S/o is a huntsman hailing from Vacuo, whom was asked by General Ironwood to work alongside Winter on a special assignment, to which he agreed.

At their first meeting, Winter got a very alien feeling when she met him.

After its completion, they both report back to Ironwood before bidding each other farewell.

He sighs sadly before going to delete Winter’s contact from his scroll, but can’t bring himself to do it.

Winter isn’t doing much better, as she realized that distancing herself from s/o is hurting her too.

“I’m such a fool! S/o probably thinks I dislike him! Out of all the ways I could’ve handled this, I chose the most childish option! I need to make things right with him!”

Not wasting any time, she calls s/o and apologizes profusely, also telling him to meet with her tomorrow to discuss something important.

“Alright, tomorrow I will confess my feelings to him! No matter what the outcome is, this is what I need to do.”

The next day, Winter meets s/o at a popular cafe in Atlas and prepares her confession.

“Firstly, I am so sorry for ignoring you s/o, it was wrong and completely immature of me. It doesn’t justify my actions, but the reason for my behavior is that I was scared.”

“Scared? Of what Winter?”

He asks as she looks at him and takes his hands into hers.

“It’s nice to meet you Weiss, your sister’s told me a lot about you.”

“Pleased to meet you too s/o. Thank you for being so good to my sister.”

Winter smiles in relief that the two people she loves the most are getting along.

Unfortunately later on, s/o had the displeasure of meeting his girlfriend’s father Jacque.

“You cannot be serious Winter! How could you be in a relationship with someone like him?!”

“And what exactly is wrong with s/o?! He’s the best man I’ve ever known, I’m not looking for your approval!”

“You are a Schnee! Dating someone who’s not in your league is an insult to the company! I will not allow this relationship to go on any further!”

“That’s where you are wrong father. I won’t be a Schnee for very much longer.”

Jacque glares at her with a raised eyebrow.

“And what is that supposed to mean?”

Winter smiled and showed off the beautiful ring on her finger.

“S/o proposed to me a few days ago, to which I happily said yes. You don’t have to worry about me tarnishing the Schnee name anymore father, because soon I will be a (your last name). Come s/o, it’s time for us to leave.”

She takes her fiancée’s hand and begins walking out of the room with him as s/o looks back at his livid future father-in-law.

“It was…..nice meeting you Mr. Schnee…”

S/o says awkwardly before leaving with his wife-to-be.

“I’m so sorry about him s/o.”

Winter says as she rubs her temples in annoyance.

“It’s fine. You told me this was going to happen anyway. I don’t care if he doesn’t like me, because all that matters is that I’m with you. I love you Winter.”

She smiles warmly and kisses her future husband.

The two then share a loving embrace, with Winter thinking to herself how glad she is to have fallen in love with s/o all that time ago.

Ruby Rose

Ruby is so sweet as a mom, she absolutely adores her family. No matter how many kids you have or their gender, she is gonna accept them with open arms

Being one of the top Huntresses means she is often out of the house in the mornings. But she always makes sure to come back right on time and call her familly if otherwise

Loves showing off Cresent Rose to the kids, and when they get old enough she lets them hold and try it out. If they want to be hunters/huntresses she is the first person to help them figure out a weapon

Does races with her kids, but always cheats and uses her semblance

Is decent at cooking, but really specializes in baking. Her cookies are to DIE for, your kids always try to sneak them at night (secretly you do too, don't tell Ruby)

Auntie Yang and her partner are always coming over, it's great! Everyone gets to catch up and the kids get to play, it's always a great time

Ruby always talks about how awesome Grandpa Qrow is, so clearly your kids look up to him. You often have to debunk a lot of the outlandish statements but it's cute nonetheless. Whenever he comes by it's always a big deal

Grandpa Tai tries so hard to be cool, it's often a joke in your household. He once tried to teach the kids to skateboard and fell flat on his face, giving himself a nosebleed

It's so sweet though! The kids always look forward to seeing him for a good laugh (plus he gives great hugs)

