When I sold mattresses there was this cool box spring we sold that had drawers in it. One day, my manager and I were going over the specs on them and I was staring at the open drawer intensely.
“What’s up?” He asked.
“I bet I could fit in that.”
There was a thoughtful pause from both of us before he silently left to grab a screwdriver. He unscrewed the drawer and set it on the ground.
I fit.
From there on I’d tell customers it was so big you could hide a body in it, and if they didn’t believe me I pulled out this picture.

A wild update appears
Oh hello! You asked for the ability to reply to posts from your secondary blogs. This post exists to tell you that we’ve made it possible for you to reply to posts from your secondary blogs. That is all.
Just kidding. Some benefits of this:
You can now reply to a post from your hyper-specific fandom secondary.
You can now keep the conversation going without reblogging the same post over and over again.
Your primary will remain hidden so you can communicate on posts from your secondary blog as if you were replying from a primary blog. Neat!
How do you do this, you might ask. On web and mobile, when you go to reply to a post, simply click or tap on your avatar, and select your secondary blog of choice from the list that appears.
If you experience any problems with this feature, please reach out to Support. If you have questions, message us on wip, and we’ll give you answers.

Why do the adult stages of insects have short lifespans?
Most animals can't reproduce, and most don't even develop the organ systems to do so, until almost the end of their development. Many mammals are actually rare freaks for their ability to start reproducing as little as a third into their lifespan, and keep reproducing over and over until they die; it's an extreme and radical survival strategy we evolved that comes with some pretty severe trade-offs, in that we have high energy demands and require so, so much food in proportion to most other organisms, not to mention all the ways those reproduction systems can take on illness, malfunction or hurt us. Other animals like birds and reptiles and various fish opted instead to reach adult size as fast as they can, build the reproductive system, and then just take it easy: they live a long time and can mate more than once, but they don't do so constantly and don't make that many young. The MOST common strategy in nature, basically the default norm is to devote most of your life just to eating, growing, and storing resources in your body, then "spend" all the resources you can on reproduction, giving so much of your energy to your babies that it actually kills you. The upside is that this is why most animals make hundreds or even thousands of young in one go, which better guarantees that at least one will survive. Salmon and octopuses are two of the most famous non-insects that do it that way, but so do thousands of other mollusks, fish, members of the various "worm" phyla and others. Many insect groups hyper-streamlined this, so they have a larval stage that's just an eating machine, like caterpillars and maggots, possessing only the bare minimum anatomy they need to keep on eating and growing and nothing else, usually incapable of even traveling from the same food source they were born on. They then use up all of this stored energy to create a body that is perfect for perpetuating their species, including more mobility (such as wings) to spread their population further. Insects exhibit almost every variation there is, but many insect groups hyper-streamlined the basic method so they have a larval stage devoted to non-stop eating, like a caterpillar or a maggot, devoid of any anatomy that does not help it collect all the energy it can as continuously as it can, then use up that energy to build an equally dedicated mating form, which may last only days or weeks because it even gave up the ability to eat as it devoted as much of its body as possible to making those babies in that one big go. There are still many exceptions including insects like cockroaches who mirror the mammal strategy of mating over and over for a relatively "long" adult life, or insects that still only mate the one time, but still at the end of a fairly long adult life that continues to eat and store energy. The most extreme exception to this might be aphids, which continuously develop clone offspring and give live birth to them for their entire life, by which I mean some aphids are born already pregnant with their first clone. These actually still go through a normal mating process too, though, when a winged male finds them near the end of the year, and then they die after laying proper eggs that can survive the winter. The non-stop clone babies are just so that one female has even higher odds of mating with at least one of those males, because now there's 10,000 of her for him to find. To understand basically everything in nature you just have to understand that: 1: life forms actually work like video game characters in that they constantly "farm experience" (nutrient energy) they have to spend on their unique spread of stats and abilities (every body part and system comprising them) 2: every life form evolves as if the only goal of that entire game is to generate offspring and increase the odds of their survival, literally no matter what must be sacrificed.

