Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck, from the 2004 "Micky, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers" animated movie.

The situation: GAY

Princess and lady-in-waiting. Is there anything more intimate and potentially gay than a girl and the girl who she specifically keeps around just to officially hang out with? I don't care I love it.

they are the most romantic thing in this movie

Their introduction scene is Minnie sighing over her future love (hypothetical and male and not necessarily royal) while blowing flower petals in Daisy's face

Daisy has reservations

but when Minnie is explaining True Love to her (while they hold hands and twirl around the room)

Minnie says she'll know her true love because she'll hear music (sentimental music is now playing) and they'll make her laugh- AND THEN DAISY LAUGHS

she starts saying that sounds silly...

but Minnie looks at her, and flutters her eyes at her...

and Daisy just MELTS. She clasps her hands over her heart and switches to sighing that that sounds lovely...

who drew and directed that and didn't notice how much it looks like Daisy just fell in love with Minnie. hey. I want to know

did they realize they could've had Daisy staring at something else?

Well apparently none of those options occurred to the film makers because these girls are supposed to be STRAIGHT somehow

Moments later, after a montage of Minnie strolling around the gardens dreaming of love (to the tune of a song about young love), an attempt on her life is thwarted by DAISY asking her to come over for a moment, moving Minnie out of the path of a falling safe meant to crush her

(by the way, holy heck it feels honestly scary. it just. DROPS)

The song lyric leading up to Daisy calling out for Minnie is "Your first your only love~! Love so-" (can't hear properly)

Minnie being willing to leave her daydreams of love for Daisy no questions asked is what saves her actual literal life I'm sorry but again why did they think having Daisy being the reason she lives was so important. This is a Micky Mouse cartoon legit just have Minnie stand up on her own and wander out of harm's way or get distracted by a flower or something but NOOOOO it's DAISY who unknowingly gets her out of danger, it's Minnie listening to her that saves her. ARGH IT COULD HAVE MEANT SO MUCH BUT

Minnie has actual whole conversations with Daisy. Actual. Talking. Sharing of thoughts and opinions. Chances to see their personalities and how they play off each other.

Princess Minnie, the slightly head in the clouds princess, and Daisy, grounded and a bit dry

Minnie: He loves me. He loves me… a lot. He loves me. He loves me even moooore. He loves me...

Daisy: Pardon me, Your Highness… (blows some free-floating petals off her face) you‘re, kinda mangling that flower.

like there's this set up for Minnie being rebellious enough to reject tradition and rules, being annoyed at them for cramping her style

Daisy: This, fantasy man- (the exasperation on those two words XD), d'you happen to know if he's royalty?

Minnie: Does it matter?

Daisy, breathlessly: Well, as you know, someone of your, royal stature, needs to be courted by a gentleman of royal blood.

Minnie: What a royal pain.

It's supposed to be about getting with a commoner instead, but... HMM I WONDER WHAT OTHER SOCIAL EXPECTATIONS MINNIE COULD BREAK.

A gentleman of royal blood? Well what if it's not! A gentleman!!

Minnie: Daisy, I can't marry someone I'm not in love with.

Daisy: You want love? Buy a dog.

the delicious set up as Daisy as jaded and practical BUT moments later she can't help herself with Minnie, she can't ruin Minnie's little happy bubble, she can't keep pushing Minnie away from her dream

When Minnie gazes at her all warm and mushy, Daisy has to giggle and admit that the idea of a true love who makes you laugh is just Lovely, actually

she says, while staring back at Minnie

WRITERS I WANT TO TALK WITH YOU I JUST WANT TO CHAT

but anyway, they have a flow, a rapport, they play off each other and clearly care about each other and, meanwhile, M e a n w h i l e

meanwhile, nearly all the time Minnie spends "being in love" with Micky is done in silent daydream episodes where they float on clouds and stuff. They get a montage of vague cute stuff. It's a whole lot of Nothing. Very pretty! But nothing

They see each other and it's supposed to be love at first sight. Whee. I'd find it cute if Minnie didn't already have someone and Micky wasn't mostly focused on being a good Musketeer. What do they give each other? They hardly even TALK! At the end of the movie I still have no idea how they'd get through a simple conversation! As a crush sure it reads fine- but true love? Where? When????

