work right now.
At that, he's kicking off his shoes and climbing into bed with you, turning your lamp on as he goes so you can see him. Her pulls you close to him and holds you tight.
"want to talk about it?"
You shake your head no.
"want me to use my gift?"
You hesitate, but ultimately shake your head no.
"... want me to leave?"
You shake your head no.
His thumb rubs soothing circles into your side and the sniffles die down eventually. "I'll let you have tonight, but I want you to talk to me tomorrow. Is that okay, sugar?" his accent becomes a bit thicker in the vulnerable moment.
You nod, turning over and hugging him tightly. Face buried in his neck and arms holding him tight, you mumble a small "thank you, Jasper" before you fall asleep in his icy warm embrace.

gn!reader x jasper hale (smut)
words: 910
summary: you decide to rebel against your parents by letting Jasper mark you all over, but it quickly turns to even more than that.
Tumblr media
“Woah darlin’, calm down now,” Jasper tells you, keeping one hand in your hair. Your mouth is on his icy cold neck, leaving kisses everywhere. He doesn’t have blood, so he can’t get hickeys, but if he could then he would’ve been covered by now. He tried again to tell you to calm down, but all he could focus on was your warm breathe on his neck.
“You always cover me in hickeys, so maybe it’s my turn,” you tell him with a smirk. You’re sitting in his lap, the two of you on his bed, and despite the fact you’re looking down at him, he’s in full control.
“You don’t like when I leave marks on you?” he asks, already knowing the answer. He gives that perfect smile that’s been burned into your memory.
“I love it,” you whisper sensually in his ear. You hear a low moan in the back of his throat as he grabs you by the waist. He lifts you up and roughly places you down on the mattress below him.
“Sweetheart, I’m gonna leave you covered by the time we’re done here. Everyone will know you’re mine,” he tells you.
“I was hoping you’d say that,” you respond.
“Why’s that?” he asks with a grin. You think back to the fight with your parents you’d had before you’d left home. You fell asleep without a shirt on, your parents noticed one of the hickeys on your chest, and they were not pleased. You assured them that it was fine. You still had amazing grades, great relationships with your friends, and your own hobbies, but they hated the idea you were having sex, especially not with someone they didn’t trust, like Jasper.
Jasper lifts up your chin, kissing you your jaw, bringing you back into reality.
“My parents and I are fighting about you again,” you say between breathy moans, “they think you’re a bad influence.”
“I am,” he said while slipping his hand under your shirt. You wanted to listen to his thick southern accent forever, hearing him call out your name in it. You tugged at his shirt, lifting it up. He quickly took it off, and you did the same with your own. Your chest was now exposed and he began kissing you all over. He left hickeys up and down your chest, your waist, your neck, everywhere. Anywhere he could reach your soft, warm skin he pressed his tongue to it. He knew neither of you would be satisfied until you were fully covered in hickeys.
He pulled away from you, slowly unbuckling his pants just to tease you. He unbottoned your pants next and pulled them off you, leaving kisses along your hips. He pulled down your undewear just enough to expose you and began to kiss you there. He licked your bare skin slowly, causing you to buck your hips with excitement.
He moved back up to your neck, kissing and leaving hickies there again, but he kept a firm grip on your hips. His mouth trailed down to your collarbones, and left more marks there. You knew he was trying to tease you. As he pulled away to let you gasp for air you looked noticed a tent in his boxers, and you knew you craved him. He began to slowly grind against you, his hard pressing up against you in the most satisfying way, causing you to beg for him.
“Please Jasper, I need you,” you moaned out. He began to kiss and suck one of your nipples. You jumped in pleasure as he put one of his cold hands between your thighs, roughly spreading them open. He stopped kissing your chest, and began to kiss you. His tongue was in your mouth, his hard cock was rubbing against you, and you were in pure bliss. He pulled away from the kiss and pushed a few strands of hair out of your face.
“Oh darlin’, I’m not even done with my tongue yet,” he told you before moving back down between your thighs. He grabbed you by the hips and began to tease you with his tongue. He traced it along your inner thighs, causing your hips to jump again.
“Please, Jas,” you begged. You saw him smile up at you before begining to give you head. His tongue moved in the most perfect ways. He kissed and licked you everywhere, and you had never felt more pleasure. His hands were firmly gripped on your thighs, and his tongue moved swiftly. You let out shaky mones as your got closer to your climax, but his movements never faltered. Before you could even register the thought, you had already came. Your legs were shaking from the pleasure.
He sat up, brushing more hair out of your face. He wiped some sweat off of your face before gently kissing your forehead. It was hard to tell if you liked him more gentle and sweet or rough and dominating. You sat up, resting in his arms. The two of you peacfully laid there, skin to skin, for what could’ve been forever. He shifted and got out of bed, having to force himself to let go of your hand.