The Fat Protestor
by @sparklejams and @jordallenhall
For everyone showing up to protest the US government funding of a genocide -- be loud, be safe. Your body is a force. If you are able, use it.
Police identify people by body type/clothing. Be aware (as if you could possibly forget) that you don't have the privilege of blending into the crowd.
Be aware that fatmisic police protocol and infrastructure can endanger your life during arrest.
Let this inform the risk that you take.
If you get arrested: raise hell about being cuffed with your hands in front of your body.
Mid-fat, super-fat, and infinifat people are especially at risk of positional asphyxia when cuffed with their arms behind them. Be especially vocal about any stress position where your knees are raised (sitting on a low police van bench, for instance).
Police typically don't listen to folks when concern is expressed over being cuffed in the back -- be loud. Verse yourself and your community in de-arresting practice. These risks are not commonly known, though are present not only for fat people, but also those with asthma and other breathing difficulties.
Make sure the people you are with are informed of these risks before protesting.
Direct action is sweaty. Prepare against crease rashes (yep - it's a normal self care maintenance thing if you have skin rolls/folds. It's normal. It's common. It's nothing to be ashamed about.) by drying with paper towels, using antiperspirant or cornstarch under your breasts/belly. When you get home, shower and treat with a wound cleanser (shoutout bactine spray) or a tea tree oil balm or soap as needed.
Our fat bodies are magnificent contributions at protests. Our fat bodies take more effort to move - think of all the wonderful ways we can use this to our advantage at a protest or direct action. We can block pathways and hold precious land with our fat bodies. We can shield and protect precious people with our fat bodies.
Bring:
• Change of socks. If you get caught in the rain or doused with water, or even if you sweat through your socks - walking around in wet socks will cause bad blistering.
• Light first aid/bandaids
• Water, snacks, meds
• A physical copy of your emergency contact in case of arrest
Try to go with other fat people. Comrades in normative bodies may not always consider your body and what is safe for you - so make sure you loudly advocate for yourself and your needs within whatever group you are with.
Stay cool. Take breaks. Sit or stop when you need to. Try to be hyper-mindful of getting overheated.
In case of hospitalization:
• Make a packet containing all medical info, advance directives, and emergency contacts. Put it in a clear sleeve with a humanizing photo of you with loved ones at the front.
• Learn more about how to make a Connection Kit and humanize yourself to healthcare workers in the Know Your Rights Guide on nobodyisdisposable.org
Remember that there is so much to do beyond the front lines.
• Provide jail support (wait to greet released protesters with water, snacks, hugs, and rides home).
• Provide your home as a central prep and recovery space before/after.
• Stay near the action and offer your car as a mobile phone charging station.
• Provide childcare.
• Drop off supplies.
Honor your body as a resource for civil disobedience. Center your needs.

Once the dusted returned to life, most described it as a feeling they have never felt before. some unnerving horrifying feeling of losing control of one’s own body.
Peter didn’t agree. the sensation had actually been quite familiar to him. See, Peter has a hyper-mobility condition, and being dusted felt like muscles giving out as all limbs went numb. Sure, peter had never felt it that intensely before. But peter was very familiar with the feeling of losing control of his body.
So for Tony, when Peter fell into his arms, for a second, all Tony could do was try to support him as lightly as possible, to avoid further injuries. Because surely, Peter was just over exhausted and was having a sudden flare up. Tony had caught Peter dozens of times for that reason. And tony didn’t want to make the injury worse by holding on too tight.
But it wasn’t a flare up. And tony would live to regret not holding on tighter for the rest of his life.

hi! if you're feeling up to it, may i request tadc cast reuniting with the reader after escaping the digital circus? (not sure if caine would work though, sorry caine fans ;_;) tysm! btw, A+ gif choices :>
Reunited! (TADC cast x reader!)
Except Caine <|3 I kept putting this up because I uh uh
Kinda kept forgetting <\3 I'm so sorry anon 😭😭
This ended up more so being what you guys get up to after reuniting in the real world!
Written on mobile!
