a/n: this is my first oneshot in a veryyyy long time so im sorry if im a little rusty! trying to get back into it :) also i know very little about pregnancy so forgive me! (i got the hostile uterus part from greys anatomy lmao)

“Spence, were you even listening in there? I have a hostile uterus. Not only am I feeling incredibly hostile right now, but my uterus?” you yelled as Spencer guided you to your car.

“All I’m suggesting is that we keep trying, Y/N. And I’ve already done plenty of research on adoption and surrogacy, did you know that 140,000 children are adopted by American families each year?” he asked, opening the passengers side door for you and running around to hop in the driver's seat. “And there's always in vitro fertilization,” he suggested as he reached to shut his door and start the car. 

“Of course you wanna keep trying Spence, all you have to do is stick it in and thrust,” you huffed as he winced at your harsh wording, grabbing your hand over the center console. “I’m the one taking hormone shots in my ass and drinking less than 5 cups of coffee a day,” you complained about your attempts at increasing fertility. “Who knew a miscarriage would be the thing to get me to cut down on caffeine.”

Spencer was silent as he drove back to your shared apartment, both of your minds on your struggles to get pregnant in the past year. You thought back to your miscarriage and the impact it had on you both- it had only been a few months since you and Spencer became official. It was new, and this pregnancy was unplanned to say the least. Not telling Spencer about it was the only solution you could think of at the time- until it was too late. 

You remembered the feeling in your chest, your entire body running cold after being tackled by an unsub. You hadn’t told anyone of your pregnancy, not even Spencer, but as the blood ran down your legs it was pretty clear what had just happened. Derek dragged the unsub away in handcuffs as you sat in the open back of the ambulance, a paramedic wrapping your wrist. You barely remembered JJ’s look of pity or Rossi’s concerned gaze. The only thing you remembered was the pale face of your boyfriend as you had been lying on the ground moments before trying to hide the blood. He eventually made his way over to sit next to you after a few minutes of stunned silence.

“Hey, Spence,” you whispered as he sat next to you, the paramedic finishing up and walking away.

“How long?” He looked at your stomach, fidgeting with his hands in his lap.

“Three, um, three months,” you fiddled with the bandage on your wrist.

“And you didn’t… you didn’t think to tell me?” he asked, eyes welling up as he finally made eye contact.

“I’m so sorry Spencer, I just, we never talked about kids before and we haven’t been together for too long… I just needed time. To think.”

He nodded and swallowed thickly before softy taking your hand in his, running his finger over the fabric of your bandage.

“You never have to hide something like this from me, y/n. We’re in this together and... not to be um, too forward, but I love you,” he confessed. You knew you loved him, but neither of you had dared say it. “I love you now and I always will, so you can trust me with this kind of thing.”

Since that day, the two of you had only gotten closer. Now, a year into your marriage, you were actively trying. And after months of trying to no avail, a trip to the obstetrician was called for- the obstetrician who called your uterus hostile, which was likely the reason for your first miscarriage. You could barely fall asleep for a few weeks after your obstetrician appointment, which made this early morning case call all the more difficult. The two of you dragged yourselves out of bed and began your morning routine of getting dressed and making coffee, moving in sync with each other as you prepared for the day. It was a quick drive into the office and before you knew it you were sitting in a room full of your coworkers looking at pictures of human remains. 

“Four men killed in Ohio in the past month, each left with a note written in the same handwriting,” Penelope says as you all look at the case file. You normally had an iron stomach- in the BAU, queasiness wasn’t an option. But for the first time in your career, your face turned green at the pictures of dead bodies.

“It says here that they are all men in long-term relationships?” Emily asks.

“Correction: Were in long-term relationships. Right before they died, it was reported that they left their girlfriends,” Garcia explained.

“That’s important for the victimology, but there has to be something more to set off the unsub,” Spencer commented.

“Yeah, I bet that there was a common reason for them leaving,” you suggested, closing the case file and averting your gaze from the pictures.

“We’ll discuss more on the jet. Wheels up in twenty,” said Hotch.

You all gathered your things and began to leave for the jet, Spencer walking in stride with you.

“You know what, Spence, I’m actually gonna run across the street and grab some tampons before we go, I think i'm gonna need em,” you said. “Go on ahead without me.”

“Are you sure? I can just come with you,” he offered.

“No, no, go brainstorm with the team. I’ll be right there,” you smiled at him as you parted ways. You were going to the convenience store across the street, but it wasn’t for tampons. Your stomach fluttered as the bell jingled at the entrance. The aisle for pregnancy tests was easy to find, and you were on the jet five minutes later.

“Hey, did you find the, um…” Spencer trailed off as you sat down next to him on the jet. He wasn’t one of those men who got weird about menstruation, but you knew he was avoiding the word “tampon” to save you any embarrassment .

“Yup, I’m good,” you smiled and focused on the team who had now gathered around to further discuss the case.

“So, is there any link between the men yet? There has to be a reason that they were all killed soon after leaving their girlfriends,” JJ mused. You thought back to your past fears and your current situation and something suddenly clicked in your brain.

“Wait…” you picked up the case file. “What if… what if they were pregnant?” you asked, looking up to see furrowed brows. “I mean, the handwriting is feminine, so maybe the unsub is a woman who’s getting revenge on men leaving their pregnant girlfriends?” you concluded.

“I’ll call Garcia. We land in 30, keep looking over the files,” Hotch said before you all sat back down in your respective seats, the outside of your thigh pressed against Spencer’s.

You were trying to think of a good time to take the pregnancy test- you couldn’t do it on the jet, it would be really hard to hide on a plane full of profilers. You decided that the best time to take it would be back at the hotel, but after working for hours you found it hard to focus with the pregnancy test in your bag. Excusing yourself to the bathroom in the local precinct, you snuck the test with you. You locked the door behind you and took the test, trying to control your breathing as you waited for the results. As you waited, you got a text from Morgan telling you that there was new information. The moment you finished reading his text, your alarm beeped. Taking a deep breath, you dared a glance at the stick. With shaky hands, you picked up the test and bit your lip to hold back your yelp of joy at the tiny little +. Shoving the test into your bag, you rushed back to the rest of the team to continue working on the case. You would tell Spencer this time, but you decided it would be best to catch a serial killer first.

Garcia confirmed through the phone that all of the girlfriends were pregnant and shared the same obstetrician who was a single mother with a young child. This seemed to be the perfect profile for an unsub killing men who walked out on their families, but something seemed off to you. You couldn’t quite put your finger on it, but something was bugging you about the case. You were on the way to Shelby Meyerson’s, the obstetricians house, with Morgan and Spencer when Garcia called.

“Whats up baby girl,” Morgan answered, one hand on the wheel.

“So I’ve been doing some digging and it turns out that Shelby actually has a boyfriend, Andrew. Recent social media posts show that they started dating a little over a month ago, and it looks like Andrew grew up without a father” she said.

“Right before the killings started,” you looked at Spencer from the back seat.

“Garcia, send his address,” Spencer spoke into the speaker.

“Already on it my loves,” Garcia replied, and you could hear the clacking of her keyboard as she hit send. You looked at the address in your phone.

“Morgan, that's right down the street from where we are right now,” you pointed out. The three of you didn’t waste any time getting there. You hopped out of the car and approached the door, hand instinctively resting on your gun.

“FBI, open up,” you said, rapping on the door. You waited for a moment, but when nobody answered, Derek took matters into his own hands. Within seconds, the door had been kicked down and the three of you spread out around the house, Morgan going upstairs and Spencer going into the basement as you canvassed the ground floor. You took notice of a cup of tea on a coffee table, still warm. Once you cleared the area, you made your way into the basement, gun drawn. Your heart dropped at the sight before you- a man you recognized as missing tied to the radiator in the corner of the room, and your unsub restraining your husband with a gun to his head. You kept your gun pointed at the unsub as you heard Morgan come down the stairs behind you.

“Don’t move!” The unsub, Andrew, yelled. You raised your hands when he pointed his gun at you, dropping your weapon to gain trust.

“Andrew, there’s no way to get out of this, just let him go so we can talk,” you tried to soothe him, his grip on Spencer only tightening.

“No, no, you don’t understand. These men deserve to die for leaving their children, they-they’re terrible people, I’m giving them what they deserve,” he argued, becoming frantic.

“Andrew, if you hurt that agent, you’re just as bad as the men you kill,” you began, taking small steps toward Spencer. “He’s my husband and…” you started, locking eyes with Spencer. “And I’m pregnant with his child,” you confessed. Spencer's eyes went wide, shock overtaking the previous expression of fear. You continued to speak. “If you kill him, you make him leave his child. I know you don’t want that, I know you don’t want someone else to go through what you went through,” you bargained. Thankfully, you seemed to get through to him, as he dropped his gun and collapsed to the ground, his grip on Spencer loosening as Derek moved in to cuff him.

You immediately ran to your husband, throwing your arms around his midsection as he wrapped himself around you, kissing the top of your head and whispering reassurances to you. 

“I was so scared,” you said into his chest, your voice muffled by his kevlar vest. He put his hands on the side of your face and wiped your stray tears, his own falling as he started to smile.

“Were you serious? Are… are we pregnant?” he asked, his hopeful smile spreading wide as ever. You bit your lip and nodded, squealing with joy as he picked you up and twirled you around, not even noticing the rest of the BAU had arrived at the scene.

“Hey, be careful with Y/N! She’s carrying my god child,” Derek smirked as Spencer set you down, his arms still wrapped around your waist. 

“Hold on, why does Morgan get to be the godfather?” Rossi questioned, putting on a mock italian accent, making you all laugh.

“That’s not important, what's important is that we're gonna have a baby genius running around,” JJ smiled as she walked over to hug you both, which turned into a group hug between the entire BAU. You all broke up the hug when Morgan's phone began to ring.

“Yes, baby girl everyone's safe. Actually… Pretty boy and pretty girl have some big news,” he said, putting Garcia on speaker.

“What! Tell me right now, I can't handle this!” she begged. You and Spencer smiled at each other before you began to speak.

“You’re gonna be an aunt,” you said excitedly, receiving the loudest gasp through the phone.

“You mean… you… Spencer… you guys… oh my GOD!” she began to ramble about her excitement as you all laughed, Derek taking the phone off speaker to calm her down.

“Our kid is gonna be so loved,” you smiled, grabbing his hands and standing on your toes to press a kiss on his cheek.

“We got really lucky,” he blushed, pulling you back into another hug, the world around you frozen in that moment.

Will you talk more about Lisa?? Lisa the character specifically but also your feelings on his feelings about Buddy? I just thought your analysis was so good and I want to hear other thoughts you have on her.

yall are honestly spoiling me rn sdhkfdjfks this is like a dream come true 

i already got into the stuff with buddy in this ask here but i have a LOT to say about lisa and the connection between her and buddy so u better settle in!

ok so firstly ill start with lisa. i played the original lisa game (lisa the first) not long after it first dropped in 2012, and im not even kidding when i said it changed me LMAO.... seeing a story about a girl suffering is nothing new, but austin jorgensens approach to it was so fucking unique. you dont just witness it, you get to EXPERIENCE it right along with her. many stories that involve sexual abuse/rape show or otherwise depict it explicitly for the shock value, which is both disgusting and, in my opinion, extremely fucking exploitative. i feel that it is horrific to dignify an act so deeply evil with screentime. but lisa stood out to me immediately because, even though you know exactly whats going on, the game NEVER shows anything explicit. everything is layered in subtext and symbolism, and austin is fantastic with indirect storytelling, so you learn so much from just a little drop of information. this applies not just to the game proper, but to the character as well.

in case its not clear: i absolutely ADORE lisa. she is my favorite character in all of the games, bar none. its going to sound kind of fucked up, but as a kid around her age going through some fucked up shit, her committing suicide at the end felt like a sort of victory to me. she knew she could never escape from marty or what he was doing to her. he leaks into every single part of her psyche, everything she ever cared about or loved is ruined because of him, and even the vague memory of her mother is completely corrupted, and turned into a muddled version of him. lisa the first also had the added benefit of some religious commentary, as there are crosses all over their home and marty is characterized as an extremely religious man, which i fucking LOVE and wish had come back in the painful, but its an acceptable loss. anyway, lisa committing suicide at the end was an act of defiance against not just marty, but martys god, as suicide is considered a mortal sin in catholicism. lisa knew she’d never be free of marty in life, so she escaped the only way she could; she was defiant to the end.

ive seen people complain that the painful has a bit of a “lost lenore” thing going on, since lisas death seems to fuel the Manpain of both brad and buzzo, but i actually disagree. on the contrary, its just like austin himself said - lisa will never be gone. lisa is ALWAYS there, with brad, and buzzo, and buddy, and marty, and yado, and the ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD. i dont necessarily think that there is something paranormal going on in the game, but i AM going to say that, unlike other cases of a girl/woman dying for a mans backstory, lisa isnt just a bittersweet memory they can reflect on and then put away when its convenient for them. she is a presence that is felt throughout the entire game. brad sees her more than once, sometimes watching, sometimes reprimanding him. buzzo is clearly haunted by her, as he cries out to her a few times in the joyful. every character who was directly touched by lisa - brad, marty, and buzzo - calls out to lisa as they die. call it their guilt or call it her actions, but in either case, it is clear that lisa just as significant of a character in the painful as she was in the first, even if she cant always be seen. even in a meta-sense, every game in the series - even the joyful, whose protagonist doesnt even know who she is - is named after her. she is at the center of everything that happens in them. 

that actually brings me to buddy, because i find the dynamic between her and lisa fucking fascinating. as i previously mentioned, brad never talked about his past with buddy, and snaps at her for bringing up his adoptive son dusty (rando), so it goes without saying that she definitely doesnt know who lisa is. in spite of that, though, lisa is a fucking massive part of buddys life, and while she may not know the person herself, i think she is aware that when people (and brad especially) look at her, they arent seeing HER. 

i mentioned it in another post, but even though brad takes it upon himself to raise and “protect” buddy, he seems to almost unwittingly recreate lisas appearance, primarily by allowing her hair to grow long even though he knows what a risk that is to her safety. he also treats buddy in a manner thats incredibly similar to how marty treated lisa (sans sexual abuse, of course) - he insults her, does not let her leave the house at all, and forces her to do unsavory things that no one should ever have to do (in buddys case, this means killing at least two innocent people because brad doesnt want a “weak” daughter). the most literal comparison between buddy and lisa is the fact that they are both very young girls being essentially held captive by their father figures, albeit for different reasons, and both long for freedom from their captors. 

theres also the fact that both buddy and lisa have to deal with misogyny and the effects of rape culture firsthand; they both battle against men who feel entitled to do with them whatever they please, and the threat of ongoing sexual abuse looms heavy over both of their heads. neither one can seek help from anyone; the neighbors in brad and lisas town seem complacent at best, if they even know what is happening to lisa at all, and buddys only allies (sans rando) are long dead by the start of the joyful. this is not just a hypothetical or a distant possibility. this is the real, tangible fate that will befall them if they cant somehow secure their safety.

sadly, because lisa wasnt playable in either of the rpgs, we dont know if she was able to fight as brad was, but it is highly probable that she had the innate skill but was never able to learn it (as marty highly discouraged them from learning “their grandfathers karate,” and seemed disgusted whenever brad did so). however, she did have ONE weapon she could make use of, and this is a weapon buddy ends up using, as well - her femininity. she became close to bernard (aka buzzo), made him fall in love with her, and then used him as a last ditch effort to stop martys abuse by having him mutilate her face. im not saying lisa never cared about bernard - in fact, i think she DID really love and care for him - but her own fucked up experiences with “love” meant she really couldnt understand what it was supposed to be like, or that it was wrong to manipulate the people you care about. lisa did very few things wrong - it pretty much just stops at the maiming of the cat and her manipulation of bernard - but she knew that she would never get away from marty without some kind of drastic action being taken, and scarring herself was her last ditch effort before ultimately committing suicide.