Ruby loves to barrage you guys with kisses

Weiss Schnee

Weiss never had a good childhood, fault being on both her parents. When she and her partner decided to have children, she swore to never make the same mistakes her parents did. She refuses to continue the cycle of abuse

Winter is always welcome to your house and always makes it to family events. She's still a bit cold but actually smiles when around you guys. Willow stays away a bit since she's still dealing with stuff, but makes an effort to occasionally visit. Jacques banned from even seeing any of you, and if he ever tries Weiss will threaten him with a restraining order

She always makes sure to go to all her kids events, no matter how disinterested she may be in the type of event. The excited look on their faces make it all worth it. Oh, and she's totally the mom to wave at her kids while they perform on stage

Can sometimes be strict when it comes to rules she has instated. No staying up too late, no staying out past curfew, stuff like that. She wants her kids safe!

Anytime she snaps at her kids or partner in frustration she immedietely stops and apologizes

Her dad is quite adamant about your kids having the Schnee Glyth semblance, but Weiss isn't worried about it. No matter what they have she isn't gonna love them any less

Has the BEST Birthday parties on the block, every kid wants to come! Tables lined with delicious food, tons of bounce houses, fun games, all the digs! Weiss also loves to use her summons to entertain the kids (They especially love the giant knight)

When the kids are at sleepovers and leave you two alone, you guys like to have mini date nights where you sip wine and talk. Weiss loves hearing about your day

Once the kids are put to bed she basically collapses on the couch with you and just lays there for a while in your arms

Blake Belladonna

Probably the most motherly of all of them. She had a great relationship with her parents and keeps a lot of her family traditions

Grandpa Ghira and Grandma Kali are very present. Ever since their grandkids were babies they were always very involved. Kali was most obvious about it, and likes to spoil her grandkids whenever possible. Ghira tries to be more aloof and calm about it, but you and Blake once caught him conked out on the couch with your sleeping kids in his arms

Very gentle with her kids and soft spoken. But when she gets angry you can hear the sharpness in her voice (that instantly shuts her family up)

If your kids runs away from you guys in public, Blake uses her weapon to yoink them and reel them back in

Uses her clones when they play games, she always wins at tag

Ever since they were babies, Blake likes to read books to her kids at bedtime. She reads a mixture of children's books and classic literature. It doesn't really matter what she reads, the soft sound of voice is the perfect lullaby

Teaches her children about Faunus issues and history very early on in life. It's important for them to know their history and culture

Always is ready with her phone to take photos and videos. She wants to capture all key moments your family experiences! Once a year she likes to have the family sit down and go through the collection

Sun likes to come by randomly and surprise you guys. Sometimes you'll be watching TV and hear a knock at your window. Blake reprimands him lightly, but it always ends up being a good time

Yang Xiao Long

Yang is the Cool Mom™️

She lets her kids dye their hair, get piercings, and tattoos. Of course the tattoos only when they get to an appropriate age, but it's not discouraged

Whenever the kids want piggyback rides she is happy to provide. If you have more than one kid she tries to carry them all at once

All the kids in the area adore her and loves to call her Auntie Yang

Definitely adores rough housing and play wrestling. She loves to teach simple moves and have contests (whenever she lets them win she gets really dramatic)

If they want to become hunters/huntresses, Yang is HAPPY to spar and train them! And if you want to join it makes a great family bonding activity

Does her kids' hair every day. Even if it's just a quick brush she loves to make sure they look their best

You own a grill that she loves to use. She likes to barbecue on weekends! Most of the time is fine it's just uh... she likes thing on the burnt side. Often you'll have to specifically tell her to not overcook everyone's meal

Loves to flirt and kiss you in front of the kids. Their cries of anguish and cringe is like music to her ears

Auntie Ruby and her partner are frequent guests in your house, they visit all the time. Whether it's to go to dinner or mini golf or just chill inside. It's also great for you all to catch up and the kids to hang out

Yang is the Cool Mom, Ruby is the Cool Aunt, and Qrow is the Cool Grandpa! Everytime Qrow comes to visit your kids practically tackle him. He always tells the best stories and sneaks your kids snacks and money