Tumblr media
POMNI:
Sure she may have wanted to escape the digital world... a lot... but she never thought she would actually escape, and with everyone else too..! So that's nice! Imagine her shock when by pure chance she runs into you. More so shocked than anything, but relieved.. she was so tied up from being free again that she didnt realize how much she missed you.. it feels.. weird holding your real body.. but it's not unwelcome!
JAX:
Honestly the hardest thing for jax is to tone down his whole.. asshole thing, because people in the real world arent trapped in a space. Actually it would be this reason that you almost dont recognize him..! Woah jax not being an ass for once? Thats not your man!!!!!
As for feeling stuff... oh boy I think I mentioned somewhere that hes a clingy shit behind closed doors, or maybe that was a hyper specific request.. but get ready to have to carry this dude around for a few hours
RAGATHA:
I know I mentioned this. a few times but I love the idea of ragatha and her partner opening up a little bakery together. I can see her being into baking plus I think it fits her aesthetic; if she didnt get into Doll making and stuff... ponders... tearful reunion for you two, ragatha cant help but get a little touchy when she realizes it's you.. though she awkwardly pulls away and apologizes for that.. please hold her and dont let go
KINGER:
Its.. nice... I already have two teary reunions in this post.. hmm.. I don't think kinger would cry. The way I can describe it emotion wise is when you find an old trinket from your childhood. Nostalgic, maybe? I think he takes the longest to build himself back up to where you guys were in your relationship.. the trauma (which realistically they all have, however I think so far at least its hit kinger the worst), losing his possible wife (queener/queenie), reconnecting with his kids (I hc he had at least one kid!!), ect ect
You guys are going to have to take it slow, you know? I have a second request with this prompt for kinger so imma go more into that there!
ZOOBLE:
Writing this down first before I forget but you guys open up a body mod shop together. Piercings, tattoos, ect ect ect. Idk zooble just kind of gives off those vibes, and I feel like you guys would do that together. You guys move in a.. longish..while after reuniting in the real world and confirming who you are to one another.. it's not so much as zooble wants to make sure it's really you, its more so zooble needs time to get used to the real world again + they're cagey about their space !
GANGLE:
Another tearful reunion, she cant believe it's really you. She really thought that she would never see you again... but you're here..! Similar to jax, shes going to cling right onto you and not let go.. you guys hand out nearly everyday for the next few weeks while you try to sort things out, perhaps quickly moving in together

Sad that Ashton didn't keep the Boots of Speed because as Taliesin said, they could do terrible things.
Base 80 feet walking speed when the Boots get activated is already pretty hefty, but when paired with Ashton’s more mobile rage modes? It is wild.
In Spatial mode, it's possible to travel 200 feet in one round without dashing. If it's a swarm fight and Ashton manages to knock someone out with each attack, that's two 60 foot teleports plus the 80 walking speed.
And Temporal mode is Vax-level absolutely bonkers once Hyper Rage is activated. Quadrupled speed because the Boots and Hyper Rage both double, so the base walking speed is 160 feet.
Oh yeah, and the whole time they’re zipping around in these boots, Attacks of Opportunity are at disadvantage. Want to see how many enemies they can get to waste their reaction the first time or two they go for a run?
Also, pairing this with the push and damage bonus of the Belt of Momentum? So evil.
So yeah, Ashton should have kept the boots. He doesn't go down enough to need the ring.

Watching IFTV and it's really fascinating to see the way Claire's attempts at bullying bounce off Rei's thirst because once you get past the comedy of "Joke's on you, I'm into that shit", there's this persistent and perhaps even radical subersiveness to their whole dynamic, which lies precisely in the sense that it gets to act as a dynamic?
Claire's bullying is often an attempt by her to mobilize the apparatus of noble hegemony upon those she sees as undeserving and inferior, an act of humiliation in which she exposes and "corrects" what she perceives to be an irregularity in the hierarchy and therefore derives purpose by upsetting the position of another, a (dis)placement that draws upon the aspects of the public execution, the symbolic decapitation of a reputation, to re-enact and re-establish aristocratic authority in the theatre of classes and ideas that is the academy.