buddy ends up taking a somewhat similar tack in the joyful, and like in lisas case, its simultaneously resourceful and horrific. one of buddys key moves in the joyful is to flash the enemy (which the player obviously doesnt see) in order to distract them long enough to get the kill. its fucking horrible and disgusting and makes you feel so dirty, but then, how must buddy feel having to do something like that just to survive? shes just a child, but in a world where almost every man is out to get you, she knows this has to be done to save herself, very much like lisa. unlike in lisas case, though, buddy is successful in securing her safety in this way - lisas effort is for naught, and leads to her committing suicide not very long after. 

in a way, i sort of attribute buddys brutality to lisas omnipresence; all of the men pursuing buddy are just like marty, monsters who would harm a fucking child for their own disgusting ends, and i think that when buzzo said that lisa wouldve loved olathe, what he means is that she would have loved seeing so many horrible men being punished for what theyd done. so in my opinion, buddy carving out a place for herself in olathe by killing all those who would subjugate her seems very much in the mentality lisa would have had. sure, there are some innocents who sadly get roped into it, but that would definitely not be her intention; for example, if buzzo could have practiced amputation without harming a living thing, i dont think lisa would have asked him to practice on the cat. note the LACK of brutality at the beehive and the swamp bar, two of the few peaceful places in the painful and both devoid of predatory men hunting for buddy - lisa has no qualm with any of them. but marty? brad could hardly even get a full sentence out before killing him on the spot. i dont doubt that that has a great deal to do with lisas presence. 

ok i talked for a while LMAO but basically i think that, in a more metatextual sense, lisa and buddys relationship really strikes me as an accurate depiction of generational trauma. of course it was intentional with the more obvious trauma chain (marty to brad to buddy), but the trauma chain of marty to lisa to buddy is rarely ever addressed due to lisa not physically appearing in the painful. however, i believe it may inform buddys actions a great deal more than people realize - after all, buddys experience is unique, but who could understand it better than lisa? who knows that sort of pain, of being alone on an island, the lone woman trapped with a man (or men) who want nothing more than to cause you harm? even without her realizing it, lisa is guiding buddy, encouraging her to take back what is hers no matter the cost, to punish those who would try to take what they want from her. lisa might be dead, but she is a vengeful presence throughout every game, and buddys actions feel like theyre meant not only to save herself, but to avenge lisa, even if she doesnt realize it. at the end of the day, buddy and lisa both get to exact revenge against all the men who have wronged them, and they succeed. they are aggressive, and violent, and selfish, and ANGRY - and they have every fucking right to be.

6. paranoid but it eventually makes you good at vibes. Like Dean's paranoid so Sam tries to discount it, but then in this case, it actually and actively keeps him alive, to the point where you can say he pattern matches quicker by seeing patterns everywhere.

They tie things to Dean, they realized they tied Bobby and Dean together that way but they kept trying to undercut it, to keep it a monster of the week, and undercutting the emotional scene and making it about AMY of all people, which doesn't hit because we got very little sense that Sam cared about her after that one episode. like...Dean, who wants to be a dad deep down just saw his biological kid(who he was half ready to take in, monster and all) die. He's...not doing hot. And they kept undercutting that by bringing up the WRONG PARTS OF THE NARRATIVE(Dean's guilt about amy or his fatalism or whatever). THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE OPPOSITE OF FATALISM.

MDZS Jiang Cheng Character Ending Analysis (Novel/Drama Spoilers) - BY BRI >v<

If I asked you to change the ending of mdzs, without completely impacting the actual plot, by removing one character from the story, who would you choose? Obviously, removing any major character would change the story completely, and removing a character post-reincarnation wouldn’t affect enough to change anything, since most of the cultivational world would still despise and fear Wei Wuxian, which is an important plot point. Nie Huiasang and Mo Xuanyu also carry a major role, since they are the catalysts for the post-reincarnation storyline. So now you may be considering minor characters pre-reincarnation, such as one of the clan leaders or a sibling such as Lan Xichen or Jiang Yanli. These answers, granted, would change the storyline, but they wouldn’t result in much of a better ending, if a good ending at all.

In my opinion, the sole reason mdzs arguably has a very bittersweet ending (one that leaves some readers with a sense of unfulfillment) is: Madame Yu.

The saddest part about the ending of mdzs is arguably the lost friendship between Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian. The story begins with them as brothers and ends with Jiang Cheng being the cause for Wei Wuxian’s death during the siege of Yiling (novel pre-reincarnation ending). One of the things that makes mdzs so captivating is trying to discover why this happened (a plot point the drama highlights more than the novel). Before diving into why Madame Yu impacts this story so much, let’s review some important aspects of Jiang Cheng’s and Wei Wuxian’s character.

Jiang Cheng is born with an older sister and is destined to become a clan leader one day. At a young age, a young boy is adopted by his family and they spark a friendship. However, as they grow up, it is noticeable how different the two are. Wei Wuxian is mischievous and seeks danger and adventure, he doesn’t like listening to rules that he finds too strict or unnecessary, and he has a habit of exploiting qualities people are shy about so he can tease them about it later (good-heartedly, of course, but something that is clearly bound to get him in some trouble). Jiang Cheng, however, is more serious and respectful with a habit of joining Wei Wuxian in causing trouble, after all, he is a teenager (and the Lan Clan rules weren’t going to stop a group of teenage boys, lmao, let’s be honest).

They are obviously very close, something that the Donghua seemed to focus on a bit better than the drama. However, it is also noticeable that he gets treated differently from Wei Wuxian when it comes to punishments. There are several points that explicitly suggest that Wei Wuxian tends to receive lesser punishments from Jiang Fengmian compared to Jiang Cheng (something Madame Yu likes to bring up every argument). Jiang Fengmian also seems to praise Wei Wuxian more than his own son, and seems to compare the two more than he should (such as when he reprimands Jiang Cheng for encouraging Wei Wuxian to think selfishly about his survival rather than the lives of others). And so, Jiang Cheng has something plaguing him: inferiority. It is arguable by some people that he has an inferiority complex; after all, despite being the next clan leader, he is not head disciple and pretty much always falls short of Wei Wuxian.

However, I offer another theory: he hates being humiliated. Yes, a quality that pretty much every person on the face of the planet has. Yes, I am saying this is the underlying cause of why everything else happens.

The reason I say this is because Jiang Cheng doesn’t seem to care that Wei Wuxian succeeds, but rather that he himself doesn’t receive the same recognition when he does something similar. When Wei Wuxian along with Lan Wangji defeated the Tortoise of Slaughter, Jiang Cheng isn’t particularly mad that Wei Wuxian killed the tortoise, but rather his words reflect: 1) worry, and 2) anger at himself. He was mad because Wei Wuxian, someone who he clearly sees as a brother figure, put himself in danger because he wanted to save people, and not just in any danger, but a life-or-death situation. Jiang Cheng makes it clear that he spent days without rest or break running to get help so that he could get back to Wei Wuxian as fast as possible, even while injured from the fights with the Wen Clan, who guarded the outside of the cave and attacked everyone who escaped thanks to Wei Wuxian’s efforts (novel scene); he even passed out the second he found people to help. Yet, when they went to save Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, everyone only praised their valiance in defeating the Tortoise of Slaughter, and Jiang Cheng’s actions were overlooked.

So, why did he get so mad at himself about this? BECAUSE OF HIS HEADASS MOM, DUH, I’VE BEEN LEADING YOU TO THIS CONCLUSION!!

Imagine, you are next in line to be clan leader, yet you aren’t head disciple, and now your mother is breathing down the back of your neck because your father is praising someone who is doing better than you. On top of this, you don’t even have the chance to speak to your father about how you feel upset that he treats you differently, because every time the topic of your father being more strict and less praising of you comes up, your mother takes the reigns and doesn’t give you the chance to speak for yourself. Now, all of a sudden, your mother is yelling at your father, saying he doesn’t love his own son and he prefers your adopted brother, and she is also yelling at your adopted brother because he is better than you, and all this is happening IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES ALL. THE. TIME!!

After putting that into perspective, are we really surprised Jiang Cheng turned out the way he did? This entire ordeal must have been HUMILIATING for him, and you KNOW it happened all the time.

Jiang Cheng grew up with this happening, and Jiang Fengmian was only stricter with him because he was going to be a clan leader, and, granted, we can all acknowledge that Jiang Cheng said some shit that his dad was justified in reprimanding him for (such as the whole thing where he told Wei Wuxian he never should have put the lives of others over himself and their clan). Of course, we should also acknowledge that Jiang Fengmian had his faults, and he should have been stricter with Wei Wuxian. As much as we all love this mischievous boi, he was the head disciple of the Jiang Clan and was far too undisciplined and unruly for the position he represented, especially while he was a disciple at Gusu and during the Archery Competition hosted by the Wen Clan (novel scene). And for real, the shit he told Lan Qiren when he asked about why Wei Wuxian was like this, this boy really replied, “It’s just the way he has always been.” That type of response wouldn’t even pass in modern era!

Of course, after all this, Jiang Cheng was going to hold some resentment for Wei Wuxian.

However, the real kicker is Madame Yu’s final words before she sends Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian away… THE WOMAN TAKES A GOOD FEW MINUTES TO JUST STRAIGHT UP YELL AT WEI WUXIAN AND BLAME HIM FOR EVERYTHING!! LIKE WTF!! Look, I’m sorry, MAAM, but the Wens were kind of trying to take over the entire cultivational world, I promise you that Wei Wuxian’s existence affected that all of zero percent. She said that he was the cause for the fall of Lotus Pier, but let’s consider how, oh yeah, LITERALLY EVERY CLAN WITHIN 100+ MILES OR SOMETHING OF THE WEN CLAN WERE INVADED AND FORCED INTO SUBMISSION NOT THAT LONG AFTER; THEY WERE GONNA DO THIS NO MATTER WHAT!! Sure, the Wens may have decided to go after Lotus Pier a bit early because they hated Wei Wuxian, but it’s not as if him not being there was going to stop any of this…? They literally went after GusuLan first, I don’t understand how Wei Wuxian can be faulted for any of this.

But, of course, Jiang Cheng is not here to listen to reason, he just lost both his parents, and years of lowkey (highkey) verbal abuse finally caught up, especially since some of his mother’s last words were blaming Wei Wuxian for everything. This is the start of our downhill slope.

I would like to take a moment and review how Jiang Cheng really received no closure with his father. His father died before Jiang Cheng ever got the chance to speak for himself and just communicate with him, and after all the arguments his mother had with him, it is clear that Jiang Cheng will always carry a part of him that believes his father didn’t truly love him.

But this is something the reader can view as misjudgment. His mother seemed to use Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian as a way to argue with Jiang Fengmian, and in Jiang Cheng’s eyes, this may be viewed as his mother standing up for him; however, looking at this as a whole, the situation isn’t so straight-forward. Quite honestly, it is hard to even tell whether Madame Yu loved Jiang Cheng, or whether she just wanted a reason to argue with Jiang Fengmian. There are points in the story that say Madame Yu ‘forced’ (I use this term loosely, but this is the term the rumors seemed to hover around) Jiang Fengmian into a marriage, and this may be her way of consistently reminding him that “You can’t leave, you have a child to raise.” If anyone has the inferiority complex, I think it can be argued that Madame Yu likely has a slight case of it. BUT! The point is that Jiang Cheng viewed his mother as “the only one on his side,” in a sense, even his own sister fought tooth and nail to be able to see Wei Wuxian even when he was shunned by the cultivational world.

Now, Wei Wuxian doesn’t exactly help his case when he turns down the path of demonic cultivation.

We all know the reason he did it, and many may argue that Jiang Cheng is a fool for thinking for even a moment that BaoShan Sanran could return his golden core, let me remind you of this:

BaoShan Sanran is very mysterious, no one really knows anything about her other than that she has reached “Enlightenment” (a term derived from Buddhism to describe someone who has found the truth of life and no longer is reborn). She is described in the book to be viewed as “immortal” and once a disciple leaves her mountain, they are forbidden from returning. The only people who know anything about BaoShan Sanran are the disciples, and even the ones that have left the mountain don’t spread much information on her. So, in essence, everyone just knows she is powerful and not to mess with her. So, please, excuse Jiang Cheng for having even a shrivel of hope. I am positive that, in his mind, being able to ‘re-grow’ your golden core was just as possible as being able to ‘trade’ you golden core (both of which he believed to be outside the realm of possibility, so yeah, both sounded insane, but he had hope, and no one suggested that ‘trading’ was even an option, so ‘re-growing’ was already mind-boggling).  So, Jiang Cheng is happy because he has his golden core back, but when he goes searching for his brother, the man is gone and no where to be found for three full months, and when he does reappear, he is using demonic cultivation and is more closed-off.

Jiang Cheng has gone through the literal worst whiplash of emotions in his life: his parents and entire sect were all brutally slaughtered; he lost his golden core; he got his golden core back, but his brother was no where to be found; his brother is back, but he is using demonic cultivation and won’t discuss the reason with him.

Now, this is where the past ‘abuse’ catches up with Jiang Cheng. He has now been forced into a leadership position in the middle of a war, and now the war is over, but his brother is still…yeah. But now, the other clans are talking and saying that he should be reprimanding Wei Wuxian, but no matter how he tries, the man doesn’t listen to him. This is, no doubt, HUMILIATING for Jiang Cheng, especially when all the other clans are constantly saying he needs to take action against Wei Wuxian because the man was becoming ‘too arrogant’ and etc. When Wei Wuxian finally stands up for the remaining Wens, Jiang Cheng is so humiliated that he didn’t want to stand up for his brother because he knew he would be shunned the same if he stood by Wei Wuxian’s side, especially since it would be as an ally and not the leader in this movement. This is the ‘herd mentality,’ in which the few vocal people in the room speak up for an argument, creating a big fuss, and even though the majority actually agrees for the other side of the argument, everyone remains quiet against this front, making it seem (and, in term, making them believe) that they are the minority and should just stay quiet. It was obvious that the Lans, Nies, and Jiangs all didn’t agree with how the Wens were being treated, but with how loud the Jin clan and co. were, they didn’t want to say anything, especially when they were all still weak and rebuilding after the war. Then, the clans started encouraging Jiang Cheng to go and act against Wei Wuxian and, fueled by the humiliation of not being able to control his subordinate, that’s exactly what he did.

I would also like to point out that Jiang Cheng only ever listened to the information the other clans were feeding him in regards to Wei Wuxian, he never actually knew what was true like we, the readers, do.

AND NOW, this is why I say Madame Yu has ruined Jiang Cheng. Let’s say that she had died a year prior to the entire war. Jiang Cheng wouldn’t have her final words in his head blaming Wei Wuxian for everything; he likely would have been able to reconnect with his father and speak for himself; he would have grown closer to Wei Wuxian without his mother breathing down his neck and would go a full year without hearing an argument about why he was inferior to Wei Wuxian.

In every story, there is a ‘climax.’ In a long story like this, there can be many ‘climaxes’ especially when it comes to different characters. A climax is defined as ‘the point in the story where one decision can change the course of the rest of the book,’ or ‘the decision that alters the ending,’ as my AP English Literature teacher defines it. For Jiang Cheng, the point in the book that alters his ending is the moment he decides to trust the clans over his brother, something that makes him so clearly different from Jiang Yanli.

Yanli never stops believing in Wei Wuxian, even to her dying breath she cared for him and believed he was good. This is from the perspective of someone who literally only knew what was going on based on hearsay, never seeing Wei Wuxian and speaking with him about this. She just knew nothing was as it was told.

