How can I listen to episodes before the ones that are listed (to 175)? Are they removed from hosting? Do they exist somewhere? I’m asking because is there an episode about Crystal (being poisonous) or did Ken lie to me?

Greetings to everyone who finds us, I just posted what will hopefully be my final farewells to our official Twitter account. I set up a bunch of automated posts back in early 2023 and those are still running on that account, but after it's done it will be effectively abandoned. I don't have any future plans for that account and in all likelihood it will be deleted as soon as we decide there's no further use for it.

This is the Tumblr account I set up back in August and promptly forgot about. I don't like to discuss the personal details of our life but 2023 was an especially hard year for us and in order to really make this account and the podcast happen, I need to be able to focus on it. So that is the immediate plan for 2024, to hopefully regain my focus on and especially my love for theatre.

Unfortunately I have not participated in any theatre in four years now, there are a number of reasons but the big one is that my mental health isn't that good these days. I'm hoping that returning to a more literary / academic approach to theatre will help satisfy my need without tempting fate with my anxiety.

The general vibe of this blog is largely light academia / dark academia, with special focus on dramatic literature, theatre history, and probably some pictures of actual theatre buildings. Also things like poetry, coffee shop and bookstore vibes, that sort of thing.

"The shabd currents in Bhanwar Gupha are so sweet and enchanting, according to the Saints, that souls live entirely off its invigorating nectar, desiring nothing but darshan [vision] of the presiding lord and the manifestations of Light and Sound. Kabir, the most famous of the medieval saints, describes in his writings (or, at least, those attributed to his pen) how hamsas (pure spirits) live on spiritual dweeps (islands) with magnificent palaces for transmundane enjoyment. Faqir Chand, in his Yogic Philosophy of the Saints, gives a more psychological interpretation of the meditator's experiences in the fourth region: 'When in the course of meditation man reaches this state of Bhanwar-Gupha he experiences that there was none except his own self. This centre is compared with Bhanwar which means whirl. At this centre a wheel rotates like a cradle. It means that at this centre a wave springs out of the surat of the meditator and again merges in its own source, or say, it rotates around its own source and produces the sound of Sohang-Flute. The Shabd of this centre is so effective that the meditator enjoys the pleasure of being one with the Supreme Soul.'" (Enchanted Land)

Any Recommendations for a Replacement Podcasting Platform?

As the title says, I’m possibly looking for a new Podcasting platform because I’m not a huge fan of the changes that are taking place on the podcasting platform formally known as Anchor. The idea that Spotify is changing things over there slowly puts me off wanting to use it anymore, as I despise Spotify with every fibre of my being.

Are you able to host a Podcast on Google Podcasting? I’ve read on an Apple support page that you can host a podcast directly on Apple Podcasts, though the same article claims that Apple recommends you host a podcast elsewhere and upload it on Apple as well. Does anyone have any experience hosting a podcast directly on Apple Podcasts?

Of course, there’s Podbean, which I am a fna of for the most part, though the layout of both the site and app is a little tricky to navigate at times from an accessibility perspective.. Podbean costs money, and I’m trying to regulate and moderate my subscriptions at this time. I’d like to find a good free altnerative podcasting platform if possible.

I took a look at Soundcloud for the first time in a long while as well, but it is still an inaccessable mess. So Soundcloud isn’t an option, which is irritating.

Anyone have any thoughts? Opinions? Recommendations?