MOMENTS after meeting and "falling for" Micky, Minnie is yelling at him and his friends, furious because they accidently attacked Daisy thinking she was a threat

wow good job showing us Minnie's priorities here. Good job showing us she cares about Daisy

good job not using that to let her and Micky like, talk, or anything

Daisy, meanwhile, spends the whole movie with 0% interest in Donald at all, nothing but burns and scorn, only getting with him in the last moments literally just because why not

As in that's honestly the reason the movie gives. Not that she likes him. Just. Why not.

Do You Remember when Micky and co failed and Minnie was kidnapped by badguys and Micky had a moment of slump before getting his second wind? Was he motivated by thoughts of his True Love? Was he thinking of Minnie when he decided not to give up on saving her??

No Mention Of Minnie At All, Aside From A Quest To Be Cleared

The point of Micky's story is him wanting to be a Musketeer. The emotional climax is always between him and his two friends. THE ROMANCE IS SO WEIRD IT DOES NOTHING AND COMES FROM NOTHING AND GOES NOWHERE.

Minnie has no character growth no obstacles nothing to do. she was ready to throw tradition aside for the man of her dreams the moment we saw her-

IMAGINE the crunchiness if she had either a moment of "wait actually, i think he's cute but this isn't love" OR "hey wait all this time I've been dreaming of a guy maybe it's not a guy though? Tee hee let's destroy some more social norms!"

(don't for the love of all things bring up lines of succession this is alternate universe france in the 1600-1700's there is a Lot To Gloss Over Okay)

And Daisy is RIGHT THERE.

Not interested in guys! Sighing over Minnie! Staying with her throughout the whole movie because apparently you can't kidnap the princess without her lady in waiting!

RAAAGH. I know, I know Disney and gay don't mix, especially in 2004- but why why why why did they think Minnie had to be with Micky in this one? Why did they make the emptiest crush ever instead of just letting Minnie and Daisy chill up on the throne dais together? IM IN PAIN EVERY TIME I REWATCH THIS.

tldr: Daisy was in love with princess Minnie, and if Minnie had known she's the exact sort of rebel princess to just marry her lady-in-waiting like a boss

So I watched Elemental yesterday and it was so freaking fantastic!

I've honestly been waiting for this movie since it was announced in May 2022 and it absolutely did not disappoint. The art and concept drew me in immediately, but it also meant so much more than just a romcom story. After learning that part of the story is about interracial couples, I was even more intrigued--as my hubby and I are an interracial couple.

The entire team behind this movie obviously poured their hearts into this film. From gorgeous visuals to a beautiful musical score to a heartfelt story, it all felt so carefully crafted. How they managed to weave together so many pieces of different stories (immigration, self-discovery, romance, infrastructure, etc.) into less than two hours but still have it full of such an emotional impact is simply amazing.

I legit had tears streaming down my cheeks by the end of the movie. I'm so happy that this story got to be told and captured in such an astounding way (again; got to shout out the lovely, brilliant, carefully studied animation). The movie is full of heart, discovery, and humor. The puns are a definite plus! Watching on the big screen was so incredibly awesome too. I cannot wait to watch Elemental again!

Please go watch Elemental and support Pixar with new and original ideas.