“It’s getting late,” he told you as he gathered both of your clothes. “You should get home before it’s dark, or else I might have to punish you next time,” he whispered seductively as he left a final hickey on your neck.

Jasper sat in the bed placed in his room, his mate resting her back against his chest. His arms were wrapped around her waist and his face found its way into her hair. Her hands were placed on top of his on her waist, relishing in the feeling of comfort he gave her.
They were a strange pair, the two. The bloodthirsty vampire fighting his instincts to feed and the helpless human girl who wouldn’t be able to fight him if she tried.
But she trusted him with her whole heart. It had been hard at first. She had to marinate in the knowledge of the existence of vampires, and he suffered the constant smell of her sweet scent, calling out to him every second.
It was so hard for him, even on a good day. Her smell of her blood always drew him in.
The only thing holding him back from draining her was the feeling he knew he wouldn’t fight the minute her body became lifeless: dread.
But now, they laid in each other’s arms in complete trust.
Her hand wandered up his forearm, stopping at the unevenness of his skin. She looked down, pulling his sleeve up briefly.
Bite marks and scratches laid all up and down his forearm. She didn’t want to know how far up his arm it went, thankful for the sleeve.
She felt him shift. He felt uncomfortable. Scared of her reaction. But above all else, he cared for her. She could practically feel his gift poking at her emotions, intertwining them with his. A sense of calmness fell over the two of them before words could form.
Her hand still laid against his arm gently, her thumb brushing one of the bites to comfort him in her own way.
She felt his head move away from hers, leaning back against the bed frame. She used this opportunity to turn in his grip, now facing him. Once there, she pulled his arm into her lap, her eyes inspecting the scars in front of her.
He simply watched. He couldn’t hide them, and he would never lie. Not to her. So, he simply sat there to let her ask him or draw her own conclusions.
She finally looked up, her eyes locking on his. She’s thankful of his gift, because otherwise, she may have been teary-eyed. “T….Tell me, Jasper?”
His eyes softened. God, she was so good to him. So perfect. So innocent and pure. Everything he knew he wasn’t.
Her blood would be so easy to take. The feeling of adrenaline would be worth the-
“It’s… a long story, Princess. I don’t think you wanna hear it.”
She was visibly hurt by his answer, her hand retreating from his. “Oh. I… I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to pry… I just… just thought…”
He chuckles to himself, teasing her, “Thought what, Princess? You really wanna know?”
She nods, her eyes glossy, holding an unreadable expression.
He sighs. He wanted to hold off from telling her this. That was his plan. But now, she had ruined the perfect plan in his head. Not that he could be mad at her. His heart couldn’t do that.
He pulls his sleeve up his other arm, showing her the scarring. “D’you know much about the Civil War, Darlin’?”
She nods, her eyes never leaving his forearm.
He smiles, “Good girl. Knew you would.” He took a deep breath, not that he needed to, but it allowed him to collect himself and decide what to say. “I was turned during the Civil War. A woman named Maria convinced me to help her train a vampire army. I was foolish and naive. I thought she was doing the right thing.”
He looked up at her to gauge her reaction. She simply stared at the scars, her head low in thought. He took this as a sign to continue.
“You know.. I was, uh, a major, in the war?”
Her head perked up at that, her eyes meeting his. “A..a major?”
He smirked, “Yeah. Major Jasper Whitlock.” As he said so, she felt a wave of pride come from his body. She didn’t need Jasper’s gifts to sense it, for it had come so plain.
He continued, “I trained them myself. Her army, I mean. I know you don’t know much about us, but newborn vampires are more dangerous. More deadly. They’re stronger than most.” As he said this, she could feel his tone becoming sharper.
“Stronger than Emmett?”
He nods, “Yes, Princess. Much stronger. You stay away from a newborn.” It had meant to be advice, but it came out a demand. “They’re more deadly than you can imagine. I’ve watched them do…” his eyes look off in thought, “…unspeakable things…”
A small silence overtakes them before she breaks it. “And you trained them?”
His eyes quickly move back to hers, the amber color glowing, “Yes, ma’am.”
“How?”
“Not easily. They don’t take too well, as you can see,” he said, his head motioning forward at his arms. “I punished them, too. Killed them when they got out of hand or weren’t what we needed.”
He feared to look up at her, but he couldn’t resist. Her gaze was on the window. He didn’t often wish for a gift different than his, but at this moment, he wished he could read her mind. See what was going on in that lovely little human brain of hers. But he couldn’t. He sensed she wasn’t distressed. He had to see her eyes to be sure. Not for his gift’s sake, but for his own. His hand outstretched to grab her jaw gently, pulling it towards his own. “Are you scared of me?”
Her eyes catch his, their faces a foot apart. “…Sh…should I be, Jasper?”
He considers her question quickly with a nod, his voice low. “Really fucking scared.”
