If anyone recognizes the design, it is the Khepera dragon from roblox Dragon Adventures. I’m the creator of the original and current (as of posting this) design and I wanted to do a little redesign to preserve it because I love it so much,, so I guess this is the dragon if it were put into Creatures of Sonaria.
heres one of my FAV bugs evrr.. the HERCULES BEETLE!!!
They’re a species of rhino beetle and are SUPER SUPER AWESOME!! The males can reach up to 7 inches, the horns making up around 1/3 of their body length, with only males having the horns. Larvae feeds on rotting wood and can reach up to 4.5 inches in length!!! Adults feed on rotting or fresh fruit and tree sap!!
Adults can lift 850 TIMES THEIR WEIGHT! These bugs are definitely one of my favs, i just think theyre so neat :3
happy birthday Aces!
the international Ace day made me realize i’ve been procrastinating way too long on adding more pride bug designs to my redbubble, so here, the aroace stag finally has more ace friends
Fresh from pupating!
A few days ago, I had peeped in on her little pupal chamber and saw that the pupa had turned black, and there appeared to be moisture gathering around it. My view was very limited, but I could see that the pupa had turned over so that the legs were underneath, rather than on top as it had been prior. I assumed that someone had jostled the jar, causing her to roll, and that this had somehow killed her--hence the blackened, moist(I assumed to be a sign of rotting) pupa.
But no, I guess she was emerging from it!
Very cool!! I am so happy that she was able to pupate successfully despite my unpreparedness and lack of knowledge haha
Oryctes rhinoceros

Hey, do yall like bugs? Cuz I've got some bugs I'm pretty fond of.
Here's Mirrel, the deep witch, honeypot ant, specialist in blood based magic, and also classy gal when the mood strikes her. She doesn't HAVE to dress like a witch while doing witch stuff but she's dramatic like that, though the mask does actually contain powerful enchantments.
And here's Apollo Briggs, rhino beetle, a top agent of the monarchy and the council of queens. On an average day that basically means being a cop. If he's lucky it means being a detective, and if he's not it means menial tasks at the behest of the monarchs. He's got an attitude and drinking problem, but good intentions. He's been known to use his authority to bend the rules, but always with what he considers to be a good reason.
And here's the husk, a bug of indeterminate species carving its way through the colony, albeit selectively. It's hollow like a molted shell, always wears a mask, and keeps a collection kf knick knacks from its victims. It doesn't talk, and it's motivations are unknown, as well as how it selects its victims. All that's known about it is it leaves its victims as empty as its own self