P. S. I'm still like emotionally drained/overstimulated by my love for this movie, so maybe I'll write more later, but here's a quick review at the moment.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH I literally cannot put into words how much I loved the latest Damnation au chapter- I was literally seconds away from putting my phone down to get back to work but as soon as I saw a glimpse of the fic, I just couldn't help but put everything on hold

I was really impressed with how you included Epel into the story in a way that just about correlated to Epel in canon (like how he was actively opposed to hit position in the castle). Like taking into consideration of the time period and the possible reasons why Epel would be relevant there in the first place despite not being in the original tale- SO WELL DONE!! Not to mention Vil going out of his way to find potential successors really emphasizes his hatred for Neige (poor guy😭) Also the way you write about Rook??? I knew he'd be creepy but gyat damn your writing only increased the feeling of it ten-fold. Especially in that scene after he climbed through the window and interrupted MC and Vil- Literally foaming at the mouth i was like 'holy crap this is it, we're gonna get exposed' cause aint no way Rook WOULDN'T know. Everything about him was unnerving yet so charming?? I really don't know how you do it but the way you just write them is just so accurate👏

As a Vil simp, every scene with him in it had be giggling and kicking my feet✨ I was pleasantly surprised with his advances towards the MC though- like hubba hubba... I ain't complaining though! The tension in those scenes were just *chefs kiss* Every moment with him just oozed authority and power, like I'd be on the edge of my metaphorical seat just waiting for the moment he calls out the MC

Like holy crap you really know how to set your scenes- like legit every time I Rook or Vil were in a scene, it genuinely felt tense. Also props to MC for looking out for #1 (themselves) even at the expense of ruining someone else

Anyway excuse my rambling lmao i'm definitely gonna be re-reading it again ^^

Sounds like another happy reader. And yes, Epel's part was difficult. Mainly because, well, Epel is based off the poisoned apple, so how is he supposed to play that role? In my mind, the poisoned apple is a tool used by the Evil Queen. So, what is similar to a tool? A person to manipulate, which is how I came up with the idea of heir. Combined with the fact that Vil obviously takes a shine to Epel, as he spends time meticulously perfecting his habits and mannerisms in-game. Which fit the scenario I was to use, of a King claiming an heir and drilling instructions and behaviors in their mind to manipulate.

Rook and Vil were easy to place into roles, due to who they're based off of. But it was difficult coming up with scenes for them, since the Huntsman and Evil Queen don't have a lot in the movies. Especially the Huntsman.

For Rook, I actually considered writing a scene were MC followed him as he scoped out the meadow or the moment when Rook was to escort Neige to the meadow, but ultimately I decided against that as it would overcomplicate the plot and give more time to Neige instead of Rook. I needed a way to properly portray Rook's watchfulness and the unease it spawns, which I figured should fit the setting. A carefully worded conversation knit of lies and unsaid threats and fears is much more effective when the reader is picturing hollowed stone halls of a palace instead of a colorful meadow. At least, that was my thought process there, which is why most interactions with Rook are in settings such as those.

And finally, Vil, who I decided to write a few more interesting scenes for purely because I know a good amount of my followers love that pretty man. There were multiple concepts and scrapped ideas I've already forgotten by now, different things that never made it to my keyboard, like a tense dinner scene and back-and-forth bickering. But some of those just didn't fit the feeling I wanted, or was out of character for either the MC or others.

Anyways, now I'm rambling. Sorry. I hope the second read was just as enjoyable as the first!

I’ve once again tried to watch Dune (the new movie) and once again, I cannot, for the life of me, get into it. I adore Oscar. Actually, I adore quite a lot of people who are in that movie cause the cast is 🔥, but god damn, I just don’t care for it.

And there are quite a few books, movies, and shows (and media based on books) that are regarded as Crown Jewels in their genres that I just cannot get into, another example being The Hobbit. Like I loved Lord of the Rings (book and movies) but absolutely could not and cannot get into The Hobbit. I legit left the theater during the first Hobbit movie cause I didn’t care for it. Waited for my family in the foyer. And yes, I tried reading the book, but again, three chapters in, I was ready to throw the damn thing out the window.

And I have more such examples. Love SG1 and SG Atlantis, absolutely couldn’t sit through SGU. Original Star Wars movies? Yes please. The prequels and the last two sequels? You’d have to tie me to a chair and force my eyes open to watch those again. Star Trek is hit and miss, too, and that’s my first Sci Fi love, especially TNG.