Tai tries to be the Cool Grandpa but kinda fails. He's sprained his ankle many a times trying to impress. Although they laugh, your kids absolutely adore when he comes around

There is no mention of Raven in the house. Yang refuses to bring that drama into her family life, she hasn't even approached her in general. But Yang doesn't care, she has everything she needs

•Ruby being Ruby had the most vibrant reaction shouting out that you were the vigilante thatha been appearing on the news and how cool it was

•Yang being almost as loud commented that it was actually pretty cool and flirtatious commented about how she's the girlfriend of a superstud now

•Blake being the calmest of the bunch said how everything makes way more sense now and pouted a bit saying why didn't you tell them

•Weiss being weiss scolded you about how you haven't been getting enough rest and about how dangerous what you were doing was but that she supports you and just wants you to take better care of yourself

•You being you took it all in stride and promised everyone that you take better care of yourself, but you felt the need to bring up that they could've just asked what was going on with you and you'd have told them

•Then you teased them about being so concerned for him that they couldn't help but snoop into your business, saying they must really be smitten with you

✦Speaking of gift-giving, since Weiss has her father's credit card, she's eager to spoil you and make you happy. One time you were celebrating your birthday and walked to your room to find many of your favorite goods along with flower bouquets. You would warn her not to spend her entire money on you and get in trouble with her father, and she would huff just to declare, "I don't care what my father thinks; I just like it when you smile."

✦Your personal spot with Weiss would be a comfortable cafe where you two would catch up. It's one of the first places you two have gone during your dates. It's a memorable spot for Weiss. She'd buy your favorite drink and sit with you while having a conversation about how your days have been.

She tried hard to contain a serious look but couldn't help but smile at your gorgeous appearance! She felt like she was going to explode—in a good way.

✦Weiss can't cook, but it's cute seeing her attempt to make something for you. With that, she's banned from the kitchen. You take the lead in cooking; she appreciates it a lot. In some days, you two would sit together and relax to eat cookies you baked (also with Ruby trying to steal one but that results in Weiss scolding her) with tea.

✦Weiss is shy with affection; she would give you a peck on the cheek or a small kiss. She would get very red if you tried to initiate a kiss; she would call you a dolt after that. On some occasions, however, she gains the confidence to sweep you off your feet. She would hold you by the waist and connect her soft lips to yours. She'd pull back with a soft look and say, "You're lucky you're cute, dolt."

✦She might come off as arrogant, a bit insensitive, and mean sometimes, but for you, she's the softest person ever. Whenever you're around, her ice queen persona suddenly disappears, and her teammates notice it, especially Yang and Blake. Yang would tease the white-haired girl, and Blake would just sit back, smirking with a book in her hands.

"Who would ever thought there's actually someone who can melt the ice queen's heart!" Yang laughs.

"Shut up you brute!" Weiss exclaims, irritated.

✦She doesn't call you any pet names much at the start of your relationship because she was timid, but after a while she loves calling you "Princess," "Honey/Hun," "Love," and with a frequent "Darling." "Dolt" is a playful nickname she calls you. She's actually pretty lovey-dovey and cheesy, and it honestly makes Ruby question whether to aw or barf.

✦Weiss loves you very much—much more than you know. She's honestly hesitant to tell her family about you out of fear, but now that you're deeper into the relationship, she's not scared to show you off; she will not care about what her father thinks, and she knows her sister will support you two. Whitley is indifferent about it; he's probably busy being a brat, Weiss thought. She is willing to fight for you; she is protective and will defend you in any way. You would do the same for her as well, and that makes her love you even more.

"You make me feel like I'm me, I just want you to know that I love you, you don't know how much I do," she smiles shyly, she kisses you and softly voices "Maybe one day, you'll take my last name."

Winter Schnee x She/Her Reader

A/N: Prt1 Winter’s turn to be sick. Hope you like reading it. Word Count: 1,728

It all started with a with a quiet sniffle.

(Y/n) had looked up from her desk when she heard the sound come from Winter, but the Specialist kept her head down, reading through the pile of documents on her desk. (Y/n) smiled warmly as the hard worker read on, admiring that hyper—focused expression she always loved to see.