I truly believe that if Madame Yu had fucked off a cliff or something before the war, Jiang Cheng could’ve been just like Yanli and would have sat down and given Wei Wuxian a chance to explain his side of the story. He may have even fought alongside Wei Wuxian, because now he wouldn’t be worried about “glory” like his mother egged him to believe, but rather, he would believe more in his father’s belief that they should stand for “justice” for all people. Wei Wuxian likely would have still died, but maybe seeing the Jiang Clan fight alongside Wei Wuxian could have inspired the Lan Clan or Nie Clan to also stand with them. Imagine THAT ending, an ending in which Wei Wuxian stood alongside his brother to fight for the innocent, allying with the Lan Clan and Nie Clan against the Jin Clan, and then they win and Wei Wuxian wouldn’t have even had to die and he could’ve just gotten married to Lan Wangji right then and there and save us all the angst 200k fanfiction. LMAO, I actually think Jiang Cheng might’ve still kept his mouth shut in front of the clans, but lowkey stood up for him, and then maybe Wei Wuxian would die a different way, not by Jiang Cheng’s hand. Then he would return and everything would go as usual, but this time :((((((( Jiang Cheng is happy to see him :((((((((( and he raised Jin Ling :(((((((( like Lan Wangji raised Lan Sizhui (yeah, I think the Wens would encourage him to train him under GusuLan) :((((((((( and Jin Ling would be happy to see Wei Wuxian :((((((( and so would Lan Sizhui because he would already know he is a Wen and was raised a bit by Wei Wuxian :(((((((((( and happily ever after ;-;

You can argue that this is a reach, but I don’t think it is at all. Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (novel author) created a character that was so terrible, she single-handedly ruined the ending for her own son.

Black Sails s3

This one took me longer because RL got in the way LOL. I’ve loved it as much as the other two (even if I am IN PAIN over you-know-who’s death DD:). I don’t know when I’ll have the time to finish the last season, but I wanted to post about this one before starting it; otherwise it’d accumulate with the 10+ and counting metas I want to write about this show once I have the full picture LMAO.

Max

As always, I have to start with her because she’s THE FUCKING BEST. This woman is currently competing for the number one spot among fictional characters in my heart LOL (I mean. I have loved Caroline Forbes --who I actually think Max has a lot in common with lmao. Everything I love is the same, as I always say-- for too many years for her to ever be truly dethroned; unless something goes really wrong with Legacies I guess. However, it’s still remarkable that a character could make me doubt).

I’ve absolutely adored her plot this season; watching her growing sphere of influence, the way she affects and upends others’ lives. That’s very much being present since season one, especially with her and Silver in tandem (I have a lot of Thoughts(TM) about those too as a driving/disruptive force in the show --they’ll go to one of those metas--; I’m put off by the fact that I didn’t get to enjoy them conspiring together this season lol. Though her reaction to the fake Long John Silver letter was kind of hilarious xDD. Still. I kind of wish we’d seen the scene where Silver tells her he renounces to his part of the price. It could’ve been very interesting --I guess he could’ve told Jack but that wouldn’t’ve been as good, so this is my headcanon).

The most obvious storyline where this manifest is in her relationship with Anne and Jack. I love everything about it, but well. I have to admit, the ~betrayal/different sides element appeals to me xD. I like that Max prioritices herself and her safety. That she sees the writing on the wall with the English invasion or with Vane’s execution and acts accordingly, the way she calculates her decisions and forms alliances without letting past grievances get in the way --with Eleanor, Rogers, Mrs. Mapleton...--, the choices she makes because she doesn’t want to be “on the outside looking in” ever again and how they always end reverting in her benefit, ultimately (I’m getting ahead because I am spoiled of quite a few things about s4, but I LOVE that eventually she mends her relationship with Anne and Jack. Because it fits into this: how even the possible mistakes and emotional compromises she makes are within a very specific frame that works out for her in the end).

Her relationship with Anne gets even better this season. I think my favourite scene is where Max tells Anne that she nows Anne “cannot fathom leaving me”. Can I get this woman’s confidence LMFAO. But seriously. I luff them. I love how Max convinces Jack of going along her plan to replace the gold with good easier to transport (and how THAT ends up being Flint’s treasure asdñlfkasfj. MY GIRL DIRECTLY CAUSED THE EVENTS IN TREASURE ISLAND OKAY) by appealing to their mutual love for Anne. That she trusts Anne with the story about her father. That she knows just as well as Jack that Anne wouldn’t give up the treasure so easily and she’ll try to save him (and that Anne won’t stomach the thought of Jack being tortured because she couldn’t bear MAX’S torture. My heart).

Another highlight of the season for me was her relationship with Eleanor, which keeps being a huge surprise no matter what xDD (even if, again, never in a shippy way. I’m very glad the season doesn’t go there). I love the reversal of expectation in a general fandom landscape: how ultimately, Eleanor doesn’t have an emotional hold over Max (and that she lost it as early as 1x02, IMO. I’m not saying “Max doesn’t feel anything about Eleanor”, but the truth of the matter is, narratively Eleanor serves Max, not the other way around. And I’m happy and relieved about it, ngl), and that the same isn’t true the other way around. I thought two very telling scenes where a.) Max hosting parody trials of Eleanor that paint her under a completely undignified light, but clearly deriving no pleasure from it: it simply was yet another thing she does for practically, level-headed political reasons; and b.) that Eleanor orders Rogers’ men not to hurt Anne in the exchange because Max’s love for Anne.

Continuing down with Max’s relationships, I’ve grown to really like hers with Idelle. I think Max find Idelle fun, likeable, uncomplicated (the scene where Featherstone tells Idelle he hopes his pardon doesn’t diminish her attraction to her was hilarious and clearly the moment Max was enjoying herself the most in the whole season lmfao. BTW, I kinda liked Idelle/Featherstone since the moment he told Jack he wasn’t concerned because “he was in love with a good woman” and Jack was like “Idelle??”. Yes, it’s fun because client-falling-for-sex-worker is a pitiful cliché, but here’s the thing: he’s right xD. He didn’t say “I’m in love with a woman who loves me”. He said he was in love with someone GOOD and Idelle IS a good woman, dammit xDD).

Max doesn’t concern herself much with the idea of Idelle going behind her back because Idelle loves her, respects her, and is a loyal friend (and yet clearly sees Max exactly as she is and doesn’t have any delusions about it. Luckily for her Max is probably the type to feel angry but not vengeful about this lol, if only because it could reflect on her). And Max is right about that. But I love that Idelle still has it in her to take a different path by allying herself with the pirates. I’m curious about the reasoning being after Max makes Mrs. Mapleton madam again; it’s clear the girls aren’t happy about her and she didn’t seem like she took good care of them in s1, to put it mildly, so there’s some of that, but I like to think part of it was Idelle going, “seriously Max? I’m right here! I could be the Madam!” xDD.

Her dynamic with Mrs. Mapleton was really interesting too; I like how she too puts aside any old grudge and decides to put her bets with Max over Eleanor or Rogers, because she has confidence that Max and her methods (“I choose to let the players reveal themselves to me, least I make an enemy out of someone I might wish to call a friend one day”) will outlast them (btw, that line/her approach in general --as well as Silver’s “liked is a good as feared” MO--, kind of reminded me to Sansa Stark’s “If I am ever queen, I will make them love me.” line. Food for thought). Yet I think Mrs. Mapleton instructed Georgia to  attempt to ~seduce Max to get information out of her, which is very much in line with her. I loled at Max’s reaction basically being “gurl, who do you think you’re talking to. I practically invented this. GTFO” xDD

Basically, her entire storyline this season was pure gold. I love how all of those dynamics come from her maneuvers to keep herself safe, in power, and with influence (because those go hand in hand). I love her pride and her confidence, the way she refuses the scraps Eleanor and Rogers intend to give her at first (and how she firmly says to Eleanor “people do not speak to me that way anymore”, how she establishes a new normal between them), and how she pays her way out of trouble/into power with the gold she stole from Flint & co xDD.

My favourite moment of hers is devided between “in another time, in another place, they would call me a queen”, and “I AM Nassau” (that made me decide that if I ever write fic where Max needs a last name for any reason, it’s going to be Nassau. It is law), and how meta they’ll turn out to be :DD. I also have Thoughts about the evolution of her styles (beyond the obvious “omg she’s soooooo beautifuuuuul” lmao) but I’ll leave that for another show-encompassing meta too :P

Madi

She catapulted herself to Forever Fave status pretty quickly (I may have too many of those in this show.  W h a t e v e r  xDD). I love how self-assured she is (“when I speak my men listen, and they do as I say”), and how she always thinks of the big picture (like when she fought her impulse to order her men to fight against the pirates after one of them beat one of hers). And I have a lot of Feels about how this is explicitly linked to her heritage, her mother and father, their ~legacies.

Speaking of: one of the few major spoilers I seem to have avoided was that Mr. Scott was Madi’s father LOL. I was DELIGHTED by that reveal, and how it makes you reconsider his story. His relationship with Eleanor could’ve been a frankly off-putting cliché, but this completely circumvents that; it’s true that he’d shown more independence from her than I would’ve expected in another show, by leaving her side to do his own thing and further contributing to her vulnerability. But giving him a real* family, one that he prioritises over Eleanor and HID FROM HER, using her position to their benefit... That’s on a whole other level.

*I know some people are going to object to this qualifier. Fandom gets like that about found families, adopted families, etc. And I get it, but this is NOT like those situations. Mr. Scott was Eleanor’s SLAVE, FFS. That is incompatible with being her family, her father figure, no matter what she thought. And I love that the show made it explicit, when Madi tried to talk about his “two daughters” and he said “NO. ONLY YOU” in his deathbed (I might or might not have cried, okay. It may be one of my favourite scenes in the whole series). Especially when there’s a very obvious trend of characters of color COINCIDENTALLY being written as prioritizing white characters over their biological families, at the cost of their health and even their lives (I am still not over Monty being forced to kill his own mother to protect Octavia in The 100. Fuck that shit, seriously). Black Sails deciding to do the oposite here is FUCKING REVOLUTIONARY and I love it to pieces.

Another thing I loved is that they picked an actress that looks more like Mr. Scott than like her mother or Max (darker skin etc.): aka how the few black female characters that usually get what Madi will from Silver --that ~eternal devotion, willing to go against anything and anyone for her etc.-- tend to look.

Unsurprisingly, I like Madi/Silver VERY MUCH lol. I like that he is immediately ~drawn to her, in a subtle way, and viceversa (like in the scene where he’s still in the cage watching how she has trouble breathing after seeing her wounded father, or when they hug after his death). All their talks about power, responsibility, succession etc. are really good. And her concern for him is as palpable as probably inconvenient for her xD. I love the scene where she holds her hand as his leg is treated, or her worry one Silver calls himself a “one legged creature”. Though my favourite might be when he smiles when she shows concern for his state after killing Dufresne, and she’s like “well duh, if you fall apart the alliance between my people and yours is screwed” xDD

And though there hasn’t been much development yet on that side, I’m already so onboard with Flint/Madi/Silver lmfao. I love that nod of ~acknowledgment between Flint and Madi with the Maroon Queen’s voiceover about how Madi will have as much authority as Flint in his own ship xD. Her concern about Silver’s relationship with him is kind of ironic knowing that they’ll eventually find themselves more aligned between them than with Silver, by virtue of their many commonalities LOL. And there’s already traces of that ot3 feels, like when Madi tells Silver that the mistake of those “other people close to Flint” that he’s so scared of following to the grave was trying to deal with Flint alone (Madi’s seduction technique: kindness, understanding, and offers of partnership. I dig it).

I want more scenes of and with her mother, too. And between her mother and Silver, since apparently the Maroon Queen trusts him among all the pirates NOT to betray them for money (Jack saying the irony wasn’t lost on him and Flitn was hilarious xD) and that has to be thanks to Madi’s opinion of him. I’m kind of bitter we never got a Mr. Scott & Silver scene, too, especially after Silver and Madi become romantically involved. I love that stuff.

Miranda

I could just upload a bunch of gifs of various crying/in pain/etc. states here because WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS THE PAINNN. I was ~feeling Flint’s grief the entire time, I swear (though... did it have to express itself by shaving his head... asking for a friend). The violence he kept inflicting in her name (her word will be the last word); how he convinced his crew, Silver included, to go into the storm rather than surrendering, for her (and narratively speaking Silver is right, he did conjure it xDD). How fucking tired he is of it all (“you can talk your way part it”, “I don’t know that I have any more lies left in me”).

As far as I’m concerned he could be hallucinating her the rest of the show (I’m going to miss seeing her so much... especially in light of the ending), as painful as I find those scenes. At this point “But when I lost you... I am ruined over you” is an instant tear-jerker, ugh. So is Flint wantint to let go and “be with her”, and ghost!Miranda saying she’d resent him for giving up. Though my favourite is when Miranda basically describes herself as his “maker”, about how she ~shaped him *clenches fist*. I love those kinds of ships.

BTW: I think the moment Rogers mentioned Thomas, Miranda’s ghost, Flint, and I, yelled “HOW DARE YOU SAY HIS NAME” on the inside xD

Flint & Silver

Sometimes fandom gets it right because the relationship between these two is... A Lot. A LOT. I anticipate a lot of suffering on my part in the near future xD

I loved the evolution in the first half of the season, from Flint telling Silver that “in my head, you’re not welcome”, or Silver resenting that Flint’s words convinced HIM (HE’S the convincer!! It’s not supposed to happen to ME!! xDD) and rambling about how Flint is “able to ~conjure the reality he desires”, to Silver finally confessing about his part on the Urca gold robbery (which I’m at least 60% sure Flint suspected already tbh. That was not one of Silver’s best lies lbr) in order to force Flint to “account for ME” --but ofc still grabbing the nearest weapon as he confeses, just in case xDD. I am also incredibly delighted by the fact that the fandom calls that episode “shark date” asdñflkasjdf (*Flint and Silver barely manage to kill one shark*; Flint, challenging: again? *Silver grins*. Shark hunting = foreplay now, apparently).

I want it known that I end up ENRAGED every time they talk about their ~partnership lmfao. It comes off very intimate and gives me too many feelings xD. “When you and I talk with one voice, we can convince them of anything”; “your words opened that door [Flint convincing the Maroon Queen to spare their lives and join their fight]”; “you didn’t tell me the journey into the dark feels good”; “he doesn’t know how to say no to the both of us at the same time”; “I’m afraid I will be the end of you”. JUST STOP YOU ASSHOLES XDD

One of my favourite moments is when Silver convinces Flint to live. To go on, to talk to the Maroon Queen without a safeguard (that knife would’ve been his doom) and get her on their side (which Flint does with a super passionate speech about fighting England’s empire. ILH). Another is when Silver tells him he enjoyed killing Dufresne WITH HIS PROSTHETIC LEG OMFG (I personally think killing Dufresne was very valid of him lmfao), or Flint says Silver enjoyed punishing Dobbs (which in Silver fashion, worked perfectly for him because it made Dobbs MORE susceptible to him). Though obviously everything pales when compared to the scene where CAPTAIN FLINT COMES OUT TO LONG JOHN SILVER OVER A BONFIRE LMFAO. I loved that scene; it was so gentle. And then Silver made it about him and their relationship xDD (this show is not subtle). Flint’s apparent lack of concern about Silver replacing him is stressing me out though. I dread the series finale xD

Outside of Flint/Silver, Silver’s journey remains awe-inspiring. I just... love him. I love that he gave up his share of the Urca gold because he had to hold onto the crew, but that he is terrified of their bow to take care of him. His concern for his image in front of them was heartbreaking and hit waaaaay too close to home, too. And I wonder how he’s going to react to Billy’s King Long John Silver stratagem xD

BTW, I lowkey shipped him with Muldoon LOL. They should’ve had ~tender sex~~ (on screen, I headcanon it did happen off-screen, whatever) at some point (if only so there was one measly mlm sex scene in the show amidst all the rest. It’s troubling, to say the least, that there’s not a single one when it has a queer male lead tbh. And I get why they didn’t go that route with Flint outside of Thomas and can even see why they didn’t do it with Flint/Thomas even if I judge the hell out of them for it, but given how they go out of their way for the other options... yeah, I side eye them).