I digress.

Tbh, I shouldn’t have to explain why I don’t like certain movies or books while I like others, especially if stories are set in the same universe. But if one more person tells me “But why? Didn’t you get the philosophic and ecological and economic arguments? How it compares to our times?” I’m gonna get my frying pan and start hitting people. Like I get all those statements. In fact, a lot of the shows and movies I do love make the same kind of statements. But to me, Dune is utterly boring. I honestly can’t put my finger on the exact why. I only know that not even the stunning cinematography (or stunning cast) can save it for me.

But one thing that I will forever fine funny is that the almost everyone in the COD fandom saw soap in a collar and was like “yeah that checks out”. I think soap would wear it as a joke since it was a gag gift or if he lost a bet/ did a dare but later on would wear it again since it’s not only practical but comfortable on missions and work well. Que the boys just losing it gaz is definitely the one who gave it to him to cause chaos that price has to watch he probably also got a lot of comments he either flirted back or told them to shut up. How everyone reacted is up to you :3

It didn’t submit for some reason but I’m glad you submitted again cause I saw a couple tik toks with Soap in the radio collar things that military dudes have in movies and this is fuelling me.

I reckon it starts with the military use ones and for some reason Soap is just pulling it off different and it’s giving everyone ideas. Gaz can see this and because he likes causing Price pain, when they’re on their next lull between missions he gets a legit collar and gives it to Soap.

Obviously they made a bet first, and of course Gaz did it with something that he absolutely knew Soap would lose at so there Soap goes, walking around base with the collar for the next two weeks.

I reckon the pure fact that the collar isn’t military will make everyone lose their minds just a touch more than usual.

Alejandro and Rudy see it first since they had all planned to meet up and do some training together. Rudy can do nothing more than blush and fluster, forgetting all concepts of English because now his head is running wild with the scenarios that collar and hand to hand training could bring them to.

Alejandro is similar but he manages to hold onto his English (barely), speaking broken sentences and flirting like a madman. Soap gets all embarrassed and both men can see the way the blush disappears under the collar and they so badly want to follow it.

Gaz flirts because, well, he’s a dick like that 😂 he’s milking this for all he can and if that means he has to flirt a bit just so he can watch Soap get flustered and all these men simp over him, well he’ll damn well do it.

Nobody knows if König is into it or not. The man’s harder to read than Ghost most days so who tf knows what’s going on behind that hood. But in the privacy of his room he is definitely losing his mind and trying to figure out ways he could hopefully ask Soap to join him or something.

Ghost seems stoic and disapproving at first. He sees the collar and the shit eating grin on Gaz and simply tells them to stop playing games. But as he walks away he has to very quickly and very discreetly adjust his pants because he was not expecting that.

The man is fucking everywhere for the duration of the bet because he absolutely loves the sight of a collar on Soap and can’t help but imagine what the man would look like with something that was distinctly Ghost’s on him.

He’s also making sure that nobody actually acts on the ideas they’re all so obviously thinking. Because no fraternisation in the military and totally not cause he’s jealous and is silently bidding everyone to know Johnny is his.

And Price, poor old Price, cannot wait for this bet to be over cause he doesn’t know how many more times he can walk in on the sight of half of his men drooling over an oblivious, collared Soap.

Much to his horror though, the collar ends up becoming a regular part of Soap’s wardrobe. Most times by mistake other times because he likes the feel of it and lord have mercy when the rest of the 141 heard that.

Equestrianism? Listen man, I know little to nothing about horses. Uhhh I’ll do my best lmao.

Price

- Mans is relatively old(old man)

- He obviously knows about horses, who doesn’t?

- Considering he’s in the military he has had little to no time to ride horses whatsoever.

- If introduced to the idea, he’d look at you like 🤨

- Price would try to ride a horse once though, just to humour himself.