She blinks at his wording, her brain struggling to comprehend everything in front of her.
He wanted to joke, take the dark mood away, but he knew this was serious. “I killed before this,” he gestured to himself, “I killed during this…. I’ll probably have to kill sometime after this. I’ve murdered many with no remorse, their bodies laying at my feet. Innocent lives and murders, too. I overpowered the strongest vampires with ease, ending them mercilessly. My heart holds no mercy. So, I’ll ask again. Are you scared of me?”
She wasn’t sure what to think. She couldn’t put it into words. Was she scared? She supposed so. Any sane person would be. But she trusted him. She trusted him. She trusted him. “You… You won’t hurt me, Jasper.”
He wanted to laugh at her sweet response. How naive of his little lamb. She said it so sure of herself. Of him. She didn’t know of the constant, deep thirst of blood he fought back every time their eyes met. She didn’t know of the pain he felt when she parted from him. She didn’t know of the horrors he had endured. And most importantly, she would never understand the terrors he had caused.
“You don’t know that, Princess.”
She took a quick breath in at his response. Every reasonable thought she ever had was gone. She should run. She should hide. But she didn’t. She wouldn’t. Her body remained here, on the vampire’s bed, his hand gripping her jaw while staring at her like she was prey. Every reasonable thought was gone.
She reached her hand up to place on top of his on her jaw, flinching at the cold feeling of his skin on hers. “You won’t, Jasper.” She began to even sound confident.
He smiled at her, his sharp teeth peeking out. This girl believes in him that much. What a stupid girl. Too trusting. Too hopeful. Too pretty. Too good. Too perfect. He could absolutely ruin her. But he wouldn’t. “C’mon, Princess. Admit you’re a little afraid.” He needed to hear her say it.
Her hand gripped his, pushing it down her jaw lightly until it rested over her throat. His hand now wrapped around her neck, her hand lightly resting on his.
He was speechless at her touches. Her movements. Her willingness. Her loyalty to him. His eyes stare at his own hand, admiring the view in front of him. Her hopeful eyes staring into his while his hand rested above her only source of oxygen. It was intimate. It was scary. It was perfect. She was perfect.
His thumb brushed her throat lightly, feeling her heartbeat quicken at his touch. He could practically feel the blood running through her veins. And she trusted him still.
They sat there in silence for a while, simply admiring the other.
She was perfect. Too innocent for her own good, but so loyal and willing for him. Her pretty face was the perfect view for him. He could stare at it until the end of his days. And she trusted him with her life.
She trusted him with the one thing his body thirst to destroy. And he loved her all the more for it.
He was strong. Resilient. An open book for her to read at her leisure. Protective was a word she was familiar with. She felt like his arms were the only thing she needed to live in the world. She trusted him with her life.
His other arm moved up her body, his hand getting lost in the hair on the back of her head. He pushes her forward, capturing her lips in his.
The hand on her neck stayed. But it never twitched.
They pulled away from each other to let her catch her breath. Their faces were close as they tried to think of the right words to say.
“You’re not afraid of me.”
It wasn’t a question, it was a statement. She wasn’t afraid of him.

IMAGINES- Jasper x reader
My Star
(This was requested months ago and I’m so sorry I’m just now putting this out 😭)

In which Jasper lost his “Star” before turning into a vampire and years later spots her with his new vegetarian family.
“Are you sure you’re ready for this?” Carlisle asked Jasper whose eyes were widened already trying to control his thirst around all the humans.
He nodded his head.
Edward and Emmett stood on either side of him.
“If it gets too much let one of us know.” Alice stood in front of Jasper with a sweet smile on her face.
The family thought Alice and Jasper would end up together due to how much he trusted her but Alice knew she wasn’t the one for him.
He mourned for his lover before them.
Before turning.
She knew that was the only woman for him.
And he was glad she understand, not having to speak on it. The pain was too much for him to bare so he kept silent about it.
“Yes, ma’am.” He smiles down at the girl, his hands laid behind him, clasped together.
“Alright, you got this.” She nods at him, getting out of their way and the three men enter together. The rest of the family behind them.
As they entered the loud building the energy switched.
Jasper focused on the music that played, watching the girls that kicked their feet and played with the bottoms of their dresses as they danced.
The men that encourage them, cheering them on.
He scanned the room, observing.
“I want to dance.” Rosalie stated behind them.
“Let’s dance then baby!” Emmett boomed.
Edward furrowed his brows trying to remind them of why they were here.
Alice placed a hand on his shoulder. “Let them have fun.” She nods her head to assure him.
Edward makes eye contact with Carlisle who also allows it, taking Esme’s hand and taking her to dance.
He scoffs, staying sternly next to Jasper.
Jasper still scanned the room, not paying attention to his new family. Alice joined Jasper’s other side and took his hand.