When Rei responds to this not by defending herself in terms of the dubious categories of essence or ability that have propped up this profoundly unequal society, but by doubling down on the theatricality of the ritual humiliation, by embracing its exhibitionistic aspects and transforming it into a heightened platform for the declaration of her queer identity, she accordingly elevates her queerness by its encounter with a hegemonic power that it refuses to be categorised or stereotyped by, and indeed subsumes the thrust of Claire's inquisitions and degradations into her gleefully transgressive play of performances (doubly relevant given that she knows she's in a game), attaining freedom through stock characters, writing herself and Claire into a complexity not afforded to them by the original text by flipping the script.
While Claire attempts to bring the abstract and lofty ideology of the aristocracy, the hyper-public common sense of inequality that is enshrined in law and culture, into the arena of public interaction, hoping to make an example out of Rei, to make an upsetting reality conform to the script she's been schooled in, Rei moves in the opposite direction, and brings the private into the public, politicising the otherwise concealed, downplayed or ritualised matter of sexuality and attraction into daily life where it cannot be ignored. While Claire strives to strip away what she sees as false pretensions to expose the true essence of people underneath, believing that it shall confirm the differences she's been raised to believe are inherent in the classes, Rei turns these attempts at revelation into a symbolic eternal striptease, revealing always another layer, another exposure that turns back on the one who hungers to strip away, turning their desire into a dependency, a "not yet" that lets Rei set the world to her own timepiece.
As such, Rei integrates at one stroke the fact that she loves women and the fact that Claire loves aristocracy, yoking the two into a similar level of political importance, the genius of which is that it works two ways. On the one hand, it renders Claire's bullying and class violence an act of seeming kinkiness and indulgence rather than the sacred duty of the chosen few, an "Oh my, not here, darling, you're so demanding today!" in which Claire is framed as a dommy queen going to great lengths to maintain the roleplay, an actor who clearly likes her bit in this French-nobility-themed drama a bit too much, hamstringing entirely any authority she might demand outside the context of the bedroom. On the other, by putting forth the perspective that all the ritualism and pomp of aristocracy is just that- rich kids playing dress-up and not at all the solemn proceedings of the gifted elite, Rei also strikes a symbolic blow against the cult of nobility, puncturing the gravitas with which they appoint themselves protagonists in politics, and exposing in her invocation of roles the possibility also that these roles might change, that any day now the next set of domineering and imperious rulers might not be of noble birth at all, and the day after the troupe may put on a different production entirely, forgetting in their fun all this now-outdated talk about empires and princes.
While Claire is of course initially incensed and disturbed by this, given that Rei challenges and erodes the entire purpose of her identity-affirming tactics of bullying and challenging usurpers, making her wonder if she is truly entitled to any grander obedience and special status at all, these ideas of fluidity and performativity might also represent for her a chance at change and escape, a route out of the crumbling palaces of a decaying royalty. If she is not in fact essentially and transcendentally the daughter of a noble house, then she also needs not act like one, and could be anyone she pleases and be with anyone she's pleased by. Rei's queerness therefore represents a challenge and threat to the entire system she is housed and mantled in, but also offers her a path to happiness as a person, a right to joy and love that is freely given to all who live and needs no grounding in nobility- indeed, it is only by the destruction of her mythos and iconography, that terrifying and liberating act of blasphemy, that she can become human and therefore go on to become a freak, the making-by-breaking that is promised by the queer revolution, a transcendent transsexuality, a metamorphosis that makes all reality into the cocoon that it shall soar free of, feeding-as-needing, desire as production and a new genesis.
In short, I Favour the Villainess boldly asserts that loudly loving evil women is a vital step in the revolution, and that's such an important message. "I Can Fix Her" as "I Can Create a World Where She's Just a Travesty and not a Tragedy". Wanting so badly to give a bitch head that you rescue hers from the guillotine. "My favorite Girlfailure was Marie Antoinette". Simply an excellent premise.

Okay, so I've just noticed something, and now I've got a ask...
Could it be possible for Magnus Bane - as a Warlock whose father used to be a Fallen Angel - to be able to use a stele to draw runes on Alec's body?
Because yeah, beyond the fact that Alec hasn't been seen with a flexibility rune drawn anywhere on his body before he started dating Magnus...
WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD HE PLACE IT ON AN AREA OF HIS BODY THAT WOULD REQUIRE AN INSANE AMOUNT OF FLEXIBILITY FOR HIM TO BE ABLE TO REACH IN THE FIRST PLACE?!?!?!
Unless you happen to be a contortionist, and/or have extremely hyper-mobile shoulder joints, please do me a favor and try attempting to draw or trace anything there using either your right of your left hand. See what I mean?
Once you've got that flexibility rune activated, perhaps it would be relatively comfortable to do so.
But without it?! It's like one the worst possible spots one could think of using to put it!
Jace's flexibility rune has been put somewhere stylishly practical that's easily within reach for him, at the very least.
But Alec's?!
I can only think of two explanations for this:
Magnus is the one that drew the rune there himself.
Someone else - most likely Jace - did it for him.
And I can't tell which one is my favorite!
Because, while part of me can't help but think how incredibly cool it would be for Magnus to be able to draw and activate runes on Alec's body...
I kinda love the idea that, at some point, right before Alec was going to head back to Magnus' loft, Jace just decided to grab his stele, lift Alec's shirt, and start drawing something on his left shoulder blade!
Alec: [Trying to wiggle his shoulder out of Jace's grasp, and bring his shirt back down.] Jace! What the Hell are you doing?
Jace: [Trying to force his parabatai to stand still.] Just relax and stop moving, alright?! Trust me about this, you'll thank me later!
Alec: [Reluctantly does as he's told, trying to ignore the stinging sensation.] I've still got a feeling I'm going to regret this.
Jace: [Laughs, as he finishes drawing the new rune.] Oh no, you won't! You're going to love this tonight, and so will Magnus!
Alec: WHAT?!
Jace: [Smugly pushes Alec's shirt back down, and gives him two small pats on the shoulder.] There. All done! It should have a stronger effect and last longer, too, since I'm the one that drew it!
Alec: [Turns towards his parabatai, eyeing him carefully.] Jace, what rune was that?
Jace: [Shrugs.] Flexibility. Oh! [Starts fumbling with the edge of Alec's shirt again, at the front this time, looking for something.] Where'd you put that stamina one again? I know it's around here somewhere...
Alec: [Glares incredulously at Jace but, to his own surprise and against his better judgment, doesn't attempt to stop him.] Seriously?!
Jace: [Triumphantly] Ah! There it is! [Activates the stamina rune, before letting go of Alec's shirt, stepping back, removing his own, and handing his stele to Alec.] Say, would you mind activating mine, too? I've got a group reading at the Book Club tonight that will probably end up late.
Alec: [Sighs and rolls his eyes, grabbing the stele to start activating the same runes on Jace's body.] You're impossible...
Jace: I think you mean caring, thoughtful, and the best parabatai in the whole Shadow World that's looking out for his big brother!
Alec: Uh-huh... [Still pretends to be annoyed, but there's a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth as he finishes to trace the stamina rune.] How large is that group reading tonight, by the way? Want me to activate the endurance and agility ones, too, while I'm at it?
Jace: [Beams back at him.] Okay, you win. You're the best parabatai.
I'm also amused at the thought of Jace or Izzy just discreetly walking behind Alec to activate that large "calm anger" rune through his clothes whenever he's having to deal with some idiot from the Clave, and they notice his patience is just about to snap!
Still, that "calm anger" be a rune that someone else drew there, and that's typically activated by another Shadowhunter, is something I can deal with just fine!
But FLEXIBIILTY?!?!?! How?! Why?! How?!
"I have a flexibility rune, but I'm not flexible enough to use it myself!"
Good job, Alec!

I think I should put in my two cents considering the Hazbin hotel leaked Angel Dust clip. I’ll say that this post should be one absolutely massive trigger warning. If you’re sensitive please don’t read this, I’m pretty blunt. Also I’m only talking about a small leak but SPOILERS!!!