- Actually does quite well and suggests that you two go back at least once every time you two are off duty.

Gaz

- I feel as though Gaz would at least have ridden a horse once or twice before.

- Occasionally rides horses recreationally when he’s not on mission

- Probably spends time at a stable working with horses every so often.

- Mans loves going out on hour long trail rides with you.

- HE LIVES FOR IT

- Just the idea of the two of you relaxing somewhere on a trail only in each other’s company(+ the horses) is so serene to him.

- 110% better if you’re a civie and not in the military because he’d relish these moments with you.

- If you’re in the military he would enjoy the moment just as much because both of you are off duty and spending quality time together.

Soap

- I’m split between Soap having ridden a horse once, or him not knowing much on them at all.

- Mans is hesitant about it

- Riding a horse?

- Why?

- He doesn’t understand the feeling of freedom that riding a horse gives someone until he actually rides a horse.

- Will not want to get off

- Will have to get off to let the horse rest

- Lowkey he would be salty about actually enjoying the horse ride

Ghost

- Mans knows shit fuck all about horses.

- Never ridden a horse whatsoever

- Only seen them in photos lmao

- Is not up to the idea of riding a horse

- Not in a million years.

- Though those million years go quite fast because you’d end up convincing him one way or another and boom

- Here you are trying to help him into the saddle and his muscles are shaking.

- Legit cannot fathom the idea that he’s a military man hardened by years of service who’s shaking while trying to get on a horse

König

- No. Just no.

- He has not experienced ridding a horse, seeing one, hearing one, or even been in a 50km radius of one.

- If introduced to the idea of riding horses, he’s scared he might hurt it.

- Would stand like 🧍‍♂️ while waiting for the horse to be geared up.

- If man’s gets into the saddle he would ultimately end up getting his feet caught in the stirrups.

- Will literally panic when the horse moves.

- Killing people and warfare is his forte. Not riding horses.

- Would calm down after about 20 minutes, his muscles would still be a bit tensed and he tries to ease up the pressure put on the horse.

- Still worried he would hurt it.

- Undoubtedly would relax even more and become comfortable and enjoy the ride probably about half way through.

Alejandro

- Dude’s isn’t very up to the idea of riding a horse.

- Like Soap, Why????

- He’s probably give you a 👁️👄👁️ look if you brought it up.

- I feel as though he’d do pretty well actually if he were to ride a horse.

- Though mans is muscled up from the military, he would grumble about how his knees and ankles hurt from being bent.

- The moment a breeze would woosh by, he’d be like in a movie where hes riding a horse and looking into the distance with the wind blowing through his short locks and a phrase would show up above him. “No matter how hard the journey, the end result is worth it”

- Would act like he was in a movie

- Then realize how cheesy he was being and then lowkey is embarrassed the rest of the ride

- Would want to ride a horse again and suggests it every so often.

My first antihero, and we started YOUNG on that, I was reading these books premiddle school. I was obsessed with these books as a kid, and I'm still obsessed with them today. There's rumors of a third, more adult series when Artemis and Holly may get together and I will EAT THAT SHIT UP I LOVE THEM

2. Vexen, Kingdom Hearts

I Legit think this man primed me to enjoy Hux as a character. Like, I'm not kidding, I was obsessed with him as a kid. I'm 90% certain I wrote deviant art fan fic, but I have since abandoned that account so it's hard to know for sure if it ever got published. I was definitely roll playing at age, like, 13? way too young but god I loved him he was BATSHIT

3. Ianto Jones, Torchwood

Man, I can't really explain how much Ianto Jones as a character, he and Jack's kiss on screen, their relationship, and the events of the 456 changed me? It was DEEP though, I woke up the next day a different person, with much less trust in television writer's and their good intentions.

4. Desmond Miles, Assassin's Creed

We have to jump a few years to mid high school, because no joke I was on that Kingdom Hearts train for a WHILE. I love him, he was probably my first blorbo, before the term was invented. I tried to play the games after (MAJOR SPOILER) but I just couldn't do it. They didn't have the draw without him.