Jack

I LOVE HIM SO MUCH AND I WISH HE HAD MORE SCREENTIME, OKAY. Every time he opens his mouth the show gets just a little bit better, if you ask me xD. “If you’re going to behave like children, I will be your daddy” WHO SAYS THAT JACK XDD.

I loved him even more when he decided to deny Rogers & co the cache, Spanish invasion or not, to not give up and assure “his legacy”. And OF COURSE he could write his intentions in a way that only Anne would understand (Max reaaaally understimated him there). Their relationship remains the sweetest (weird adjective, maybe, but it’s true) part of the show, btw. I love that how Jack describes how hurt Anne would feel after knowing she might’ve unwittingly betrayed him. Or when he knew Anne giving up to easily meant she had a plan and he cheerfully told Rogers Anne would find a way to save him xD (the scene where he absolutely drags Rogers about his privilege --“but did I make up a lot of ground to catch you!”-- is perfect. And their reunion kiss was so, so cute.

Other highlights were when he threw away the key of the cache in front of Flint to secure it, or made his pitch to be his fellow captain in the fight. I also take a petty pleasure in the fact that Vane sacrificed himself when he went to his rescue LOL. 

I like that he convinced Blackbeard to fight alongside them, but sweetie, you have NOTHING to prove to that asshole. His opinion is worthless (between his “strife is good” and Vane’s “comfort is for women” takes... ugh. They remind me of the exact discourse among leftism I hate okay xDD. In Vane’s case I at least get where he’s coming from and I even agree in part, but Blackbeard is even more boring).

Misc

-I love Billy’s more and more insidious antagonism towards Flint lmfao (yes, Flint is also one of my Forever Faves. This is compatible AND the kind of thing that would make me appreciate Billy more. I love irreverence, period). It starts with subtle ways of trying to poison Flint and Silver’s relationship (telling Silver Flint doesn’t see him as an equal, sending Silver to deliver Flint’s message instead of Flint himself, etc.). I laughed at him saying he’s all for Flint sacrificing himself for the crew since it’d be the “first selfless thing I’ve seen him do!” lol. Or that he “wants a good view when things catch up with Flint and the world makes sense again”. And ofc, creating the legend of Long John Silver. You just know he remembered Flint’s out of left field “I AM YOUR KING” and said “not on my fucking watch” xDD. And I love the irony of him being the one delivering black spots LOL.

-Did it really took that long for Anne and Flint to share some freaking words smh. Barely, but I’ll take it. I liked the moment where Jack references Max as “Anne’s lost love” and Flint does that Closeted Queer Observing A Queer Couple Look lol (he did the same when he was witness to Max and Eleanor’s fight. You need more queer friends, Flint :P).

-I liked Mrs. Hudson from the moment that she told Eleanor that the only difference she saw between her and other ladies is that their families have better lawyer --which meant Eleanor was the first one she could be rude towards xD--, and accused her of living of her father’s nepotism LOL. I hope she ends up in a good place and safe back with her kids.

-I can’t say I care much about Vane or his relationship with Eleanor, but his death and her hand on it were very well written IMO.

-I find Rogers so inherently unlikeable in every way LMFAO. And as hypocritical as it might sound, part of it is the extramarital affair ngl. I hate storylines where a man married to a more “conventional” woman is ~attracted to one he perceives as “stronger”, “fiercer”, and more worthy of himself (as if his opinion on the matter is worth shit) --only to eventually try and make the new woman more conventional once he “has” her. This one hasn’t gone all the way there but it has traces of that trope and I loathe it with all my heart.

-The only moment I managed to pay attention to Blackbeard was when he mentioned he had shrapnel advancing towards his heart, and for anyone who knows me a little, you know it’s because my brain linked that to Tony Stark lmfao. *Sighs* I just never like any version of Blackbeard, period. I find them so boring. He’s the opposite of Long John Silver that way, because I’ve loved every single version I’ve encountered so far.

-The way Spain is portrayed in this show is so... unusual. Especially for USA content in my experience. One day I’m going to have to do some more research and write about how Spain (and in particular Spanish violence -inter and intranational) is portrayed across the ocean.

The next day went didn't go any better despite Adrien sitting down to work only a few hours upon waking up. Much of what he'd read was confusing. Some information was plain conflicting. Other required prior knowledge Adrien didn't have. By twelve in the afternoon, he gave up and picked up his phone. There was only one way out now.

“Hey, bro. What’s up?”

“Nino, help.”

There was a chuckle on the other side. “Don’t tell me you finally decided to escape your tower, Princess.”

Adrien puffed. “Not yet, Nino. This is serious.”

Nino laughed. “Okay, okay. Stop pouting. What happened?”

“I need a hacker. And a good one, please.”

Nino whistled. “A hacker? For what?”

“Remote computer hacking.”

“And you’re calling me because?”

“I don’t know anyone else who can help me. At least not anyone I can trust not to spill it to my father.”

“Oh. This is getting interesting. Do I get the details?”

“Only after you help me, and as little as possible.”

“Alright. How soon do you need him?”

“Like yesterday?”

“Geez, dude. What’s going on?”

“Don’t ask. Find me someone. You said your girlfriend knows all kinds of people. She might know a good hacker, right?”

“She might. I’ll have to ask. Give me a few, bro.”

“Thank you, Nino.”

“Don’t thank me yet. Talk to you later.”

Five minutes went by. Nino wasn’t calling back. Ten. Fifteen. Adrien picked up his phone again and opened Discord to distract himself.

Chat Noir: Good morning, my Lady. How are you this lovely morning?

Ladybug: Sleepy. You?

Chat Noir: I’m purrfectly fine. Been out too late?

Ladybug: Yeah. Going to take it easy today.

Chat Noir: Maybe you should scale back on clubbing? Just a suggestion.

Ladybug: LOL Why? Did you worry about me?

Chat Noir: Maybe? I mean dancing is one thing, but drinking and drugs… it’s dangerous.

Ladybug: LMAO Chat, have you ever been to a club?

Chat Noir: No?

Ladybug: LOL Though so. Well, to make it easier for you: the club I’m going to is more like an exclusive elite establishment for dancing, not your down the road disco. The owner is very strict and doesn’t permit drugs. Alcohol is very limited, and the bartender won’t allow you to get drunk. That’s one of the reasons it’s invitation only - to keep the contingent as decent as possible.

Ladybug: Personally, I don’t drink. I dance. That’s why I’m sleepy. Just tired from all that movement. But it’s a great way to keep myself in shape, both physical and mental, with such a time, energy, and sanity-consuming job as I have.

Chat Noir: If you just imagined me looking like a lecturing idiot, you’re right. That’s exactly how I look right now.

Ladybug: LOL I imagined you dismayed and confused and a little naïve. Like a kid.

Chat Noir: If you’re imagining me pouting, you’re correct again. I’m not a kid? :offended:

Ladybug: LMAO I didn’t say you were, Chaton. It just feels that way. Like you still don’t know a lot of stuff and still have a ton to learn. Not intelligence-wise because you’re smart. More like street-wise? Idk how to explain OTL

Chat Noir: LOL I got it. And yeah, you can say that. I admit I am pretty clueless to a lot of things. Mostly because I've never been exposed to them.

Ladybug: You poor kitten. Should I educate you? Ask me stuff, and I’ll tell you all the secrets.

Chat Noir: I’d love nothing more, but I can’t. Not now at least. Guess what I’m working on?

Ladybug: Any success yet?

Chat Noir: OTL

Ladybug: LOL I believe in you Chat Noir.

His phone rang and seeing Nino’s number Adrien sent “Gtg. Ttyl” to Ladybug and picked up.

“Yo, dude! Who’s your man?”

“You got me a hacker?”

A woman’s laughter sounded in his phone. “Try again.”

“Is that Alya?”

Nino snickered. “Yup, and she’s your man. We have a world-class hacker for you.”

“I love you guys!”

“Not so fast, lover boy. He isn’t cheap, and an emergency call costs twice his regular prices.”

“Not an issue.”

“Alya wants to come.”

“I’ve got to meet her one way or another, and from what you’ve told me about her, hacking into my father’s work computer would be the perfect occasion.”

“You got it.” Nino chuckled. “We can be at your place in an hour. Sounds good?”

“Sounds perfect.”

“Order a pizza.”

“Already dialling the number.”

“Then I’m off,” Nino said and disconnected.

An hour later he, Alya, and their hacker knocked on Adrien’s door.

“What’s up, dude.” Nino high-fived Adrien and motioned to the woman beside him. “This is my Alya.”

“It’s a pleasure to finally meet you.” Adrien greeted Alya with customary cheek kisses. “I’ve heard a lot about you.”

“I’m sure I’ve heard more about you.” Alya chuckled.

“I hope nothing bad.”

“Nope. Most of it was about how Nino wants to adopt you.”

Adrien laughed. “Yeah, he’s been trying to for ages, but alas I’m not an orphan.”

“With your father, yes, you are,” Nino scoffed. “He locked you in a gilded cage and left you to starve to death.”

“It isn’t so bad,” Adrien said. “As you see I’m far from dying.”

“Physical isn’t everything.” Nino poked Adrien’s chest with his finger and turned to the fourth person in the room. “But, dude, I’m glad you finally decided to rebel. This is Max, Alya’s former classmate and for today, your hacker.”

“Nice to meet you, sir.” Max straightened and offered Adrien his hand in greeting.

“Call me Adrien,” Adrien smiled, shaking Max’s hand.

“What are we hacking for?” Alya asked, settling on a coach in the living room.

“My father’s unreleased collection.” Adrien motioned for everyone to follow Alya and settle in the living room. “Tell me what you need, Max, and I leave the rest to you.”

Without delay, Max set up his equipment on the dining table and asked Adrien a few questions. After that followed hours of trial and error, takeout food and video games, joking around and snoozing on couches. Closer to the evening Max smirked, “I’m in. We have about ten minutes before we get detected, so why don’t you come here and tell me what you need, Adrien.”

As lighting, Adrien appeared by Max’s side. They quickly located the collection file and copied it onto Max’s computer. Five minutes later it was stored on two USB sticks, one for Ladybug, one as a backup for Adrien.

“Your father’s security system is one of the best in the world,” Max commented closing up. “I haven’t had such a challenge in years.”

“Fashion industry is very competitive.” Adrien shrugged. “He has to do all he can to safeguard his designs before the show.”

Max nodded. “I have to run now. I’ll send you my bill by email.”

“I’d better pay in person, if I may,” Adrien said. “Don’t want him to have any traces leading to me.”

“Sure. I stop by next week.”

“Works for me. Thanks for a helping hand, Max.”

“My pleasure.”

As soon as Alya left to show Max out, Nino, lounging on a coach, asked, “So, are you going to tell us why do you need this collection?”

“I’m not sure it’ll work yet,” Adrien smirked. “But I may have found a way to get out of taking a job at Gabriel for a few years.”

“Dude.” Nino grinned, sitting up. “You’ve grown so much. I’m so proud.”

“Don’t cry yet.” Adrien chuckled. “We’ll see first if it works.”

“It will,” Nino said. “You’ve earned some freedom from that freak. No offence, but you know I’m right.”

“I won’t quote you on that when asked.”

“I appreciate it.” Nino took a can of Cola, cracked it open, and toasted it to Adrien. “To your freedom, bro. You’ve earned it.”

“Thanks, Nino,” Adrien said, looking at two USB sticks in his hands. There was no way of going back now. It was forward only. He only hoped none of this would backfire.

Chat Noir: My Lady, I have the goods.

Ladybug: !!!!!

Ladybug: You kidding me?

Chat Noir: I kid you not. I have everything you ever wanted.

Ladybug: How? Not to be rude, but I didn’t actually believe it was possible.

Chat Noir: Are you saying you agreed to this only because you were certain I wouldn’t succeed, and so there was no risk in agreeing because you wouldn’t have to do anything because it was impossible for me to get the files?

Ladybug: That… was a very viable possibility.

Chat Noir: So, you’re backing out? After I’ve already dirtied my paws? OTL Cruel.

Ladybug: Did you kill anyone for this?

Chat Noir: :offended: :pout: Is that what you think of me?

Ladybug: LOL Sorry. I’m just shocked you were able to do this. That’s all.

Chat Noir: I am awesome. I know. :handsome: So are you still in?

Ladybug: I have to. You did your part, how can I back away now?

Chat Noir: :finger guns: I've put everything on a USB stick. How do I pass it to you?

Ladybug: Give me a few to think.

Chat Noir: Sure. I’ll be here meanwhile, basking in my awesomeness.

Chat Noir: Still basking.

Chat Noir: Still amazing… fifteen minutes later.

Chat Noir: :pout: Are you backing away? I mean you can if you want, but can you tell me if you do? Because it’s been like half an hour and I’m a little worried.

Ladybug: Chaton. I’m so sorry. I had to organize a way for us to meet without revealing our identities.

Chat Noir: OTL :dead: :resurrected: Please, warn me next time.

Ladybug: Will do. Now, do you remember the club I told you about?  

Chat Noir: The exclusive club for rich and famous? Yeah, I do.

Ladybug: LOL I wish. Anyway, you can bring the USB there.

Chat Noir: With all due respect, my Lady. I’m not leaving it to a third party. I’d be dead if Hawkmoth finds out.

Ladybug: You’ll be giving it to me.

Chat Noir: Won’t we see each other identity if I do?

Ladybug: No. Not there. One feature of this club is that everyone dresses up as their alter identities. I'm Ladybug, so I dress like one. You can dress up as Chat Noir. Paint a mask on your face. I won’t come close. I’ll send one of my friends. Probably Viperion. You pass the USB to him and he’ll give it to me right away. You can stay and see the exchange.

Chat Noir: You do realize I have to trust you like a LOT to do that.

Ladybug: We can always stop and forget this ever happened.

Chat Noir: I think I’m a little too deep in this already to back up now.

Ladybug:  Are you sure?

Chat Noir: Absolutely. Give me the address.

Ladybug: Alright. The name is Kwami Kave. 14 Zagstruc Ave. The stairs behind the main door will lead downstairs. That’s normal. Just go down. You won’t get lost after that. Come at around nine today. See you soon, Chaton.

ok that was mostly really good but what a BULLSHIT ENDING

i WAS going to say this might’ve made me cry if i was in a more emotional state, stories where “the ghost was just Hurt and needed help and needed to be understood” absolutely fucking WRECK me and i was going to say “having a Mother be the one person who figured out what this abused, murdered child wanted, a mother finding her and making a connection with her and bringing her peace, is so good” and i was going to say “noah going from ‘really unpleasant guy i cant be bothered to remember who makes fun of her fears and wont take her seriously’ to ‘absolutely going fucking feral trying to save rachel’s life and going to ANY lengths to get through this together’ is SUCH GREAT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT” but now im just fucking mad lmao

i never really like stories where it’s like.... a child is just Evil for no reason, like for one thing “idk its just evil” is boring (unless its like. disney villain musical number evil then its fun but u know) i dont think a child can be Just Evil, and especially when they set the parallel with the disabled kid like “sometimes your kid’s got Something Wrong With Them but you love them anyway” with “sometimes a kid’s just evil” / the implication that maybe her parents were right to murder her is SO fucked 

they had this beautiful moment of “this isn’t an evil monster, this is a child, this is a little girl who was maybe mentally unwell but that’s not her FAULT, and she was being abused by her father and was murdered by her mother and spent a week dying alone in a well knowing what her mother had done, she wanted to be found, she wanted someone to hear her, she wanted someone to understand her and it took a woman, a mother, to understand that and to FIND her” and then just threw it out for the shock value of “wait nope it’s not over she’s just evil and will keep killing people forever because she wants to spread her suffering to the world” 

i mean. i understand the particular horror in the “the only way to survive is to pass it to someone else” and maybe there’s some kind of “reporter realizes the cost of getting in other peoples’ business and reopening old wounds for the sake of a story; you want to share someone else’s pain, now you have to, now you have to share it with everyone or you’ll fucking die” message here but 

A) horror movies need to fucking realize they DONT HAVE TO HAVE A SHOCKER ENDING/A SAD ENDING ITS OKAY TO LET YOUR PROTAGONISTS SURVIVE ITS OK TO LET THEM HEAL ITS OK TO HAVE A RESOLUTION FOR ONCE HOLY SHIT

and B) that’s not what she was doing?? she mentions maybe doing a story on it but it was never about like, “if i solve this ill be famous/ill get a promotion” whatever she wanted to understand. she wanted to find out what happened. she wanted to protect her child, even if she couldn’t save herself, she wanted to save her son, so her motive was exactly what samara should have wanted, she should have been the perfect person to figure this out, she was trying to uncover the truth behind a child’s abuse and murder to bring that child peace and save her own child in the process 

and there was such potential for samara to communicate with aiden, a kid who’s different too, a kid who expresses in “unusual” ways like her, a kid who also has a rough time with his parents even if his situation isn’t nearly as bad

rachel wasn’t just trying to spread a rumor around, her motives were all in exactly the right place so why is she getting punished for it

or maybe THAT’S the point and it’s a “you tried to do everything right but now you’re being forced to spread evil and suffering anyway, even though that was the last thing you intended” i dont know. its bullshit and im mad but i still liked it up until that point enough to forgive it it was still. really good, despite the Massive Flaws :’|

Rhaegar is in no way the most important character of ASOIAF. A character who died before the story cannot be the true hero or the main protagonist or whatever you want to call it. Also, saying that Ned and Rhaegar are the two sides of Jon is silly. It ignores Lyanna. If Jon is the song of ice and fire, then Lyanna is ice and Rhaegar is fire. Replacing Lyanna with Ned is sexist. The mothers are absent enough in the story as it is.

