i realised looking at my jade merch from the mirror, that, since things are mirrored, he looks like Floyd mirrors
so just imagine a drunk floyd babbling on about how his shrimpy has betrayed him and how he's so hurt and upset, how could you do this to him? you were his only one and shrimpy🥹🥹
all the while glaring daggers at the picture in his phone (his lock screen in fact), you lovingly smiling into a kiss to jade's cheek, while jade cheekily takes a selfie. floyd's swearing bloody revenge on jade for stealing his shrimpy, but if only he had the mental capacity to realise his flipped appearance is almost indistinguishable to his twin brother ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

One of the great things about fiber arts (at least to me) is that... you outright own the things you make. It's hard for me to comprehend actually owning something, and that's that. The item you have created doesn't need to come with strings attached (pun intended).
In a world where you are constantly buying things but not owning any of it, truly, it's such an odd experience to actually have ownership of your labour, time, and love like that.

OH SHIT, did ya'll see they're coming out with a second le bourgeon & fleurir kuji?? kuroba looks so good in it!! 😭🍀✨
ok seriously tho — that merch line is probably my absolute favorite ones they've ever done for osmt so i had to draw something based on it with kuroba. i didn't want to go with the obvious plant of choice so i went with another one i associate with them ; iberis / candytufts. in hanakotoba, they can mean " captivating the heart, " " memories of first love, " and " sweet temptation. " [ x ]

I forgot to post the last few paintings! I have also been experimenting with watercolors, because I've never been a person to git gud at a single craft when I could be mediocre at ten million 😂 (stay tuned for my impending adventures in straw marquetry and lampshade covering) (neither of those are jokes).
For watercolor, like with acrylics, I dove in pretty big, with the aim of having things for my parents' new house by mother's day. So I was very much aiming for foolproof projects! I had two very tall, very skinny frames (12x36) that i got from the clearance section, thinking I would buy 36 inch watercolor paper, only to learn that no such thing was in the stores near me. So for that, i went abstract and layered, using spacers from the papercrafts i never followed through on to give it some dimensionality that doesn't photograph well. And then i looked up tutorial videos for loose watercolor flowers. Very much a learning process, and I was painting right up until noon of mother's day, but I had fun and mom was delighted! Now it's time to back down and do real studies and learn the fundamentals, haha

A CEO that actually supports pride month? Never thought I'd see that... and in Hell, no less! Hope you stay safe and enjoy whatever parades they have in Hell. That goes double for Juno.
“Thank you, dear viewer! I wish the same for you.”
“Vox! I need more purple hair dye!”
“Why?”
“I’m making my hair look like ✨space✨ or a sunset. I haven’t decided.”

Things I spend a not negligible amount of time thinking about
[ID: A greyscale mdzs comic strip consisting of 6 panels. The first panel shows a young Lan Wangji looking forlornly past the viewer, captioned “I want to take him back and hide him.” The second panel shows Yiling Patriarch Wei Wuxian staring unhappily off to the side, while the third panel is of lwj’s mother in the same position; her eyes hidden in shadow and a barred window behind her. In the next panel, wwx has turned to smile at lwj. The image of the barred window is shattered behind him. The fifth panel shows lwj looking mildly surprised and upset, while the fifth panel shows him looking off to the side in sad determination. This panel is captioned “...But he is not willing.”]

Jeremy Bradshaw: Leyendecker study traditional art edition 🫶
I’m sorry I disappear on and off but I don’t have time to draw in the midst of my final final exams to finally get my degree, but I did a lil Jeremy! Still experimenting with acrylic markers and wanted to try to study Leyendecker’s art but traditionally this time as I did one already digitally with Jeremy 🫶