5. Stiles Stilinski, Teen Wolf

Now we've hit late high school, arguably my second blorbo. As a kid with ADHD, he was no joke valuable representation to me, even if it was sometimes played for laughs. I was also the least athletic kid on multiple sports teams who still tried really hard, so I got him, yknow?

6. Will Graham, Hannibal

It's legit tough for me to chose if I like the Will Graham of the books or the TV show better. (Don't ask me about the movies, I haven't seen them, and I probably won't. Movies and I have trouble. See: ADHD.) I'm not sure if he's a blorbo or just like, a regular character I like? My hannibal phase was my last 8 year ship, so the line is pretty blurred.

Now we've reached the part where I dived into a lot of fandoms at once, because I dropped out of college and kind of did a weird spiral? Idk, we've lost chronology is what I'm saying

7. Artemis Crock, Young Justice

god I cannot say enough good things about her and I also cannot express how much (MAJOR SPOILER) made me mad FOR HER. Like it was cruel specifically to her and we should talk more about that, honestly. She was definitely a blorbo, but we're still PRE blorbo as a word in my vocabulary.

8. Darcy Lewis, MCU

My first real fandom bicycle, I ship her with everyone from Loki to Agent Coulson to Natasha. As someone who often feels like the comic relief character in their own life, I appreciate her.

9. Kent Parson, OMG Check Please

My sweet, sweet disaster son. My emotionally constipated hockey boy. The reason captain america is my SECOND favorite character with a birthday on the Fourth of July. I love him, he was amazing, and also my first experience with like, really toxic fandom was being so mad when people tried to equate his canon mental health issues with a noncanon, imagined abuse?? It was wild, I ended up so distressed about it i did have to leave the fandom.

Are you named after anyone: Yes and no. My parents wanted to give me a particular nickname, but my mom was worried that it wasn't good enough for legal documents. My dad said, "I knew a girl in middle school called [name similar to my nickname]. We could name her that." Funnily enough, I very much prefer my nickname to my legal name.

When was the last time you cried: Saturday night.

Do you have kids: Yep, a bunch of them.

Do you use sarcasm a lot: Only with my loved ones and very lightly. Gentle teasing, if you will. I'm a softy (but not a pushover), and I don't mind that I am. We need all kinds of people in this world.

What's the first thing you notice about people: Their eyes. Particularly what's behind them.

What's your eye colour: Very dark brown.

Scary movies or happy endings: Both.

Any special talents: Writing. A little bit of talent for the piano. Art. Honestly, I do alright with anything creative—if I've developed a hyper-fixation.

What are your hobbies: Writing, reading, piano, cross-stitching, cooking, television, movies, Tumblr.

Have any pets: Not my pet, per se, but we have a cute little milk snake named Jack.

What sports do you play/have you played: I swam competitively as a teen. As an adult, I was a big time gym rat. I fell out of it after my last pregnancy (it was very rough). I need to get back at it. I miss it.

Last movie: My Fair Lady; hubs and I showed it to the kids. They legit thought that Henry Higgins didn't deserve Eliza. Hubs and I laughed so hard.

Currently reading: So much Haladriel/Saurondriel fic. Also, Six of Crows. (BECAUSE I NEED TO KNOW THE STORY FOR NINA AND MATTHIAS, OKAY??) I'm not really a YA reader, but it's easier for me to imagine them older thanks to the cast of S&B.

Currently watching: A rewatch of Foundation. One of my all-time favorite sci-fi series. I cannot wait until this summer when s2 comes out!

Currently consuming: Ice water like the American I am.

I posted this elsewhere but I want your thoughts on it. I love your takes! Also Hi! I was Ozzy obsessed anon.