So before I make any points I’ll start by saying that I’m not an inherent fan of vivziepop, this isn’t meat riding, it’s a genuine attempt at open conversation and discussion. I’ll also say I’m a survivor myself and while I don’t claim to speak for anyone else I have some ground to stand on here. I completely understand that people can be triggered by this type of imagery and will at least skip this particular scene or episode, I promise I’m not talking about you guys.
You wanna know who I am talking about though? The weird ass moral police I’ve been watching mobilize. It’s crazy how people are making a big deal out of this. I’ve seen three arguments and all of them are terrible in themselves and being used to justify terrible behavior.
I’ve only seen people claim three major things, this is a bad depiction of a s/a survivor and situation, this is something that’s too graphic and immoral to put in a TV show, the fact that the singing and dancing lightens the tone in a way people find distasteful. I’m going to be trying to prove why I find these arguments mostly ridiculous and unfounded.
As for argument one, s/a survivors come in all shapes and sizes and hyper sexuality happens to be an incredibly common reaction to sexual trauma. I haven’t watched episode one and two but even if I had I’d still have too small of a sample size to determine the entire tone of an incredibly messed up complex dynamic between too incredibly interesting and layered characters. It’s ridiculous to have so many assumptions and expectations of an *11 second leaked clip.*
Secondly. Creative freedom is possible the most important thing in art. If we didn’t have the freedom to put what we wanted on paper or on screen then we wouldn’t have had so much societal change recently. Just because you might find something distasteful and immoral doesn’t mean it absolutely has to be hated on and removed. It’s okay to not like things because you find them gross, it’s okay to not enjoy graphic depictions of serious subjects, it’s not okay to start internet wars over moral bullshit. It’s okay to be mad in silence sometimes, guys.
Thirdly. I kinda get this one, I don’t agree with it but I do understand the point. The idea you don’t want a serious subject framed with a sexy pop song is not inherently bad, it’s just something that makes me think you wouldn’t have liked Hazbin Hotel anyway. I actually appreciate the fact they are using the creative medium to make bold and shocking decisions but I get some people are sensitive to new things, that’s fine. Where this argument gets ridiculous is when people act like this is very out of line for a show like this. This isn’t a Saturday morning kids cartoon it’s and adult animated show about people in hell. It’s highly likely that this won’t be the worst thing we see, you either need to heed the trigger warnings at the beginning of each episode or get over it.
You’ll notice that I didn’t bring up anything about the merchandise pins or the storyboard artist, I did this because they aren’t arguments but barely related attempts at character assassinations. When you spend five minutes thinking about them critically you come to realize that there is nothing substantial to those arguments.
I’d like to finish up talking about how I think this scene is doing more good than harm. It’s important to make people uncomfortable when you’re talking about things so horrible like s/a and rape. It shouldn’t be meek and palatable for a general audience, it should upset you. I remember hearing something in a video game once that stuck with me. There was a character who said that when you’re sick you need strong medicine and that the strongest medication is very bitter.
I think episode four will be some very bitter medicine.

WHAT IS VESPERS HEAT LIKE?? (Can't believe I missed the mention of it before)
TW: Mentions of eating disorders (it'll make sense, don't worry)
Vesper's heat functions the same Santi's does. Or the same way any concubus' does really. If you don't recall, this post might refresh your memory.
The difference here is that, with Vesper, the intensity of what you feel is tenfold what you'd experience with Santi. Because naturally, you're dealing with a demon who produces more pheromones, requires more stimulus to be satisfied, has more stamina/endurance and a whole lot more power.
The reason Vesper enters heats is the same as Santi's. "Overeating". Albeit slightly unhealthy, this is expected out of an Icon, overindulgence.
When the Lust Icon is in heat, it's all hands on deck. While Vesper will be entirely focused on hunting you down, you can't handle his heat on your own, you'll sustain injuries without a doubt. The servants and other high-ranked members are immediately mobilized to keep the King always occupied and well-fucked, so that you can have breaks and be healed/emotionally recover.
Since being in heat renders Vesper a completely dysfunctional mess, it puts Lust's harmony at peril, so these episodes have to be dealt with quickly and effectively. The goal is to get him down from that hyper state by forcing him to expend as much energy as necessary as fast as possible, which may sometimes result in day-long fuckfests. It's messy, but it ensures minimal productivity loss. If you have Vesper's mark, you're also going to suffer through this until Vesper's calmed down.

