For the most part, I use the anime's design sheet images for the results page since those are clear, full body, transparent images. These characters didn't have any available so I made them myself. for the hc game: au where one for all doesn't actually work for quirkless people, Toshinori just had an invisible quirk the whole time; the ability to do anything if he believed he could
this is like the opposite of that no quirk au...
1- ok, so you need to have your own pre-existing plus alpha factor in order to activate any quirk in your body. Have no plus alpha factor or no quirk? Quirkless, you need both in order to actually manifest a power. Some quirkless people do actually have quirks, but no factors to activate, and some vice versa. One For All quirk works like a car, but doesn't come with the key to activate. Toshinori had a key, and also a second, secret car that protected him all along from dying of having two cars, or getting his limbs blown off by the new car. The metaphors getting away from me.
2- Izuku, however, has no plus alpha factor because i know thats what you wanted out of this prompt. (he has a quirk- his hair is a visual indicator of this, but alas, no key.) Which means, he's going to be unable to actually use OfA once he has it.
3- but since his New Quirk Car is Totally Haunted and full of Secret Smaller Cars... i mean, does the can-do-anything quirk from Toshi mean OfA would let Izuku do anyhing if he thinks he can? No, since Izuku can't turn on the can-do-anything quirk to let that happen. hm. BUT, but, Toshinori does have a key, and Izuku's got part of his genes now, so can Izuku do anything Toshinori believes he can, just not anything Izuku thinks he can? I mean that'd probably just open more doors for izuku since his own self worth wouldn't hold him back. So actually what's going to happen is related to how Toshinori can feel his vestige self, but only when in contact with Izuku- Izuku can do anything Toshinori thinks he can, as long as Toshinori is physically touching him.
4- so..... that entrance exam is going to be frustrating. OfA just doesn't activate. Uraraka is injured by the zero pointer, but RG heals her up. Izuku goes home and after several hours of sheer dread, eventually musters the courage to tell All Might he needs to meet him at the beach, intending to give OfA back. All Might arrives, and tells Izuku that he is the right choice, still. He only had a few hours with the Quirk in his system, and only fifteen minutes to figure out activation, so All Might is fully ready to blame his own teaching on it. They try a few times to activate it on the beach that night, and nothing works. Toshinori puts his hand on Izuku's shoulder and says it's alright, they can try more later, but Izuku wants one more shot - and shatters his arm in the process.
5- he hardly feels the pain, overjoyed it worked even if All Might has to rush him to RG for more healing and a very irritated lecture about the hour. Still, they're in good spirits when they meet the next day for training, not at the beach (too popular now) but a room in Might Tower. And yet... Izuku can't do a repeat. Toshinori suspects he still needs more muscle mass and his body is instinctively preventing activation to avoid injury. He begrudgingly gets Gran's help, and everyone's trying to figure out what the pattern is. Gran bullies Toshi into asking Nedzu for help, which he does after an apology for resigning before the school year even started. But Nedzu likes puzzles, and he eventually suspects the reason, but isn't sure why physical contact is enough to override it, and if that will continue to work once Toshi burns through his share of OfA (or dies). He does, however, have an idea- would a support item with Toshi's DNA be able to replicate the effect? What good luck that UA has a hero student and a support student who can help- Mirio Togata and Bibimi Kenranzaki! (Izuku doesn't know why All Might looks so nervous at the suggestion that they meet to ask for help...)
#will a braid of Toshi's hair around Izuku's wrist work? genuinely no idea it could go either way#but i mean hey! In the interest of full disclosure, I received this before I opened prompts, but I got inspired! It's actually part of the reason I opened prompts back up for a little bit. I kept it generic enough that it could be in a canon universe, or maybe in a medieval 'verse! Let me know what you think!
Izumi had known that Kaachan was…arrogant. But he’d always been skilled enough that people overlooked it-and if the adults in their lives overlooked it, she thought that she should too. It was easy enough to do when they were children, but it got harder as they grew older and her Kaachan grew crueler. Eventually, Kaachan turned into Katsuki and Izumi tried to walk away from their frankly toxic friendship. And then Inko informed her that their marriage was already arranged-Hiashi had been clear, when he’d come home the last time, that he wanted her married and out of the house when he came home next.
Inko was sympathetic but firm, just as Mitsuki was with Katsuki when she asked him about it. Izumi didn’t want to marry him, but she could never shame her family by refusing after the contracts had already been signed. She wanted the marriage even less when he started flaunting his relationship with Kenranzaki Bibimi, but she swallowed her pride and married the man her father had chosen for her.
Katsuki was arrogant, but she hadn’t quite realized how large his ego had gotten until he smirked at her one day when they were alone and asked, “How does it feel to be jealous of Bibimi?”
Izumi blinked slowly. “Jealous of…what?” She couldn’t help but laugh a little bit. “I’m not jealous of her.”
Katsuki’s mean little smirk widened. “You sure? She is your love rival, after all.”
Izumi wanted, desperately, to laugh. But she needed Katsuki to understand the situation, so she kept her expression perfectly calm and her voice low and even as she told him, “Your mistress is not my ‘love rival’, Katsuki. How could she ever be, when you are not my love?”