Winter finished another paragraph before she felt (Y/n)’s eyes on her, she looked up from the report and smiled at her inquisitively.

“What is it?”

“Nothing.” (Y/n) shook her head, then leaned forward, fingers laced beneath her cheek as her smile became a little more teasing, “Just thinking about how pretty you are when you’re focused.”

A very faint blush dusted Winter’s cheeks and she scoffed quietly before looking back down at her reports. “Then you had best not distract me for the good of both of us.”

“Oh, but that’s not an issue for me. I think you’re pretty all of the time, no matter what you’re doing.”

“(Y/n)…” Winter’s eyes narrowed and the rosiness in her cheeks grew just a tab more noticeable. “Not while we’re working.”

“We’re almost always working,” (Y/n) chuckled before going back to her sorting, “A little workplace flirting here or there wouldn’t hurt.”

A quiet sigh of acceptance fell from Winter’s lips. She then pursed said lips, and brought her eyes back down to her papers, however a small smile did manage to work its way into her face, unbidden. And then the room was quiet again, save for the occasional swipes and clicks of technology and the rustling of paper. That is, until the next sniffle, paired with the clearing of Winter’s throat.

“Are you alright?” (Y/n) asked, looking over at Winter once more, the woman’s cheeks still faintly pink from their last little chat.

“Perfectly fine. My throat is just a tad dry.”

“Can I get you some water?”

“That would be nice, thank you dear.”

(Y/n) was warmed by the term in endearment. Winter wasn’t to keen on indulging on such aspects of their relationship while working, or in public, but there were sometimes when she would slip up.

When (Y/n) returned with water bottle in hand, Winter was clearing her throat yet again, a mildly uncomfortable look upon her face as she did so. (Y/n) came up to her desk and placed the water in front of her girlfriend. Winter thanked her again, sounding just a tad hoarse. She only took a small sip of the water before wincing and putting the bottle down.

“You aren’t coming down with something, are you?” (Y/n) asked worriedly, placing the back of her hand against Winter’s forehead. She hadn’t time to gauge her temperature before Winter leaned away, sitting up even straighter than before.

“Of course not. It’s probably from disciplining those students that missed curfew yesterday.”

“Well that would explain the sore throat, but you’ve also been sniffling periodically.”

“I’m not sick, (Y/n). I never get sick.” Winter emphasized.

“If you say so….” (Y/n)’s hand followed Winter’s face, but she teasingly pinched her cheek this time around. “But I’m still going to get you some lemon honey tea and a couple lozenges from the nurse’s office.”

“I’ll be just fine, the water is plenty. I don’t need to be babied.” Winter spoke with certainty, lightly batting (Y/n)’s hand away from her face, but the hand soon returned with another as reinforcement, gently cupping either side of Winter’s face.

“I’m not babying you, I’m loving you on you.” She leaned in and quickly kissed Winter’s forehead before putting some distance between them, narrowly avoiding Winter’s flailing hands. “I’ll go get those throat aids now.” She sang with a mischievous grin, leaving the room once more as Winter called after her with a reprimanding tone. She chuckled under her breath and continued down the hall.

When she returned next, Winter was still pink, but (Y/n) suspected it was from something a little more substantial than being a bit shy around physical contact at work where anyone could happen upon them. When she heard the honk-like cough that bellowed from Winter near the end of the workday she new that this was shaping up to be more than a little sore throat.

But she knew better than to approach Winter about it this time, no, she knew Winter better than that. Even if it was true that she had never witnessed a sick Winter in all of the time that they had worked together and even now that they had been dating for quite awhile, just from those short interactions today alone, she knew that Winter would be awful at taking care of herself during a cold because of her stubbornness and harsh self-discipline.

But that didn’t mean (Y/n) was going to let her run herself ragged as usual, no. She was just going to have to abuse her assistant duties and cook up a little sabotage. She opened Winter’s schedule on her computer and got her scroll ready to make some calls. She had to rearrange a few things before tomorrow.