“Want to try to dance too?” She had a lot of hope and confidence in him.
Something he could say the same for.
The blood burning his nose as he tried his hardest to hold it in.
“I don’t know, honestly.” He answers her, his nose flaring but he tries to hold it in.
“You got this, trust me.” She pulls him onto the dance floor as well.
Alice begins to twist her hips, following the rhythm of the music.
“C’mon!” She encourages, now kicking her feet and moving his arms for him.
“I don’t know how to dance.” He begins to smile.
“Just follow my lead.” She gets more into and he finally follows suit, the burning in his nose still there but she distracts him from it.
Edward still stood there, solemnly.
Watching Jasper’s every move, making sure he doesn’t get caught up and switch like a light.
As Jasper dances, he glances around again.
A shine of a light flashes on a man and he stares at the guy for a little bit before moving alone onto the next thing.
This time his eyes spot a lady.
A lady who looks oddly familiar.
Her hair bouncing as she dances and laughs.
Time freezes for him. Alice notices his change in posture. His moves slow down.
“Jasper?” She turns to see what he’s looking at. Edward comes up to them, pulling them off the dance floor.
“What happened?” Edward aggressively questions.
“I- I don’t know.” Alice stammers, Jasper’s eyes don’t leave the girl he saw.
“Jasper, what’s going on?” Edward grabs onto the mans shoulders.
“I see her.” Is all that leaves his lips.
“See who?” Alice asks, gently pushing Edward out of the way.
“My star.” He whispers, shoving past Alice and Edward, the girl left the dance floor and to the bar.
He stays feet away but watch her every movement just like Edward was doing to him.
But for him, he was trying to see if it’s true.
If it’s his star. As she got her drink, Edward grabs onto him once again.
“Jasper, you can’t do that.” Glaring at the man who doesn’t seem to be there. Not paying attention to his “brother.”
She’s on the move once again, a man beside her this time. She’s flirting with him and Jasper feels a pang in his chest.
She laugh and he hears it for a split second. That’s how he knew, it’s her.
It’s his star.
She grabs onto the man’s shirt that she’s flirting with and guides him outside into the back of the building. Jasper realizes he needs to get Edward off of his back.
He looks around trying to find something to do so. Alice watches Jasper’s movements and then she gets a vision.
Holding onto the wall once it’s over.
She grins and goes over to Edward.
“Eddie!” She laughs vibrantly, grabbing onto the boy and spinning him around. “Please dance with me!” She then spins herself with his hand. “Alice, now’s not the time.”
“When ever is there a time, Edward.” She pouts, then glances at Jasper and widens her eyes, telling him to go as she distracts the boy.
He mouths a “thank you” before rushing off. Following who he believes is his lover.
He exits the building, now being quiet.
He looks around for her. Not spotting her as the wind blows in the air. The moon shining down on him and the body of water ahead.
He takes a few steps out, he hears some noises of a man whimpering, gargling his own blood.
The blood smell fills Jasper’s nostrils.
He feels enticed by it, his body moving slowly towards the dying body feet away from him. It’s the man that she came out with.
It’s the same man from before.
And before he can get any closer his body flies to the ground with a thud. Someone pinning him down. “Who are you?” A voice questions, shoving him further into the ground.
The lady not getting a look at him.
He grunts, trying to fight her off. Slowly he stops fighting, trying to get a good look at her face.
“My star.” He huffs out, his hands laid next to him and her strength weakens on him. Pulling her hands back.
“Jasper?” Her voice breaks, this time he flips them over and pins her down. Not harshly.
She laughs loudly.
“My Jasper!” She squeals, not able to do anything but she kicks her feet to the ground as he stares down at her with a grin.
“[Name], I thought you were dead.” He tells her, observing every feature upon her face.
“I thought you were dead.” She lifts her head up to tell him. He lets her arms go but still straddles her waist, slightly hovering above her though.
“You’re one of them too?” He notices the blood that drips from her mouth.
“I was turned after you left, they invaded our home.” She informs him, leaning up on her elbows. He closes his eyes, shaking his head.
“I should’ve been with you.” He mentally beats himself up.
“Hey! Who’s back here?!” A voice shouts and the two scramble up. Jasper grabs her hand, yanking her away from the scene. They hide behind a vehicle as a sheriff flashes a light around the area they were just at.
He finds the body and gasps. [Name] giggles to herself, watching from the window of the car.
She looks down at Jasper with a smile, gripping his hand and she guides him to the lake in a fast movement.
“You eat humans?” He suddenly asks her. She furrows her brows. “What else would I eat, darling?” She bends down, cleaning the blood off of her face. Luckily none of it got onto her dress.
“Animals.” He responds in a quiet tone.
“Your family’s one of the vegetarians?” She sat on her knees but turned her body to his direction.
“Your’s isn’t?” He tilts his head.