🤦🤦🤦 I’m assuming that you’ve come here because you stumbled upon my post: JON SNOW AND HIS TWO FATHERS: A BALANCE BETWEEN ICE AND FIRE. I’m not gonna bother arguing, but I totally 100% recommend you to read the ASOIAF NOVELS. Because there you can read Jon’s pov’s and see for yourself why Jon has equal part’s of Rhaegar’s traits, as he does of Ned’s. (And Lyanna’s.)

Let’s talk about your first point, first. RHAEGAR IS CONSIDERED THE REAL MAIN CHARACTER OF ASOIAF. Grrm has said it himself too, he’s always wanted to write a story where the main character dies before the actual story begins. And who do you think that is? I’m going to assume that YOU’RE A CASUAL SHOW WATCHER only. Because even the BIGGEST Rhaegar Anti’s who HAVE READ THE BOOKS, will admit that Rhaegar is literally THE MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTER in the Ice and Fire Universe, or at least in the whole ASOIAF NOVELS. Just because the character is long dead from the actual story, doesn’t mean the character isn’t important or isn’t the TRUE PROTAGONIST. The show literally did a SHITTY JOB of conveying Rhaegar’s character that it is so easy to see him as a crazy psycho asshole who left his wife and children for a younger woman. Not the kind of protagonist you’d want to read about. But !BOOK Rhaegar was FAR MORE COMPLEX than that of his show counterpart. Because in the books, Rhaegar actually cared for his family. For Elia and their children. He LOVED Elia as a friend. They had a good, and mutual, and respectful relationship, but also a COMPLEX one. I probably didn’t do a good job explaining Rhaegar’s intentions and how that affects Jon in my previous post. But the reason why Rhaegar is CONSIDERED the real main character in the GOT universe, is because HIS ACTIONS had set forth ALMOST EVERY SINGLE MAJOR CHARACTER ARC IN THE ASOIAF NOVELS. And even up to the 5th book of asoiaf, HIS ACTIONS ARE STILL CAUSING THE RIPPLE AFFECT 14 YEARS LATER. (20 years in the show.) The Rebellion started because of the Mad King. Even before Lyanna was “kidnapped,” everyone was plotting to overthrow Aerys and put Rhaegar on the Throne. Rhaegar’s actions was the one that TRIGGERED the actual actions for the characters of Robert, Ned, etc. And exactly how did it come to this? Because Rhaegar believed in the Azor Ahai prophecy. Like Jon, Rhaegar IGNORED the “smaller problems,” and instead LOOKED AT THE BIGGER PICTURE. His motivations to bring forth Azor Ahai is what lead to his actions, which lead to Robert’s Rebellion, which lead to the events of Game of Thrones. It’s kinda like saying, “the ends justify the means.” It was either “save the world” from the threat up North, or DIE because the people failed to come together to fight them. Because of Rhaegar’s actions to fulfill this prophecy, Lyanna was “kidnapped,” and then Brandon died, so Ned had to marry Cat to gain the alliance of the Tullys. Which then lead to the BIRTH OF THE STARK CHILDREN. And then because of Rhaegar’s actions, Robert started a war to win Lyanna back, which lead to the sac of Kings Landing. Which lead to Tywin betraying Aerys. Which lead to the deaths of Elia and their children, which lead to the exile of Daenerys and Viserys, which lead to the death of Aerys, which lead to the coronation of Robert, which lead to Cersei marrying Robert, which then lead Varys supporting “Aegon (Young Griff). And then it eventually lead back to the VERY BEGINNING OF THE START OF THE SERIES. It lead to Ned adopting Jon. And I’m sure you’re smart enough to see where else Rhaegar’s actions brought the other characters. Yes, Rhaegar may have not been “a part” of the series or influenced the lives “PERSONALLY” of all the major players, but you’d be stupid to assume that Rhaegar had no importance or impact on the story being told now. You don’t have to be alive to have an impact on a story. That’s like saying Martin Luther King JR. didn’t have an impact on ending racism because HE’S LONG DEAD. (Yeah lol, even that doesn’t make sense. So why say the same thing about Rhaegar?) Let’s also not downplay the reasons behind Rhaegar’s motivations. Because the Azor Ahai prophecy in the books ISN’T JUST a prophecy. IT’S THE ENTIRE BACKBONE OF THE STORY AT AND BEYOND THE WALL. The EVENTS INVOLVING AZOR AHAI is considered a REAL event that took place thousands of years before the story began. And we can assume that it was real, because the White Walkers are real. MAGIC IS REAL. And it is slowly coming back because the dragons are back. YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A HERO TO BE THE PROTAGONIST. NO ONE IN GAME OF THRONES IS A “HERO.” JUST MORALLY GRAY CHARACTERS. 

Now for your second point, I just wanna say first, how dare you assume that I’m being sexist because I’m apparently “replacing” Lyanna with Ned. 😂😂😂 Lmao excuse me but LYANNA IS MY GURL. After Arya, SHE IS MY FAVORITE FEMALE STARK. LYANNA, JON, AND ARYA ARE MY FAVORITE STARKS. And I would NEVER degrade Lyanna’s importance in Jon’s story. Lyanna is SINGLE-HANDEDLY THE MOST IMPORTANT WOMAN IN JON’S NARRATIVE/LIFE JUST AFTER ARYA. Even if he doesn’t know it yet. And that is because Jon’s whole identity crises comes from not knowing that Lyanna was his mother. When you read my post, did you not see me making comparisons between Jon, Rhaegar, Ned AND LYANNA?? Because I’m pretty sure I mentioned Lyanna a couple of times. And you’re right. Lyanna represents ice, and Rhaegar represents fire. And Jon represents the balance between those two. But there are a lot of others ways to interpret ice and fire as well. Not just Lyanna and Rhaegar. For example while Rhaegar and Lyanna literally represent Fire and Ice personified, Jon and Daenerys can mirror to represent Ice and Fire figuratively. Or if you’re a Jonsa shipper, you could also say Sansa represents the fire, and Jon the ice? Or if you want Jonrya as they are a direct parallel of Rhaegar and Lyanna, both Jon and Arya themselves represent Ice and Fire as well. So when I said Rhaegar and Ned were a balance between Ice and Fire, I meant it as ONE WAY to interpret ice and fire, from the million of other ways that it can be interpreted from. In that post, I was talking about the importance of Jon’s fathers, and how Ned’s honor and morals, BALANCES Rhaegar’s passion, intelligence and leadership. Which in turn makes Jon a POWERFUL, INTELLIGENT, AND HONORABLE PERSON WORTHY OF BECOMING KING. (Someone who isn’t corrupt like literally all the other candidates for the throne. Or idiotic, for that matter)

HISTORY

this my most anti-social + rage-filled muse so we’ll see how he do... v v v loosely based on jake lamotta in the raging bull film. their personalities are actually a bit different ANYWAY 

raised around violence, saw ppl responded to it + listened when used so grew up with the kinda mentality where violence was the only answer 

not a great relationship with parents, lack of communication, abusive. vince’s parents married too young, fell out of love quick, took their frustrations out on each other and on their kid who never listened

so kept to himself at home but released aggression at school. a Big Fat Bully rip just picking on ppl all the time - not the weak ones but the strongest

got into a lot of trouble, juvenile diversion, detention etc. hefty fines bc of vandalism, assault etc. then eventually juvie for a short while for assaulting his probation officer. a mess. 

age 15, his mum (civilian) left his dad (cobra) and his dad remarried to a fellow cobra. his new mom wanted their own kid but couldn’t so adopted serah. ENTER: actual angel, light of vince’s life. the lil 3 y/o was his everything ok. not only did serah’s arrival soften his dad up a lil but vince had less reason to be angry about things too.

tho their parents were v absent, vince had no problem taking care of serah. in fact he was so happy to do it, even skipped school to spend time with her 

stayed out of trouble for serah, joined a boxing club which tamed him a lot, saved his anger for the ring. lost a lot at first but once he started to pick things up the cobras began to take notice as he quickly became the winning bet

doesn’t feel pain like normal people. can just charge + charge + charge @ people no matter how many punches to the head.

didn’t graduate high school but agreed to fight for the cobras + help them fix games for some extra dolla. enjoyed the money as paid back parents, became independent, and begin to save up to move into a house with his gf + financially support serah

never took the initiation tho. always rebelled against his parents and refused to join the cobras despite their wishes. didn’t like the thought of ppl telling him what to do. just wanted to fight, win, go back to his gf + sis with a fat wad of cash 

around the age of 23, he enlisted in the army with a bunch of his friends due to ~patriontic~ reasons but before he left married mimi who came from savage parents + eventually initiated when she was 18. had been dating her since he was 16. this was another reason why he swore not to join as a cobra

finds out she’s pregnant whilst he’s away. wasn’t planned. thought of kids scared him bc he never believed he’d be a good dad (spoiler alert: he right) 

comes back during leave to meet a lil bb rosie (age 25). elated but terrified. more than the war. goes back to afghanistan, hates not being there. so fucks up his own left ear, sent home with a medical discharge. deaf in one ear. called an animal. 

he’s obvs not the same as before, disoriented and a lil traumatized. also wow vince is not the best parent. has sm of his dad’s awful traits that he hasn’t unlearnt but is Trying. 

tried to do a normal job as a construction worker but just got into fights all the time, kept getting fired. was convinced to go back into the ring. so he did. but things were different. 

he didn’t get the same sense of relief from mindless violence. just needed the money. impact of the war - no release from shooting a gun and taking an innocent person’s life. being a solider was a job in the same way as a fighter. work, work. unsatisfied hunger.  

ANYWAY vince’s last fight (age 27), huge odds. cobras told him to lose. his friend bet on him to win against vince’s advice. friend had bet a lot of money. so won the fight. next day his wife was killed.

he thought it was the cobras. turns out it was the savages, they thought she was a snake. not only that but the cobras lost a lot of money. they wanted him to pay it back. he refused to initiate. but serah was pregnant as well. he needed to support the fam + didn’t want no dramaz.

so continued to fight. but now he didn’t know when to stop, didn’t know his limits. began to beat his opponents to death. did the odd job here and there - intimidation, repossession, torture. only to pay off his debts + lowkey protection for his fam 

age 29, parents die. livid. paranoid. took cobra initiation for official protection. also a way to hunt down his wife and parents’ killer + get vengeance. 

SUMMARY: ex cobra fighter, ex us military, widower, a decent brother (serah’s), trying to be a decent father, now cobra soldier. (all u have to know tbh)

PERSONALITY (?) ish

nine years later, not over it. still angry. still hunting for the savages that killed his loved ones. might even be dead but subconsciously it doesn’t matter to him, convinces himself they’re still alive to cope with guilt. give his life a kind of purpose he thinks is achievable. 

it’s pretty obvious to ppl he’s only in the cobras out of his own interest, protection and vengeance. he doesn’t exactly see other cobras as ‘family’ and his jobs are all done solo. just sticks to himself, gets shit done and doesn’t want anyone to bother him.

tryna be a good brother and a good dad and a good husband. crazy overprotective. don’t fucc with them, he’ll kill you. more brawns than brains. not a lot of morals. full of hate and rage. always sounds angry. even if amused. doesn’t talk much. speaks in grunts n gruffs n glares. talks weirdly, goes off tangents a lot. 

not book smart but v street smart. don’t bullshit him bc it’ll just piss him off. 

once he sets his mind to something that’s it, game over. dont try and change his mind.

ALSO tryna be a better man for his fam. goes to therapy (rarely!!), cut down on drinking A LOT tho sometimes has his moments, smokes privately. works out a lot, does DIY a lot, but also taken on hobbies that require a lot of patience like knitting, gardening, fishing. 

POSSIBLE CONNECTIONS

childhood friends - vince had a lot more space in his heart for people outside of his family when he was younger. he was more sociable, approachable. wasn’t exactly a social butterfly but had a group of friends etc. that he deeply cared for 

kobra kidz on the block - vince’s dad and step-mom were both cobra members. so people he grew up with due to their affiliations? old time friends, old time enemies. frenemies. anything. vince was very vocal about his disregard for the gang tbh. could’ve boxed together etc. 

annoyance - a younger chara that just won’t leave him alone lmao. maybe a cobra, maybe not. could be anything.

Samurai Love Ballad Party Part 6 - Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin Routes

Oh man, how scary to be the heroine! She nearly got killed for “trespassing”, lucky Kenshin saved her! Good that she’s alive but having to pull these “gifts” from Kenshin to Shingen on a cart sounds so rough… And I feel so sorry for the heroine, she doesn’t deserve this treatment for being thought of as a spy😥 But omg, the heroine was so cool when she stared Shingen down because she refused to give up on living since if she were to die, they might really get her brother to be the poison taster here. I always admire how strong the heroine is and how much she loves her family and how much she can sacrifice for them.

Wow, Shingen is so kind! He had a welcoming party for her and after asking why she became a poison taster, he even said he’d take her family in under Takeda so they won’t be troubled anymore. I think I agree with Shingen though, the will she had shown at that time really represents the person that she is and I wouldn’t regret believing in her either, even if she were to betray him later on. Hahahaha I love how cute and innocent Yukimura is, he’s so freaking adorable hahahah. Omg though when Shingen pinned the heroine to the ground, I really can’t tell what he planned to do, like was he really going to forcefully claim her?! Does he already know that she’s a girl? Did he want her to be honest about that?? Very brave of the heroine to just run away like that though, like I mean, what if Shingen does something to her family because she ran away? He probably won’t but still… How wonderful for her to fall and hit into Kenshin, why is he always in the forest🤣

Ooh Kenshin’s castle doesn’t allow women? At least Kanetsugu seemed to understand her situation back at Takeda after seeing hickeys on her neck, and he’s even kind enough to just say that she has to hide that she’s a woman if she wants to stay. But lolll heroine always gets caught as a girl when she’s changing🤣 LOLL at Kanetsugu lecturing Kenshin for wandering off all the time and bringing back useless things😂 I think I can understand Kenshin’s way and reason for keeping all these seemingly useless things. It’s true what he says. There’s probably billions of rocks in this world, but the one that came before him and caught his attention was this one and it couldn’t have been any other one. So even though there might be many like it, only this one was there at that time, kinda like the heroine I guess. She just happened to fall on him from the sky, I mean, where else is that going to happen lol. Omgg it was so cute when the heroine told him to pick his favourites and to start from there to try and get rid of something he doesn’t like as much as the others (since Kanetsugu told Kenshin he has to throw something away if he wants to keep the heroine), and the first thing he picked as a favourite was her without hesitation!

