I really need to remove my inhibitions and just start mass liking and reblogging things. Back on Reddit, I rarely interacted with posts because there was no joy outside the initial discovery of them.

But here, there is joy in being able to share what you found with other people. I feel like a kid on the playground showing the other kids the cool rock I found only for them to show me the cool stick they found.

You know, there are things that'll absolutely make my day. Like, reading a story that makes you physically react across the spectrum, seeing people being kind and supportive, finding that one obscure fic with the perfect pairing and tags - you know, things we all love.

However, when I get a DM from someone else who's creating for the fandom community and it says anything along the lines of: "omg, thank you for sharing my art! So many people have interacted with it after that! I want to create more now!" IT ABSOLUTELY MAKES MY FRIKKIN DAY AMAZING!

SHARE STUFF! Just do it! Your reblog might be the push someone else needs to find absolute joy in what they've created and may get the boost needed to create more for the community! Our community is us! We make our community so help make it!

Maybe that creator who person A reblogged will make person B go [gif] but that wouldn't happen unless person A reblogged and helped share. Now person B can reblog and on it goes - community building!

Hello, some venting from my side

I’m really in the mood to write, especially for sugar mommy x Steve or stacys mom x Steve, but I don’t even know if it makes any sense if there’s so little interaction or feedback:( of course there are some loyal readers (🤣❤️) that leave comments or reblog my work which makes me incredibly happy (especially now), but I’d appreciate more feedback. Likes are awesome, of course, but they are rather useless on tumblr. If you like something reblog it at least, maybe leave some kind words. It really makes a writers day much better,

I’m trying to write and update everything once in a while, even though I’m incredibly busy in my private life since I work night shifts and sleep during most of the day-I don’t have much time for my fitness or family, nor for the writing but I’m trying to do so, even if it means doing it at 5 am after my shift ends.

Please, interactions like reblogging and commenting are important and make writers actually want to write. Also spamming the inbox with something makes one happy. Even if it’s just some random talking, random thoots…

I see you reblogging things from the slumber party blog. If the reblog is there, why reblog it again?

I feel like that's fairly simple, nonnie. Reblogs help boost posts. I help Roo with @the-slumberparty and, yes, fics and moodboards are reblogged there. But why would I not share the stuff on my page, too, and reach potential readers who don't follow that blog?

I only wish I could share more fics and at a faster rate because so many creators work their asses off on their creations. Reblog. Boost them. They deserve it.

I see a lot of people commenting about how it’s really important to reblog art posts so that artist gets the traffic they need. Which is absolutely true and I’m not at all taking away from that!

But may I also just add the related point- please for the love of all that’s good reblog fics and links to fics if you enjoy them! As tough as it is for visual artists to get reblogs, from what I’ve seen and experienced over the years I’d argue that it’s even tougher for us writers. Fic posts (unless the writer/fic is enormously popular) get very low notes, and it’s usually mostly just likes. But when you reblog not only are you helping other people to see it, but you’re also letting the writer know that it was good enough that you want to share it on your own blog. Trust me, it makes a huge difference. 🙏🏻
