Hi everyone! It's been a little while, but @ruddcatha and I are thrilled to bring you the next chapter of The Debutante and the Dog, which is a gift for @cannibalsforbreakfast 🥰

In this chapter, lots happens! Inuyasha goes into protective mode over Kagome during the wedding ceremony, and later, meets the rest of her family. He also realizes that his feelings for Kagome might go deeper than ten thousands dollars, and is completely and totally unsure of how to handle that.

- When she met Primis Nikolai and teamed up in Alpha Omega, she started to look at him as an ally and a better "alternative" than his Ultimis counterpart while teaming up. 

Primis:

- The descendant of the Castilian knight Sir Diego de Villanuvea.

- Quite a softie, only a little bit.

- WILL kill you if something happens to the crew, especially when something happens to Nikolai. (Girlboss must protecc Big and gentle malewife 🥺💖)

- Has a teddy bear named Nick (sometimes she would purposely misspelled it as Nik) and would talk about how fluffy and cozy to hug the plushie as she makes Nikolai blush, knowing that she knows that he's falling for her badly and a little bit of tease would make him reveal it to her.

- Loves dogs and has a pomeranian named Sunny. (She got Sunny when she was around grade school.)

- Always makes jokes about being miserable and always suffering in life, which Nikolai and Takeo hate hearing and tries their best to comfort her.

- Smart as hell, believe me.

- Loves to read literature.

- Her music tastes are Jazz and Love songs.

- A polyglot (Aside from Filipino, English, and Spanish, she can speak German, Japanese, and a bit of Russian.)

- Knows martial arts. (Mostly used Muay Thai and Karate.)

- Loves the color red and blue.

- Same with her Ultimis counterpart, she doesn’t get drunk easily.

Dark Aether:

- Sort of a chill person.

- Silent, but deadly.

- A very skilled assassin.

- A master of disguise. (She is known for disguising as her Russian "counterpart", Natasha Borkov and it works.)

- Like her Primis counterpart, she’s also a polyglot. (Filipino, Spanish, English, Russian, Japanese, German, Italian, French, and Korean.)

- Has a pet Shiba Inu named Yuki. (She loves calling her dog Yuki-chan when she arrives from her apartment.)

- Like her Ultimis counterpart, she only smokes occasionally and doesn’t get drunk easily.

- Usually goes to arcades with her friends during her college years.

- Loves to listen to Japanese City Pop, Russian rock and new wave.

- Has a notebook with her where she writes what happened during her time in the Aether when she was young.

- When she meets Ravenov, she finds his personality familiar as she compares him to Primis Nikolai and Dempsey.

- Loves the shade of purple.

- She adapts some personalities from the Primis and Ultimis. 

- Teams up with Adler, Mason, Woods, and Hudson when she is present in the C.I.A. and was part of Alder's team when they were dealing with Perseus.

- She also knew about the MK Ultra and about the Two Bells Dimitri Volkov and Kaoru Sasaki (My two Bell OCs from BOCW) which everytime she would read her last name, it would always end up saying Masaki, which reminds her of Takeo.

Okay, I will pick my favorite scene from Punch Drunk Love.

When Inuyasha goes to threaten Bankotsu, and Kagome makes Inu promise not to hurt him. And Inu DOESN'T, but does scare the shit out of him. My god, the protecc energy there is so high and I was THERE FOR IT! Basically anytime in that fic where Inu is protecc is my favorite 😅😉💖

How old are Kagome and Inuyasha in The Real Me? 💛 loved the new chapter btw 😘

Hi there anon!! @kalcia and I are so happy you liked the latest chapter (I always do love writing a jealous and stressed out Inu--poor boi--and a Kagome who is all protecc over her soulmate)! Your question is a really good one. Let's see....

Kagome is 32 in the story; old enough that she's been around for awhile, had a chance to make a name for herself in the business. I headcanon that she's been with Zeitgeist 5 or 6 years at this point? She met Shiori when she was fresh out of college, writing little reviews for The New Yorker. They were together for a few years, and then, when Kagome got the offer to join Zeitgeist, she left New York, and Shiori, behind. She would have been about 26 or so at the time.

Inuyasha is tougher. We kept his age kind of vague; demons in this story definitely age more slowly than humans, and so I would put Inuyasha's countable age (like in years) at somewhere around 75 or so? But in terms of maturity, he and Kagome are about the same in age--he might be a little bit older. And Inutachi has been together for eight years at the time the story takes place.

I will give you a tiny spoiler: you will get to read Kagome's article in this story (in fact, her article IS already written!), and in that article, you'll learn more about Inuyasha's life.

A little canon-divergent story...

The Inutachi comes across a village with a strange aura. Kagome says it gives her the creeps (and Miroku and Inuyasha agree), but she can detect a jewel shard somewhere in the village. They decide to go and check it out.

Inside, the villagers are warm and friendly, which suggests something other than the strange vibes coming off the village itself. The headman is very kind to them, feeds them, and offers them a place to sleep. However, he requests that the boys sleep in one room, and the girls in another.

During the night, Miroku, Shippo, and Inuyasha's room is attacked; youkai powder immobilizes Shippo and Inuyasha, and Miroku is bound, his shakujo taken away. Turns out this village is looking for a human sacrifice to appease their god (who also is in possession of the jewel shard Kagome detected), and since Inuyasha is half-human, half demon, the villagers think that he is special and will appease their god even longer...maybe forever.

And when Kagome realizes that Inu's been taken, it awakens her miko abilities (and her PROTECC mode), and she will blast through heaven and all the hells to get him back.

Good morning, @lavendertwilight89 love! Ahhh, some InuKag questions! Let's see....

I think that one of my favorite things is canon/canon divergent, where Inuyasha and Kagome bicker bicker bicker, have sex, are now together, but still bickering (and probably having lots of sex). I could read a million of these stories and never get tired of it.

Another one I love is super protective Inu OR Kagome. I really love when one of them goes all protecc over the other (canon or AU). And then if they can't quite pinpoint WHY they're having these protective feelings (because they like each other!), that's even better.

Hill I will die on: Inuyasha can extend Kagome's life--whether it be through mating, youki infusion, whatever. If we are going to headcanon that youkai live a really long time, Kagome needs to be by Inuyasha's side every single second, because the fact that he had to live three years without her is already too much for me to handle XD