“I don’t have one. I’ve been alone since they killed everyone in our village.” She hums, playing with the water.
“Everyone?” He repeats.
She then realizes how insensitive she sounds, that was his family too. “The Volturi, since everyone grew in havoc they deemed us dead. No hope for any of us to be civil enough to live out in the world.” She thinks back to her memories of when it all happened, the fire.
“I escaped without anyone realizing. I’ve been on the run for a while.” She stands up.
“Before the village was turned they told me you died. I had no reason of living. But then I was turned and I couldn’t even kill myself. It was tragic.” She places a hand on his cheek, rubbing it gently.
“Did you ever return home?” She goes to take her hand back but he grabs it, keeping it on his face. Cradling her hand.
“No, she told me you were dead and I couldn’t bare to see your name on a grave.” He spoke softly.
“She?” She furrows her brows.
“Maria. She turned me. Made me her personal soldier after she told me you were dead.” He closes his eyes trying to fight back the memory of him falling to his knees when he found out his star was dead.
“I’ll kill her.” Venom laces in [Name]’s voice but Jasper chuckles.
“She’s dead, my Star.” He shakes his head.
“Good, she’ll never experience my torture.” She half-jokes. Knowing there’s some truth to it.
“Never leave my side again.” He kisses her hand, pulling her into his arms.
“Never again.” She agrees, laying her head on his chest. It was cut off by yelling.
“Jasper!” His siblings were looking for him, he grabbed [Name], holding her close to him as the family found the man.
“Who is this?” Rosalie was the first to question. Esme held Carlisle’s hand. Alice clapped her hands.
“It’s her!” She grinned. Jasper gave the shorter girl an earnest smile.
“Her?” Rosalie gave a dirty look, still confused. “It’s [Name], his passed lover.” Carlisle announces.
Edward then lets it all hit him.
That’s why he was acting weird in the building. Relief also hits him when he doesn’t see blood all over him. Just a little on the girl next to him.

Hello how are you I hope you have a good day [I want to ask the reader and Jasper Hale]
Jasper was seeing visions of a reader and that they were together, and Alice was also seeing a future for Jasper with reader, but the reader is not yet around him.
And one day in high school, the reader appears as a new student, and he does not know who Cullens or Jasper are, and it seems that someone is trying to flirt with a reader.
Fated Mates
a/n: okay so this wasn't fully what you asked for but I hope you still like it. I'm open to making a part two soon if you guys like it.

Jasper’s pov
It’s impossible. There’s no way my soulmate is here. I can feel it pulsing through my veins the second I walk into the classroom. I’m not exactly sure what it even is, it could be the pull that I feel towards her or the way my head gets foggy everytime she walks by. She smells like something sweet, vanilla maybe?
I shouldn’t be this surprised, Alice warned me weeks ago about her. Logically, I knew her visions were typically right but I came to terms with not having a mate a long time ago, especially after my time with Maria. In all honesty, I’m not sure I believe in love, actual true love.
Oh god she’s coming over here
Your pov
Of course the teacher had to put me right next to the cutest boy in class. What should I do? Smile? Wave? Keep my head down and stop looking at him before he thinks I’m insane? Yeah, probably the last one.
He smells really good, kinda like-
“Alright class, today we’re focusing on the different genres of literature. Turn to your table partner and talk about your favorite genre.” The teacher interrupted me mid-thought.
I turned to look at the cute boy but he was already looking at me.
“Hey, I’m Jasper” He said, his southern accent so surprising I missed the way his throat bobbed up and down.
“Y/n” I squeaked out, god why was I this embarrassing
“Pretty name,” he smiled, “so, your favorite genre?”
“Romance, you?”
“Likewise”
For some reason the way he smiled seemed to calm my nerves, letting us slip into a somewhat easy conversation about our favorite books. I can’t help but watch the way the corners of his mouth quirk up when he talks about his favorites. There’s something about him I can’t quite put my finger on. Regardless, I can’t stop my heart from fluttering each time our eyes lock.
“Now that you have all had at least one conversation with your partners this is a good time to tell you about your homework assignment. You will be working together to write an essay about your favorite books and make a corresponding poster to present to the class.”
Well this should be fun

Karmic Retribution
There were certain unspoken rules to being a Cullen.
One of the worst ones, the oldest made all the decisions. This meant that, more often than not, Carlisle and Edward were the ones to determine the outcome for the family. And to that point, it had been fine. There was never anything truly holding them down to any place in particular, and they could travel any time they wanted.
(Y/N) was fine with that to an extent. She was on the same level as Edward in terms of age, and sometimes she felt she should have more leverage in family decisions than she had. But she had always been quiet, keeping her anger always at bay. And it helped that she had Jasper by her side.
Their connection was almost instantaneous.