My lord, I hope this message receives you well. I’ve sent this on behalf of myself in hopes that you may be willing to adopt somebody as a child, though I expect that adoption would be a waste of time, considering you’ve expressed how many things are a waste of time for you.
My incredible qualities are.
Autism. Hyper mobile disorder. Really good at fighting, I was supposed to go into MMA but, y’know. My joints got all loose and jiggy with it. I can do a very convincing fake laugh. I am a good therapist! I can help you realise which of your traits are trauma and which are just you!! I’m super duper loyal, I will kill if need be. And eeerrrmmm. Byeah that’s it.
(I am ridden with fleas.)
- Yours truly, possibly your new favourite son <3
You may be a servant.

Anonymous Asks: "hiya! how would the sdj crew {+ bo of course <3} interact with/react to a partner who has ehlers-danlos syndrome?
it'd be funny to mess with them with the hyper mobility stuff lol- but it would hurt at a certain point ;;"
Tumblr media
This is a very coincidental ask!! I'm currently getting tested for hEDS!! I always love writing disability stuff.
Content: unsafe use of hypermobility, horny exercise, general horniness, injury, joint dislocation/subluxation, disability as body horror (consensually)
Tumblr media
Jack:
See, Jack's a health and exercise man, but he's also from the 80s. And he's a horny bastard. He doesn't know what hypermobility is, but he does know that you're very good at stretching~ So he'll try to flirt through a little exercise routine, but once he pushes you far enough that a joint subluxes or dislocates, he gets worried. He'll learn more about your eds and try to do what he can to keep you healthy!
Ian:
As soon as Ian finds out about it, he's nervous. He's so worried about hurting you! It's easy to freak him out and make him squirm in discomfort by showing off your joint mobility. He gets really worried that you're gonna hurt yourself. If you do though, he's there for you, playing the perfect nurse! He'll make sure you don't overextend your joints and he'll do anything that's risky for you to do.
Shaun:
Oh you know Shaun's all over it! He tries to stay away from body horror that's based on disabilities, but if you're willing to show it off and you can choose whether or not to be moving your joints like that... well, who is he to deny the impeccable horror possibilities of it? He does worry about your health, of course. But he trusts you to make your own choices and not push your body too far.
Nick:
Ayyyyy we're back to my chronically ill Nick headcanon!! He knows lots about joint braces and mobility aids. He knows all the best painkillers, massages, heat pads... He'll even help you figure out all the specs for a wheelchair if you need one for your bad days. He always reminds you not to push yourself too far, but he is also well trained in using hypermobility safely in the bedroom~
Joseph:
Joseph isn't the most flexible guy in the world. At the very least, not until he has to start training for the role of Jack. So he's very impressed by how flexible you are! Honestly, unlike the others, he'd focus less on the hypermobility part of it and more on things like how fragile your skin is. He becomes very worried any time you get a scrape or cut or bruise, he keeps bandages on him at all times!
Jean:
Jean's first, second, third, and fourth thoughts are all horny. Honestly, probably far more than that are. He doesn't think about any other aspect of it unless you bring it up. He doesn't like it if you try to use the hypermobility to creep him out, he'll just stare disapprovingly. He's another one who gets really worried about your skin being damaged, but he's more likely to help cover it with makeup.
Rory:
Rory thinks it's cute that you're so flexible! Like a little clown or contortionist or something else circus-y! He's impressed by everything you can do with it! Though, the first time you dislocate or sublux something, he's very upset and doesn't like the idea of you showing off your hypermobility anymore. Your health and safety are his top priority and he'll hold you and soothe you when you're hurt.
Bo:
Bo knows less than nothing about human biology. All he knows is that you can do fun tricks with your body! But he also knows that sometimes your fun tricks hurt you. He doesn't like seeing you in pain, so he'll scold you if you do anything that might hurt your joints. On the other hand, when it comes to how fragile your skin is... well, he can't help but enjoy how easy it is to mark you up...