I think Marshall is jealous of Ozzy. You know how he said in beer pong he wanted to match with Ozzy and dress the same as him but Ozzy didn’t want too. I think that’s actually quite telling. I think he’s a little envious of his brother in certain ways maybe. That coupled with messing up his bookings and being fired by him. If the thing he wants most is Ozzy’s approval then this could explain Marshall’s behavior. He’s just being dumb about how he processes it by not processing it, being angry, and trying to get him back/talk to him. His methods are just plain ridiculous and hurting other people in the process.

I think Marshall going for who Ozzy is into. (MC) Feels like it was on purpose to hurt Ozzy. I don’t think Marshall’s feelings are genuine rn for anyone. I think that’s why he moves onto Amelia. He isn’t as confident that he could get MC to choose him and away her. He also might slightly feel guilty because Ozzy really likes MC even if MC doesn’t like Ozzy. So he moves onto someone Ozzy has no feelings for and hasn’t. That’s why he didn’t try it on with Grace even though it almost seemed like he would for a moment there last week when they (Marshall and Grace) pulled us for a chat. Marshall’s main objective is getting back to the Villa for Ozzy and will use anyone to do it until he starts feeling guilty about using people Ozzy genuinely likes. Even though Ozzy doesn’t like Grace romantically he likes her as a friend. I think after getting back to the Villa and Marshall x Ozzy boil to a head only after Will Marshall be open to us. I think unfortunately for Amelia. We are the twin Marshall is gonna fall for when he starts to be genuine. Marshall is not Marshall rn I’m certain of it. He’s doing whatever he can to get back to the villa.

I don’t think Ozzy has done anything wrong.

Also Toby please come in and take Amelia away.

I wonder if the game will let us see Ozzy's face when Marshall walks in. Im sure Marshall is going to be super cocky and a dick at first. Especially with all the crap he talked about Ozzy. EEEK maybe Ozzy will see it at movie night!!! I replayed last weeks twice so that I could first see what Marshall & Grace wanted to say about Ozzy when I realized it was all bull, I just defended my boy and said I didnt want to talk about it. I hope he sees that as us defending him and not us being uninterested in him.

CURRENTLY INTO: Agreeing with Rin's change of wording here. So in no particular order:

Midst - Podcast, weird scifi western, 3 unreliable narrators, a fascinating cast and unique setting. Morally questionable people who think they're each in control of things (they're not) and a cult/government that uses morality for currency and social status. Hosted by Critical Role, but they let Third Person do their own thing. The videos are mildly animated art, the sound and music are amazing, I love how they use words and like combing through the transcripts, there are appendices with lore each episode. It's in its 3rd and final season, wrapping up a distinct story. Episodes are only 15-40ish mins long, 19 episodes a season. It's great please listen (with headphones on for the sound design).

FF7 Rebirth - Watching a friend play. It's pretty great but oh so many sidequests and minigames! The story changes are fascinating and often clarifies or explains things that were nonsense or ignored in the original. Adds new mysteries and oddities all its own. Adds in some things from side games in the same world (like Cissnei).

FF16 - Have to watch friends play this too as I have no PS5 and am waiting for the PC release. I love the characters and the overall story (tho I have my quibbles). Also could use some more sidequests and minigames, but Rebirth took all of them.

Flight Rising - clicky browser game where you breed pretty dragons, giving them patterns they can pass on to offspring. Can dress them up, give them familiars, play games, fight coliseum battles. I've been playing to one degree or another for 10+ years. I'm currently trying to catch up my neglected familiars and max out their bonds.

FIRST SHIP: Probably from the 1980s cartoons when I was a kid. I don't remember. There's been so many.

PLACE OF BIRTH: The clinic no longer exists, actually.

CURRENT LOCATION: My bedroom.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Happily Single

LAST MOVIE: Legit cannot remember; rarely watch movies, though there's plenty on my To Watch list…

CURRENTLY WORKING ON: an original fantasy story. I know the characters, I know the plot. I know the world state. Backstories. Figuring out where and when it starts, how characters get to various points and places (and what they change in my plans along the way). Have more research to do but want to have the general shape wrangled into place to narrow that down.