When the messy bundle of blond curls walked into their home in Calgary, she knew he’d turn her whole life around. They grew close quickly. Spending almost every moment by each other’s side. (Y/N) could not remember her life before she met Jasper Whitlock. As time passed, the memory of her time without him seemed more and more like a dream rather than her past. To her, he had been there forever.
Though she did not have any special abilities, everything about her was extraordinary to Jasper. She became his lifeline, the only thing to keep him afloat when he felt like drowning. Because most days he felt his head was always just barely above water. Treading on the line between fighting his animalistic instincts and his new family’s peculiar lifestyle.
(Y/N) could do to him what he was able to do for everyone else. She could read his emotions before he had a chance to name them, and she somehow found a way to make him calm and tranquil. She was everything he did not know he needed.
He had been afraid to tell her of his past. How he’d fought for the confederacy and had built and led an army of newborns in the south. He was ashamed of the lives he had taken, the people he had turned and promised eternity to in exchange for their loyalty, only to dispose of them one year later. All for what he thought was love. Jasper was frightened that the second he confessed to the sins of his past, (Y/N) would forsake him and push him aside.
Instead, he was met with a wave of compassion that washed over him. As his eyes stung from dry tears, (Y/N) provided him with a smile that he was sure could warm his frozen body. She placed a comforting hand on his cheek and gave his lips a soft kiss.
“Our pasts do not define the people we are today,” she had told him, nothing but love in her eyes. “The reason we are who we are now is because we have moved forward from what we did yesterday. You don’t need my forgiveness, my love. For the man I know now will never be the same as the man that was. What you need is to forgive yourself.”
At that moment, Jasper knew that his search was finally over. Though he still struggled with his hunger and considered himself a dangerous man, he’d found the person that could love him completely. A woman that had taken one look at the scars of his past — literally and figuratively — and, instead of recoiling in fear and disgust, had placed a kiss upon them and filled them with love and compassion.
“Do you know how lucky I am, darling?” Jasper had told her one day as they lay in a clearing somewhere in the snowy surroundings of Alaska.
“Is that so?” (Y/N) chuckled. Her fingers traced the stitching of the vest he wore, her head pressed against his chest wondering what his heartbeat could have sounded like. “I’d like to think I’m the one that is lucky. How many years did I spend on my own, waiting on my forever? Then you show up, with Alice in tow, and you change our family for the better. And now, I have someone to walk through life until the end of time.”
“Life is funny that way, huh,” he smiled. “And that is precisely what I wanted to speak to you about. I know our journey is seemingly endless and certain mundane things don’t particularly mean as much as eternity. But there is something that I want more than anything — mostly as a symbol of how much I love you. Because in this life and the next I want nothing more than to spend it by your side. So I ask you, (Y/N), would you do me the absolute honor of allowing me to be your husband?”
“For as long as love lives between us, yes. A thousand times yes.”
A wedding was such a monumental event for humans. For beings that stood the trials of time, it was a symbol of commitment. A way to bind their lives with something other than words. A simple promise made in the presence of the people they valued above everything else. That they were making the choice to intertwine their lives in all ways, regardless of any circumstances.
The event had been small, much to Alice’s dismay. The pair simply wanted their family and a few friends in attendance. Their love needed no impressive show, it simply was, and that’s how they wanted it.
In the family, they kept their heads low and out of the way. It was futile to insist on having more of a voice when it came to the decisions of the family. To that point, they had no quarrels with the choices the patriarch had determined for the clan.
Keeping to themselves allowed (Y/N) and Jasper to form a bond like no other. They didn’t need Edward’s mind reading to be able to hear the other’s thoughts; didn’t need Alice’s foretelling to know their life would be live and full of life. The couple had created the perfect balance between themselves and orbited around the family. Still, it was them against the world.
Jasper being the youngest — at least considered that way for being the last to join the family — was often the target for many quips in the family. From his stoic stare to his short fuse when it came to human blood, the blond would often be the butt of the joke. And it never seemed to anger him. He’d chuckle from time to time or roll his eyes at any lines that went just a little too far. But he never defended himself or asked them to stop.
His efforts were centered on keeping (Y/N)’s anger toward the family at bay. Though she was calm by nature, she despised the way their adoptive brothers picked Jasper apart. How they would jokingly criticize something the man could not control. It was often a topic of discussion when the pair enjoyed a rare moment of privacy.
“I’m going to squash them,” she huffed. “Are they not tired of the same jokes? Is there even an original thought in their heads?”
“There’s no need to worry your pretty little head over them, darling,” Jasper chuckled, placing a comforting kiss on her head. “I’m used to it by now.”
“But you shouldn’t be! Every day you work your hardest to control yourself around humans and I know how painful it can be for you. Then Tangina and Schwarzenegger come in and tell the same stupid jokes over and over again,” she exclaimed. (Y/N)’s arms flew up in frustration earning a chuckle from the man as he stared at her from where he lay. “It’s not funny, Jasper. One of these days I’m gonna blow and you’re not gonna be able to calm me down.”
