Shoutout to the LARP & Cosplay side of Tumblr:

I’m getting back into things and want to get a few armor pieces that I can build several outfits from, but I’m a little lost on sources for good quality armor/clothing.

Where does everyone get their thick leather belts and waist cincher (??) pieces from? The leather pieces that wrap around your middle?

And what is the name usually used for the below piece of cosplay that sits on one’s hips? I’ve seen them in a few inspo pics and think they’d be especially useful but I’m not sure on the terminology??

Also, if anyone has any hacks/lists/YouTube they would suggest for someone (re)starting out, I’d gift you my eternal gratitude and an elixir of your choice.

A cursed sword pulled from a wounded god.

This was a fun project, it was more of a restoration/conversion than a full build. It was originally an old style boffer but the tape was breaking and we wanted to save the amazing pommel. So I removed the old blade using my bandsaw then built a new style blade for it.

A very poetic scene I saw while LARPing at Battle for Vilegis (Italy)

I didn’t expect to find so much fun and genuine emotion and actual magic in LARP. I mean, I knew I would like it, but I never expected to LOVE it this much. Fighting a battle in pitch black, except for the fires of a ritual circle, surrounded by your comrades risking their life and struggling with their every breath, and then celebrating with cold beers and the bard singing of your family’s eroic acts and silly shenanigans while everybody cheers, and greet the dawn without even noticing how time fled… it has been one of the best experiences of my entire life.

Another goth post for those who like gothic culture 🖤⚔️

I’ll be posting more art later today but I’ve been thinking abt how I want this small book to go that I’m working on and I need to sit down and keep working on it. I try to do at least an hour a day but I was away for a bit doing a larp which was incredible and definitely worth the take. It was something I needed to refresh my mind and my heart I made so many wonderful memories and it help me escape the sucky reality I call adult hood. I’m ready to go back to work and draw and write!

I’ll also be sharing dnd related content for our new campaign that my partner is almost finished working on!

Our Curse of Strahd Campaign came to a close I’ll talk abt the game play tomorrow and how game ended.
