The nervous system of a moth is structured such that it will navigate at a particular angle to the rays emitted by a bright light source: this happens to be a very good system for flying in a straight line when the light source is a celestial object located at optical infinity and the rays are therefore parallel when they reach the moth. Unfortunately, if the light source is much closer and the rays diverge, the moth's on-board navigation system will steer the moth in a spiral that leads into the source (and to a fiery death). This really got a lot more traction than expected. This tells me a lot more people don’t know how to cope or deal with their emotions than expected. But there are better ways to tend to the issue than trying to change external forces that you can’t control. Instead, one must learn to focus on what they can control, themselves. - I had concrete beliefs, as unbreakable and hard as walls; I stood by them, I was raised by them and for them; And just like #StDunstanInTheEats I was burned, bombed, destroyed. This church was named after a monk with a colourful life, and just like him, it went through a few things. First, the Great Fire, and then, rebuild; In 1941 it was almost entirely wiped out by a German bomb, having just some ruins left. The Anglican Church was forced to abandon it, and then, it became a garden. We still have our foundations and part of our structure, but we have more, we have something that the beliefs and toughness could never give us: Evolution. Following nature’s path, we evolved. We have found our way, no matter how bad we were: we have learned to adapt, we develop our strengths, our new “us” had blossomed despite all the damaged caused, took control knowing our weak spots to create new defenses, the resilient beauty of remembering who we are, and becoming the best versions of ourselves at the same time. Nature, life, always finds its way.