“As much as I would love to see you say your piece to Edward and Emmett, I assure you I do not mind.” He took her hands in his, kissing the knuckles gingerly. “Their words do not affect me, darling. The only person whose approval I care for is yours.”
“And that you will have until the end of time.”
And that was the case for the next couple of years. Whenever they’d reach a new town the other two Cullen teens would joke about how Jasper could snap at any moment, and he’d wreak havoc in the city. They would say pick on him and laugh at him. The worst part, he simply took it, much to (Y/N)’s dismay.
She would grow angry, he would temper her emotions, she would complain about their brothers’ treatment behind their backs, and he would say it was fine. But it shouldn’t have been fine. He should never have gotten used to the unnecessary mean jokes from the older boys.
When they settled in Forks, (Y/N) already knew the cycle. New town, same jokes. The only difference this time, Edward grew obsessed with a particular human.
The day he’d come home from school muttering how he needed to leave for some time and hole himself up in Alaska, (Y/N) couldn’t help the smile that spread across her face. There was Mr. Jasper-can’t-control-himself at the end of a downpour of blood frenzy. Everything he had jabbed at her partner with had come back to bite him.
She had laughed with Jasper that night, the jokes laced with actual worry that Edward would be the one to snap and attack a human. But the karmic retaliation had been far too exquisite for her to remain concerned. Revenge was always a very tasty treat.
But her small victory had not lasted long.
Only a week later, Edward had come back home with a recharged confidence. His woes about hurting Isabella Swan had died in a matter of seven days and he was ready to throw a hundred and ten percent toward forming a connection with the frail human.
And with Edward’s presence coming back, so did the overused jokes.
It had been a sunny afternoon in Washington and all the Cullens were stuck inside the house. Most of the morning had been uneventful, each of the family members reclused in their own rooms. The house was quiet and tranquil, peaceful. But that never lasted long. Especially when they were all home.
“So, Edward, this Bella chick is kind of… different, huh?” Emmett commented, his typical goofy grin spreading across his face. “But don’t you think it’s kinda dumb to get involved with a human?”
“Yeah, it might be,” he chuckled. “But it would be dumb of me to not even try. There’s just something about her that’s… intoxicating.”
“Yeah, it’s called human blood,” Rosalie spat. “Because she’s a human, Edward. The worst thing you could do is get involved with her. It could put her in danger. It can put all of us in danger.”
“There’s nothing wrong with testing the waters though,” he debated. “There’s truly something about her that calls to me. I need to see what it is.”
Anger had started sprouting inside (Y/N) as she listened to her family discuss the sudden apparition of Bella in their lives thanks to their adoptive brother. The cold that ran through her veins suddenly started growing warm, consuming her from the inside out. Not even the hand that Jasper had placed lovingly on the low of her back was enough to dissuade the ire that was taking over her.
“We’ve pretended to be humans for decades; I think I can do it for a couple of months with Bella. I just… I need to get to know her,” Edward continued. “I need to at least try.”
“And what will you do when she starts asking questions?” (Y/N) interjected. “How will you explain the cold skin? The fact that you don’t eat? The fact that you turn into a disco ball under the sun? How will you refrain from telling her you are a vampire?”
“I simply won’t tell her, (Y/N),” he chuckled. “It’s not that hard to not mention the fact that my family and I are a bunch of supernatural vampires.”
“You can’t even read her mind, Ed. How will you know she’s not coming up with conclusions on her own?”
“God, we can sit here a debate all night long on why it’s a bad idea for me to get in any way, shape, or form to get involved with Bella,” he retorted. “But it’s not really a family decision. I’m gonna see where things go with her, regardless of what any of you think.”
“So, you’re willing to put our family – our whole species – in danger, for a seventeen-year-old you met a couple of weeks ago?” (Y/N) questioned. Jasper was failing to calm her down. He could feel the angry red monster taking over her mind as she debated with Edward. Her emotions were taking over her reason and he could do nothing to help her. “I can’t believe you could be that reckless and selfish. Our entire existence depends on us being careful and guarding our secrets with our lives, especially in this town. If the Volturi don’t get you, I’m sure the wolves would be more than ready to put you in your place for breaking the treaty.”
“Oh, come on, (Y/N),” he laughed dryly. Everyone could tell he wasn’t taking the dangers seriously, he was not taking her seriously. To the older boy, it was merely a conversation. “If there’s anyone we should worry about recklessly exposing our secret is mister short fuse over there.”
“What is that supposed to mean?”
“That it only takes something as little as a prick on a finger and fidgety Jasper will be pouncing on a human. The safest way for any of us to keep the secret is for you to keep a short leash on your husband.”