When Winter awoke the next morning, it was because she couldn’t breathe out of her nose properly. She felt awful. A simple swallow sent her throat into needling protest, her head ached, her skin felt blisteringly hot. But what alarmed her the most was how bright it was outside her window. She never woke up later than sunrise, as per her routine. The position of the sun indicated that she had overslept by at least two or three hours.

“Oops. Meant to close the blinds in here.”

Winter turned her head toward the door, wincing because of her aching joints. She squinted against the light to see (Y/n) come into her bedroom with a tray in her hands, an array of objects on top of it.

“(Y/n) what time is it?” Winter asked hoarsely, trying to sit up in bed. “I must have overslept if you’ve come to get me.”

Once (Y/n) placed the tray on the bedside table, she gently pushed Winter back down on the bed.

“You don’t have to worry about what time it is because I’ve rescheduled all of your appointments for the next three days, more to follow if necessary.”

“What?!” Winter then succumbed to her worst coughing fit yet.

“Hey, easy sweetheart. Everything is going to be just fine.” (Y/n) promised, smoothing over Winter’s bangs.

“Everything is not fine!” Winter rasped, “You’ve betrayed me!”

“Oh don’t be so dramatic.”

“But you did! I have important work to do, (Y/n). I can’t lay in bed all day!”

“But you will. I’ve thought of everything, Winter. I rescheduled meetings, filed paperwork, got substitutes for your classes at the academy, anything you could possibly think of that needed to be done, is taken care of.”

“Are you absolutely certain?”

(Y/n) gave Winter an incredulous stare and Winter retracted her question. Of course (Y/n) had it all figured out. She seemed to know Winter better than Winter even knew herself sometimes.

“Very well, you could have at least told me before hand instead of leaving me in the dark until now.”

“If I had told you before hand, it would not have worked because you, my dear, are stubborn. I would have never have gotten this far if you knew what I was planning.”

Winter closed her eyes and sighed, making a displeased expression that made (Y/n) chuckle.

“You be glad I’m on your side. All I’m doing is making sure you rest up so you can feel better soon. If I really wanted to, I could figure out how to plan a month long vacation away from all those pesky duties.”

“You’re evil…” Winter whined uncharacteristically, shuddering in her blanket cocoon.

“And you’re still dramatic.” (Y/n) leaned down to give Winter a kiss on her forehead. “Oh, you’re burning up. I’ll close the curtains and get you a cold pack. Then we’ll see if you can get some cough medicine down and we’ll wash it away with some warm, soothing tea.”

(Y/n) closed the curtains to block out the pesty sun and then began walking out of Winter’s room to get the cold pack from the freezer. Before she can completely leave, Winter calls out to her in a raspy voice.

“Thank you.” She whispered hoarsely.

(Y/n) turned back to her and smiled, “You’re welcome, dear.”

Once Winter fully embraced that she was sick and there was no way (Y/n) was going to let her do even the most menial task, she acted much needier. It was a side of Winter that only (Y/n) had the privilege of seeing. One might think such behavior to be annoying, but compared to how Winter normally carried herself, (Y/n) found it quite endearing and it wasn’t like Winter had been coddled when sick while growing up in the Schnee manor. Or coddled at all for that matter. (Y/n) was very happy knowing that Winter felt comfortable enough with her to let her see her in such a vulnerable state.

“(Y/n)?” Winter whimpered, breaking (Y/n)’s attention away from the book she was reading, sat in a chair beside Winter’s bed.

“Yes, dear?” She put her book down. “Want more tea?” She was already getting up from her chair when Winter reached out for her hand and weakly shook her head, tangled white hair becoming more mussed by the movement. (Y/n) smiled and clasps Winter’s hand between her own. “What do you need, sweetheart?”

Winter seems a little pensive, but ultimately asks, “Hold me? Put your hands against my forehead? They feel cooler than my face.”

“I could change out your cold pack if it isn’t cool enough anymore.”

“I just want you.” Winter whined quietly. “Please.”

“Okay, I’ve got you.”