Hatsume Mei had been surprised when the ceiling of the bunker she had found refuge in gave a groan and then collapsed inward.
Surprised but not unprepared.
This particular bunker had been sealed for four years, the residents all hand-picked and transported there, a grand total of six people. Awase Yosetsu, Kenranzaki Bibimi, Fuwa Mawata, Maijima Higari, Yaoyorouzu Momo, and herself.
In the beginning she had thought it was awesome, all she had to do was fix support weapons and items as they came from some sort of drop off tube on the surface, build replica items so the heros were never without support, and try to invent new and better items.
Two years into being sealed into the bunker, she had started to lose hope, the support items coming in were no longer a large variation, now she only ever fixed the same twenty items. The lack of items needing to be fixed had led to them having a large quantity of weapons stocked, the worst was when ten million’s gloves and mask had stopped coming.
So when the ceiling caved in her first reaction was to dive for her babies and outfit herself with as much fire power and defensive items as she could. The light burned her eyes and her skin felt like it was on fire, but she didn't allow herself the time to react.
Maijima, Power Loader, was standing between her and the Nomu. Yaoyorouzu was limp on the creature's claws, Fuwa and Awase were nowhere to be seen but the spreading puddle of blood suggested that they were under the rubble, Kenranzaki was behind the Nomu with her legs pinned.
"Hatsume, leave." Maijima barked.
"But, sensei." Mei answered, her tone deviated.
"Use that locator you built and find another bunker, you're the only one who is mobile." Maijima told her.
Mei felt tears slide down her cheeks as she saw what he was talking about, he was injured as well. A large set of claw marks were gouged out of his side, his large hand the only thing stopping his innards from falling to the floor.
She gave a scream of rage and devastation before clicking the heels of her hover boots together and shooting into the air through the hole in the ceiling. She hovered for a second, looking down at her sensei and the monster before she closed her eyes and flew in a random direction.
Mei didn't allow herself to fly with her eyes closed for more than a few minutes. She needed to be able to look for threats and find shelter like her sensei had told her to. The detection device she had built gave a loud screech as she flew over what had once been the forest behind U.A. Taking a steadying breath she angled herself to land, just as her feet hit the dead brown grass it gave way under her feet.
With a scream, Mei fell, unable to righten herself, she clenched her eyes closed and prepared for a hard landing. Only to let out a surprised sound when she hit some sort of cushion.
"Hatsume Mei, why are you no longer in the support bunker?" A voice called from in the shadows.
"Nomu, everyone else is dead." She answered hollowly.
Fluorescent lights sputtered on and Mei found herself looking at Principal Nedzo. He looked less put together than she had ever seen him, he no longer wore shoes and his eyes held a small spark of insanity.
"I see, welcome to my bunker, I believe with you here plan Z-six can be implemented." Nedzo said chipperly, with a too wide smile on his muzzle.
"Follow me." He ordered and turned away from her.
Mei rolled from where she had landed and followed Nedzo as quickly as she could. The sound of her boots loud in the otherwise silent bunker. The room they arrived at, once Mei stepped through the door, was a mix between an experiment lab and a hospital room. Mei had to choke back a scream at the sight of three people on the beds, thankfully one was completely isolated from the others. The one that was isolated was very dead, one alive who looked tired, and the last alive but hooked up to so many tubes and wires she could only assume that they were being kept on the edge of death. Two of them had stark snowy white hair, the one that was obviously dead was bald, but they had no eyes either, only scar tissue puckered skin.
"Nedzo-sensei…what?" Mei asked softly.
"At the start of all of this, I kidnapped Midoriya Hisashi, also known as Sensei, or All-for-one. I brought him here to try and figure out how to stop Shigaraki, sadly he passed away recently. Aizawa left Eri here for her safety, I have done all I could to keep her well, and Midoriya Izuku was delivered to me by Bakugou Katsuki near death." Nedzo answered. "We have no hope of winning against Shigaraki and his Nomu. I have run every possible option, and every single one of them fails. Plan Z-six needed more brain power and innovative skills than I possess."
Mei took a deep breath and let it out slowly before asking. "What is plan Z-six?"
Nedzo turned to her with gleaming eyes, the insanity growing.
"Time and dimension travel!" He answered.
Mei felt her knees connect with the ground as they gave out with her shock. The chimera had to be joking, this was something that wasn't even whispered about, this was insane. She took another look at Nedzo, this time she noticed that the insanity wasn't as dark as she had feared, but more desperate than she was really comfortable with.
"How?" She croaked.
"Ah, we plan then build." He answered as he clapped his paws together. "Eri already consented to using her quirk for the time travel part, before being put into a coma Midoriya Izuku had agreed to being…altered, so that's already been done…mostly. You will need to be altered as well, but we will do that after the machine is built."
Mei blinked slowly, hope sparking in her chest. She was the best support hero in the last fifty years, she had graduated top of her class breaking every record for her course, she had been the most sought after for her support items. She could, and would build something that could rip through reality to get to another universe.
"Let's do this!" She shouted and jumped to her feet.
