Jolt & Sini

Two devaronian siblings who were founded and adopted by Pozo Zalza. Jolt and Sini became part of Clan Zalza respectively, and were taught how to fight, having trained against many other foundlings and Mandalorian children along side them.

Although they were rarely seen apart, Jolt found a new job as a security personnel / bodyguard for a separatist coder. Working side by side with Count Dooku and his coder on the planet of Serreno.

Sini was left on Coruscant, and was apart of an underground drug ring as she become good friends Jewels Rixz.

the two would have eventual visits. More or less Sini was allowed to visit Jokt on Serreno, but not allowed to stay for longer than three days. This causing a rift between the two siblings. Both still deeply lover one another and care for one another as their bond is deep. And they will always be a clan.

they cant stand him, they work well with him, he gets under their skin in a way no one else can, he's a great cook and will feed them on occasion, he forced them to work at the monstro lounge as payment after """helping""" them on some personal matters, he's actually not that bad to hang out with throughout closing time

Have you ever drawn a human jolt before? Or any human Sonic characters at all? I feel like maybe you have, but I can't remember.

I have! You can see the messy sketches for initial ideas of their gijinka forms here.

TBH these sketches are better as first passes, not a final design. IMO, humanized Sonic characters should utilize the initial influences that guided the overall sonic aesthetic creation so it still felt timeless and recognizable and not "humans wearing a sonic suit". Which is a really tall order and one I've not had time to attempt more seriously.

There was another pass from years back that was never posted (kinda forgot haha). Still not "it" but feels a bit better and was still fun to explore.

(Trying to not make their human forms look like Yu-Gi-Oh GX rejects is quite difficult.)

(So I found a picture and just imagined this in my head. Darn you art block,I wanted to draw this. Here i imagine jolt and steel would be comrades who work and train under team dark. They'd be good friends I imagine,they train well together, with steel being able to withstand and hold most of jolts power...for a few minutes at least.

Making him a good training partner for jolt to go full out and helping her with control.)

Steel walked into the break room of G.U.N. headquarters for some coffee. He didn't need the caffeine, he just enjoyed the flavor. He found his fellow rookie jolt already brewing herself some tea. He smiled at her and gave a wave with his mechanical arm.

Steel:"howdy jolt. Any luck with training?"

Jolt smiled at the hedgehog,giving a small wave herself.

Jolt:"ehh. Getting better slowly."

Steel nodded and patted his friends shoulder,smiling.

Steel:"thats good. Any progress is good progress ya know? If your free later maybe I could help with your lighting maneuvers."

Jolt smiled and nodded.

"Id love that,fellow rookies training together!"

Steel and jolt bumbed fists,he then went to the table and got his coffee brewing. His visor then got a notification. A text from rouge.

'Don't let shadow see this 😈'

Raising a brow,steel opened the file attachment and uncontrollably started to giggle,he got weak in the knees and held onto the table.

Jolt noticed and walked over to him,unsure What to do.

Jolt:"you good steel?"

The cyborg hedgehog opened a screen on his arm showing this picture to his comrade,wheezing for breath.

(After this,I'm unsure howd jolt would react but I'd imagine she'd start crying of laughter...maybe.)

this is actually the first proper animation ive done :'D like other than this ive animated a ball bouncing but that was more to test the software than anything,, lucky for me i consume animation memes more than i consume water so i know the basics B)

“oh, if only she still loved you, as much as you love her.” Fracture says, giggling as she watched the Devaronian male growls lowly. His growling reverberates throughout the room as the hybrid circles him. His blue eyes piercing daggers as he watches her intensely.

“You’re lucky they bound me right,” He hisses with hostility at the inquisitor. He is curious of how this inquisitor knows of his ex girlfriend. The question arises on his tongue before he can think, “How do you know her?” He asks, as if the Empire doesn’t have records of separatists or those who have added the independent system union.

“Oh, you can’t tell?” She muses with a pouty look on her face, bending down and putting her hands on her knees.

“ She’s my sister “

i drew this after someone asked me about Kongo, and i realized i never shared Fracture 💀 i also haven’t shared Jolt or Sini who are big parts of both Fracture and Kongo’s story’s respectively.

Fracture wasn’t originally suppose to be kept a inquisitor but i’m re writing her and decided that yes, this is a better way for the story to go than to bullshit Fracture’s way out of the empire.

Abilities:

"Rage Light": Jolt has a Berserker Mode that utilizes the Dual-Channeling ability. She gets stronger with every hit taken up to 10 times her base strength, and becomes an unstoppable juggernaut.

"Dual Channeling" - Being a Scytere, Jolt has the ultra-rare genetic ability to channel two Eco Types at once. Specifically, has an affinity for Red and Yellow Eco, the two most destructive types on the planet (sans Dark Eco of course).

Combat:

Jolt is a legendary rage junkie. If there is enough Eco in her system, they can trigger the Rage-Light ability, a nigh invulnerable state that boosts their offense and defense tenfold. This is used sparingly and in dire situations; if used for too long, Jolt's system could literally burn up, and/or run out of Eco.

The RED Gauntlet is for short range, point-blank power attacks, and the YEL gauntlet is for ranged offense. For typical melee, Jolt uses them both to fire-punch her enemies in the face. >:)

For Heavy work, the VF1000 is the full version of the Vulcan Fury, with armor-piercing rounds that can punch through the bio-mechanical hides of even the toughest Metalheads.

(Bonus) When low on Eco, Jolt can absorb her own Red or Yellow Eco Shells from the gun or gauntlets.

Is 'Shadow and Jolt' ongoing? I'm curious how their relationship will grow. I like that you made Shadow so calm and always a little sad (and also somewhat clueless toward certain social cues, this make mim more, how to say? 'human?') instead of the boastful psychopath jerk like the one of the IDW comics. I like you showed us Shadow can work fine with light hearted/funny situation without losing his cool.

I would be interested about also how Jolt will develop, who she is. Usually I don't like Sonic fans characters, but this one caught my attention. I would like have her among sonic's friends instead of Silver, the chaotix and virtually all post Adventure series characters.

It most definitely is still ongoing! Just on hiatus as of now. The next update's very slow-going but I've been tinkering with it in its digital drafts.

Wow, thank you so much for your kind comments! Shadow is such a great character and it was important that his best traits are captured as accurately as I could make them.

Cool characters with reserved, straight-man personalities work well in comedy where silliness happens TO them rather than them intentionally causing it. It doesn't mean they have to be completely humorless though. Shadow's capable of cracking a sarcastic quip here and there or doing something funny at the expense of an enemy (kicking Infinite's teeth in for example). He's just not an enthusiastic, jovial type like Sonic.

It's a big relief that you noticed the nuances I'm attempting to carefully weave in. It's not perfect and there's always room for improvement but it's nice to know that the effort is appreciated. And I'm so happy that you look forward to more of Jolt! Sincerely hope the story is worth the wait for everyone invested in seeing her grow. Thank you again. <3