(Y/n) maneuvered around the bed to join Winter, not getting under the hot layers of blanket, but draping one arm over Winter, the other propping her up as she swept Winter’s bangs away from her face, lightly pressing the back of her hand against her forehead, cheeks, and back of her neck interchangeably. She smiled fondly when Winter hummed contently and pulled the arm hugging her middle closer to herself.

Before long, Winter drifted to sleep, quiet, sniffle-y snores falling from her lips. (Y/n) hunkered down, planting a feather-light kiss against her temple.

“Sleep well, Winter,” She whispered, “get well soon.”

summary: you hadn't planned to ever let you girlfriend know about your illegal activities, but when you come home one day after getting shot, winter starts questioning you...

“welcome home! dinner is ready in–”

winter's voice echoed through the apartment, as you opened the front door. your girlfriend popped her head through the kitchen door, a smile on her lips, that faded as soon as she saw you.

“wha– what happened to you!?”

you could hear the rattling of the cutlery winter dropped at the sight of you, as she hurried towards you. your view was hazy, as you had lost too much blood until now. winter wasn't supposed to be home yet and see you like this, but now it was already too late.

“n-nothing… please, go back to making dinner…” you mumbled through gritted teeth as you held your side, blood dripping from your body and soaking your clothes.

“nothing? how dumb do you think i am, y/n!?” while winter had seemed worried until now, but being hushed back into a kitchen like that, as if she was just some housewife you could command, had hit a nerve. “you'll tell me what happened! and while you do, i'm treating your wounds!”

you quietly dragged yourself into the kitchen, sitting down at the table, as winter got a first aid kit from the bathroom. when she returned, she also had a scissor with her, which she used to cut open your bloody shirt, before kneeling down, to begin treating your now exposed wound.

“you were shot…” she stated the obvious as she saw the wound, cleaning the blood off your body, before looking up at you. “tell me, how does someone working at a normal company that's selling and shipping goods end up shot?”

from the tone of her voice, it was clear she didn't believe that this was your true job. perhaps winter would've given you the benefit of the doubt and believed you got robbed, if you hadn't tried to play it off earlier.

“go on, tell me! how does someone like you end up shot?” winter grew impatient, glaring at you and beginning to remove the bullet. and she wasn't being particularly gentle.

“o-ouch… fuck…” you whined and felt tears shoot to your eyes. it really hurt like hell! but you knew this was nothing compared to winter's rage, if you wouldn't start talking soon! “it– it's not… necessarily a normal company…”

“so, at least you didn't lie to me about working there. that's good to know!” winter huffed, before you continued.

“we… well, we smuggle a few things on occasion… j-just some weapons and– ouch!!”

“just weapons?” winter grabbed a needle and a threat, beginning to close up your wound. “just weapons? you're saying it as if this isn't bad enough–!!”

“well…” you decided to ignore her for now and continue explaining. “today, things… didn't go as well as they should. we got caught and… i ended up catching a bullet”

“and then what? you decided to come home and take care of the wound yourself? hoping you could continue lying to me about your job?”

winter had finished patching you up, wiping her now bloody hands with a towel, before looking up at you. you didn't even need to confess to it. by the way you averted your gaze, she knew she figured you out. seems she seemed to know you at least a bit then.

“are you mad…?” you asked quietly. it seemed to be obvious, but you needed to know.

“of course i am! mad at you, for lying to me! and mad at myself, that i've actually trusted you!” winter huffed and got up, stepping to the kitchen counter and quietly standing there for a moment. you didn't know if she was holding back tears or if she was about to turn around and yell at you again. but then, she slowly turned around and sighed.

“if you want to make up for what you did… for lying to me… then, please don't try to fight what comes next”

your heart almost stopped when you heard her say that. you didn't know what was coming next. but you know it wouldn't be good.

“i've called the police…” your heart sunk as you heard those words. it really had gotten this far. “if you want to prove to me that i wasn't completely wrong about you, then you'll go with them and don't resist. if you admit to what you've done, then you can redeem yourself” winter paused. “but if you don't… then i know that i've wasted the last few years of my life dating a criminal…”