Edward had once vowed to not use his ability on his family unless absolutely necessary, and he had always kept that promise. That afternoon, he regretted it.
As everyone laughed at his taunting joke, (Y/N)’s emotions reached their peak. Her eyes had grown darker, and her hands had balled into fists. She couldn’t resist the wrath that had taken over her. All she could see was red.
One second, the family was enjoying the gag against the Cullen. The next, (Y/N) had pushed Edward hard enough to go through a wall in their picturesque living room. Dust filled the area, fragments of the wall thudding against the wall, falling around the boy. A mix of glass, wood, and gypsum board had scattered around Edward’s body, his body coated in a fine layer of dust.
The same expression of shock washed over each of the family members, astonished at the sight in front of them. Calm-mannered and good-natured (Y/N) had finally reached her boiling point. For centuries, she had always been able to keep herself emotionally balanced, even without Jasper. None of them thought there would come a day when they would see her temperament break.
Her chest was heaving, her nostrils flared, and her hands still stretched in front of her. She wasn’t breathing, instead, she was letting out every ounce of fury that still burned inside her. In a split second, she regained her composure. (Y/N) smoothed down her clothes and her usual smile spread across her face.
Silence spread across the room, the kind that was enough to deafen ear drums. It was tense and uncomfortable, filled with a type of discord they had never witnessed between them before.
“I think we can all agree that all jokes about Jasper’s, uh, condition shall only be done in private or inside our heads,” Emmett’s voice sliced through the silence, his voice booming and reverberating against the walls. “That was… unexpected.”
“But we can all say it’s a long time coming,” Jasper grinned, turning his attention to the woman he proudly called his wife. “And, darling, as much as I love that you’re defending me, I think it’s best we don’t put more people through walls. Alright, love?”
“I guess that’s doable,” she smiled.
The rest of the siblings broke into laughter. All but Edward that wore a scowl on his face as he wiped away the white dust from his face. (Y/N) couldn’t help the pride that swelled in her chest. After years of biting her tongue and holding back her feelings, it felt exceptional to finally shut Edward up.
“Well, Edward, it seems you and Emmett will have to set aside some time to fix that wall,” Carlisle grinned. “Can’t have your new girlfriend coming over and seeing a person-shaped hole in our new living room.”
“Why do I have to do it? (Y/N)’s the one that pushed me!”
“Let’s call it your apology for taunting Jasper for the past few decades,” Esme responded before joining her retreating husband. “Now get to it, boys.”
“How is that fair?”
“What can I say, Eddie boy?” (Y/N) grinned. “Karma’s a bitch.”
Jasper and (Y/N) promptly sped outside, needing a moment to themselves after the chaotic scene that unfolded. When they reached the clearing they often sneaked out to, the blond wrapped his wife in his arms and placed a passionate kiss on her lips.
“I can’t thank you enough for defending my honor,” he smiled, resting his forehead against hers. “Though I can’t say Edward didn’t deserve it, maybe next time we can try to use our words rather than our hands.”
“I’m offended, Major. It was a calculated reaction after years of bullying.”
“(Y/N),” he lovingly reprimanded. “You know better than that.”
“Alright, love. I promise I won’t throw Edward into a wall ever again,” she smiled, pecking his lips. “But I can’t promise I won’t find other ways to get even.”
“I would never expect less.”
At that moment, everything was perfect. Nothing and no one could ever have predicted that in less than a year Bella Swan would infiltrate their family, that all the quips against Jasper would accidentally turn into reality, and that life as the Cullens knew it would drastically be altered.

‘And you’re still hungry for her’- Jasper Hale Headcannons!!
• A southern gentleman through and through. He greets those he likes (and who he can control himself around) with a smile and a ‘Well, Hello there.’ while tipping his imaginary cowboy hat.
• He says ma’am and sir even if he is 10x older than the person he is talking too.
• Did I say he was a gentleman? Jasper likes to hold the door for those behind him, waits for the person who is tying their shoe, listen to the person who was cut off in the middle of a conversation, offers his friends to stand under the umbrella with him while it pours down rain, offer to pay sometimes.
• When first being with you, he had to keep a distance for a long while. He wasn’t sure that he could handle himself and was scared of hurting you on accident. But with the help of Edward, Bella and Alice, he was able to spend more time with you and realize he won’t hurt you.
• One of his hobbies is playing baseball and he loves to have you watch him play, but he loves it more when he gets to teach you. His cold hands over your warm ones on the bat as Alice tosses the ball in your direction. Teaching you how to throw the ball with enough force to get it to hit hard.
• His body is absolutely freezing, so please bare with him when he touches you with his cold hands. The worst thing is when your cooking with Bella and he comes over with his cold hands offering to help, placing his hand on your shoulder.
• He smells like a lot of things, but the ones I can pick up on the most are pine wood, blood, rain, and old spice.