Kenshin hugging the heroine and comforting her and touching the marks on her throat was just so gentle and heartbreaking. It was nice that he hugged her to sleep but omg when he refused to let her go in the morning because he was cold lolol. I don’t know, but I’m so taken with Kenshin that I don’t want to go with Shingen later hahahaha. When he said he’d show her how he can protect her on the battlefield, my heart kinda warmed up☺️ I don’t like Shingen claiming her as property and that’s why he gave her a mark on her body😠 Honestly I don’t really accept his apology but I do understand that he’s probably used to winning over whatever he wants. Still no though. But omggg Kansuke was so cute when he told her to pinky swear and promise that he’ll never tell Shingen that she slept alone with Kenshin when she ran off hahaha. At least it was obvious to him that nothing happened between them so there’s no mistaking suspicions.

Shingen really goes to all the extremes though, I mean, having so many extravagant kimonos for the heroine to choose from and revealing to everyone that she’s a woman?? Is he planning to make her his concubine? Lmao at Yukimura though, he’s so cute and innocent as always, I love him. But wow a kimono with shibori dye sounds so intricate and amazing! It’s basically a dying method where they do like 10000 knots or something on the kimono so that some parts won’t be dyed and others will be, so that they can make a very intricate and detailed pattern, the thought of it sounds so labour intensive already, let alone actually doing it! It must be really expensive and special. No wonder why the heroine is so shocked to receive such a thing, and Shingen even said that one suits her most.

I’m actually quite interested in Kansuke tbh. I mean when he helped her tie her obi and told her he had a sister and that’s why he knew how to, it seemed like the path that he chose to be here must have been a saddening one. Especially since he said as one who lives in the moonlight and darkness, he can have no siblings and that’s why his sister thinks that he is dead and he lives as if he has no sister… But I think the idea of him even knowing how to tie an obi because of her means that he really loves and cherishes his sister, which makes it all the more saddening. It was really cute when the guys kept teasing Yukimura for being so innocent and knowing nothing about women, but I really didn’t expect Shingen to suggest that she marry Yukimura. I guess he knows that he’s dying soon so he wants to know that Yukimura is in good hands and that he won’t need to worry about him not finding a wife?

I guess all the heroine needed was for Shingen to tell her to not leave and so she stayed to repay their kindness. Wonder what their age difference is if Shingen was thinking of taking her in as an adopted daughter of the Takeda so she could marry Yukimura before hahaha. I can’t believe Shingen really doesn’t have much time left at all, he’s practically at the brink of death already… You can see why Kansuke is so worried and insists on him recuperating no matter what so that he can live longer. Now he’s stuck on a mountain with the heroine hahaha. I’m happy that her feelings got through to him though, I’m happy that he will try his best to continue living. He’s rather brazen to be leaving hickeys on her night after night though!!😮 Trust Saizo to notice the hickeys when they get back though omg hahahaha. LOL when Shingen says they’re from him and that she’s his woman now, and all of his retainers are like, he’s so manly hahahaha.

I like how they both relish in the comfort and warmth of the other, and she really supports Shingen’s mental state. He knows that he must come home to her now so hopefully he takes care of himself. It’s so devastating how one decision could so easily lead so many of Takeda’s men to their deaths, gunned down ruthlessly by the trap Nobunaga set. Not only did he have to witness the deaths of so many, but he also had to bear the guilt of his younger brother’s death at a place he thought would be safe for him, and now even Kansuke? How is Shingen going to accept all this? He’s the one that’s slowly dying and yet all these people who actually have futures are dying for him… How could he possibly be feeling… It’s just terrible. It’s even worse because he previously let Ieyasu and them go and didn’t chase them because of his illness and now that decision is biting him back very fiercely now.. It’s horrible…

I don’t want to believe that Kansuke is dead, I don’t want that..😭😭 I couldn’t believe it when Shingen said he wanted to commit seppuku, no, you’re not doing that Shingen!!! But I was surprised at how bold the heroine was when she bit into the medicine and gave it to him through kisses since he refused to take it, and she managed to convince him that whatever choice he makes, she will always be beside him. Dangg when Yukimura noticed that she slept with Shingen the next morning, how awkward lol.

But I think it was very heartwarming to see how faithful Shingen’s retainers were to he himself, rather than he as the leader of them all. He is a Takeda but he is Shingen and the one that they follow is the Shingen they’ve followed all along, I’m glad Shingen realises that a leader doesn’t have to exactly be a person that’s super strong and towers above everyone, what’s most important is that he has retainers he can trust to build this kingdom with him. I have to admit that seeing them burn the palace down as their means to escape was rather saddening, especially since everyone has been living there for so long and call it home.

Is the heroine pregnant though? I mean, I wouldn’t be surprised considering the amount of times they’ve done it lol. But that just means she’ll be in even more danger, she’s important enough to Shingen as a sort of mistress already so if she’s now carrying his child… Ieyasu won’t let her go.. Fighting to the death or giving up the heroine to Ieyasu as a hostage to spare everyone’s lives, I honestly don’t know what is right… All of Takeda’s men are brave and ready to give up their lives but they’re vastly outnumbered and if they want the heroine’s child to live, fighting doesn’t seem to be the best choice either… And I guess that’s why Oyamada had chosen to buy time by surrendering himself to Ieyasu, hoping that the heroine will escape. The hope of the Takeda is in her, especially with Shingen’s limited days, the child is even more important.

I am so happy to see more of Saizo! Especially when he saved her when she ran away and contemplated going back to help everyone, it’s difficult but you gotta prioritise the kid, heroine! Lmao at how blunt Saizo was, saying it’s obvious she has a kid considering all the things she and Shingen had done hahaha, that’s exactly what I thought🤣 I still find it crazy that Shingen’s father took over the Takeda clan at the age of 14! No wonder why he was so burdened with everything that he had to be forcefully replaced by Shingen, all that pressure, responsibility and all those lives resting on his decisions at that age, if he had a bit more time to nurture all that before he became the leader, things might have been much more different…

I don’t know whether I should be happy or sad that Shingen wanted to leave a life in her (the child) so that even when he’s gone, there’ll be something for her to live for, and to do that, he wants to create a peaceful environment so he’s working even harder in these wars. I feel so much pain for Shingen though, I think one of the worst feelings in the world as a leader is having to knowingly sacrifice the lives of your men as a diversion to keep yourself and your strongest men alive for a comeback later on. I’m sure they’re all prepared for this and are willing to die for Shingen, but having to make that choice must kill him on the inside… You’re literally telling them to die in your stead, it’s just heartbreaking…

It seriously broke my heart when Shingen covered Yukimura so that he could tell him to go and take care of his future child since he won’t be able to anymore. It must have killed Yukimura on the inside to have to leave Shingen there and protect the heroine and their child since he has always been ready to give up his life for Shingen. It was just so cruel to Yukimura that he had to live to be the one to carry Shingen’s child on his back and raise him in his stead. When Shingen died and broke his promise to go back to the heroine, I was so devastated. I was so mad when she nearly wasted his sacrifice by going to Nobunaga to beg him to keep her as a hostage instead of Shingen, like seriously! Luckily Nobunaga isn’t the type to just kill her. The only reassuring thing was that Yukimura found her and they could both mourn and depend on each other (although he ended up dying soon after as well…) Honestly though, didn’t like the rebirth thing with her and Shingen getting together in the modern day since Shingen wasn’t cool looking anymore and technically, they were different people so I honestly didn’t care and felt like it was shoved in just to make it a happy ending. Didn’t like it at all. Preferred it to have ended as that sad bittersweet ending, since even though she lost Shingen and everything, she still had his child to keep her alive and strong and I felt that that was the point of everything in the end, so having that modern bit ruined it for me. But otherwise, definitely did quite enjoy Shingen’s route more than I expected, it was pretty saddening.

Time for my favourite Kenshin~ Ohhh Kagekatsu is Kenshin’s adopted son?! It was so cute when Kagetsugu and Yoshichi noticed that the heroine was a girl and was about to say it out loud and then Kenshin interrupted to tell them that she’s called Yahiko and that she fell from the sky to aid them🤣🤣 The heroine is so cool, she even made Kenshin sweet sake as thanks for treating her so well and getting people to escort her back to Kyoto! It’s always so hilarious when Kenshin tries to go on his own merry way and Kanetsugu is like in your dreams and drags him away to work hahaha. Omggg Kanetsugu has a kid?! She’s so adorable! Lmao at him telling her not to get too close to Kenshin because he’ll be a bad role model😂 It’s so wonderful that Kenshin is a man that appreciates everyone’s role in society and thinks of every person equally as important, you can really see how much he cares for anything and everything, I guess that’s why he picks up so many random things and keeps them haha.

I’m surprised that Kenshin didn’t notice she was actually a girl. It’s good that she came clean to him, but I guess she can’t go home yet with the snow blocking roads. It’s with a heavy heart and burden that Kenshin is the way he is. He feels like a weak man that can’t protect all the things he loves since just as he protects them, he is taking away these things from others. His blood stained hands are something difficult for him to carry because he is such a kind man. I guess it was really shown when Kenshin saved the heroine from assassins trying to kill him but when he tried to pick her when she fell, she flinched at the smell and look of blood on him. It couldn’t be helped but it must have hurt him very deeply to know that he really is as foul as he thinks. I was so happy when they made up with the heroine telling him that she was scared but not because she’s scared his bloodstained self would defile her and that she and the others see him for who he is rather than a god, especially the Kanetsugu that’s always lecturing him lol. So cute that they’re friends now haha, Kenshin’s so adorable. Kanetsugu lecturing Kenshin like a mother is still the cutest though lolol. It was so funny how everyone was running away from eating Kagetsugu’s weird tasting mochi or dango, but then the heroine helped tell him what was wrong with how he was cooking it and then it turned delicious! Nice to see them bond.

You gotta love how touched Kanetsugu was when Kenshin was actually willing to part with some things in his treasury lmao. He’s really grown! Kanetsugu can be proud now hahaha. I find it so adorable that Kenshin can fold origami so well and delicately, so nice that he and the heroine spent their afternoon like that with him teaching her how to fold a flower, without even realising how much time had passed, I think that’s a wonderful way to bond. Also great that they went out together and he got a female kimono made for her with the fabric he gave her😊😊 I was happy to see Kagetsugu go to personally thank her for helping him improve his cooking, but I wonder why he’s not very happy about her being close to Kenshin? Did Kenshin used to be with Kagetsugu’s sister? Why did Kenshin surrender his life to this assassin?🤔

My heart broke when Kenshin said that anything that makes him happy is something he shouldn’t have. He doesn’t believe he deserves happiness because his most favourite thing was taken from him because he is supposedly a murderer. I assume Kagetsugu’s sister was killed by an enemy or something and that’s why Kenshin doesn’t want the heroine to stay here and be in danger since he’s so fond of her. I’m glad the heroine decided that she won’t leave and wants to stay here with him and pleaded that she wants him to live. Even if he doesn’t think he deserves to live, that doesn’t mean he really doesn’t, so I’m glad the heroine told him that and confessed to him too! I’m also really happy that he didn’t reject her and instead let her come into his heart☺️☺️

It was so cute when Kenshin announced their relationship by getting her to wear the kimono and holding her hand in front of everyone and telling them hands off hahaha. But I think the most touching thing was when he opened up his heart and told them that his rule for forbidding women wasn’t because of something like he didn’t want people to fight over him but because he understood that once a castle falls, the ones that are treated the worst are the women and he didn’t want that. But now that the heroine came into his heart, he wants to live without fear of that but to strive even further to prevent that from ever happening and I think that’s very admirable. Cutest thing was Kanetsugu looking over them with a gentle smile, he’s so much like a doting father hahaha. I love that Kanetsugu has so readily accepted her as one of them and takes care to explain anything she is confused about!

I knew Kagetsugu was the one wanting to kill Kenshin but I’m glad he realised the great man Kenshin is. The only heartbreaking thing is Kenshin succumbing to the poison from the battle, losing his strength to wield his sword and losing his eyesight to see the people he loves. I wanted to cry when Kanetsugu cried, I don’t want Kenshin to suffer… The only happy thing is that knowing Kagekatsu can lead the clan in his stead especially with Kanetsugu beside him, as well as all the other faithful and strong retainers. I’m just so sad that Kenshin can still joke around and be so optimistic about everything. I’m happy that Kenshin got to spend the rest of his days peacefully beside the heroine. But she’s right, his last wish for her to live until she’s an old lady really was so cruel… Of course you want the one you love to keep on living even if it’s without you, but when they promised to live and die together and the fact that his existence is what gives her life, it really was terrible of him to do that… But very understandable.

So, same with Shingen, they reunite in the modern day in order for him to keep his promise to make her happy. Still, the thought of Kenshin dying with his eyes that couldn’t see anymore still breaks my heart even if they could reunite in the present. Overall, both routes were tragic but also romantic and I think in terms of story, I might have enjoyed Shingen’s just a bit more, but in terms of the guy and the retainers, I have to say, I really enjoyed Kenshin and his relationship with Kanetsugu and the rest the most. Kenshin was so adorable as well so it was difficult to not find it all so entertaining. Shingen was passionate and strong whereas Kenshin was gentle and emotionally burdened, I ended up really liking the both of them, but Kenshin’s still the one my heart belongs to hahaha.

Shit i really liked and kinda didn’t like about Ragnarok

I recently saw ragnarok and became so rejuvenated that i brought my marvel blog back but i wanted to seriously talk about like things that i liked and really didn’t just to get shit out there. 

Things i really liked (like so much that i am obsessed)

-Thor’s new hair cut/outfit, i think its actually super suitable. Gives that sort of cool ass warrior refugee look. Plus, Chris Hemsworth is beautiful. 

-The humor, oh god it was hilarious, i’ve never laughed so genuinely and so much in my life and it made the movie so charming and relatable. It was also such a departure from The Dark World and the first Thor, which dealt with so much emotional baggage for not only just Thor, but for Loki, who basically suffered throughout both movies. 

-Hulk being an actual toddler/Bruce Banner being so fucked up and anxious because WHEN DID HE GET ON AN ALIEN PLANET. 

-”You’ve been on other planets before i assume” “Yeah, one!” “well now it’s two” 

-Valkyrie. Her entire everything gave me so much to love and adore. Tessa Thompson has stole my heart yet again. 

-TAIKA WAITITI AS KORG WAS ACTUALLY SO FUNNY

-The little tiny glimpses of Loki and Thor’s childhood, aka the snake story, get help. It really showed how much time Loki and Thor had spent together, which i assume is a lot because age in Asgardian years work differently probably? Like imagine that, Loki and Thor spending time together and being inseparable for 100 years. It showed that they were always close despite loki feeling different or alienated, which explains why its so hard for Loki to just leave thor for dead. 

-”You’ll always be the god of mischief, but you can be so much more” See that shit destroyed me. Thor acknowledges that Loki is not like him. He’s a trickster, manipulative, and selfish. But he also acknowledges that Loki is so much more than his tricks and lies, which shows so much character growth in Thor, who sees loki as more than just an asgardian prince that was raised the exact same way opposite of Thor, but as his own fucking person.

-Thor actually not being stupid and falling for Loki’s tricks, aka his magic projections of himself/his petty, stupid betrayals. Tom mentioned that Thor was evolving and that Loki was finally starting to realize that he’s the only one not growing. Scenes like the betrayal scene and the snake scene, although meant to be hilarious, point out that Thor isn’t that idiot that just was too trusting of his brother, he sees through Loki’s tricks, he’s seen them for years, and it really shows that Loki’s getting predictable with his fake deaths and betrayals, which might hint at him changing? 