AHHHHHH HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASS APOCALYPTIC SERIES

This show has seriously been amazing. Rise of the TMNT has been one of my recent hyperfixations, but definitely my top one. In late 2022 I was in a really bad place mentally, plus my favorite show The Owl House was ending soon. Then comes May 2023.

And my life legit changed

I just love the cast and characters so much, Donnie being amazing autistic rep and Leo being Ben’s turtlesona and Mikey’s razzmatazz and Raph kicking ass LIKE A BOSS

The movie emotionally wrecked me and it’s literally what inspired me to pick up my book again and give a try at animating.

Now I have a major to study. I have a fandom that’s so amazing and supportive. And then I found Cass. Their story, telling the turtle’s tale in the future, the angst ride, the STORYTELLING

It blows my mind that one person created an entire world basically every Rise fan considers canon. I truly think that it’s the C.A.S. that made me love RotTMNT as much as I did. The family bond, the love and strength they share, the hope. The relationships between characters, the arcs, the ACTUAL FUCKING MUSIC I HEAR IN MY HEAD WHEN SOMETHING COOL AS SHIT HAPPENS

I cannot put into words how much I love this series. I had fanart ready but the perks of having two nosy younger siblings and a “delete” button ready to push… so I hope this can suffice for now.

@somerandomdudelmao, you are seriously amazing. Thank you for doing all you can do create this wonderful masterpiece for us, and I can’t wait to see what comes next. You’re so cool!

Are you named after anyone? - Nope, I was actually named something else until I was born when I came out the wrong gender (they thought I was boy, scans weren’t great in the 80’s lol) So I was nameless for the first couple weeks of my life until my aunt named me, she thought the name she chose matched my sister’s name well, said we sounded like sisters.

When was the last time you cried? - Like six hours ago lol, I had an anxiety attack which usually involves some tears.

Do you have kids? - Nope, I cannot medically have children. If I did manage to get pregnant by some miracle, there’s a good chance I could die ☠️

Do you use sarcasm a lot? - According to medical professionals, I apparently use it as a coping mechanism lol!

What spots do you play/have played? - I haven’t played a sport since I was in school, ngl. I was on the girl’s travel soccer team and the shot put team. I also did gymnastics, swam and ice skated. I was big into BMX biking when I was a pre-teen too, it was a 90’s, that was super cool at the time.

What’s the first thing you notice about other people? - Height, eyes, lips, hands.

What’s your eye colour? - Dark dark brown, my eyes look black indoors and nearly gold in direct sunlight.

Scary movies or happy endings? - I enjoy scary movies more than anything, but I do tend to write happy endings. So… both 🤷‍♀️

Any special talents - I mean, I have one that tends to be a party trick that people want to see when they find out about it. I have zero gag reflex, no it’s not suppressed, no I don’t have to work past it, it’s just legit not there. I’ve had doctors look at me in shock when they basically stick their hand down my throat and I don’t blink an eye lol. @kellanwrites once watched me put an entire banana down my throat without even breaking eye contact 😉

Where were you born? - Ontario, Canada.

What are your hobbies? - Reading, crocheting, writing, baking, nail art, colouring, video games, sitting around and doing nothing while waiting for the cold hand of death to grip me and drag me away… too dark? That might have gotten too dark, sorry about that.

Do you have any pets? - A dog, a rabbit, and guinea pig and four cats.

How tall are you? - I’m 5’8, which is very tall for someone who’s AFAB, although I am one of the shorter females in my family, shockingly lol. My older sister is 5’11 and my mother is 6’ tall.

Favourite subject at school - English, science, art, music and history.

Dream job - Something where I wouldn’t have to interact with anyone, like stacking books or shelves in the back of a store. Counting out pills in a pharmacy, just a job where I could count/stack/arrange things quietly away from people. Maybe working in an archive of some sort 🤔