-IT FIXED THE INCONSISTENCIES. The main reason i didn’t like Dark world, though i did see it as amazing for its ability to mix the emotional darkness between Loki and Thor along with the humor throughout the movie, was because it pointed Loki out to be the type of cold blooded monster that would murder his own father. I mean I’m no Loki apologist, i love the kid but he’s killed, he’s manipulated, he’s hurt everyone around him, but i doubt he could ever kill Odin, no matter how much of a shitty father he is. Also low-key hated the whole “Loki if you betray me, ill kill you” Thor bullshit. We all know thor wouldn’t be able to do that, he still hopes Loki is his brother. 

-AGAIN, THE SNAKE SCENE WAS SO FUNNY. 

-”I thought the world of you Loki.” Ouch. 

-Hulk and Val’s bromance. 

-The entire Valkyrie v. Hela scene. It was so beautiful and ethereal i actually nutted. 

-LOKI DIDN’T NEED TO COME BACK. HE DIDN’T NEED TO GO BACK TO THE SHIP WITH THOR. HE DIDN’T NEED TO GO BACK TO ASGARD. HE COULD HAVE NOT. BUT HE DID. BECAUSE SOMEWHERE IN THERE UNDER THE SELFISHNESS MAYBE HE CARES.

-Hela. I loved her character, but honestly here is where i think there might’ve been some failure despite how much i loved that movie. She seemed so out of place as a villain, and i feel like the whole related shit tried to mimic Guardians vol. 2, but honestly the fact that Thor didn’t care much about her made her feel so out of place. But i did like some parts, like how she was so disappointed about not being remembered or what her existence and disappointment did to how loki was raised. 

-Dr. Strange? Ok that was weird. It makes sense and it was funny to see him but to be honest i wasn’t into it. 

-tHE SCENE WITH VAL AND A GIRL BEING CUT. WHYWHYWHY

-tbh was not fond of frost master, don’t hate me. 

-Loki possibly taking the tesseract????? And hinting that he might turn evil again??? don’t do this to me marvel. 

-loki possibly being turned into the quirky sidekick of his brother. Loki is Thor’s equal, not his annoying little brother/wacky sidekick. I didn’t get that vibe often, but sometimes i did honestly. 

-RIP thor’s hammer. 

-ODIN BEING A PIECE OF SHIT YET AGAIN. 

-Hela’s entrance. it was so quick and like out of place i was like what wait, Loki and thor didn’t even have time to prepare or even mourn. 

-the comedy. It was its best and worst part of the movie. Sometimes it was tasteful. Other times it was too much. Thor and Loki didn’t even get to mourn for their dad who tbh was an asshole but still their dad before there was a annoying joke about kneeling. It took away from the story sometimes.

-the lack of hugging between thor and loki.

-The way they glossed over the warriors three’s death like they weren’t Thor’s closest friends and the only ones there for him when Odin tried to banish Thor to earth :-))))) I mean after all that shit he went through I’m pretty fucking sure it probably hasn’t caught up to him but ya bitch still pissed. 

-The way, Thor, who basically admitted that Loki actually meant the world to him and was the only family he had left, didn’t ask where he was after asgard exploded? Like tbh i get it, he trusts Loki, his brothers capable and strong and most of all really fucking smart, but i’d still be like :-) the fuck is Loki. I think this is a directing error though rather than like the characters fucking up but i was freaking out, i mean asgard was literally pebbles and everyone was out BUT my son. 

-No sif, i mean i get it Jaime Alexander was busy but like y'all could’ve explained smh. 

-Loki not getting a hair cut. When will his emo phase end. 

-Not getting that one flashback to 80′s asgard with mullets and emo loki. 

Overall it was pretty fucking cool, one of the best movies of the trilogy. I fell in love with the marvel cinematic universe all over again. But it wasn’t perfect.

So. This is a master post about my grandma. Some of this has already been talked about here but I posted this on my private fb and wanted to keep it here too.

Okay.. so. This is gonna be a long and detailed one.

Ive never had a space where I could vent about my grandma to more than just people close to me without being blamed or her finding out. The only family I have on here is my mom and im hiding this post from her for various reasons. I understand if many of you can't read all the way through this because its gonna be a lot. I just want the people around me to have a better grasp on exactly why im so depressed.

Before I start im gonna add a trigger list because there is a LOT and im probably going to be very emotional typing this. A lot of it ive never spoken about publicly.

Okay. Im going to start at when I moved in with her. She tricked my mother into signing over custody of me when I was 10. When I was 9 years old I was forced into a mental hospital after being heavily overdosed on medications meant for adults to the point I was "sitting upside down in my chairs unresponsive and talking about tranquilizers" which i have no memory of. The hospital was probably the worst experience in my entire life and I was almost murdered by one of the older kids. After getting out of there I moved in with my grandma.

Throughout my life shes said and done so many horrible things to me. She would always yell and scream about the smallest mistakes. She used to pick me up by my hair. She was just fucking horrible to me.

Around the age of 10-11 when I started going through puberty she would always make fun of the way my genitals looked. She would ask me to stretch my labia out and move it around. Specifically she would ask me to "show me your bat wings". It was fucking disgusting but as a child I thought it was just haha funny joke.

For a while I thought I just imagined that until my mom brought it up to me and how she CAUGHT HER saying that to me multiple times. So I had confirmation that I wasn't just imagining it. I once confronted her about it and she immediately started crying (ive only seen her cry 3 times in my entire life) and told me if I ever said that again she would tell everyone in my family that I was a "prostitute" and would make everyone in my family hate me, and that it was my mother who did that to me.

My mom lived with me and my grandma for a few years but eventually moved out on her own because she couldn't handle my grandmas abuse.

My grandma dated my moms r*pist, which was my moms uncle, and told my mom she never got r*ped, and said my mom only fucked him for "attention and cigarettes". My mom was 12 at the time.

My grandma told me at 15 that the "only reason you think you're trans is because you got diddled as a kid"

My grandma called me a whore when I started becoming sexually active despite her having her first child at 16.

She once told me I was "just like my father" who is a sex offender and abused me as a child. I was also forced to give my at-the-time step brothers head when I was 3-5 and was taught that it was okay.

My grandma has called me every possible name in the book. Anytime she does something wrong its automatically my fault. She told me she would believe that im trans when I showed her my dick (at 16).

Shes incredibly rude and racist, says she hates how she can't understand Asian people. She's said the n word. She's made so many "jokes" about how "aggressive" Black people are. When my cousin found out he had Black in him she said, and I quote, "I always knew he had a n***r ass" which fucking disgusted me. Shes scoffed at my mother for limping. She scoffs at anyone disabled. Always says "you wouldn't catch me looking like that in public." She would tell my mom she was faking her pain. And coincidentally of all 4 of her kids, one was born with physical deformities. she says thats not the reason why, but she gave her up for adoption. She yells at anyone standing in her way who isn't aware. She is incredibly rude when she speaks to people to the point its embarrassing.

When I hung myself earlier this year and a friend came to pick me up she was yelling at me like "Oh so you went and tattled on me didnt you? Did you say oh boo hoo shes so abusiveeee!!" As I had literally just laid passed out in the snow from hanging myself.

When she found out I hung myself she bitched about how I had her snow boots and how she would have had to climb up the hill to find my fucking body as if it were a chore. She asked me if I wanted to be cremated out of nowhere and when I said no she replied "good I didn't want to have to pick your piercings out of your dead body" when I told her she made me want to kill myself she laughed at me and said "well then you'll never survive" my first suicide attempt was at 12 years old. A few weeks ago I started carving at my throat in front of her because im so desperate for her to LISTEN to me for 5 FUCKING SECONDS. I have legitimately cried on my knees and begged her to treat me like a person time and time again. She laughs at me and turns it around to my issues. She guilt trips me and makes me think everything is my fault. She calls me disgusting for having 1 or 2 shirts on the floor. She told me to MY FACE she will never see me as trans. Misgenders me, misgenders my friends. I jokingly told her one of my cis friends was trans, and when she left she asked me "does he really have a penis?" ABOUT A WHOLE ASS CIS WOMAN. She told me she ran over and killed a dog with a broken leg to "put it out of its misery" she would always use glue traps and I told her not to tell me about it so she waits until were in public and says "yknow whenever I catch a live mouse on one of the traps I throw it into a plastic bag and then go do the litter box to suffocate it". Shes threatened to make me pay the hospital bill when I called 911 because she was unconscious. She says horrible things to me EVERY FUCKIJG DAY. She's always making everying my fault all the time and sits and smiles while I'm sobbing and pouring my heart out because im tired of the abuse. Im so fucking tired. It goes on and on and on every day of my life. I literally slit my throat in front of her and she only stopped being mean for about a week. Im so depressed and mentally ill and this is beating on me every moment of my fucking life.

Edit: some other notable things, when my grandpa disowned me and stopped speaking to me for over a year she told me it was probably because of how disgusting I was. And "nobody wants to be around that".

She will ask me specific random questions about specific friends and if I dont know the answer or I forgot, she goes on a tangent about how terrible of a friend I am.

When I was cutting her hair she kept telling me I was doing it wrong, so I did it her way and she hated it and told me she's glad I didn't pursue hair because im terrible at it.

When my cat was dying she originally refused to take him to the vet because he was "just gonna die anyways so I might as well let him", then gave up her cat to the vet because she was peeing but didn't wanna take responsibility for that so she lied to them and said she showed up at her door and didn't tell them her age or even her name and that was so fucking cruel.

When she starts laughing at me sometimes she'll talk to me in a whiny "baby voice" and be like awwww, waaa im so abusedddd *mocks me crying*.

And she always talks in a tone that sounds pissed off and seems confused when I feel like I'm being scolded.

She gets in my face and puts her finger in my face and backs me into corners sometimes and then when I smack her hand out of my face she says she'll put me in jail for abuse.

Oh yea and simetimes when she gets mad at me she'll be like "ok GIRL" in the middle of me talking. Like its annoying and uncalled for.

I cant believe I forgot this holy shit. Years ago (was a minor here as well) I was attacked by my neighbors dog and it knocked me down and when I got home my grandma was accusing me of be******ty and said she was "watching it fuck me" and I was so fucking disgusted and hurt.. I try to block that from my memory because it was my third dog attack and I was traumatized.

She also regularly calls her brother a F@ggot. He is the only lgbt family member (he's gay) that i have.

She regularly fatshames people while only a few feet from them. And will whisper to me about how disgusting they look.

She asks for all of my friends deadnames and gets mad when I dont answer.

"I can't be abusive because I give you a home. I could have let social services take you."

"I cant be racist because my ex husband is Black"

"You must be living in a fantasy world where you make up shit that ive done."

A/N: OK so here comes chapter 16!   Please be gentle since I only wrote this fic for one day hahahaha I cannot seem to get it out of my head. Also, I am thinking this series will have at least 5-6 more chapters, I tend to get carried away when I write something so it always gets extended LMAO so I hope you can let me know what you think about this chapter, I promise this will lead to something good soon :))))

“I am so happy to see you again, ______, it’s been a while…”  Mark’s mother grabs your hand from across the table and you nodded at her.

“You might be… wondering as to why I suddenly appeared, ______, after about 10 years… You are even more beautiful.”  You blushed at her compliment and you smiled at her.

“You are still as beautiful as ever, Mrs –“

“Just call me Aunt Dorine, _____, we do not need that formality.”  She giggles and you blushed even more before she continues.  “I… I actually have a few things I wanted to talk about… I hope that you have the time, ______?”

You cannot seem to respond back; the questions that popped up inside your head the moment you saw Dorine a few minutes ago in front of your office building are still lingering inside your head, muffled by the outside noises but they are still there, waiting to be let out so that the fuzz in your head disappears.

“I – I do…”  You mumbled and Dorine lets out breath before reaching out for her bag that is nested on top of the chair beside her.  She pulls out a huge photo album before handing it to you.  You stared at it with a confused look on your face, which reminded her of how Mark looks like when she first showed him the same photo album.

“W-what is this?”  You asked while you grab the photo album from her hands and she pursed her lips.

“I wanted you to open it and go over each page and photos… By then you would understand why I am here…”

You gaped at the older woman in front of you before dropping your gaze on the album that you placed on top of the table.  You ran the pad of your fingers against the velvet-like cover before skimming the edges carefully.  For the first time in a long time, you weren’t overthinking about a simple stuff like this, rather, your mind was left blank.  You had no idea as to why Mark’s mother was back out of the blue and why she wants you to take a look at an old photo album.

“Go ahead, ______.”  Dorine places a hand on top of yours that is on top of the table, which is balled into a tight fist without you knowing.  You looked back at her and nodded; before slowly lifting the cover of the album.  The first page was blank, exciting and thrilling you a bit more, then you flipped over to the next page and you gasped in surprise.  The hand that is on top of yours begins to massage your knuckles as you try to comprehend why Mark’s mother has your childhood photos.

“W-why do you have the-these photos, Auntie Dorine?”   This doesn’t make any sense to you, at all.  Dorine still hasn’t spoken and you shakily went to the next page, seeing your graduation photos from elementary as well as a photo of you in the library sleeping with a Korean-English-English-Korean book next to you.  The third page was your graduation photo in High School, with Marika, as well as some random photos taken in the orphanage and at the theme park a few days after your graduation.  It was your first time going there and Seungri had mentioned that it was your sponsor who gave you the tickets as a graduation present.

This is all becoming such a blur and you need answers, your head is threatening to give you a splitting head ache.  Could it be that – she was your sponsor?  But Nichkun clearly mentioned that it wasn’t them 10 years ago, right?

“I know you are a bright girl so you must have an idea as to why I have those photos of you.”  Your thoughts were interrupted by Dorine speaking so you lift your head up to meet Dorine’s loving eyes that are sparkling with mist and a smile on her face. Could it really be true?

“S-so, you mean – you were–“

“Yes.  I was your sponsor.  I was the one who contacted the orphanage to contact you and bring you to Korea to live and study here… To have a new life altogether.”  She says and you flipped another page of the album and a few photos from college appeared, including one of yours and Jinyoung.  The next page revealed your college graduation photos.

“I had requested Seungri to take some of your photos while you were under their custody and he secretly sends them over to me…” You ran a finger over a blank space next to your college graduation photo and thought as to why it is empty.

“B-but why didn’t you tell me?  My whole life I was wondering who could be the wonderful person or people who had showered me this kind of blessing… I – I was so jealous of Marika because after graduating from high school she already know who they are and I was…”  You trailed off and Dorine let out a sad sigh before intertwining your hands together.

“I asked Doctor Nichkun as well as Seungri-oppa, if it was you who had sponsored me but both of them refused and told me it wasn’t you but they cannot disclose who they are either since it was confidential…” You know you shouldn’t be disappointed because you just learned that it was the Tuans who is responsible for your sudden movement to Korea, but the fact that she hid it from you kind of hurt you, and, sadly, it took over your emotions.

“I – I don’t understand Mrs. Tuan... Now I am getting really confused…”  You let out a sarcastic laugh.  “You hid it from me before and now you came back?  What’s with the change of mood?”  You dropped your before withdrawing your hand from her grip gently; placing both of your hands on top of the photo album next to the mug of coffee that arrived in the middle of your conversation with Dorine.

“I know… ______, I am sorry.  I really am.  I know I should have told you earlier… Nichkun and Seungri had told me that you’ve been inquiring and it was me who requested to not tell you because…”  She looks at you before looking at her side, trying to stop herself from crying.

“I – I have my reasons, ______, and if I am to decide, I will take you right then and there when I was still in (Y/C/O) and you woke up… But… I have a family… I am not sure how they would take it if I bring you home…”  She explains and the look on her face when she met your gaze is sincere and still loving, despite you being a little rude towards her.  You quickly regretted the words you’ve said earlier, of course if you were to put yourself in the shoes of her other children, it will be a shocking news to them too… You were about to say sorry for the rudeness that you’ve displayed a few minutes back but Dorine continued.

“My husband, Raymond… You haven’t met him but he was with us when we were visiting you back then… I talked to him that I wanted to adopt you and bring you with us but… but he refused.  I understand him – it wasn’t easy to take you in that time because all of our 4 children are studying… and…”  She bit her lower lip and the gesture kind of reminded you of how Mark bites his lower lip.

“And?”  You played with the hem of your skirt as you waited patiently for her to continue.

“He doesn’t like the fact that… That you’re… sick…” She bows her head and you let out a breath – of course.  Who would want to adopt a crazy girl who was abandoned by her own mother and almost got killed by her own father?  

“So, if that was the case, then why did you ask the orphanage to take me?  That was not what Raymond wants, was it?”  You asked and Dorine nods before running her fingers over the handle of her coffee mug.

“He doesn’t know about it… I hid it from him…”  She explains and you cannot help but ask another question.

“W-what about Mark?  Does he know?”  You gulped, it’s been awhile since you mentioned his name.

“He doesn’t know… At first…”  She looks at you before shaking her head.  “I hid it from everyone because I don’t know how Raymond would take it… But I had loved you so much and I cannot stand the thought of leaving you all alone back in your home country without any family member… So I wanted to keep you as close to me as possible – so I have decided to just have you stay in one of the most decent orphanages I know…”  She says and she was crying again and it broke your heart.  Now you felt remorseful, all Dorine thought about was you – even going against her husband’s decision just to make sure that you are safe and well-taken care of.  You felt stupid for being harsh on her earlier.

“I – I’m sorry Auntie.”  You stood up and circled around the table to wrap your arms around your sponsor’s shoulders from behind before leaning your chin on top of her shoulder, and she rests her forearms on top of your arms, shaking her head while rubbing your skin in soft circles.

“Don’t be… I deserve it, ______, -“

“No, Aunt Dorine, you don’t deserve any of this, I am sorry if I became mad at you earlier.  After all, you just thought about me…”  You hugged her tighter and she chuckles before releasing your grip from her shoulders slowly, pulling you to stand next to her.  She reaches up to wipe your tears before holding your hands.

“I am just so happy that I was finally able to tell you this…  I’ve been waiting for this day to come, ______.”  She says and you nodded.

“Me too… I never thought I’ll be able to see you again, Auntie…  Thank you so much for everything that you’ve done for me.  If it weren’t for you, I won’t be able to live normally again… After all that happened…  I owe you everything, Auntie…”  You cried again, this time, you are sure that these are tears of happiness.

The two of you continued to comfort each other and shared a few more stories.  You have ordered some decent dinner as well while you two are chatting. Surprisingly, she haven’t brought Mark up yet.

“S-so, Auntie… What made you decide to tell me about all of this?”  You asked her and she looks up from her food before she holds your gaze for a few seconds. She settles her utensils down before wiping her mouth with a napkin.

“Mark told me that he had met you at the bar, though he didn’t recognize you at first, yet he had a feeling that it was you.., so for him to be sure, he asked me…”

“So that night, I told him everything that I told you… Including his father’s disagreement on the whole set up…” Dorine didn’t mention the other reason why Raymond doesn’t want to take you in, because that was one thing that she would fix by herself.  You just listened to every word that Dorine says and something had clicked.

“A-Auntie, d-did you and Mark talk s-sometime around 2 weeks ago?”  You asked and Dorine nods.

“He had told me everything that happened after that too. ______, he was confused because of everything that I said… He got afraid that he might hurt you, afraid that he might hurt us, that’s why he did the unexpected.”  You quickly remembered what Marika had said after all the chaos had happened.  She told you that Mark had went to his Mom the night before and that something might’ve happened that led him to doing those things.

“H-he was crying to me last night, ______.  He was so conflicted… He was so sorry for what he did to you that lead to… Some terrible things to happen.  I’ve never seen him cry so much even when he was a child, my dear.  Mark has always been a silent boy and always keeps his problems to himself so that he won’t be a burden.  But that night, I was positive that he was really hurt and do not know what else to do… And it was all my fault…”  She says and you just stared at her, your mouth agape.

“S-so that was the reason why he avoided me? Because–because he doesn’t want to disappoint his father… not because he doesn’t want to see me, is that it?“  You confirmed and she nods again, reaching out to cup your cheek.

“My son loves you so much, ______.  I already know about it since 10 years ago.  I saw the way he took care of you back then and how pained he looked like last night… I am positive he is totally in to you…” She removes the strands of hair that blocks your face.  “And I know that you love him just as much… and I always wanted you to be my daughter, though I won’t mind a daughter-in-law as well.”  She giggles and winks at you and your face blushed a beet red, your ears flaming as you bow down to hide your face from and your joy is over-flowing.  

Mark loves you.  He really does.  And you’re not going to deny that you like him back, for sure.

However, your happy thoughts were interrupted when you suddenly remember that one problem still needs to be addressed.

“But, Auntie… How about your husband?  What if he finds out?  I don’t want to risk you and Mark being in trouble because of me…” You said and Dorine shakes her head.

“Don’t worry about him, I will take care of him.”  She winks and you tried to smile.  If earlier you were not able to think at all, right now, you are overthinking this whole thing.  Yes, this is the most ideal situation right now, you are positive that Mark loves you and you are totally head over heels for him too, and his Mother approves of you, but how about his Dad?  You do not know much about him apart from his name.  Also, if you are to gauge how Mark reacted that night, it seems that there is something serious about this whole thing with his Dad.

Dorine had sensed your uneasiness and she got worried – so she holds both of your hands before staring at you with sincere and caring eyes.

“______, do not worry about my husband.  It is not your problem anymore.  I will do anything for my son to be happy.  I know that he would not be truly happy until he gets to be with you, ______.”  She squeezes your hands for another reassurance and you tried to clear your head with the unnecessary and negative thoughts.

“H-how about you, Auntie?  Do you like me for your son even though I – I’m si-sick?”  You asked her and she laughs before playfully pinching your puffed cheeks.

“You were never sick for me, ______.  And as I told you earlier, I would want you to be my daughter-in-law.  Perhaps I can just have you call me Mama, sounds fair to you?”

Mama.

It has been a long, long time since you’ve uttered that word and fresh waves of happiness wash over you as you will get the chance to call someone Mama again.

“M-Mama?  Mama Dorine?” You muttered in a low voice and tears fell from your eyes again as you see the happiness in Dorine’s eyes.

“I like that better.”  She mumbles before enclosing you into another bear hug.

“Mama. Mama Dorine.”  You repeated again and again until the two of you are a giggling mess.  You two finished your dinner and when Dorine was about to bring out her card, you stopped her.

“This is on me, Mama.  You’ve taken care of me the last few years, it’s time for my payback.” You winked at her and handed your card to the waiter before she can even react.  She just shakes her head at you and you tittered.

“M-Mama?”  You asked after signing the receipt and placing your card inside your wallet.

“Yes baby?”  You smiled at the endearment and you cannot help but blush.

“D-Do you know where Mark is?  Is he at work?  At his apartment?”  You blushed even further because you didn’t just ask Mark’s mother where he is.  Dorine just smiled at you playfully before checking her watch.

“He should be at his apartment now.  It’s almost 9:00 pm.  You’ve been there before, right?”  She smiles and you bit your lip, so Dorine also knows that you slept with her son.

“Don’t be shy, baby.  My son told me everything, including that.”  She smiles and you rubbed your hot cheeks and Dorine just laughed at loud.

”So I won’t keep you for too long, ______, I actually need to be at home by 10:00 pm…”  She stood up and you did the same.  She hands you a business card which has her number and you happily took it.

“I’ll see you around, ______?”  She says before enclosing you in a tight, warm hug.

“Take care, Mama.”  You said and Dorine smiled before fixing your hair and you two walked out of the restaurant.  When her driver came after a few minutes, she kisses your cheek before she gets in the car, waving you good bye.

Now you are left alone with your thoughts – after all the new found information, what do you think you should do about it now?

Mark just stared at the ceiling of his huge living room while he is slumped at his couch – the TV has been turned on for quite some time but he didn’t really pay attention to it.

When he left his parents’ place this morning after having breakfast with them, he informed his assistant and Jackson that he won’t be able to come in to work today and he will just try accessing his emails at home and advised him to call him if there are any emergencies.

“Hyung, are you okay?” Jackson called him once he receives Mark texts.

“I’m fine, Jacks, I just need to sleep this headache off, I guess.  But please call me if there is something urgent, alright?”

“Okay hyung.”

He cannot deny that Jackson doesn’t believe him 100%. But through the years that they’ve been friends, Jackson knows not to press his hyung further, and Mark likes that the younger understands him at times like this.

He managed to get some sleep in the afternoon after taking a call or two from his assistant and from Jackson, and one from Bambam saying that he has completed his thesis and he is graduating in a few days. He congratulated the younger and he knows that Bambam is also trying his best to not ask any questions to him when it comes to how he truly feels.

Mark grabs his phone and stares at his logs from two weeks back – the missed calls that you made – as well as the text message that you’ve sent asking “Were you at Han river” that he completely ignored.

He wasn’t sure if the talk that he had with his Mom helped him if he was to be honest.  They did have a quick talk before breakfast that morning, which he is not certain what that exactly means.

“How are you feeling?” Dorine asks Mark as she sits beside him on his bed.  He managed to go up to his bed in the middle of the night when he felt his back starting to feel cramped.  He sits up from the bed and nods at her mom sleepily.

“I’ve made breakfast, your Dad is downstairs.”  She murmurs after patting her son’s head.  Mark nods again and he was ready to stand up when his mother said something.

“Everything will be alright soon, baby.  Mama promises you that…”  She kisses his forehead before her mother stands up, walking her way out of his room, leaving him thinking about her statement over and over.

Everything will be alright soon, baby.

Mark maybe called a pessimist or anything that can be a synonym to that negative word, but he cannot think of any reason how their situation is going to be okay, especially soon.

Sure, he can try forgetting about you if you really refuse to see him again, but it will definitely not be soon.  It will take time, a lot of time to be able to get over you after all that you two had been through.  He just love you so much that he is sure it will be really hard to forget about you, if he can ever do so, he thinks.

So what his mother has been pertaining to, he has no idea.

Or maybe he has.

Does his Mom think that he should be the one to make everything alright soon?

It has been two weeks, should it be the right time to finally talk to you?  Is there a chance that you would finally allow him to at least talk to you and explain his side?  With what his Mom had told him this morning, she seems to be supportive of him pursuing you.

Why does women in general tend to be too secretive and vague?

He sighs in frustration because he thinks that he still needs to read between the lines with his mother’s statement.

He grabs his phone that he threw somewhere on his couch. He finds your contact info and he sits up, his heart beating against his chest so hard he can hear the vibrations against his ears as well as his limbs.

To call you or not to call you?

With just one swipe of his finger, he may or may not be able to listen to your beautiful voice once again.

Or maybe I should text her first?

“Goddamn it.” He curses loudly and was about to swipe the call button next to your name when he hears his doorbell ring. His head automatically shoot up to find his wall clock – 11:00pm.

Who will come by at this hour?  Mark just shakes his head before dropping his phone on top of the coffee table before walking his way towards the front door. Since he was still lightheaded because of the previous events, he failed to check through the monitor who was actually on the other side of the door so he just quickly pressed on the button to have the door opened.

Mark almost felt as if his soul left his body upon seeing the person outside his front door.

”______?”

Nostalgic, but, not really.

That was what you felt when you finally arrived in front of Mark’s house.  You cannot remember coming in to his house because you passed out that night, and you didn’t really had the chance to check it when you left the morning after. Good thing this is a familiar community so you do know how to get here.

You are really doing this.  After what Dorine had said, it had given you the confidence to finally see Mark, tell him how much you love him and how much you are sorry for everything that you had done to him.  You will also not deny that you had drank a bottle of soju before going here because you are not sure if you can handle this whole confession thing sober.

It took you a few more minutes of just breathing and thinking over your actions when you finally pressed on the doorbell.  After a few minutes, you are taken aback when the door opened widely, revealing the gorgeous man you’ve been dying to see.

”______?”  You heard Mark muttering your name and you look up to meet his flabbergasted and wide-eyed expression.  You almost wanted to back out, but there is no going back anymore.  You took a few steps forward and you let out a huge breath before flinging your arms around Mark, pressing your lips against his in a lingering, heartfelt kiss.

Mark is still startled at your sudden appearance in front of his house and adding you throwing yourself at him and kissing him like this, he is beyond stunned. He quickly encircles his arms around your waist as he started kissing you back, despite the fact that he is still shocked because of your surprise visit.  You moaned against Mark’s mouth when you felt him kissing you back slowly, so you slipped your bottom lip between his parted ones before sucking at his upper lip, running your tongue against it and Mark cannot help but groan at the action.

“Damn.”  He pulls away for a second to breathe and to admire your face for a few seconds before he cradles your jaw with his hand while the other grabs your nape gently, pulling you against his to let your lips mold against each other’s once again. You tightened your grip against around his neck as he kisses your mouth fervidly, his tongue aggressively snaking inside your hot cavern when you let out a gasp, running the wet muscle over your teeth until it finds your own, both of your tongues dancing and battling against each other for dominance, the pent-up desires that you two had kept for the last few days of not seeing each other finally dawned to this.

You felt Mark’s hands trail down the back of your legs quickly as he continues to nibble on your lower lip, letting out a breathless “up” and you jumped slightly and Mark wraps your legs around his middle, before backing you against the nearest wall.  Once your back hit the cold wall behind you, Mark was quick to kiss you again, definitely not letting this precious moment to slip out of his fingers – nor do you.  You gripped the back of his neck as his kisses are becoming more frantic and fierce, as if his source of oxygen is through your mouth, as he nibbles and bites gently on your tongue and lips, before diving in to suck lewdly on your wet muscle, and you cannot help but helplessly moan against his mouth which only made the man kissing you even more aggressive.

When he kisses you again, he finally let you set the pace as you tongued each and every part of his sweet mouth, sucking gently on his tongue before catching it between your teeth, before pressing chaste kisses against his pink, abused lips.

“I love you, Mark.”  You blurted out breathlessly before pressing another long, wet, open-mouthed kiss against Mark’s mouth and Mark unconsciously presses his body closer to yours, securing your place against his shaking body by gripping on your hips.

“I love you so much, Mark.”  You kissed the sides of his mouth and Mark squeezes your sides before grinding against your middle out of pure pleasure, which made you stop kissing him and the moan that just left your mouth made Mark hungry for more.

“I love you too baby girl, _______, you have no fucking idea how much I love you and how long I’ve waited for you to be here with me and to have you in my arms and to be able to kiss you once again –“  He emphasizes his last statement by pressing another wet kiss against your mouth and your tears automatically fell from your eyes.

“I am not dreaming, right?  You’re really here, ______?  My baby girl, ______?  Tell me I’m not dreaming and you’re really here with me… please baby.”  He cradles your face between his hands and you’re surprised to find that his eyes are watering as well.  You nodded furiously, enveloping his hands that are cradling your face before pressing your forehead against his.

“I’m here, Mark, you’re not dreaming… Or if ever this is a dream, I would never want to wake up…”  You smiled and Mark cannot help but close the gap between your lips again. The kiss is slow, passionate, uncalculated, and loving, compared to fervid, rushed, and strong kisses that you had shared earlier.

“Baby girl…”  He groans against your lips when you buck your hips against his groin mindlessly when he sucks on your bottom lip.

“Hmm?”  You massaged Mark’s nape and caresses the hairs at the back of it before teething his bottom lip.

“I love you so much, have I already told you that?” He kisses your nose and you giggled.

“Quite a few times… and I love you too, Mark Tuan, my savior, my knight in shining armor, and my first and forever love.”  You kissed him again and Mark blushed so hard his face and ears turned into bright red.

“Baby…”  He gently sets your feet on the floor but he was quick to lift you off of it again, carrying you bridal style before closing the door behind him using his foot, making you let out a loud squeal.

“What are you doing?”  You asked him with your eyebrow raised and he smirks at you as he walks his way up the stairs.

“I’m going to make love to you, baby.”
